They know the words, but they're too afraid to speak.
That's why Fluency Builder focuses on confidence building.
It's a mobile app you can download right now.

Welcome back to immersive Spanish.
As you remember from our last episode,
I was at the doctors due to some symptoms
from a bad seafood platter.
Now, I'm at home trying to recover.
Being sick is never fun.
but it gives us a good opportunity to learn some more Spanish
especially related to the home and taking care of oneself
firstly to say I'm resting in Spanish you would say
I'm resting in Spanish you would say
I'm descansando
next if you want to tell someone you need to sleep
you'd say
Necessito
Dormir
Necessito
Dormir
Remember
Necessito means
I need
And dormir means
To sleep
To drink water
As the doctor advised
Is
Beber Agua
Beber Agua
So
If I want to say I need to drink
A lot of water
I'd say
Necessito
Bever Much
water. Necessito. Beber. Much. Much.
Agua.
Bever is spelt with two Bs.
Not that it sounds like it though,
and that's because the B, sound produced in Spanish,
is very soft and actually closer to how we English speakers
pronounce the letter V.
If someone asks how I'm feeling today,
and I want to say I'm feeling a bit better,
I would say,
Me Siento a
Poco meh
Siento
Un
Poco
Mejor
Just like we learned last time,
me Siento means
I feel.
In the midst of this,
if you ever wanted to say you are taking medication,
you'd say
I'm taking medication.
This iso
Tomando
Medicacion
This is very useful when you want to tell someone
why you're resting or can't do certain activities
Oh look, that must be rim service
I just ordered some soup over the phone
Hello!
Soup in Spanish is

And yes, it's as delicious in any language.
If someone's
asks how are you today in Spanish they'd say
Como estas

which means i am improving
to mention that you've been resting a lot you would say
say,
I've been
a lot of
much
E
I've
stado
descansando
much
If you're spending
a lot of time
in bed like me
the word for bed in Spanish
is
Kama
So to say
I am in bed
you'd say
I'm in the
Kama
I'm in la

During sickness, we often read books or watch movies.

I'm reading a book.
If you're watching a movie, you'd say,
I'm seeing a movie.
I'm doing a movie.
A video.
And yes, sometimes a good movie or book is all you need to feel better.
Now, let's think of another home comfort.
Ah yes, warm blankets.
In Spanish, a blanket is
One manta.
If you want to say, I have a warm blanket,
it would be,
Tengo
Unamanta Caliente.
Tengo
Una
Manta
Caliente.
That must be my
