Episode 7, El Reenquenro.
Hello, Vieeros.
Welcome back to immersive Spanish.
Today's episode is a very special one.
I'm at the Aeropuerto de Madrid Barajas,
and I'm about to pick up somebody incredibly important.
Anne is flying in from Colombia, where we last saw each other a few weeks ago, deep in the jungle chasing ancient legends.
Can you believe we actually found a pre-Columbian gold artifact?
The Colombian government gave us a reward, and now we're starting a new life together here in Madrid?
I'm sorry.
Feels like forever since I last saw her.
Well, while I wait by the arrival gate, it's as good a time as ever.
to practice some phrases you'd use when reuniting with someone you care about.
Let's start off with, I've missed you.
Te extrañado.
That's three words.
Te,
eh,

I've missed you.
To ask,
how was your journey,
you would say,

To say, finally together again, you would say,
For fin, together,

Come here is.
Is?
If you want to say,
if you want to say, give me a hug, that would be,
Damme an abraso,
Damme an abrasso,
Damme an abrasso,
and finally, the most important,
I love you.
Te care.
Te, I care.
Oh, by the way, there are two common ways to actually say I love you in Spanish.
Te Amo and Tequiro.
While Tequero literally translates to, I want you.
It actually means I love you, but with a slightly less intense feeling.
It's commonly used in the earliest stages of relationships, with friends or in everyday conversations.
De Amo, on the other hand, expresses deeper, more powerful.
passionate love.
Think of, I'm in love with you.
I'd reserve it for the later stages of a relationship.
And there we have it.
Enough intimate expressions you'd need
when reuniting with your loved one.
I am nervous.
I better practice.
Te extra-draignado.
How is it your voyage?
Anna,
you're more linda than never.
I hope I don't forget everything the moment I see her.
It's been such a long few weeks.
You hear that?
Her flight just landed.
Any second now.
Oh, let me teach you one more phrase.
This one's really important.
You're my person favorite person in the world.
