All right, so what's up everybody? Ruba Garcia here and I do what I call real estate CIA.
What's that mean? The C is coaching. The I is investing where we do short-term rentals and all of that.
And the A is the agent side of the business where we have agents all over the nation.
All right. So a few things I wanted to go over here real quick, which I love to do. I love going to events.
I think it's one of the greatest places you can go that match your interests and it already aligned you with people
that are in the same interest field as you, right?
It gets you closer to these people.
We're all in one place.
I mean, what better place to go to get in proximity with people with the same,
ah, most of them with the same goals, the same intentions as you.
I love events, but I want to teach you how to maximize events.
So when you go to an event, it's not a flop, right?
That's really up to you.
And so what I'm going to do is outline it and that
way when you leave, you leave with the strategies, the models to make sure that you really maximize
your events. What I want to do is find out which events you're going to. Please comment below
so I know, hell, maybe we'll meet and chat and have that conversation. But let me know where
you're going and when, you know, what year. Maybe this is something that's watched many years
down the road. But let me know because I would love to meet you. A, and go ahead and subscribe and
like, because you know, that's just the right thing to do.
So number one, go ahead and commit.
Go ahead and commit.
Go ahead and get the ticket.
Get the Airbnb or the hotel.
And go ahead and get your flights.
You've got to commit.
Without that, what are you doing?
What are you doing?
You got to commit, right?
Add it to your calendar and go ahead and commit with putting money up.
So number one, go ahead and commit.
And honestly, doing this early, doing this ahead of time, doing this months in advance, the tickets and everything else are going to be.
be cheaper. So why not maximize that price point as well and maximize your commitment?
Number two, quick hack, which honestly, number two, two days. What I want you to do is go ahead and get a
day before the event. So when you're booking everything, make sure to get one day prior and one day
after. One day prior and one day after. The one day prior, a lot of stuff that we're going to go over
here today is going to give you the time to do it, time to plan. Okay. And the day,
day after it's going to be time to reflect and do a few things again that I'm going to talk about
here on this video. So make sure you do that. All right. Next, now that you've committed and everything
else, now invite your team. Now invite your team, the people that you know, the people that you love,
the people that are in the same world as you, maybe some people that are, you're all working in
the same direction, trying to conquer the same goals. Go ahead and invite your team. You've already
committed. Now commit to inviting your team. Want to take it a step further? Ask your team,
to bring a guest. So number three, invite your team and invite your team to bring a guest.
Now, why would you do that? You want people that are already in your circle to be on the same
mindset as you. Learn the same things. Maybe they hear something that you don't. Maybe you'll
tackle two different rooms like we do and they'll bring back notes of this room. You'll bring back
notes of this room. Obviously, there's just more power in numbers. So go ahead and talk to your team,
bring them along and then when you do that share this video with them share this video with them
because this is going to outline your play it's going to outline your play and it's kind of leverage for
you right so when you do invite them um go ahead and show them this video and when they do invite the
guest have the guests watch this video as well and hey hey guest um this is why might be the reason
why you've been invited but also just to prep everybody get them ready for what this is going to be
I will say this. When you do go to the event, yes, you can have time with your team and sit down and
eat and blah, blah, blah. But there's going to be a lot of goals in here that you're not really
going to be spending a lot of time with your team. The point of this is to network, is to meet new people,
new opportunities, and new opportunities come with new people and new relationships. So do not find
yourself being so tied to the team. You don't conquer a lot of stuff that we're going to talk about
in this video, okay? But it's still important to bring your team with you.
Next, go ahead and hit up your database.
Go ahead and hit up your social media.
Hit it all up.
And what I want you to ask is this.
Who do I need to meet?
Who do I need to meet in Texas?
Who do I need to meet in Florida?
Who do I need to meet in Virginia, California?
Wherever you're going, Puerto Rico, right?
Who do I need to meet?
Your database may know somebody that you need to meet that's going to help you scale to the next level.
And that would be a perfect opportunity to go ahead and set that appointment before you even go out there.
This is something we love to do.
and something I want to see you do as well.
So go ahead and ask your people, hey, who do I need to meet?
All right, so next, what you're going to want to do is bring a bag like this.
This is my signature bag for your ladies.
Maybe you're bringing a purse.
It's an old Spartan Race bag, but this right here is too easy, right?
You just zip it up with these little ropes right here
and then throw them around your shoulders and you're good to go.
Now, what do you put in the bag?
Let me just go ahead and tell you.
So you're going to need your phone charger.
right one you want to have your phone charger you don't want to be like oh man and run back up to your
room you're going to miss opportunity you're going to need snacks right so make sure you do that
worst thing you can do is get hangary right go ahead and bring your water right because you're going to
want to stay hydrated and also you can go ahead and throw all your passes in there anything that you need
for the actual event the whole idea the bag is not to waste time right you already have it on you
okay so when you show up to these events we're going to be very very very
occupied with our agenda, with our goals to network. And you don't need to be wasting time.
Like, oh, I need to hit up the snack machine. Right. But hey, you may make a relationship at
the snack machine, but this right here, you're prepared. You're prepared to go and not waste
any time. All right. Remember, you showed up one day early. Now you got a plan. What I like to do
is go ahead and hit up the grocery store and bring in everything, the apples, the bananas, the snacks,
the water, go ahead and get everything that I'm going to need in order to be prepared for the whole
event. I like to do that. I like to try to eat as clean as possible too. So I go ahead and do that.
But also, you just want to plan out your events, the days, the people you're going to meet,
the classes you're going to go to. Most events have an app to where you can kind of hit which
classes you're going to go to and it builds your own list. But if they don't have that, that's on
you, right? You've got to build that out. So go ahead and look at all the events.
who you want to meet, what you want to do, what are your goals per room? Go ahead and do that with
you and your team. Maybe it's even with your team so that way you can you can kind of double
tap a lot of these events, these classrooms, these workshops. But go ahead and plan. That's going to
be important. The plan is going to set you up perfect for the whole event. Oh, and by the way,
if you see an event that you can't go to because you don't have the right pass or whatever,
Dude, sneak in.
Sneak in.
Do your best to sneak in.
The last event I went to, and I talked about this in my video,
I tried to sneak into three rooms that I wouldn't allow it into.
I got into two of them.
I got into two of them.
So maybe you could do the same thing.
But if you see an event, don't believe, oh, I don't have my pet.
Try to sneak in.
At least try.
The worst thing they can do is say no, guys.
So there, you got my permission.
Hey, don't sue me, bro.
All right, you're in the event.
When you walk into that event, what I want you to do is sit as close as possible to the
presenter.
You want that presenter to see you.
You showed up to that room for a reason.
Maybe, you know, they're talking about a subject that you really want to engage in.
Well, remember, we're here to network.
Yes, we're here to learn too, but sit as close as possible up front as you can.
Okay?
Again, you want to be visible to the presenter and also most of these presenters are recording the event
It's nice if you can get your brand on camera, right in the background. Yes, it's small or whatever, but hey, there's a reason why we do that. All right? So make sure you get as close as possible to the front if it's already filled up fine
If it's roped off try to sneak in but get as close as possible to the front remember the worst thing they could do is say no guys
So sit as close as possible to the front.
All right, now you're sitting close, right?
Now what I want you to do is think,
I need to take these notes as if I'm going to be the next presenter
to teach the same thing.
What is that going to do?
It's going to help you take way better notes.
Way better notes and just quick jot.
You're going to think like, man, I'm going to be presenting this.
So I better take bomb notes.
So I don't forget something or something else.
And the reason why, yes, is for you to take better notes, but too, you will be presenting it.
You'll be presenting it to your team.
You'll be presenting it to others.
And what you'll find out later, you'll be presenting it on video.
So you want to take the very best notes you can.
And by the way, these notes, which we'll talk about later, you're going to be giving these away as well.
So you want to take the very best notes.
And my mental hack is, I'm going to be teaching this subject next.
I better not screw this up.
Let me take the best notes possible.
And that's how I do it.
All right.
So that workshop or that class, done.
Yes, there might be other rooms.
And of course, I want you to do this play with all those rooms.
But let's just use this one room.
We're done.
What I want you to do, and you'll see a mad rush up to the front.
Hey, throw those bows.
Now, listen, don't hurt anybody, but get as close as possible.
as you can to meet the presenter. I want you to do a few things. One, I want you to introduce yourself and let them know the biggest takeaway you had and
How you're going to implement it when you get back, right? The biggest thing presenters
Want to see is that you will take action. All right? You're committed to the action. All right?
Also take a selfie got to take a selfie with them, right? Got to take a selfie with the main presenter and then with those notes you could pull from
And when you do the post you can put under that post right with that picture the things you learned and we can do a call to action later with that as well
But go up there take the challenge meet them selfie let them know what you learned and what you're gonna do when you get back
All right we're going into more rooms and I kind of forgot to mention this this is all good. It's all good you're watching the whole video right
All right so each room that you go into put a number of
in your head, 10, 5, 6, 2, maybe it's your first time, 1. Whatever it is, 3, right? Whatever.
You want to put that number in your head as a goal of how many people you're going to make
contact with. And if you know me, a contact is three things. So you're going in there, let's say
your goal is 5. You in your head is going to meet 5 people and you're going to do what we call
a contact. So number 1, you're going to get their information. You got to. Get their information.
to add to the database later. Number two, you're gonna add notes on what this
person told you, what they do, why they're here, what they're looking to get
out of this event, whatever you guys talked about. You're gonna want to remember
those notes, write them down after the conversation, all right? And number three,
follow up. When are you gonna follow up with this person? You can follow up with them
the next morning like I usually do just to make sure the number works. But you could
just wait a week or whatever, but you guys say a follow up on when you're gonna
reach back out to this person, okay? Go in to each other.
room with that I'm telling you those people may not have opportunity for you right
now but they might give it two years three years we're in a long game with this
okay and the only way that they're gonna remember you is through the follow-up
it's all through the follow-up okay or maybe there's somewhere where you can help
them how will you really know this is why we have the follow-up so go in each
room put a number in your head what is that goal and go in to make a contact
per goal that you set per room
and that's what you do.
Not sure why I'm dancing,
but that's what I do.
All right, let's move on.
All right, the event's done.
Now what do you do, right?
What I want you to do is every one of those notes
that you've got,
and you're going to use some of the pictures
and some of the videos
and stuff that you've done
throughout the whole event.
But you will make a YouTube video.
Here's an example of one, right?
You can go back, you can watch that.
I just pulled from my notes,
and I'm going to ask you to do the same thing.
You're going to want to make a YouTube video
or simply just a video to add to your social media platforms.
People are going to search, hey, how was FinCon?
How was EXPCon?
They're going to search that stuff.
It's going to be pretty cool when your face shows up with the notes.
Because remember, you're going to give value.
You're going to give value in that video.
So make sure that day after, remember, this is why we have a day after the event, too.
You're going to break down those notes and you're going to make a video.
Yes, the video is for exposure, is to give value for anybody who does.
didn't come to give value for the people who did come but it's also for your team
you're gonna want to push this video to your team and bonus you're gonna want to
push this video to the organizers of the event find them on social media right
pass that video to them like hey what do you think right also the influencers
that you met also some of the people within your database that miss the
event this is going to be leveraged for you make sure you put
that video together, right? A lot of people are going to see you as the expert because of that.
So it's time to make a video, guys. Don't skip out on this one. I know, I know some of you will.
And here's the deal. You're going to miss out on opportunity. You're going to miss out on an
opportunity. I have one of the biggest speakers from the last one I went. I sent it to him
because I run this play. He reached back out and he was like, oh, that's so awesome. Love what
you did. Love the video. Love this, this and this about it. I might feel a little silly,
but what's an NFT, right?
So who's the one schooling him on NFTs?
Who's he going to remember when he hears the word NFT?
There's a lot of opportunity, guys.
If you don't run this play, that's on you,
but I'm giving you the play.
Make a video of your notes
so you can pass it to others.
There you go.
All right, and one of the last things
you're going to want to do is just
then blast it on social media.
I'm like, hey, who wants my notes?
And with that,
people are going to DM you,
They're going to comment and then you're going to treat it as a contact, okay?
Get their information, add notes on maybe what they wanted to know about your notes or whatever.
And then the next time you're going to follow up with them.
This is another way to get other people's information to later add to your database because who knows?
Y'all can be business partners in the future, but that's going to be a good play.
Who wants my notes?
Collect that information, put it in the database.
And now you have leverage, right?
Because the what are you going to get these people?
you're gonna give them the video you recorded, along with, like I do, a drop box link to the actual notes.
You're delivering value with this stuff, man. But this is one of the best ways I have learned to maximize my events.
Now, let's do a bonus. All right, here's a bonus, but is it really a bonus? I don't know. I just want to let you guys know throughout the event.
Take selfies, take pictures, do Facebook lives, Instagram lives. The reason you're gonna want to do this is because you're gonna use some of that. I don't know that. I just want to use some of that.
for your later video. You're going to use some of that to later tag others who have
influence and have a market and have followers. You're going to need that
information. You don't have to use them all, but make sure you just go buck
wild on doing that because you might need it and the worst thing you're going to
do is just sit there like, dang I wish I would have took a picture of something.
Dang, I wish I would have got a video or something. So the big bonus go bananas,
pictures, video, live video, not live video, just some type of video. All that's
going to be important for your later stuff but that's my big bonus but either
way I just wanted to drop the gems I want to drop the gyms for you and leverage
for you and leverage for me so I can invite my people but that's the biggest
thing I love I so if you look down the description below you can get a merch
like this actually made a video all about how you can really tap in their true
energy it's exactly how I do it and how we sustain all the businesses we have
and the appointments of that
I made a whole video on it, but here's the t-shirt.
Energy meets you at your commitment, all right?
Pretty cool stuff.
Either way, if you want to know more about one of the events I went to
and kind of get an example of all this, click that video.
If you just want to follow the story and some of our other crazy investments,
watch that video.
But I'm always here, guys.
Reach out.
If there's anything I can do for you, just let me know and please subscribe, like,
and share this video with anybody that you feel needs to hear.
including your team.
All right, guys, have an amazing day.
Adios.
