Elevate your life. Elevate your business. Welcome to the Elevated Results podcast.
Welcome to Elevated Results. First ever podcast. I'm Teneal Zellweger, your host. Welcome to our community.
This is a space where we co-elevate, we motivate, we inspire, and we push each other to unleash
our potential and elevate our results in our life and in our business. I started in the real
estate industry when I was 21 years old. I had no business background. I grew up with average
middle class parents. And by the time I was 25, I made my first million in the industry. But one of
my favorite quotes by Tony Robbins is success without fulfillment is the ultimate failure.
Even though I was hitting all my goals in my business, I felt completely unfulfilled and I knew
that there was more meant for my life. I remember waking up one morning and I was extremely hungover,
nursing from the night before, and I was feeling completely sorry for myself, laying in my bed,
just knowing that there was more meant for my life, that I was capable to do more than just
work and party and have no balance in my life. I knew that there was more, and I was scrolling
through Instagram and this ad popped up for a yoga teacher training in Mexico, and I had this
intuitive voice that just kept whispering to me, telling me to go. Even though at the time I barely
practice yoga. I maybe did it once or twice for the workout. I trusted this voice for the first time
in my life. And I booked a yoga teacher training in Mexico. Even though I didn't want to teach yoga,
I barely even knew what yoga was, but I just knew that I had to go and I trusted that voice.
And I remember showing up the day at Yondara, which was this awesome yoga teacher place, which ended
up changing my life. But when I got there, I was told no phone, no booze,
no red meat, no stimulants, and that way we were going to be sleeping in tents. I'm petrified of
mice and one of the guides was saying, okay, if you hear burrowing under your tent, just know that
that's a mouse. Well, holy fuck was I out of my comfort zone to say the least. But I was there
and I, for the first three days, I felt like I was detoxing. I kept wanting to check my phone like
it was an addiction. And for the first time after day three, I finally got to meet who I really
was because this whole time I'd been searching, well, what I learned was everything I needed
and who I was was already within me. And it took a couple days of me detoxing from technology
and all the stimulants of drugs and alcohol and coffee and my phone and having to be at the needs of
everyone else around me that I actually got to quiet the outside world and I got to meet who
the real Teneal was. And for the first time in my life, I actually really loved who I was. I felt
the universe wrap her arms around me and it was like she guided me back to my soul to the piece
that had been missing that I'd been searching for for such a long time. And I can't really explain
the feeling, but it was just a deep sense of relief. It was like when you walk in the door to your own
home. You just know that you're home. And so over the next 16 days, I completely immersed myself in
yoga. I learned so much about what yoga really was. And it's not just asana. It's not just the actual
workout, that it was a life-changing way. And I learned so much about it. And it was so interesting.
And that's where my whole journey of spirituality began. I spent the next several years,
instead of going out partying, I would go to yoga trainings or self-development. I immersed myself
in this world where continually I strive to be the best version of me to meet who I am as my
higher self. And it's a journey that continues and will always continue as I think life, we're
either growing, we're evolving, or we're retracting.
And so as my journey begins, I started out in this really yang real estate career where that's
all I did.
I had no balance to then I stepped into this completely different opposite world of the more
lunar yin side of me, which was yoga.
And I went from one extreme to the next.
But as I grew and I learned that in everything there's balance, in every human being,
there's masculine and feminine energy, but it's our responsibility to find and learn how to balance that.
So as I went through this experience of being from one extreme to the next, I wanted to learn.
How do I bridge the gap? How do I really create business through spiritual way? How do I bring
this into my everyday life? And so that's where I ended up getting a coach, a business coach.
I always listen to Tony Robbins. You'll hear me talk about him often because he is one of my mentors.
and he taught me so much.
I listened to him every single day.
It became a part of my ritual to turn on some kind of motivation to listen.
I got myself a Tony Robbins coach.
I then was trying to figure out how am I going to bridge this gap.
I was immersed in it and it completely changed my life and completely changed my business.
And now I get to share with the world what Tony and so many of my other mentors have shared with me.
I get to share with you guys.
And so that's where we created co-elevates.
because it's in a community where we can collaborate, where we're stronger together,
and we can actually elevate each other's lives.
So I hope in some way, as you listen throughout this, that you're elevating your life
and this is bringing value to in some way, because again, our energy is the most expensive
currency.
And so thank you for even turning this on or listening to this and sharing your energy
with me because I am very grateful for that.
And as we progress and into my journey, this is where I then became a Tony Robbins coach.
I was an independent contractor as a results coach for Tony Robbins for years,
and I was immersed in this community where I learned the power of co-elevation.
Because success leaves clues.
We don't have to reinvent the wheel.
So you've probably heard the saying before that if you're the smartest person in the room,
you're in the wrong room.
That's the power of co-e elevation.
surround yourself with people and experiences that are going to elevate you.
That's in your life and in your business.
If you want to be successful at something, that's where you want to surround yourself with people
that already have what you want or have already done what you want because we don't have
to recreate the recipe.
Just like if you're going to start cooking one of your favorite meals or a family recipe,
you might know it off by heart, but somebody's already created it and all you've got
to do is take the ingredients and take action and put it together.
So over the years of my self-development journey that again is continuing to unfold, that is where
I've learned the power of a success formula. This is what has completely changed my life and changed
my business. Now, the first thing we always need to do is become clear on what it is that we're
wanting to attract. What is it that we're wanting to accomplish? Because without clarity, we don't
know where we're going. Much like if you're going to go on a road trip, the first thing we probably do
is we know, okay, where am I located currently?
And where do I want to go?
Then you're going to put it in your GPS
and it's going to show you step by step
where you have to go.
And then all you've got to do is take action.
You have to start driving.
But the piece that's often missing in a success formula
is the certainty, the confidence within ourselves.
And so many people, and I mean, I've done this myself before too,
is we try to strategize and figure out how we're going to do it
before we actually have the confidence that we're going to do it.
to do it. It's a missing piece. So the most important piece is clarity, know what you want,
where you're going, and then second, to have the confidence and the certainty within yourself
that you're going to get there. And let's face it, we're in a world where things are changing all
the time. There's a lot of uncertainty in the world, especially right now, but we can't change that.
We cannot change the external forces around us. All we can change is ourselves and how we act.
And that's where there's is a calling for us to connect to our true essence of our soul right now
and ignite that within yourself to step forward and continue to be the best version of you.
We are not perfect.
No person is perfect.
But it's a decision to show up not only for yourself, but for others around you to try to be the best version of you.
And when you step into that alignment, the universe works with you.
So just like that success formula, when I started on,
real estate industry. My first year, I had set a goal that I wanted to make over 300 grand my first
year. And I was always known as a dreamer. And I remember my family saying, okay, that's great,
honey, but maybe you should set a realistic goal. And I thought, fuck, no, that's what I want. And I'm
going to do it. I had no idea how I was going to do it. I had my real estate license.
Didn't have a clue. When you go through school, especially real estate license, you learn all the
legalities of it, but they don't teach you how to operate a business. They don't teach you how to get
clients. So what I did is I found a mentor and she was the best mentor ever and I'm still grateful for
her each and every single day because she taught me more than just how to run my real estate business.
She taught me the power of focus and setting goals. But I seen how successful she was. So I thought,
okay, what is she doing and how can I implement what she is doing? That was my strategy. So first,
I was clear on my goal. I want to make over 300K. Then I had the certainty. I just,
just had the confidence within myself and I wasn't born that way I created that confidence.
I was like, what do I have to do that? Then this strategy followed. Then the universe put
everything into alignment for me. It put me in a situation where I met my mentor who then taught me
the strategy, taught me everything I needed to know if I executed and took action, which I did.
So when I first started, I was the first one in the office and the last one to leave. I surrounded
myself with people who had the results that I wanted. I would take every single day that I could,
every on call day. I would put myself in the situation to do the work. And I went six months without
making a single dime. I was living in my mother's basement again. If anyone knows me, they know that
I really hate cleaning. It's really not my thing. But I was janitoring because it gave me the
flexibility to still run my real estate business, but make enough money to actually pay for my car payment
and pay for my office bill that I had at my brokerage.
And I did that just to get through.
And it was six months, I didn't make any money from real estate.
But I just knew it was that voice saying, just keep going, just keep going.
And I did.
And a few months later, I remember getting a call for my mentor, my broker, and she said,
you are the princess of real estate.
And I was like, yeah, okay, sure.
She was very positive.
And, I mean, she always did motivate me.
But she's like, do you know how many deals you have this?
this month, I had 12 possessions, I think it was. I made more money than my parents' yearly salary
in one month. I had no idea what I was doing, but it's because I waited that long without a
paycheck. And it felt like, okay, I think I've kind of got this figured out. And then that's when
momentum started to happen for me. I started to create that momentum in my life and in my business.
Now, when I review this and I look back, I didn't know I had a success formula at the time.
I was just clear on what I wanted to do and I was confident and certain that I was going to do it.
And then the strategy ended up coming when I took the actions.
But I didn't know about the success formula then like I do now.
And that's where Tony Robbins and other mentors and successful people before me have taught us the power of a success formula.
Now, success at anything is 80% our mindset, 20% the strategy.
So this is where if you have a goal or something that you're working on right now,
you got to ask yourself, are you clear on what you want?
Now, yeah, you might think, I want to make a lot of money.
Tony always said, great, here's a dollar, right?
But what do you really want?
First, we have to get clear on what you really want.
And then that's confidence, the certainty, cultivating it within yourself,
because nobody else is going to do that for you.
But the chances are that you're listening to something like this in the self-development
world or you're doing something to better yourself, to put yourself in alignment,
you're on the right track and you should be really proud of yourself for doing that.
Because it's exciting when you start to unfold and you start to actually meet the real
version of you and see what you're capable of.
Now, I'm really excited to show you how I bridge the gap of business and spirituality
and how I brought that into alignment.
So as my career progressed and I began coaching
and helping clients close the gap from where they were
to where they really wanted to be,
it was always a reflection of things that I needed to work on too.
It's always about growth.
And that is the power about putting yourself in circumstances
or surrounding yourself with people that are going to push you there.
I've learned so many things from different mentors
and successful people before me.
and I always like to say that I'm a portal for the universe to flow through for the highest good.
So as I'm doing this podcast, I'm just being open to what's coming up and what I feel like
you guys want to hear and that could benefit you in some way.
But as we progress, I do have a vision for this podcast.
And I know that I'm living my purpose now by being that portal for the universe to flow through
for the highest good and really being the guide that shows you how to bridge the gap between
business and spirituality.
And that's such a thing where when I first started in the business industry, it was I had to really be that masculine energy to be taken seriously. I was 21, a blonde young girl. People thought I didn't know anything. So I had to really step into my masculine energy when I would show up at a business meeting. When I would show up to go meet somebody about a commercial building and they were a huge oil-filled company and I was dealing with men, I had to step into that
masculine energy and I had to own it. And then when I'd go home or go to my yoga, I had to learn how
to step into my feminine energy. And it's really about bringing it into balance. And there's so many
different practices that will go through that come from the spiritual ancient backgrounds that will help
you to close that gap. But ultimately, it all starts with you. Everything you need is already within you.
you just need to decide and commit to start utilizing the rituals that are going to get you there.
Now, this is the power of starting with a morning ritual.
So when I wake up in the morning, I'm not the version that I want to be, if I'm being honest.
I wake up grumpy.
I like to press snooze sometimes.
I mean, I'm a human being.
We're all human.
And if anybody claims to be perfect, I think that they're lying.
And they're only lying to themselves.
But I learned the power of finding a ritual that's going to put me in this state to be the best version of me
that's going to show up, that's going to be the version that needs to show up to accomplish all my goals
and turn my dreams into my reality.
But it starts with every morning.
Now, when we look at the self-development in the spiritual world, I believe in manifestation,
I believe in the power of the universe, but we still have to put in the action.
and it all starts with the consistent steps we choose to do every single day,
which all starts with your morning routine and your morning ritual.
And you probably heard this so many times,
and I know I heard it so many times,
and it would just go right over my head before I started implementing it.
If we don't take and set the pace of our day, our day is going to own us.
So you need to look at what you're doing when you first wake up.
What are you doing to put yourself in a good state,
the version of you that's needed to go conquer these goals?
that you've set for yourself.
Because I know that without my morning rituals,
I'd be walking around like a grumpy fucking zombie
and I wouldn't be the best version of me.
But I've learned how to bring out that version of me
that I want to be, the version of me that is at my higher self.
And that higher self is always raising in vibrations
because I'm always growing.
And I'm always going to continue to try to be that best version of me.
So first, I'm inviting you to look at what your morning
rituals are. What do you do when you first wake up in the morning? What kind of routines?
And then look at the goals you've set for yourself. Everybody always talks about New Year's resolutions,
and that's great. But if many people fall off, I think it's like 90% of people fall off their New Year's
resolutions within the first month of setting them. Well, that's fine because you still have 11 months
of the year. Don't give up just because you started off not the way you wanted to go. And I learned that
through years of all or nothing mentality. I used to be a person that if I was going to eat a
cookie, I'm going to eat the whole freaking box, right? If I'm going to eat bad at all, I'm going to
do it, all or nothing. If I'm having a drink, I'm going to have 30, all or nothing. But it learns,
you have to learn how to do that balance, right? And that's something I'm continually striving is
to learn balance and to be better at it. But when it comes to setting goals, it's only the first
week of February. So if you've fallen off, that's okay.
It's all about, it doesn't matter how many times you get knocked down.
It's about how many times you get back up.
And you probably heard that quote saying many, many times.
So what are the goals you set for yourself?
And if you haven't said any yet this year, that's fine.
Today is the new day.
So what are the goals that you want to accomplish this year?
What do you want to turn into your reality?
And then you're going to look at what your goals are that you've set for yourself this
year.
And then you're going to break that down and think, okay, who do I need to be?
what version of me do I need to be to accomplish those goals and then when you look at the version
of you that you need to step into what rituals do you think that version of you would do what routines
with that version of you do and then get clear on what you need to do and what you need to change
change doesn't happen overnight it's a decision to make the change and then it's the consistent action
steps that you commit to. I remember when I first started in my health journey and I wasn't healthy
and I really wanted to get in good shape, I knew that I needed to start going to the gym because before that
all I did was play sports, which is great, but when they say the freshy 20, it's a true thing. When I graduated
high school, before that, I'd always played competitive hockey and soccer and many other sports. I was
very active, but right when schools quit or not quit when I graduated high school, I, I, I,
then my routine was changed. I didn't play sports anymore. I didn't work out and I gained like 20 pounds like
they say the freshy 20 right. We went to Australia backpacking. We were the worst backpackers ever. We were
drinking milkshakes every day and drinking like a pack of beer. Well of course again I gained weight
but then it's learning okay what do I need to do to change this. Well first I knew I needed to go to the gym
but it was really hard to get up in the morning and do that but I noticed if I set my gym clothes
beside my bed and put my shoes there, if I committed to going first thing when I woke up,
if I stepped out of bed and I seen my gym shoes, there was a way higher chance that I was going
to go out for a run or that I was going to go to the gym. That's how I first started getting into
the consistency of my schedule and my routine of working out in the morning. And that was years ago.
And then as it progressed, well, then I had to change things that matched what I wanted to
accomplish. So that's what I want you to do that in every single one of these calls, I like to have a call
to action, and that's what it is, is figure out what you want to accomplish this year and what needs
to change in your rituals or your routines so that you can accomplish it. And this is the power of
accountability. Showing up, this will be every single week. I'm going to have a podcast like this,
