Starting point is 00:00:00 You may be doing these two things wrong on YouTube as a real estate agent. So I am here to help you fix some things. This is something that I sent out to my email list. By the time you're listening to this, maybe like three weeks ago. Number one. And as you know, clients come aflocking after a couple of videos, especially if it is done right with the right call to action, which is what we talk about in this podcast. So in this podcast, this is for you if you already post on YouTube. If not, keep swiping and move on to the next one.
Starting point is 00:00:32 One mistake that I had been doing that I'm sharing with you guys is when I was uploading videos, I would not hit the publish to newsfeed or like notify subscribers button. There's a checkbox in studio. com. And as you upload the video, that's where you put your tag, the title, the thumbnails, the description, the, all of that. you check yes if there's some AI content in there or check no and right underneath that there's published to everyone and notify subscribers and I'd always click to no thinking that I didn't want to notify my subscribers because I wanted to generate new audience I want that video
Starting point is 00:01:16 to only be in front of new people see how it fares but YouTube significantly rewards returning viewers much more than I originally thought. I have been doing like this research for nonstop. I've gotten like very, very little sleep over the last three days. And returning viewers is so freaking important and I did not know that. I purposely was not checking that box. So as you are uploading videos, check the box to notify your subscribers. Your subscribers have subscribed to you already, they want your content. And when YouTube sees, or when those viewers, subscribers see that you post it something and they click on it, that is considered a returning viewer. So, which, which gives you more points, like more value as opposed to a new person finding that video.
Starting point is 00:02:10 So that was a big mistake on my end. Any questions on that? Shelby? I kind of just jump right into it. There's like no intro. Hi, Shelby. Hi, I thought it was good. Hi, I'm here too. But what I did is, as you were saying that, I pulled up my YouTube channel and went to the one that's going to be published today to make sure that my editor had done it. And she did. So I did the first step. Allie. What's my second step? Amazing.
Starting point is 00:02:35 Amazing. Actually, I'm going to give you a third. I'm going to give you a 1.5 on this one. What is? A couple of episodes. When I was reviewing your YouTube channel, I said to change your file name to something more like, SEO friendly. That's a rumor. It's a myth. Doesn't mean anything. File names don't matter. Gotcha. That's 1.5. Number two is your YouTube profile. As you're looking at your own profile,
Starting point is 00:03:06 you should have a link in there that draws people to your call to action, whether it's your call call, whether it's your lead magnet or your website, whatever you have people go to, if you do not have the H-T-TPS in the beginning of that URL, people could still click on it, but it doesn't show the logo. And instead it will show just like that gray world symbol, which is very, very boring and kind of just like looked past. I didn't realize that little things like that make a big difference. When you're looking at somebody's profile, you see like, bam, the orange, you know, icons. which leads them to the website or the blue Calanly link.
Starting point is 00:03:54 It just stands out. So in the profile, whether you have one link or more, make sure that you add the beginning part of the URL, the HTTP. That will make sure that the logo comes in instead of it being just the generic gray world symbol. It'll just draw a little bit more attention, and that's where you want the attention because that's your call to action. You are taking them off of YouTube, getting penalized for doing that,
Starting point is 00:04:24 but it's going to get you a buyer or a seller or at least an email if you have a lead magnet there. Those are my two and a half tips of the day.
