Starting point is 00:00:04 Elevate your life. Elevate your business. Welcome to the Elevated Results podcast. Welcome to the Elevated Results Podcast. As always, thank you for co-elevating with me and taking the time and energy out of your day to share with me. I'm very grateful for that. And together, when we really elevate each other, we can start to make a difference
Starting point is 00:00:30 in the world around us because it all starts with us. It all starts with you. It all starts with me. It all starts with a decision that we make. every single morning of which wolf we want to focus on. Do we want to focus on the wolf of light? The wolf that's going to lead us to unlocking our dormant potential that lies within us. Or do we want to focus on the ego-driven wolf, the wolf of darkness that's going to focus on everything that's going to go wrong today, everything that could go wrong in our businesses?
Starting point is 00:00:58 That is our decision. Every single morning. So today, what are you going to decide? Which wolf are you going to feed the wolf of light or the wolf of darkness. It's a battle that you have every single day because we're human. We are created to survive. We're created. Our minds are created to air on the side of negative because our brains were created to keep us alive. When we look back in time, they were our survival kit. They were what kept us alive years and years ago. So we have to rewire our brains. And it all starts with that decision. Which wolf are you going to feed? And I like to think of it as two wolves. The wolf of light is your higher self. The wolf of darkness is that ego. The ego-driven wolf that's out for power that's hungry to lead just to fill its ego, just to feel powerful.
Starting point is 00:01:45 And we all have the light within us and we all have the darkness within us. It's something that's within every aspect of our life, but it's what we decide to do with it every day. And I think that leaders should lead by example. So some of the role models who have inspired me the most, who have really inspired and motivated me to step into my higher self and to start stepping into this next version of me, which is with podcasts and really elevating this aspect of the business, they inspire me for the reason that they lead with their heart, but that they lead by example. They don't tell people what to do without having the results. They have the results. And they are still humble about it because each day they decide
Starting point is 00:02:28 to feed the light wolf, the wolf of lightness, their higher self. They choose to grow every single day. They choose to be a student and a teacher. And they really lead with a heart. And someone said something to me the other day about my podcast and said, why don't you take your own advice with that? And I actually thought about it for a while. And at first, my ego popped up and thought, excuse me, I do implement this, which I do, but I'm still a human. And sometimes I am a human and I get in my human being and I'm not always on. Anybody that says they are is lying. You can't always be on, but it's a decision of what you decide to do with it. And so what I decided to do with that comment, which was probably made out of trying to help me in some way, but what I decided to do is look at it.
Starting point is 00:03:13 And I did realize there's a few areas of my life that I'm not elevating to my full potential. But that's where we have a decision to make. We can look at that and think, do I want to stay where I am? or do I want to elevate in every aspect of my life? Do I want to use that comment as pain or do I want to use it as a power? And I decided that I'm going to use it as fuel. I decided that it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. It matters what I think. But the truth is, I know in those areas, I could be elevating. But we also have to give ourselves grace. We also have to be happy with where we're at. Because in the journey of life and in business, we have to be grateful for where we're at while we're getting to the next destination. Otherwise, you're never going to enjoy where you are. So you have to give
Starting point is 00:03:56 yourself grace. You have to love yourself along the way. You can't beat yourself up. You may not be exactly where you want to be when it comes to a certain area of your life, like your health or with your business goals. You might not be exactly where you want to be. But you have to have radical acceptance that you're okay with where you are in the moment. You're grateful for it as you use it as fuel to move towards your goal, to progress towards turning whatever that is that you're, you're you want into your reality. And so for myself, it comes down to my health. I had a baby 10 months ago. Again, I've talked about this. I'm not in the best physical shape of my life, but it's something I work on every single day. But what used to work for me isn't working anymore because I've changed.
Starting point is 00:04:38 Things have changed, right? But I have to radically accept and love myself for where I am at in this journey to get to where I want to be and really enjoy the journey along the way and start looking at what things do I need to do differently because what I used to do isn't working. So what changes do I need to make to get to the result? And this is where ultimately when we look at it in regards to our business, we need to look at where we are. And so often it's easy to just ignore it. I know that's one of my coping mechanisms is I just avoid it.
Starting point is 00:05:10 If something's happening, I think, okay, I don't have to deal with that. We do have to deal with it, but we have to look at it through the lens of our higher selves or look at it through the lens of how can I make this better? How can I fix it? What do I need to do to pivot? What do I need to do to change? change. And I was listening to a podcast again yesterday of my mentor, Tony, and I talk about him often because he inspires me because he still does the work. He leads by example. He's such a successful
Starting point is 00:05:34 man, but he leads with his heart and he leads by example. So I was listening to this podcast. And what he said was he remembers when he hit a low point in his life. He had found success. And then when he was in his late 20s, early 30s, he got comfortable. He thought he made it. He, took his foot off the gas and he relaxed and he got comfortable and he got stagnant. And what ended up happening because in life, in business, you're either growing, you're moving forward or you're attracting and you're stagnant. And when he got stagnant, everything that he worked for started to fall apart because he wasn't taking care of himself. He said he had a beer belly, which if you know Tony Robbins, that's not like him at all. He was in the worst shape of his life. He started losing
Starting point is 00:06:18 money. His businesses weren't doing as well. And he was sitting in his apartment. in his tiny little apartment looking around and he thought this is a low spot for me. I can't pay my bills. Things are falling apart. Look at me. This is a low spot. And if we're in that low spot, it's okay because again, we can't fix things until we can see the light where there's a breakdown.
Starting point is 00:06:41 There's an opportunity for a breakthrough. And in that moment, Tony looked at it and thought, what are all the things in my life I don't like right now? What are the things in my business that aren't working right now? and what do I need to do to fix it? What do I want? And so often we think about what we don't want first, which is great, but when you start thinking about what you don't want, you actually start attracting it. So when you can figure out what you want, you get clear on what you want, and then you figure out what you don't want. And then you can write out a list of that. So when it comes to your business, it comes to your personal life,
Starting point is 00:07:14 it comes to whichever area that you're trying to make it change it. When we make a change, ultimately what a change is is when you hit a threshold where you can't stay in that same spot anymore because it's too uncomfortable. The pain outweighs the pleasure of staying there. So when it comes to your health goal or it comes to your business goal or whatever goal it is that you're looking to achieve, any change that you're trying to make, what are those pain points? What's not working anymore? And we got to get clear on it. So when we look at our business, like I have talked about this a little bit, is what used to work in my business 10, 13 years ago because I've been in the real estate industry for 13 years has pivoted. It's changed because the world is changing. What consumers want is changing. Everything around us is
Starting point is 00:08:01 changing. And the universe is changing. We look at the shifting time from the age of Aquarian now. Like energy is changing. Everything around us is changing. So we sometimes need to look at what's working well and what isn't working. What do we need to change? Because we have to let go of things to allow space to let in the things that we actually want in our lives. So that comes to relationships, that comes to people we surround ourselves with, that comes to maybe certain jobs you're in, that comes to perspectives. Because when it comes to making a change, you either have to look at it and you have to think, can I change it? Do I want to change it? Or do I need to change my perspective to it? Sometimes maybe it's a relationship, maybe it's something in your career, in your business,
Starting point is 00:08:48 even in your personal life where you're not happy with it and your energy is drained when you focus on it and it becomes a negative pain point. When you look at it, do you need to physically change it or do you need to change your perspective to it? Sometimes you need to do both. Sometimes you need to change your perspective to it and you need to look at what it is while you're progressing towards making that change. Like I said about my physical goals. I look at that and I needed to change my perspective to it because I needed to look at the beauty in the life that I gave, that I sacrificed my body in some way to create my daughter, and that for me, I thought I was going to bounce back in 90 days. I told myself in 90 days after having a baby, I'd be back to my body. And I really look at my body as a temple.
Starting point is 00:09:34 I always took care of myself. I still do. But I looked at that, and I thought in 90 days I'd be back. I think after day three, after having my daughter, I was back at a hot yoga class. pushed myself. But it was almost, I'm grateful for this experience because I get to look and see what other people have went through. I get to see that sometimes it is a challenge, but along the way, you have to love yourself, you have to accept where you are and then make the change. So I had to shift my perspective to that. I had to shift my perspective into how I'm grateful for that and how it was an opportunity. And again, a setback is an opportunity for a setup for success. So now when I get back to where I was, I'm going to be even more grateful for how I feel and how I can fit in my clothes.
Starting point is 00:10:19 I'm going to be more grateful for that because I got to experience going through a few challenges and obstacles along the way. I had to work for it. And that's an opportunity to show myself what I made up again. So in life, we have that. We can look at it as it's a setback or we can look at how there's an opportunity in it. So I need to shift my perspective in that while I start working towards it because let's be honest, I know that I want to get back to where I was. I know I have a goal and I know I'm going to achieve it. I just have to work for it in the interim. I have to take the steps of action and make the change. So in your business, or again, if you're focusing on a different goal in your life, you need to look at that too. How can you change your perspective to it right now?
Starting point is 00:11:03 What needs to shift in the way you're looking at it? What is the gift in it? And then what do you need to do change it. What needs to happen? What actions do you need to take? What do you need to pivot? Which strategy is no longer working and what will start working? So again, they say that when you're taking action towards a goal, a lot of people will give up when it gets hard, where if you can keep going and you can keep being relentless, before you know what, you're going to knock that door right over. So I think about door knocking in real estate. Door knocking in real estate is not comfortable for everyone. And maybe this isn't the action or the strategy that you are taking in your business. And that's totally cool because you've got to do what works for you. But at the end of the day,
Starting point is 00:11:44 it's why are you not doing it? Is it because it's uncomfortable or because it's not an alignment with you. Because if you're doing it because you're afraid, you know that you'll get the result, but you're just afraid. You need to do it anyway. You need to step out and you need to take the action. Because when you start taking the action, you're going to be more comfortable in the discomfort. You're going to realize that, wow, I can do that. I can do hard things. The more you do it, it, the easier it's going to be. And when I think of that analogy, I think about if you focus on the goal that you're looking to achieve, you think about what you want to accomplish in your business this year. What's on the other side of that door that you're knocking on? If you keep knocking on that
Starting point is 00:12:22 door and you're relentless, eventually it's going to knock down and you're going to get to that result. So many people quit before. You've got to be relentless. You've got to keep going. You've got to be consistent. And you will get the result. You just got to stay committed to it. And then, that's where when you look at what you're looking to accomplish this year, I want you to do this. Grab a pen and paper. If you're driving, please do this after. But if you're not, grab a pen and paper or use your phone and write out a list. Look at your business, look at your life, look at the areas and the goals that you're looking to achieve, and start to focus on what's working really well. Write out a list of everything that's going awesome that you think is working well, that's being
Starting point is 00:13:03 effective and efficient and it's getting you the results. And then on the other side of that list, write out what's not working. What are the pain points in your business? What are the pain points in your life? What are the things that are really uncomfortable that you don't want to bring with you anywhere, that you want to let go of that aren't serving you? Write down that list of what it is. Get clear on everything you don't want to bring forward into the future. And then once you've got clear on that, write out what your goals are. Be clear on what your vision is, what you want to bring forward with you into the next bit of this year, into your future. What do you want to bring forward and what do you want to let go of? And once you're clear on what you need to let go of,
Starting point is 00:13:47 you have to energetically look at it and think, what do I need to do to change it? What are those pain points? What do I need to do to change it? Do I need to shift my perspective to it or do I physically need to change it? And then write out the actions that you need to take to change it. And then write out the actions that you need to take to change it. And then start focusing on what you want to bring into your business. Start focusing on that list of the goals that you want to accomplish, what you want to bring forward with you throughout this upcoming year and into the future. So this could be your ideal vision. I know we talked about this of a thriving business. What that looks like. Get clear on it. What do you want to bring forward? The clarity piece is powerful because when you're
Starting point is 00:14:24 clear, you don't have to waste your energy on mind chatter, negotiating back. and forth. If you're clear on what you want, you would just look at it, you know it, you start to get certain with it. And again, there's all those different tools and strategies that you can use to be certain and to start to cultivate certainty within yourself, the confidence that you know you're going to do it. And then you've got the clarity piece. You've got the certainty and the confidence. Then all you have to do is start taking action. All you have to do is start taking the pain points and leveraging them to make the change. So that's where you're going to do. You're going to do. You're again, you can use your pain as power. There's many different strategies on how you do this.
Starting point is 00:15:04 David Goggins, the man's wildly crazy, but he inspires me also because the things that he's done physically, he's crazy. If you don't know who he is, go check him out, but he's crazy. But his mentality is a Navy SEAL mentality. His mentality is a little bit different than how I look at things. But his mentality is when he wants to make that change, and he talks about when he was overweight and he wanted to be a Navy SEAL and he couldn't be a Navy SEAL because he was overweight. He looked at himself and thought, I'm disgusting the way I am. I need to make this change. And he made that change based on being uncomfortable. He used that pain to make the change. So you need to look at that pain point in your business or in your personal life and you need to look at
Starting point is 00:15:49 it and think, why is this so uncomfortable to me? Why do I need to make this change? Why is it so painful? and start to leverage that pain point to make the change. So in business, when I look at some of the things that aren't working, some of the pain points in my business, you know what? If I don't make that change, my business isn't going to be generating the revenue that it needs to, to hit my goals,
Starting point is 00:16:12 to be able to pay everybody all of the independent contractors and employees. So we have to make that change because that's the power part. I get to leverage that of knowing that I need to make those changes in the business so that everybody else can thrive. And you can use that is what's going to power you and propel you forward to making the change. They say that when you're attaining a goal, there's two ways to get there. It's either desperation or inspiration that's going to drive you. So you have to look at it and start leveraging that.
Starting point is 00:16:43 Instead of just staying in a stagnant energy of being uncomfortable but not making the change, you need to start leveraging that in your personal life and in your business. Because when you start doing that, you're going to get the result. you're going to get to the other side of that door if you stay relentless. So you don't give up, honor where you are right now, be grateful for it. Celebrate where you are and you have to celebrate of how far you've come. You have to feel that gratitude because when you feel grateful, you will eliminate fear. You will eliminate the worry piece because you can look at things in the perspective of gratitude. So how are you expressing gratitude in your daily life? How are you grateful for your
Starting point is 00:17:23 business. How are you grateful for where you are exactly in this moment? And look at how far you've come. Look at the challenges that you've already overcame in your personal life and in your business. And look at those and think if you can do that, what are you truly capable of? Think about what you can actually accomplish. You can do anything. And I know I say that all the time. And it's one of my favorite quotes is, I can do anything that I set my mind to. You can do anything that you set your mind to. you just have to commit to it. You just have to make the changes. And again, change is when a threshold is too painful to stay where you are. So shift your perspective to it or go physically make the change. What do you need to do to make the change? Get clear on it. You have a strategy on how you're going to do it now.
Starting point is 00:18:14 You just need to implement it. And know that I'm here with you along the way that you're not in this alone. That is the power of co-e elevation that we're doing it together. that we all need to make changes in some areas of our life. Because again, we're either growing or we're stagnant and we're retracting. So what can you do to make things better? What can you do to grow and turn your vision into your reality? What shifts do you need to make? And maybe you look at your vision and you think, I've already accomplished this. Well, great. That means you're awesome at doing it, but what's the next thing that you want to do? And it doesn't always have to be materialistic. It can be how do you want to help in the world around you? It can be anything. What do you want to do to make your vision even bigger? Because you need to keep growing with your vision. And vision boards are a great way to do it. I love when I look at my vision board and it used to be a part of my ritual to look at it every single morning in my meditation space. And sometimes I look at it and think, wow, I've actually accomplished all this. This is super cool. Like I had an animal rescue on there. I had a yoga retreat. I had all these things.
Starting point is 00:19:18 on there. And sometimes you get stuck in the monotony of everyday life that you don't actually look back and realize what you've accomplished. You don't actually look back and think, wow, once that was a dream and I made it happen. So if you can do that, you can do it again on a bigger scale. And so that's where the power of my vision board, I obviously am adding to it all the time because as I accomplish things, I want to continue. I want to grow. I want to really turn my ultimate vision into my reality. So are you doing that? What's your vision? and how do you want to bring it into fruition? How do you want to bring your gifts into your life and into your business
Starting point is 00:19:53 and know that you are capable of doing anything that you set your mind to? But that is the ultimate challenge of the day is what changes do you need to make in your personal life and in your business? And how are you going to make them? Shift your perspective to it and go make the changes. Go take the actions. Go do the uncomfortable actions because before you know it, they're going to start feeling comfortable. You're going to grow. You're going to start to see the
Starting point is 00:20:21 results. And again, know that your support system, that we're all in this together, that we're all doing it together because we're co-elevating.
