KGCI: Real Estate on Air - Hone Your Superpower: Identifying Your Unique Edge
Episode Date: March 24, 2026Summary:This episode is a philosophical and highly motivational discussion that encourages real estate agents to identify, hone, and leverage their unique "superpower" or competitive edge. Th...e conversation emphasizes that trying to be a generalist leads to mediocrity, while specializing and focusing on one core strength (e.g., exceptional client experience, data analysis, video marketing, negotiation) is the key to achieving market dominance. It provides a mindset framework for self-reflection and intentional development, urging listeners to move beyond simple competence to mastery in their chosen area.

It's more to be.
Like, who, who are you?
Who, who are you really?
Okay.
And when you step 100% fully into your full identity of who you are,
everything in life becomes easier.
It becomes either, it becomes easier or unnecessary.
Okay.
Why?
Because now you're in the energetic field where you start to attract everything that's for you.
Welcome to the Success with Listings podcast, where we help you get success.
in the real estate game, the easy way.
Now you can get off the roller coaster of Feast and Famine
and out of the rat race of competing with every other agent in town.
Hi, I'm Nollie Williams.
I took over a thousand listings during my first 10 years from the real estate game
and in this podcast, I show you how to have success with listings.
Let's go.
How do you hone your superpower?
Okay.
We're going to get in this for just a few minutes and then I'm going to open it up for questions
and Q&A and so on like.
that. But I want you to think about this for a moment. It's something that I teach on quite often,
but it's very, very important for you to think about this very closely. What is your superpower?
You know, in my book, three hours a day, most of you have it. In this book, I talk about in page 29,
step one is to hone your superpower. I truly believe, and as I've gotten back,
into the uh these united states of america this last couple months that we've been in this house
we've been here two months already um i'm starting to see that you know my super i have a certain
superpower you have a certain superpower we all have a superpower um in fact we have more than one
but all all of it can kind of be deduced down to you know who are you what what has god
fashioned you for and so we're going to spend a little bit of time on that
right now. And I'm going to give you a couple of things to think to ponder on. But I want you to
really make this week all about, um, taking a deeper, deeper dive into who you are and how you
show up. Okay. Because if you really tap into your superpower, it makes living this life so much
easier. You know, um, Paul, we've seen, you know, you and I have seen a, we, we deal, by the way,
Paul's been with me for years and years and years and years.
since he was in his mid-20s.
And we have helped thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of real estate agents and entrepreneurs and business leaders.
We've helped them to succeed at a very, very, very high level.
And we've seen a lot of people struggle.
A lot of people we've seen struggling.
And I really believe that the struggle is unnecessary.
I don't really believe.
I think it's an option.
it's a choice.
I don't choose to live that way.
I choose to make it fun and easy.
And I believe that we are the authors of our own life,
that we can create,
that this canvas is something that we can.
I believe that we, yes, we are creators.
God created us as creators as well.
And so I believe at the very least,
I want you to imagine that life could be easier than it is,
okay, easier than it is.
And I believe it all starts with understanding what your superpower is.
Now, I learned it very early on.
I was, my dad used to sell at the flea market.
He was a hustler.
I just put it that way.
He had a bachelor's degree that he never used.
And he was always like, boy, get your, get your degree, get your degree, boy.
And, you know, if I would have done that, I would have never used mine either.
I'm just being honest. You know, I'm a marketer. I'm an entrepreneur. I know who I am. So I kind of bypassed
process. But he would make handcrafted jewelry and he sold other things. And he would sell at
flea markets and fairs in different places. And he always walked around with a big wad of cash.
And I was like, I want to be like that. I want to have money. Okay. And anyway, it was quite
interesting and I started little by little I would help him at these flea markets that he would
set up a table and then he would pay me to help him uh sell his the jewelry and he had his way of
doing it and I had my way of doing that I learned that my way it's not the right way and the wrong
way it's just different okay we all have our own superpower and uh little by little um I started to
understand that people warmed up to me, people, people were, I want to say attracted,
maybe that's not the right word, but they trusted me. I think that's the better way to say it.
People liked and trusted me. I was able to get people to like and trust me very quickly.
And so, you know, there's some people that would use that sort of that skill in a negative way,
you know, to take advantage of people, sadly. I have a family member.
remember that that's the path that he chose. However, the way God has aligned it for me is I see it
as a superpower. I'm able to go in. People put their defenses down. I'm not a high D at all.
In fact, I have no D. So I come in and I'm very, at an energetic level, I'm very easy.
and people, people, you know, feel sort of relaxed around me, okay?
And I work with that.
And it helps me.
And it is a superpower.
Now, there's other superpowers that I have, like, being organized, I guess could be a superpower.
Could be a deterrent also.
We've, right, Paul, we work with a lot of agents that their superpower is being so structured
that they don't get anything done, you know?
and I constantly remind my students that, you know, perfection is the enemy of progress.
I think that's Winston Churchill.
Perfection is the enemy of progress.
Yes, you don't want to go out half cocked, but you don't have to be such a perfectionist either.
But, you know, I am a systems person.
I think that's a big superpower.
But all of these kind of play into sort of my likeability.
So what I want you to think about is what is your superpower?
When I first started thinking about this, back in the day, I used to watch a lot of cartoons.
Anybody I used to watch cartoons?
I used to love cartoons.
Nobody, nobody with me on the cartoons.
Okay, all right, all right.
Maybe I was the only one watching cartoons, you know, back in the day.
But there used to be the Justice League.
And I'm telling you, man, every single one of those superheroes, I got to say it this way.
They were pretty badasses by themselves.
But when they combined forces, when you had the Wander Twins,
and then you had Superman, you had Batman,
you had some of these other superheroes come together, forget about it.
The bad guys had, they were done.
But what I noticed was that every single superhero,
they had their own superpower and they had their own weaknesses as well, right?
Like, let's take the Incredible Hulk as an example.
All right. What's his superpower?
Right? His muscles. It's not his brains. Okay.
It's the guy, he knows how to smash things. All right.
So if I need something smashed, I'm going to call it Incredible Hulk.
That's my guy. Okay.
But then if I need something, if I'm on a stealthy mission where we've got to go in and retrieve a package and we've got to be real quiet about it, I'm not going to invite the Incredible Hulk.
okay he's not invited to this to this mission all right because he doesn't know how to do that he only
knows how to smash things and so what i see in my career of coaching i see a lot of individuals
that try to be what they're not they try to uh because they read in a book that you got to make cold
calls so they start doing that but that that's that's that's like dude you're not a co-caller
you know you you can get a little bit better at it but you still going to
suck because that's not you all right and uh you know so if i if i want a stealthy mission that i'm
going to call like ant man or adam man whatever you know the guy that can make himself real tiny
i'm going to call that guy and say hey man i need you help on this all right the trick of this whole
thing and making life easier is really uh finding out exactly what your superpower is what is it
specifically that god has ordained you uh or not not to do
let's take that word off the equation it's more to be like who who are you who who are you really okay
and when you step 100% fully into your full identity of who you are everything in life becomes
easier it becomes either it becomes easier or unnecessary okay why because now you're in the
energetic field where you start to attract everything that's for you okay so that's
That's what I want you to focus on this week is what is your superpower.
Now, let me give you a couple ways to do this.
Number one, step one, your homework is going to be to read chapter three, okay, in the book,
three hours a day, okay?
You're going to read chapter three.
It's going to go in, it's going to have some exercises for you.
They're very simple exercises.
Now, if you want a deep dive into this, I did a whole course.
He used to charge $1,000 for it.
Now it's completely free.
part of the academy.
That whole course is called discovering your divine destiny.
And it's painful.
Okay, let me just say it again.
It's very painful because you're going to start to see who you really are
and some of y'all don't like who you are.
And that's okay.
All right, that's just how it is.
You start to uncover, you know, who am I really?
And some of you don't like what you see or you've never come to fall in love with yourself.
Okay.
That's an exercise that that's for another day.
But God loves you.
Why can't you love yourself?
Why can't, you know, I want to love everything God loves, don't you?
You know, one of the reasons why I help other people is, it's not just to, oh, I just love people.
That's my wife, okay?
I'm not, that's not me.
If you see my profile, you'll know that is not me.
I'm high on the SC scale.
I'm, you know, I'm introverted.
But a long time ago, I saw that, hey, man, God loves it.
these people. Yeah, God loves that one and that one and that one. Yeah, God loves him. Maybe I should,
I want to love everything God loves. Oh, God loves you. I want to love you too then. Okay. So I know God
loves me. So why can't I love myself? I definitely do. I love what God has created. And so getting
back into this, this whole thing about honing your superpower, if you want to make your life easier
and you want to make things unnecessary, you want to eliminate the struggle, you want to, you want to
eliminate strife, eliminate the angst, then you have to really hone in and you superpower.
Let me give you a couple ideas on how to do this. Now, if you want the, I'm going to give you
the cheat sheet. If you really want to get in deep, deep into it, you've got to know yourself.
If you've not spent time, most of you have, you follow me, then you've done a lot of personal
development. I, you know, I come from a very abusive, abused background. So I did a lot of, I didn't,
I didn't actually go through therapy, but I did a lot of PD, personal development,
which is pretty much kind of similar, I guess.
And I went way down the rabbit hole with it, way down the rabbit hole,
to where I could actually love myself and really, really feel like, man, you know,
really, really, you know, just like I'm not, it's kind of weird, but like you become your own
best friend, you know, kind of a way to say it.
But you have to know who you are.
And if you haven't done the work to explain.
floor who you really are.
I would recommend a book like Letting Go by Dr. David Hawkins.
Letting Go is a really, really good book.
It's a good primer.
The power of your subconscious mind is another really good primer by Dr. Joseph Murphy.
And that's going to help you kind of unlock.
Obviously, scripture.
And some people say, man, the Bible's too big.
Okay, well, if you don't want to read the whole Bible, just read the New Testament.
Oh, you don't want to read the whole New Testament? All right, I got you. Read the book of John. Oh, you don't want to read the whole book of John, huh? Okay. Just read the words in red. All right. Start there. Go to go to get you, get you, just read the words of Jesus, okay? And then you start to get to know who is this wonderful thing that God has created, this being that God has made? Who am I? And then you move on to, okay, what are my gifts? What are my,
What am I really, really, really good at?
Okay.
Because here's the thing.
Once you understand that, I want, and this is how I do it,
I wrap my entire life around what I'm good at.
And whatever I'm not good at, I just let it fall away.
It don't matter.
Don't matter.
Because there's other people that are good at that and I'll just hire them.
Okay.
If you really stay in the lane that God has you, you will not want for anything.
You'll have no lack ever.
There will only be abundance because you're going to be flowing in your gifts.
I met a guy not too long ago, a guy named Sharma, okay?
I said, Mr. Sharma, you know what Sharma's good at?
Now, he's a real people person, but he's just really good at cooking.
He's a chef.
and he's come from India and he lived in Hong Kong.
I said, man, what did you do in Hong Kong?
He says, duh, I cooked.
He said, I can go anywhere in the world and I've always got a job.
He's got a smile on his face.
The man has, you know, six figures and he's ready to go buy a house.
Okay.
So, and he lives a very, very, very happy life.
Now, I don't want you to confuse.
It's very important.
I don't want you to confuse what you do.
do for who you are.
That's a completely different conversation.
What you do is a byproduct of who you are.
Okay.
But when you understand who you are and you understand your superpower,
you could apply that to anything.
If I was selling plumbing parts,
if that was my primary function in this world,
I had a plumbing parts business,
I would be doing exactly what I do right now in that business.
It doesn't matter what you're doing, okay?
And because most people, especially in the United States of America, they get it very twisted like, oh, I'm supposed to be this.
No, you could be anything, but in that role, in that, you know, you could work for any corporation, any company or any real estate firm, whatever.
But what is your highest and best use?
What is the highest, write this down.
What is the highest and best use of and then put a blank?
Put your name.
what's the highest and best use of Tony Tronto?
What is the highest and best use of Bradford Page?
What is the highest and best use of Carol Smith?
You know, you put it in there, okay?
And then that really is going to anchor back like, okay, well, what's my superpower?
Okay.
If I'm Superman, I got certain, is it my X-ray vision?
And by the way, you're going to have three or four of these.
I'm going to give you the cheat sheet.
The cheat sheet is write down all three or four or five things that you're really, really, really, really good at.
Really good at.
Like, I'm really good at this.
And by the way, some of you, if you don't know yourself, and it's no shame in it.
If you haven't really done the work to know who you really are, you may actually be living a life that's not even you.
I'm just going to put that out there because I did for years.
I remember back in the day, and I said I was going to keep this brief, right, Paul?
I remember back in the day, so when I was 10 years old, I accepted Jesus Christ in my heart, okay, became a believer, love God.
I was just, I was in, 100% in.
And then the cares of the world came along, right?
I became a teenager.
So by the time I became 13, I started liking girls, right?
So then I started, you know, doing my thing and, you know, I don't show pictures of me
when I was young like that because it was, I was dangerous.
And then I started going to school and I started noticing, okay, well, all the kids,
they're wearing this, so I got to wear that.
Oh, you got your hat on that way?
Then I'm going to put my hat on that way.
Oh, you like that brand?
I like that brand.
Oh, you like eating that?
I like eating that.
We become conformists.
Okay.
it's called pure pressure. We want to be like everybody else. And most people go through their whole life
that way. They never break out of it. They're always trying to live up to the neighbor or the other person,
the other guy at the firm. Okay. But that's not you. You know, for you, it's like, who, who am I?
Who did God create me to be? If you don't really know who that is, then have somebody help you.
Somebody that knows you really, really, really well. Okay, your significant other. Have them help.
you come up with a list of four or five things that are really, really, you know, sort of in your
zone of genius. In your zone of genius. And then just plug all that into GPT and say, hey,
these are, this is what I'm really good at. This is the list of stuff that I'm really,
really good at. What's my superpower? Okay. Try that for a fun exercise this week. Okay.
And then if you really want to go on a deep dive with it,
make sure you read chapter 3 of three hours a day
and take the discovering your divine destiny course.
Okay?
If you haven't done a lot of PD, it's going to be really revealing.
I'll just say it that way.
Or at the very least, if you don't want to take the whole course,
just download the workbook.
It's free.
Okay?
You download the workbook.
It's got 121 questions to help you understand.
who you are. But the cheaters are just going to use GPT.
And just do it that way. It's super easy. So let me see if there's anything else that I want to,
I think that's it. That's all I really wanted to talk to you about today is when you start
to lean into your superpower who God created you to be and who, I'm going to put it one other
way to help you understand it a little bit better. When you start to lean into the reality
of why God put you here and who you're here to show up as,
life becomes easier.
And a lot of the things that you do become unnecessary.
Remember in Dr. Joseph Murphy's book,
The Power of Your Subconscious Mind,
he said there are two principal reasons for failure.
Two principal reasons why you fail in any endeavor.
Okay.
And the second reason for that,
The first one is just basically that you don't have enough belief.
Like you're not, you don't have enough confidence.
Okay, you're not, he put it a different way.
But the second one is you're basically working too hard.
And I see a lot of people doing that.
They're making too many calls.
They're making too many reachouts.
They're doing too much regeneration.
They're doing more.
And they're not getting the results.
And they're like, and they wonder why.
but it's that they're not really snapping into their authentic self of who they really are.
So that's what I wanted to share with you. Take that for what it is. That has given me a lot of peace
in life and help me to live the life that God created me to live. And I want the same for you.
All right. So with that, we're going to get into Q&A. I do want to share something that I was going to share
that I think will help you put this in the context.
And that is, have you ever seen an old Western movie
where they go on a cattle drive?
Anybody ever seen a movie like that?
You see like a whole bunch of people and they're going,
they've got to take the cows from Montana to Texas.
All right, and they got this cattle drive.
And you got all kind of characters on the cattle drive.
Anybody ever seen, am I the only one that watches these old Westerns?
All right.
It's like, no, no, you're the only one to watch them old Westerns.
I don't watch that crap.
Well, there's other movies that are similar, but the reality is that you just asked yourself,
who would you be, you know, on the cattle drive?
Like, what role would you play?
Or go to an old western town, you know, you had one blacksmith, you had one barber,
you had two hotels, you had one saloon, you had, you get it, right?
You had one general store, like, which role would you play in that?
Okay.
and the more you start to hone, you start to figure out who you are, you would know right away,
okay, I would be that guy or I'd be that girl in that scene.
And then play fully, play fully with who God created you to be.
All right, I'm going to check the chat, see if I have any questions in there.
That was what I want you to learn today is how to hone your superpower.
