What is going on and welcome back to another episode of the Real and Raw show.
We are in quarter two of 2024.
And today I want to talk to you about how to dominate Q2 of 2024.
But before we do that, let's take a little roll call.
How was Q1?
Take a second if you're sitting there and you got your pen and paper because you always should listening to this show.
If you're driving, take a mental note and ask yourself, did you hit your goals?
Yes or no?
If you didn't hit your goals, why not?
Be honest, why not?
Next question is, did we stay consistent and committed to the action that we said we wanted to take?
Get into the gym more often, better eating habits, making more dials.
Did you stay consistent?
If not, why not?
This phrase says nothing changes if nothing changes.
I'm going to give you guys what we use in order to have a more productive, more effective, more efficient quarter, quarter in and quarter out.
But you have to understand something.
The first step to this is acknowledging what the hell happened last quarter.
The truth behind it all.
I'm recording this episode the day before we do our coaching call, which is every Wednesday at 10 o'clock Central.
And tomorrow we are going to go do a deep dive of a reflection of Q1, then a very deep dive, a very strategic dive into what needs to be done this quarter to absolutely blow it out of the one.
to absolutely dominate in all areas.
And we do a very strategic planning.
I mean, I'm not going to do that today with you guys because it's an hour call, but I want to give you guys some concepts and things that you can take in and really start to put the pieces together.
And what we have found is that a lot of agents, they don't properly prepare, they don't properly reflect, they don't properly set themselves up for success.
So when it comes to the end of the quarter, and they say it didn't hit their goals, whether that's in real estate or in their health or in their relationships, it's because they didn't properly prepare.
Right. And what we do is we get down to nitty gritty. We go from the year to the quarter to the quarter to the month, the month to the week, the week to the day. But today is called all about quarterly planning. See, there's a book called a 12 week a year. If you guys haven't read it, definitely take a listen or read it. Because it just breaks down the concept of how if we could take our yearly goal and break it down in 12 week increments, we actually find ourselves being more productive than we ever thought we could. We find ourselves reaching higher for different goals.
And it's an amazing book that this breaks down a very simple concept of, you know, hey, stop looking at everything as a 12-month goal.
Take that 12-month goal and break it down into 12 weeks.
And so here's what you're going to do.
First thing is reflection like we just did.
Now I'm going to give you guys very quick tools on what to do to set yourself up for success in 2024 Q2.
The first thing is identify in your areas of life what does success look like.
Don't get nitty gritty with the goals yet.
Just what does success look like in the areas of our life that you must write these down in?
It's going to be your health, relationship, business, finances, spiritual, and joy or personal.
Now, when I tell these different areas or equities alive to a lot of people, they're kind of thrown off with the spiritual thing.
What does that mean?
Whatever it means to you, right?
Whatever it means to you, whether it's getting centered with yourself some more,
whether it's going ahead and learning more about a different religion or diving deeper into
your current religion, whatever it might be.
Then people are like, okay, what about joy?
What the hell does that mean?
That is where a lot of us tend to not even focus on, which is what makes you happy?
What fills your cup?
So joy or personal, right?
Maybe like for me, right, we live in Destin, Florida.
And for me, it's, I want to get on the board more and I want to go paddleboarding more.
That brings me joy.
Golfing brings me joy.
So I could put it in there because it's not in there.
It doesn't get done, right?
How many times I'm going to,
I've been wanting to do this thing for myself,
but it's just I don't have enough time.
No, you just haven't properly prepared yourself
in order to get it done.
Then the other part is finances and business.
There's a difference.
When I talk about business,
I'm talking about structure, systems, processes.
You want to get a new CRM.
You want to go ahead and hire a buyer's agent.
You want to get an ISA.
That's business.
Finances, right, is I want to make,
25,000. I want to make 100,000. I want to pay off 15,000 in debt. I want to invest 20,000 into
something. That's finances. So business is more structured systems and processes. And then finances is really
money and money out. What does that look like? So now you understand what the six equities are.
What does success look like in those areas? When I say kind of go big and not too granular right now,
it's like in my business, success means running like a well-oiled machine, being able to not become a
slave to my profession, being able to have systems that are working for me even when I'm
sleeping.
That's success.
Right.
Okay.
Once again, that's broad.
We're going to get granular in a minute.
Maybe for success for health, it's, you know, going and, you know, when I take my shirt off,
I feel confident, right?
When I pass a mirror, I feel confident, right?
Understanding that I can have a healthy lifestyle eating without cutting out everything that I
love.
That's success for me this quarter.
So what does success look like?
Now, once you figured out success in all these six areas, now let's break it down to a more granular level.
Okay.
And this granular level is going to help you guys take these action steps.
But before you do that, now you got your success.
Ask yourself, what is the theme for this quarter?
What is the theme?
And what I mean by that is what is the phrase?
What is the mantra?
What is this theme that you are going to continue to filter your actions through?
I give me an example.
So I had one of our clients say, all gas, no breaks.
Okay, that's her theme for the quarter.
Now, if that's her theme for the quarter,
and she's like, I don't know if I'm doing this right now.
And then she could run that filter of, wait, wait,
does this align with the theme I said I wanted to keep?
No, it doesn't.
Let's go.
Right.
Or maybe someone had said, hey, you know, have more balance,
what we call integration.
Okay.
Someone says, hey, can I see a home at 8 o'clock at night or something's texting
you at 9 o'clock at night?
And then you're answering, you're answering,
but then you can take a step back.
Hold on.
Does that go?
go through my theme of having more balance? No, because I'm missing out activities with the kids.
So I got to stop that. So the theme is almost like this filter that you make your decisions off of
this quarter. Let me do this monthly as well. Okay. So what is the theme? What does it look like for
you? Is it all gas, no brakes? Is it going all in? Is it stop complaining? Start committing.
Is it finally getting out of my own way? Like what is the theme? Write it down. I give you guys
a second. If you can't write it down, say it out loud, say it to the world.
And we got the theme. Now it's pretty granular.
What is the goal now? What is the what for each of these areas? So you take your six areas of life, six equities of life, and you write down the goal. Maybe let's use business here. My goal, this quarter, right? If I'm you, let's say my goal is going to be to go ahead and have seven closings. Okay. My goal is seven closings for business or for my finances. Great. Okay. My other goal for my business is going to,
be to hire an ISA.
Okay, hire an ISA.
Okay, my last goal is going to be get a new lead generation system.
Okay, so I got three goals here.
Once again, these are examples.
So I want you guys to hear how to actually create, because the goals matter,
but what matters most is how to understand how to break it down to get there.
That's why a lot of goals go on hit because how to get there gets lost in translation.
So the first goal was what?
Seven transactions.
Okay, let's stay there for a second.
that's the goal right now for each of these goals you're going to create what we call action steps
what is the action steps to get there now i want you to go down to the very kindergarten level
what is the first thing you need to do right it's not going to be dial more right it's not going to
be role play more or what knowing your business let's say you have a bunch of leads what's it
going to be right okay action step number one finding the time every sunday where i'm going to
make my six hours of dials.
Okay.
Action step number two.
Three days a week, role play.
Find it in my calendar.
Action step number three, right?
Going ahead and making the dials those days that we find every Sunday that we can
go ahead and we can accomplish it throughout the week.
Right.
Action step number four.
Tracking every Friday so I can make sure that I don't drop the ball and maybe I'm,
you know, making a lot of dials, but I'm not closing well, right?
or maybe I'm working with a lot of people, but I'm not getting enough offers.
So I'm going to track every Friday.
I'm going to reflect every Sunday on what I could do better.
But these are just some examples.
All right.
These are just some examples.
Let's go, you know, to the lead generation.
You're not just going to go get a new lead generation.
That's not the way it works, right?
You're going to say, okay, first step is to talk to, you know, other people in my network
that are in real estate that have lead generation systems that are working.
Cool.
Okay.
Step number three is reach out to these three or four different lead generation
systems and then go ahead and have conversations with them. Step number two. Step number three,
let's go ahead and purchase one. Okay. Step number four is go ahead and learn how to use one.
See how I'm breaking it down step by step. And the important part to this is because when we
could take them in chunks, right, when we can take these action steps and these stepping stones
to get there, hitting the goal becomes a lot easier. Does it become as overwhelming? Does it become
as so stressful? And so you take your big goal for the quarter.
And then you go ahead and you break it down action steps, but go to the very beginning.
So when you start to do this, where you're going to find is when you ask yourself the question,
is that really the first step?
You're going to find it's not because you're not used to doing this yet, right?
You're going to skip two or three steps.
So when you do this, just ask yourself, okay, is that truly the first step?
Am I missing something here?
Okay, so now we got six areas of life.
We have what success looks like.
We break down it and say, okay, now what does real, tangible, measurable goals look like in those areas?
Then we break it down and say, okay, here are the action steps to get there.
Okay.
Now, number five, okay, we're going to ask yourself, who do I need to help me with this or what
do I need to help me with this?
Let's go to the health.
Hey, who do I need?
I need an accountability partner.
Okay.
Like today, we just went and we worked out at the beach.
We went there.
It was 6 a.m.
It was still dark out.
But my accountability partner came, right?
And we worked out.
We did our exercise and boom, then, and we went on with our day.
I did see him like two other times after that.
but I need accountability part.
Okay, great.
Maybe for your business, talk about those goals, right, of role playing.
Okay.
Well, who do you need to help you with that?
You identify those people.
Why is that important?
Because when you could identify who could help you with this, you collapse time from the understanding, right?
So I'm here with the knowledge.
I'm very little.
But when I get with somebody that has a high level of knowledge, or at least a higher level
than I do, I collapse.
the time. And so you figure out who, and sometimes there's not anybody you really need help
with that that could help you with it. But there is at least 60% of time somebody can help you.
Maybe it's your wife. Maybe it's your husband. Maybe it's your kid. Like find someone that
can help you with these activities because that's going to help you elevate, obviously,
your activity, but help you collapse the time from where you're out to where you want to go
with understanding, you know, or results.
All right. Next.
So you wake up on a Monday like I did yesterday and like, whoa, I forgot.
Okay, I got to get that done.
I promise you, if I did not do that, it would have been April 20th.
I'm like, oh my God, I didn't play golf at all.
How many times have you done that, right?
You planned on doing something for the month, but it wasn't in your calendar.
Life got away from you.
Things were happening and then you never got to do it.
Or you never signed up for it.
Or you never took advantage of it.
Or you never did the things you said you're going to do because it wasn't in your damn calendar.
That next steps to this is it's pretty simple, but it's one of the first.
of the harder things that a lot of people have trouble with.
Evaluate every single Sunday.
Hey, where did I drop the ball?
Because you're going to screw up.
You're going to drop the ball.
You're going to not do things you said you're going to do.
I'm here.
I do the same thing.
Right.
I'm going to make X amount of dials and maybe there's days I don't.
But I got to reflect it.
But dude, why not?
If not, why not?
Ask yourself that question right now.
If not why not, right?
If you didn't do it, why not?
Well, I found another thing that, you know, it was easier, right?
I was emailing and said.
I was texting and said.
right or maybe you didn't go to the gym oh because i stayed up too late right oh because uh you know it was
it was raining out or whatever the case is so you reevaluate every single sunday and say okay what does it
look like and then you put those action steps back into your calendar so that is the 12 week year
in a very short 15 minute uh understanding and as i said the importance of this is that you'll find
yourself being able to take more action, being more productive, being more efficient,
being more integrated to what some people want to call balance in your everyday life.
And that's what we all aim for this.
We all earn for us.
We all search for, right?
Is that that balance that, hey, man, I'm making a lot of money, but I'm also making a lot
of memories.
And there's season of your life where it's going to be a lot of hard work to make the
money, right?
And that's fair.
But at the end of the day, at the end of the year, at the end of the quarter, can I say
my life was integrated?
And if I can't say that, you know, hey, it was.
I wasn't, can I at least say I did my reflection.
I broke things down.
I did everything the last 12 weeks I said I was going to do.
And you say if you did all of that, then maybe it was just that season of your life.
You know what I mean?
Maybe it's just that season of your life because we do have those seasons where it's not
exactly integrated.
It's not exactly balanced.
So you have to ask yourself, be honest, right?
Was it my fault?
Was it my fault?
If you watch this on YouTube, you're going to see I'm plugging in my computer right now.
And by the way, this is.
what it's about, man.
Just being real, raw, authentic, trying to plug in your computer and not able to do it.
This is a huge opportunity for you guys to get ahead of Q2 by doing it this weekend.
Do it this weekend.
This is going to air.
You're going to find every reason not to do it.
It takes you not that much time at all.
Obviously, the first time you do is going to take a little longer.
But I want you guys to take action on it, okay?
Take action on it.
And hey, if you want to join our coaching and we can help you with this.
process, we can not just tell you how to do it, but we can help you with what you should be
putting into your action steps and your stepping stones, what you should be putting into your
life or your business to make it more effective, more efficient, then let's go, right?
So the other thing that's happening from now until you sign up is time, wasted money,
wasted opportunity.
And the investment is less than one transaction.
Let me ask you, if you think I could help you close more than one transaction than you
normally close, why are you sitting on the sideline still?
Right?
We're here.
It's the most inexpensive, highest value coaching that you can receive.
So stop waiting, take action.
Go real estate mastery.
com or slide us in my DMs.
We can just have a conversation about it.
Do the work, guys.
I got a sign here.
It says, you guys can see it.
Do the work.
Hey, maybe that's your theme.
Maybe your theme this quarter is going to be due the work.
work. I'm signed up for that theme. That's giving me my theme. Do the work. Am I doing the work now?
Yeah, absolutely. But continue to do the work. Do it deeper. Do it do it at a next level.
All right. So I would love to hear your thoughts on this. If you have a theme and you're excited to
share it out, I would love for you to share this podcast episode out and go ahead and let us know what
the theme of the year is. Let us know what the theme of the year is. All right. So as I as I recap,
The 12 week year, the 12 week year is going to help you be more effective, be more efficient,
right?
Create yourself a higher intensity, higher urgency to hit your goals and you'll find yourself
collapsing the time from where you're at to where you want to go.
How do we go ahead and do this?
Number one is what are these six areas of life, right, that we talked about before.
So identify in the six areas of life, what does success look like?
Bigger, grand scale.
Number two, then get more granular and ask yourself, okay, so if success looks like this,
what is a tangible goal need to look like?
Then number three, ask yourself, okay, what are the stepping stone goals, right,
from the very beginning to get to that goal?
Step number four is making sure that you ask yourself,
who do I need to help me with these goals?
Accountability partner.
Is it somebody else in the industry that knows a little bit more than I do?
Who do I know or who do I need to ask to help me with these goals?
Step number five is going ahead and evaluating when and where this needs to be put into your
calendar.
So put into your calendar for the next 12 weeks.
Last but not least, number six is making sure that you have a reflection every single Sunday.
And a little bonus one, create a theme.
Create a theme that you run every action step through and say, hey, it's due to work,
baby.
This quarter my theme is due to work.
In every step, every decision you make, you can run yourself through that filter.
Am I saying committed to the theme I said I want to say committed to, which was do the work or whatever it is for you?
All right. Hopefully you found this valuable. Make sure you share this thing out. And as I said
before, look, you're looking to get into our coaching. It's less than one one transaction,
guess. Less than one for some of you guys, it's less than a quarter of one. Okay. So if you want
to go ahead and see what our coach is all about, go to www.gillestatemastery.com. Hit me up on
Instagram at Real John Morone. And let me know what questions you have. I'd love to see you in our
community. And don't forget. Don't wait for the door of opportunity to open. Go kick that door
damn down. See, I said this before. See, door damned them. I said this yesterday on a call.
I don't know what happened. Oh, in this damn tongue twister, I've been saying it's forever.
All right. We're going to end it the right way. Okay. Don't wait for the door of opportunity to
open. Kick that damn door down and take what is yours. All right, guys, until next week. Cheers.
