studio. Thank you so much for having me. I'm so excited. Awesome. Jessica, we met,
and I love saying my own name to another person who is equally deserving of such a great name. We met a
week ago, because nearly a week ago, in Charlotte, North Carolina, so much closer to where you live.
I'm in California. And when we met, it was obviously just an instant connection in terms of
being in the room with other people loving what we do, loving our real estate entrepreneurship
and how much we have to share and the energy exchange that everyone had that day. Tell me a little
bit about you as a real estate entrepreneur, where did you get started? So I'd like to hear a little bit
about the beginning of where you came into this industry, because now you're an icon agent at
ExP Realty. You've been in the business for eight years. How did it all get started? I love this question.
Yes, for sure. We did meet in Charlotte. That was such a fun event. And just like I said, the energy in that
room was so awesome. It was just contagious to everyone. Everyone was like high-fiving each other.
and I was just so much fun. But yeah, so real estate, so I was a bartender in my previous life.
I feel like a lot of people. Or Twanmy. Yes. So you too. See, I don't even know that about your story on that side.
It's like everyone has that same beginning. I was struggling really hard when I was a bartender.
I had my daughter. I was a single mom. I wasn't a single mom then, but previously I was a single mom.
I found my amazing husband now. But I struggled really hard being a bartender just because I wanted to be home enough with my daughter.
She was so distant from her because she was at school and I was having to work after school.
Law and I was very short, someone who just randomly mentioned, hey, why don't you become a real estate agent?
I thought everyone in my town is a real estate agent.
So what makes me any different?
Everyone at the bar is a real estate agent.
And everyone becomes in, isn't it?
Yeah, everyone is literally an agent.
I don't even know if this is the right thing for me.
But I didn't even have some money to do the classes.
Like, I was struggling that.
I've heard of financial.
I didn't even have the money to do the classes.
So one of my best friends, she got a promotion.
and a bonus.
She paid from my classes to take relatives.
She's, I believe in you so much.
I'm going to do this for you.
You want to bless you.
And what a blessing?
Because I was like, man, now I can let her down because she believed in me.
You want to prove her mighty.
100%.
Yeah, I have to be different.
So, yeah.
And then I just end up connecting with the most amazing mentor.
She'll be my mentor for life.
She doesn't know that.
But I call her still daily, getting her advice.
It's pretty good.
Yeah, I just took that one person.
I'd say one person.
I took a team of people to, A, believe in me, to give me the confidence that I could do it, and to show me it could be done.
And I feel like that recipe has set me out for so much more success because now that they've poured into me, I want to pour out to other people.
And I just feel like that's rewarded as well.
So that's the short story of my career so far.
Yeah, I bet there's lots of other stories tied to that.
Yeah, I love that.
And what's interesting is that sometimes people see things in us that we can't even see.
or we don't yet see in ourselves.
And now fast forward,
you're now a new real estate agent,
people,
you're around people all the time.
So how'd you get started
as a real estate entrepreneur?
What were the first steps you took?
Did you join a company?
Were you solo agent?
What were your first steps?
Yeah.
So I joined a big brokerage
and they were just,
they said the same thing,
just go out and talk to people.
And I thought,
I know how to do that.
That's my job anyways.
Right.
So I made these little goody bag.
I was passing out to all these businesses in our small downtown Fawnway.
And while I was crossing the street, this lady was trying to park where I was at.
And she literally almost ran me over.
And it turns out to be someone that I'd work with previously.
She's like, what are you doing?
I gave her my business car.
I said, and hey, I'm an agent now, just like the other 45-100.
Did you give her a goodie bag or no?
I gave her a little goody bag.
I had a little shrap-lid.
I had a couple left.
I think it was so shy.
I felt so odd handing out these little chocolate bag.
But she ended up being in my first sale.
So I was like, she almost killed me.
No way.
So I survived.
He had to be in my first sale, $90,000.
I'll never forget it.
So, yeah, it was just one of those things.
And then it proved to myself, but I remember the first, like, $90,000,
but this is a lot of money.
I was selling $2,000 butt lights and now I'm selling in $100,000 house.
This is a big step for me.
$2 bed lights.
Yeah, they're not doing more.
That's very true.
Like, it was just, it was a light bulb moment for me.
And I thought, okay, I made more.
on that check than I did working months as a partner.
And it was like, what's possible?
Yeah.
Exactly.
I thought, okay, what else could I do?
And then I think that was just like, it took four months now.
And so many four months, you get in my first deal.
I think a lot of people, they get into it gets so discouraged in the beginning because
they feel like it's going to be so easy.
And every once in the money, use that they know.
And it gets discouraging.
I think even in year two, I remember walking into the office of my broker at the time.
And I'll ball with my eyes out.
I was like, what am I doing with my life?
I feel like I'm failing.
I feel like you have these cycles and then you have people that come in and remind you,
you are really great at this.
You can do this and just keep going.
So it's definitely been a roller coaster.
Even eight years in, it's still a roller coaster.
If we're all being honest, it might look really super great on the outside behind the scenes
for sometimes going a little crazy.
But this is perception is reality, right?
And I love what you shared.
I shared this quote and I love this quote so much because it just really hits hard over and over,
which is luck is when preparation meets opportunity.
And so you were four months in when you met this lady or three to four months in.
And at some point, you were probably like, I don't know, this thing is so going to work.
I wasn't making good money, but at least every day I was making money for sure.
And now it's three to three, four months in.
And I'm walking with the goody bags.
And I'm trying to add value and trying to pretend that I don't really need to make a sale.
But I do.
So desperate.
So desperate.
But I'm not, I'm just here to serve.
And at the end of the day, it wasn't luck that the lady almost hit you with her car.
Right.
That she was your first client.
It was the fact that you had not given up and that you were doing the activities.
And that's, I was talking to Julie Nelson earlier today.
She's an amazing lady.
If you don't know her, she's out of Austin, Texas.
She's got a book called On Fire Hot, Success Faster, On Fire Hot.
Yeah, you've got to read her book.
You can check her out at the Nelsonproject.org.
And the reason why I mentioned her is because she was saying that you absolutely need to be doing the activities.
And I think that's where a lot of real estate agents, they don't like that J.O.B. part, she says, like the job part.
But it's the easiest job in the world.
If you do the hours of prospecting, we have the gift as real estate agents to generate revenue.
And we're not able to generate revenue.
when we're working the job.
But if we generate revenue as entrepreneurs,
we get our time back and you do get to be at home with the kids more often
and all of these amazing things about being an entrepreneur
if you're spending your time on the right things.
So what things would you say to a realtor that's just getting started
who wants to evolve and inspires to be an icon agent like you are?
What are some of the things you should,
you would say that they need to stick to when they're first getting started?
And you mentioned one, which is getting around people and having a mentor, what else would you add?
Yeah, definitely a mentor is the number one thing.
And I think that's first and foremost before you even do anything else,
before you start ordering your business cards.
You need, and you're the sum of the five people that you hang around this.
And I love the saying that you just had, I actually write it down in my book.
But it's, you mean, you really are the sum of the people of the five people you hang around.
So if you are surrounding yourself with people that you want to emulate and that you want to be like,
then it's going to be a tough route because you're not going to have anyone that's going to inspire you.
So having that mentor there to show you, first of all, it can be done and take actions of what they're doing.
That's the first thing that you should be doing is finding whoever it is in your industry or not.
Without how many, you can find one of 70,000 people that will inspire you.
So that's first and foremost.
The second is definitely talking to everyone, someone every single day and being consistent at it.
I think a lot of people get discouraged again.
And it doesn't happen overnight.
It's, you have to continue at it every single day.
It's not just one thing.
It's letters.
It's being there for people providing value with no expectation of anything back.
It's being of service to other people.
And like you're going to build the trust.
And eventually people are going to come around and use you, but, and use you in anything
of real estate.
But it's not going to happen overnight.
And it's not easy.
So it's just really staying consistent, surrounding yourself with people that encourage you,
because eventually it will come together.
It's just not going to be super fat.
And it's going to be messy, right?
It's pretty so messy.
Mentioned the book.
Is this something you're writing?
Is this your notebook?
What are you talking about there with the book piece?
So as far as to have the situation with this little book, just like a playbook, really.
And just having.
Oh, I love it.
Business plan.
Yeah.
Do we need one of those?
That's my really next step too.
And something that I don't think I really did much in the beginning of my career.
And, but I was taught to write a prophecy letter of how I want my ear to look, write a story about
my whole year to be.
Write a story. Go into that a little bit more. Tell the audience what you're doing with telling a story about what your year looks like. Okay. It's so much fun. Especially read back eight years because you're like, man, that looks so silly. Wow. So you were doing this ago. Yes. My very first year, I started writing my privacy letter. So I write it as if today is December 31st, 2020. It's let's just say. And I write what my year look like. And it's me.
visualizing every aspect of it. It could be one page or five pages, but it's wild at whenever
you start really designing what you want your year to be, how many of those things really come to
fruition. So I keep it everywhere I look. So I have one inside my computer. I have one in my car.
I have one in my bag. I have one in my book. I want to make sure that I'm reminding myself
why I'm doing this every day because it's not easy to get up and stay motivated every day.
I want to remember the life that I'm not only fading for myself, but from my family.
And so I really get detail.
I get very granular on it.
I want to know that my brother finds love and he's super happy and that my dad can tell his log cabin and get something a little bigger.
So it's just like I get really super into it.
It's not just me getting a nice watch.
I want to make a difference in my family.
It has to be very deep and very, just doesn't mean something to you.
It can't just be the small face.
It's got to be something that you can make an impact with.
So that's how, that's like my story.
My story got me, you got me about to tear up.
That's the fall.
That's so deep.
It's like telling, because what resonates with people is stories, right?
Stories that we tie things down to a story and we can visualize it better,
but telling a story about what your year would look like.
So what are some of the things that were surprising to you later that you were,
that you thought were important or that,
that you thought would be hard. What are some of those things? I feel like it's all harder than you
imagine it would be because you're just painting this beautiful picture of this life and then you
realize some things just aren't meant to be. And I think that's probably the hardest part.
Is not going to pay that as much as I really want that. It's either not for now or maybe it's something
for later or just I'd have to say when I said my brother finds love, he truly did this year. He was
that that's already happened on my list. So I'm very excited about that. There are some other things
and on my prophecy letters as far as I want to be the person in my family that can help
make things happen as far as like dreams or hey I don't have enough money to get new appliances
and I just want to be able to gift them to them without the knowing it's something that those are
my wise I know everyone's different but it's on my prophecy letter this year that's really what
it's all about is becoming debt free and being able to really bless my family and the people that are
around me. So those are my real big wish list. I don't say on my letter. So you've revealed your
list. So I would say when you're writing your story, and I've learned this through gaining clarity,
it's actually more of a journey. I think people step over clarity and they're like, oh, I need clarity
on what I want? I want to make this much money. But if you had all that money, what would you do with it?
And then why you need more clarity? And the actual exercise itself is real work. As a lot of the
things that pour out of us innately, oh, I want this and I want this and I want this. And it's like,
you got to get all that out and then say, okay, and then what else? Yes. Yep, 100%. So when you're
saying, right, so what triggered that, right, when you were to saying triggered this moment for
me. So on this playbook that I did, I went through, I even taught a class on this. It gets very
specific on how you're going to do, what you're going to do, and why you're going to do it. But what
hurts, I think, is that you're doing it in the beginning of the year where you feel most motivated
and most excited because the brand new year is coming, that you've decided that after quarter one,
because your steam starts running out and you're like, the weather's getting warmer.
I want to know the beach, running all the boat.
And I feel like you just like you said, the clarity side of it is a little blurry.
Mel Robbins just brought out this new pack.
I know.
I love her.
She does that break up and I'm like, I need to call Mel.
Oh, wait.
She's not your friend yet, dude.
Eventually.
Yeah, I like that.
She is such a powerful woman.
She has this new thing to make it happen in it.
And I actually just did you do it.
Could be done it yet?
I'm doing it.
We're twins again.
I've been her emails in the morning and I'm like, I'm on task queen.
Yes.
So talk, let's talk about it.
So, yeah.
You've got highlighted.
Oh my gosh.
Show us about it.
I'm doing it all.
What was funny is the day before.
I was turned on to her to make it happen.
That bucket, I wanted to re-energize my why because, of course, I know what it is,
but it gets a little, let gets a little blurry, little monthly.
Yeah.
So I wanted to re-energize my Y, re-focus what I want to do.
Because just like she says, there are some things that at the beginning of the year were
really super important.
And then now they might not be as important, but other things have come up.
So you've got to move some things down the list in order to move more important things up.
So I had broken down and when we were talking about getting granular,
broken out literally everything that I need to do in order to pay off my debt
and have X amount of money and savings and then have X amount of money.
It's paid my bills for the rest of the year.
And then when I put it on perspective, I was like, that's all.
Like that's in the next example, I can do that.
That made it so, yeah, I can do that.
And then with my extra money, I want to be able to buy a big piece of property for
my family to all move to.
Like eventually, if they want to move next year, great, if it wants to be five years,
but I want a piece that everyone can eventually have a son pop down to.
But it was the whole path yet when I started going through it.
I was like, that's it.
I need to re-energize what I'm doing here.
And then jam-pack it into six months because she says, really sit down and visualize
what you want your life to be in six months.
And I do that every single night.
I sit on my back porch.
I pray.
And then I just close my eyes in total silence and just visualize what I want it
to look like in six months.
And I tell you what, it will bring, it brings me to tears because it's so beautiful and so
peaceful, I think.
And then, so that gets me prepared for the next day.
I can take on whatever I need to.
I can have all the conversations because I know exactly what I want in six months and
I'm willing to do whatever I have to get there.
So her, you are speaking my language right now.
No, what cat?
I mean, you have, right?
I'm getting a little just like hot and sweaty.
Well, yeah.
I can.
They're like, like, stop it in.
I was unleashed the baby.
That's a thing.
It really has.
Yes, you know, I was so pumped out.
I was like, Adam, breath.
I'm like, you need to take your breath.
I mean, you have no idea.
Yeah, like what's not going to do.
So,
I love this because not everyone is going to
well to match or understand our craziness
at the time that we're
passionate about this process.
But the process is where
the change and the momentum
and like everything that has to do
with getting the result occur.
Yes.
And so the daily process of what you're doing,
I love though, it's almost like you could feel it.
You could feel the momentum and you can feel that change
and the transformation as you're moving forward
because you're not saying,
I'm going to move forward to what six months looks like.
You're saying every single day.
So it's really just tomorrow, that's the gift,
whatever that is tomorrow, the next day,
six months and one day from now.
Yeah, it just keeps evolving.
So you're really feeling and experiencing the transformation
because not only are you feeling the change when it happens
or like the result, the result when it happens,
but you're actually feeling different every day
in terms of what you're telling a story about in the future.
That's different.
Yes.
Yeah.
And it's something that I don't think I've ever been committed to doing.
It's everyone's not visualize what it looks like.
But it's not just a one-time thing.
Like I can sit here for it.
for five minutes,
we're like,
all right,
I can see it
and then move on.
But it's really immersing
yourself,
like,
and trying to just live in the moment
when you're visualizing it.
It's just a different experience.
And it's not just business.
It's related.
Oh,
of course.
I forgot we were talking about business.
It's everything.
And when it just all comes together,
it's like you have,
even just in the past few days,
I've just been smiling because I was like,
I have been visualized.
This is it.
this is what I've been visualizing.
So it's pretty cool.
And so it's something I highly recommend anyone to do
is just really visualize the life that you want.
And just in six months, it doesn't be five years.
Just things change every day.
But I like for six month idea,
because I feel like that is something that's absolutely a painable
and it's an easier pill as well.
Yeah, and we like to, as human beings,
we like to see progress.
Like, we like to feel progress.
So I think you can, you're more self-aware
of these shorter timelines.
So what's something you would reveal
about being an entrepreneur and being a super mom.
So you're blessed with a wonderful husband now,
but you're a mother of two.
You're an entrepreneur.
You're eight years.
You had babies before you were a real estate agent.
What's like a dark day you could go back to
where you wanted to give up?
And what did you do that day to move on?
Yeah, in full transparency,
it's not just at one time in your career
where you feel like, oh, everything is beautiful and rainbows now.
It's different things come up.
I can definitely say the benchmark for me was my second year in real estate.
And I'm not saying that I haven't had any darker days since then.
They've definitely been plenty.
But whenever you're just feeling like it's not coming together.
And I truly don't feel that comparison is a thief of joy.
I think it can be to certain people.
But it's all in how you frame it in your mind.
Yeah, I'm a very big competitive person.
And I will, in my mind, compete.
Again, you may be my top competitor.
you might not ever know, but in my mind, I'm going to beat you.
I'm not funny.
So funny that you say that because I think that can be really healthy.
I'm absolutely competitive.
And I love to be like, I will be number one.
I will be number one team this year.
Yes.
And it might sound crazy.
But it doesn't mean I don't want to see everyone else win or when they beat me.
I'll be like, yeah.
Whoa.
Yeah.
That's really on.
No.
Oh, my gosh.
But it's okay to say, I'm going to do that.
It's not the thief of joy.
So tell me more about that.
Like when you see someone that is already, can you hear the dogs?
I mean, yeah.
Yeah.
We, it's like, bra.
It is not following me.
I think when we see people that we, it's not like, oh, I want to be just like you.
But I see that your core values and what's important to you and what you hold
sacred and who you show up as, I admire and I aspire to be like that. And then you see these folks
and you identify them and then you say, and all the success that you've created, I'm going to do
that. So what then steps do you take when you identify these people in your world and how you
learn from them? And what insights would you give to other entrepreneurs listening?
Yeah. When we go back to the comparison, the one of the folks say comparisons is a thief of joy.
She does say, and I'm sure I'm going to butcher it, but just basically don't compare my chapter, your chapter to my book or however that goes.
But I think that's true because back when I was in my second year, I saw all these other people that were just thriving.
And I thought, what am I doing wrong?
I should be much better than this.
And I still have those thoughts.
They creep up every once in a while.
But I think that whenever you're trying to find someone that you want to emulate that you want to be like, you don't just look at their business model because they're really great people that are very successful at what.
what they do. And behind the scenes, they're awful. And there's not one day that I would ever want to be in
their shoes because they're miserable behind the scenes. They're family lives or awful or they,
whatever. Yeah. And so I am so grateful for the people that are in my circle because not only are
they really great in this, but they're good people. They want to give back. They give back without
expectation. I'm learning from them on how to be better at that. So look for people not only are just
successful in one area, but find someone that's successful in all of it and hold your own values.
Because I think we can get blindside about a lot of that. Everyone in businesses, you've always
had that one person that you put on a pedestal and then you find out on the other side of it,
they're just nodded. It's a very disappointing situation to be in. I've been there personally.
So just find someone that you want to emulate that's the succeeding in most, if not all areas of their
life because those are the people that you want to hold near and dear. Yeah, I think that's why we both
love Mel Robbins, right? Because she shows the tough side. She, and I imagine sometimes she gets
permission from the people that she, in her family, that she shares moments of like really
hard shit to work through and exposes it completely because you really need to get that context
and understand that everyone is human and perception is reality. So if we see people that
look all perfect, like they're not. And the sooner we accept that, I think the more it helps us
gain confidence and understanding that we as humans, we can also achieve anything that anyone
else has. And it's not all going to be pretty. But it's saying, and it might have been you,
it's just like we're all link arms and we can make this straight together. It may be messy. It may be
ugly, but we can all do this together. That's just basically what it is. And for it, you can't do it on
your own. Yes, you can to an extent, but we need a team and you need a work family or a business
family. However, it may be some support that's going to get you there. Because if you try to do it
alone, it's really tough. It's really tough. And just need that people to come all outside of you
and help you through some things. Yeah, through all the things. What became fun for you in real
estate when you got better at it? What was hard that you got better at and became fun? Oh,
Okay. Awesome about what I'm speaking about.
I think that's a big hold back from a lot of people is the paralysis analysis paralysis,
whichever way it goes is trying to know everything without knowing everything.
And I feel like as soon as you realize that you are going to know it all,
but you are confident.
I'm going to know.
It's so much more fun.
So I can talk to new agents or I can talk to you and be confident in what I'm saying now when five years ago,
you can't really fake that.
I love that. I tell my, the agents on my team, you are all any agent, you say,
you only have to be resourceful until you become the resource. Maybe never. Maybe you're never the resource.
But people will always trust that you care about getting the right answer for them and finding the best solution and bringing the best resources.
And much more than they will care that you just are like, they might even trust it more.
more. They really trust you and they know you're the resource. They don't know that you are.
So yeah, I think I love that. That becomes more fun. So like putting the reps in on that. And I shared
this on stage when I was in Charlotte. I remember saying or sharing that I've been putting in the reps just
talking about all the topics that that I believe are the real reasons how we build successful
real estate careers, which has nothing to do with real estate.
Oh, my bless you're right. It's like communication. Don't take a communication less
in real estate school.
Yep.
Building deeper connections.
We talked about getting clarity,
building community.
But these are the things,
like when I started to talk about them
and really articulating my words
about what was in my heart
and kind of extracting it
and turning it into something
that could impact and create real change for others.
It's, yeah, I was completely at a loss
of letting it out,
feeling like I needed to prepare
to be able to articulate it better.
And the truth is that you won't get better at it until you start.
And that's it.
And so many people want to fold it back.
They want to feel like they need to know all this before you do it.
But you don't know how to do it unless you do it.
And you're going to feel silly.
There's going to be time to take your wrong.
I had to go from just guessing how to make a shot at the bar.
Do you know how to make whatever?
Like, oh, sure.
So you just throw it in here, shake it up.
What color is it?
And it's green.
Okay, I can do that.
You throw it in there.
And so what are going to say?
You really can't just guess what the answer is.
So you really have to know.
Broke to my soul right now.
I remember, but there were cell phones and you could Google something really quickly on your cell phone.
I don't know how old you are, but I don't know how much older I am than you or you with me.
I have no idea.
But I remember saying, oh, yeah, a grasshopper, no problem.
And then I'd be like, I'll be right back.
And I would go in the mat and I would look through the bar book and be like, okay.
Got it. Boom.
And the thing that it really carries over that I never thought of before with real estate is that you can know the ingredient.
But if you don't understand how to execute them, like you got to, if you don't shake it enough, if you don't put the right parts with the right parts, if you don't put it in the right glass stemware, or you don't add the personality and build the connection with the customer, like you're just going to serve sweet free forever.
Yeah, they're going to call you out.
That's not right.
We're going to send it back.
Right.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So a lot of that translates into showing up for our customers,
showing up for our peers and our community and our mentees and our mentors.
And like you talked about in the beginning, like implementing the things that you learned
from your mentor, wanting to prove them right, people that believed in you.
If you're going to generate leads and then show up and not get the listing,
if you keep blaming it on everyone else why you do.
didn't get the listing, you're just going to keep not getting listings. But if you take
accountability and you're like, okay, I need to get better at this. And I think, and you ask for
the feedback and they're like, oh, that's why I didn't get it. Okay, I need to get better. Oh,
I'm obsessed with that. I'm going to get way better at that. Then you learn so much faster. It's like
these short little sprints of just doing everything better and maybe even different, but definitely
better than you were. So what's one thing that you'd reveal another thing? I think you've revealed
so much. What's one more thing that like maybe right now you want to get better at that you're
working on? I know exactly in the answer to that. Because it's whatever, whatever you said,
asking for feedback, that's a really tough thing to do, I think, in some instances, because you don't want
to know what they're going to say. You already know what they're going to say and you don't want to hear it.
But mine is, so I was taught very early on, keep your emotions out of deals because that can weigh heavy on
on someone's decision and how they react.
So always deliver the news and then wait for the response.
My fault was I left out too much emotion.
So whenever my sellers would or buyers, whichever would be, would want me to be upset about it.
They weren't getting their right reaction that they thought they would.
Oh, you're ready to see.
One before they were.
Yeah.
So behind the scenes, I'm crumbling.
I'm mad.
I'm throwing things, probably not really throwing things,
but getting really upset, but when I'm going to go on, like, hi, Mr. Seller, so I just want to let you know this.
And then I just stopped talking. And they wanted to hear me say, I'm upset. But I was taught not to show the
emotion. So learning. Yeah, learning to be better at that is something that, because I really did have a buyer
reach out. And he said, I just wish that you were upset. And I said, oh, I am upset. He's like, you just don't
sound it. And I thought, yeah, I am really upset. I can be very vulnerable in how I feel.
The truth is that people want to know that you're on that wavelength with that.
Yes.
Yeah.
And I think I could have just gone one way or the other.
I think either go really super emotional or not, but trying to find that even balance,
it's been a learning experience for me for sure.
I think it's a nice to you.
Let's be honest.
That's a great thing to share with the audience.
That's something that doesn't come up often.
It's such a great thing and a very vulnerable thing for you to reveal, right?
because your intention was not to not make them feel that way.
You're just like, they actually try to be more strong and like ready with the strategy
and ready to move on.
You have to get done.
But can you be pissed with me for a second?
Like, this sucks.
Yeah.
And see, my mom's a red head and I have red.
I can't tell them the video, but I have freckles and red and red tint to my hair.
So I have that red head mentality.
I'm going to get really super upset.
So whenever they say, whenever he said, I want to hear you upset, I'm like,
do you want to hear you? But are you sure?
And they don't feel ridiculous for being.
That's it. And that's it. And so that's something I'm learning to be better at.
Oh, I love that. And actually, it's probably really more of you just being more you.
It's really being less like how you thought you had to be and just becoming more of exactly who you are.
So I love that.
And we're both at EXP Rolty.
Not everyone listening is in the same company,
but I just want to touch on the collaboration
and just close the loop on that because that's how we met.
And you reached out, I think, on, I don't know,
maybe Facebook and Instagram or Instagram.
I think Instagram.
And so everyone can follow you on Instagram at Jess Ross underscore R.E.
And follow you.
You've got some amazing content on there and stay in touch with you.
But I love to ask all guests this on the reveal podcast.
What is the one that's not going to be as bad as big?
You already revealed.
What is the one thing that you're really looking to attract to you this year?
Is it customers in Myrtle Beach?
Is it more agents to join you and learn from how you've built an amazing career in real estate?
Who are you looking to attract and who should reach out to you?
Oh my gosh.
Great question.
All of them?
Like, I want everything.
I have some really great.
goals as far as building my team out. So I really want to help I will be taking over South Carolina.
That's one of my goals. So I want to, I'm going to do that for South Carolina. So if anyone's
interested in South Carolina in general in real estate, let me know whether it's buying,
selling, or joining. I'm all for it. I love it. That sounds like a great concoction not to use.
Everything. So what's your favorite? Yeah, what's your favorite cocktail or do you even drink or?
So I started the 75 hard with it then in Brazil.
So I haven't.
I've been drank in about two months.
But just a mingleau ultra, that's my thing.
I like to just want to make a little ultra.
That sounds like the $2 mudline.
That's more what style?
I'm a medello especial, but I can't drink beer either.
I can't continue to get healthier and less inflamed and all those things.
But I love beer.
Yeah, that's it.
That beer is it.
And it was a tough one to go.
Now that it's getting warmer, it's going to be a little more tough.
But we're going to get a real tough.
We're going to sit together on the next.
What's your, so what are you drinking, though, healthy wise?
What are you drinking?
Water.
A gallon of water every day.
Amazing.
Is that amazing?
Like, water is.
Are you?
It's, I've never been a water drinker ever.
I have sweet tea fanatic.
I would drink a gallon of sweet tea a day.
And with little bultures at nighttime.
But now it's just a gallon of water.
And it's insane.
Most people would know that it's good for you.
But me, I was like, you know, gross.
water, but now I'm going to wear out. When I travel, it's amazing instead of having that cocktail
in the plane or like at the airport or in whatever at night and you drink water, it's amazing how
much less tired you are. It's swollen. It's crazy. He feels his own ones better. Who would have
