trying to figure it all out before I launched. And that's not really the play. You know, it's when you
step out in faith, then, you know, remember the tax collector, Matthew, and God just says,
Jesus came to him and say, hey, follow me. He didn't tell him how he was going to be compensated.
He didn't give him his, you know, here's my, here's my package. He didn't even make an irresistible
offer. He didn't even come up with an offer. He didn't even come up with an offer.
He's like, dude, you know, you follow me, man, you know. Peter, he says, follow me and I teach you to become a fisher of men. He's asking people to leave their livelihood, their profession, to follow him. And he's not even making an irresistible option. Like, well, what's the compensation plan, bro? How much are you going to pay me for this? You know, what's my package? You know, it's not. You know, we'll get to that later. For now, I just want you to follow me. Okay.
it's really quite odd, but that's just how God operates.
Let's keep looking at this.
Welcome to the Success with Listings podcast, where we help you get success in the real estate game, the easy way.
Now you can get off the roller coaster of Feast and Famine and out of the rat race of competing with every other agent in town.
Hi, I'm Nollie Williams.
I took over a thousand listings during my first 10 years from the real estate game,
and in this podcast, I show you how to have success with listeners.
Let's go. All right. So stepping into leadership and choosing your path. That's what I want to talk to you about. I did a post on that this morning. So if you go back into the inner circle, you'll see the full post on this. But this is just sort of like the snippets, the tidbits. Three, three ideas I want to lead you with. Leadership starts with stewardship. So before leadership is platform, title, or influence, it is stewardship. Okay. So, so.
with me, you know, now I have a platform God has given a title, influence, all that kind of stuff.
But that's not what I started off with, and nor did I even think it would be.
So here's what you want to ask yourself, what has God already put in my hand?
What have I learned?
What have I lived through?
We talked a little bit about that this morning.
And what problem am I equipped to solve?
Ask yourself that.
And the main point is you don't have to invent your life.
lane. Often your land begins with what God has already entrusted you with. Okay. So you just look back and
don't overcomplicate this. Please. Your audience will tell you what it is that they need. That was,
that was my problem was that I was kind of overcomplicating things where I was trying to,
I was trying to figure it all out before I launched. And that's not really the play. You know,
it's when you step out in faith, then, you know, remember the tax collector, Matthew,
and God just says, Jesus came to him and said, hey, follow me.
He didn't tell him how he was going to be compensated.
He didn't give him his, you know, here's my package.
He didn't even make an irresistible offer.
He didn't even come up with an offer.
He's like, dude, you know, you follow me, man.
you know, Peter, he says, follow me and I teach you to become a fisher of men.
He's asking people to leave their livelihood, their profession to follow him, and he's not even
making an irresistible offer.
Like, well, what's the compensation plan, bro?
How much are you going to pay me for this?
You know, what's my package?
You know, it's not.
You know, we'll get to that later.
For now, I just want you to follow me.
Okay.
It's really, it's really quite odd, but that's just how God.
operate. Let's keep looking at this. So you don't need perfect clarity, but you do need a lane.
Okay. So a lot of times my students will stay stuck because they're trying to pick the perfect
niche. And I've seen this is what I keep seeing with you guys. It happened with me as well.
The goal is not perfection. The goal is movement. And the main point here is that your lane is not a prison.
I want you to kind of understand this because this is what I didn't understand early on.
Your lane is not a prison.
It's a front door that people walk through to understand who you are and how you help.
Okay.
Your lane, write that down.
Your lane is not a prison.
Okay.
And I'll explain to you what that means.
You can still teach other things.
You can still grow.
You can still expand.
But you must choose a lane if you want to lead clearly.
Okay.
Now, if you think about that for a minute, because whenever I think about, okay, my lane is listings.
That's what I teach.
But what I really wanted to teach people is mindset, because I feel like if you could change the way you think, you can change what it is that you believe, which can change what you have.
But I couldn't lead with that because nobody, like people don't start off wanting to change their mind, you know.
Nobody wants to buy that package.
But they do want to know how to generate more leads.
So in the context of your main offer, whatever it is that you feel like God has called you to help people with, you can teach whatever it is you want.
Okay.
Don't misunderstand that.
You can teach, you know, 20, 15, 10, 12 different things.
Okay.
But you have to lead with something.
Okay.
That's how you attract your tribe.
Right.
Your vibe attracts your tribe.
So you have to pick.
I remember I had a coach, Steve.
And he would always tell me, he said, Nali, you got to pick something.
I was like, man, but I do all these things, bro.
How can I just pick one?
He's like, dude, you're in the ice cream line, pick a flavor.
Okay.
And move on.
Get out of line.
Pay and move on.
You got to pick.
Okay.
And then, but it doesn't mean you can't change later.
You can't morph into something else.
Okay.
So I started off teaching listings.
Now I'm more into leadership.
I'm into leverage.
I'm into a lot of things.
But so don't think that it's got to.
become a prison because you pick a lane. But you do have to pick. Very, very important.
And a lot of times for people like Treva, it's very hard to pick because, especially when you're
good at a lot of things and when you over analyze. It's hard to pick something. Like one thing,
like I don't want to be, I don't want to be pigeonhole. You won't be. Trust me. You just have to
lead with something and then you can layer it with everything else. So then the final thing that I want to share
with you guys around this.
So number one, it's going to start with stewardship, okay?
And then it's going to go, you don't need perfect clarity, okay, but you do need a lane.
And then Christ-centered leadership requires courage to choose.
Okay, it really, it required a lot of courage for me to abandon my real estate career,
which is very lucrative, to go into what I felt like God was calling me to do,
which is to help people like you and in return people like me because every time that I help you,
it helps me. So leadership requires faith. It requires movement. And it requires being willing to
take the next step before you have the full blueprint. I want you perfectionist to hear this.
Okay. This is me. All right. I want to have the whole plan laid out before I make the step.
And that's not how God operates. Unfortunately, it's just not the way it is.
So the main point is you do not need to know everything before you begin.
You just need enough clarity to move in the direction God's leading you.
That's it.
This is the direction that God is leading you in.
That's all the clarity you need.
So closing, here's the closing challenge for you.
What problem do I feel called to help people solve?
which lane best fits my wiring in this season of my life and what am I willing to choose
and begin building now?
Okay.
Like Stephanie's already found her lane.
So I'm super excited when somebody finds their lane and they're just in it.
Okay.
But these are the three challenge questions that I have for you.
And finally, you don't need perfect certainty.
you just need to you need forward motion uh pick a lane pick your lane step into leadership and trust
god with the unfolding of it that's what that's the message that i have for you today because uh you know
i spent many i spent time stuck but i didn't spend a lot of time stat okay where god guides we know
that he provides and if he's calling you to something don't worry about how he's going to do it it's
want to get done. Well, thanks so much for tuning in to this episode of the Success With Listings
