Starting point is 00:00:01 Elevate your life. Elevate your business. Welcome to the elevated results podcast. It's better to be in a peak state mind, body, and soul while you're waiting for an opportunity versus waiting for an opportunity and then becoming prepared mind, body, and soul. Because if you're waiting for that opportunity to present itself, by the time it arrives, you're not going to be ready and you're going to have missed that opportunity.
Starting point is 00:00:34 So why would you wait? Why would you wait being in peak state? Why would you wait working towards their physical and mental health? Start focusing on being ready so that when that opportunity arises, you're ready to take action. Boom, you can execute because you're in alignment, mind, body, and soul, ready to take action, ready for that opportunity. When we look at it like you're training maybe for a physical goal of a marathon, pushing yourself to accomplish something physically, or maybe you're waiting to make a certain sports team.
Starting point is 00:01:04 While you're sitting there waiting for that opportunity to get the call, your opponent is already training. They're already doing the work behind the scenes. It's just like that in business. Don't sit back and wait because while you're sitting and waiting, there's someone else out there doing the work behind the scenes that's ready to take that opportunity that's ready to execute when that opportunity shows up. So we get rewarded in public for the work that we do in private. Michael Jordan always said that it was the work in between that was harder. It was the training that was hard. Showing up on game day was easy. That's just what the public saw that it looked easy for him. But it's because all of the work and all of the training he did behind the scenes.
Starting point is 00:01:45 So it's just like that in our business. We work harder on ourselves and we work on our business because we're always focusing on becoming that version of ourselves. We're always staying in that state of readiness to take action. So we really need to focus on being in that state by being in a peak state mind, body, and soul. So there's simple steps that you can take so that you're always in that state of readiness. So it starts with working out. How can you expect to be in physical alignment if you're not taking care of yourself? So physically do something that ignites that energy within you, which is your physiology. Because we know that's the quickest way to change your state is by moving your body. When you wake up in the morning, I know myself, it's a huge piece for me to be
Starting point is 00:02:29 able to get out the door and just move my body. Now after having a baby, my workouts look a little bit different than they used to. I used to wake up, go straight to yoga, go straight to spin, go straight to a run or go to CrossFit or something where I'd have that time to physically just push myself. Now it starts some mornings when I have Indy with me. It's yoga in the morning and then we go for a hike and I put her on my back. But I still make sure that it's a part of my ritual of moving my body because it changes my physiology. It's the quickest way to change your state when you're feeling shitty, you have low energy, and then you go for a walk or you go for a run or you just do something in the gym, you feel better. Can you think of a time where you notice that, that you were stuck on the
Starting point is 00:03:10 couch, you didn't want to get up? But the second you did and you got to the gym, that workout energized you. You felt way better. You felt way better mentally. It's because it's tied together. Our physiology is the quickest way to change your state. So if you want to change the way you feel, change your physiology, go do something, physically move your body change. And then that's the power of your physical alignment, being in a state of readiness physically. But then when it comes to your mindset, there's simple tools and strategies, which we talk about often, that you can do to keep your mindset. So when that opportunity comes, you already believe in yourself, that you already know that you're mentally capable of accomplishing whatever it is, that you're
Starting point is 00:03:54 confident that you're ready to take action because you believe in yourself because you've been doing that inner work. You've been working on healing yourself. You've been working on letting go of those limiting beliefs that are deep rooted within you that are holding you back, that are anchoring you because we all have beliefs. Well, we're born. We're born as blank canvases, but limiting beliefs are passed on to us. Some of them aren't even our own beliefs, but they're passed on to us from experiences through family, different conditioning. We all have limiting beliefs, but it's what we choose to do with those beliefs. Are we going to let them anchor us and hold this down forever? Are we going to release them? Are we going to let them go and
Starting point is 00:04:33 not allow them to hold power over us anymore? We're going to convert those into empowering beliefs that are going to serve us to be in that mental state, to be in peak performance mentally. So when that opportunity shows up on your doorstep, you are mentally ready to take the action. So when it comes to building mental resilience. Like I said, there's so many simple tools that you can use. But let's talk about Mel Robbins. Mel Robbins is a huge motivational speaker. She's extremely inspiring because she keeps things simple. She has a best-selling author for many books and she keeps things extremely simple. The first one she did was the five-second rule. When you're hesitating and there's something that you want to accomplish but you don't feel like doing it. For one, I use this when I was first
Starting point is 00:05:23 starting to get into a routine of working out was you all we all have mental talk right when you're negotiating with yourself oh i'll just go to the gym tomorrow or all i'll just do this later it's the five four three two one rule you count back five four three two one execute i used to do that when i was trying to get out of bed to go to the gym at six a m i'm not a morning person but i did that for a while where i would tell myself okay you can stay here but then i'd count back five four three two, one, and I'd make sure my feet hit the floor, even if I didn't feel like it. But then once you do that, you start to build trust in yourself mentally to know that when you say you're going to do something, you actually mean it versus having all this narrative talking back and forth because we all have
Starting point is 00:06:08 like so many thoughts in a day. But we can control which ones we act on. We can control which ones actually lead our narrative that lead our day. So that's one simple step. The five second rule, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Love that one that Mel created. And another one is the high five habit. So the high five habit is something really simple. Again, another New York's time bestselling book by Mel Robbins is when we're feeling down on ourselves. We just maybe aren't feeling that confident or we're not feeling like we're winning. Look at yourself in the mirror and high five yourself. There is something about having a high five even when you're in a sports team where it kind of picks you up energetically. So it's high-fiving yourself in the mirror when you wake up when you feel shitty or you're seeing that
Starting point is 00:06:53 negative self-talk is bringing you down. It's what's driving your narrative through the day. Go high-five yourself. Try the high-five habit and see how it shifts your neuro pathways of how you feel. Because again, physiology is your feeling. And that's the quickest way to change your state. So you can actually physically do a change and notice how your state will change. And then the other one, she just, I haven't even got to read this book yet, but it's the let them theory and I've been utilizing it a lot lately is let them. So we do not get to control every aspect of our life or business. We're not in control of anyone else around us. We're in control of us. We're in control of how we show up. But we are not in control of everyone else's experiences.
Starting point is 00:07:37 And so when hurt people, hurt people, it's a reflection of how they're feeling. It's not a reflection of us. And so since we know that we can't control everyone, we can't control every aspect of our business, it's the theory of let that. If someone doesn't want to hang out with you, let them. If someone isn't making you a priority, let them. If someone doesn't want to work with you in your business, let them. If someone doesn't see the value in you, let them. If someone isn't making you a priority in your relationship or they're just not bringing
Starting point is 00:08:10 out the best in you anymore, let them. You can't control them. If your husband or your wife's not coming home on time for dinner or they're not living up to their expectations, let them. Why? Because we don't control them. We control us. We control the stories that we tell ourselves. And I can't tell you how many times I've been using that lately, going through some challenges, dealing with other people. And I have a high expectation for them. But I don't control them. So I've been using it a lot lately when something happens and I just think let them. Let them. And what it does
Starting point is 00:08:44 is it really just releases our expectation on them. Because then again, We need to turn our expectations into appreciations. And so although we can't control what they're doing, it's not saying we're okay with it. It's not saying we're accepting how they're treating us. It's we're letting their actions do the speaking. Because we get to control the perspective of the life that we're looking through with which lends. So that's the victim or the victor mentality. We ship the perspective.
Starting point is 00:09:12 We let them do it and we can then take the time to think about why am I even mad about that? Or does that really bother me? And half the time, it doesn't really bother you in a few minutes and you can start to let go of your own emotions enough to see their perspective, to see that you don't control them. And maybe their actions are based on something of an action that you had when you are letting your ego be in the driver's seat. So let that. Start using that. It's such a simple tool, but it really changes your perspective of letting them and letting go of other people's expectations and focusing on yourself because again that is the most important thing is showing up as the best version of
Starting point is 00:09:52 yourself working harder on yourself than you work on your business and when we start to look at those empowering beliefs that we need those are some simple tools that are going to help you to integrate building those empowering beliefs now incantations is a very very very powerful way to connect the physiology with the belief with the new empowering belief so something that was passed on to me probably from generations and generations, which I still have a limiting belief. There is a deep rooted belief within me that I work on constantly is scarcity based versus being an abundance. Is that I have a mindset that naturally comes up that there might not be enough or have to
Starting point is 00:10:35 continuously keep working to have enough money and that I'm not coming at it from a space of abundance because it's deep rooted in me. But it's a decision to become aware of that belief. So become aware of what beliefs are anchoring you that are holding you back. And then once you bring that awareness to that belief, then it's almost letting go, letting go of that control it holds over you, and then creating a new belief. So now my new belief is I'm surrounded by abundance.
Starting point is 00:11:01 Everything I need, want and desire easily flows to me. But I do it every single day, more than once a day. And now I've almost noticed I've hit a plateau with it because there is deeper rooted beliefs there. That for surface level for a while, it worked great. things started flowing, I started manifesting. But then I've hit this level where it's like I'm here and I know that there's more, but it's almost like something's like chain and letting you swim, but then you get there and then you just kind of come back down. Well, that's a deep rooted belief. So now I've noticed that, again, when you grow, you can hit that plateau. Well, you need to go to the
Starting point is 00:11:33 next level. Life is about continuously growing. It's the same with our beliefs. So now that I've noticed this belief, it is affecting my business. It's affecting my life. It's affecting different areas. So now I'm aware of that. Now I need to let it go. So think about yourself. Is there a deep root of belief within you that no longer serves you that you need to release and you need to create a new empowering belief? So now when I do my incantations, I've created more abundant incantations. And again, an incantation is an affirmation with a movement. So you're actually changing your physiology. You're changing your state while you connect to the power of that affirmation of the language. And when you connect the two, you can start encanting that new belief within your own life.
Starting point is 00:12:16 You can feel it in your body. So we have several simple steps on how you can stay in a state of readiness. So when that opportunity arises, you're ready to take the action. So again, look up Mel Robbins. The five second rule, that's a great simple tool to integrate, the high five habit, and then the let them theory. These are all three simple, simple theories. depending on what you feel and resonates with you, start integrating them.
Starting point is 00:12:46 And then incantations. That is one that has changed my life and changed my business, is create a list of disempowering beliefs, what's holding you back, what's anchoring you, what's anchoring you, what's deep rooted in your psyche that you didn't even know was there. Just start to become aware of those limiting beliefs and then create a new belief, create a new empowering belief and put a movement with it that makes you feel that way. So I know when I put my hands over my head and bring them to my heart, that I feel that abundance of the universe and I bring it in. And that changes the way I think about abundance because you feel it in your body. So go take the actions. Do the work behind the scenes. Stay in that state of
Starting point is 00:13:25 readiness, mind, body, and soul. Do the work and you will be rewarded in public for the work that you do.
