Elevate your life. Elevate your business. Welcome to the Elevated Results podcast. Welcome to the Elevated Results
podcast. I am Tneal-Egger, your host. And our topic today is all about stepping into alignment and
finding balance. So this is something that a lot of hardworking business people often bring up,
that they have no balance in their life. It's all work. That's all they focus on. Strictly business, right?
well we're going to learn how to leverage balancing everything so that you're in spiritual alignment
because when you're in alignment your business flows better so much like last week when we talked
about business as a spiritual game this is the same topic except for it's stepping into alignment
so everybody has a different sense of alignment because everybody is unique and different
so something that really resonates with me that fulfills me that energizes me might be different
than something that ignites that purpose, that passion, that energy within you.
So it's all about unlocking your infinite potential, and it's all about stepping into alignment
and finding balance for what that means to you.
So for me, what balance looks like is really being able to balance that yin and that yang energy.
So much like many business owners, when you are starting into business, you're in that
grind mode.
You know when you start out, you have to be laser focused on what your outcome is,
on what you want to achieve in your business, and you have to stay dedicated to it. So often that means
you're not going out with your friends anymore. You're making it a priority and you're focusing on your
business. And so by really building your business and making that your main focus, that's how you'll
start to see some of the most successful people gain traction and break through barriers to become
successful in their business is because they got completely focused. That was their main priority,
and they took action. When I first started in the real estate industry, I did the same thing. I was
21 years old. All my friends were partying, doing fun things, traveling, and I locked myself in.
I set myself what my goal was that year. And I made sure that that's the only thing I focused on.
I got laser focused. But what that meant is I fell out of balance because I wasn't taking care of
myself. I wasn't working out. I wasn't fueling myself. I was just burning myself out.
Going after my goal, that was the only thing that was fueling me was the drive, that purpose.
And knowing that I wanted to accomplish the goal, that's what drove.
me, but I wasn't in alignment. So it took years to figure out what balance meant for me and what that
looked like. And when I'm balanced, my business is balanced. Everything in my life is in alignment.
Everything flows much easier because we are harnessing the power of the universe through the
universal guidance system. And so when they talk about manifestation and really turning your
dreams into your reality, this isn't new. There are proven strategies that have been proven by
many successful mentors, teachers before us, successful authors. And when I was a kid, I used to
listen to The Secret. My dad always had the secret on when we, this is how old I was. It was on a CD
player. And we would listen to it when we were driving was the secret. And I always imagined that if I
wanted to accomplish something or if I had a dream or something I wanted to manifest, I just had to
ultimately, I'd get a genie would pop up, it would appear, and I'd have three wishes.
Well, as I've explored through many self-development and I started looking at the education,
I realized that's not true.
You actually have to do the work.
You can manifest things through the power of your mind and there's a formula you can use,
but you actually have to put in the work.
It's not just the genies that are going to pop out.
You have to do the work.
So that all starts with alignment because if you're not in alignment, your thoughts
aren't in alignment.
You are not in alignment physically, mentally and spiritually, which means the universe
can't flow through you the way that it's.
going to if you are in alignment with yourself and in spiritual alignment. So whether you're listening
to this in your spiritual or you're not, I'm hoping you find some value out of this because essentially
when you think back to some of the most successful times in your life or maybe there's a time in
your life where you completely crushed a goal, something you wanted to achieve, you didn't know
how you were going to do it, but you still accomplished it. I want you to look back to that and
really ask yourself, how did you do it? What was that?
secret sauce that helped you to get there. What pushed you to accomplish that goal? And on an
unconscious level, even if you don't think you're spiritual, you probably use some kind of outside higher
power to push you when the times got hard. Because when you're in entrepreneurship or you're starting a
business, it's not easy. Just like if you're going to run a marathon, it's not easy. Good things aren't
easy. Easy things make you a weak person. If you do hard things, you become strong and you
can accomplish everything. So that is again to people that are successful in business when I was
younger, I used to look at them and think, how are they so successful? They must be some kind of spiritual,
like some kind of superhuman to be able to accomplish that. When if you start to explore it,
you realize everyone is just human. We're all human. We have something in common. But the difference
between people that leverage alignment in spiritual powers or an outside source are people that have
push themselves to those limits to unleashing their potential. Because they say when you're actually
tired, so say if you're a runner and you're running a marathon, they say if you're tired,
when you're about to give up, you've only actually hit 10% of what you're physically capable of.
So that means that your mind will give up way before you physically will give up. So just a
couple weeks ago, I ran a half marathon. And I'm not sharing this to be like, wow, I'm so
proud of myself. It's more so because I just had a baby eight months ago. I'm not in the best
physical shape of my life. If anything, I'm the heaviest I've ever been, probably the most out of
shape I've ever been in my life. But when we were driving back home for Christmas, I seen that there
was a hypotheric marathon. And my husband decided we need to sign up for this. And I signed up for it
because what they say when you're setting a goal is the timeline. You need to pick a timeline of when
you want to accomplish something.
Because if you say you're just going to, one day I'm going to run a marathon,
one day I'm going to run, do this, well, that one day might never come, right?
You keep pushing it off.
It's easy to make the excuse.
But when you lock in the date, you schedule it, you commit to it, then you can work your
way backwards and you can begin to progress towards achieving that goal.
So I know that I want to get in better shape.
I want to get back to my body that I had before I had my daughter.
I want to feel physically fit the way I used to.
And I want to see it in the mirror too.
I want to see exactly all of my work.
I want to see it come into the physical form.
So I decided we signed up for this half marathon.
I have probably, honestly, only ran about six, maybe seven times in a span of two years.
I used to run before this, but I haven't been running because I was expecting that I
have my daughter.
And to be honest, it just wasn't a priority to me anymore.
But then when I decided that I was going to do this hypothermic half marathon, I signed up
for it.
it was six weeks away and we thought it's okay we have six weeks we have time to train we'll get in peak
performance we'll crush this run it'll be fine well 10 days before the run i've realized i've maybe ran twice
and i'm not in good running shape but i push myself the furthest i would run with my dogs was about
six kilometers and i was hurting but i decided i don't care i'm going to show up and i'm going to do it
anyway because there's no such thing as failure failure is only feedback but at the same time if you
don't try, that's the only time you can fail. So what's the worst that happens? I have to walk it.
What's the worst that happened? That it's not the time that I want, but I'm still going to accomplish
the goal. So I did it anyways. And I showed up. We're late. I'm in a panic. I had to pee. I hadn't
ran like forever. My husband and my daughter were with us. And then all of a sudden,
they shot off the gun to start. And I was, my initial plan was I was going to run, walk with my husband.
We were going to go together. But as soon as the gun went, I looked at him and I was like, I'm gone.
and I took off running, had to pee so bad, but I kept going anyways.
And I did it to prove to myself that it's the power of the mind,
that even though physically I am not an alignment, I can push myself.
I can tap into a higher power.
I can utilize the alignment spiritually and utilize that to push me mentally to then
manifest physically.
So I ran and I kept negotiating with myself the entire way.
I had no strategy on how I was going to do it.
I just showed up and knew.
going to do it. And I was just going to do the best I could. And so every kilometer I kept telling
myself, okay, if you run five, you can walk one. Run five, walk one. And then I'd get to the five K mark and I
just thought, okay, you can get to six. Just keep pushing to six. Then six kilometers would come.
Well, then I would negotiate with myself and say, okay, you can make it to seven. Keep going. And I did that
all the way until I hit the 21 kilometer mark. So I negotiated with myself for about two and a half hours.
And then there was an older guy that was running and we kept pace with each other. And we kept pace with
each other. And at one point, I was about two kilometers till the finish line. He was about to pass me
and he caught up to me. And I thought to myself, there is no way I'm letting this older guy beat me.
And I just locked in. I dialed in focus and physically, I just kept doing it because mentally I
had already committed to it. So even though I wasn't in alignment in every other aspect,
it's times in your life when you can pull from each other, right? It's really hard to be balanced at all
times in your life. So Tony Robbins always talks about the wheel of life. So there's different
categories in your life. We all play different roles. And now that I'm a mother, I truly understand
the identity of having different roles. It can be hard to step into one role and then step into the other
role. So I am a businesswoman and I love being in that role, but then to come home and know that I want to be
a mother and I want to be all these things, a friend, a daughter, wife. I want to step into these
different roles and I want to do them all really well. I want to show up as my highest self
in every role but it can be really hard because you need to learn how to step into one
and then step back into the other. So ultimately what Tony teaches through the wheel of life
it's about bringing each of those roles, each of those categories within your life into
alignment. So this has probably happened to you at one point. If you notice maybe at one point in
your life your business you're just completely crushing it like when I started to
real estate industry, my business was great, but my relationships were horrible. I didn't really
have any good friendships at the time. I put my then-boyfriend at the time. He was on the back burner,
my family. I just worked. That was my number one priority. Everything else completely out of balance,
completely out of alignment. And then maybe the next couple years when I hit a burnout, I realized,
you know what, I need to focus on other areas of my life, like my spirituality, like my physical body,
like my relationships.
And so then my focus shifted into something else.
Well, then my business wasn't the way that it used to.
So then I still wasn't balanced.
But that's probably happened to you in your life.
If you've noticed one area, you're crushing it
and the other area is suffering.
So it really is an art of learning how to try to bring them all forward.
And I'd be lying if I said I already know how to do that
because truthfully, it's a work.
It's an everyday in progress.
But it's finding what works for you.
So we all have a different blueprint.
We all have a different perspective on what our life is supposed to be like or what we want our life to look like.
And so if that's not in alignment with where we are right now, then we suffer.
So it's figuring out what it is that you want, where you are now, and figure out what that alignment or what that balance looks like to you in your life.
So people always would say like the last couple of years, it looks like you have such a good work-life balance.
You know what?
For a while I did.
I worked really hard at getting it so that I could have everything in balance.
But even then, some things do struggle, right?
Like one area does great.
The other area has room to improve.
But it is all about being in alignment with yourself.
So what works for your friend or your family might not be what works for you
because it's not about what makes them an alignment.
It's about what makes you be in alignment with who you truly are.
And so when we are business owners, it's the same thing.
We are part of the business.
They need to be in balance.
They need to be in alignment as well.
And I always think of the analogy of if you're going to go for a road trip, you need to fill up your car.
You need to make sure that you're giving your car an oil change, that you're fueling up your car with good premium fuel,
and that you're doing the same thing for your body, because our bodies are like our car.
They're our vessel of how we're going to get from where we are to where we're going and where we want to be.
So it's really about starting to take care of yourself.
And that's why they say that quote, take better care of yourself and work harder on yourself than you work on your business.
And the reason why that is is because if you're in alignment, you're going to make sure your business is in alignment.
So back in 2014, when I wasn't in alignment, my business was in alignment, but then I wasn't in alignment, well then shortly after I hit a burnout, nothing was in alignment.
So now as I move forward, it's figuring out a way to have everything in alignment. And so that's where I always get really curious on success leaves clues.
What do other successful people do?
how did they step into alignment? How did they balance everything? Because when I look at someone like
my mentor, Tony Robbins, look at how many businesses he has. How does he balance all of that,
still show up and be a great husband and a dad and have the time to give back to his nonprofits
and everything that he does in the world? Or we can look at other really successful people like
Ed Millette, David Goggins, there's so many other people that are super successful. And they're
balance looks different than someone else's. So when I think about David Goggins, I think that guy is
crazy. He's super inspiring. But the stuff he does to himself, it's wild, right? He doesn't have balance.
And that's because that's not who he is. He doesn't want it, right? Me personally, I want balance.
I want to feel an alignment in that manner. We just look at it in a different way. For me,
when I'm spiritually aligned, when I feel physically,
aligned, mentally aligned, everything flows better. That's when I'm in a flow state. That's when I can
manifest things into my reality is when I'm in that alignment. So for me, it really comes down to the
rituals of how I step into my highest self every morning. And you hear a lot of successful people
say that when they talk about how you start your morning ritual, it'll set the pace for your
entire day. Right? We all have a different ritual. So what's your ritual? What do you do in the morning
to prime yourself to become the best version of yourself. I don't do it every morning, if I'm being
honest. I'm not the best version of me when I wake up. You have to create that. You have to create a
routine, a ritual that's going to allow you to step into alignment so that you're ready to take on
your day. So me, when I wake up and I get to tap into spirit into my higher self, it looks like a
meditation, doing some incantations, and I always have to do a few sunsows because I'm naturally, I overanalyze
everything. I think about everything. I'm in my mindset versus really starting to flow and connecting
everything so that I am in alignment. And once I do that, I can feel that I step into my power
because now I'm not just like operating from my mind and my body and my heart are in alignment. Everything's
connected through the power of breath. So pranayama, they say that it's called your life force,
which is your breath. So when you think about when you went through something hard in your life or you've been
able to overcome something. It always comes down to the power of your breath. You have to breathe
through it. Like when you're birthing a baby, it comes down to your breath. When you're having a hard time
and something's going on physically in your world, something external, it's really tapping into
the power of your breath. Or when you look at some of the professional athletes, it's because
they've learned how to tune into the power of their breath, that life force. Because without breath,
we don't live and then we can't take the actions that we need to or that we want to so it comes down to
harnessing your breath stepping into alignment with it and then taking action so i do invite you to ask yourself
what are those rituals that you do that allow you to step into alignment and maybe you haven't
figured that out yet that's where again you don't have to do this alone we're in this together we get
to learn from each other that's the power of co-e elevation not just one person knows the answer
we learn it from somewhere.
This is the power of mastermining,
surrounding yourself with people that are going to help you to find
what's going to elevate you.
That's going to push you to step into alignment
and step into your highest and best self.
And so for myself,
something that's also really important is the power of community.
So you can either be in a community that drains you
where you show up somewhere and right when you leave,
you feel like,
I just don't really like even the way I said things
or the person, the version of me that I showed up as.
So lately I've been really noticing how much I have grown as a person and I notice it through metrics of going back to old environments where I used to be or being around people in my family that I used to be around all the time.
And as we got older, we grew apart. We weren't around each other all the time because I no longer had to live at home, things like that.
But over the last couple weeks, I've really noticed I've been stepping back into some of those old environments where old patterns would start to rise.
I'd hang out with some friends and we'd be gossiping, things that I used to do that I don't really
align with me anymore.
And I would notice how my energy, right when I leave, I just feel like, I just don't feel like
in alignment with myself anymore.
The things I was saying, that's not the version of me that I want to be.
That's the old version of me.
There's other things I used to do.
That's not who I am anymore.
I'm at a different vibration.
And it's not that I don't love those people because I do.
It's just I don't really love who I am when I'm around them.
because I'm not in alignment with who I am anymore. I've grown. And that's in life. We're either
retracting or growing, we're moving forward or we're going backwards. And so I just felt like I stepped
back into that that version of me that I worked so hard on breaking old patterns to become a higher
version of myself. And instead of looking at it and feeling like, oh, I looked at it and thought,
hey, this is really amazing that you've actually noticed that this is how you've changed. This is how
you've grown and you can use this as a metric. So it's the environment, who you surround yourself
with. So if I know that I want to continue being that highest and best version of me, it's who are
the people that I need to co-elevate with? Who are the people I need to surround myself with?
What are the environments that are going to make me be that version? And it is. It's sometimes you
have to go back to realizing what you don't want first or what doesn't feel right energetically,
what makes you feel out of alignment first to figure out what it does feel like to be in alignment.
because often we figure out what we don't want first and that's totally okay we just need to own it
and then go find what it is that you do want notice where your energy rises notice where you feel in
alignment so myself when we created this idea of co-elevation and really being in a community it's
really important for me to surround myself with spiritual people or people that are passionate about
business people that when we have conversations I can feel that I'm ignited and I'm in a flow state
I can feel that there's energy everywhere, and I'm in this version of me that I'm so excited,
and I really want to learn more about this version of her, and I want to see what will unfold.
And that's the power of stepping into and growing into that higher self.
But it comes with your environment and who you surround yourself with.
And so when you look at, and there's so many great stories about people that came from absolutely nothing,
they had horrible upbringings, it was a lot of pain growing up, but they can somehow turn it
into their power. And you can see that two people possibly had the exact same environment.
They surrounded themselves as the exact same people. And they totally turned out two different lives.
It's because of the power of the mind. So maybe you physically can't change your environment right now.
Maybe you can't change everyone you're around right now. But what can you change? Your perception to it,
your perspective to it. So instead of letting it drain you, look around and think, okay,
maybe this isn't the ideal house I want. This isn't the ideal job I want. This isn't the ideal
environment that I want to surround myself in. But how can this help me to grow to get into that
environment I want to be? How can I cultivate this to be not a pain but a power? How can I utilize
this to push myself? And that's where it often is from discomfort where you're going to make that
change. And Tony refers to as a threshold because often when you're in a space and the discomfort
is bearable, you're not going to make the change. But when it comes to a point where you can no
longer stay where you are because it's too uncomfortable to stay there, that is when you grow.
Now, one thing that always resonated with me was, and it was the little tools that really
helped me to really gain control of my mindset. Now, I did not create these. I was taught
these from successful mentors before me. And it all comes down to utilizing these tools and
strategies to harness the power of your mind to shift your perspective. Because again, success at
anything is 80% your mindset. So utilizing these simple, simple tools such as a primary question or
shifting your perspective. So one thing looks like, why is this happening to me to how is this
happening for me? And so looking at these environment maybe you're in or this uncomfortable
situation you're in and you can look at it and you can give it a new meaning. So I,
I started looking at it anytime I felt really uncomfortable.
And I don't know if you have probably felt this in your life at some point, but you're going
through something and it's really, you don't want to go through it.
Something horrible is happening maybe in your business, your personal life, something around
you, you just feel uncomfortable.
You get this pit in your stomach, like the feeling of the pit in your stomach, like you know
something bad's going to happen and you just don't want to go through it.
And it's like you've been there before and you want to avoid it at all.
costs. Well, you can use the power of your mind to think, okay, that uncomfortable feeling,
I started thinking of this means I'm growing. This is just a growing pain. Okay, I can get through
this because I'm just growing. And I tell myself that over and over again, every time I go to that
really uncomfortable feeling, or when I was in a feeling, when I was outside of my comfort zone,
doing something in business, like, I didn't want to go door knock, I didn't want to pick up the phone,
I didn't feel comfortable. I would look at it and think, okay, this is a growing pain. This
means that I'm growing into the version of me that I need to be. Do you know how much easier it got to do
the things that were uncomfortable? Because you looked at it differently. So think about something in
your life right now that you've been avoiding. That's uncomfortable. But deep down, you know, if you do it,
you're going to step into alignment with being that higher best version of yourself, the version of you
that's needed to accomplish your dreams and goals. I want you to think, what is it that you're avoiding?
Why are you avoiding it? What's holding you back? First, you can look at it like you can either run
away from fear and it's going to chase you, much like if you were running away and a dog was chasing
you, the dog is going to chase you. But if you turn around, you look at the dog, you acknowledge it,
it's probably going to come up to you and let you pet it. It's the same thing with what you're avoiding.
Why are you avoiding it? What are you afraid of? Right. And how can you really let that go?
Because if you let that go and you take a step into being that higher version of yourself,
how are you going to step into alignment with who you're meant to be? And if you do that,
how does that mean that your business is going to step into alignment?
How is everything going to balance out if you can really just honor that and step into it?
So stop being afraid and look at it in a different way.
It doesn't mean that you're not afraid to do it, it's just harnessing a tool that's going to help you to overcome it.
And you can utilize it instead of it using you.
Use the fear instead of letting the fear use you.
So you can use these as metrics to figure out what's out of alignment in your business, in your life, and all these roles.
and you can really figure out what does a balanced lifestyle look like for me?
What does alignment look like for me in your business and your personal life?
What do you want that to look like?
And envision it and figure out what that ideal situation.
What does that vision look like for you?
And then you can start working towards it.
And it just takes with one step.
It's just one step.
And the first step starts with your mindset.
It's the power of shifting your perception.
It's the power of deciding to change your environment.
And that environment could be something like instead of listening to music your whole drive today,
you decided to listen to something that's self-development.
That's something that's going to educate you or help you grow or help you co-elevate to feel like
