You're listening to No Broke Months for Salespeople Podcast.
In this episode of the No Broke Months for Salespeople podcast, Dan Rochon leads a high-impact coaching session
on what truly separates million-dollar producers from agents who stay stuck in struggle.
He breaks down the difference between strategy and tactics.
The real reasons agents fail to hit their goals and the habits that create consistent and predictable income.
Dan also shares his personal journey of setting bold goals and the daily disciplines that turned everything around.
And when I recognize that it's not an either-or proposition, it's a both-and-proposition, then you can get more out of life and you can be able to
achieve both. Be a freaking amazing dad, husband, partner, son, brother, whatever it is, whoever you are, and one does not have to negate the other.
Hello, everybody.
Somebody tell me something good at it.
Michelle, Rachel, Kelly, Kane, Leslie Raymert.
Kelly, good morning.
Good morning, Dan.
My daughter had a first basketball game with her private school team and she absolutely killed it.
But did she have fun?
No.
No, she didn't actually.
She destroyed them.
Yeah, her coach told her to stop scoring points to pass the ball and to not steal the ball on defense.
So my daughter got very upset completely.
like did not respond well to that.
That's an opportunity.
Everything's an opportunity.
What else?
Who's got something?
Tell us something good.
I want to get you guys warmed up and talking because today's going to be interactive.
Just preparing you for that.
Johnny Root, good morning.
Michelle, good morning.
I already said hi to you.
If you guys have your videos, I'd love to see your beautiful faces.
Today's going to be interactive.
Let's hear one more or something good.
And then I'm going to be asking you some questions.
So this is Michelle.
And something good for me today is that my husband unexpectedly has the day off.
and he's been working out of town a lot over the last three months.
So we're still sitting around in our house clothes, having coffee and watching the news.
And I suddenly realized it was 9 o'clock.
So I wanted to join you guys.
But, yeah, it's going to be a great day.
You had a piece of paper and a pen, if you could please.
And thank you.
I'm going to ask you some questions.
I'm going to ask for you to share because when you share, it will inspire other people to share as well.
You guys get with that?
All right.
So first of all, I want to remind you about maybe six months ago or so,
we went through an exercise on creating a design in our lives, which was done by Napoleon Hill from
Think and Grow Rich. And it's something that we had put together and then really just, you know,
working on reading that out loud to ourselves before we go to sleep and we wake up in the morning
and believing it. Okay. And mine was that I will make $300,000 a month by October 2025.
And to be able to do that, I will meet two times a day with either of our $300,000.
a first-time buyer, first-time seller, or somebody to coach or to a real estate agent to help in
some capacity. And that is my intention. And I see what that's going to do for me and for my legacy
and for my life. And I see that before I'm 55 years old, I'll be in a position that I've made
enough money to last me more than the rest of my lifetime. And I certainly will continue working
at that point, yet having that choice will make a difference for me. And so I wrote that down
And I read that to myself a few times today.
And since I did that maybe five, six months ago, it's been sporadic.
But I'm realizing I'm averaging around seven appointments a week with either first-time buyer-seller or with somebody to coach or to help.
And so that's an example of I'm not yet hitting my goals.
And I will continue to focus on hitting that goal.
Just like anybody else, what gets in my way, life, distractions, family, issues with kids.
Kid, in my case, you know, health, getting sick.
Like all the same things, right?
We all have that.
And so what I recognize is that we can let other stuff happen and say, well, I can't do this because, right?
I can't do this because I have to be at my daughter's basketball game.
It's just picking Kelly because he just shared that, right?
And should you be at your daughter's basketball game?
Absolutely.
Should you be at your daughter's basketball game and focusing on that?
Yes, absolutely, right?
But does that negate the ability for Kelly as he's been doing to be able to also do whatever it is that he's intending to do?
do in business, right? So what I recognize is oftentimes when I'm coaching somebody, mentoring or leading
or whatever the case may be, is that there's a reason, and the focus becomes more on the reason
rather than the result. And the dynamic is that it feels like it can be either one or the other
rather than both. And when I recognize that it's not an either-or proposition, it's a both-and
proposition, then you can get more out of life and you can be able to achieve. And you can be able to
She both be a freaking amazing dad, husband, partner, son, brother, whatever it is, whoever you are, and one does not have to negate the other.
Hey, salesperson, are you struggling to close deals or struggling to gain trust?
Or are you struggling to create consistent and predictable income?
I'm Dan Rocheon.
And I've seen it all.

And that's why I created the consistent, predictable income.

on that as a prospect as a starting point.
What do you guys got?
That you can have both health and happiness in the family, fitness, and a successful business.
Somebody gets sick in your family.
You can care for them.
And, oh, my goodness, gracious.
Rachel is the role model for this, by the way.
And I know it's not perfect, right?
And I know that, you know, it's a struggle.
I get that.
But you have to plan it.
Yeah.
You have to make the time to spend time with your family.
you have to make the time to be dedicated to your career.
And sometimes it can't be planned, right?
Because sometimes, you know, you have a doctor's appointment you have to go to or your kid
gets sick or whatever case may be and you have to be there.
And so it's planning it.
And when things sort of sidetrack that are like more important, more of a priority and
also can't be planned for, you know, like a doctor's appointment strikes me in my mind.
Then you have to sort of shuffle.
Okay, well, Rachel, you want to share something?
I was just going to say, I think it's important.
I've learned when those things do come up is to not let it get you in that mindset of this is just not going to happen.
Like, I can't do what I wanted.
Give yourself that grace and, you know, I'm busy with other stuff, but I just get back on the wagon.
Yeah.
So if you do get distracted, it's is it distracted appropriately because something that's more important is distracting you.
And then you get back to it.
So what I hear you saying?
Right, right.
And yes.
And just don't.
the diet or something just because you messed up a few days. Don't just let it go south, get back on.
So now Rachel's talking to me. So thank you for that. I appreciate that. So you guys all
have a piece of paper out by now. So I want you to write down and then feel free to share if you'd
like to. So what is your definition of success? I'm going to give you a few minutes to think through
that. What is your definition of success? Professionally, physically, spiritually. What is your
definition of success. I'm going to go through the questions one by one and then we'll discuss
afterwards. So how long would you fail at a task before you succeed? How long would you be willing
to fail at something before you succeed? You guys want me to change the pacing out. I'll just give me
some feedback. But I want to go to the next question. So think of a time in your life that you had
success. That could be personally, professionally, could be when you're high school.
Could be when you were a kid, a younger kid, it could be any time in your life that you're like, man, I nailed that.
What were the habits that you were implementing at that time?
Think back to I had success and then think, what was I doing to create that success?
What were the things I was doing on a regular basis?
Think of a time that you were not successful.
It can be when you're a kid, when you're in high school, when you're a college, and military, if you're in the military, when I was.
the case may be, could be personally, professionally.
You had a goal and you did not achieve it.
What were the self-defeating habits that were present at the time?
In other words, what were you doing?
What were the actions you were taking or not taking?
Now look at your last two questions.
In fact, look at your last four questions.
Look at them all.
But between the last two, what were the differences between the habits that you're embracing when you succeeded
and the habits that you were or were not embracing when you did not succeed.
What's the difference between the two?
