Elevate your life. Elevate your business. Welcome to the elevated results podcast.
Welcome to the elevated results podcast. Where there is light, there's always darkness.
And that is always a constant reminder that when we're about to elevate and we're about to take the next step in our life and really move up towards our goals, there's always darkness.
Right before dawn, it's always the darkest. So it's a reminder that we have to stay.
true to our dreams and our goals when all these outside sources are going to try to pull us down
because that is the truth when we're trying to elevate and you become the light the darkness
tries to attach to you there's going to be more drama there's going to be more things falling apart
but it really is just an opportunity to know that you're on the right path to know that you're
one step closer to elevating to turn your dreams into your reality just like when you're
knocking at the door it's always the hardest in your business right before you break through
right before you make your first sale, right before the business blows up, is if you don't give up,
you have to be relentless. And it's just been a reminder for me over the last week that that is
really true, that there's always darkness where there's light. And when we step into our light,
we really have to trust in the guidance available to us in the universe and a higher power,
that we are surrounded and supported. And that just because there is darkness or things are
falling apart or things are getting challenging and hard in our business and in our life,
know that there is a source that we can lean on outside of ourselves, to know that we are right
where we're meant to be and to trust it, to surrender to it and to trust it. Mel Robbins, I'm not sure
if you're familiar with her, but she's a New York Times bestselling author, motivational speaker,
she's amazing, and she keeps things really simple. But one of her rules that she just said was
let them. I heard her say that this year. Let them. If someone doesn't want to hang out with you,
let them. What are you going to do about it? If someone doesn't want to work with you in your business,
let them. If someone doesn't honor you, respect your boundaries, or really see you for who you are and
like that you're growing, let them. If they want to stay sitting on the couch, they want to say drinking
beer when you're going to start pursuing your dreams and your goals and your business, let them.
If they're going to be jealous of you because where you're going and they're going to come out
and start being dramatic, let them. It's a reminder that no matter what happens around us,
we are in control of how we show up. We are in control of our own lives and our own actions.
and that there is a thing as jealousy because when you're on the right path it means you're doing
something right when people are looking at you and they're it means you're doing something right so
don't let the naysayers or don't let people outside of your circle or people that really want the
best for you to hold you back don't let their beliefs and their limitations hold you back
don't let it be a reflection of who you are and I think for me I've always been a very loyal
person and in life and in business and sometimes it would hurt if I'm being honest
if it would hurt sometimes if I'd see someone I knew or a past client that was going to list
their home with someone else because I wondered what did I do wrong? But you could go down a path
of thinking, why me and go into the victim mentality or you could use it as an opportunity to think,
okay, what could I do better next time? How can I learn from this? What's going to make me a better
agent or a better at my career, my business, even as a human being, what's going to make you better?
And so when these things are coming at us, it's a reminder to stay rooted. It's a reminder to stay
centered and to look at it as an opportunity, to look at it to think, how can I grow? How can I be better?
What is the lesson in it for me? And for me, I've always been an extremely loyal person.
And sometimes I've let people from my past think that I am who I was maybe 10, 20 years ago.
When I'm not that same person, I've grown, I've changed. And instead of being a people
pleaser. I'm in the era of doing what's best for me, my family, my business. And obviously,
it comes with relationships and putting people first, but at the same time, it's making sure that
you're putting yourself first. And so the people that truly don't want the best for you,
sometimes you have to let it go to allow yourself to be open to what's meant for you. Even with
your clients, if there's clients that maybe aren't in alignment with you and you take them on,
you could be really blocking that flow from the universal guidance of abundance to be attracting
the clients that are meant for you or attracting the friends that are meant for you or just people
in your life.
Energy is our most expensive currency, time and energy.
Not everyone deserves it.
And it's learning that boundary of when you can step back from it and know that your energy
is important.
Notice when you start feeling depleted or when there's drama going on around you, how
it's really affecting you.
and then reminding yourself that you can set a boundary because your energy is your energy.
And vibes don't lie.
Energy doesn't lie.
So trust your energy.
And as we really start to move through and onto this upcoming new moon and full moon, it's on July 21st.
And they're talking about how things are getting really bad before they get better.
There's the ability for us to turn into the darkness within us because we all have it within us.
and it's really bringing things to light right now.
People are acting a little bit crazy sometimes.
I just notice that there seems like there's a lot of drama going on around,
not just in my own life, but in a lot of other people's lives.
There's just things happening in business, things are shifting,
and really it's allowing us that space to go into the shadow work,
to go on the dark room where we don't want to go,
to go where we're avoiding, and look inwards,
and notice what are those lessons for us in that?
What can we learn?
How can we, instead of trying to run away from
the shadow and the darkness within us, how can we learn to harness it? How can we learn to love it?
How can we learn that there is two sides within each of us, the light and the darkness?
But which one do you want to let lead? Do you want to let the darkness lead your life in your
business, the greed, the ego? Or do you want to let the light, the best version of you, the version
of you that's needed to accomplish all your dreams and goals in your business? Which one do you want to
let lead. Which one do you want to show up as in your family and to people around you? And maybe that's
not the same person you were 10, 15 years ago. But who do you want to be today? And I know who I want to
be today. And sometimes it's a reminder that when I show up in the office or when I show up for myself,
that it's a reminder to stay true to who I want to be, not who I was, who I want to be and who I'm
becoming, the version of me that's needed to accomplish all my dreams and goals. And sometimes that
means you have to let things go. You have to let people go. You have to let old belief.
go, you have to let go of those anchors that are holding you back. They're almost those shackles
that are imprisoning you. And you have to let them go. You have to learn to release. Because once you can
release, there's space for new to take its place. And if you trust, the universe is going to allow that
prosperity, the law of abundance, everything to flow to you if you trust in your surrender.
And right now, when the world is chaotic, it can be hard sometimes to really lean into that. But when you
really just surrender, you let go, you allow an ease to flow into your life and into your business.
It's not about control anymore. It's about trusting what's the next step is. It's about just allowing
the universe or God or grace, whatever you connect to is a higher power to lead the way and know that
everything is going to work out for the best for you. It's just sometimes getting there is navigating
through really rough waters. Things are falling apart to fall together and it's a reminder of that
where there's a breakdown. There's an opportunity for a breakthrough. And so when I look at it,
like this right now and seeing what's going on in my life and in my business and just in the world
around us, it's a reminder to me. It is a reminder to me that it is the darkest before the dawn and
that you are going to break through and that I know that when I'm right here, you cannot give up.
You have to take the next step. You just got to keep going one day at a time. No matter what you're
going through, progress over perfection. Because if you take one step at a time before you know
you're going to get there, before you know what there's going to be a momentum behind you,
that's being guided by the universe or higher power that's going to push you.
It's going to allow you to start running towards your dreams and goals.
And before you know what, you're going to get to that destination,
if you can sit back, surrender, and trust, and listen to your energy.
Listen to the available guidance that is coming forth for you.
And again, we can't control other people.
We only control ourselves.
And hurt people, hurt people.
There's a lot of hurt people out there right now.
And they're unaware of what they're doing to everyone else around them.
It's just like a ripple in the ocean.
A ripple in the ocean, it starts to make an effect.
It can happen in a negative way, but it can also happen in a positive way.
That is your decision.
What are you going to do about it?
Are you going to be a ripple of positivity that's going to help the world around you?
Or do you want to be that ripple that's almost like an anchor that's going to start draining
everyone and anchoring everyone down until they drowned?
Who do you want to be in your life and in your business?
Do you want to sink or do you want to swim?
Because the decision is always ours.
It is always your decision.
what you're going to do about it.
And it can seem like a big, big thing that you have to do.
When in reality, it's just making a decision and taking a step in that direction,
trying to be better than you were yesterday.
And in business and in life, it's the same thing.
It is the same thing.
And in business, we get paid on how we solve problems.
If you're a good problem solver, you probably can make a lot of money
because there's a lot of problems out there to be solved.
So when we look at business, business is always,
you are a solution to someone's problem. And there is a lot of problems out there right now.
So how are you being a solution to your clients? How are you being a solution to the world around
you, to everybody that you know, to yourself? How are you being that solution? And how can you
start to tap into that and start to provide more value? Not only for yourself, but in your business.
Because when I look in my real estate business, and I know truly it fulfills me because I get to
help people. If I start looking at it as though, oh, I'm making money, you know what? There's an
abundance block right there. I'm not as busy because it's about me, me, me. And that's not what
it's about. It's about helping other people. It's about providing more value and you get paid on that
amount of value that you provide. So when I show up into a mindset of I get to help people, I get to do
what I love. I always notice that my business gets busier. Because I'm truly leading with the heart.
I get to help other people, which is why I love real estate.
I get to help people buy and sell.
I get to be a part of one of the most exciting and expensive purchases of their life.
And it's going through so many different things.
You help people through loss, through death, through their first love for their family,
for their expansion, for growing their first business, whatever it is.
We get to be there with people and we get to help them along the way.
Same with coaching.
And even this, I hope I'm helping someone in some way because the other day a little girl
ask me what I did for a living. And I responded, oh, I'm a realtor and I'm a coach. And then after I really
started thinking, what do I do for a living? Because I do a lot of different things. I'm a realtor.
I'm a coach. I have a podcast. I wrote a book. I'm now an author. What do I really do? What is my
purpose? My purpose is I help people. And every single business, I'm helping people.
So as I started thinking about it that night of my response, I thought, what do I do for a living?
I help people. That is truly what I do. I get to help people.
bridge the gap between business and spirituality.
I get to help people every single day.
Even with the animal rescue I'm a part of,
I get to help animals.
And that is the piece about contribution,
that every human being has different human needs
that need to be met.
And I don't know if you guys have noticed this,
but when you get to give back to someone
or something that needs you or needs your help,
it's almost more of a gift
than the person who is receiving it.
To be able to help a dog for me
is complete fulfillment.
And sometimes it's, I remember the first time I really dived into it,
and I've always been known to be the crazy dog lady who saved dogs.
I did it in high school.
I would take a dog and put it in the cab if it was a stray,
and my friends would always lie for me.
It was just a joke, but really it turned into a purpose for me,
that I felt so fulfilled because I got to help an animal in need.
And when we look at what's going on out there,
we look at the world around us.
There's a lot of people, a lot of animals that need our help.
How can we be of service?
How can we step in to being of service and a portal for the universe to flow through
for the highest good?
Because there's a lot of darkness out there right now.
You see what's going on in the news.
You see what's going on with the government.
You see what's going on in the outer world,
how people are turning against each other,
people are fighting over stupid beliefs.
There's a lot of hurting people that need our health.
help. And how do we help them? How can you help your clients? How can you help yourself? Because you've got to
help yourself first. But when you start helping yourself, you can start to pour over into everyone else.
When you are in alignment and you're energetic and you walk into a room, you can help other people. And it
doesn't always have to mean that you're smiling and you're happy. But you don't know what someone else is
going through. You don't know what just happened to them. That waitress that you sat down at the table
that was maybe a little bit grumpy, you don't know that maybe she just lost a loved one.
Maybe she's going through a divorce.
Maybe she has some huge loss that she's going through.
We don't know what other people are going through.
And I think it's a reminder to step back not and to judge.
Because we're all different.
We all go through different seasons in our life.
There's different ebbs and flows of darkness and light.
We all have that darkness and light within us, but it's our responsibility to do the shadow work.
It's our responsibility to look in those darkest.
corners within us and start to see light. Because when you can do that, you can redirect your
power. You can redirect your power if you will start looking at the darkness and see the light within it.
If you go into your life, you look into your business, and I know I've said this before, but
often what I do is I almost avoid things that sometimes I'm like, you know, if it's not going to get me
the result, I'm not going to put energy into it, I'm just going to ignore it. But then it just keeps
lingering around until I actually have to deal with it. So we all have different coping mechanisms.
We all have different things in our business and in our lives that maybe we're avoiding,
that maybe we're looking and we see the darkness there, but we're thinking, oh, it'll just go away
if I don't pay attention to it. Sometimes it does. Sometimes there's moments when you need to just
let it settle. You need to take a step back and you need to let that darkness turn to light
throughout naturally going through the light and night and day cycles. But there are sometimes you have to
go look into the past, look into the business, look into what's not working, look into the dark
corners, look into the dark corners of your life, the past things that have happened to you,
traumas, you've got to turn inwards because we're all running around externally, looking for external
validation that we're not going to get. No one else is going to be able to fix the broken dark
parts within you. You have to do that. There's different tools and groups that you can reach out to
and different resources, but ultimately it's each of us that has to take the action. And when we look at
shadow work, I know being in the spiritual world for a long time, that was something I always just
focus on, I am light. I always just focused on the light. And if I can be the light, I can allow
others to see because when we shine bright, we invite everyone else to do the same. But there is still
the transparency, there is still the vulnerability and honoring the darkness within you.
And starting to redirect that into the light, starting to set it free, looking at the things that
maybe held you back in the past that are still holding you back that you didn't think were
holding you back anymore, but looking at them as though there's the darkness instead of running
away facing it. And I heard the analogy once that the darkness is like a dog. If you start
running away from the dog, the dog is going to chase you.
But if you turn around and you greet the dog, it's probably going to stop.
Might walk up, most of them aren't going to attack you.
You just want to know what's going on.
And often that shadow work is known as our ego.
We bottle things up, we push them down because we don't want to face our ego.
We don't want to admit what we did wrong.
We don't want to, it's too painful.
So it's easier just to push it away than to look at the pain in our business and in our life.
And when I think about life, I'm sure you can think about things.
that have happened in your past or maybe that are happening right now. I know we're going
through something, the world's shifting, things are changing. And so when I start looking at that
darkness, I start to look at, okay, what do I need to do differently? Because this has been maybe
following or lingering and I haven't been dealing with it. That might be easier to think of than
something in your business. But if you look at the darkness or the anchors in your business,
the things that are holding you back, what are those things? What are the things in your
business that have became mundane tasks that you do over and over again that aren't getting you
the result but you just do them because it's a habit what are those things i know i have sometimes i
spend way too much phone on or time on my phone i'm scrolling through instagram i'm looking because
i was messaging a client or i was making a post but then i get sucked down a dark hole well that is
not serving me that is going down into the dark path so what can i do to shift that what can i do to
let that go. What can I do to change that habit? Because to create a new habit, we have to put
another habit to replace that old habit. So in your business, if you have actions, like every single
day you sit down and you have your action list of what you have to do in your business, maybe making
your phone call, social media, whatever those actions are. But sometimes you need to look at it
and look into the dark corners of your business, look into the things that aren't working,
look into the things that are holding you back as anchors, and you need to let them go. You need to cut
ties with it. You need to allow that space for something new to take its place. And then you need to
surrender to it. You need to be clear on what you want to bring into your business and what you want to
bring into your life. And sometimes it's maybe you're shifting your niche client. Someone who you really
loved working with before just doesn't align with you anymore because you've grown or the way your
business is going and where you want your business to go, you need to shift that. But it's about
mindful intention because when we're intentional about it, then we're aware of it. And when
when we're aware of it, our reticular activating system can do its job. It can start focusing on
what we need to do. It can start that manifestation process of really bringing it into your
business. But if we don't know and we're walking around, we're not clear, it's going to be hard
to really allow what you want to bring in space. So notice what is holding you back. What's lingering
in the closet that you have been too afraid to let go over. You've been too afraid to look at
and deal with. What are those skeletons in the closet in your business and in your life? Because again,
as business owners, we are the most important thing in our business. Warren Buffett always said
the best investment he ever made in his business was himself, investing in himself over and over
again. And I know Jim Rohn always said that you work harder on yourself than you work on your
business. There's a reason why. When we look at the cycles of our business, we all go through
different things. And if you're in a business where you're dealing with clients all the time,
you probably notice when you show up, you have to be in a state. You have to put on your armor.
You have to go and be in that role for your business, for your clients. And sometimes you can show up
and you could be going through something absolutely tragic in your life, a huge loss. Maybe you just
had a huge fight with your partner. Maybe you're losing your business. Maybe you're going through
something significant, but you still have to show up, you have to put on your armor, and you have to
show up as the role. You have to stand and deliver. You do that in your own life. Often, I know you hear
this with moms, they're dealing with things, but they didn't let their children or even the dads,
they didn't let the children know that they were suffering because they put on that mass. They put on
that armor and they showed up. And before they known, it started to get better. Because it's
They stepped into the role and then they looked at that darkness within and they used it as leverage.
They used it as fuel to cut the anchors, let go of those skeletons and take a step forward
to being the best version and the version of them that's needed to accomplish their dreams and goals.
So that's what I'm inviting you to do.
Look into your closet.
Look into your closet of your business.
Look into the closet of your life.
What are those anchors?
Who and what is holding you back?
belief systems, people, like anything, what is holding you back?
Write it down and you might not know right away.
So notice throughout the next week, even keep a little log in your phone or a journal and
notice when your energy depletes.
Notice when you feel really drained or notice when you get like frustrated or what your emotions
are because everyone has a different emotional home.
That emotional home is a place you immediately go.
Some people, it's anger, some people, it's happiness, some people shut down.
other people can just hold it in and they just bog it down everybody's different everybody has a different
emotional home if anybody ever watched modern family this one always made me laugh but on modern family
her name is claire and whenever she found out someone died she'd smile and she'd start to laugh like she couldn't
help it that was her emotional home she panicked and she'd laugh she'd like he died not funny but that's what
you would do that is the example of an emotional home we all have it what is a
your emotional home and start looking inwards and then really take note of that of how you're showing up
become aware become aware because when we become aware then we can actually notice what's going on
but when we see the way society's going so many people are not aware they're not self-aware
because they're always on their phone they're always being compared to models and they're always
comparing themselves to other people and they're really just not happy because they're consumed in a
world of stimulants. So then they turn to drugs and alcohol or different stimulants. We all have
advice, right? Nobody's perfect. But it's because we're afraid and we're not looking inwards.
And we're not becoming aware of how we're showing up. Because if we're aware, then we can make
the change. That is the first step. Just become aware. How are you showing up in your business?
How are you showing up in your life? Become aware. Because it is all a pattern. We all have different
patterns in our life and in our business. And when we become aware of it, we can interrupt that
pattern and start a new pattern to create a new habit that's in alignment with who we want to be,
the version of us that's needed in our business to accomplish our dreams and goals. And again,
be the catalyst for change. As Ghani always said, if you want to see the change in the world,
it starts with you. Be the change in the world that you want to see. It all starts with you.
