Meditating with the candle.
Place a candle about one meter away from you.
And rest your gaze upon the candle flame.
I'd like for you to feel as though you're looking at the candle flame
with your heart rather than the eyes in your head.
And as you gaze upon the candle flame,
I'd like you to imagine that this candle is a doorway between the physical universe,
that we perceive with our physical senses
what we see and touch and taste here and smell
and the spiritual universe
that we perceive with our open heart
the infinite love, infinite peace and joy
and as you gaze at this candle flame
I'd like for you to feel that it is a doorway
to that deeper realm
and you push back the doorway by virtue of your
concentration
so feel it your
concentrating with your heart on the candle flame and as you push back the doorway feel that
there is a golden light that is flowing into your heart and upon that golden light is flowing
the infinite peace the infinite love and infinite joy that surround us all the time breathe it into
your heart and on your outward breath I'd like for you to feel that you're just letting go of any
darkness in your life.
Any worries or fears
or doubts or anxieties?
Just letting them go
on your outward breath. So you're breathing
that light in.
Infinite love, infinite peace and joy
and breathing out
all the opposites. Restlessness
and worries and anxieties.
Worry about other thoughts if they come because
they will. Just refocus
as quickly as you can back to the candle flame
and feeling.
that this is the only thing that exists for you right now, this flame, this doorway to this deeper universe.
All the time we're just taking longer and slower and deeper breaths,
breathing in that golden light into our heart and releasing on our outward breath, the darkness.
Let your gaze sit easily.
You should be very comfortable, but very alert, focused.
You don't need to think about anything.
it's happened in the past or what might happen in the future.
Where you are right now is just in this moment, and this moment the candle flame is the only
thing that exists, this doorway to this deeper universe.
Then whenever you're ready, I'd like to ask you to close your eyes and picture that candle
flame inside your heart.
Around 2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ said that the kingdom of heaven is within.
He spoke a universal truth that lies at the heart of all religions and indeed all philosophy,
that inside of us there is infinite peace, infinite love, infinite joy.
What we do in meditation is we allow ourselves to be transported to this deeper realm,
this innermost reality that is the real you.
And what I'd like you to do right now is picture that candle flame right there inside your heart
and see it this time as the doorway to the kingdom of heaven within you.
As you focus on that candle flame within your heart,
feel that you're just pushing back the doorway
to the infinite love, the infinite peace and the infinite joy that's within your heart.
More focused your concentration, the wider that doorway will open
and the grade of the flood
of peace and light
and joy will be
focus more and more intensely
as you dive deeper and deeper
into this inmost reality of you
your real nature is flooded
with infinite peace
and infinite love and infinite joy
all we have to do is to open up our heart
to allow it to flow
through every part of our being
So as you look at that candle flame as the gateway to your own soul,
I'd like for you to feel that light is flooding your entire being.
That every cell, every atom of you, is being illumined by the light of your own soul.
Any darkness, any worries, any anxieties, any doubts or fears are being transformed by this light.
And again, don't worry if other thoughts come, they will.
just refocus as quickly as you can
back to the candle flame inside your heart
push back that doorway
own souls, love, most recesses of your heart
every cell, every atom of you
and that is that there are candle flames within every soul
within every living thing
and that when we dive to the heaven within us
we're actually diving into the same heaven
that's within everyone and everything
The world is full of billions and trillions of little flames.
And each of us are connected.
Whenever you're ready, you can open your eyes again
and place them upon the candle flame.
And as you gaze upon the candle flame,
remember it as the doorway to this deeper dimension.
That when we looked at the candle flame in the beginning,
we allowed ourselves to be transported into this.
deeper reality.
Gradually, I'd like to ask you to just take some deep breaths,
relax a little bit, and feel that you're just assimilating what you've felt in the
meditation.
Sometimes there are intuitive revelations that come up in our meditation.
Sometimes there is just a feeling that we get to our meditation.
This is a time where we just reflect upon those feelings or those intuitive revelations.
we just allow them to permeate our consciousness
and if we have a tangible intuitive direction that we should take
then this is the time where we make our souls determined
to live those intuitive revelations
of deep breaths now and just relax
