Starting point is 00:00:00 We appreciate your interest in today's meditation life skills podcast. We sincerely grateful for your support. Welcome. Your day has come to its end. You have done so much. Now it is your time to reflect. Meditation is a wonderful way to end your day. So please just get comfortable, removing any distractions,
Starting point is 00:00:35 and make sure that you will not be disturbed, softening the body, either sitting upright or laying down, whichever is best for you. Close your eyes. Notice your breath, softening. Your body is becoming still and motionless. Everything that happened today was in your best interest, letting your eyes. letting your eyes rest in their closed position. Noticing how soothing this can feel
Starting point is 00:01:24 and we will reflect on what happened in our day today. Starting with the morning, can you remember what you did when you first woke up? Just reflecting on your day as it actually happened. Noticing what you did after you woke up, What'd you have for breakfast if you ate anything? Did you go anywhere in the morning? Perhaps to work or somewhere else.
Starting point is 00:02:25 Try to recall every detail. As much as you can, do you remember the conversations you had with other people, either in person, on the phone, or online? What kinds of feelings were you having throughout the day? Remembering back, too long. lunchtime. What you ate then? What were you doing this afternoon? Now think about what you had for dinner and anything that happened during the time that let up before this meditation. Nice. You're doing so well. Now just stop reflecting for a few moments and let your mind wander around. However it pleases,
Starting point is 00:04:28 Perhaps you notice what kinds of thoughts you're thinking. Just be aware. As an observer, you are able to watch your thoughts without getting involved. Let's take control of our thoughts again. We are going to reflect on our day, but this time we will remember everything that happened in a positive light. We will creatively reimagine our day happening. as if it was perfect perhaps you made a wrong choice remember it as if you did it right maybe there was a
Starting point is 00:05:52 conversation that didn't go too well go ahead and re-remember it as being wonderful re-imagined your entire day as if it was the best day ever go ahead and do this now if you could have changed anything about your day, go ahead and imagine that it was so. Notice the kinds of feelings you are getting by doing this exercise. Reimagining all conversations as joyful and constructive. What this practice does for you is make for tomorrow to be even better for you are implanting into your mind. Exactly how you want to live your life. It's almost like practice.
Starting point is 00:07:48 Continue reflecting on your day, changing anything that you wish. Even the smallest things can be altered. Very good.
