Simply devote all of your attention to the here and now. Find a comfortable seated position. Close the eyes and begin to tune into your breath.
Starting point is 00:00:50 Notice, how is it flowing right now? Is it shallow and fast? Well, we are going to breathe slowly and deeply. Go ahead and inhale and exhale. Now breathe in even deeper. Feel your chest. chest rise with air and exhale softening breathe in again really fill your body with air and exhale relaxing release control of your breath and just let it flow naturally now did you know that you have a powerful imagination
Starting point is 00:02:02 it can help you in any way today we will use your imagination to get rid of overthinking, to eliminate anxiety, and relieve your stress. So just begin to imagine that you are walking through the woods. The dense forest surrounds you, and every step you make is on the soft earth below. You can even smell the forest air, a fresh smell of nature. feel so good there are ferns growing at your feet and little mosses making their way up the tree trunks. You hear the sound of water in the distance and make your way towards it. The trees break away for the sun to come down and warm your skin and you see up ahead a giant river.
Starting point is 00:03:36 flowing quickly there is a small bridge built sturdily across the river make your way over to it and step on the wooden boards are strong beneath your feet and there is a railing that you can hold on to the water of the river is rushing beneath the bridge but you are safe above it make your way to the very center of the river is rushing beneath the bridge but you are safe above it make your way to the very center of of the bridge. And then stop. Look upstream. This river is here to wash away your overthinking. So go ahead and imagine all of your thoughts that are bothering you are going into the river. Imagine that you can write them on a piece of paper and throw it into the water. Every thought that you have that you want to get rid of, write it down.
Starting point is 00:05:07 write it down ball it up and toss it into the rushing water the river takes away your thoughts go ahead and give it anything that you need to let go of very good
Starting point is 00:05:56 you are emptying your mind of these negative thoughts that you no longer need it feels like the river has cleansed your mind so continue walking along the bridge, making your way to the other side. Here on the other side of the river, a giant meadow stretches far into the distance. This meadow is filled with green grass and tiny yellow flowers. As you walk, you feel the softness of the grass beneath your feet.
Starting point is 00:06:57 This is the meadow of stress reduction. And every step you touch. You feel the softness of the grass beneath your feet. This is the meadow of stress reduction and every step you take you are feeling more and more relieved of stress. The wind is gently blowing, moving the grass from side to side. And you are feeling lifted of anything that has made you feel stressful. The meadow is allowing for you to let them go. the meadow is giving you a serenity you haven't felt in so long. You've made quite a distance through this meadow, and you've noticed you've appeared at the foot of a great mountain.
Starting point is 00:08:26 This mountain represents the anxiety that you are going to overcome. Any anxiety that you've had in the past, it is time to climb over it. So begin to come to come. climb this mountain. You are strong. Your legs are taking you up the side very easily and this is allowing you to overcome anxiety. Keep climbing, leaving anxiety far below. You've made it to the top of the mountain now and you can see the world below. The air up here is crisp. and you have a clarity unlike ever before.
Starting point is 00:09:38 You can now see your life clearly, and you know the decisions that are best for you. You have made it to the pinnacle of good feelings. Meditate here at the top of the mountain for a few moments on your own. Very good. Now let the image of the mountain and the meadow and the river fade from your mind
Starting point is 00:10:40 but leaving an everlasting imprint on you that you have overcome anxiety you have relieved your stress and you have let go of the need to overthink isn't it wonderful
Starting point is 00:11:01 as your meditation comes to an end open your eyes and reflect on your experience here today. Well done.
