Starting point is 00:00:00 We appreciate your interest in today's meditation life skills podcast. We sincerely grateful for your support. Today is a great day. Let's meditate on this truth. Find your favorite meditation position and close your eyes. Place your left hand on your left knee and your right hand on your right knee. If this is not comfortable for you, you can just have your hands. by your sides. It's okay. Notice the warmth of your hand, making contact with your knee.
Starting point is 00:01:03 Feel your arms resting by your sides. See if you can straighten your back just a little bit more. Holding yourself with dignity. You are an amazing person. Know that every moment of meditation is increasing your confidence. You feel better about yourself the more you meditate. It is a great way to reflect. Now you know that today is a great day. So let's imagine some things that you are going to do. Notice some people that you talk to in your mind. See the conversations going positively. Notice how you are making good decisions today. Powerful decisions regarding your health and wellness. Perhaps today is a great day because you got to exercise or you will exercise soon. It feels good to move the body. What else are you doing today that makes it so great?
Starting point is 00:03:16 Perhaps you are eating good food. Maybe what makes today great is that you get to hang out with your loved ones. Could be that today is so great because you get to spend it alone. Some of us value our alone time. Very good. Let's do some affirmations together. When I say an affirmation, Repeat it back to me twice. Today is a great day. I am successful today. I make good choices today. I am full of love today.
Starting point is 00:04:50 I am motivated today. Home today. I am productive today. I make meaningful connections today. Today I am full of abundance. Now meditate in silence about how today is a great day. Think of all your accomplishments. That positive things are coming for you today. Turning your focus to your hands. Can you feel them making contact with your knees? Nice. Let's bring
Starting point is 00:07:27 our focus down to the feet now. What do they feel like? Where are some places that your feet are going to take you today? See yourself going to these places and everything happening exactly as a it should. All transactions are going smoothly today. Greater freedom is gained every day. Today is a great day. And do you know why? Because you are alive. You are grateful to be alive and all the impacts you have on others. Think about some people that care about you for a minute. See their faces come into your mind. Remembering back on times that these people helped you. you just when you needed it. Days were great ones as well. Days where you were helped by those who love you. Now remember back to some days where you helped others. Maybe even a time when you
Starting point is 00:10:26 helped someone you didn't know. It feels good to help others. Now think back to a day where you helped yourself. Maybe you took a long bath or cooked a good meal for yourself. Can you remember when you took really good care of yourself? Now fast forward to today, where you are taking care of yourself right now. By doing this meditation, meditation is self-care. And that is what makes today great. You are dedicating this 20 minutes for yourself. To improve your life is actually to improve the lives of others.
Starting point is 00:12:02 because you care for so many other people and so many other people care for you. Imagine how you can make a positive impact on so many people by making each day a great day. Meditation is a great way to feel good every day. Meditation is a great way to feel good every day. Today is going to be a real good. really, really good day.
Starting point is 00:13:39 That is a quote from the beautiful Louise Hay. It is a beautiful day, in fact, because you make it that way. You wake up with purpose to do the things that you need to do and more. You make healthy choices. You move your body. You smile often. Today is a new day to give it your all. You are stronger now today.
Starting point is 00:14:19 you have ever been before. It is time to take on those challenges that you've been wanting to do. Figuratively, running the extra mile. Today you can use your inner wisdom to make the best choices. If there comes a challenge today, this is your opportunity to find solutions. There is always another way, and I am going to find it. That is a quote from the Healthy American Pagan. as you meditate in complete peace and serenity. You know that today is playing out exactly how it should. Even this very moment is a move in the right direction. Let's do a little movement now.
Starting point is 00:16:05 Bring your hands into the prayer position at your chest. Open your eyes and let a big smile come across your face. Say out loud this afternoon. Today is a great day. Very good. You can relax your arms now and let's do a few shoulder rolls. Moving your shoulders in a circle in the backwards motion. Ten more circles. Nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, four, Three, two. Now circle your shoulders forward.
Starting point is 00:17:15 Nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one. And rest your body. Notice how this action made you feel. Let's move our head from side to side. turning the head as if you are going to look left and then turning your head as if you are looking to the right slowly back and forth three times
Starting point is 00:18:04 one two and three let your head come back into the center position how did that feel smiling again saying out loud Today is a great day. Nice.
Starting point is 00:18:48 Really pay attention to how you feel right now. Really have an awareness of the beauty of this moment. As your meditation comes to an end, begin to reflect on what we touched on today. Do you remember those memories where you helped other people? This is your mission for today. Help someone. Or you may help many people.
Starting point is 00:19:49 But make sure to at least help one person when you do. Tell them that today is a great day. You may finish your meditation by taking a few breaths of fresh oxygen. I wish you a very happy day ahead. Thank you for letting me guide you.
