They're 9 and 12 in those combined games as well. Also, when we talk about the quad one loss, right? Isn't that worse? What do you say? I would be slightly worse. 10 and 13. It's

the same. It's one more game. Okay, that's fine. And then I'll take the rest of the West Virginia resume. Okay, the same one to go just the ones that doesn't make it look at net. Hey, the Tar Heels net was 36 versus West Virginia was non conference schedule. That's non conference schedule. So non conference scheduleference scheduled strength of it 36 for the tar heels 61 for West, Virginia They were much higher in the net to there are several other of these advanced metrics that favor them How about away in neutral record which they do factor into this? Ten and tar heels ten and ten versus West Virginia was below 500 in a way and neutral sites as well to North Carolina

Obviously also look in the committee, I'll say this, they evaluate all games on an equal scale, but that's a bad loss. Colorado at the end of the year, that's a bad, that's, that's a bad loss for to Colorado at the end of the year, North Carolina help themselves get in. If West Virginia wins that game, they're probably in this field too. So there was no, we're not they could have made their decision Friday night. They said it. They said they made it Friday night.

So I'm not surprised that there's a lot of things that go your way. Just like the things I mentioned too. It's one of the, it's a very thin margin that separates these teams. Also North Carolina does just like, if we're going straight up like this, like North Carolina won more games and we talk about quad one versus all

the other quads. How about the upper of quad one? They played Duke three times. They played Florida. That incentivizes playing bad teams. What you're talking about JT incentivize playing bad teams and piling up wins. That's all you're talking about. Other wins. Like they don't like it. To put my balls out here for possible castration, like West Virginia finished ahead of Baylor and there was no doubt going into selection Sunday Baylor was in they both lost to Colorado

within the last two weeks so and they won the same amount of games I think West Virginia lost one more that's where I'm like how does how is the math isn't math thing because there was no doubt about Baylor and their resumes were very very similar similar. JT, this is the weakest ACC we have seen in quite literally years. No, no. Okay, well, all the numbers I just mentioned all those things. matters in this there are other metrics and things that they use.

And then we're going to get mad at everybody because they're going to say, Oh, they're hypocrites. They use this talking point on this team, this on the other. In reality, in the real discussions, they're

bringing up all the talking points. They just can't bring them all up in a 10 minute interview over 12 teams. That's the problem. That's why we're taking them to court. We need, that's a good point. Well, and here's the thing. You know, Morrissey brought this up today.

Is this a little bit of a- That is the governor of West Virginia, by the way, not the former lead singer of the Smiths. Right. Correct. You know, he brought this up today. Obviously West Virginia litigated the NCAA in 2023 over the Rayquan battle situation.

The NCAA was left with, make this one guy eligible or make everybody eligible. And you know which choice they went with everybody became eligible now we're in a situation where we have to ask ourselves is this retribution you have to at least think about it and of course Morrissey brought that up in his press conference today and as West Virginia fans we're kind of used to being left out of things so it's you know people call us crazy people say say that we're, you know, complain too much about that.

But I truly do believe that when push comes to shove, we are left out with more things than teams in our similar bracket, if you will. It's just very frustrating. But I don't think they're going to take the, there's not gonna be no suit here. It's just going to be, can we actually work with the NCAA and figure out what's going on here? Because we need to figure out what the criteria is every year. So they can't

move the goalpost to say, North Carolina is supposed to be in or Xavier supposed to be in or Louisville is an eighth seed. We need to know what's what here, instead of, okay, we want North Carolina to be in. So these are our criteria, we're going to make up a wob, all of a sudden winds above the bubble. Nobody's ever heard of that. Now they're talking about it. They laid out the criteria, you can go find it online. When was it before this year?

I think Derek is very correct in saying you catch a guy for five or 10 minutes, he can't tell you at the two hour conversation. I think that's very accurate. I applaud you JT first off you went for trying to get yourself on the ACC squad in the first segment, and now you're trying for the SEC squad in segment two. Utah is the world's biggest. Legs wide open, JT, legs wide open. Well, JT is firmly in ACC country. He's in a minority, though, you know what I mean? So I think at the end of the day, he's trying to make a minority argument, you know?

Like, I know the sec at a good year. I just, it was like the best. I mean, we've seen a really long time. But they also struggle with having a team that finished 13th in their conference, making the tournament. 1316. 1316. Right. It's not so 13 to 13 of the teams in the sec 120 more games Texas, if you include Texas that 19. So if we say 119 or more games, then that and I will if we go every other conference, big 12, big 10 had nine big 12 had eight ACC had seven. I get this. But but I'm like that the think of how bad at 13th team is in the conference, a normal conference, you're just

losing to your competition all the time. But it would be like it would be like being in an AP class, but getting like C's every time you're like, I'm in an AP class. Texas had any I know this is gonna get spun, but Texas had more quad one wins than any other bubble team. So once it matters, it's part of the argument. That's what I'm saying. Here we go. That just means they lost to other teams a lot.

Well, no, they lost the teams, but they said they're still beat some really good teams. Oklahoma was six and 12 in conference play. Ninety. I know on the nerd of your conference games in a normal conference. I would totally understand. But everyone in the SEC, except for South Carolina and LSU, had a winning record. Stop it, stop it, Bubba Cunningham. This is like talking about home runs in 98. JT thinks this is like the year for one conference. We can talk about, do you guys feel like

Give me the Cougars stronghold, just like, hell yeah. Okay, if you guys had to play Texas, would you not be complaining as much as you are playing VCU? everyone's talking about how mad they are about VCU. I'm like, Hey JT, go look at the Duquesne game last year and also look at BYU playing their history playing in Denver. Not great. Not great. That's fair. I don't think it matters. If you have a losing record in your conference, I don't care if it's the Big 12, I don't care whatever conference it is, you shouldn't be invited to this tournament. What if that conference was 59 and 19

versus all other power conferences? If you have a losing record, if you can't have a winning record unless you run the gauntlet in your tournament to find a way to steal a bid, you shouldn't have a chance at this. That's probably my only pushback to what Brett and your mark that would that would get West Virginia out by the way. Fine. And I think the real and the real people that complain and we can

talk about Western a lot more if we want to the people that complain about the 1314 team in the SEC getting it are going to be the teams that were two and three in places like the American or the whack or like like those people the real complaints I think on that. And that's and that's what I like like that's maybe just a personal preference but I'd rather see a second team from the American or the MVC or yeah. Yeah but here's where you run into the issue. I know it's an easy one to kind of push back against but to me that's what the NCAA tournaments. The problem is Oklahoma going six and 12,

beat Michigan, who won the Big Ten Championship, beat Arizona, who finished runner up in the Big 12 tournament, and beat Louisville, who finished runner up in the ACC. So even though it's easy to look at, oh, six and 12 in Big 12, what if you would have just swapped those three wins with three good wins in conference play, and they lost all those three non-con games

that were nine and nine in conference play. Would you feel that much better even though it's the same thing? I mean, yeah, I would also argue you can't do that. You can't just swap three wins out. It's the same thing on the resume. Would Louisville have made it if they had an SEC schedule? Now we're getting into football season. With Louisville, we've done it.

Hypothetically speaking. I feel like it was a much different argument. You just throw, it's just questions. I felt like the SEC there, like in football season, there was a much different argument you just throw it's just questions I felt like the SEC there like in football season there was a media push a bias genuinely like we have and I do like it's good as they have been in years past yeah JT Ken Pomeroy obviously who's in basketball analytics guru he has the gall to call out the SEC on not being as good as they think they are and Greg Sank he's oh, don't you dare buddy boy. Their 30th in Ken Palm and they're seated 11th. They got a, if I'm a VCU Ram fan, I'm arguing, Hey, give us a higher seed because playing a six seed and BYU, that's a tough matchup. And it's only a three

point spread right now. I mean, I get what you're saying, but it's just, I mean, strength of record, all those things too. That's where it becomes. I assume you've got to be factoring in like, that you've got the meadow. I don't know what you're talking about. I assumed though, Jake, what you're talking about is some sort of like a factoring in of like the distance of seeds because like eight nines will argue that they're more like, you know, that kind of thing. And like, and frankly, like Clemson, I don't think of

I got BYU going to the elite in my bracket.
