Starting point is 00:01:04 All right. So before we get into your questions, real quick, obviously Jerry DePoto met with the media over the weekend. We got a few questions about that. We're not going to be answering those because we have a full show planned around that tomorrow. We also have this really annoying article
Starting point is 00:01:19 that's come out about John Stanton and payroll that we're going to have to address on tomorrow's show as well. So that's the plan for tomorrow. So today we're not going to be answering any stuff like that. So instead, we're going to start Mailbag Monday here with a question from Relics asking, what was your favorite moment or top few from the season? Honestly, Saturday was pretty cool. You know, Snyder gives up the go-ahead three-run Homer.
Starting point is 00:01:47 And then you're just like, oh, well, that's kind of fitting, only to have Julio single and Luke Rayleigh tie it up with a kind of a wall scraping Homer himself. It was, that was pretty cool to see them fight back when it would have been really easy for them to be like, you know, whatever. Season's over anyways. So that was cool. I think the Sunday night baseball beatdown of the Mets is probably way up there. That was pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:02:12 Brian Wu taking a perfect game into the, what was it, the seventh? That was pretty awesome. Yeah, I mean, there were some, definitely some good moments. You know, pick a Mitch Hanigur walkoff hit. That was, those were fun. I think there was three of them. Well, one was a walk. but J.P. Crawford's Grand Slam against the Angels.
Starting point is 00:02:35 That was pretty cool. It was like the last time they would ever beat the Angels, but whatever. So, yeah, I mean, there were some cool ones. But, yeah, I think when I'm thinking about, you know, what's, you know, best moment from the season, again, not a ton. They only won 85 games. But a lot of it is the pitching. I think, you know, maybe not one particular game or moment,
Starting point is 00:02:57 but how about the run that the starting rotation went on in like the middle of April until June 1. That was, that was insane. So I think of stuff like that. And then, you know, ooh, how about Luke Rayleigh's
Starting point is 00:03:12 bunt with the tie the game off of what was it, Kopeck against the White Sox, the suicide squeeze bunt that nobody expected. That was pretty cool. But yeah, I do think that the Luke Rayleigh game time time home run on Saturday actually ranks pretty high up there. I would also say the comeback in New York,
Starting point is 00:03:31 against Clay Holmes was really cool. Yeah. That was a lot of fun. But yeah, I think you hit on everything else. Like Sunday night baseball is definitely a big moment that stands out for me. Troy Taylor, getting his first appearance in that game as well was really cool. I mean, Cal going sicko mode in that game.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Yeah. Oh, yeah, that's good. Cal, how about hitting a couple homers over the weekend? Yeah, yeah, yeah. We should mention that. I mean, that was so sick because, like, we talked about this on Friday show. Hey, what are we looking for in the series? Well, he's got an outside shot.
Starting point is 00:04:04 Like, he's got to hit three home runs to get the record. And he's got to have, what was it, four RBI, five RBI to get to 100. And it was like, all right, well, you know, he might not play all these games. So it's probably not going to happen. He ends up playing in all the games. And yeah, he gets exactly what he needs, including the 100th RBI on the record breaking home run. Yep. So, yeah, I would say Cal Raleigh in general was a bright spot.
Starting point is 00:04:31 remember the big grand slam he had against the twins early on in like the seventh uh like yeah cow is is is cow is definitely the you know the purveyor of most of the bright spots uh but luke really had some uh victor robles in general had some um you know Julio me but uh yeah i think cal breaking that record uh that was pretty cool uh and even more so because he really did it in three seasons like I know the record is for first four seasons, but yeah, Cal hit his 93 homers and three. To be fair, Piata also did it.
Starting point is 00:05:06 Yeah. Yeah. So like, okay, if you're in company with Mike Piazza, like you're doing something right and that's great. And it was cool. And then you finished with 100 RBI.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Uh, first switch hitting catcher to do that. Uh, since I believe 2009, uh, Victor Martinez, uh, also Victor Martinez did it three or four times.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Uh, but, uh, yeah, Cal Rale. Uh, special player, really good year at the plate.
Starting point is 00:05:29 and also behind it. And he played and I think he ended up playing in like 150 games this year. Yeah, I think it was like 154 or something like that. Yeah, when you take an account the DH and all that, it's like, okay, can we please find a way to not make Cal play every game of the season so that we can enjoy him for longer. But yeah, Cal is certainly kind of in his own category. He was, he was great this year. Allison once now, which three players did you most enjoy watching this season? and why. Well, I guess we can start with Cala Raleigh.
Starting point is 00:06:03 Victor Rolus, obviously. Victor Rolus is so much fun this year. Kind of ironically, the top three guys that came to mind immediately for me are all position players, which you wouldn't really think would be the case. Let me guess the other one. Luke Raleigh for you? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Of course it's Luke Raleigh. Brian Wu makes my list.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Yeah. I love watching Brian Witt. He is so fun. I mean, that effortless delivery, the fact that he's just like, Here are my fastballs. Hit them. And more often than not, teams are like, I have no idea what to do it. It's great.
Starting point is 00:06:36 Not to mention the slider and change. Both took pretty significant steps this year, too. So, yeah, we'll definitely up there. Bryce Miller's up there. But yeah, I mean, like for me, it's, it's Cal, Robles, and Rayleigh are the three guys for me. It's a little bit easier, too, because they play every day. more or less. Whereas,
Starting point is 00:07:00 you know, a guy like Wu, you might get to see him pitch once a week and you're just kind of like, but yeah, Wu's definitely on that list. You know, he's going to be something special.
Starting point is 00:07:12 Kind of already is, but we've barely scratched the surface on Brian Wu. So. And then, again, Bryce Miller perpetually underrated. A lot of fun to watch him pitch and his maturation this year.
Starting point is 00:07:21 But yeah, I would say, I'd say it's those five. I mean, like Julio certainly gave you moments and stuff like that, but he's just, too inconsistent and you know missed a good chunk of the season there so it's kind of tough to
Starting point is 00:07:32 to throw him into the mix there but yeah i think it's i think it's those five in some order would be my answers and logan was was great but kind of expected a little bit so well i had i had a lot of fun watching radio rosarena he was only here for two months but i had a lot of fun watching him had a lot of fun watching justin turner it was really weird seeing jesson turner in a mirror's uniform. Yeah, of course. Yeah, it was. But he was great in his time as a mariner and we'll see if that continues in 2025. But we got a few more questions to answer here. We're also going to be talking about what our plan is for offseason content a little later on in the show. But first, a reminder.
Starting point is 00:08:13 This episode of the Lockdown-Ares podcast is brought to you by Fanduel. NFL fans can start the season with a big return on Fandul, America's number one sportsbook. So when you get a hunch in the middle of the game, you can check out the latest stats of you live play by play and so much more on the same page where you place your bets. You'll get started with $200 in bonus bets. Yeah, you heard that right. $200 in bonus bets guaranteed when you place your first $5 bet. That's fandul.com. And you're listening to the Locked-on Mariners podcast. Ryan wants to know with reports coming out that the Cardinals are cutting payroll and selling this offseason.
Starting point is 00:08:55 how much would you give up for Ryan Hellsley? Bullpen is an underrated need this offseason, even with Matt Brash coming back. He's going to be making some money, and apparently that's going to be tight because we all have to tighten the belt. We all work within constraints, don't we? Says the billionaire
Starting point is 00:09:11 talking about this boy. It's actually a strategy, Colby. It's not for a lack of resources. I'm definitely not broke. Please don't call me broke. Right. It's just that us, our peon brains can't comprehend that like we all have to work, operate within a budget.
Starting point is 00:09:27 And even though I'm a billionaire who has this $3 billion entity that I basically get to treat like a toy, you know, I just don't want to spend the money on it. But it's not because I don't have it. It's because I don't want to spend the money as if that's better. But anyways, to answer the question directly. I think, first of all, I haven't seen that the Cardinals are selling. I know that they're already going to shop Sunny Gray. I know they're not going to resign Paul Goldschmidt,
Starting point is 00:09:58 but I think both of those things were going to happen either way. So I don't know for sure if they're rebuilding or selling off pieces like this. But Helsley would make some sense. I'm just worried about the cost to acquire because, again, my resources are limited, particularly financially. Then I don't want to spend money and prospects to go out and get a player who is only going to impact, you know, 60 games. if I can help it.
Starting point is 00:10:26 So if Helsley is in a deal that gets me like Brendan Donovan, sure, like fine, absolutely. And there certainly is a point where, you know, even with the resource you'd have to use, like, it's worth it to go get Helsley. But I think the Mariners are going to look at their bullpen and they're going to say Munoz, a healthy Santos, full year of Troy Taylor, Colin Snyder, all under club control, all cheap. and we're going to get Brash back at some point next year. Now they shouldn't count on that, but I'm guessing that's how they're going to rationalize it. They're going to look at it. Actually, we think our bullpen is a strength.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Like we think we're good in the bullpen. So they do add somebody. It's going to be, you know, kind of that, you know, three, four million dollar type, who's not going to cost any prospects would be my guess. So, yeah, Helsley, to me, I'm going shopping at the, at the Cardinals expense.
Starting point is 00:11:21 He's pretty far down the list on guys I'm going to, you know, go after. So I don't dislike the idea at all. I question whether or not it's reasonable or like if it does it make is it the best allocation of resources to go get a high leverage arm when you have other needs and you're going to have a limited payroll. And obviously sustainability is really important to us. So we'll see what kind of prospects of the mayors are willing to trade.
Starting point is 00:11:52 But yeah, like for Halsley, like if I could get him for. for, Hellsley have one year left or two. Do you know, Ty? I'll look that up. I think it's one. I think, pretty sure it's one. If it is, I would trade a couple of guys in the, in the Thai Locklear. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:15 Like I might trade like Ty Locklear and Michael Morales for Hellsley. But I don't think that's going to get it done. They have lots of other suitors. My guess is that if you want Helsley, it's probably going to cost you like, I don't know Cole Young maybe a Tai Pete somebody in that range
Starting point is 00:12:35 and I just if I'm trading Cole Young I want somebody more than a one year of a reliever Yeah I mean what's stopping the Cardinals For asking for what the Royals got for a Raldus Chapman Which was Colt Regens Right
Starting point is 00:12:49 And that was for and that was for two months of a Roldus Chapman Yeah Like I mean again Heck do you want Emerson Hancock and and uh you know tyler locklear sure then okay yeah i'll take ryan hellsley uh but it's like do you want hi pete do you want uh oh uh apparently edwin dyes is facing jared calnick right now oh is it the first time since they uh they were traded for each other probably yeah um but yeah so i advantage dyes uh but uh yeah i think to me hellsley is just a guy it's it's
Starting point is 00:13:26 a luxury that I don't think you can afford, you should be able to afford it. Like you can't afford it. Let's be clear about that. It's just, I don't think it will, that opportunity will be afforded to them, to the front office of that makes sense. So yeah, I'm definitely interested in the player. I think you get to a point where the cost is just going to be way too high, uh, to pursue a, uh, like a super high end leverage reliever like Hellsley.
Starting point is 00:13:48 Yeah. Uh, speaking of Matt Brash, uh, if the Mariners had a healthy Matt Brash for the entire 24 season, how many wins? would they have finished with this comes from Zach that's a great last name by the way it's misspelled there should be an S there but uh you're the worst
Starting point is 00:14:07 so uh yeah had they had Matt Brash because you mentioned this about on Friday that you think the the biggest reason that the Marys missed the playoffs was or at least a big part of it was the bullpen and the bullpen injuries so had they had Brash
Starting point is 00:14:23 are they still playing right now I think so because I think Brash probably makes a difference in one or two games. And you look at the margin of error this year. Again, one game. So I think if they did have a healthy Matt Brash because you think about those times early on where they had to use Munoz for five outs and if they had Brash, they wouldn't have felt like they needed to do that. And Munoz obviously had some struggles later in the year.
Starting point is 00:14:49 You look at a couple of the times where they were still trying to figure things out and they went to Ryan Stanick, you know, because they were trying to find that extra high leverage arm. If that's Brash, Stannick doesn't blow as many games, you probably get another winner to if you have Matt Brash healthy. And I think you also have to factor in that they didn't have Santos for most of the year. I think Gregory Santos ended up pitching eight times for Seattle this year,
Starting point is 00:15:14 maybe nine. So if you had healthy Santos even, I think that's probably worth another win. And so I think missing Brash and Santos cost this team at least. least two or three wins would be my guess. And you never know exactly how it shakes out because you just say like, oh, well, what was their war? And it's like, well, no, because it's who they're replacing.
Starting point is 00:15:32 And obviously, you know, when you look at something, like, we can't just assume that every single time Ryan Stanick pitched, that would be Matt Brash's spot because Brash might have been available or blah, blah, blah. So it's all very just kind of guesstimating guesswork. But I would guess that if you had Brash as your second high leverage arm this year, you probably would have won at least another game, probably two. and then on top of that, Santos is probably worth another win himself.
Starting point is 00:15:57 So I think, yeah, missing Brash probably cost you the playoffs. But also it happened in March. You had plenty of time to react and, you know, and they tried. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:16:07 they did technically. Right. So yes and no. Like I think if Brash was healthy, the mayor's make the playoffs, but he wasn't. They knew it from the beginning. They had an opportunity and they just,
Starting point is 00:16:19 they chose poorly. They picked Ryan Stannick, who wasn't very good, took him forever to try. trust Colin Snyder, which I mean, fair. But yeah, yeah, yeah, I think if Brash was healthy, they would have made the playoffs this year. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:32 All right. So we have a couple more questions of yours to answer here in just a moment. But first, a reminder of this episode of the Lockdown Marys podcast is brought to you by game time. So I used to live in New Mexico and down in New Mexico, there are zero pro sports teams. And a lot of bands and artists I listen to skip going there more often than not. So when I moved to Toronto, where there's a baseball team, a basketball team, a basketball team, a hockey team, even a soccer team, and there's great music being played every night in the city, I was right in my element. When I want to catch a ball game or my wife and I
Starting point is 00:17:03 want to see a band, I always get my tickets through game time. And that was the case well before game time sponsored our network and before I even join the network, because it is truly the best ticketing service out there, hands down. I truly, truly believe that. And now it's getting even better thanks to Game Time Picks. Game Time Picks filters out the fluff to show you only incredible deals on great seats so you don't have to waste time searching through thousands of tickets. I can just go on the app. It'll show me the best deal right away. It'll show me the exact view I'll have. And most importantly, it'll tell me exactly what I'm going to pay with Game Times all in pricing. So there are no annoying little fees that pop up at the last second. Take the guesswork out
Starting point is 00:17:44 of buying tickets with Game Time. Download the Game Time app, create an account, use the promo code Locked-on MLB, that's L-O-C-K-D-O-N-M-L-B, for $20 off your first purchase. Terms apply. Again, create an account and redeem promo code L-O-C-D-O-N-M-LB for $20 off. Download game time today. What time is it? Game Time. And you're listening to the Locked on Marries podcast.
Starting point is 00:18:10 It is Mailbag Monday here for our first episode of the off season. And Jeff wants to know, since the infield is a top priority, which free agent would be realistic. Plus on Kim or Ahmed Rosario? Or is it up in the year since Kim is having season ending shoulder surgery? I mean, that doesn't help. I don't know what the timeline is for his recovery, and I don't know exactly the procedure that he's having
Starting point is 00:18:35 and how serious that injury is. So I'll have to add to that more. I would say that it probably increases the likelihood that he takes his option, though, and stays in San Diego for another year. So just, you know, who's more realistic? Well, I mean, Amad Rosario is actually a free agent. Like we know he's a free agent.
Starting point is 00:18:54 He's actually a free agent. He's probably not going to cost much. And the mayors have shown interest in him as recent as this past offseason. And I believe they also put a claim in on him. My understanding is that they put a claim in on him in August, but they were too far down in the waiver. It was the Reds, right? The Reds claimed him, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:15 So yeah, I think, I think Rosario is, is, I mean, like, I think both could be realistic. Like, the question is who, which free agent is realistic. They both are to some degree. But again, Kim, we don't know he's going to opt out of that deal. We also don't know the extent to the shoulder injury. And Kim is a glove first player. He's a fine hitter. He's about a league average bat with some upside.
Starting point is 00:19:40 But I think when you're, you're factoring in, like, how. few second base and short stops there are out on the free agent market this year when you factor in his age. I feel like Kim's going to be one of those guys who gets like a, I mean, again, pending the shoulder injury, I feel like he's going to be one of those guys that gets like a surprisingly high number, like somebody's going to give him like five and a hundred. And you're just going to be like, whoa, okay. I don't think he's a hundred million dollar player. He's close, though.
Starting point is 00:20:05 Like, he's a good player. But it's a lot of defense in there. And that doesn't always translate to free agent dollars when you're a glove first type of guy. Rosario dreadful defender at shortstop at least. But, you know, he's coming off a nice year offensively. I don't know what he's done since joining the Reds, but he was hitting 300 for most of the year. He can play multiple spots. I know he plays some shorts, some seconds, some third, some outfield even this year.
Starting point is 00:20:31 He can run a little bit, but he's not a great base dealer, not a ton of pop. So I think if you're asking, like, which one is more realistic for the Mariners? It's Rosario. Are both of these guys realistic to some degree for Seattle? should they be on the radar? Yeah, they should be. So I think, you know, either one I'm pretty happy with. Like if one of these guys is the Mariners solution to second base,
Starting point is 00:20:52 like, or if it's like, hey, this guy's going to play second, then we'll see when Cole Young's ready. You know, we can move this guy to third or we can blah, blah, blah, move Cole Young to third, whatever, then like fine. But if that's what you're thinking, like a short-term guy until Cole Young is ready, then it's Rosario. If you're looking for more of a long-term fixture, I think it's probably Kim. But again, the interesting.
Starting point is 00:21:13 I don't know how the injury is going to impact his market because if it's bad enough that he might miss some time in the regular season, he's probably just going to accept the $12 million option that he has and go back to San Diego for another year. Cal's Bobbleface wants to know. How much do you think Christian Walker will cost in the open market? So I was thinking about first base only older coming off of a good year with great years in his past. And I thought of Jose Abraeu, who got like 3 and 58, Abrae was 37 when he got his money. Walker's 34. Now I don't know if he'll, I don't know if he just turned 34 or if he turns 35 at some point. And also natural inflation, et cetera.
Starting point is 00:21:57 Right, right. But also, you know, again, because the three year difference in age, that's pretty significant. So I look at a guy like maybe Anthony Rizzo when he signed with the Yankees. That was 2 and 40. Walker is 33 turning 34 in March. There you go. So he's entering his age 34 season. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:17 So yeah, I think Rizzo about the same age. He got $20 million a year. I think of Max Muncie. He just got, he's 33, but obviously Monsie has a lot more injury concern that he's only getting $12 million a year. So I think when you kind of look at the comps here, I think Rizzo is the minimum, which is two in, 40 is what I would see. So because of inflation and all that stuff, I think we're looking at three years and at least $66 million,
Starting point is 00:22:52 which would be about 22 a year. So yeah, I think three and 70 probably gets you in the conversation. If you're making an actual run at Christian Walker, and if, you know, three over 70 doesn't count as a top end free agent contract, you never know. with John Stanton. But yeah, I think realistically it's going to be three years,
Starting point is 00:23:12 maybe four. And I think it's going to land around 20 to $23 million AAB, somewhere in that range. The caveat that will be the caveat for every free agent we talk about is that it only takes one, right? One team to look at Christian Walker
Starting point is 00:23:29 and go like five and a hundred and you're just out. Like, okay, well, I'm not paying Christian Walker that. I'm out. So it only takes one to blow this out of the market entirely. I'm looking at it and I'm going like I think three in between 65 and 70 million dollars put you in the ballpark. By the way, we're missing an insane baseball game. The Mets tied up. Francisco Lundor just had a go ahead to run, home run.
Starting point is 00:23:52 It's eight to seven Mets. Best game of the year. This is what we sacrifice for you guys. These two teams still have to play one more game today. And then one of them, maybe both of them, have to then travel to wherever they're playing a wild card series. tomorrow. Yeah, wow. Chum the Hammerhead says,
Starting point is 00:24:14 I just want to know when the offseason plan comes out. All right. So for those of you that don't know, if you are new to Locked-on Mariners and you're new to the content that Colby and I do, every off-season, we do what is called an off-season plan, which is where we essentially put ourselves
Starting point is 00:24:31 in Jerry DePoto and Justin Hollander's shoes and tell you guys what we would do. this off season. If we ran the show, and we try to keep it fairly realistic, like we try to ballpark where payroll will ultimately land, stuff like that. So as we do every year,
Starting point is 00:24:52 a lot of you are already familiar with this process. We will hammer out our ideas on our Patreon show over the next few weeks. We will create our own individual plans. So I'll have a plan. Colby will have a plan. And then on the Patreon show, Colby and I will kind of mix those two plans together. We'll also come up with some other ideas just to kind of make it all fit together and make it all work as I bump into my microphone. And then we will present to you guys here on Lockdown Mariners, the master plan.
Starting point is 00:25:28 And that is going to be dropping on the first day of free agency, which is five days after the final game of the World Series. essentially Patreon show is where we put everything together. It's the behind the scenes of actually making the plan and calling each other stupid and being stuck on who the number five starter is going to be for three hours, like all that stuff. So if you want to, if you want to see how the sausage is made more or less, head on over to the Patreon show.
Starting point is 00:25:55 So that's for offseason plan. We've also discussed possibly doing, I don't know if we're going to do it or not, possibly doing a what if, offseason plan leading up to our official drop. So essentially it would be like, what if we could add $50 million in payroll or whatever? You know what I mean? Like what if we could spend what we wanted to spend?
Starting point is 00:26:17 What if the Mariners had to trade one of their starting pitchers or blah, blah, right, whatever. So, you know, we're considering it, but we'll have to see how much, how much time we spend on our actual official offseason plan, which typically takes a lot of time more than it should. but yeah ties a perfectionist and I am as we all know
Starting point is 00:26:41 brevity is my strong suit so that's that's correct yeah it is a wonderful combination when you're trying to put together an offseason plan so if you guys want to hear our process and creating our respective offseason plans and then the master plan head on over to patreon.com
Starting point is 00:26:57 for it slash control the zone and we'll start doing that probably here in a week or so we'll start talking about that stuff. I think so I think today, just real fat, today we'll hammer out the rules. This is our budget. This is our payroll, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Right.
Starting point is 00:27:15 Then we'll have the rest of this week and I think the rest of next week to put together our own individual plans. And the second full week of October, that's when we'll meet and we'll exchange plans and all that stuff. And then we'll spend the week after that hammering it out. and actually finalizing it. And then a week after that is when you'll get it here on locked on. Our patrons will get it the week prior before the world or during the World Series probably. Yeah. That's when they'll get it.
Starting point is 00:27:44 So. Yeah. So outside of that, I also wanted us to take a little bit of time here to just kind of tell you what else we got planned for the offseason here for content on the show. So fan fiction Friday is going to make its triumphant return. I believe this week. I'm excited. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:03 I believe this week we're going to be doing it. So start thinking of your trade ideas and we'll put out a tweet asking for those on Thursday. And then we're going to introduce a new, and I tease this on Friday, we're going to introduce a new themed show like Mailbag Monday and like Fan Fiction Friday. And this was Colby's idea. It's called Top 5 Tuesday. Now, I don't know if it's going to happen every single Tuesday. but on the Tuesdays that we don't have anything playing because like tomorrow for example we got the we're going to talk about the end of season media gathering from jerry to potto that we want to react to uh we also have that that article that we're going to be talking about so like for example tomorrow we're not going to be doing top five tuesday but on tuesdays that it does make sense maybe we'll do it on thursday occasionally maybe it'll be top five Thursday whatever um but essentially what we're going to do is we're going to come up with a bunch of random topics to do top five
Starting point is 00:29:03 for and we're going to put them on a randomizer wheel or put them in a hat or something like that and just draw them at random every single Tuesday or Thursday whenever we do the show and do a top five and sometimes it'll be more quote unquote serious topics like top five targets at third base right and then sometimes it might be like top five ballpark foods right and we might do like one serious one one non-serious one per episode. We'll figure that all out and we'll see kind of what works. Like we always do. We kind of just like run with it.
Starting point is 00:29:40 And then once we find our groove, we just kind of stick with that after we've done it a couple of times here on the show. And then also if you guys have any ideas for like top five topics, let us know in the comments below. And we'll add them to the list. And that's probably something that we will also carry into the season maybe occasionally and occasionally do. And then, yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:02 Otherwise, we're going to be doing team awards here soon, like team MVP, team Syyong, stuff like that. Kind of like what you heard us do here to start the show with like our favorite moments, our favorite players to watch, all that good stuff. We'll do position reviews. We're also going to look at each division for trade targets for the Mariners. That will be happening here in about a week or two. We'll be going division by division. and am I missing anything? No, I mean, team awards, position previews, you know, trades in division by division,
Starting point is 00:30:43 and then probably a free agent positional preview at most of the main spots there. And we think that'll take us up to offseason time, like officially, the actual offseason, not just our off season, which unfortunately started a couple of days. days ago. But yeah. So yeah, it'll take us past the World Series and then off season plan and then we'll start to get more news and all that stuff. But yeah, it's going to be, you know, a lot of reviewing, you know, mostly what else is out there for the Mariners. Like what can the Mariners add to this roster? So we're already full flight, you know, acquisition mode around here. We're going to do like maybe maybe it's a couple days of we're reflecting and handing out awards and
Starting point is 00:31:29 all that stuff on here. But then right after that, it's straight ahead to who can we acquire to make this team better. And obviously, you know, schedule might shift if there is an announcement. For example, the Mariners have hired a new hitting coach. And this is Edgar's new role and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, that will probably bump whatever we had on the calendar that day to the next day. But yeah, obviously like mailback Monday, fanfix for Friday, top five Tuesday slash Thursday, all of those are subject to be skipped over.
Starting point is 00:31:58 or just at least delayed due to like hey the mayor is a big trade we're going to be talking about that obviously right so yeah and then you know some days how it typically goes you might get two shows in a single day because hey we just recorded our mailbag episode but right after we got down recording the jerry depoto made a trade because that seems to be his his MO it certainly was at the trade deadline this year so yeah I think that's about it and then it covered everything. We got a lot of ideas planned for you guys. We're going to have some fun. So
Starting point is 00:32:34 hopefully you're looking forward to it. So again, offseason plan. We'll be coming first day of free agency or at least around that time for you guys here on locked on. And if you want to hear the process of all that, again, patreon.com forward slash control of the zone. We'll be talking
Starting point is 00:32:50 through all that stuff here in the next few weeks. So yeah. All right. That is going to do it for our show.
