Episode Date: September 27, 2025

Anders and Chris go live to break down the first of three games for the Seattle Mariners versus the Los Angeles Dodgers. George Kirby pitched well, but one fastball betrayed him for a two-run homer. T...he offense stunk against a parade of Dodgers' bullpen, which isn't the best. Josh Naylor got hurt. That's the worst. Starting point is 00:00:04 This is the Mariners Postcast. Your instant game reaction for the Seattle Mariners. Part of the locked on podcast network, your team every day. Well, they don't all count the same, Chris Crawford. That's the only positive, not the only positive from today's game, but one of the very few positives. As the Mariners lose to the Los Angeles Dodgers 3 to 2. And oh, the other takeaway, the Dodgers are not as bad as the Rockies, believe it or not.
Starting point is 00:00:42 Oh, really? That's the number one takeaway I get from this one. But no, the Mariners lose this one to drop to 90 and 70 on the season. The Los Angeles Dodgers go to 91 and 69. Yeah. To say that this game didn't matter as much as the last few games is the understatement of understatements. there's one. There's our first Chris Crawfordism of the day. But in my eyes, like, you still want to go in to the playoffs with momentum a little bit.
Starting point is 00:01:17 I know you're going to have the week off or like five days off at this point. Trident's up says, happy B-day, Anders. It is not my birthday. Oh, I was going to say. It is not my birthday. But I appreciate the thought. You know, maybe it's a belated one of those situations. not sure. But yeah, the Mariners lose this one. Chris Crawford, I'm struggling to have major takeaways from a, from a game like this where, you know, George Kirby looks pretty good. And, you know, a couple of mistake pitches here and there. But I think overall, you'd feel pretty confident about how he looked against a decent lineup today. But the Dodgers aren't
Starting point is 00:01:58 playing for anything. And now that both the Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays won as well, the Mariners are almost assuredly getting locked into that number two seat. It's not 100% yet, but I'm curious about your takeaways on this game. I mean, and I totally understand everybody who's upset, and I'm not happy. I wanted to win, and I had my own little bingo card here, and my bingo card was a mariner win, and then I only had three. Give me a mariner win, give me a Cal Raleigh Homer, and give me a show hey, oh, Connie Homer. And I got none of that. I got none of it. So that's why I'm a little bit more upset
Starting point is 00:02:40 than I probably should be. I've never, we talked about one about two weeks ago. I think it was the second game of the road trip where we said, you just can't win them all. This is the most can't win them all of all can't win them all's. And yeah, it's a little disappointing that they gave up three runs to a lineup that didn't have moogie bets that didn't have Freddie Freeman that, you know, doesn't have Will Smith right now. It's not the Dodgers of 2024. That's to be sure. But you gave up three runs and you scored two runs against a bunch of bullpen guys.
Starting point is 00:03:16 And if you want to be upset about that, because the Dodgers bullpen is not exactly the strength of the team, that might be changing, by the way. There was a certain guy who pitched today in relief that, oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. That stuff is disgusting. We're talking about Roki Sizaki, of course. But I'm having a real hard time getting worked up about this one, guys. I really am.
Starting point is 00:03:39 I will be disappointed and then some if they don't win at least one of these next two. But outside of that, just stay healthy. That's probably the biggest negative that comes out of this game is unfortunately Josh Naylor does leave with an injury. I saw somebody in here complaining about pinch hitting for him as if Josh Nailer was fully ready to go, please watch some of the game before coming in here, I guess, and commenting on stuff. Just bad asking too much, I guess.
Starting point is 00:04:11 It's hard to get too disappointed. And you have to lose baseball games. It would be hella boring if you didn't. Yeah. And it's one of those situations where, am I weird for thinking like, oh, now they're not going to go in with like an 18 of their last 19 or I guess 20 at the last 21 or last 20. or I guess 20, that's 21 to the postseason. So I'm like, hey, now I don't feel as bad about that six days off, waiting for the ALDS to start.
Starting point is 00:04:38 So that's a silver lining if you're looking for it. But let's talk about this game in general. George Kirby goes five innings, three hits, two runs, both earned with a walk and 10Ks. He does give up the home run to Kike Hernandez, who, I don't know, every time I watch him play seems to have big hits. And then I look at his stats and he looks like a terrible baseball player. know what it is. It's so weird. He's the opposite of eye test is what he is. Enrique Hernandez is the guy that you watch play and you think, man, that guy just always comes through. And then if he actually
Starting point is 00:05:11 has him on your roster, you're like, boy, we can really replace this guy. We can really do better. I thought George Kirby was fantastic tonight. The first inning was the best inning I've seen the Seattle Mariner throw this year. He was absolutely painting with that fastball and through a couple of really nice secondary pitches as well. Second inning also good. Then in the third inning, a play that I'm not saying Gino Swarres should have made the play, but it's a play he can make. It's a play he can make. And, you know, he doesn't end up doing it. The throw ends up just being a little bit late. Yeah. A good fastball just happens to run in on Hernandez's hands and he puts a great swing on it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:52 side of that George Kirby was phenomenal. And I am gaining so much confidence in George Kirby as we get deeper into the year. But I will say this too. Watching him in that first inning also gave me the, oh my gosh, this guy could be special in relief. Oh my goodness, could this guy really be something? And we should probably talk about the relievers because my biggest concern from the pitching today, since that two winning effort, Edward Bizarro has not been the same. same pitcher. And maybe something that is just, hey, you got to give up runs. You're due. you've been so good all year. But he just doesn't seem to have the same christness that he had prior to that two winning game. And I think honestly what it might be, I can't prove it. Just guessing maybe getting used the day after that two winning thing might have affected. That's my biggest concern with the pitching staff. But I thought George Kirby was fantastic.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Yeah. And again, it's one of those situations where, you can't use only non-leverage arms. You don't have enough of those to get through this game, right? So it's not a bad decision to go to Bizarro there or anything like that. It's more just to, hey, he seems like he's a little fatigued at this point, which honestly we saw. I just hope it doesn't turn into kind of snowballing at this point in this season because he is one of your most important guys.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Again, I realize that you're going to have some starters, as you just mentioned with George Kirby, go to the bullpen and it kind of gives you a little bit more, good feelings about putting guys in that situation in relief, but you still, you need Edward Bizarro to be himself if you want to do what you want to do in this
Starting point is 00:07:33 postseason. So, yeah, that's something that we'll keep monitoring moving forward. I'd just give him a couple days off for sure and just kind of see how that goes. But Luke Jackson looked pretty dang good. Gabe Spire pitched well. Yes, you like, Amina, obviously just got through the one, two, three
Starting point is 00:07:49 in the top half of the ninth, but you could tell, I think both teams in one we're just like, yeah, let's just get through this game. There was no urgency from either team. Just no urgency whatsoever. And I get it. I absolutely get it. It is the flaw in baseball, unfortunately, is the ultimate strength of it is that every
Starting point is 00:08:10 game matters, but the ultimate fly is, no, that's actually not true. It's not actually true. It's not actually true that every single game matters. And when you get to these type of games, you know, I appreciate that they're playing their starters for the most parts. It just felt like a game where they wanted to get it over with. And that's okay. That is a okay.
Starting point is 00:08:35 And I'm not saying anybody wasn't trying. I'm not saying anything like that. But there was a real lack of urgency from really the second inning on. And I'm struggling to get upset about it. Yeah, I am too. I mean, I realize, like, again, it's, It feels like a massive come down from the previous three days. Sure.
Starting point is 00:08:55 Married's baseball. So I can understand a little bit of like, oh, my God, you're so excited. You've built all this momentum and then you kind of lay a dud like you did today. But at the same time, you have to have at least some sort of a bigger scope to be like, all right, they're not going to win every game. We just need to get through this healthy, number one, which, again, we're refreshing the news on Josh Nailer at this point. We'll let you guys know if we see anything. or if you see something while we're talking our heads off, please let us know in the chat
Starting point is 00:09:26 because I'm interested to see what the update is from Dan Wilson on that one. The main thing that I have and mentioning George Kirby and the confidence in him is it's weird because Luis Castillo's last start in a bigger game for sure. Yeah, but against a worst team. Much worse. Yeah, it gave me a lot of confidence. So it's like almost like we're back to the same discussion. what does your playoff rotation look like at this point,
Starting point is 00:09:52 especially in those first two games at home in the ALDS? I don't envy Dan Wilson in this situation because there's one guy who's going to feel really disappointed that he doesn't get a guaranteed start, right? Like, you know, there's a good chance. Most Division Series aren't sweeps. Most of the time they go four or five games. And you'd like to sweep.
Starting point is 00:10:14 And, hey, the guy who doesn't has a good chance to pitch game one of the ALS. If you win that. So that's fun. Do you? What's the chance you go to four? Like I know you just mentioned in the ALDS. Yeah. You're going for.
Starting point is 00:10:31 There's the Seattle Mariners aren't starting anybody on short rest. Now, some of that depends. And I should have done my research here. I don't know if the mariners have their day off between. No, they play Saturday and Sunday. I'm pretty dang sure.
Starting point is 00:10:48 They do. So they get that one day. day off there. You're going to go for. I have an update on Josh Naylor. According to Dan Wilson, he left the game with minor groin tightness and it was a precautionary move. Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:04 But again, what do we actually believe? I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. My guess is we have seen Josh Naylor play his last regular season. Regular season. For the Seattle Mariners in 2025.
Starting point is 00:11:16 I don't know if he's going to play for him in 2026. let's talk about that nailer stuff in the second half because I think there's a long conversation to have about yeah that sounds good okay um so i kind of want to finish up the pitching conversation before we get to that um go ahead no I was just going to say it's it's it probably doesn't matter because you're going to pitch all four of those guys but you really want to take that big lead right? Right. You want to go in and go into either, my guess right now is it's probably going to be Cleveland, although they didn't play a very good baseball game today. Detroit didn't play. It is so pillow fighting for these final playoff spots in both the National League and the American League. Houston lost, by the way. They're probably not going to the playoffs, which is. Yeah, it's, it's probably done so. And I have mixed emotions probably the wrong term for it. I really wanted to eliminate Houston. I really wanted to be the team that beat him in the postseason. You kind of did.
Starting point is 00:12:22 You kind of did. You did, but there would be something about them beat, beep, beep, it into the playoffs and just beating the crap out of them in the ALDS, too. That really would have warmed the cuckles of my heart. But that, you know, you want to have that two-oh lead. So it does matter here. And so much of this is going to depend on how healthy Brian Wu is, of course. Absolutely going to be.
Starting point is 00:12:47 the ultimate factor because if he's good to go, if he throws like a two-winning sim game on Tuesday or Wednesday, and he's just like 98 and has the same movement on that stuff, he's pitching game one. He's pitching game one. He's earned that right to be the top starter. And it's not just earned that right. It makes the Seattle Mariners better to have Brian Wu as that top starter too.
Starting point is 00:13:11 I don't know. I feel like I'd still go Logan Gilbert, even if Wu is 100%. Interesting. Yeah. I can't disagree all that much just because it depends on what you're looking for. It upside and floor. Upside, give me Gilbert. Floor, give me whip.
Starting point is 00:13:28 That's fair. Which is a weird thing to say for a guy who has a strained pectoral. But it's just crazy. And then, oh, by the way, you have Luis Castillo. And oh, by the way, you have George Kirby. And that's my thing. Luis Castillo is 100% the game two starter. me. Has to be. Has to be because it doesn't make any sense to not pitch him at home the way this
Starting point is 00:13:50 is gone. It just doesn't. And, and I'm not saying that I have like zero confidence in Castillo pitching well on the road. His last two roadstarts were fantastic. There's something different about him pitching in front of these fans. This is going to be a really interesting decision. I don't envy Dan Wilson. I don't think there's an exact right order except for the fact that Luis Castillo has to start one of those first two games. Yeah, I completely agree. Yeah, but it's a good problem to have at this point because we, what, three, four weeks ago, it was like, uh-oh, are we going to have enough guys that we feel confident in at this point?
Starting point is 00:14:31 And that's a position, a lot of other playoff teams are in right now. So I'm happy with how that's come around. And again, we always start with the start because that's the most important part about this team. So if starting pitching is going well, this team is going to be special. come postseason time and I'm really excited for it. So Mariners lose this one three to two against the Los Angeles Dodgers, drop the first game of the final regular season series at home against a National League team, which is weird to me.
Starting point is 00:15:02 You should be like, I don't know why. Are the Mariners the only team not playing divisional games? It feels like Merritt and Dodgers, of course. Well, the Rangers are playing the Guardians and there's a few. Tigers are playing the Red Sox. We really should. It's impossible because there's five in each division. It's impossible.
Starting point is 00:15:21 When expansion happens, we will have something where we have four divisions of four. And you will have everybody finished a year with their division. And that's the way it should. Yep. Absolutely. All right. When we come back, we're going to talk about the offense a little bit. There was some good, but a lot of bad as well.
Starting point is 00:15:40 I think a lot of people in the chat mentioning that it, looked like a lot of guys that were trying to pad their stats before the end of the season, which I don't necessarily think is a terrible thing, to be honest. There's nothing much more to play for at this point. So just that's kind of what you're playing for. Let's be completely honest. And as Chris mentioned yesterday, a lot of arbitration numbers are determined by your end of season stats. So that's the incentive at this point.
Starting point is 00:16:07 And that's okay. As long as it doesn't, as long as it when it turns into the games do matter, you go back to complimentary, move the line, keep it going, team at bats, as they say. So I'm okay with that mentality, but that's kind of what it looked like. And I think I agree with, you know, the consensus on that point. But we'll talk about the offense on the other side of this one. You're listening to the Mariners Postcast with Anderson Hurst and Chris Crawford. It's simulcasting on Sports Radio 93.3KJRFM.

If you want more Mariners content, of course, if you're
Starting point is 00:19:21 not aware of our locked on model here on Locked on Mariners, Chris and I break down every single game right after the fact on the Mariners postcast. We like to think of it as the go-to post game show for Seattle Mariners Baseball. Appreciate everyone who's been with us all season. It's been an awesome ride.
Starting point is 00:19:37 Thank you, Matthew. I appreciate that. And then you got Ty and Colby, who do an excellent job with the Locked on Mariners podcast. It's a daily show during the day, kind of a 30,000, thousand foot view looking at bigger picture decision making, all that stuff, kind of what they think is going on with the Seattle Mariners, different perspectives. And we got you covered all the way on your local baseball team as we look to make a big,
Starting point is 00:20:00 long playoff run. Yes, that is a pun from my ad read. Chris Crawford's with me, Anderson Hurst. Mariners lose this one, three to two to drop the first game of the Dodgers series. Chris, let's talk about the offense a little bit. do you agree with my assessment before the break there that it seemed like a lot of guys were just trying to kind of go for individual stats today you got the Josh Nailer with a 30th stolen base Gino was looking for his 50th home run I think Randy's looking for his 30th as well so um was that your kind of assessment as well minus one player and that one player disappointed me outside of Mr. Big Dumper I think there were some individual stats stuff going on I think there was some stuff where
Starting point is 00:20:44 guys are making sure they get to those numbers and I don't hate it. And I saw some people in the comments mentioned and it's like, oh, you can really screw up your swing and stuff like that. They know what they're doing. They know what they're doing, guys. And I understand it. We have concerns just from, you know, daily life being a Seattle Mariner fan. But no, this is different.
Starting point is 00:21:10 And the one guy I was disappointed didn't swing for the fence more was Calvert. rally. Right? I get it. I like that he's keeping the same approach. I would have loved to him swing that especially that now look, Roki Sasaki looked fantastic today and really filthy, filthy, filthy stuff. And boy, did I feel nostalgia seeing a Japanese pitcher named Suzuki throwing fork balls in Seattle, Washington? Boy, did I ever feel that. That first forkball just goes right down the middle of the plate. And I get your taking it to give it a look. But oh my God. Oh my God. To say that was your hitable pitch. And then that double, a little more loft on that swing. You maybe get a chance to lift it over. I mean,
Starting point is 00:21:57 that's just not who he is, though. It's no. And that's why Cal Raleigh is such a special player. But me as a fan, I want 63 so freaking bad. And let's just be honest now, guys, it's unlikely. Very unlikely. 62 still within reach. And I will be shocked if he doesn't hit at least one more home run over these next two games. Because when you hit 60 over 160, you got a pretty good chance to hit one over two. I want to talk about the Josh Naler thing. For those who missed it, let me just quick update.
Starting point is 00:22:30 Then we'll get your thoughts. He apparently Dan Wilson said after the game that he was taken out with groin tightness, slight groin tightness, I guess was the official wording. And it was precautionary. So it seems to me like he could have stayed in the game if it was a bigger situation. I'm curious on your thoughts on that. Was it the right move to take him out? Yeah, 100% it was the right decision to take him out.
Starting point is 00:22:55 And I apologize. Talking about a player making a huge mistake when they leave with injury has kicking horse down adjacent feels to it. Yeah. It's a 3-1 game. or excuse me, it's a two-one game. Runners on second and third for Gino Suarez, who hits a sack fly that should easily score,
Starting point is 00:23:16 easily score Calbert Rally. I'm going to keep calling him Calvert. He's Calbert when he doesn't Homer. Josh Naylor attempts to go to third there, and I will just tell you this right now, if this game meant anything, I'm throwing a fit. It's a little bonkers how he's not safe there.
Starting point is 00:23:36 Let's be clear about it. about that, right? It's a weird little, because he beats the throw and there's some, I think for a microcosm of a second, he ends up off the bag and blah, blah, blah. Why? Why are you going? You have to know your limitations. And I think Josh Naylor might have been feeling himself a little bit there. I think Josh Naylor might have been. Wasn't it right after the 30th stolen base? It was right after the 30th stolen base. And look, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, get it. And he's been so wonderful for the Seattle Mariners, but man, he can't make base running mistakes in games that matter like that. You can't. You cannot give up. The Seattle Mariners either
Starting point is 00:24:18 tie or win this game. If not, the Seattle Mariners are still playing for the one seed, if not for that mistake. And I like aggressive. We've talked a lot about how we like aggressive. But aggressive doesn't mean that stupid is okay. And that was stupid. It was stupid to try to get to third there. And I'm glad it doesn't end up being something that affects their postseason chances whatsoever. I mean, unless you really do believe that the one seat is a huge deal, I do not. I just don't. I just don't think it's all that important. Boy, oh, boy, if this game mattered, if you're making an out on the base like that,
Starting point is 00:24:59 we're having a much different conversation. Yeah, and to be fair, there's been a lot of other players that have made similar to that. But that wasn't things this one or that are the ones that happened before. Yeah. No, and it doesn't. And I'm just going to say the same thing. Look, I'll take the good with the bad. I would rather have aggressive base running that you're trying to
Starting point is 00:25:22 continuously put pressure on the other team. And when you're doing that, a lot of the times it's going to help you, right? And then there's going to be a few times where it won't. And this is one of those situations. I agree, similar to when Julio gets picked off or something like that, he's kind of like looking for the next step or looking to time the pitchers wind up and then he get picked off at first base. This is a similar situation, right?
Starting point is 00:25:44 But I'll take the good with the bad. And the thing about Josh Naler is what I love about him is he plays baseball at one speed. He plays it at one speed. He can't slow up. And a lot of these guys, but you know what I mean? Like it's not like, oh, okay, I'm going to take my foot off the pedal. It's like, it's a game that we've already clinched the two seed. everything's kind of there.
Starting point is 00:26:07 Dodgers aren't playing for much either. I'm just going to, you know, go station to station here, right? He's always looking for that edge, no matter what, no matter what the situation is, if you're up by 10, in the first game of the season or if you're in an absolute playoff hunt. And that's one of the things I absolutely love about who he is. And in that situation, yes, it was probably a little too aggressive to try and go for that. But I'll still take it.
Starting point is 00:26:32 Like, honestly, and I don't know. I think he was kind of feeling it. before his his groin before so that isn't what injured him um but that also tells me that if he tried to do that after he was kind of grimacing and feeling his groin that hopefully hopefully then that means he's kind of okay in the long term so yeah i mean there i'm okay with it sure i get that my my pushback i suppose would be i'm okay with aggressive base running from josh naler because they don't hold them at first base i'm okay with aggressive base running because they don't hold them at second base. I'm okay with aggressive base running from players like Julio and Randy and a few
Starting point is 00:27:12 others because they have Maserati speed. Josh Naylor is legitimately one of the slowest players in baseball. And if you know you're going to get there, if you're taking advantage of a crappy arm, if you're taking advantage of a third baseman who's not expecting you to go, I'm okay with that. But you have to be safe. There is a difference between, it's like revving up a Maserati with Julio Rodriguez and eh, you know what, you got caught trying to steal the Maserati. So it's a lot different than trying to steal the 1984 Ford Focus, right? Like, it's just not the same thing to me. So it's a bigger issue for you because he's slow.
Starting point is 00:27:49 That's the only reason. Yeah, it's a big issue for me that he's slow. Like the fact that Josh Naylor cannot beat an average throw is a big problem. The reason why he steals these bases guys is because he gets such a good time off of the bag off of the pickoff throw and because of the fact they don't hold him they do not hold Josh Naylor a lot that's what he takes advantage of there's no not holding him on a fly ball to center field guys that's just not how that works the issue for me is that you have to sometimes just know your limitations know the fact that you are putting yourself in a position and what
Starting point is 00:28:30 how much does that really help getting the runner to third in that situation it does But like I said, he plays it at once whenever he can get an extra bag. I equate it to getting picked off at first base, honestly. It's a mental error. And I don't view the Julio getting picked off at first base. And Josh, they're trying to take the extra bag as any different. Interesting. I would respectfully disagree.
Starting point is 00:28:53 But I respect the viewpoint in terms of the fact that an outs and out too, right? Like it's still, I just see so much more upside in Julio Rodriguez taking too wide of lead at first base compared to Josh Naylor trying to get to third in a one run game with two outs when you can't guarantee that big dumper who is not exactly fleet of foot either is going to score a run. Yeah. I mean, it's it's I just don't see how it is any different. I'm just like it's this. It's it's a ceiling versus floor, man. It's ceiling versus floor. The ceiling of Julio Rodriguez being able to take a lead there and score on a double down the feeling is the same because it's both taking one one base.
Starting point is 00:29:36 No, it's not. Because when Julio Rodriguez takes that big lead and there's a double down the gap, he has a chance to score. Whereas Josh Rayler, Naler getting to third base, the only way it changes what you're going to score the run is if there's a wild pitch or something along the line, which is incredibly unlikely compared to Julio Rodriguez scoring on a double down the line. There's a massive difference, in my personal opinion, between the two. Yeah. I, maybe it's because he does it. so much you just get used to it. We're going to just have to bear knuckle for all this.
Starting point is 00:30:07 We're not used to losing, guys. It's okay. We've won 17 to the last 18 games, so we had to fight about something. Yeah. I don't know. It's negligible. I get it, but I just, at the end of the day, I'm fine with it. Like, I'm not fine with it. It's a mistake that he made. I understand what you're saying for sure. Yeah. It's, but it's, again, I'm going to take the good with the bad. And that's kind of.
Starting point is 00:30:33 what being an aggressive base running team is like. And I think that's more of just the way that they're coached more than anything else at this point because this has not been who the Mariners have been and not who Josh Nailer was before he came to Seattle, right? I think a lot of this is how they're being coached. So, yeah, the guy had like, I think 10 steals before he got to Seattle and he's stolen something like 19 big. 11 stolen bases in Arizona.
Starting point is 00:30:58 And he has 19 for 19 and 54 games. You know what that is, by the way? Let's say 57 stolen base pace. 57 stolen base pace. That's crazy. Yep. All right. Mariners lose this one,
Starting point is 00:31:13 three to two. If you want more Mariners content, you can find it on the Locked on Mariner's podcast with Tide Angazzoz and Colby Patineau. They do an excellent job breaking down all the scenarios. They can look ahead to playoff matchups and maybe a little playoff rotation talk. That's always my thing.
Starting point is 00:31:27 I've been talking about that for the whole year to be completely honest. So anytime that, discussion comes up, I click instantly. So check it out. They're awesome with that kind of stuff. 93.3KJRFM has you covered as well during the day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. all the way Monday through Friday, please check it out. If you're a Husky fan, you'd probably be listening to the game tomorrow as well because Udub, Ohio State should be an interesting game.
Starting point is 00:31:52 I don't know if it's going to be close, but it should be an interesting game. After watching the Udub not being able to cover Washington State receivers, I do not have a lot of confidence if I'm being honest with you, Andrews. But I hope I'm wrong. Hope I'm wrong. Yeah, yeah, we'll see what ends up happening. Lots of sports right now. Seahawks win yesterday. You know, the crack and have their preseason going. Sounders are going as well. They play against Vancouver on Saturday.
Starting point is 00:32:15 So it's a great time to be a Seattle sports fan. And we appreciate you spending the time with us. Because, you know, what is it? You're going to lose baseball games three to two against the Dodgers. You're not going to win every single game. I'm, I'm going to turn into, you know, after us fighting, I'm going to agree with Chris here. It's better to lose them now.
Starting point is 00:32:35 It's better to lose them. No question about it. And tomorrow you've got Logan Gilbert going up against Tyler Glass now, which is a pretty awesome pitching matchup. That is fun. Hey, if you want to go to the game and shut Dodger fans up, by the way, holy crap, guys. Come on.
Starting point is 00:32:53 Let's show that home field advantage if you have a chance. And I know this is hypocritical because I'm not going to the game. I can't go to the game. But if you can go to the game, and respectfully make it a Seattle Mariner homefield crowd, I sure would appreciate it. Yeah, maybe now we know why it was sold out so fast before the Rocky series.
Starting point is 00:33:14 That's not a bad thing, right? The Dodgers have a lot of players you want to watch, aka sure. Sure. All right. We went a little long today, but appreciate all you all, hanging out with us.
Starting point is 00:33:22 We'll be back with you. Same time tomorrow's 640, first pitch. Have a good rest of your night, everyone. We'll talk later. Go Mariners. Chris Crawford, last word. Go Mariners. Thank you.
