Starting point is 00:00:48 from me and Colby even more and help support the show you can check out our Patreon all you have to do to check that out is click the link in the description of this episode so on today's show we're going to talk about the latest on Harry Ford a couple articles dropped about him yesterday with some quotes from Harry himself as well as Jerry to Poto. And we'll also tell you why we're not just fans of the Mariners this summer. But Colby, let's start here with George Kirby, who obviously started last night's five to one loss to the Baltimore Orioles, five innings pitch for George, eight hits, two earn runs, three strikeouts, one walk, 95 pitches.
Starting point is 00:01:25 Nice to see him get into the mid-90s there on the pitch count, nine hard hit balls. we talked about this a little bit yesterday that you know whenever he's faced the orioles it's been kind of one extreme end of the spectrum or the other for him right he either dominates the orioles or they dominate him and that wasn't really the case yesterday it was kind of more middle ground he wasn't necessarily good he also wasn't necessarily bad he was just kind of like right down the middle yesterday so kirby obviously his night ended with blood dripping down his chin after he was hit by a comebacker that thankfully at least bounced off of his hand or his glove first and then eventually into his face. Seems like they have fortunately avoided the worst on that front. You know, your mind kind of immediately goes to, did he break his jaw, as he can cuss, stuff like that. But it seems like he is walking away from that situation with just a cut lip and a nice little bruise on his face. according to the reporters that met with George after the game. So he said he's okay.
Starting point is 00:02:35 It doesn't seem like he's going to miss any time. So that is great. So, Colby, let's talk a little bit about just what you saw from him last night, what you've seen from him overall in his first three starts since returning to the major league level. Yeah, certainly was his best start of the three, which is not a high bar to clear. It was kind of an interesting night because he should have,
Starting point is 00:02:57 in theory, had a one, two, three first inning. And unfortunately, a home plate on fire misses a strike three call. And then J.P. Crawford has the routinist play you can imagine that somehow gets ruled a hit that bounces off of his glove. And yeah, and at that point, you know, the inning shot, even though Kirby did a decent job to only give up one in that frame. But at that point, he had thrown 30 pitches. And a guy coming off of his injury with, you know, he hasn't pitched, he hasn't thrown more than 70 in any other start. And so you're thinking that that's going to be a really short night for him. And, you know, he managed to kind of grid his way through five, you know,
Starting point is 00:03:37 and so that was good. He was able to throw 95 pitches and the Velo maintained for pretty much the entire night. He's still, you know, in the last couple hitters, he was still throwing 95, 96 miles an hour. So fastball Velo seems to be there. The off-speed stuff was better yesterday, not quite where it needs to be. but we did see, I think, a pretty good George Kirby last night. Again, you know, if JP makes a routine play, if the home plate umpire does his job, we might be talking about six innings of one-run ball from George Kirby last night.
Starting point is 00:04:14 So, yeah, it's one of those things where was he, you know, furious George? Is this like the elite George Kirby we get to see, you know, a handful of times a year? No, was this good George Kirby? pretty close, I would say. So that's certainly encouraging. Over the last three starts, or first three starts, I should say, he's had some difficulty finishing off innings in where he'll get two quick outs and then, you know,
Starting point is 00:04:42 he'll give up a single and then he'll get to two strikes and then you can't put the guy away and he'll give up a single. And next thing you know, you know, the inning that was going to be over on eight pitches is all of a sudden a 17 pitch inning and they're threatening to score. So we saw that in the fifth inning yesterday. So it's kind of one of those things where the Mariners in general over the last couple weeks, I've had a hard time getting that third out and getting that strikeout when they get to 02 counts and all that.
Starting point is 00:05:10 So I don't know if the league is, you know, is that just a focus of the league is whatever, or if there's something specifically with each of these guys. But yeah, I thought George was pretty darn good last night again, not quite, you know, A grade George Kirby. But that was, you know, I'd say solid B. B plus, George. It's not as many whiffs, not as much swing and miss as you would like. But, yeah, again, the first inning skews the entire thing a little bit.
Starting point is 00:05:42 But over the last four innings, he was really good. And again, he should have been really good through five. It just, unfortunately, J. surprised to do too much on a ground ball. And it cost him, again, at least one run and at least 15. are so pitches. So, you know, unfortunately, the way the offense is swinging it right now is just, that's just too much to overcome.
Starting point is 00:06:04 So. Yeah, very little margin for error right now. What's that? Very little margin for error right now. Yeah. And you pretty much used your up, used yours up in the first inning. And then the couple of times you had an opportunity to get back in the game. You had a worry Falco up at the plane.
Starting point is 00:06:20 Wow, that didn't work. Yeah, I know. I know. Yeah, he should not be hitting two in this lineup. anymore if ever there was a game that proved the point but don't worry because cow rollies leading off the ninth and we might only be down by two yeah instead of you know runners on first and third and cow rallies up yeah good move dan good move uh but yeah george was was pretty solid last night i would say yeah that also could have come into play a little bit more there in that first game against the
Starting point is 00:06:48 twins except for the fact that you know the twins would have scored what seven or whatever in that inning but it was like oh yeah sure glad that you know Cal Raleigh isn't even guaranteed in a bat in the you know what the 10th inning the 11th inning whenever it was I just I want to forget that game anyway moving on yeah George again I just kind of felt like he was like pretty much in the middle like he was good in some innings and at some points in this game and then like kind of unravel on him a little bit there and what his last inning when they got the second run off of him but overall I felt like just in general he kind of got a bit unlucky.
Starting point is 00:07:25 I mean, for a while in this game, the Marys had a large advantage over the Orioles and like the expected batting average department. But that eventually kind of turned around and the Orioles wound up with a 307 expected batting average to the Maris 290 expected batting average. But, but yeah, still, you know, there was a few C&I singles.
Starting point is 00:07:46 Obviously, you give up a lot of hard contact. Don't get me wrong. But there were, you know, again, like you mentioned, like the JP play, the little flip single, from Adley, like all that. So, yeah, it's definitely a step in the right direction for George. I would say that. And hopefully you can build upon that his next start, which will be against the angels,
Starting point is 00:08:04 I believe, on Sunday. Yeah, I think so. Yeah. All right. We are going to talk about Harry Ford in just a moment. Before we get into our next segment here, I want to give you guys an update on our Feeding America fundraiser. We have officially blown pass our goal of 2,500. We are already at $2,914 raised. Wow. Thank you guys so much for your generosity.
Starting point is 00:10:05 I want to give some shoutouts here. Colby, what do you got to add? Just, you know, quote my girl, Shania Twain, that don't impress me much. Last time we were at 15,000. It took six weeks, but you know, whatever. Anonymous had a $25 donation yesterday. The big one, though, yesterday. Dylan Moore and Joyer, $500.
Starting point is 00:10:30 Wow. I could be wrong, but I believe Dylan Moore and Joyer might have my autograph on a Dylan Moore baseball card. Oh, is that who that? I feel like maybe they might be the same person. I don't know for sure. Is that who that is? All right.
Starting point is 00:10:44 Maybe. Maybe let us know. Let us know. Anonymous with $5. Alex with 50 says, glad you boys are doing this again and glad I can support you. you again. Thank you so much, Alex. Anonymous with $25. Alex with 100, Dane. That's a great name. $50. Anonymous with 20. I love Colby and Ty. I tune in to every episode. I love what you guys are
Starting point is 00:11:10 doing for a good cause as well. Go Mariners. Absolutely. Go M's. Thank you so much. Bryce with $20 says, thanks for doing this guys. Tom with $20. Dalton with $60. $20 says, well, that didn't take very long. Maybe this was the donation that got us to $2,500. It's a beautiful community we have here. It absolutely is, for the most part. Not a miss with $20. Says, enjoying the podcast.
Starting point is 00:11:38 Mark with $5. Skip with $129. You guys are great and make being a Mariners fan a little more tolerable. It's not always easy, as you know. The Ms are like an X that you know will bring. break your heart in the end, but you keep coming back because you love them. Hopefully not this year, though. I believe.
Starting point is 00:11:59 Awesome thing you are doing here. And I hope you raise lots of money for the cause. Go Cal number 29. So that's why the 129. Anonymous with $10. Anonymous with $50. Amy with $100. Go Meras.
Starting point is 00:12:12 Love that you guys are doing this. And Rob with $100. Thanks for doing this for such a good cause. Cheers. Go Ms. Thank you guys so much for all your support. now we're at the point where let's just see how far we can take this thing right colby sure um interestingly we haven't even talked about what the cause is yeah so let's talk about it oh yeah uh you guys probably
Starting point is 00:12:35 know this by now but uh in case you haven't listened to the last couple shows um yeah tie and i are partnering up with feeding america again we did this a couple years ago we raised or you guys raised $15,000 plus to give meals to food insecure people. One in five children right now in our country are food insecure. And with school being out now for the summer for a lot of places and obviously the rising price of groceries right now, that number is probably going to go up over the next few months as kids lose access to their one guaranteed meal a day. but also there are more than 50 million adults in America who are food insecure. They do not know where their next meal is coming from.
Starting point is 00:13:20 And we can help. Eating America is a great organization. They take every dollar they raise and they turn it into 10 meals to people who desperately need it. You can't get a better bang for your buck in the charity world than that. So we love partnering with them. And yeah, like I said, we did this a couple years ago. We raised $15,000 plus dollars. That was off of a goal of $500.
Starting point is 00:13:40 dollars. We're bigger show now. We've added a lot of subscribers and a lot of listeners along the way. And so, yeah, I thought 2,500 would be a, you know, solid place to shoot for. And then we'll see where we land. But yeah, it took you guys less than 48 hours. And we're on the March to 5K. So, yeah, it's a great organization. Obviously, they do a great thing. If you guys want to donate, but you can't. That's okay. You can still help out just by simply hitting the subscribe button. Every new subscriber we get from now until the end of our fundraiser, which is going to be the All Star Break, we will donate 10 cents,
Starting point is 00:14:20 which is one meal to feeding America. And already right now, I think we've added about 50 subscribers in the last two days, and that is 50 meals going out to people just from clicking a button. So there's a lot of ways you can help, tell your friends, tell your families, put the episodes out on social,
Starting point is 00:14:36 whatever, tweet the link, you know, however you guys can help. there's a lot of ways to help if you can't actually afford to donate right now. And every donation matters. It's not just the $500 ones. You know, the $5 ones,
Starting point is 00:14:49 that's 50 meals right there, just for five bucks. $1.10 if you want to just donate a meal. Absolutely. Yeah, it really is a very cool organization. And it's great that we get to do this again. And it's great that the response has already been what has been. So thank you guys so very much.
Starting point is 00:15:06 And, you know, Ty and I have talked about a few. incentives and we hit certain marks. This might happen, but we haven't nailed anything down yet. So stay tuned for that. But at the rate, you guys are going, we're going to have to do something. Yeah. Because this is like $1,500 a day. If you do that for six weeks, which I'm not expecting you guys to.
Starting point is 00:15:25 But if you did, that'd be like $70,000. I'm bad at math. So what of you in the comments below do that? Yeah, sure. Yeah, $1,500 an episode. What is that equate to over six? weeks um 50,000 dollars, I think, give or take, but sure. Yeah. So obviously, you know, we're not, we're not expecting that. But, uh, yeah, the way you guys are going. We're going to have to come up
Starting point is 00:15:49 with something. But again, thank you very much for your donation so far. And again, if you can, please consider donating. If you already have or you can't subscribe or, you know, just get, get the word out there about the fundraiser we're doing. We'll see how high we can take this thing. Absolutely. All right. So we've been wondering if, uh, now that Cole Young is, uh, if Harry Ford might be behind him. But Daniel Kramer and Adam Jude both wrote articles yesterday about Harry. He met with the media. I don't know if it was yesterday or the day before or something like that.
Starting point is 00:16:23 I know Adam Jude was in Tacoma the night of Cole Young's last game or the night of his walkoff. I don't know. So he's been around the rain ears. So maybe it's from then. I don't know. But he did get a chance to talk with, with Harry and the media also got to talk about Harry with Jerry Depoto as well. Jerry said quote he has put himself talking about Ford
Starting point is 00:16:49 in the discussion that when you need the help he is the next guy in line. He also said teams don't typically get through a season with two catchers. Somebody is going to need time down. Somebody gets dinged up or beat up. Somebody needs two weeks off whatever it is. We've been fortunate in that way simply because Cal has been so durable over time and Garver in its time with us has been incredibly durable. Hopefully that continues, by the way.
Starting point is 00:17:15 Hopefully, you know, if Ferry Ford does make it to the major leagues, it's not because of an injury specifically to Cal Raleigh. DeBotta was asked about potentially transitioning Harry to a different position, as we've talked about a lot in order to get him more playing time at the major league level. Jerry said, you lose the study, you lose the focus, you lose the working with the pitcher because on that day instead of being inside, working through game plan, sitting and conspiring with a starter and a pitching coach on a pregame plan for how they're going to handle it or just being a fly on the wall. He's out doing his pregame on taking ground balls or fly balls
Starting point is 00:17:53 while you're trying to maintain your offensive approach. It's just a lot. So it seems like the mirrors really want to keep him catching. And so Harry said that, you know, they haven't talked about it since last year when, of course, they had him try playing left field for about eight games down in double a, Harry continued by saying, so yeah, I guess catching is the plan. That's my plan.
Starting point is 00:18:16 I'm always going to fight to catch. I can play outfield if someone needs me to go out there, but I'm a catcher. At the end of the day, it kind of just seems like Harry Ford is a trade asset for the bears this summer. And Jerry said that, you know, not surprisingly,
Starting point is 00:18:33 teams do fall over themselves when talking about Harry and the fact that he's close and he's a catcher. and, you know, incredibly athletic, all that. He says, it's like, that's, that's what you're looking for. And it just so happens that he is playing behind the best catcher in the world right now and doesn't leave for a lot of reps. So, yeah, it kind of seems like we are heading to, Harry Ford's going to be one of the bigger trade chips, if not the biggest trade ship. The mayor is kind of dangle this summer. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:04 I mean, there's a lot of posturing there. They also said, you know, he's our guy. like yeah we've we've we've gotten calls about harry but he's our guy and they've talked about how like well you know after this year there's you know garber's contract is is over and cows can't catch every single day and he's not going to catch every day for the length of his contract so board and him can split the job and maybe cow can learn some first base or he could dh more or whatever blah blah blah so they're going to posture a lot like that it we we've talked about this really like the way that Harry Ford is most likely to help the Mariners at this stage is via trade.
Starting point is 00:19:42 Like he's going to get you something nice via trade. Now what he can get you via trade might be significantly higher than what he could get you in the winter. So we'll see how that all plays out. But yeah, this is definitely sounding like, you know, hey, we're going to keep Ford behind the plate because we want teams to get a look at him catching. And because we've also talked about this, Harry could be a very, polarizing prospect across baseball because if you think he can catch, then there is a lot less pressure on that bat to do what it's doing right now. And if you don't think he can catch, then you kind of have to believe that what he's doing right now,
Starting point is 00:20:21 some of the changes that he's made are sustainable and they're going to lead to offensive production. So, yeah, that will greatly impact whether or not you think. Because if you don't think he can catch, then we don't even know where he can play. So we're basically banking on the bat. That being said, at this stage, if you don't know if Harry Ford can catch or not, you're probably not good at your job. Duke can catch.
Starting point is 00:20:43 He's not going to be a gold glover, but he'll be fine back there. The number of garbage catchers we see play at the Major League level right now, Harry is more than capable of catching. And if you don't know that yet, you're not good at your job. So we'll see what happens there. But, yeah, it doesn't sound like Harry is coming up anytime soon. And it does sound like the Mariners are prepping him as a, you know, as a selling point this summer to be aggressive and be like, look, we can give you a catcher who can start for you tomorrow and immediately upgrade the
Starting point is 00:21:13 hardest position to cover in baseball. So yeah. Yeah, I mean, and that's, you know, that's bittersweet because, you know, I've been big Harry Ford fans pretty much from day one. He was the guy I wanted when the Mariners drafted him. And I didn't think there was a shot that he could fall to them and all of that stuff. And you just kind of watched him slowly one level at a time. one level a year, grind his way up to the big leagues,
Starting point is 00:21:38 and he's here and you want to see that payoff. But, you know, that's baseball. And unfortunately, for Harry, no fault of his own, he's not better than Cal Raleigh and nobody is. So you're just kind of, it's a good thing for the team. Ultimately, it's a good thing for the player. You want the player to play in the big leagues. That's the goal.
Starting point is 00:21:59 And it would be great if it was for you and the team we drafted him and the team that put in all the hard work. But that's the business of baseball. and sometimes it doesn't work out like that. And as much as it would pain me to see Harry Ford make his debut for somebody other than the Mariners, you know, ultimately with the way he's playing right now, he's earned the right to, you know, play in the big leagues for somebody. And if it's not going to be you, then you should take advantage of that and cash in at the trade market.
Starting point is 00:22:28 So I got something to ask you about Harry Ford. And then we'll tell you guys another team that we're rooting for this summer outside. of the Merrers in just a moment. Starting point is 00:23:26 That's supplyhouse.com. So before we move on to our last segment of the day here, Colby, I got a question for you about Harry Ford. And it's something that I actually have already asked you over on the Patreon. But for the sake of this show, I want to ask you again, what exactly is Harry Ford's trade value at this point? It's tough to say because of the whole Ganny Catch thing. But again, you should know, right? And even if he don't think he can catch at this point, you should know that as well.
Starting point is 00:24:04 Well, my guess is if you don't think he can catch at this point, you're not going to be acquiring. for like the merits are going to give you a discount but no one should be on the fence still no so we assume that he's traded as a catcher again the the team is going to matter here the team that he goes to is going to matter here i think harry ford as a headliner maybe there's other pieces involved i don't know um i think carry ford should be enough as a headliner to get you a year plus of a good but maybe not great player. A Rania Rosarena type of player. Yeah, I think like a Randiah Rosaena type.
Starting point is 00:24:49 Probably not a Luis Castillo type. I don't think he's quite at where Noelvi was, although I don't think the gap is that big, but I think baseball does. So, yeah, I think you're probably looking at a Randy or Roserina type of where he can headline or maybe solo. a deal for that type of player, a three-win player. Now, Randy, had two full years.
Starting point is 00:25:13 But it's that type, 120 WRC plus, at least a year and a half, three-win type of guy. You know, maybe that's a Nathaniel Lowe type, although Lowe needs to be playing better to be worth Harry Ford. But, yeah, I think that's what you're looking at. If you're going to use Ford as a headliner here, maybe it's, you know, it's four years of like a really solid. solid reliever or whatever, right? But I think you're looking at a guy, you want to, if you're trading Harry Ford, you want to acquire a guy you feel really confident is going to give you
Starting point is 00:25:44 at least five wins over the course of his club control. So maybe you could trade him for a rental or two in the same deal. But maybe I think if you're just looking separately, I think a Randy or Rosarina type is a pretty good starting point for Harry Ford. Yeah. So we'll see. I mean, Tampa is a team that obviously jumps out for a lot of reasons.
Starting point is 00:26:11 So maybe that's where he winds up going. I don't know who that would specifically be for, but yeah. Yeah. Maybe it's like a Pete Fairbanks and Yandi Diaz type of deal or Brandon Lowe. Probably a bigger deal at that point. But yeah, yeah. Yep.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Tampa Bay is a team we know has interested in him in the past. And Adam Jude reiterated again that they still do. So yeah. Watch the raise. all right so on a few mailbag mondays here and there over the years we've been asked are there any other teams that you guys like do you have like a national league team are there teams that you roof for below and we've never had a good answer for that until now colby you and i are making our stance today that we are officially rooting for another team outside of the
Starting point is 00:27:02 marries this summer. And that team is, whoever is playing against the Arizona Diamondbacks the rest of the way. Well, at least until the trade deadline. Why is that? Because Arizona has multiple baths, plural rentals that make a tremendous amount of sense for the Mariners to go acquire, including fan favorite, who certainly going to be out there. And Arizona is struggling right now. They may be with, without Corbyn Burns for a long, long time. And they play
Starting point is 00:27:37 in a, not only a loaded NL West, but a loaded National League. So, could they be looking to trade some of their corner infielders who are about to be free agents at the end of this year? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:55 Perhaps. Perhaps. Is there a certain guy on that team that is famous for bringing good vibes only to whichever club that he might be on? and also plays a dire position of deed for the Seattle Marers right now. That, of course, being Josh Naylor. Of course.
Starting point is 00:28:19 Josh Naylor, also a great vibes guy, but yes, of course, we are talking about a Johanio Soros, who is slashing 231, 310, 509 right now for the Diamondback 16 homers. He's having a really good year. Nailer is also having an amazing year. 292, 349, 456, also a 123 WRC plus. He's someone that I think the Marrars were quite interested in this off season. I would imagine we will hear the connection between Naylor and the Mariners this winter as well.
Starting point is 00:28:52 Yeah. He is very much a CTZ. He's only striking out 12% of the time right now. By the way, Gino only striking out 22.9% right now. Very survivable. Yeah. So we cooked up kind of a crazy idea on CTZ on Monday. We half baked it.
Starting point is 00:29:15 Half baked it. Like we don't have like a full trade worked out or anything like that. That's up to the people who get paid to do this, though. So Jerry, Justin, get out your pen and paper. Write this down. Why not instead of just trading for a Eugenio Soros or Josh Naylor, why not trade for both? You figure out the rest, but why not trade for both?
Starting point is 00:29:39 You can afford it. And from today until the trade deadline is over, every day is a great day to trade for both Josh Naylor and a Johani Osores. And we are going to be sure to remind you of that on this show from here on out until the trade deadline is over. That's right. We will bully you from our pulpit. That's right. Because I know you guys care about our opinions. That's right.
Starting point is 00:30:09 So much. Which is why Jorge Polanco hasn't been hitting two for the last three weeks. Although, again, if you had listened to us, you might want a ball game last night. Figure it out, Jair. Anyways, have a talk with Dan. Get it figured out. Just hypothetically, let's say that something like this were to occur, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:32 Scratched out a quick lineup, you know, I don't know. if this will work or not. But a potential lineup sometime this year, probably in the playoffs. Victor Robles leading off, if you want to go that route. Doesn't really matter.
Starting point is 00:30:50 We'll see if he's actually able to make it back, but sure. Josh Naylor, Al Raleigh, Julio, Gino, Randy, D-H-E, Luke Rayleigh,
Starting point is 00:31:05 in left field, Cole Young, J.P. Crawford. That's still a more on the bench. That's Jorge Polanco on the bench. That's Mitch Garver as your backup catcher. Yeah. And it doesn't matter who that last person is,
Starting point is 00:31:22 does it? At that point, if Harry Ford is still in the organization, like maybe have him be the backup catcher. Yeah, sure. But, but yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:32 I mean, you, you, that's the best line. lineup in the American League, certainly. Pretty much regardless of what order you put them in. And honestly, with that high number of quality hitters, Julio could hit fifth or sixth, and it could make sense. Like, you could hit Cal Fourth if you really want to at that point,
Starting point is 00:31:51 because the one, two, and three are actually being, you know, filled by good players instead of Jorge Polanco right now. So, like, yeah, there's a lot of versatility there. There's a lot of fun there. Yes, there's money to figure out. Yes, you have to work out a prospect package. that's going to make sense. Arizona's probably not going to value super far away guys,
Starting point is 00:32:10 but you have a couple of close guys. Again, they're rental bats, both of them, but you're getting two. So it's really hard to figure out the trade value. Yeah, maybe Luke Rayleigh factors in here,
Starting point is 00:32:21 maybe Ben Williamson factors in here. You could trade, maybe you put Rayleigh in this deal, and Randy just stays out in left field, and Polo's the DH. And you hope that Polo figures it out. So, yeah, there are a lot of different ways you can go,
Starting point is 00:32:35 Rayleigh's going to be a guy that could factor in pretty big here, although I assume the mayors would like to keep Luke Rayleigh since he's club control for four more years. Yeah, they would like to not trade all that club control of a fairly established major leaguer for, you know, four combined months of Naylor and swears. But look, at a certain point, you just got to do what you got to do. You got to push the chips. You got to get done, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, right? And the beauty of trading for these two rentals is that you can do that without coming remotely close
Starting point is 00:33:05 to emptying the farm, right? You're talking about trading maybe one of your top 100, maybe two at most for these two guys, and then some bulk on the back end. And so at that point, that is a drop in the bucket after you make your selection at three and 35 and you continue to develop the players that are already in your system. The Mariners have anywhere between six to nine, depending on what publication of the top 100 prospects in baseball. and that doesn't include, for the most part, guys like Gerangelo Sanja and Tai Pete.
Starting point is 00:33:40 And it doesn't also include yet who you're taking at three and possibly who you're taking at 35 and what you can do with all that bonus pool money in the draft. Like, this is the year. This is the year to push your chips in right now. If we get into July and the Mariners are hovering around 500 and their four or five games out of the West, maybe you're less aggressive. And maybe we change our tune on pounding on the table for the steel. Right. The Marrars have to hold up there, which is why we're rooting for the Mariners for the next six weeks, and why we're also rooting for whoever the Arizona Diamondbacks are playing that night.
Starting point is 00:34:15 As well as whoever the Astros are playing that night. That is going to do it for our show. Go whichever team is playing against the Diamondbacks.
