It is time to preview the corner outfield for the 2024 Mariners.
And for some, including myself, this is the biggest question mark on the roster, even more so than third base.
Jared Kellnick and Tay Oscar Hernandez are out.
Mitch Hanigur and Luke Rayleigh are in.
The mayor has also acquired Dom Kanzone at the deadline this past year.
Those three guys are expected to rotate and book in Julio to start the year,
but guys like Dillimore, Sam Haggurty and Cade Marlowe, of course, may also factor in as well.
But let's start with Hanager.
And I think this is really where most of the questions and concerns stem from.
It's awesome that Hanigar is back, but he obviously hasn't been the beacon of good health.
And, you know, injury concerns are a big topic here with this roster in general.
So, Colby, what are your expectations for Mitch in 2024?
that he gets hurt, misses a significant chunk of the season,
and is basically a veteran presence that the team desperately needs
after it jettisoned most of its leadership group over the last couple years.
I think the only way you can look at McChanniger is that every game you get from him is kind of a bonus.
Like, you just can't trust this guy as unfortunate as it is because it's not a, you know,
it's not uh deter it's not it's not it's not like he doesn't want to be out there it's not that he's
you know most of the time it has a bit is all right it's been no yeah it's not like it's not like
it's not like he's sitting out with like hang nails and like oh you know i slept wrong and my neck's a little
sore so i'm going to sit out for three weeks because of that like no these are legitimate injuries uh you
know he's fallon balls off of his ankle he's you know other places uh yeah yeah you know he's he's
hurting his quad, diving back to the face.
He's taking ass balls from Jacob de Grom to the face.
Face, like, yeah. So it's not a desire issue for Mitch Hanager. It's just his body is, is, I don't even want to say his body's fragile because that gives the, the, you know, implication that these aren't soft.
Most of the time, it's not soft tissue issues. It's nothing like that, right? It's, again, it's freak. It's freak accidents that have happened, but an arm in his, he broke a bone in his forearm last spring. Like,
But as a result of all these things that have happened to him, there's now natural wear and tear on the body.
And therefore, that makes it all the more likely that he could endure a soft tissue injury or something of the like.
So yeah, Mitch, I think the only way you can really look at him is he's a bonus player.
So you have to build a lineup that doesn't require Mitch Handiger to be in it, let alone good,
in order for him to make really any sense on your roster.
And I feel like the Mariners, for the most part, have.
I don't really have that much concern about Hanager's ability to produce when he's healthy.
It's all about how often will he be healthy enough to produce.
So, yeah, you know, I think you just have to kind of look at Mitch as, you know, whatever you get from him is a bonus.
And he's not going to play every day, even if he's healthy.
You know, he's not going to play four days in a row.
you know, he's probably not going to play as much right field as you would like, ideally.
But you're going to have to put him out there at some point because Mitch Garber is your primary DH.
So Hanager, he should help.
He certainly know that he can hit a T-Mobile park that's on an issue.
The power most certainly plays.
But, yeah, obviously, you know, he's not much of a base runner anymore, unfortunately.
not much of a defender either.
He's still got a good arm.
He's got a very good arm, very accurate arm,
but he's not going to get to a lot of balls that he should.
So, yeah, you're just going to have to live with that
because the bat will play.
I feel pretty confident that Hanager is going to be a 110, 115 WRC plus guy
so long as he's healthy and how long that will be.
I don't know.
But even if he never heads to the I.L. this year,
he's not going to play 150 games.
I mean, I think everything goes really well.
You're hoping Mitch plays 80 to 90 games.
Yeah, I was going to ask you what the upside of the numbers would be
and what the upside of his season would be.
I think like 350 plate appearances, you know, hits 250, 350, 315, 320 on base,
slugs in the high 400s, something like in that range.
So, yeah, you know, he's not going to get enough at bats,
I don't think.
or at least I hope that he doesn't get enough at-bats to be like the 30 home run guy.
We know he can, but I think that's the kind of pace you're looking at.
So, yeah, whatever you get from Mitch is a bonus.
But I think I think Mitch is going to be a solid player.
It's just a matter of how often can he get into lineup to help the club.
But when he's in there, I suspect he will.
I'm pretty confident that he'll produce when he is actually available.
Bringing Hanneger in with all the turnover that has occurred on this roster over the course of this off season,
a lot of leaders going out.
Mitch Hanager is necessary.
We talked about this with Aaron Goldsmith
when we had him on our show
about a month or so ago.
It was a necessary addition
just from that standpoint alone.
So really no matter what you get from Mitch
on the field,
I think he's a valuable asset to have around.
And he's going to be a big part
of this leadership group this year.
And he's going to be someone that,
you know, a lot of,
you know, there's still a very, very young roster.
So he's going to have to be a guy that a lot of young guys can lean on.
Or, you know, if you have, like, say, another George Kirby situation, like what happened in Tampa,
Mitch is probably one of the first guys that has to, you know, go to whoever that might be and say, hey, you know, let's have a conversation.
Let's talk about this a little bit.
Sure.
I mean, you know, Mitch, I think you just had to kind of treat Mitch like you treated Tom Murphy the last couple of years.
insanely valuable in the clubhouse and whatever you get from him on the field is a bonus.
And you just appreciate when he is in the lineup and giving you something because we all know at some point, unfortunately, he's not going to be available.
I mean, you just have to plan around that.
So, but yeah, I mean, hopefully he gets through the next two weeks and he gets on that plane to Seattle and he's in the opening day lineup.
If he makes, if he, if he's healthy, he will be in the opening day lineup.
There is no chance.
the mayor he's going to get one hell of an ovation yes as he should uh mitches will be going crazy
all over the pacific northwest with the return of the mitch the head mitch in charge if you will
yes the head mitch in charge yes yeah again let's make this very clear when we say mitch on the show
we're talking about hanniger yes we're going to say garber maybe garber can get there where we have
to differentiate between the two mitches will you ever get to a point where you'll call him
garv sauce. Can you do anything this season?
I will get you to call him Garv sauce. They win the World Series. There you go.
All right.
Even if he doesn't contribute to the World Series, you'll call him Garver.
Sure. All right.
Like you say, this is, Mitch is the Alpha Mitch. And then there's the beta Mitch, which is Garber.
You're laughing about, Ty?
I don't, I don't even know how to baseball players here.
I don't, I don't know how to transition from that other than to say, hey, we're going to talk about
Dom-Kan zone coming up here in just a moment.

All right.
So let's talk about Dom-Kan zone here.
A lot of people, when we ask them or, you know, when we've asked our listeners,
who do you think can break out this year?
The answer more often than not has been Dominic-Kan zone.
So, Colby, we've seen Dom-Kan-Zone a little bit, you know,
as much as the mayors are willing to allow us to watch Dom-Kan zone play.
Yeah.
Have you seen anything that has boosted your confidence in Dom Kanzone?
And are you on the hype train like some other people?
Yeah, you know, he still kind of looks like a, a gangly giraffe kind of rumbling around the outfield,
not really sure where his limbs are going and all that stuff.
We've seen a couple swings like that too, but I think that's just part of who Kanzone is.
like I don't think that's ever going to go away.
But, you know, I don't want to, it feels like the hype around.
By the way, real quick, I have to interrupt.
Shannon Dreher just tweeted, Hanager could not have time that better,
leaping catch at the wall to send Otani back to the dugout.
Otani must have hit that ball very high.
It took a while to come down is what I'm saying.
Or Hanigur was playing on the warning track.
But, uh,
I'm not going to make a Mitch joke there.
Anyways,
Dom Kanzon.
Move on.
We're moving on.
Dom Kanzone,
I don't,
the hype around him is so big around like Mariner's fandom that it almost feels inevitable that he's going to fall short.
And by fall short,
I mean,
like he'll probably have like a 110 WRC plus and people will be like,
oh,
yeah,
didn't quite take the leap I wanted.
I would take that 30 day of the week.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's like 45% better than he was last year.
Yeah.
Like,
if he's a 110 WRC plus,
the Mariners are in a good.
good spot. Very good spot. Yeah. So I, I can certainly see why people like, like Canzone. You know, I like
Canzone. I prefer to never see him play the field, but that ship sailed. So, uh, yeah, uh, he totally
screwed up that route, but he dove and he got the ball. Go Glover. Anyways, uh, Canzone is a guy who,
I respect Dom Canzone's defense, Colby. I will never, but I do respect the bat. The other day,
I walked into a bar and on the TV,
they were doing some like top 50 MLB plays of the season or whatever.
And just as soon as I happened to walk in,
they were playing his,
the catch that he made in Tampa where he went over the wall.
Sure.
The routine catch that most guys just stop and catch the ball.
You make that catch, Colby.
I probably could.
If I was stationed over there, you know,
because Canzone's actually
He canzone actually surprisingly runs pretty well
Not a lot of practical application
Being put on the baseball field to that yet
But he actually moves pretty well
For his size and and he does definitely have power
There's no denying that the raw power is certainly there
And you look at what he's done in the minor leagues
The track record is there also like this is a guy who
Despite some ugly swings and misses against particularly left-handed pitching
Doesn't strike out
He's going to draw walks he certainly has power
He's a pretty good ass
athlete, there are some things to be really excited about from from canzone.
So certainly the hype is understandable.
I just, I don't want to quite bank on it like the Mariners are banking on it.
Like to me,
canzone should the roster shouldn't have been built that can't zone was guaranteed a roster spot.
And it was like however you want to look at this roster.
It is like unless they bring in another guy from the outside.
Canzone is going to make this open day roster.
He always was.
So not a big fan of that.
But I do like canzone.
And I do feel like there's a good chance that he could,
he could hit now.
Yeah.
Is he going to, it kind of depends on what you mean by breakout because like, again,
I've seen fans out there that are like, oh, he's, you know, he's this year's Luke Rayleigh.
And it's like, uh, Luke Rayley is a 130 WRC plus guy last year.
Yeah.
Like regardless how you would break that up.
170 in the first half.
Yeah.
It's like that's maybe a bit much.
But I think, you know, I, I'm reasonably confident considering the major league track record we
have in front of us that Canzone is going to improve 25, 30%.
this year, which is significant.
And he's going to have to because he's going to be, you know,
the primary right fielder, I think, for a good chunk of this season,
possibly a left fielder.
We'll see what they want to do with Rayleigh,
and where they feel more comfortable playing him.
But, yeah.
Canzone's going to play a lot.
He's going to get his opportunities.
And I think he'll do fine.
I think he'll do fine.
I just don't want to buy, I just don't want to be like leading the hype train that like
Dom Canzones is an all star.
And it's like, I think he's Seth Smith, as I said from the day they acquired him,
which is a good player.
good player. That's a really good player.
Yeah. Go look at
if you're not familiar.
Go back and look at
Seth Smith's fan graphs page.
Seth Smith was a really good player.
Very, very underrated.
And I think
Kanzone is totally capable of being
that guy very soon,
if not this year.
We know that he can hit the absolute
hell out of the ball. Now he's a bit bigger.
Seems like he's worked on his setup
a little bit. He's more upright in a stance now.
So maybe there's a there's a swing change
I mean like when he's chasing pitches
You know outside of the zone it still looks really awkward
It's not a great looking swing
But again when he puts the bat on the ball
He can sit it a long ways away
At the very least I feel pretty confident
That he's going to hit quite a few home runs this year
But yeah you know because of the way that they have built this roster
There's quite a bit riding on the success of Domkan zone
At least heading into the year
Of course you know they can
make adjustments and they can go add guys at a later point in the year but uh right now as things
currently stand we're gonna do uh you know a swing player episode but i feel like you know we can just
kind of spoil this now like dom can zone is probably one of the guys at the top of that list
that could really swing things in one direction or the other for the maris this year
particularly in the positive if he actually you know ends up because again even if he's just a
110 WRC plus guy, that is a massive, massive boost for the Marriss right now.
Because what I'm looking at the Marrers right now, when I'm assessing this roster right now,
I'm not really assuming that they're going to get that from Canzone.
So right now, if I think, you know, for example, the Marys are an 88 to 91 roster,
that's not factoring in a good Dom Canzone season.
So what could a good Domcan zone season do for this team?
where things currently stand a lot in my mind.
Sure.
If you guys, you know, aren't thrilled with the, uh, the Seth Smith comp.
Um, first of all, you're insane.
But second of all, let me just refresh you on Seth Smith's career here.
Uh, career slash line 261, 344, 446, 10.6 based on ball per nine, 19 point, or sorry, based on ball percentage,
walk percentage.
Yeah.
Uh, 19.5 K percentage.
Drew walks, didn't strike out.
Yeah.
Hit for average, got on base, good pop.
And I think that Canzone has more home run power than Smith did.
So, you know, and then you see what you get defensively.
And that'll be kind of determined whether or not he's a really good player or just a good player is what he does in the field.
And based on what we saw last year, I would say.
I think he will, I think he's a fine defender.
and by fine I mean you can live with it he's not September to Oscar if that's what you mean by fine
by fine it's like I don't think we're going to be talking about Dom Kanzon's defense that much this
year I mean maybe you won't but I'm kind of a snop for outfield defense so you are you are you are
but yeah I mean like sometimes sometimes sometimes most of the time if not every time
But yeah, no, we'll see what Canzone can do in the field and honestly at the plate.
But yeah, the Mariners are certainly betting on him quite a bit to be a literally be an everyday player.
Like there is not really an everyday backup plan because as we talked about in the first segment, it can't be Machanager.
If Canzone fails, you can't just go to Mitch Hanager more.
That's not really an option.
So, but yeah, I think Canzone is going to be at least a league average bat.
and I wouldn't be shocked at all
if he was a little bit above league average.
I would be somewhat shocked if he was, you know,
1.30.
Like if he was this year's Luke Rayleigh,
I'd be a little bit shocked by that.
That'd be great.
Would love that.
Awesome.

You're listening to the Lockdown
Mariner's podcast. Thank you again for making us your
first listen as
of course we are previewing the
Mariners Corner Outfield situation.
I'm not doing that voice forever, dude.
And by the way, this is the last time we're doing this
on the show for a while.
This is the end of the bit. I'm saying
this is the end of the bit. All right, maybe
I have one more in me, but we'll say
that for the end of the show. I will randomly
play the music at some point.
throughout future podcast.
Not even every podcast.
You just have to be ready for it?
Yeah.
And when you hear that music,
you owe me 15 seconds of radio guy voice.
Okay,
but there has to be a limit on that.
Like,
I'm not going to abuse it.
That has to be like a coupon that you exchange like here and there,
right?
Like a punch card,
you know?
I'll,
you know,
I'll use it sparingly.
But,
you know,
I do control the soundboard.
I mean,
so do I.
but like nobody says hi hit it you know what let's hear your radio guy voice
welcome back to no that that would be better for that would be better for what this one
or no it's this one actually if it'll load is it just not going to load cool great
this is awesome this has been an awesome use of 30 seconds yeah this is going swimmingly anyway let's
talk about luke raley how about that you want to talk about luke raleigh the mayor has acquired
Luke Raleigh from the Tampa Bay raise for Jose Caviero, of course.
Raleigh coming off of an insane first half of 2023,
not a particularly good second half of 2023,
and he's obviously not off to a good start here in spring,
and we've gotten a lot of questions about,
is Luke Raleigh wash, is it over, all that?
So, of course, naturally, right?
Just like it's over for Jared Keldick down in Atlanta
off of 30 at-bats or whatever.
So what do you think about Raleigh?
going into this year.
First of all, the whole
he was awful in the second half thing is a lie.
He just wasn't a 170 WRC plus.
Wasn't he a sub 100 WRC plus though?
93.
In the second half.
Slightly below league average.
Right, but not awful.
Like, livable.
But yeah, it's been a very slow start for him.
It was interesting.
They were playing him almost exclusively at first base
for the first half of spring training,
which is odd.
I don't know if that's just a way to get other.
guys more at-bats. But yeah, so hopefully we see Rayleigh more consistently in the lineup over the
next few days in left field or right field, whichever one they want to play him in. Also, probably
wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. The next day, Julio has the next time Julio has the day off,
maybe you put Luke Rayleigh out in center field. He can manage that in short spurts if you have to.
So, yeah, I'm not concerned at all about what he's done in the Cactus League. It doesn't matter.
Like, the stats don't matter. I can't see enough of the at-bats to give you. I don't know if I've
seeing Luke Rayleigh play this year.
I have once, I think, maybe twice.
So like, how am I supposed to know how he looks at the plate?
I don't know.
The numbers don't mean anything to him.
He could be hitting 900, and I'd be like, okay, cool.
Like, it's just, the numbers in spring training don't matter whatsoever.
So he needs to get his work in, and maybe he does get off to a slow start this year.
Maybe he doesn't.
Who knows?
But the Mariners have been pretty good at putting guys in a position that they are most likely to
succeed in. They can do the same with Rayleigh. But Rayleigh's got upside. You know, he had
what, 19 home runs last year. He can steal 10 to 15 bags. He's actually a pretty decent defender
in the outfield. He's your second best defensive outfielder, which is says more about the rest of
your outfield defense than it does about Luke Rayleigh. But like Rayleigh is, he's average out there
in a corner. You know, he certainly has the type of pole power, left-hand of pole power that's
going to play well at Team Mobile Park. So I'm,
I'm reasonably optimistic about Rayleigh.
Didn't really cost you anything to go out and get him.
Jose Cabriero was not going to make this team really under any circumstance.
So whatever Cabby does in Tampa shouldn't, you know, shouldn't influence how you feel about that trade one way or another.
Like he was not going to be here.
This does feel like one of those trades, though, where like Cabby is going to become like a four-win player in Tampa because Tampa and Rayleigh is going to have like a one-win season.
Is that really a thing?
Kind of.
It's probably a bit overblown, but
Kind of.
Kind of, yeah.
Like, who's the player of the Mariners traded to Tampa that became a star?
Andrew Kitridge back in like 2017.
Ryan Yarrow, that one year.
Like, those are fine, but those are relievers and
Malick Smith, technically.
I mean, not really a star, but sure.
I mean, yeah, technically, I guess.
But yeah.
Mike Zanino made on All-Star team.
sure but didn't have more to do with how bad catcher was that year instead of Mike really earning it like not to take away from Mike happy retirement Mike Zanato is good etc etc etc etc yeah it doesn't really happen all that much but look we'll see what happens there I know I'm not tracking Jose Cabiero's numbers like some of you guys are tracking Jared Kelnick which by the way get a new hobby you'll be a lot happier for it but yeah I'm not worried about Rayleigh's numbers we'll see how you're
he looks. There certainly is a possibility that he is, you know, just kind of a fringy
outfield, like fringy major league outfielder. Like, sure, that possibility exists. Maybe he's just
a 90 WRC plus guy who's, you know, slightly above average against righties, can't hit lefties,
although there's very little evidence to suggest he just flat out can't hit left-handed pitching.
So we'll see what the mayors want to do with that. If they just want to give him those
at-bats against lefties early or if they, you know, want to try and strictly platoon him.
but I'm still reasonably confident that
Luke Rayleigh is not going to be a problem
for the Mariners in 2024.
So on the topic of the righty-lefty splits,
when Hanager is in the lineup,
who do you think they're going to start
of the two lefties in Canzon and Rayleigh?
Who's getting that third outfield spot primarily?
Probably comes down to a matchup who's on the mound,
like what type of arsenal they have
and how they like to attack hitters.
So they'll play a matchup that way.
But I think early on, I think it'll be Rayleigh just because he's a little bit better defensively.
But I don't know.
That's an interesting question.
It'll probably tell us a lot about how the Mariners feel about Rayleigh because we know the Mariners love Dominic Handzone.
So if they're playing Luke Rayleigh over him, then they obviously feel pretty comfortable that Rayleigh is going to hit.
But again, Hanager, I mean, don't think on any games, but at most,
Hanager is probably going to play three games a week.
So, yeah, it's not going to be a huge deal.
They'll probably, again, just play matchup based on who's pitching that day.
But, yeah, I think I'd probably give Rayleigh the first nod just because he's actually produced at the big league level, whereas Canzone really hasn't.
But we'll see what they do.
And that will probably tell us a lot about the pecking order and how the Mariners view Canzone versus Rayleigh.
So let's quickly talk a little bit about what's behind these guys now,
you know, in case injuries happen, lack of performance, etc.
Cade Marlowe is probably the first guy up.
Right.
You have made a complete heel turn in the last calendar year on Cade Marlowe.
I remember this time last year, you were like, he's in his mid-20s,
he has strikeout issues down in double A.
This guy's probably not even a major leaguer.
And now you're like, Cade Marlowe should be on the roster.
Are you sure I wasn't talking about Jonathan Classe?
say well that's now your kade marlowe so everybody just goes up or wrong okay right yeah yeah look marlowe's
made some changes to his swing the strikeouts got a lot better in tacoma and then he came up and he was
fine for a couple weeks uh and then he got sent back down he never got the call back up so yeah i kind
of like marl there's power there there's speed there he can play center field it doesn't look pretty
but he can play a pretty good corner outfield like he catches the ball just kind of an adventure
how he does it sometimes.
But yeah, I like Cade Marlowe.
I think there's a,
I think there's a legitimate, you know,
fourth outfielder there.
You're more of a snob when it comes to outfield defense than I am with
CGI and Marvel movies.
I don't know.
Don't know.
Don't.
Don't.
Dom, Don,
Don,
Don,
is your Black Widow helicopter scene.
First of all,
I hate that scene, too.
So you might want to pick a different one.
But,
uh,
no,
like,
I don't think so.
But I like,
Marlow. He's a good defender.
Like, so I, and he's also probably your second most legitimate center field option in the entire organization.
Yeah.
Not great. Like, granted, that's not great, but it is what it is. So I like Marlowe.
Um, he's, he's, he's the guy right now. He's, he clearly passed a loach. He clearly passed Trammel.
He passed Kelmick. Like, Kate Marlowe today is better than Jared Kellnick ever was.
maybe not ever will be,
but ever was.
Yeah,
Cade Marlowe is a better
major leagher.
Cade Marlowe wasn't better
than April Kelnick.
Even that two week stretch
wasn't better than April Kelnick.
April Kelnick was on another level.
Okay,
that's fair.
April Kelnick was good.
Yeah.
That one September Kelnick,
like those two weeks in September.
Yeah,
that was.
Okay,
so there's been six weeks of Kelnik
over the course of a thousand plate appearances
or whatever.
He was pretty good.
Derek Kelnik
catching,
Catchy strays once again.
By the way, you guys,
maybe it's not you guys specifically,
but Mariners fans in general are obsessed with Jerry Kellick.
The fact that our random mailbag Monday episode
where we had Jared Kalnick in the title
is basically doing the same numbers
that are interview with literally Jerry DePoto.
Literally Jerry to Poto.
That's insane.
Jared Keldick is the Mariner fan version
of like when you break up with somebody and you're like,
I don't think about them at all, but you drive by their house at night to see if the lights are on.
Like, that's how Mariner fans are like treating Jared Kellnick right now.
It's weird.
I'm a little concerned for you guys.
The only reason I know that Jared Kellick is struggling is because you guys keep on updating us.
Yeah, it's because I keep on seeing retweets.
Yeah.
Yeah. It's like, oh, he's sitting 067.
Who's tracking this?
Who has the time?
Anyways.
A lot of people to answer that question.
I podcast for a full-time job, and I still don't feel like I have time to track Jared Kellnick at bats in spring training.
That's a level of petty that me, I am looking at and going like, that's a bit much.
Right.
That is saying something.
Take a look in the mirror.
I'm saying you're being too petty.
Take a look at the mirror, and you might see that face staring back at you.
But, yeah, Cade Marlow is probably the first guy up.
Yeah.
and then Dillamore will probably play some corner outfield at some point, maybe even some center field.
He might be the third best center fielder in the org, so.
Same goes for Sam Haggurty.
And then Samad Taylor, if he gets called up, he'll probably play some outfield as well.
He's played all three outfield spots, I think, in spring, or at least two of them so far in spring.
I know he's played some center for sure.
And then, you know, Jonathan Classe, maybe, but he's got a hit.
He has to hit.
And he, like, he hasn't even really hit above high A yet.
So, like, he's got to show that he can handle double A pitching with some level of consistency
before we can even have the conversation about a major league debut for him.
Did you ever wonder what Mark Trumbo would look like with 70 grade speed out in the outfield?
It's Jonathan Clossey.
There you go.
Like, that level, back.
in terms of routes and anticipation in reeds he's marked trumbo but he's fast the reads have been
really bad for the most part right now to be fair because i i do want to be fair playing outfield
in spring training in those single deck stadiums yeah not as easy no very hard yeah yeah the skies
are high and like it's sun's beating down on you yeah like it's it's not as easy as it will be in season
that being said, this is not just a spring training issue for Class A.
It's pretty consistent for the last four years.
That ball that almost hit him in the head is, it was.
Yeah.
I'm just saying, Cade Marlowe makes that catch.
Of course.
So, yes, Cade Marlowe's number one.
And then I think Cagherty's probably number two, although he might get replaced by Samad Taylor.
There are a lot of positives coming out about Taylor from the,
We've heard a lot about Samad Taylor.
Yeah.
From not just Mariner fans from like other other people around the game.
They seem to think that the Marys may have found something in Taylor, probably not an everyday player, but like something that should have been a lot more expensive than free.
Yeah.
So we'll see.
The Mariners in terms of their depth in the corner outfield, I give the position like a B minus C plus.
If you squit.
There's just a lot of questions.
Tilt your head to the side.
You can, you can see it.
Sure.
I mean, it's, it's not, you know, out of the realm of possibility that the Mariners have
more above average hitters slash players, you know, for two corner outfield spots.
When you had Marlowe, Canzon, Hanager, and Rayleigh, sure, it's possible.
You could also squint and look the other way and be like, oh, hmm,
Canzone didn't take a step.
Marlow's strikeouts problem continue.
Raleigh's second half, Rayleigh.
Yeah.
Hanigar got hurt.
We're relying on some odd Taylor and Dylan Moore out there, aren't we?
So we'll see how it goes.
But I think C plus, B minus, like I'm cautiously optimistic about the position.
But there are a lot of questions.
Yeah.
Why that one?
I didn't want to give you the best one.
All right.
Let me give you the, let me give you one of these real quick.
