That's for my crazy day.
My packed commute.
All those unread emails in my inbox.

Yeah, let's get it going.
All right, guys, we are joined by Chris Semino,
the host of the Locked On Patriots podcast on the Locked On Podcast Network.
And he's going to talk with us a little bit from his perspective of the Patriots win,
I guess he would term it, in the Super Bowl 51, as opposed to the Falcons loss.
Chris, we want to welcome you to the show.
I know it's a little difficult probably for at least our listeners in terms of why do
I want to hear from a Patriots fan or a Patriots podcast host?
They're literally the worst people on the planet.
But I don't know if this is going to be part of the process in terms of people being able to get over this loss.
But let's see what happens.
So, Chris, welcome to the show. And, you know, I'm curious, what was your
sort of thoughts going through that emotional roller coaster, which is obviously the opposite
of our emotional roller coaster, but starting the game off so slowly for the Patriots and
then seeing them finish relatively strong?
Well, I felt like the history repeating itself for the fourth time in the last four Super Bowls for the Patriots pretty much.
I mean, look back at 07.
They got the same situation.
Pass rush got to Brady, slowed them down.
Offense didn't play the way they'd played all season.
They got upset.
2011, same team, same results.
Score was a little different.
Same exact thing.
2014, Patriots do win the Super Bowl,
but anybody who knows who watched that game over the first two and a half
quarters of the game, Seattle completely dominated.
Brady got hot.
Patriots' offense got hot.
They made the plays they needed to make to win the game.
And because their defense was a little bit better than they were back in 07
and 2011, they were able to hold an old on.
Bailey got lucky and won that one.
And last night was just, you know what last night reminded me of?
I don't know if you guys remember the game, but back in 2012,
New England played San Francisco in Foxborough.
San Fran went up 35-3.
Patriots offense was just getting completely manhandled,
and all of a sudden Brady just went nuts,
and they ended up coming back.
They ended up losing, I believe it was by a point.
I think actually they lost 38-35 or 41-30,
but it reminded me very much of that game.
It's just, you know, Patriots fans are obviously elated up here,
but I'm telling you one thing.
They do feel for the Atlanta fan.
I mean, that was – some of the things that they did at the end of that game,
not running the ball, I'm sure you guys have talked about it ad nauseum today.
I just – I don't understand what the thought process was.
You know, give the Patriots – you have to give the Patriots some credit.
You can't say that it's
just the fact that Atlanta blew it because I mean they scored a lot of points in a short amount of
time and hitting those two two-point conversions that's hard to do and um but you know after Julio
Jones made that catch and I thought that thing was over I just don't understand what Atlanta's
coaching staff was thinking and um you know I, we do feel sorry for the Atlanta fans.
Yeah, obviously Patriots fans are happy to get that fifth ring,
but that was the craziest football game I've ever seen.
And I know people up here are still almost stunned.
That's how it was today.
People weren't, you know, high-fiving and going around.
It wasn't like that.
It was more like, are you kidding me?
Did that really just happen?
And it's still kind of that stunned silence. You can even hear it on
the radio up here, like 98.5, some of the
bigger stations.
It's almost like it hasn't hit home yet.
Okay.
Yeah.
I'm just trying to think of... I don't know what else to say.
Like, so, so hot, like, honestly, what do you guys, what do you guys think?
Like, what the hell happened with the coaching staff there in the, in the fourth quarter?
Like, what were they doing?
I can't, can you guys give me an explanation as to why that I'm just, I'm baffled by the
whole thing.
Well, from my perspective, I think a lot of it has to do with they've been very aggressive throughout this entire year.
And, you know, we've talked quite a bit about sort of whether running the football after that Julio catch was the right call.
I think it's fair to say that it was the right call.
I'm not as upset with, as everybody else is,
with sort of them deciding to pass in those situations.
I think it's more an issue of just, you know,
holding calls and guys giving up sacks and whatnot,
missing blocks, as opposed to the play calling,
put them in that situation.
But I certainly understand sort of with hindsight how people can sort of conflate the two things.
Yeah.
I mean, from my perspective, it's – I get the criticism of the coaching staff,
but it's hard for me to sit here and be like, yeah, we lost the game
because the coaching staff screwed the pooch.
I'm curious, Chris, because obviously New England's defense,
let's give it some credit, really stepped up in the second half.
What did you think of Trey Flowers?
I thought he looked really dominant.
Trey Flowers, I don't know if you guys ever listened to the show,
my prediction going into the day was he was it.
He was going to be the one.
If the Patriots defense was going to stop that Atlanta offense,
which is a great offense, he was going to be the one to get the middle pass rush
and get Ryan off his spot and make a play.
Because the thing is, and I've been around football my entire life.
I coach it, played it, study it, everything.
And I always hear, oh, pressure, pressure, pressure. Pressure's great, but when you're facing a great quarterback,
you got to get him on the ground. You got to get him down before he makes a play.
Because what happens, you get pressure, he rolls out, gets the ball to Julio Jones.
What the hell did that pressure just do? Nothing. So that's the one thing that I've liked about
Flowers is that he's able to not just get pressure, he actually gets to the quarterback
and makes a play. And again, going into that game this week, I really felt that he was the key,
and he turned out to be very important, obviously, for the Patriots.
But, you know, there was just a lot of things.
That defense, they only gave up 21 points yesterday to a team that averaged,
what, 34 points a game, I think, the average this year.
Is that what it was for the Falcons right around there?
Yeah, you're right.
Yeah, so, you know, to only give up 21 points to that offense,
I thought they did a good job on Julio Jones.
He's going to make some plays.
The guy's a stud.
But they did a good job.
The Patriots defense all season long didn't get enough credit.
And yesterday they stepped up and they did what they had to do.
Brady, he's so predictable, too.
It's funny.
He's going to make mistakes.
He's going to throw a pick.
He actually got hit up with a pick six.
The Patriots are the first team.
I don't even want to say this to you guys because this is going to make it worse.
The first team to win a Super Bowl will have to throw in a pick six.
That's never happened before.
That's a first.
So, I mean, that's the thing.
Brady makes these huge mistakes, but as long as it's in striking distance,
he just goes crazy in the fourth quarter of these games.
He just all of a sudden says, all right,
I figured out exactly what you're trying to do to me,
and he just starts ripping teams to shreds.
It's crazy to watch.
It's not going to last much longer, so I hope Patriots fans are enjoying it.
How surprised are you that the offensive line
struggled? They allowed five sacks.
I know Brady had about
70 dropbacks, something absurd like
that, but
I think the Patriots offensive line is one
of the more underrated parts to their Super Bowl
season. It's been really good this year, but I thought
they struggled quite a bit.
Shaq Mason, especially. I watched the film again today uh he was bad he was just really bad he
mason i'm sure you actually you guys are down that neck of the woods he played for georgia tech he
was a you know great blocker for them but it took him a long time to get his improvement going as
far as pass blocking and you could see yesterday when he faced some of the tougher upper echelon guys.
And, you know, that Atlanta, you guys got a good defense, man.
You really do.
You guys got a good, young, fast.
I mean, they were on the field for 100 plays yesterday.
So they got gassed by the end of the game.
And the way that they were playing with the robber and all that kind of tied them out too.
But still, that Atlanta defense is going to be really good for a long time.
So I kind of look at it and say, yeah, they gave up the five sacks,
but they did enough when Brady needed them to block
and be able to slide around the pocket and do what he does.
They did just enough.
So as much as I think their offensive line wasn't the best yesterday,
I know Marcus Cannon had some struggles,
but he hasn't struggled all year, actually.
It's the first time he's given up sacks all season, literally since week one.
I think that's more Atlanta's talent.
I think that says a lot for you guys more than it does for the negative
on the Patriots' offensive line.
It's just two great teams going toe-to-toe. Atlanta
knew what they had to do. I think having
Dimitrov and Pioli in the organization
and those guys with some familiarity
of the Patriots plus the
fact Quinn faced them in the Super Bowl two years ago
and that relationship he
has with Carroll, and Carroll does a good job
against the Patriots, I think that helped too.
I wasn't surprised at all
that Atlanta made it a great game
and should have won the game.
I was just surprised by how it all shook out pretty much.
I'm curious what was going through your head when you were watching the Patriots
sort of put together these long drives, trying to come back,
which I think probably contributed a lot to sort of their
defense clamping down the Falcons offense just because they played keep away.
Alan and I talked about this on our show yesterday, which was the Patriots had possession of the
ball for 40 minutes versus the Falcons having only 23.
And watching them string together these 10, 12, 13 play drives in the second half of the
game, were you sitting there saying like, where's the urgency?
They need to score quickly.
They need to get back into this game.
Or is like, this is all part of the thing.
If we can, if we can get these long drives and get seven at the end of them, you know,
that's going to put more pressure on the Falcons offense.
And we can sort of take advantage of what is a emerging, but still flawed defense.
Well, that's at first when they scored the first touchdown,
the entire time I said to myself, why are they not going no huddle here?
And then I sat there and thought about it a little bit.
They got the touchdown.
Of course, Koskowski missed the extra point because Koskowski loves missing
extra points in the playoffs these days, especially in the biggest possible games.
He did it last year against Denver and cost the Patriots going to the Super Bowl.
It made sense because they were, as much as Atlanta,
stuck to what they did and continued to throw the ball at the end of the game,
which I kind of respect in a way,
even though I would have given it to Freeman myself,
but I'm not the coach, so that's what they did.
They were aggressive, and the Patriots,
they trust the fact that they think they're one of the only teams
that can go on these long, sustained drives, score touchdowns,
because I know Atlanta did struggle a little bit in the red zone this season,
and do what they do in order to win a game.
And they also had, again, the experience from two years ago
of facing a similar type defense when they faced Seattle in the Super Bowl.
You know, Atlanta's not far off from what Seattle has as far as their defense with the
speed and the talent, the combination of everything that they have going on there.
So I think that was a big help too.
But I just, I think they were methodical just for the fact that they knew they could be
and they had it.
They put a lot of pressure on that defense to make stops, but you're right.
They were rested enough to be able to make those stops,
so that's actually a great observation on your part too
because they were rested, and that's a big part of it.
When you're going up against an offense like that that's so fast
and they've got so many options, if you have one guy who's winded,
Ryan's going to find him, he's going to hit the guy and take advantage of it,
and the next thing you know, Atlanta's putting six on the board.
So, yeah, the Patriots, they kind of rolled the dice a little bit with those long, drawn-out drives.
But they made it work, and they had to get the two-point conversions to kick in that field goal, which I thought was the right idea.
I mean, you kick the field goal that you have to to get it to 16 points.
But it was a gamble on the Patriots' part.
But one of the reasons why they have won five Super Bowls over the last 16 years now
is because they do gamble so much.
What do you make of Danny Amendola's points?
Because he's been a complete afterthought this year.
Amendola is a good player.
He's maybe an afterthought around the national
media,
but around here, people love him
because they've had some issues
this season as far as wide receiver
depth and guys getting dinged up here and there.
He always seems to step up and make
plays. Brady finds him a lot.
Another thing, too, he's really helped out
this season.
Cyrus Jones, our second-round pick here up in New England,
a guy from Alabama, he likes to fumble punts on a regular basis.
He's actually quite adept at it.
So they had Amendola ended up taking his spot and he's dependable.
And he got a really bad high ankle sprain back. I can't remember the date.
I was doing the countdown, the Danny Amendola countdown
because people were so excited when he was coming back.
And he was out for six weeks all the way up until the AFC divisional round,
came back in.
He was great in the playoffs for them.
So he's a little bit, you know, he's not as good as he was when he was with St. Louis
when he was making almost 100 catches a year for a couple years there.
And he's always had injury problems.
But if you have him going and he's healthy and it's a playoff game,
he's definitely a guy you want to have on your side.
I'm curious to know what your thoughts are on some of the,
besides Amandell and some of the other guys on offense like Malcolm Mitchell
and James White sort of stepping up and sort of the interchangeability
of sort of the Patriots offensive pieces.
They don't need, you know, the Julio Joneses of the world in order to make their offense
work.
And as well as sort of does this win vindicate Bill Belichick and what people question the
decisions to trade some of their key defensive players like Chandler Jones and Jamie Collins prior to the season.
Offensively, I do think that they do a good job of taking these guys.
People say they're not really well-known.
They're not well-known, but they do find what turn out to be world-class athletes,
and they make them work with their system.
Look at Edelman.
He was a quarterback in college, but that guy is – if you look at the legs on the guy,
he's got Barry Sanders' legs on a 5'10 wide receiver.
It's just an odd thing to see, but he's also a slot guy.
For the amount that they go inside and what they do, he's a great fit for their offense.
Now, I'm going to tell you one thing right now.
If they had a Julio Jones or any of the guys like that,
and they've proven it when they had Randy Moss on their team,
they're that much better.
So there's definitely something to be said for them making it work
with some lesser players, but I think Edelman's a different type of beast
because if you put Edelman on that Falcons offense, oh, my God,
you guys would have a field day with that guy.
And Julio Jones would be open every play because they'd have to drop somebody down.
And add a great slot receiver to that Falcons offense besides some of the guys you guys have,
which I think is the next step in evolution.
And good God, you're going to probably score 40 points a game.
Malcolm Mitchell, that kid's good.
I'm a big fan.
I know he's down from down in Georgia.
Good player, huge hands.
He's got those hamburger helper gloves he's wearing there.
I love it.
He's seriously, he's got those humongous hands.
It looks like a rod when he was wearing his batting gloves back in the day, but he's good.
He's got good hands.
He's smart.
Um, it was funny too.
He'd make those catches yesterday and he was down or
out of bounds immediately he was not fumbling and he was not going to drop the ball um he did a good
job james white i watched him a lot when he was in college i mean i write for scout.com so i'm
really into the college stuff too um and i was always a big fan of james white and i was pumped
when the patriots actually drafted him i'm like he's a good fit as far as a running back.
And then you see him and get the ball handed to him in the running game,
and typically he ran the ball pretty good yesterday,
but typically he gets hit once and he's down.
And then he catches it out of the backfield, and he looks like Gale Sayers.
So he's made it work.
I mean, he's one of those guys that he really is kind of a one-trick pony for them. You know, he really all he can do is catch the ball out of the backfield.
He's not a true running back for them.
But, again, they found a skill set that he's really good with,
and they're making it work.
I think that good NFL offenses with good quarterbacks can do that with almost anybody.
I think you guys are seeing that right now with your own Falcons,
with some of the guys they have.
Tevin Coleman's a great player, a good player,
but I think Matt Ryan makes him better.
I think Matt Ryan makes a lot of guys better,
just like Brady and the system here up in New England
makes these guys look better.
I'm curious from your perspective, given that in New England
they have a lot of upcoming free agents,
how would you approach these free agents
and who would you prioritize on re-signing?
You know, it's funny.
They've had so much luck in free agency as far as who they keep,
who they let go, and it doesn't really matter.
But I do think, you know, as far as leadership, it does.
And I think Dante Hightower is a guy they need to get locked up.
As you guys saw Hightower with that huge force fumble yesterday,
he had three safeties during the season.
He gets these force fumbles all the time at big moments in games
and makes plays.
Everything he does, he's just such an impact player.
And I'm talking not just from impact as far as causing fumbles.
I'm talking when he – watch him on film sometimes
and just watch when he squeezes down on a play and he's unblocked
and just smashes a blocking right and just takes on a back and crushes him.
He's a special player, and he's another one who will probably miss three to four games a season
due to some of the injuries he deals with his back and his knee.
But I think that's a guy the Patriots have to make sure they get locked up
because if they don't, they're going to be out looking for a linebacker
that can't fit what he provides.
So I think he's the first one they'll get taken care of.
I also think they need to re-sign both Logan Ryan
and I'm having a brain cramp right now.
Butler?
Butler, yeah, Jesus.
I had a basketball game tonight, so I'm a little brain fried right now. Butler? Butler, yeah, Jesus.
I had a basketball game tonight, so I'm a little brain fried right now.
Pardon my brain.
Malcolm Butler. So Butler, beginning of the year, I was all over him.
I was calling him catch-up Butler because he was always just trying to catch up to guys.
But then all of a sudden, after week four or five, watching him a lot,
he really started to lock guys down.
And I thought he played pretty well yesterday too.
Actually, I thought Logan Ryan played a lot better than him, but he did okay.
And they have to get him signed.
You know, top flight corners are impossible to find,
especially guys that are not even in their prime yet.
He's not even close to his prime.
The kid's only 24 years old.
So they need to make sure that they get that done.
Logan Ryan, I think they can get him at a decent number.
They have a ton of cap space too.
That's the one thing a lot of people don't talk about with the Patriots.
They've got a ton of room.
Aaron, was it you that asked me?
I'm sorry, I forgot to answer the question about Chandler Jones and Jamie Collins.
I'll actually get into that with the same thing with the cap here.
When they traded Chandler Jones, I'm going to be honest with you,
I was kind of happy.
He was not the best fit for this team.
I know he had 12.5 sacks last year, but if you look into the numbers,
10 of those sacks came in four weeks.
So he's one of those type of guys that would burst.
This would be an outside linebacker named Chris Slade.
He used to play for the Patriots back in the day, and he was the same thing.
He would get 11 sacks a year, and he would get eight of them in two games,
and then the rest of the year he was pretty much nonexistent.
That was the same problem they decided to have with Jones.
Then last year he goes and starts burning the synthetic weed
and runs into a police station all freaked out before the AFC championship game and things like that that was just a bad look um and then you know wanted
more money than they're willing to give them because that's one of the things patriots won't
do is overpay they won't pay a guy if he's had issues and they certainly won't overpay a guy
that they think doesn't provide provide the production that they can
get from somewhere else.
So they traded him, and I didn't mind that trade at all because he ended up getting a
couple of stompers out of the deal.
The Jamie Collins move, I didn't like it.
I just, I don't know.
I felt it was unnecessary.
If they had traded him for a player, like a legitimate player,
I would have liked it more.
But they gave him away for a third rounder, and I just don't like that.
I think you're better off holding on to a guy.
He wasn't that much of a locker room issue.
I mean, I'm not in the meetings,
so I don't know if maybe he was causing problems in the meetings.
But that one I didn't really like all that much.
I thought that was kind of a foolish trade on their part,
especially, again, didn't have to re-sign him.
And they're getting only back a third-round pick,
so they didn't get much out of it anyways.
They should have held on to him for the run,
and maybe the defense would have been just a little bit better than it was.
I live in New York, so I took a bit more interest into this decision they made.
But the fact that New England re-signed Devin McCourty and not re-signed Darrell Rivas,
I just remember Jet fans, because I have a lot of friends who are Jet fans, just celebrating.
Oh, we're getting Rivas back.
And two years later, look at that move.
Look how it's transpired for both teams.
I was actually in the... I liked Rivas.
I still do like...
I don't like his professionalism this year
because it was an absolute joke.
But it's going to be interesting
because he's going to get cut
and then his phone is going to get picked up
and called to the Patriots.
I'm telling you guys right now,
he's going to play another year or two
for somebody for basically no money and he's going to go nuts and, he's going to play another year or two for somebody for basically no money,
and he's going to go nuts, and then he's going to walk away because I think he really actually truly hates the Jets.
I think he messes with them.
He taunts them.
Think of his career with that team, the lockouts, the drama.
I mean, if you really want to play for an organization, help an organization win, are you going to hold it hostage
the way that he has with that Jets team?
So, I don't know.
I just, that whole situation is crazy.
I would laugh my head off, though, if he ended up signing with the Patriots
next season.
That would be just the ultimate kick in the you-know-what for Woody Johnson.
It's a good point.
I just wonder, because obviously, look, Revis,
when they make two AFC title games against him there,
it's just crazy how, I don't know if he qualifies.
I just think he can't move at this point.
You watch him in man coverage, he looks so stiff at this point.
Yeah, he stopped working out.
That's what it looks like to me.
He just stopped working.
He got his Uncle Sean, went and got him his deal.
The other guy who
was basically holding the nfl hostage and when he was in the league i don't know if you guys
remember that too well but i know i do that guy held the carolina panthers hostage for about two
seasons they paid him and then i think he ended up going somewhere else um but you know he's just
like his uncle he's smart he's just revis is a smart businessman i'll never take
that away from him you know in the nfl these owners make so much money it's ridiculous so
it's actually kind of nice to see a player able to go out there and say you know what screw you
guys i'm gonna make some money off you and i'm gonna be great but now he sucks so it's kind of
hard to watch but uh it was enjoyable for that one year i mean as a guy who's been you know watched in
the patriots since 1980 and you know saw revis coming up i knew revis was going to be a great
player when mangini drafted him actually i knew he was going to be a great player um but to see
him end up coming to new england winning the super bowl and having his last great season as a patriot
before going off to the jets and ruin their cap is probably one of the funniest things for Patriots fans
that could ever hear.
And, yeah, McCourty is awesome.
McCourty's great.
He's such a good kid, too.
Love having him around here.
I'd love to get his brother up here, too.
Yeah, that's a classic Patriots move, Jason, just being pretty,
I wouldn't say bad, but pretty mediocre in Tennessee the last couple of years and then going to New England and suddenly being, you know, whatever.
Probably have two all-pro seasons or something.
That's usually how it works with New England.
You know, that's a testament to them in sort of being able to maximize what pieces they get.
Well, Chris, unless Alan, you got anything else you want to ask Chris?
Just
the feeling of the Super Bowl, we probably should just
mention how
you feel. Where is there a rank
in the Super Bowl victories for the Patriots?
This one? This game?
Yeah.
Number one.
Wow.
Because I've never seen anything like this in my life.
I mean, they've gotten killed.
I was 10 years old sitting on my couch going, damn it.
Are you kidding me?
All excited, and they got smoked.
Against Green Bay, you know, they had a chance,
but they never really had a chance but they never
really had a chance coming back last night was that same feeling i was like they they getting
killed this is a blowout so i'm writing up my blog for scout.com and i'm writing up getting
my write-up ready to go as far as you know falcons when the super bowl patriots get blown out
and for them to all of a sudden just start turning around.
And when it was 28-20 and the Patriots got there
and the defense came up with that stop,
I knew right there that they were going to go down the field,
score, and get the conversion.
I just knew what was going to happen just from watching Brady.
And that feeling in overtime when they got down to the one-yard line
or the two-yard line, it was overwhelming.
It truly was.
I was shocked at the moment.
I still am.
And that's one thing.
Now, I'm going to tell you guys this right now, and I'm not BSing when I say this.
The Falcons are going to win a couple of Super Bowls over the next few years.
They're super talented.
The team is in a good position.
So as much as that hurt you guys yesterday, trust me, cause I've been there.
It was not that long ago.
Falcons are going to get this,
but that one yesterday for Patriots fans,
I know I'm not the only one that can say is,
you know,
somebody's going back a long time is following the team.
That was the best one just because of how it was so desperate.
They were done.
The game was over.
And then all of a sudden,
you know, to win that fifth
title to do that's a big one you know people up here don't like the steelers people up here don't
like the cowboys it's a true see patriots fans i i think get a bad rap i honestly do and i know
that some of them are whiny and and this and that and a lot of it's because they just get harassed
non-stop it's kind of funny sometimes but it's i shouldn't laugh at these people since
i have to live around this area but still um kind of feel like they get a bad rap sometimes so i it
it was a great feeling for i know a lot of patriots fans to see that fifth title and to say you know
what we are there with you cowboys and we're there with you, Cowboys, and we're there with you, Steelers, almost, one more,
and then we're there with you, 49ers.
A lot of people really wanted to get that feeling up here.
So I don't think Patriots fans should be looked at as jerks.
I just think that they should be looked at as they're excited to get that fifth win
and that fifth trophy, and that's why that made it so special.
And to do it the way that they did it,
that's why, to me, it makes it the most incredible win
and probably number one on the list.
This was his number one, and obviously the first win, I would say,
is right there, right next to it as far as my rankings.
Chris, work with me on Twitter and let people know what you've got in store
for your show this week.
We've got all types of stuff going on.
We're going to start talking offseason on Thursday.
That's kind of our break-off date.
So we're going to do a little bit more recap tomorrow.
We're going to do the All-22, the studs and duds that we do on a weekly basis,
which will be expanded this week because it's the last week for it,
and because the game is so crazy that I have to pick extras.
And then we're going to have, we're not sure yet,
but I don't know if you guys know Bill Shank from ESPN Middle Georgia.
He's going to come on with us.
He's going to talk a little bit about the game too.
I had him on last week.
It was pretty fun.
And then, again, starting Thursday, it's time to start taking a look at the free agents.
And it's time to start moving on to 2017 after that.
You know, Belichick said it today.
Everybody's behind.
The Falcons are behind.
The Patriots are behind.
You know, and I'm one of those guys who really gets into the college stuff
and the roster buildings.
So going to enjoy this for a few days on lockdown Patriots,
and then we're going to start moving on to the 2017 season
and keep this thing going year-round.
What do you guys got coming on so I can let our fans know
if maybe they want to check out your show?
The word that popped in my head was sadness, but no.
We're basically on the same plan. the word that popped in my head was sadness, but no, um,
we're,
we're, we're basically on the same plan.
Um,
you know,
we'll do the all 22,
um,
tomorrow.
And,
um,
probably that's probably the last time we'll probably talk specifically about
the game,
you know,
just,
uh,
out of sight,
out of mind at this point.
And,
and hopefully moving on and getting into some off-season talk
will sort of take people's minds off of the sadness.
Yep. Rip the Band-Aid off, throw it away, get away.
I totally agree with you on that one.
That's the only way to do it when it comes down to games like that.
Well, thanks for having me on, guys. I appreciate it.
Chris, we appreciate you coming on,
sharing some positive words and a little bit of empathy from you that makes me feel better.
I hope that makes a couple of listeners feel a little bit better.
And, you know, had it been done to any other team, I would say that I probably would have enjoyed the FU that the Patriots gave to the league just because I'm not a big Roger Goodell fan.
But obviously it came against the wrong team.
Any of the other 30 teams in the league probably would have appreciated that moment a little bit more.
But, you know, respectfully, you can say congratulations.
It was, you know, eventually when I get over this game, I will be able to acknowledge sort
of the thrilling aspect of it.
That may take six years.
But yeah, it was a great game.
Unfortunately, the team that I love and support was on the wrong side of it.
But yeah, congratulations.
Maybe we'll get a rematch next year.
Maybe.
Hey, rematch in the regular season.
Let's not forget.
Yeah.
That's going to be the opener most likely.
Yeah.
I think that's probably a good bet.
Yeah.
So, hey, next September we'll get to do that show.
Yep.
Absolutely.
There you go.
Awesome.
Thanks for coming on, Chris.
Really appreciate it, man.
All right.
Thanks, guys.
All right, man.
Appreciate it, man.

so I'm deleting some stuff by singing dog by goal.
