Hey there everybody, welcome on into a mock draft Monday here at Locked On Patriots.
Mark Schofield back into the big chair for today, Monday, April 1st, 2019.
Look, I thought about going a whole April Fool's Day route
and coming on and basically telling you that, oh, Tom Brady had retired
or I was done doing this show or Brett Rippon has decided to graduate transfer
or something crazy, but I won't do that.
At least I don't think I will.
Maybe by the end of this show, I'll change my mind and decide that,
look, I've got to drop a joke on the gentle listeners. Well, we'll see. We'll play it by ear. But it is a mock draft
Monday. What we're going to do today, it's going to be a little different than the past ones.
I'm going to have my mock for you, the most recent one that I have done over on FanSpeak
in segment one. Segments two and three are your mocks. I got a bunch of mocks in from the
fantastic listeners to the show. And so I'm going to go
through them, highlight some stuff that I liked. I'm not going to really like grade them or crush
some people, but I do want to highlight the work that you all did because it's, it's again, it's
your show and I'm happy to have you all aboard. Before we dive in though, a reminder to follow
me on Twitter at Mark Schofield. Check out the work at places like InsideThePylon.com, Pro Football
Weekly, The Score, Matt Waldman's Rookie Scouting Portfolio, a venerable trio of SB Nation websites,
Big Blue View, Bleeding Green Nation, where I co-host the QB Scope Show, and of course,
Pat's Pulpit. Let's dive into the mock now. And at first I thought we were going to have to go in a
different direction, but in this fan speak mock, we were lucky enough to get on pick 32, the guy
that many people consider to be tight end one in this class. This was a fan speak mock. Did it use
Matt Miller's most recent board user voted team needs difficult
set in who did we get at 32 TJ Hawkinson so pretty excited to go out the gate and
get the guy that people consider to be the top tight end in this draft class to
get him at 32 obviously that would fill a need so excited out of the gate I'm
not doing any trades in this one I know we did trades in the last one we're
gonna go no trades this time.
Now, when it came around to that next pick, that pick at 56 in the second round,
there were a couple of different directions I could have gone,
could have addressed it perhaps edge, could have addressed it perhaps offensive tackle.
I rolled the dice a bit.
There was a safety that I wanted, Juan Thornhill from Virginia.
So even with some other names there, that's the route I went. Now the Patriots, again, they get
back on the clock pretty quickly here. And there was a player staring me at the face at the 61 spot,
I'm assuming at the 64 spot, 61 overall on Matt Miller's board. That's wide receiver Kelvin Harmon from NC State. So out of the gate,
those first three picks, I'm pretty happy. You get the guy that's tight end one. You get the
good safety before that safety board starts to peter out a bit. We've talked about that on the
show here. And then you get Kelvin Harmon, the wide receiver out of NC State. Now we get to go
in a couple of different directions here. We're on the
clock again at 73. There are a number of different directions I could go. Interestingly enough,
Darnell Savage, the safety from Maryland, as well as Amarni Hooker, the safety from Iowa,
they're still here. So if New England passes on safety at, say, you know, one of those two picks
in the second, they could come back and get a good guy in the third.
Now I want to address defense.
And there are some edges here.
Jason Winovich, Christian Miller, Joe Jackson,
that Matt Miller has ranked highly.
I still keep coming back to Charles O'Menahoo.
I think the Patriots are going to love his length and getting him here in the third round.
I'm a big fan of that kind of selection at this spot.
Now back on the clock again here.
We are at pick 97 for the New England Patriots.
And I don't want to leave this area of the draft, I think,
without addressing the offensive tackle position.
I do think that's somewhat of a position of need right now.
So we're going to take Bobby Evans, the offensive tackle from Oklahoma,
to make sure that sort of gives us at least a guy in the mix.
But we've got another third-round pick here,
and we've got a number of options available to us.
This would be an interesting spot to see the Patriots maybe double-dip at a position.
You might think tight end.
There are some guys that I'm still intrigued by.
But there's another wide receiver here,
and if they do double-d dip on this wide receiver position,
if Andy Isabella is on the board at the end of the third round,
I think that might make some sense.
That's the case here.
So he's going to be the pick.
And so that gets us through into the day three picks.
So if we come out, at least from where I sit,
of days one and two of the draft with T.J. Hawkinson, Juan Thornhill,
Kelvin Harmon, Charles O'Menahoo, Bobby Evans,
and Andy Isabella,
I'd be pretty excited with that little haul.
Now we're on the clock here in the fourth round.
It's pick 134 in this fan speak mock.
We're going to double dip again.
This is where, as you get into day three,
at least on some of these simulations,
the tight end position does thin out a little bit.
Now, you will see guys like Dax Raymond, for example, on Matt Miller's board.
He's ranked 280.
A guy like, for example, Josh Oliver that's gotten some recent buzz from San Jose State,
he's on the board at 207.
So we could push the needle a bit.
But if this player is still here at the start of day three,
they better turn in that card darn quick.
And that's Jay Sternberger from Texas A&M,
who the Patriots are going to visit with.
So he's going to be the pick here.
Very excited about that selection.
Now, unfortunately, this gets to be a little bit of white knuckle time here
in these mock drafts, and I've mentioned this before.
We get in that situation where you go from that pick in the in the fourth round to the pick in the sixth round it wouldn't surprise me to see the Patriots
get into the fifth round somehow because this is a big gap because we have not addressed quarterback
we have not addressed defensive line the one defensive lineman I was eyeing clean Saunders
from Western Illinois he comes off the board in the fifth round. And so we're coming into the sixth round. We've got a number of picks left, but those two positions, quarterback and defensive
line, we have not addressed yet. And so that is a concern. Now, thankfully, if you've been along
the ride for a bunch of these, you know, Brett Rippin's probably going to be available. Ryan
Finley, he is already off the board, but Brett Rippin is probably going to be available. Ryan Finley, he is already off the board, but Brett Rippon is probably going to be available.
He's probably the last quarterback,
and he just came off the board.
So the Colts at 199.
So that leaves us without addressing the quarterback position,
which kind of hurts.
Not going to lie.
It stings a bit.
So there's a quarterback that, while I wouldn't be overjoyed if he was the guy to be
the successor to Brady, at least right now, I could see it working. Still, I'd rather get one
of the other guys. So we're going to look away from quarterback for a bit. We're going to come
back to some of the other positions and look at what's available right now. I'm going to look at probably addressing the linebacker position i know it's
outside of the box but might need to get a guy in dakota allen from texas tech that's the route
we're going to go here so that's going to be the pick here at the start of the sixth round
now we're going to get into in a moment the seventh round to close this out we get a number
of picks in the seventh round one of them is going to be a, in a moment, the seventh round to close this out. We get a number of picks in the seventh round.
One of them is going to be a quarterback.
One of them is probably going to have to be a defensive lineman
because we haven't addressed those positions yet.
And so now Patriots back on the clock here.
And the position we're going to look at, I think, given how this has fallen,
is defensive line.
And the pickings are thin here.
The pickings are thin.
I won't lie to you, ladies and gentlemen,
but Brian Cowart from the University of Maryland
is on the board, so that will be the selection here.
This is that pick at 239.
Patriots back on the clock again.
I'll address the quarterback position here.
Easton Stick, North Dakota State.
Welcome to the New England Patriots.
You are not Brett Rippon.
This is true, but that's the way we're going to go.
Then we're going to go, we've got one need left, it's the running back position.
But a Leezy Mack, if the Patriots triple dip at a position, it might be tight end.
So we'll welcome a Leezy Mack into the fold.
Yeah, it's an outside of the box type of selection, but hey, who knows?
Patriots have done crazier things.
And finally, the last pick here in this mock, we're going to go the running back spot.
We'll add Wes Hills from Slippery Rock because why not?
So that will do it.
That's my mock here for this mock draft Monday.
It didn't go the way I would have liked.
Interestingly enough, this is not the first time,
probably won't be the last time that we do a mock with Matt Miller's board.
And each time it seems that Rippon sort of comes off in the board in that sixth round.
It's why in a recent Fanspeak mock I traded up into the sixth to make sure we get him because it does seem like even in a lot of these simulators,
he's coming off the board in the sixth round.
But this class, T.J. Hawkinson, Juan Thornhill, Calvin Harmon, Charles Omenahu, Bobby Evans, Andy Isabella, Jay Sternberger,
Dakota Allen, the linebacker, Brian Cowart, defensive line, Easton Stick, Alizi Mack,
the tight end, and Wes Hills from Slippery Rock but that's me what about all of you
your mocks up ahead on this mock draft Monday. Mark Schofield back, up ahead on this Mock Draft Monday.
Mark Schofield back with you now on this Mock Draft Monday here at the Locked On Patriots podcast.
And we've heard from me.
Now it's time for you.
Going to have some of your mocks here.
We're going to start with Isaac Gogel, at X-X-I-S-A-A-C-G-O-G-E-L-X-X. All you old Twitter machine, give Isaac a follow.
His mark.
Tight end T.G. Hawkinson at 32.
Safety Taylor Rapp at 56.
Offensive tackle Michael Dieter at 64.
Wide receiver Andy Isabella at 73.
Edge Max Crosby at 97 spot.
Tristan Hill, interior defensive lineman at 101.
Kaden Smith,
that tight end double dip at 134. Ryan Finley at 205. Bryce Love, the running back from Stanford at 239. Cornerback Jimmy Moreland at 243. Offensive tackle Ryan Pope, 246. And LJ Scott
out of Michigan State, the other running back, at 252. A couple of things I really like about
this mock. Obviously,
I'll go to the quarterback first. I think Ryan Finley is also a great fit, so that makes a ton
of sense. Totally understand that selection. Hawkinson, getting him at 32 would be fantastic.
Isabella at 73 I think is a nice little pick. Max Crosby, the edge. He's getting some buzz here,
the edge from Eastern Michigan. He's getting some buzz in this sort of late draft process. So I really like that. Double Dippin' at running back is interesting, but I like
both of those guys. Bryce Love and LJ Scott. Kaden Smith, I think it's a schematic fit. So there's a
lot to really like about this. And you get the safety Taylor Rapp at the start of the second
round or mid of the second round. And so I like that. Fantastic job, Isaac. Love the mock here.
Again, give Isaac a follow.
Next, we've got Joe Curry.
Joe is on Twitter at Joe, J-O-E, in the Altima.
Hey, if that's a Nissan Altima reference,
as a fellow aficionado of the Altima used to have one
before we traded in a couple of years ago.
Love the Altima.
So if that is a Nissan reference, love it, Joe.
Again, give Joe a follow on Twitter,
add Joe in the Ultima.
Like this mock here.
You've got Hakeem Butler at 32.
If they do address wide receiver early,
I think Butler makes some sense.
And then he gets Irv Smith Jr. at the 56 spot.
So you get in those positions locked down.
Amani Hooker, the safety from Iowa,
that's a very nice pick at 64. 73, you get Terry McLaurin, the wide receiver from Ohio State.
And then at 97, Khalil Warren, the tight end from San Diego State. So there you go. Four of your
first five picks, two tight ends, two wide receivers. I think you get that figured out.
I like that. Daylon Mack, interior defensive lineman at 101. Chuma Adoga, the offensive
tackle at 134. Then Mitch Hyatt, another offensive tackle at 235. That's not a bad idea in terms of
double dipping an offensive tackle. If they do make a bulk of these picks, you know, say a majority
of the 12 or so, not a bad idea to make sure you get a couple of options at offensive tackle.
Then a double dip at edge, Austin Bryant and then Jonathan Ledbetter.
Two interesting picks in the seventh round, Trey Lamar, linebacker at.246.
And then Tony Pollard, a running back, at.252.
Obviously, look, as a quarterback guy, I'm going to say there's no QB here.
But if the Patriots are confident enough in the trio they have,
obviously they're confident in Brady,
and then Brian Hoyer and Danny Etlin to
hold it down, those two guys, if, God forbid, something happens, and they're willing to punt
it to the next year. This is a very nice haul. So, the non-QB route, very intriguing job. Well
done, Joe. Again, give Joe a follow at Joe and the Ultima on the Twitter machine. Next, we got
Haitham Winterbottom on Twitter at Haitham, H-A-I-T-H-A-M underscore Winters.
He says, this is a bit of an unrealistic mock,
but I kind of dig where he's going.
And we see some overlap with some later round players
with some of the earlier mocks that we had.
So I like seeing that.
32, TJ Hawkinson.
Shape it up to be one of those,
if he's there, get him type mocks
for Patriots fans this year.
56, Charles Amenahu, the defensive lineman slash edge from Texas.
Like that.
Irv Smith at 64.
That's a really nice 1-2-3 punch right there.
I really like that job right there, Hutham.
Amani Hooker, the safety at 73 from Iowa.
And again, another name being connected to the New England Patriots.
Mecole Hardman.
Interesting to see that wide receiver linked here,
but I think it's a very nice pick.
One of the more sort of underrated type wide receivers,
not linked to the Patriots a ton, but does make some sense.
At 101, Joe Giles Harris, linebacker.
Like that selection.
At 134, this is a new one, but I like it.
Jared Stidham.
I think if he's there, he's a guy that I think the Patriots
might like schematically.
Again, showed some rough moments on tape at Auburn the past two seasons,
but scout the traits, not the scheme.
I think the traits are there, so I do like that.
Bryce Love at 205.
And seeing him again, the running back from Stanford.
Jalen Hurd, running back at Tennessee, wide receiver at Baylor.
He's getting some sort of late draft buzz here at the wide receiver spot.
He had him at 239. Sharif Miller on edge at Baylor. He's getting some sort of late draft buzz here at the wide receiver spot. He had him at 239.
Sharif Miller an edge at 243.
Austin Bryant here in that name again, another edge at 246.
And then again, Mitch Hyatt, an offensive tackle at 252,
a name already done in one of the earlier mark drafts.
So very nice group of picks there,
especially you pique my interest when you get a new quarterback into the mix.
So again, great job, Hyatt.
Thanks for sending it in follow him
on Twitter at H-A-I-T-H-A-M
underscore
Winters
next mock comes to us from Pluto equals
planet please I like that little
little Neil deGrasse Tyson shout out in a sense
at you know what I said on
Twitter for the show a mock
going through it right
now and we've got Chase Winovich at 32 to the wrap,
the safety at that first pick in the second round.
Riley Ridley, a name that's kind of fallen off the radar a bit,
that second pick in the second round.
Then Gerald Willis, defensive tackle for Miami.
Again, a player I think the Patriots would really sort of like to get in,
like that fit.
Andy Isabella, another name you hear a lot from the Patriots,
wide receiver in the third round.
Jay Sternberger, their final pick in the third round,
the 37th pick in the third round.
They're very interested in him, you know, taking a meeting with him.
That makes some sense.
Sharif Miller, the edge from Penn State, the fourth round pick
in the 32nd spot in the fourth round.
Hunter Renfro, there's round. Hunter Renfro.
There's our first Hunter Renfro reference.
I don't think he'll be the last, so he's there.
Then you've got Tristan Hill, defensive tackle from UCF here in that name again.
Clayton Thorson.
There we go. Seventh round pick in the 29th spot in the seventh round.
Mark Fields, cornerback from Clemson.
Drew Sample.
Nice tight end there, getting him in the seventh round.
And so, you know what I said?
That's a pretty good mock.
I like it.
I like double-dipping when you did the positions you did it at.
I think the Thorson pick is very interesting.
I don't like him personally.
Something from when I studied him and evaluated him,
wasn't a huge fan of him.
But I could totally see this would be a situation
where the New England Patriots would like some of what he did.
And so I think that makes a ton of sense.
Give you know what I said a follow on Twitter at
at you know what I said.
Up next, one more mock in this segment.
This comes to us.
This was sent to me via Charles Wick on Twitter
at ChuckTheProcess.
This is more of your standard mock draft format.
Jerry Tillery, defensive end, defensive tackle, Notre Dame at 32.
Irv Smith, tight end from Alabama at 56.
Debo Samuel, wide receiver, South Carolina at 64.
Jonathan Abram, safety, Mississippi State at 73.
The J. Sternberger, A&M tight end at 97.
Mitch Hyatt, 101.
Seeing that name again, the offense attack from Clemson.
Anthony Nelson, the defensive end from Iowa at 134.
Then Brett Rippin, quarterback, Boise State at 205.
I love it.
I'm a big fan of this one because I think you get the double dip at tight end that you like.
I think Debo makes a ton of sense.
And look, if you get Brett R Brett ripping into one of these mocks,
I'm going to give it a shout-out. Plus, Jerry Tillery,
I think, if he's there at
32, I do think that makes a ton of sense for the
Patriots. And so, those are the first five I wanted
to get to. I'm going to get to the next five
to close out this mock draft Monday. Again,
thank you all so much. Do me a
favor. Give everybody a follow whose mock was
dropped so far in today's show or is
about to come. Show them some love.
Show them you appreciate the effort turned into a mock here for Locked On Patriots.
Up next, the next five mocks on this Mock Draft Monday.
Mark Schofield back with you now to close out this Mock Draft Monday here at the Locked On Patriots podcast.
And let's just keep them rolling here.
Our next mock comes to us from our great friend David Ackman at DAVID,
A-K-M-A-N.
First time running the mock this year.
Still sleep deprived due to a huge fan of the pod,
little man bi-week Toby.
Throwing a patented Patriots reach pick as well.
Thanks again, David.
Hope the little guy's doing well.
Here's his mock, which he did via the draft network
and their mock draft machine.
Christian Wilkins, interior defensive lineman from Clemson at 32.
Irv Smith, another popular pick at 56, the tight end from Alabama.
Andy Isabella at 64, the wide receiver from UMass.
Jalen Ferguson, the Louisiana Tech edge at 73.
Interesting pick because the change in direction drills
did seem to give him some trouble on his pro day.
Might have been a slick surface.
Again, NCAA career leader in sacks, and so that stands for something.
Tyree Jackson, there we go, at 97.
Developmental but raw and talented quarterback from the University of Buffalo.
Sean Davis, linebacker at 101.
Stanley Morgan Jr., there we go.
Wide receiver from Nebraska, 134. luca dennis safety 205 then
you've got calvin calvin anderson offensive tackle 239 blaise brown cornerback at 243
jerome washington tight end at 246 and kyle phillips edge at 252 i really like that mock
i know a lot of people are talking about tyree jack a bit, so I think that's a good pick there too.
Next one comes to us from Jim Reynolds on the Twitter machine.
He uses the mock draft machine over at the Draft Network.
A lot of people use that one.
Good to see it.
Those guys are doing some great work over there.
Jeffrey Tillery, a 32 to the New England Patriots.
Jay Sternberger from A&M, the tight end.
Very popular name.
Patriots at 56, 64.
Deebo Samuel,
73. LJ
Collier, edge from TCU
at 97. Marquise Blair,
the safety from Utah. Guy's getting some
interesting buzz in this draft process.
Connor McGovern, offensive lineman to
the Patriots from Penn State at 101
at 134. Gary
Johnson, linebacker from Texas at 205.
Bryce Love, running back from Stanford.
Seeing his name again.
Brett Rippett, there it is. Boise State at
239. Jalen Hurd,
running back slash wide receiver from Baylor at
243. 246. Mitch
Hyatt, offensive tackle Clemson. And then
rounding it off, 252.
Khalil Hodge, linebacker from Buffalo. I
think that guy sort of screams
Patriot because the production is there.
Maybe some of the testing and stuff isn't.
But, you know, Jim, thanks for the mock there.
Fantastic job.
Obviously, again, the Brett Rippin pick is huge.
Next, two mocks come to us from Luis Herrera at Luis, L-U-I-S-R-H-A.
He gives me two mocks, one with the current 12 picks
and one considering a trade for Joshosh rosen he also says in both
actually got hawkinson at 32 but seeing 90 of simulations it seems more realistic to get irv
smith there or sternberger in the second round i think that's a great call by luis again please
give him a follow at l-u-i-s-r-h-a the first non-trade non non-Rosenmark. Again, Hawkinson at 32.
Deontay Thompson, the safety from Alabama at 56.
Michael Dieter, offensive tackle, Wisconsin at 64.
I like that pick.
DeAndre Walker, edge, Georgia at 73.
Riley Ridley, wide receiver, Georgia at 97, going back-to-back to the Bulldogs.
Joe Gallis-Harris, the Duke linebacker at 101.
Daylon Mack, defensive lineman from A&M, 134.
And there you go.
Look, Brett Rippin, quarterback, Boise State, 205.
Devon Oswo, running back from Nebraska, 239.
Sylveon Smith, cornerback from Alabama, 243.
Then we got Donald Parham, tight end from Stetson, 246.
And Penny Hart to round it out, 252, the wide receiver from Georgia State.
Penny's per day was pretty bad.
Doesn't kind of match up with what people saw down at the Mobile for the senior bowl.
But if he's there in the seventh round, I'm all aboard.
So I really like this Monk.
I like getting Thompson.
I think he's an underrated safety.
Obviously, Hawkinson in the first round is great.
Brett Rippon is going to get a shot out.
So Luis, fantastic job there.
Now we go over to the trademark.
And in this trade, picks 56 and 73.
So, you've got the first, second rounder, and the first, third rounder.
They go to the Cardinals for Josh Rosen in a sixth-round pick.
So, I thought that was well-constructed.
T.J. Hawkinson again at 32.
Then at 64, Darnell Savage.
A safety from Maryland.
A 97, Colleen Saunders.
There you go.
Interior defensive lineman from Western Illinois.
Riley Ridley at 101.
Wide receiver from Georgia.
Malik Carney.
Edge from UNC at 134.
Selvion Smith again.
At least likes him some Selvion Smith.
179 from Alabama.
Jahali Tavani.
Ooh, that's a good name.
I liked watching this kid, the linebacker from Hawaii,
play sideline to sideline.
When they played against Army, they put him down on the edge.
He's got some versatility to him.
He's a fun player to watch.
I would be all about this pick.
I like that pick.
Great job, Luis.
Malik Gant, safety from Marshall at 239.
Penny Hart, again, 243. The wide receiver from Georgia State. Jonathan Ledbetter, the edge from Marshall at 239. Penny Hart, again, 243.
The wide receiver from Georgia State.
Jonathan Ledbetter, the edge from Georgia at 246.
And Caleb Wilson, who's made a little bit of buzz around himself,
done some good stuff in the pre-draft process here,
the tight end from UCLA.
And again, if you get Hawkinson in the first,
Caleb Wilson is a nice little TE2 there if you're going to double dip.
So, Luis, fantastic job all around.
Giving me two different mocks. You get one with a trade,
one without. I love the Jelani
Tavi pick. Love that pick.
The linebacker from Hawaii. So again, please
give Luis a follow.
Two more mocks. First,
our great friend John Lemarakis at
John, J-O-H-N-A
L-I-M-B-E-R-A-K-I-S.
He did it on a
difficult setting.
Matt Miller's board over at Fanspeak.
32.
T.J. Hawkinson.
Very popular name for the Patriots if he's there at 32.
At 56, Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, the safety from Florida.
At 64, Chase Winovich.
The edge from Michigan.
At 73, you get Charles Omena, who a double dip at edge at 64 and 73.
John, I love it.
You get those picks done.
I really like both those guys.
At 97, Gerald Willis.
John's a defense-heavy guy.
You get the tight end, then you go safety, edge, edge, defensive line.
Love it, John.
Addressing the defensive side of the ball.
If everybody's zigging, John's going to zag, a little Belichick style.
101, Terry McLaurin, wide receiver from Ohio State.
At 134, Chuma Odoga, the offensive tackle, USC.
And then 205, little Ryan Finley job.
Everybody likes some quarterbacks here.
205 might be the sweet spot for the quarterback in this draft.
We're seeing a lot of ripping in Finley at that spot.
Blake Cashman, this guy's getting some serious buzz right now.
A.239, the linebacker from Minnesota.
And then we get Dax Raymond at.243.
Stanley Morgan at 246,
Miles Boykin at 252.
John just clearing it up.
Those picks in the seventh round are guys that are getting early day three buzz,
and John's getting them in the seventh.
I've got to say, the Patriots coming out of the draft with this draft,
whew, they better be hiring our buddy John here for the next year's draft.
But, John, fantastic job as always.
Give John a follow again on Twitter at John, J-O-H-N-A-L-I-M-B-E-R-A-K-I-S.
And finally, closing out with a mock from Italy.
I loved seeing this.
Mattia Rizzo, at underscore M-A-T-T-I-A underscore R-I-Z-Z-O underscore,
sending in a mock from Italy.
Loved it.
Here's a mock draft from Italy.
I used the mock draft machine.
I was pretty lucky.
The worst gap was from 102 to 135.
If I could have traded 32 for a second and a fourth,
I would have been able to select some good wide receivers.
Farrell was value, though.
And you see it at the start.
Clint Farrell, the edge from Clemson at 32.
Irv Smith at 56.
Darnell Savage at 64.
Josh Oliver early there at 73. I love it. Khalid Saunders at 97. Stanley Morgan Jr. at 56. Darnell Savage at 64. Josh Oliver early there at 73.
I love it.
Khalid Saunders at 97.
Stanley Morgan Jr. at 101.
Brett Rippett at 134.
Mattia, I'm loving this mock.
Hunter Renfroe at 205.
Then you get into some of those seventh round picks.
Cleland Doss, wide receiver from UC Davis at 239.
Easton Stick.
Mattia's thinking ahead.
He's thinking we'll double dip a quarterback with Rippett and Stick, but Stick's got the versatility to change positions. Easton Stick. Matias is thinking ahead. He's thinking, well, double-dip a quarterback with
Ripon and Stick, but Stick's got the versatility to change
positions. I love it. Ryan Conley,
linebacker from Wisconsin, and Joshua
Williams, running back from Washington State.
This is fantastic stuff, Matias.
I love it. Thank you so much for sending it in.
I love the double-dip a quarterback. I love
Josh Oliver early being aggressive there
and Stanley Morgan Jr. too, grabbing
what you did, and then the wide receiver you added a little bit later with Doss and Rentro.
That's really fun stuff there.
This has been a fantastic show.
As I've said before, this is your show.
I love hearing from all of you, interacting with all of you.
I know a number of you have sent these in and said you were digging some
Locked on Patriots Slack channel invites.
I'm going to get those invites out.
Probably by the time you listen to the show, those will be out.
Fantastic to interact with all of you.
Again, if you want to be a part of the Locked on Patriots Slack channel
as we get ready for the draft, we are talking about this stuff all the time.
It's a ton of fun.
Guys like John Lemarakis and David Archibald and others
get into mocks all the time talking about these prospects.
It's a ton of fun, so I would love to see all of you in there it's been a blast so far i'm going to have more of these type of mock draft
mondays because look it's boring listen to somebody else's mock i like talking about other
people's i love interacting with all of you so we'll do this again and again and again i've had
a blast today i'll be back tomorrow we'll do some tape stuff who knows it'll be fun not as fun as
this perhaps maybe we'll see. But listen,
if you're going to partake in some April Fool's Day festivities, here's a good one. We did this
to a buddy of ours, a freshman here in college. He took his entire dorm room, all of it, and
rearranged it in the bathroom. All of it, everything, like dressers, bed, everything.
We even made the bed. We put a little mint on the pillow like it was in a hotel. That was some fun.
Have some good, clean fun with it, okay?
There are some other things we did in college that I'm not going to tell you about.
Those might have to stay in the Locked on Patriots Slack channel.
But had some fun today.
We'll be back tomorrow.
Until next time, keep it locked right here to me, Mark Schofield, and Locked on Patriots. you
