Hey there everybody, welcome on into a mock draft roundup Tuesday here at the Locked On
Patriots podcast.
Mark Schofield sliding into the big chair for today, Tuesday, April 16th, 2019.
We are basically like just around the corner from the 2019 NFL Draft.
We are making our way towards the big weekend.
What we're going to do today, we're going to take a look at some various mock drafts
around the football media world.
First, with a focus on Patriots picks only.
Then we're going to take a look at some first round mocks.
Kind of talk where it seems like some players are starting to move up or down boards, where people are starting to project some trades to take place.
So a lot of stuff to get to, but before we do any of that, a reminder to follow me on Twitter at Mark Schofield.
You can check out all the work at places like InsideThePylon.com, Pro Football Weekly, The Score, Matt Waldman's rookie scouting portfolio, and a trio of SB Nation websites including Big Blue View,
Bleeding Green Nation, and of course, Pat's Pulpit.
Now, the great thing about this time of the year is that
for a lot of people in the football media world,
they've gone beyond the, let's do a first round mock.
Now it's time to get things kicked up a notch.
Let's do a day one mock. Now it's time to get things kicked up a notch.
Let's do a day one mock or a day one and two mock or rounds one and two mock
where some people are crazy enough
to give you some full seven round mock.
So the great part about this time of the year
is now you're getting a sense
for where people are viewing
just the entire flow of the draft,
both up and down the draft board,
where people are looking at New England addressing needs on days one and days two,
sometimes into days three of the draft.
And so it's a great exercise to get a sense of where people are sort of looking at New England,
you know, not just the first round, all over the draft board.
So let's get into it right now.
We're going to start with a mock from Ryan Wilson over at CBS.
And he goes into days one and two.
And so first round, second round, third round.
And the Patriots address a bunch of needs in this one.
So let's get through it here.
The pick at 32 is probably a little early.
Especially in our mock yesterday.
We got this player at 64, but Ryan Wilson goes pick 32 at the end of the first round,
Chase Winovich, the edge from Michigan.
And I think he is a Patriots-type player, good motor, good hand usage, good quickness.
I do think they will address edge.
I don't know about 32 for him.
I think 64 is kind of a nice spot for him, even if they want to do it at
56. 32, I do think that there will be some players that they could probably address some different
needs at that spot. But I do like Chase Winovich finding his way to New England, but I think he's
more of a day two guy. Now, the second round pick is one that I have some concerns about as well.
That's Keneal Harry, the wide receiver from Arizona State.
Ryan Wilson has the Patriots draft in him at 56.
And I do think he's a very good receiver, but let's talk about his strengths for a moment.
This is Lance Zerline, his sort of combine profile of him.
Back-shouldered boss who thrives with contested catch opportunities outside the numbers,
but lacks explosive traits. Harry's ability to body up opponents and win with ball skills is undeniable
but his inability to find a threatening top gear or shake loose from tight man coverage
must be accounted for within his new employer's scheme my concern there is this. It does feel like having gone through a couple of draft cycles now,
the guys that are your contested catch winners, your ball winners,
your guys that can win in a phone booth,
your guys that can win with ball skills, win the 50-50 throws,
that's good and it's great when a player has that ability,
but the concern is if a player constantly
has to rely on it there's an underlying issue here and lance gets it to it gets to it with
the second part the second sentence of his right up here his inability to find a threatening top
gear or shake loose from tight man coverage if a guy can't separate in college, how often is he going to
separate in the pros? And so I'm worried about his fitting into a Patriots offense that does
sort of thrive on winning in the short area, winning on routes, giving Brady a good window
to throw. So I'm a little leery of that pick as well in New England. There's certainly a home
for him in the National Football League. I'm just not sure that as well in New England. There's certainly a home for him in the National Football League.
I'm just not sure that it's in New England.
Now, the pick at 64, though, I think it's one people can get on board with,
especially those on the Locked On Patriots Slack channel.
Jay Sternberger, the tight end from Texas A&M at 64.
I think people would love that pick.
Now we get into the third-round picks here.
Kaleen Saunders at 73, the defensive tackle from Western Illinois. Again, might be a little
rich here for him, but I do like him and I'd be okay with him later in the third or that pick in
the fourth. 73, I don't know about that, but still, I love the player. So, I mean, look, three of the
four picks here, I like the player. I'm just not so sure about the value. Now we get Will Greer at 97
at West Virginia. I'd be fine with that. I said this on Phil Perry's show. If he was on the board,
if Sturton was on the board, Daniel Jones was on the board, Rippon, Finley at 97, I'm fine with
Will Greer. Okay, fantastic. Love to see that. 101, Isaiah Johnson, the corner from Houston. 6'2", 205, physical corner.
I think this could be a Belichick-type player.
He might, he's a converted wide receiver.
So he might need some time to learn the position.
You could put him behind Stephon Gilmore,
let him learn for a season,
and when Gilmore's facing a big payday,
slot in Isaiah Johnson.
So I like this pick.
That's a very nice pick there from Ryan.
Let's do one more here, and
then we'll do some more in the next segment.
This is Christopher Trapasso,
also from CBS Sports. Again,
big fan of Chris. I think he's a fantastic young
football scout of mine. Love the work he does
over at CBS. Do check him out.
32, Dexter Lawrence from Clemson.
Love it. I think this is a good
one. Patriots might see Lawrence as much more than a two-down run stopper.
He can create push as a pass rusher thanks to his handwork and raw power.
So I'm on board with that.
Love that pick from Chris.
At 56, Andy Isabella.
Isabella would destroy underneath and provide a legitimate deep threat at New England.
Again, I like the player.
I think they could get him a little bit later.
But if the league does love him after that combine performance he turned in,. I think they could get him a little bit later, but if the
league does love him after that combine performance he turned in, maybe you would have to get him at
56. So again, love the player. 56 might be a little bit too early, but if he's trending out,
and he might be, then I could understand it. At 64, Darnell Savage, the safety from Maryland.
Just put him underneath, let him run around, let him kill people. That's what he does underneath.
He's a boss in the short area of the field.
And so I like the three players here.
I love Lawrence at 32.
I like Savage at 64.
I could be okay with that.
Isabella at 56 might be a little rich, but still I can get on board with that.
So we're going to hit the pause button here.
Up next, we're going to get into some other deep round mocks
as well as some first round pick only.
Some of this is recovering some common ground with what we did last week,
but there's still some new stuff to get to as well.
So some more stuff here on the way,
doing some mock draft roundups here on this Tuesday installment
of Locked on Patriots.
Mark Schofield back with you now on this mock draft Tuesday roundup installment of the Locked On Patriots podcast.
And going to get into some more Mock Draft roundups here.
We just did a couple from guys from over at CBS Sports.
We had Chris DiPrasso and Ryan Wilson.
Liked a lot of the players that they drafted.
There are some other mocks that we can round up here.
There's Jalen Ferguson from Will Brinson in the first round.
Dalton Rinsner from Charles Davis in the first round.
And again, we did those a couple weeks ago.
Just wanted to plug those for a second here.
I'm not sure about either.
I don't know about Jalen Ferguson
given some of the agility questions.
Dalton Risner, I love the kid.
I don't know about 32
for New England. They can address some different needs.
But I think he would be plug and play
at day one in a couple different spots for some other teams. Maybe if they're worried about
Isaiah Winn at left tackle, they could slide him in at left tackle. I don't know. It's a bit of a
question mark for me. Charlie Casserly, and this one was a bit of a shocker. Drew Locke at 32.
Now, if Drew Locke is there at 32,
I think the Patriots have to give it a ton of thought.
He's my third quarterback in this class.
I think that there's a lot to work with there.
I love his arm.
I think he got better this season under Derek Dooley,
so you did see some development with him.
I think you'd have to give it some serious thought.
Would I do it?
I don't know.
I still feel like the difference between a Locke at 32 and a Greer at 97 isn't much,
or Locke at 32 and a Finley or Rippon in the sixth round isn't much. And so the value you could get
at that pick at 32 addressing another position,
I think outweighs getting a guy like Locker Jones. But I said this on Twitter the other day,
talking to some past fans, Johnny Rumsford, Ethan Hammerman. If they draft, say, a Daniel Jones at
32, I would be grudgingly okay with it. I would grudgingly understand it.
And just about anybody else
from pick 56 on in this class
with like one or two exceptions,
I would be okay with.
So I would grudgingly understand it
if Locke was there at 32 and they did it.
I just personally think the value
later in the draft addressing quarterback
makes more sense to me.
Walter Football, they went deep into the draft.
They did the first six rounds.
A 32, Jeffrey Simmons, defensive lineman, Mississippi State.
Again, I'm cautioning Patriots fans for two potential events in this draft.
Well, maybe three.
Training out of 32, draft of Jeffrey Simmons at 32,
or not drafting Brett Rippon at all.
Simmons is a top-ten talent, would be a steal of 32, drafting Jeffrey Simmons at 32, or not drafting Brett Rippon at all. Simmons is a top 10 talent, would be a steal at 32,
but obviously isn't helping you next year.
At 56, Walter Football gives you Irv Smith from Alabama.
I think that's okay.
I think that makes a lot of sense.
A lot of people think of Irv Smith.
I like him at 56 better than 32, I think.
I'm fine with that.
Andy Isabella at 64?
I mean, similar to the discussion about him earlier,
I think at 64 it kind of makes some sense.
When we talked about it earlier, it was 56.
You're talking about a difference of eight picks.
And so maybe even at 56 it makes sense.
64, I think it makes sense too.
Now at 73, I mentioned a few
minutes ago that I would be fine
with almost any quarterback on day 2 or 3
with a couple of exceptions and here's one.
Clayton Thorson, quarterback from Northwestern.
Now I know that there is
a Northwestern fan in the Locked
On Patriots Slack channel that
might be a little bit
dismayed at hearing me
talking like this
about the one and only Clayton Thorson.
But he just doesn't get me that excited.
Who's Ziva Patel?
I'm sorry, my man.
I know you're a Northwestern guy.
And Clayton Thorson, like, he's just okay.
I would be much more excited with other quarterbacks,
especially at 73.
Now, what they say about him in the write-up, plus mechanics, can make any pass,
fit and throws into tight windows, nice arm, smart and athletic.
I think that's okay.
But interestingly, they say he could be a second-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft.
I think this is kind of their preseason write-up on him.
I do think that there are some concerns about him still.
I would be okay with him in the 6th or 7th round, but
at 73, I
think that's much too early for him.
Third round at 97, Amarni Hooker, the corner
from Iowa, who's sort of a safety
convert. I think that would make some
sense. They can even drop him down at linebacker, so
I would like that pick at
the 97 spot. David Lawn,
corner from Michigan.
Joseph Ferriola told me about him early around senior bowl time.
I think he's a Patriots-type player.
I've said that before.
Fourth round, 134, David Sills from West Virginia, the wide receiver.
Boundary-type guy, good size, 6'4", 203.
Sixth round, Terrell Dodson, linebacker from Texas A&M.
They're missing some picks in here as well. But I think, look, linebacker makes some sense in the sixth round.
Mel Kuyper Jr.
Anytime Mel doesn't mock draft and goes deep, you've got to give it some attention.
32, Irv Smith.
Okay, maybe a little early, but a lot of people are saying that.
56, Colleen Saunders, a defensive tackle from Western Illinois.
I think that is way too early for him.
But if the Patriots love him, look, that would be a Belichick move, right?
Drafting the small school guy, a four-year starter at Western Illinois at 56.
I think he's probably going to be there to start day three, still on the board.
But, hey, that would be one of those in Belichick we trust moments.
At 64, Jarrett Stidham from Auburn.
Okay, I could live with this.
I could live with it.
Stidham, theurn. Okay, I could live with this. I could live with it. Stidham,
the tape is tough at times, but look, if nothing else, if they draft
Jarrett Stidham, the header photo on my Twitter
account is me and the new Patriots quarterback
chatting it up at the Senior Bowl.
That would be okay. I could live with that.
Also, Todd McShay goes a couple
rounds into a mock here. We'll finish
it up with Todd McShay's first three picks
for New England. Irv Smith Jr. at 32. So both McShay's first three picks for New England. Irv Smith Jr. at
32. So both McShay and
Kuyper, they're saying Irv Smith.
At 56,
Daniel Jones.
And look, for what I've
said about Daniel Jones, if he's there at
56, it's not that I would
love it, but okay, I can see
it. I can see it at 56. And
that's probably about where I would
evaluate him in this draft.
He's more of a late second,
early third type guy, I think.
There you go. 56. I'm okay with that.
At 64, Gerald Willis, the defensive
tackle for Miami. I think that could
make some sense, too. I've talked about him a little bit
on the show. There's some more
people where they're viewing the Patriots
with some potential picks under the first, second, even third days of the draft. And so there's some more people where they're viewing the Patriots with some potential picks under the first, second,
even third days of the draft.
I mean, again, most of the players I'm okay with.
Thorson might be the one where I'm just kind of like I don't see it.
And Jalen Ferguson in the first round that I really don't see.
Now some of the picks I do think is a little bit too early.
But Thorson at 73, you could throw that into that mix as well.
But if Jones is there at 56,
I would be okay with it, I think.
Stidham at 64, I would be okay with.
I do like the idea of Greer at 97.
But as I said,
outside of Thorson and a couple of others,
most any quarterback from pick 56 on,
I would probably be okay with.
Even if they did something as crazy as ripping a 56,
then I could just run around Twitter and be like,
I told y'all. I told you.
Up next, we're
going to go over and check out our great
friends over at thedraftnetwork.com.
I'm going to look at both a Kyle
Krabs predictive mock. We've got
a Brad Kelly mock, as well as
a Trevor Sikama seven-round
mock for the New England Patriots.
I want to talk about those.
That's next on this Tuesday Mock Draft Roundup Show of Locked On Patriots.
Mark Schofield back with you now.
I'm going to close out this Mock Draft Roundup Show here on this Tuesday installment of the Locked On Patriots podcast.
And look at some stuff from our great friends over at thedraftnetwork.com.
I want to start with a what I would do mock draft from the one and only Kylo Krabs.
You can check him out at Grinding the Tape on Twitter.
And he starts it off rather interestingly.
Quinton Williams, a defensive tackle to the Cardinals with the first overall pick.
He thinks he's the best player available.
And so that's what he wants to go with.
Brian Burns, a two to the 49ers, the edge from Florida State.
He's been Kyle's edge one for a few weeks now.
It's probably a really early pick for him.
But if that's your edge one, the 49ers need edge help, there you go.
That leaves Nick Bosa at three to the Jets.
Fantastic pick for the Jets.
They need edge help, so that makes a lot of sense. DK Metcalf at four to the Jets. Fantastic pick for the Jets. They need edge help, so that makes a lot of sense.
DK Metcalf at four to the Raiders.
I do not know about this one.
Look, I love you, Kyle,
but they could go in a couple of different directions,
especially if this is the way this draft pans out.
I know with Burns, Bosa, Williams off the board already,
you could probably still go in a different direction.
You could go Ed Oliver.
I think that one makes some sense.
You know, Metcalf, Antonio Brown, and Terrell Williams
is a nice trio of wide receivers,
but with the Antonio Brown and Terrell Williams sign-ins,
you don't need to address wide receiver this early.
Ed Oliver at five to the Buccaneers, that's something I mocked.
I think it makes some sense.
Juwan Taylor, an offensive tackle to the Giants at six.
I think offensive tackle makes some sense. Juwan Taylor, an offensive tackle to the Giants at 6. I think offensive tackle makes some sense.
I went a different direction eventually.
I went Andre Dillard to the Giants,
but I think Juwan Taylor makes some sense for them.
That would be a good offensive line.
Noah Fant, the tight end to the Jaguars at 7.
They do need a tight end.
Fant would make some sense.
TJ Hawkinson to the Lions at 8.
I think, look, they need edge.
They need tight end.
Both of those guys would make some sense.
Glennon Farrell at nine to the Bills.
Good fit for them.
They could put him on the edge, put him opposite from Shaq Clawson.
Nice little pass rush there.
Broncos, Devin White.
I think this makes some sense for them.
They've got the quarterback, Flacco, at least for this year.
Don't force a quarterback.
I think they could build around Joe Flacco for a bit. Devin
White, good pick for the Broncos. Dalton
Risner, the Bengals at 11.
I like the Bengals as a dark horse
pick for a quarterback spot, so I do
think they would go in a different direction there.
But Risner, they need some offensive tackle
help too, so
that would make some sense.
Chauncey Garner-Johnson, the safety from Florida.
The Packers are 12.
The Packers do need a safety.
I think they could get it at 30.
I think they'd go a different direction here.
But if they were thinking one of the two Iowa tight ends, they're not there.
This isn't a bad consolation prize.
Jonah Williams, the offensive tackle from Alabama.
The Dolphins are 13.
Christian Wilkins, I love this pick to Atlanta at 14.
Put him next
to Grady Jarrett. Just collapse the opposing pocket. Josh Allen, the Kentucky edge. He goes
to Washington at 15. Big slide for him. He might be the first edge off the board or at least the
second edge off the board, but here he falls to 15. Montez Sweat for the Panthers at 16.
That's a steal, I think. He might fall. I don't think he's going to fall at
16, but if he does, the Panthers should run to the podium. Kyler Murray at 17 to the Giants. I
would love it. There's no way he's going to fall, but this is what I would do, Mark, or what Kyle
would do. And so I think that would be fantastic. Parentham, Saquon Barkley. The Vikings, they go
Chris Lindstrom, interior offensive lineman from BC. I think he'll be there in the second round,
but he would be a good fit for the Vikings who do need some offensive line help.
Eric McCoy, a 19 to the Titans.
McCoy is moving up boards.
Believe me.
You know, this is the first I've seen him in the first round,
but it won't be the last.
He's now played himself into first-round contention,
had a very good pre-draft process.
Devin Bush, linebacker from Michigan to the Steelers at 20.
Steelers would run to the podium to do that.
Nasir Adderley.
Everybody that I know is mocking Adderley to the Seahawks somehow.
And so I do think it makes some sense here.
Garrett Bradbury, the interior offensive lineman to the Ravens.
I think the Ravens need some offensive line help.
They do need some wide receiver help.
Bradbury's a good fit.
Texans, as Kyle put it,
offensive line no matter what. Cody
Ford, offensive tackle from Oklahoma, fine.
We'll love it. Byron Murphy
at 24 to the Raiders. Makes some sense
here. They need a corner. I think he would fit
there. Murphy and Gary Onconley
give them two good corners.
25, the Eagles. Chase Winovich.
So there you have Kyle putting
Chase Winovich in the first round.
I just talked about 32 might be too rich for him.
Kyle's saying that he would be at 25, and so maybe I'm wrong there.
Maybe Winovich at 32 wouldn't be a bad pick.
Dexter Lawrence, the interior defensive lineman to the Colts at 26,
good pick for them.
Rashawn Gary, edge from Michigan to the Raiders at 27.
I had the Raiders doing that as well in one of my mocks,
or at least I thought about it, even at Ford.
So getting him at 27 makes some sense.
Drew Locke to the Chargers at 28.
I love this.
I think this is a good fit for him.
I wrote this for Pro Football Weekly.
Drew Locke to the Chargers would be an ideal fit.
Fantastic.
Chiefs got a corner from Penn State.
Amani Oruware.
Probably not the name you were expecting, but they do need a corner that makes some sense to me Andre Dillard here he comes off
the board at 30 to Washington State Rams get Greedy Williams the corner from LSU at 31 and
the Patriots Jerry Tillery interior defensive lineman from Notre Dame he's there at 32 so that's
Kyle Krabs now we'll work our way through Brad Kelly.
He's got sort of a predictive, more of a projection-type mock.
He's got Murray to the Cardinals at 1, Bosa at 2, Allen at 3,
Quinter Williams at 4, Devin White, the linebacker from LSU,
to the Bucs at 5, Haskins at 6, to the Giants,
Jawan Taylor, the tackle, to the Jags at 7,
Noah Fant, the tight end to the Lions at 8. So Taylor the tackle to the Jags at seven. Noah Fant the tight end to the Lions
at eight. So here you see Hawkinson fall
a bit. DK Metcalf to the Bills at nine.
I've seen that. I think that could make some sense
for them. Drew Locke to the Broncos at ten.
I think they go non-quarterback, but if they
do go a quarterback, Elway seems to love
Drew Locke. Ed Oliver to the
Bengals is a fantastic pick.
They lose a linebacker. You think
they might need a linebacker? Well, you get the linebackers. They lose a linebacker. You think they might need a linebacker.
Well, you get the linebackers.
They have some help up front.
Put in with Geno Atkins.
That's a fantastic interior pair.
Ooh, fantastic pick for the Bengals.
Brian Burns, the Florida edge to the Packers at 12.
Montez Sweat, the Mississippi State edge to the Dolphins at 13.
Again, Christian Wilkins, me, Kyle, Brad, all saying it.
Put him a grade to Jarrett.
Just thrive. It's draft Wilkins, question mark, question mark, question mark, profit. all saying it. Wilkins. Put him a grade at Jarrett. Just thrive.
It's draft Wilkins, question mark, question mark, question mark, profit.
It's that kind of situation.
Sean Gary, the edge from Michigan to the Redskins at 15.
That's a bit of an interesting one.
Haven't seen that one before.
Clinton Farrell, the edge from Clemson.
Popular pick to the Panthers at 16.
Cody Ford to the Giants at 17.
I do think that makes some sense for them.
If they go Haskins, get them some protection.
That gives you the offensive line.
It gives you the quarterback.
Pretty good one-two spot there from Dave Gettleman.
Vikings at 18, TJ Hawkinson.
Brad, I love you, buddy, but this is a question mark.
They need offensive line help, so I don't know about this one.
But if Hawkinson's there, look, it's great value.
Let's put it that way.
They have more pressing needs than tight ends, as Brad writes here.
But he also writes, it's no secret that quarterback Kirk Cousins
enjoys targeting the position in the pass game.
I could see it working.
Hakeem Butler to the Titans, they could go wide receiver.
I picture them going either edge, maybe tight end if one of the Iowa guys
is there.
But I don't know about wide receiver here.
It would make some sense, though, I think.
You could do some things with him.
Brad Kelly loves him.
Thinks he could be the second wide receiver off the board.
Dynamic size and strength.
Moves like a receiver half of his size.
So there's some things about that that could work in Tennessee.
Devin Bush, again, the linebacker to the Steelers.
You could put either corner or linebacker basically in a raceable pen.
Let's put it that way for the Steelers at 20.
Nasir Adderley, again, at 21 to the Seahawks.
Keneal Harry, Arizona State.
If you're going to get a contested catch receiver, I think it makes sense for Baltimore,
given what we've seen so far from Lamar Jackson.
Might struggle with his accuracy.
Throws you into some contested catch situations.
Good quarterback.
That's a situation where you want a receiver
that can help bail out your quarterback.
Garrett Bradbury to the Texans.
Again, offensive line, they got to do it.
Raiders, Jonah Williams at 24.
If he slides to 24, teams better be calling up.
Try to get up there and get Jonah Williams.
Train up to go get him because he's a great player.
Getting him at 24 would be a steal.
That's what the Raiders do.
Chaunty Gardner-Johnson, I think the Eagles need a safety at 25.
That makes some sense.
Brian Murphy, the corner to the Colts at 26.
It could work.
They're a zone-heavy team.
We saw that last year.
We talked about it last year.
Heavy zone team.
He's a zone corner.
So the scheme fit works.
Surprised by the position, but the fit makes some sense.
Grady Williams, the corner from LSU. Again, the Raiders need a corner. Makes some sense. Dalton
Risser, offensive tackle from Kansas State to the Chargers at 28. I like that pick. DeAndre Baker,
Georgia corner. I've seen this mocked a lot to the Chiefs. Makes some sense. Dillard, the offensive
tackle to the Packers. I like that. Chris Winstom, they need an interior line. Help the Rams do. So
Lindstrom makes some sense. And then Pats fan Brad Kelly gives us Jerry Tillery, interior lineman from Notre Dame.
Let's run through this quickly now.
A seven-round walk for the New England Patriots from Trevor Sykema.
I gave Trevor some stick about this.
We'll see why in a second.
He also has Tillery at 32.
So three guys from the draft network all giving the Patriots Tillery at 32. Hopefully one of them, or all, all given the Patriots. Tillery at 32.
Hopefully one of them or all of them are right,
because I would like that pick.
Irv Smith at 56.
Debo Samuel.
Love that at 64.
Ben Benogu, the edge from TCU at 73.
I like that.
Josh Oliver.
Maybe a little early to double dip with Josh Oliver at 97,
but I can live with it.
The third-round pick, a 101, Joe Giles Harris, linebacker from Duke.
Okay, I can live with it.
Daylon Mack, defensive line from A&M, that fourth-round pick at 134.
Jalen Hurd at 205, there you go.
Name we're seeing a link a lot with the New England Patriots.
He might be moving up boards.
Trevor did this mock. I'm trying to see when he did it uh was at the end of March so Hurd might
be more of a late day two type guy but if he's there at 205 certainly do it Bruce Anderson the
running back from NDSU I like that at 239 Greg Dortch the wide receiver from Wake Forest love
that at 243 uh Jamal Peters the corner corner from MSU, he's at 246.
And then Lamont Galliard, the interior offensive lineman from Georgia, at 252.
You'll notice no quarterback.
I gave Trevor a little bit of stick for that.
I do think they drafted a quarterback at some point, but there you go.
A seven-round mock from Trevor.
So there you've got some insight from the guys over at the Draft Network
who do fantastic work, as well as some other people around the league,
what they're thinking, what they're seeing, what they're
believing about the Patriots at various spots in this draft class. That will do it for today's
show. Tomorrow, we're going to get back into the position countdowns. We're going to look at
the safety position on Wednesday's show. Then on Thursday's show, we'll go offensive line
tackles, as well as guards and interior guys guys have some thoughts on the offensive line.
And then Friday we're going to do who won this week in football as well as our first.
And I'll put it at the end.
I'll put some spoilers in there,
but we will be talking some Game of Thrones action on Friday.
So I'll give everybody a week,
a week to watch it or rewatch it,
whatever you want to do.
But then we're going to chat about it at the end of the week.
So we're going to be doing that Friday while Thoreau airs its final season.
That will do it for today.
I will be back tomorrow.
Until next time, keep it locked right here to me, Mark Schofield,
and Locked on Patriots.
