Great morning world.
Welcome to the Rise Up with Dragon podcast with your host, Dragon.
All right, folks, ready, set, grow.
This is Bring Forth.
Before I even jump into my Dragon thoughts,
one of the new things that I've been enjoying sharing with you
is this pregame that I do where I pick a song and I sing it,
like really, really loud to the point where some people start to ask me
what I'm doing. So today is a mix that is a remix of a song called I'm Blue, but David Getta has a
really cool one called I'm good. And here's just a little clip from the lyrics of it. This is the
kind of stuff I like to listen to before I come speak to you. I'm good by David Getta. I'm good
and I'm feeling all right. Baby, I'm going to have the best fucking night of my life. Wherever it takes
me, I'm down for the ride.
Baby, don't you know I'm good and I'm feeling all right.
And then after that, for the icing on the cake, you move on to his other song called
Titanium, which is, I don't know if you're aware of it, but that's just about being
completely unfuck with the bowl.
So, Dragon Thoughts.
Let's get into this from the reality bender.
I was just thinking about the idea of overlooking things this morning.
We're taught from birth, specifically until we're about seven years old when we lock things in
because we've had an underdeveloped brain and our programmers have programmed us to think a certain way.
So we're taught not to overlook anything as it can result in us missing something.
That's why you don't overlook something.
Hey, don't overlook that.
You know, take your time.
Don't overlook it.
And, you know, the fact is that the whole idea of a lot of stuff that I talk about,
about becoming more conscious and aware is to elevate our capacity to notice things.
That's the whole idea of becoming and aware and also not miss things.
So that's the idea of consciousness.
So I get it.
Thanks, programmers.
I understand it.
However, let's dip into the Dragon's Slayer here.
However, there's an advanced form of this concept of overlooking things where we learn to
quickly sort out.
We've been talking a lot about this.
This is what the interface response system in my book is about.
We learn to sort out all the things that we perceive and we decide what goes, what stays,
what matters, what doesn't.
And once we determine, and you should be, if you have a lot of,
a goal in mind, a North Star, you should be able to sort out and determine who and what matters
and what applies and whether it doesn't. But once you determine something or someone no longer
applies, it's crucial that we give ourselves permission and learn to overlook it. So you do need to
overlook things. So I'm giving you permission to overlook the things that don't matter today.
Stick with the people that pull the magic out of you, not the madness. And then my message is,
I've been watching some movies lately about airplanes.
I don't know if you saw that documentary about the airplane in Malaysia that just disappeared.
I found that fascinating.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking.
The bullshit has been removed from your life.
Feel free to remove your restraints and roam about the planet and enjoy yourself.
This is Bring Forth.
Enjoy.
So this will be the name of my next book.
As I said, it's already in progress, having a really, really good time writing about this concept of their being.
a world within our world. And I know you know that. You just might be a little afraid to talk about it.
So when I went to experience plant medicine in the jungle of Peru, which was really nuts for me,
whenever I think about it, the craziest part about it wasn't the idea of doing it. It was like going to
the Amazon jungle by myself, you know, getting in this little canoe and going two hours down
the Amazon jungle seeing 25-foot anacondas and pink dolphins. Did you know that? Sloths and all that kind of
stuff. And the boat was being, you know, navigated by a guy named Hawk, right? So I'm like,
fuck it. I'm going. But anyway, one of the things, you know, that I experienced there was this idea
of creating an intention before the event. So they always tell you before you, you sit with plant
medicine to create an attention, right? And what I would tell anybody that is going to go experience
that, if you feel the calling for it, that is a crucial thing. I actually saw people that went
there and said they didn't get anything out of it. They didn't have an intention. So my intention that I
created was to bring forth the truth. That's what I wanted to know. I wanted to know what else there was.
Bring forth the truth that's there and beyond, this is something that I knew and beyond what it was
that I could see with my programmed, you know, wet piece of meat and my skull. That was my intention.
What I say, invisible realm of possibilities and potential, you know, this idea of saying, you can do anything you
put your mind to it, right? There's actually a world that exists that you can go to where that
actually is true. It's omnipresent. You don't have to actually believe in yourself. It just is.
So I went there with that intention, that invisible realm of possibilities and potential that I was
previously incapable of seeing. So the intention, here's what's cool about intentions.
Feel free to have an intention today. The intention actually created this space of openness
where this other space of attraction took place.
So that's another thing is if you're looking to attract things into your life,
you need to create space for it.
So it has to do with focus and intention.
So that's how I did that.
But the plant medicine, so I had this intention, but I hadn't seen it yet.
It had not come forth to me yet.
So what the plant medicine did, it was like a conduit.
It was like a vehicle that took me from where I was into town,
and I think I was probably trying to get into town in a rocking chair before that,
because I never actually got there.
But the plant medicine acted as some sort of augmented reality set of glasses.
And I don't know if you know what augmented reality is,
but it's not virtual reality.
It's when you put on some glasses,
which is just like my makes sense glasses that don't even have lenses
because I don't need them anymore.
But augmented realities when you put on these glasses
and all of a sudden they expose things that you didn't know where there that are there.
Simple form of that is like this Pokemon game that kids play,
where they look at their phone and they see a Pokemon jumping in the room that others can't see it.
So that's what the plant medicine did is it gave me the power of this augmented reality to see other things.
So that was the concept of bringing something forth.
And I've got news for you.
There's ways of doing it without plant medicine, and that's what I'm learning now.
But to bring forth means to a.
attract or have something come into the now that was not visible in the then. That's the idea.
And I don't know how open you are to that, but I think that's a pretty cool way of looking at life,
because if this is it, I think this sucks. And I know we're supposed to be grateful, but,
I mean, I guess I'm grateful for what I have, but God, there's so much more and I'm open to it.
Another way of looking at it is to accomplish this, we must learn to surrender the preferences
of the conditioned mind. Are you ready to surrender the preferences of your condition mind?
I just like the way that sounds, right? To burn up any previously opposing states by remaining
non-reactive to anything that is appearing in the field of change. I'm going to invite you to
listen to that again at some other point. So to burn up any previously opposing states by remaining
non-reactive to anything that is appearing in the field of change. If you can grab that one today,
man, you're going to level up. So I love that idea. To remain non-reactive is the key to remaining
open and remaining open and non-reactive is the key to becoming unfuck with the bull. You know what that
means, that means that no matter what happens, you're non-reactive to it. That's another way of saying
unfuck-with-able. It requires the release from judgment and the practice of open curiosity with no
predetermined opinion. Try going through your life today with no preloaded predetermined opinion.
And it's not easy because your mother, father, teacher, preacher, and now society has loaded this
and locked it in your brain.
And you got to do a lot of work,
a lot of consistent, habitual, transformational work
to create new neuroplastic connections
so you can see things differently.
So you've got to practice it.
In my book, I talk about something called fraction,
which is the combination of practicing
and action-based stuff.
Fraction.
It can become a practitioner, a practitioner.
So it requires the release of judgment
and the practice of open curiosity
with no predetermined opinion.
To do so is to burn up free energy from conditioned self.
There's nothing better that you could do than burn up your conditioned self.
Because it's like the shock caller in a prison.
And it's just running your life without your permission, without your knowledge.
This is what it means to reclaim control as the dominant force,
the director of your own major motion picture.
And a lot of people would say it's foolish and it's naive.
And I agree.
But who's to say that you're not foolish?
and naive. So choose, choose your foolish and naive. I choose to be foolishly optimistic about the world.
So this truth is found, actually, I went a little bit into the gospel here. I'm a Buddhist,
but I'm open to any religion. This truth is found in the gospel of Thomas. I don't know if any of you
are digging on the gospel of Thomas, which says, if you bring forth what is within you, already within you,
what you will bring forth will save you. However, if you do not bring forth what is in you,
what is already in you that you've got locked up as a prisoner. You're like a warden in protecting
this, you know, or just not letting this thing that's already in you out. If you don't let this out,
if you don't bring forth what is already in you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.
So check yourself before you wreck yourself, right? So your mind is like a,
pond. Here's my reflection for the day and then we're done. Your mind is like a pond. Your thoughts
are like waves and ripples in that pond. Get that visual for a second. How do we make the pond become
still? This is what it means to do all this work. How do we make the pond become still? You first
recognize that you can't intentionally smooth it out as the very act of intentionally trying to
smooth out the pond will create more ripples. Isn't that shitty, right? But I got an answer. So the pond
only comes to stillness when you've let go of all the effort to smooth it out, all striving and
all movement attached to trying to still and quiet your mind. So recognize that you are beyond your
thoughts. Your brain thinks, your heart beats. You don't have control of it.
It has no say in who you are today. So you are beyond your thoughts and movement of your mind pool.
There's another rise up one day. Mind pool by dragon. So you are not the ripples. You are the pond
observing the ripples. Like the uncontrollable thoughts, feelings, and emotions we perceive in our brain
and our body, we are not them. We are the observer of them. And that's where you claim control.
You're just observing.
You're not buying today.
You're just window shopping.
You're not buying today.
You're just the observer of them, like the pond that observes the ripples.
Learning to observe without the need to respond or purchase is to bring forth a new level of
consciousness that can remain calm and forward moving in the muddiest of waters.
Makes sense?
I sure hope so.
