Starting point is 00:00:02 Hmm, make sense. Great morning world. Welcome to season four in the final season of what you've come to know as the Rise Up with Dragon Show. All right, folks, ready, set, grow. This is The Daymaker. A quick thought. I heard this this morning while I was writing my Peloton, and I think that this is a lyric from a song by,
Starting point is 00:00:29 I think it's called, from by a guy named G. Cole or something like that. But anyway, it says, There's no such thing as a life that's better than yours. Yet, don't we feel like there's other people that have it better than us sometimes? So the message is this. Being in a comparative reality of others, what it does is it takes us out of the running for self-love and gratitude in our existence and our potential. It takes us out of the ability and in the running to recognize how wonderful we have it
Starting point is 00:00:58 and how much potential we have when we're in a comparative reality. There's nobody out there that can do you. better than you. So do you today and do you well. So this is the daymaker. Want to know the secret to having a great day? Be someone else's daymaker. What that means is go out and make somebody else's day. And there's so many different ways to do that. There's a saying in many support groups, if you want to keep something, you must first give it away. This means that what we desire becomes ours only when we provide it to others. And when we get what we desire, by giving it away thereafter, it actually gets solidified and becomes ours. This unveils a potential challenge as we look at the idea of giving and receiving,
Starting point is 00:01:47 which is a law of the universe. If we decide to be someone else's daymaker today and embrace how it will perhaps enhance our lives, we may forget about the main ingredient in the recipe. This is one our biggest challenges is we forget about things. So what I'm saying is, is if you go out to make somebody's day and it's focused on what you'll get out of it only, you might miss the magic and this recipe, that would be the altruistic, the true altruistic desire to bless another person and the joy associated with giving somebody else what they want. It's healthy to understand the law of giving a receiving, and it's okay to admit that to a very large degree, when we do for others, it makes us feel good about ourselves and it unveils self-worth.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Yet attaching to the feeling of joy when we are responsible or play a role in helping make somebody else's day better, that's the best part. So there's two parts of it. It's okay to recognize what we get out of it. And in my opinion, doing good for others and feeling good about yourself and getting from that, that's a great recipe. If you really want to embrace them, magic and being somebody else's daymaker, also get attached to the best part, and that is the idea of making somebody else's day. Now, what do you love about that? It's that self-worth, validates your existence as a useful creature on this planet. Remember, the greatest gift that we will ever receive in life is self-worth and that feeling of being useful in helping
Starting point is 00:03:27 others get what they want. You want more views, likes, and comments on social. social media from people? Well, they do too. So give them what they want and make their day as well. It goes around, yin and yang. Set a goal to make someone's day today and then do them the favor thereafter by teaching and challenging them to pay it forward. Why? So that your gift of a great day can become theirs as well. Hmm. I wonder what would happen if this message and this episode went viral and Everyone followed through. I wonder what would happen if you listening and you know who you are. I'm talking to you.
Starting point is 00:04:07 I wonder what would happen if even just you joined me in being somebody's daymaker today. What a wonderful world this would be. Make sense? Makes sense.
