Starting point is 00:00:10 Great morning world. Welcome to the Rise Up with Dragon podcast with your host, Dragon. Great morning world. All right folks, ready, set, row. This is the end of struggle, if you're into that sort of thing. What I love to do before my rise-ups, and as I was like to go over what I call my Dragon thoughts, and those are the things that I do to warm myself,
Starting point is 00:00:45 up. So here they are today. The mind makes a good servant, but a poor master. It's the whole concept of this show, folks, is to take control of what's going on in that wet piece of meat in your cranial vault, but not let it take control of you. The mind makes a great servant, but a poor master. So it's interesting to observe the word live, which is what I'm doing right now. I'm doing this live. And I always like to say, why the hell am I doing this live? Not many people do their podcast live. Stupid idea, because you could fuck it up. But I realize that you guys like the idea that I could fuck it up and something could go wrong or you could get some sort of form of authenticity. But if you look at the word live, you'll see that it also can be pronounced
Starting point is 00:01:34 live. And I noticed that in my warm up today. And I was like, just thinking, let's go live today and live. Rather than continue to react to the riptides, that's the way I look at it, riptides of an outer world that you've been programmed to believe has dominion over you. I've just decided to stop trying not to die, right? Are you living or are you trying not to die and prolong your life? Are you really seizing the day and living? Understanding that it might be your last day. So I've stopped trying not to die a long time ago. That was one of the reasons I started this show. and focused on going live with my living. I love that.
Starting point is 00:02:15 When I thought of that, I said, oh, that's why you're doing this show, Dragon, fantastic. So my question is this, who determined what intelligent life is? You know, we talk a lot about this idea that we might be the only forms of intelligent life in the universe, which is silly to say. But think about it.
Starting point is 00:02:35 Who determined what intelligent life is? We did. So just think for a second. this is a good way to let yourself off the hook. What if we were to find out one day that we are not, in fact, intelligent compared to other forms of life? So there's my warm up. This is the end of struggle. We'll begin with a question. What is your current reality, my friends? Are you struggling? What is your relationship with struggle? And how do you define struggle? Think about that for one second. We just take a little pause. How do you define struggle and are you struggling? You could be ignoring.
Starting point is 00:03:10 the struggle. You could be fully aware of it. You could be telling everybody that you're struggling. What does it even mean to struggle? I love taking these words and do it. It's pretty cool to evaluate this descriptive word. That's what we use those words for to let people know what's up, that we use to explain to others the fact that life is actually happening to us. What does it mean when you say, I'm struggling? You're saying life is happening to me and the whole idea of advancing towards my dreams have become increasingly difficult due to circumstances. So that's what we call a victim of circumstances. So when you make a statement that I'm struggling, think about it in one way, shape, or form. That's what you're saying. So why do we need to let people know that we're struggling?
Starting point is 00:03:54 Isn't that interesting? If I'm struggling, I just feel compelled to let people know. So I like to think about that. Why would I go ahead and let somebody know that I'm struggling? Why do we feel compelled to acknowledge in the mirror that we're struggling to ourselves. Why do we tell, hey, you're struggling, man. Well, we're going to go over that. So people say, hey, how are you, dragon? And I go, hey, man, thanks for asking. I'm really struggling lately. So for some reason, we use this word to justify and also validate our lack of productivity and our lack of winning and advancing in life. Would you be more successful for you strugglers out there? Let's take a quick break to hear from our sponsor. The Make Sense podcast is sponsored by the Make Sense Academy, co-created by both

So for you strugglers out there, would you be more successful in life and win more if you weren't struggling? So here's an example. I'm going to just get transparent here with myself. So as an example, last night, the actual last night, which is afternoon here because I'm coming to you from South Africa. But last night, I found myself. Now, when I find myself, it's just me taking hold of some thoughts
Starting point is 00:05:51 and emotions and feelings and buying into them. So I found myself, which doesn't mean that I took an ownership of it yet. I found myself buying into this idea that I was struggling. and it was the fact that I wasn't sleeping yet. I was struggling with my sleep. So I was like, oh, you're struggling, man. Struggling with sleep. So I found my mind racing around. And for the most part, in observation of the mind racing and the thought thunderstorm,
Starting point is 00:06:17 I found my, the mind racing was about me trying to basically control things that were out of my control. Next time you're struggling or feeling thoughts of anxiety and things like that, just recognize that that some way, shape, or form you're trying to control the uncontrollables. So I managed to use the following techniques that I'm going to give you as we come to a close to basically release myself from this idea, because it's a choice, release myself from this idea that I was struggling, and then go back to sleep. And if you can learn how to do this man, you know, if you can learn how to just not let things,
Starting point is 00:06:50 they're going to slow you down sometimes. But if you can learn how to push through them, you're just going to have so much fun. So the end of struggle, this is what we're talking about, happens when one realizes one, you or me, that struggle is illusory, meaning it's a forgasey. It's just this idea and this excuse that comes up. And it's typically to get you out of trouble. So chew on that for a second. It's illusory. If you weren't paying attention to your struggle, this is what I was thinking. I was like, if I wasn't paying attention to this idea that I was struggling, because maybe I was too busy, like focusing on the fact that I was just time to sleep, or maybe I was focused on my dreams,
Starting point is 00:07:30 or in this case sleeping, right? Would you still be struggling if you weren't focusing on it? Can you do something without focusing on it? So you realize in that moment, you go, I'm just focusing on this bullshit. Would you still be struggling? So if you reread any of the personal growth books that you've ever read because you forget about those in times of trouble,
Starting point is 00:07:49 why do we read all this stuff? What is this podcast really supposed to do for you? Well, if you can recall this lesson you're learning today when you're in the shit or navigating the poop, because remember the universe is mysterious. placed everything that you desire on the other side of poop. So if you can recall this conversation when the poop comes up, well, that's what it's for. It's a tool in your belt. It's a hammer, right? Or a saw to cut through the poop. That's kind of gross, right? So if you can kind of go
Starting point is 00:08:14 back to those personal growth books that you've read about success, about where growth and success takes place outside the comfort zone, right? Would you recognize that your perceived struggle was maybe just a sign, a part or a sign that you're getting closer to success? Isn't that interesting, too? When you're going through some shit and you're feeling like adversity and struggle, if you remember anything you've learned about self-discovery and personal growth, you might recognize, hey, this is a good thing. This means that I'm getting close and the universe is seeing if I deserve it.
Starting point is 00:08:44 See, the positive or negative side of struggle requires, this is what it requires of you, in order for you to claim that you're struggling and validate that you're struggling, it requires a judgment or a label to exist without a judgment or label of these, thoughts, it's actually not struggle. It's just you seeing, oh, yeah, that's what my brain does. It's just flickering all of these thoughts that mean nothing. So it's just the necessary resistance that comes with the deal when you're a human being with 70,000 thoughts in your brain and day, the 70,000 thought producing per day brain and however many years you're alive, programmed mind, right? Don't forget about the programmed mind, right? This is not your mind. Your mind's been
Starting point is 00:09:28 programmed by others, contending for your dreams. That's what you're doing all day. So the concept of struggle is that you're looking at this contention for your dreams and you're buying in and labeling and validating some of these thoughts and you're saying, I'm struggling. So the next time, here's something that you can use. So the next time that you perceive that you're struggling, have a little fun with it. That's what I'm going to invite you to do. I know that that sounds like, how can I have fun struggling? Well, I'll tell you, have a little fun with your struggle next time. it as an opportunity, just like when we fall down and we screw up, it's an opportunity to learn, like, what just happened, how can I do it better next time? It's an opportunity. Ask yourself
Starting point is 00:10:08 if you're really struggling in that moment or just recognize that you're judging and labeling your thoughts and feelings, buying into them as reality. Then see the whole process as a sign necessary or a symptom that comes along, it's an ingredient in your success pie that comes along with being human and being a human that's contending for their dreams and embrace how the perception of struggle is just a sign that, you know what, you're right on track. That's why I like to say, you're doing great. As long as you never quit, you're right on track, you're doing fantastic and it's going to come. I don't know when, but I know it will. People always ask me, can I succeed? And I go, I don't know if you will, but I know that you can. That's the space that
Starting point is 00:10:54 this stuff lives in here. Then, like a child, this is the analogy I feel when I'm struggling, then like a child feels when they first set their eyes on how many presents are not just under the tree, but how many presents have their name on them under that tree? Smile. Just smile. Practice it next time. Just the physicality of smiling can change everything in your day. The universe actually loves you and has so many, just an abundance, an immeasurable abundance. The big guy in the sky, for those of you that look at it that way, I just look at the sky, not the big guy, but the big guy in the sky has an endless supply of blessings waiting for you if you simply push through these opportunities to prove yourself worthy of success.
Starting point is 00:11:40 Make sense? Makes sense.
