Starting point is 00:00:02 Makes sense. All right, folks. Ready, set, grow. This is the value of immortality. Here's a few dragon thoughts to warm things up. Mindlessness. There's a big, big field and interest in the idea of becoming mindful. Mindfulness.
Starting point is 00:00:32 And this is about increasing our awareness and our consciousness. And I love that stuff. But there's also a very big fascination and effort towards becoming mindless. That's kind of where you look at things like meditation and bypassing our analytical mind and just coming to the present moment and just erasing our etchish sketch. It's interesting to observe our great desire to turn off our minds and take control of our thoughts. Makes sense as they can get us in trouble. But why don't we make the same effort to stop our heart from beating or stop our lungs from breathing? They're just doing their job, right?
Starting point is 00:01:11 isn't it beating out of control as well that heart of yours? Isn't that interesting to just look at your heart, put your hand on your heart and just say, I'm not controlling that. So why wouldn't I try to stop that? So can you see that you have a tendency to identify yourself with things that you are not? You are not the beat in your heart and you are not the thoughts in your mind. Those are just side effects of those organs doing their thing. And I want to say that the value of this whole idea, these rise-ups, is to just become aware of all of these kinds of things that are going on and identify that which we control in the manifestation of our reality versus the things that we don't. We control the narrative once we decide to. The value of immortality.
Starting point is 00:02:05 What makes humans, you and I, so unique is that we know we're going to. die. I remember a story of a fan walking down the street and sees Gary Vaynerchek, who I'm a big fan of because he says it like it is. And she says, oh my God, Gary. And she runs up and Gary rolls the window down because that's the way he rolls. And she says, Gary, in three words with her phone out, what's the secret to success? And without even thinking, Gary looks at her and says, you're going to die. So it's unavoidable. And it's unique to our species. Does a dog know? that inevitably they're going to die. I don't think so, but we do. Although scary and unpredictable, it does represent the very reason that you and I do anything. It's the gift of immortality.
Starting point is 00:02:55 Think about it. If you could choose to live forever, would you? Think it through. We already have plans for it and you're all part of the first step already. Things like life extension, medicine, health care, self-care, anti-aging, you name it, it's very much here and it's happening. We're extending our lives all the time and getting better at it, not to mention the advancements in things like artificial intelligence, stem cells, mind uploading, and nanotechnology. Do you know that the technology is already here to load your consciousness and your mind and your acknowledgement of self to some sort of a blockchain or mainframe and then reload it to your future body, maybe even as a robot, where you'll just all of a sudden wake up as yourself again in a
Starting point is 00:03:48 different body. That stuff is happening. You and I might not be able to see it, but radical life extension is coming. To put things into perspective and let you see the value in your current immortality, which is the purpose of this rise up, here's a few things to convey. consider. If you knew that you'd never die, ever, ever, ever, would you stay with the same partner? Isn't that an interesting thing to think about? Would you want more kids? Where would we put everything? In fact, if you knew that you'd live forever, what would prompt you to even get out of bed or do anything? Think about that. Because you know that you're going to die and the unpredictable clock is ticking. It's actually one of the reasons that you are so special and you
Starting point is 00:04:37 work towards things. The real scary thing is not dying. The real scary thing to consider is our ability to be ignorant to this. And our ignorance to this shows up in what's called procrastination. Procrastination is a side effect of ignorance and unconsciousness to our immortality. The assumption that we have time to spare. Procrastination is a death sentence when it comes to leveraging our outcomes in life. Remember, everyone, you and I, everyone is going to die, but only a few will live. So what do you choose to do this day with this blessing of another 24 hours of a breath in your lungs and a heartbeat? Live or die? Make sense? Makes sense. You know,
Starting point is 00:05:36 Thank you.
