Episode Date: February 16, 2023

In this Podcast Episode, Mark Bell, Nsima Inyang, and Andrew Zaragoza talk about a recent podcast where Shannon Sharpe, who is a high value man with MANY options, explains that he'd much rather have a... wife who has something to bring to the table, even if that means kids of her own, than to explore those options.  New Power Project Website: https://powerproject.live Join The Power Project Discord: https://discord.gg/yYzthQX5qN Subscribe to the new Power Project Clips Channel: https://youtube.com/channel/UC5Df31rlDXm0EJAcKsq1SUw Special perks for our listeners below! ➢https://hostagetape.com/powerproject Free shipping and free bedside tin! ➢https://thecoldplunge.com/ Code POWERPROJECT to save $150!! ➢Enlarging Pumps (This really works): https://bit.ly/powerproject1 Pumps explained: https://youtu.be/qPG9JXjlhpM ➢https://www.vivobarefoot.com/us/powerproject to save 15% off Vivo Barefoot shoes! ➢https://markbellslingshot.com/ Code POWERPROJECT10 for 10% off site wide including Within You supplements! ➢https://mindbullet.com/ Code POWERPROJECT for 20% off! ➢https://bubsnaturals.com Use code POWERPROJECT for 20% of your next order! ➢https://vuoriclothing.com/powerproject to automatically save 20% off your first order at Vuori! ➢https://www.eightsleep.com/powerproject to automatically save $150 off the Pod Pro at 8 Sleep! ➢https://marekhealth.com Use code POWERPROJECT10 for 10% off ALL LABS at Marek Health! Starting point is 00:00:00 Coffee, coffee, coffee. What kind of coffee do you have? Yeah, what you sipping on over there? Some Kona coffee. A little bit of creamer. I'm trying to lose weight, guys. What are you on at? Doug.
Starting point is 00:00:12 So you finally took that sponsorship from Weight Watchers. Doug. No, man. I felt 257 on my body was not comfortable. I was slower in jujitsu. I was just like, oh, God. Did your lady say anything about it? She's like, yeah, we got to talk.
Starting point is 00:00:28 Nah, she didn't say anything, but she was noticing my displeasure. Yeah, so I'm back to 251. Maybe she'd like you fluffier. Who knows? No, I don't feel good. Literally, I have this ankle thing. I'm pretty sure this ankle injury. You're like, don't touch me.
Starting point is 00:00:43 I'm bloated. I'm pretty sure this ankle injury. You're like, don't touch me. I'm bloated. I'm pretty sure this ankle injury. I feel gross. Dude, I'm pretty sure this ankle injury was partially because of me holding extra weight. I'm carrying around extra weight. I was. It's all that edema. We're getting back to 245, guys.
Starting point is 00:00:57 We're getting back to 245. I'm trying to lose weight, guys. I just gain weight every day no I'm back to 250 1.8 this morning okay I don't see 257 anymore we're in
Starting point is 00:01:11 good shape we're getting there Joel Green warned us about all this you're not gonna see it yeah he wanted you to be 300
Starting point is 00:01:19 pounds hey but we got another one Mark I heard we do some good news right Shannon Sharp's
Starting point is 00:01:24 part of the tribe baby that's amazing there's this video where he's We got another one, Mark. I heard. We do. Some good news, right? Shannon Sharp's part of the tribe, baby. That's amazing. There's this video where he's talking to Michael Blackson. I don't know if you guys know that. I do, yeah. Michael Blackson. But he got a DNA test and he's 90% Nigerian.
Starting point is 00:01:38 Damn. Now, which tribe? We don't know. But, you know, he's part of the tribe now. The Sharp brothers are an anomaly. Unbelievable. Both of them unbelievable. It's amazing to see, you know, you had the Super Bowl this weekend.
Starting point is 00:01:52 You had the Kelsey brothers in the Super Bowl. But years ago, there was Shannon Sharp and Sterling Sharp. Sterling Sharp, I don't think he ended up in the Hall of Fame because I don't think he played quite long enough. But he was a Hall of Fame wide receiver, too, along with his brother Shannon Sharp, who's one of the greatest of all time tight ends which is a really cool name too sterling sharp yeah like dude you know that guy was gonna be a badass yeah i think he had a pretty bad like neck injury that ended his career but both of them extremely muscular and sterling sharp uh was a wide receiver and he was like freaking totally
Starting point is 00:02:26 jacked it was like a jacked version of jerry rice you should just call him sterling chukwu from now on his last name is now chukwu shannon just go by shannon chukwu that's it but um nah man yeah that's it's it's pretty crazy the funny thing is like shannon sharp he's for all these years he's continued to say i'm i'm not haven't taken anything never taken anything i think now since he has that nigerian card it'll give him a bit more cred give him a bit it'll make him more believable people are like all right all right he's african maybe he is natty ain't that stupid though like that's interesting yeah because of like you know if you're a simone something, people will give it to you.
Starting point is 00:03:05 If you're, if you're someone like that comes from, I don't know where Hapthor is from. Where's he from? Iceland, Iceland. They produce some big fuckers, but if you know,
Starting point is 00:03:11 if you're big and you're Icelandic, people will give you the benefit of the doubt. And if you're six 11 and you're not from Iceland, then they think you're on growth hormone and whatever else you can get your hands on. Oh man. What do we got? We got a clip from uh shannon sharp talking about uh being married as well right yeah this this is a really cool clip getting married yeah
Starting point is 00:03:31 this this was really dope i we saw part of it but i think um this is really interesting because shannon and ocho cinco are both wealthy dudes right they're what people would call high value men and um i think they have a different viewpoint on the idea of relationship and marriage than a lot of the red pill boys do. So I think it's going to be interesting to listen to. Is Chad – is he married? I don't know. Let's do a quick Google search. I doubt it.
Starting point is 00:03:58 But who knows? I don't know. It's going to be tough for people that are famous and if they didn't meet somebody when they're young. I think – I don't know. I think there's some part of us that's designed to like meet people when we're not too old, I guess. And you can kind of age out of the bracket and then it's – and then I just think it's more complicated. Not that you can't meet somebody, but I think it's more complicated. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:04:26 I mean when having kids was just part of life, people were getting pregnant at 15, 16, and now it's perfectly normal. Men like 18, 17, 16-year-old boys were impregnating 14, 15-year-old girls. I'm not saying it's right, but I'm saying like when that's all people were thinking about, people were that shit early but now the especially in the u.s it's gotten later and later and later so when you get to grow with somebody too if you if you're both in your 20s or both in your 30s you meet each other you're probably um still working on your careers and then you work on your careers together and it's like understood like Like when we met, I was a police officer. And when we met, you know, I was going to be a, I want to be a psychiatrist or whatever, you know?
Starting point is 00:05:11 And you grow together and you are like, okay, well, you're in school. Okay, well, you're in training. And you learn these things about each other. But as you get older and you maybe already have a career, maybe even already have a kid or two with you, that kind of brings a wholeher complexity to the whole issue. So it just gets to be, I think gets to be more and more complicated as you get to be older on how to find a, I guess like a mate to finish out the rest of your life with.
Starting point is 00:05:38 Exactly. Especially if that's something that you're looking for, that's something that you want. Cause a lot of people say that that's not what they want too. But let's, let's play this play this this is interesting check it out you you married no no okay i'm looking to get about hey i'm about to be 55 i'm about to be double nickel double nickel 55 so what you think about it though i want to get wait let's pretend these cameras ain't here yeah it's me and you bob shuck i've's pretend these cameras ain't here. Yeah. It's me and you, Bob Shook. I've been talking like they ain't here anyway. Your views on marriage.
Starting point is 00:06:11 What do you think? I would have loved to have gotten married earlier in my career, but my career was the most important thing. So I was no good. I was a terrible father. I probably was a terrible brother, a terrible son. I definitely was a terrible boyfriend because football was the most important thing. I was consumed.
Starting point is 00:06:29 This sweater he's wearing is astonishing, by the way. Which one? Well, both of theirs. But you're talking specifically about Shannon Rocha. Yeah. Shannon Sharp. Yeah. Amazing.
Starting point is 00:06:36 Look at that thing. It is. I definitely was a terrible boyfriend because football was the most important thing. I was consumed with that. And I was consumed with that because I wanted to get my grandmother and my family out of the conditions that I grew up in. And I said if I had kids, I didn't want them to spend one hour, let alone a year like I spent. So I focused on that.
Starting point is 00:06:55 That was the only thing that mattered. And I had a lot of women say they could be okay with being with number two to football. But when it came right down to it and they see how devout I was in it, they couldn't be. And I said, okay. But now I started to realize as I've gotten older in my life, everything that I've
Starting point is 00:07:11 accumulated doesn't mean anything if I don't have anybody to share it with. And it took me spending time alone to realize that yes, Shannon, you're great at what you do, you're in the Hall of Fame, you accomplished a lot, but at the end of the day, who do you share it with? Pause.
Starting point is 00:07:32 This is an interesting thing he's saying here because there are certain guys on the Red Bull side of the internet. And the message that they have to women is if you don't focus on trying to get with a certain type of man, you're going to end up old and alone. Right? That's the big thing. You're going to end up old and alone with your cats and your dogs and no man with you by your side. But I don't think guys ever think about that on their side where it's like, no, it's not that you need to concentrate on women. You should be concentrating on becoming high value or whatever that looks like for you, your career, your personal development. But there's also a side where if you don't find somebody also, you might also end up older and alone.
Starting point is 00:08:12 I mean, their rebuttal to that would be like, well, as I become older and make more money, I could still get a young, attractive woman. But there's some things to that that I think. But what do you think about that? Yeah, I think Shannon Sharp is in a tough spot because he is Shannon Sharp he's you know somebody that
Starting point is 00:08:30 a lot of people know of he's very famous he's very wealthy and even if somebody was to not know who he was let's say he met someone from another country or something or he met someone who just is unaware of his football career which is possible.
Starting point is 00:08:46 Not everybody loves football. I didn't even know the Super Bowl was on Sunday until I got a – I literally didn't know. And then I saw like – yeah, so I'm unaware, dude. That's amazing. But yeah, some people, they're just not huge fans of it. But even if he was to meet someone that wasn't aware of his career, they're obviously going to be aware of the wealth and stuff that he has. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:09:09 Like is that okay? Like is that okay for him to – because of who he is and because of the way he looks and because of his build and because of some of these like external things that aren't necessarily things that are like within and they're not necessarily things that are um that you're like learning about someone there's things that you can physically see you can physically see he's got a nice car he's got a nice watch he's got a nice body he he looks great doesn't look like he's 55 all these things he's got going for him he's tall um so he could probably get himself a woman that's you know 30 years old it probably looks amazing yeah um or 25 so from his side like he's he he would maybe potentially be filling in a gap of having someone by his side that's beautiful that he gets along with but maybe maybe neither one of them is in it because they really like love,
Starting point is 00:10:05 love each other. And I think that that's, those are the possibilities that when you're older of relationships that people end up in. And I think it's very common amongst people that are widowed. You know, somebody dies, unfortunately, um, people have divorced sometimes their first marriage. They'll even say, they'll even still be married to somebody. marriage they'll even say they'll even still be married to somebody and they'll say my first marriage was my my like true love but it didn't it just didn't work out and you're like that sounds crazy because now you're with somebody else that you love why are you using the simpish l word love what is this i'm just saying like people really underestimate the importance of love and it's yeah i appreciate that you're talking about that and mentioning how important that may be because when i see younger guys talk
Starting point is 00:10:49 about the idea of love and relationships on the internet it's always like fuck what the fuck is this love shit has to do with anything it's like i wonder if some people haven't necessarily met somebody that they actually love that much. And it's just something that doesn't seem to matter that much to them. I guess part of what I'm trying to share is that he may, Shannon Sharp or people like him that end up in similar situations meeting people when they're older, they may have to settle for someone that they love. And maybe they are not both mutually totally in love with each other the way that you might be when you meet someone when you're 25. There is apparently more than 40,000 of you that are listening to each episode of this podcast. But we only have, I think, 1,200 reviews on Spotify and iTunes.
Starting point is 00:11:36 So if this podcast has brought benefit to your life, please go on Spotify and iTunes and give us a five-star review. It would really help the podcast grow. And we'll continue to bring you this awesome free content on a daily basis. Enjoy the episode. That's what I was going to ask you and see if I'm in the Red Pill community. Do they ever talk about love? Because I know they talk about loyalty, right? Like you want
Starting point is 00:11:56 your, I guess, main chick to be your I wanted to respect you. This is one big. So they never talk about like I don't even know how to define true love, but they never reference what that would be like with as much stuff that i've listened to from the red pill side of things it's not like the biggest factor for example when looking at shannon a lot of people want to become that high value man that has as many options as possible and in this situation shannon is like the epitome of high value. Any woman would probably want to be with him.
Starting point is 00:12:26 He's handsome. He's well-spoken. He's nice. He's also wealthy. So he's in that place that people would aspire to be in. But there is a complicated issue that you mentioned, Mark. Like how do you know that the person that wants to be with you is there because of you and not there because of just everything else? You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:12:45 there because of you and not there because of just everything else. You know what I mean? And, and yeah, the, the love aspect of things is just something that just tends to be undermined. Uh, in many of these situations, when the women who are talking to some of these red bill dudes bring up love, it's a non-factor. It's something that's really not a big deal because like, again, with, we just did, we just put out a video where we were talking to Mark Lobliner about this, reacting to a little bit of Andrew Tate information. But some of the goals of these guys is to get to a point where, yeah, let's say you do have a woman that you're with and she is loyal and respects you and loves you. such a high value man you should be able to go out and just have sex with women that you don't really care about because it's just a physical act and come back to that person that you love right so it's they don't really care about that really love is seems to be a non-factor for all you guys who like let's say you love red pill content comment down below and let us know what
Starting point is 00:13:44 you think about the idea of love are we simps or do you do you do you agree with any sense of that i think it's really complicated man for someone like shannon sharp being 55 like is he gonna meet a 55 year old woman like that's probably gonna maybe you know but is there like a count is there a counterpart to him and how like incredible he is uh via like his the way he takes care of his body and stuff would he would there be someone that would be 55 that he'd be interested in enough maybe he would maybe he maybe he could kind of figure that out but i don't think so due to like – I don't know him at all. But due to the fact that like it's a status thing, right? Like he's not going to drive around in just like a regular Ford F-150 truck, right?
Starting point is 00:14:38 Like he's not. Is he going to be with the 55-year-old woman that lives next door? I don't think he could. Again, maybe there would be a great connection with somebody like that, but he's going to bring that girl and show Chad Ochocinco. I found the love of my life. And no matter what the person looked like, I'm sure Chad Ochocinco would be pumped. But I think everybody would be like, that's an interesting choice.
Starting point is 00:15:07 That's a little different. If it wasn't somebody that they had in their mind of who he would be with, right? Yeah, the cards are stacked pretty high against him finding whatever love is, right? I think he has to find, and I'm just, he's going to be able to find
Starting point is 00:15:23 whatever he is looking for, I'm sure. He'll be able to find – and I'm just – he's going to be able to find whatever he is looking for, I'm sure. He'll be able to find it. But I think it's a mutual revolving door of I'm with you for this reason and I'm with you for this reason. And I don't think there's a huge problem with that because in the beginning, all you're attracted to anyway is just the looks of the person in the first place. That's how Andy spotted me. That's how Andy spotted me. That's how I spotted her. Then we got to know each other from that point on. I'm not saying it's impossible, but I do think it's harder and it's more complicated.
Starting point is 00:15:56 What if he does meet someone that he really likes and connects with, but he's like, ah, shit, she's got four kids. Or there could be a lot of things. like ah shit she's got four kids you know or there could be a lot of things but even if someone does have four kids at his age their four kids are going to be like probably out of college already yeah you know what's interesting too it's like um for example you mentioned the 55 55 even if it was like uh let's say for example an older an older man was dating a woman that was like let's just use the idea of 55 a 40 year old woman or even a 35 year old woman there's that person is still old enough to be i guess mentally like more mature because this is an interesting thing you know how leonardo dicaprio just like cycles through chicks and he
Starting point is 00:16:37 he'll just get himself usually pretty young right you knew 20 21 22 i think recently and i need you to fact check me because i don't want to be spitting this bullshit but i think recently andrew i need you to fact check me because i don't want to be spitting bullshit but i think recently he's been getting some shit because he just cycled to a new 19 year old chick fact check me please because i don't want to be spitting bullshit that was seinfeld situation here yeah 19 year old 19 year old so she's younger than the titanic like a movie so you know this is an interesting thing because there are some people who are like oh yeah leo let's go. And high value, man, you can date whatever you want. Right. Especially when you have that type of status.
Starting point is 00:17:15 But you got to wonder, I mean, again, not all people want to be with somebody that they can spend their lives with. That's not everybody's goal. Right. So that's obviously not his goal because he just be cycling through these young girls. But you got to think Shannon mentioned, you know, that he has all this wealth and no one to share it with that's a place of wisdom where he's he's there now and he realizes shit i got all this and there's no one to do anything with so when when you're younger i think you're you're looking at the possibility of being older and like yeah I can I can fuck some chick that's 1920 whatever when I'm 50 55 60 whatever but there's no level of mental relation when I was single and I had some fun with the like girls are like 2021 I was just like I'm not that old but like you're so young. Like it was literally shows conversation was just like, I was like, I couldn't imagine being even older,
Starting point is 00:18:12 like being in my mid thirties and talking to some 22 or 23. Like, this is not good. They know where I live now. No, seriously. It was, it was like,
Starting point is 00:18:21 it was literally annoying because it's like these women had some growing to do. And then I was just like, yeah, why would I want to be in my mid-30s dating someone who's 21, 22? Is it just because it's a young pussy? Is that literally it? Because that's what a lot of these guys talk about. It's just youth. But you got to realize unless you're just somebody who just wants this person for their body and their looks, unless you're just somebody who just wants this person for their body and their looks there's going to be a gap that y'all just won't be able to relate on almost anything now that
Starting point is 00:18:51 doesn't matter to you okay power project family shut your mouth we've been talking about breathing through your nose and nasal breathing during your sleep for the past five years that's why you've partnered with hostage tape it's the best tape on the market sticks to your face even if you have a beard so head to hostage tape.com slash power project, and you'll be able to get a year supply of tape for 55 cents a day. That shit saves you $150. It's a no brainer. Links in the description and the podcast show notes.
Starting point is 00:19:16 Enjoy the show. Y'all just won't be able to relate on almost anything. Now that doesn't matter to you. Okay. And I think all marriage too, or I shouldn't say all, I think most marriages are compromised. You know, you have to kind of recognize that your spouse or your, I mean, they're not the greatest things to think about, but they may have been with somebody
Starting point is 00:19:38 that maybe they were more attracted to for particular reasons. And I think, again, I think you're trying to find someone that like matches you in a really broad spectrum of things across the board. So that person that maybe your spouse or maybe yourself that you dated before that you really liked a lot, there was something there that there was some resistance there where it just didn't work out. There was something there, but there was probably – there might have been 15 things lined up really, really well, and there might have been four or five things not lined up so well. It just didn't work.
Starting point is 00:20:15 And so the person's looks, the person's height, the person's – their status in society, all these things, they're going to be like kind of up and down based on what you're able to, what you're able to kind of land, what you're able to kind of compromise with for the other person as well. So you, cause you have to be compatible. It's not like just two tens see each other and they're like, wow, like this is amazing. Oh, you're a 10, you're a 10. Yeah. Yeah. Right. And they're like, wow, this is amazing. Oh, you're a 10. You're a 10.
Starting point is 00:20:46 You're like, what? Yeah, right. It just makes sense. Yeah, right. And everything's perfect. They meet each other. They talk. They're like, this is the most amazing person I've ever seen. This is the most beautiful person I've ever seen.
Starting point is 00:20:58 Then they start to have conversation. They're like, oh, we don't have this in common. We don't have that in common. We don't have that in common. conversation they're like oh they don't have we don't have this in common we don't have that in common we don't have that in common so even even finding somebody to try to spend the rest of your life with is really fucking complicated and and not easy and it's not necessarily um it's probably not necessarily going to be something that you pictured in your head your whole life a lot of people will say that a lot of people will say i didn't even know that you were my type they'll say i mean men i think don't really have a type as much but
Starting point is 00:21:29 women a lot of times will say that to like i didn't even know this guy was gonna be my type and i was with him i was i'm joking i was with him forever or whatever just a crevice no okay just making sure you didn't say you're just a crevice because it was kind of low on the mic couldn't couldn't quite hear it. It was a joke. I did say that. I was joking, though. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:21:50 You joke that men will fuck anything if they're drunk enough. It's hard to really put some of this into words, but I think people know what I'm talking about. There's like a broad spectrum of things that you need to line up on. And maybe there's a couple things about your partner that are annoying or whatever it might be. But now that you're with them, if you have been with them for a long time, you couldn't imagine loving another person. You couldn't imagine somebody being more attractive and things like that. Yeah. Not at all.
Starting point is 00:22:21 Let's keep playing. But then this is the problem. How do you find the right person to share it with when it's still going to be what you have on the table? Right. Because this is you. Are they dealing with you for you or what you have to offer? And how do you figure that one out? That's the hard part.
Starting point is 00:22:40 It is. Even at this. I guess I'm going to have to find somebody that that has something and i i tell people look i want someone to bring something to the picnic besides your appetite i don't care if it's fork i don't care if it's napkins i don't care if it's the mashed potatoes with raisins on top but bring something something right and so we can work we can work from that right i don't care if you have kids i will take graciously accept the kids your family becomes my family yeah because like i would do for my family if you come to me and say hey my mom and dad having trouble all right let me put my red pill lenses on right now real quick
Starting point is 00:23:14 he's a simp because he's not because he's gonna take it like he's a guy who's gonna take care of a single mom's kids or whatever right red pill guys would be like oh why would you do that why would you take on like that's red pill would call him that i don't agree with that but i'm just saying this is what like younger red pill dudes would be would say looking at this type of situation see he's already thought about this a lot yeah and uh he's he's making what i would consider to be like compromises he's's like, it's not going to matter if they have kids because I'm fucking 55. The person I'm going to meet is probably going to be older and mature and they're probably going to have a couple of children and I need to be accepting of that. So I think he's in a really good headspace to meet somebody because of where he's at. Now, the interesting thing about what Chad said, how are you going to know they're going to actually like you for you rather than what you can offer yes it's always kind of that way of what
Starting point is 00:24:10 someone can offer i mean again uh thinking of a girl how many times have you seen a 60 something year old guy out he's got gray hair he's clearly like over you know over 50 maybe into his 60s, and he's with some bombshell girl. And you're like, wow, that's interesting. Again, there's a relationship there based off of he is into her for her looks and she is into him for his money. That does not mean that they have a shitty relationship. True. They could have a great relationship. They could actually be in love for all we know.
Starting point is 00:24:45 We don't have any idea. You're just imagining like, oh, that's weird. Like how could he be doing what he's supposed to be doing with this young lady? But it's all just speculative. We don't really know whether they have a good relationship or not. So I think he's in a good spot, and I think it sounds like he has thought about this a lot, exactly how he's going to traverse this. But what someone kind of brings to the table is always a factor, whether it's someone's potential. I mean just imagine with someone, it doesn't seem like they have much money, but the family has a lot of money.
Starting point is 00:25:25 Like that's a potentiator. Like that's a factor. Everything is like a factor. I think everything's a factor and I don't think that there's anything wrong with it necessarily. That's true. You could just follow yourself right into some family wealth and a house, right? That's fucked up though. No, it's not fucked up.
Starting point is 00:25:42 But this is kind of why like I, when I pay attention to this type of content, I'm only 30. So I ain't trying to give any type of relationship advice and shit because I'm going through stuff myself. That's why like I do look at what people talk about. And when I pay attention to some information, Shannon Sharp is fucking wise. He's at this high level. He's 55 years old. He's had experience, right? And he mentions that, hey, she has kids. That's fine. Whereas if you listen to these younger red pill dudes that are talking about like, you know, paying like banging young girls and, you know, trying to make all this money and all this type, you almost kind of see the lack of experience and the lack of maturity because they haven't really – they probably haven't had many real good relationships.
Starting point is 00:26:32 And they're speaking from – it's very adversarial, right? Adversarial on men versus women. So when you listen to him, a guy that has – because Shannon could date a 25-year-old chick. He could date a 20-year-old chick. There are tons of women who would be lining up to be with this dude. He could have three, four girls at the same time. He literally could. Like he has the ability to be able to do that because he's at that level of stardom.
Starting point is 00:26:54 But that's not what this dude is talking about. That's not what this guy that's at this level is like. That's kind of meaningless. And I think that's what a lot of people kind of end up realizing. Like hooking up with young girls at a certain point becomes the same boring shit. That's what I've realized. Like nothing's new about it other than it's just a different body. So pay attention to what he's saying here. attention to what he's saying here you're also gonna have to whoever is with him is going to have to be accepting of like what a what a fucking driven person this guy is you know he retired from football and just went straight right into like other careers and uh this like podcasting format and stuff that he has now this is all new um he's only been doing this for a little bit he has an alcohol product i forget forget. I forget.
Starting point is 00:27:45 It's like whiskey or I can't remember what it what it is exactly. But he's got his own. I mean, he's got his own this. He's got his own that. You know, he's a guy that is really loves his work. And that's why it was great when he mentioned, I want somebody that's going to have something for themselves. Yeah. Not necessarily like that they have a lot of money or anything like that, but that they bring something to the table. Maybe they had a career, maybe they have a career currently. And I think when two people meet each other, one of the healthiest things ever, I think, is that both people have their own separate shit of some kind, of some sort. I think sometimes when couples go all in together on stuff, it can really complicate things even more and can oftentimes be disaster. How so?
Starting point is 00:28:38 Where the two people are so consumed by – like Andy and I are in in business together but we have separate stuff that we like she swims i lift you know we have we have stuff outside like i don't see her most of the day and i think that's really healthy and even when we were younger we were both like working um we didn't have time to like smooch and cuddle and snuggle on each other like all day long. Like we got those days in here and there. But I think it's actually healthy to be a part. Not a part a lot. Not too much. But I think there's a, I think it's really important that I know this for men. I don't know about women, but I would imagine it to be true as well. You have to really be working on yourself a lot. And it's really important that you have your own stuff, your own friends. You know, if Andy has some sort of issue with me, maybe there's been issues with me that she's never even expressed to me, but she shared it with her sister or she shared it with her friend. That's, I think that's very normal. And maybe I've shared stuff with some of my good friends that I've never really shared with her because I didn't know how to, now you should try your best
Starting point is 00:29:50 to communicate with each other as much as possible, but there's a lot of things like that. So I think if Shannon Sharp was to find some 25 year old girl that didn't have a career or wasn't driven, then she would just be kind of probably latching on to what he does, kind of waiting for him to come home and worrying about where he is and what he's doing and stuff like that. And I'd imagine that he wouldn't be pumped about that. He wants someone that has their own thing going on, some of their own things going on, some of their own successes going on.
Starting point is 00:30:20 Bring something else to the picnic. Other than your appetite. Other than your appetite. Other than your appetite. Right, right. Okay, your mom and dad ain't got no trouble. Once you with me, your family ain't got no, your mom and dad ain't got no trouble. Your kids ain't got no, well, they're
Starting point is 00:30:35 our kids. They're your kids. They're our kids. That's the way I look at it. I like that. So we have the same mindset. Once that union, everything is is united it's one umbrella it's all problems okay i like that i like the part where you said at least bring something to the table because i think that's the argument something that we all have issues with as men and i think some men that have money men of men of men of, really don't care about times
Starting point is 00:31:06 when women have anything to offer because it allows them so much more control when they don't have anything because they have to rely on them. Yeah, I don't want that. Ego-driven. Yeah. Ego-driven.
Starting point is 00:31:15 Yeah. Oh, you don't need none, I got you. Right. And then they able to get away with murder because they got to rely on him. No, I want you to have your own independence. I don't ever want you to become dependent on me. I just want you to know that if something were to happen to me,
Starting point is 00:31:30 you're more than taken care of. Right, you're good. Family is taken care of. And so that's the thing, Chad, over the last— Dude, that's huge right there. Again, this is an exact difference of a lot of the discourse that you see on relationships in the ministry side of things because in that side of the internet, right, they always mention how like men don't care about women having careers. Men don't care about women having money.
Starting point is 00:31:58 That's not part of what makes you valuable as a woman. The thing that makes you valuable as a woman is your looks, right? That's how kind of they base it down. That's what they boil it down to. But what that allows is that if you're a guy and you get with a woman who, let's say she doesn't have anything as far as a career or whatever, and she's just there, she has your kids, you take care of her. Ocho just mentioned you can get away with murder. Murder is like another word with just like bullshit. You can get away with fucking other chicks. You can get away with doing all this because that person is now dependent on you.
Starting point is 00:32:30 And if they're not with you, they have nothing. A lot of women end up in those types of situations where they're with a guy who has money, whatever. So they have some kids. And now, honestly, their future is dependent on the choices that that man makes. He can fuck around or whatever. But if she can't do anything, she's stuck. Their future is dependent on the choices that that man makes. He can fuck around or whatever, but if she can't do anything, she's stuck. And that's what kind of some of these guys are looking for. They might not be put in it that way, but they do want somebody who is going to be dependent upon them.
Starting point is 00:33:02 And the guys on the guy side of things, they're like, yeah, we don't need women with careers. This boss babe thing. Yeah, find yourself old and alone. That's the things that they continue to say but hey things be changing i love what he's saying here because it's not like he's not saying like it's just someone that he randomly meets like this is somebody that he's supposing like that he falls in love with and that he marries right and then if then if that's the case, then no one's got to worry about shit. It also tells you like this guy has made a lot of money because to to care for yourself and to care for some of your own immediate family like that takes a lot of money. Yes. This day and age like that takes that already takes almost millions right off the
Starting point is 00:33:46 bat and then to be able to support uh an entire another family uh is is a lot but he's saying like if it's someone that he's gonna fall in love with it's someone that he's gonna marry then everyone's good everyone's taken care of and i like the fact that he's embracing he's embracing the fact that uh that he is successful like that's huge because what else is he going to do is he going to try to deny his success is he going to try to um he can prince hakeem it yeah like just go go to africa you know and and work in a fucking he can have the shitty hotel room or whatever. And then find your queen, bro. Go to my Julia. But everyone should just embrace what he has since he has a lot.
Starting point is 00:34:43 And you may as well just – again, what's wrong with somebody liking that part of you that you're that successful like that because you were able to negotiate our you were able to negotiate society in a different way than other people um and then also from his side of you it probably feels good to have people that want to enjoy uh the fruits of his labor like it feels good like it feels good for me with my family. Like I, it's awesome. It's awesome to have like a beach house that my friends and family can go to like that kind of shit. It's, it's incredible. It's incredible feeling. Um, so it, for him, I love the fact that he's, he's thought this through a lot and he's, he wants to find someone to share it with. Dude, I went to, um, I went to a comedy show this weekend uh kash singh was super funny
Starting point is 00:35:25 but he mentioned something i was like oh that that makes a lot of sense it was like it was it was talking about something else but you know when you go to cheesecake factory and you see how many choices you have it's not the nicest thing to have that many choices now you think of shannon sharp his dms must just be ridiculous like you have so many you're in his dms too right like men and women um but you have so many choices and it's it's an interesting thing because mark you when you met andy you didn't you had yours you were yourself and y'all fell in love with each other and now you guys built something amazing and that is beautiful but when you get to a point it's not like i don't know anybody's answers right but it does get harder when you are at a place where now you have more and it's very
Starting point is 00:36:17 visible that you have more and it's good because now like you have more options but there's a point where it's just like wow you have so many options. So it's almost like that's the point where some people get. It's just like, why do I need to pick just one? Right? So that's a question everybody needs to ask themselves with their goals in terms of relationships. Because, again, not everybody's goal is to be monogamous and have a family and kids. If that's your goal, that's cool. If that's not your goal, that's also okay because there's many ways to navigate this.
Starting point is 00:36:44 goal, that's cool. If that's not your goal, that's also okay because there's many ways to navigate this. But that is, that is a tough thing when you get to a point where like there are tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of choices, right? It's interesting. It's, it's, it's tough because like maybe there's some disconnect because if, if my wife all of a sudden, you know, Like maybe there's some disconnect because if my wife all of a sudden, you know, business deals go through or whatever it may be, business decisions I mean, and the work is put in and all of a sudden she's now a six-figure woman. Like we're good. We're fine. But I do understand where it's like the boss lady, you know, then she can't find her right, her counterpart because he doesn't make enough, so I'm not going to date down. And I understand that whole side of it because then that person is going to end up being old and alone with cats or whatever, right? I think that's what they say.
Starting point is 00:37:34 But like, again, like the disconnect is, it's like, well, I know I have like love with my wife, we're in love. And if she starts, you know, again, making hell of of money like we're fine you guys but that's looking at it as a team yeah exactly so that's where i'm like it's hard for me to i don't know i guess advise or you know kind of i guess uh preach like my mindset and how i'm you know how our relationship is because i that's our relationship, you know, like I found, you know, my perfect counterpart. I don't know if somebody that is, you know, really concerned about the money side of things or, you know, like the whole, uh, the high value man type of stuff, if that same, you know, advice would work for somebody in that realm. Yeah. I think, uh, you were talking about like
Starting point is 00:38:24 finding the right person, but it's also finding the right person at the right time you know that's like hyper critical as well like if i would have met my wife in high school like we wouldn't be together probably you know um if i would have met her probably at any other stage we probably wouldn't be if i would have met her if i would have been 30 when i met her it wouldn't have worked because she would have been like, it's this guy's deal at 30. He like doesn't have shit together. Like he doesn't seem like he's got, he doesn't even seem like he's like heading in the right direction. So you met her and you trapped her for 11 years and then. Yeah, exactly. But the timing of it is crucial. You know,
Starting point is 00:39:01 when you meet somebody, how you meet them, um, the circumstances are, are huge. I mean, picture, uh, you know, picture if, if you guys were divorced, you know, um, your wife's, uh, only choice might be to try to find someone that's doing okay finding, you know what I'm saying? Like, yeah, not her only choice. Cause she makes her own money and stuff, but you know what I mean? Like it just makes it more difficult. She's got to like,
Starting point is 00:39:31 she's got to do what's best for like the family in a way. Right. So you can get in some tough situations. Yeah. This is, this was really cool though. I'm, I really appreciate seeing two people at this level speaking about this stuff
Starting point is 00:39:44 rationally in this way. Because when you see a lot of this discourse, to be perfectly honest, it's like there's a lack of experience. And I'm also – I don't have experience. I have a certain amount but not the level that these guys, not the level that you have. And it's cool seeing individuals with wealth that have built themselves up to a certain point that are speaking about these things with some fucking wisdom and not just spouting, you know, kind of, kind of bullshit.
Starting point is 00:40:09 I wonder if this is a little similar to like having abs. Like if you had them already, you don't care about them as much. Maybe these guys, you know, just, I have no idea, but maybe they,
Starting point is 00:40:20 no, you know, I have no idea, but, but maybe they've been with some ladies in the past. And so they don't care that much about like they actually want to settle down with a particular person.
Starting point is 00:40:34 Maybe Chad Johnson's married already. I'm not sure, but they, uh, they, they already experienced that. They got that part out of their system and they're looking for something different. Maybe. I don't know. Experienced that. They got that part out of their system and they're looking for something different. Maybe. I don't know. I think that, dude, that's totally – when I was younger, I would – for example, I'm still horny. I'm still a horny guy. But that was something that like just having sex with different people is fun.
Starting point is 00:41:05 It was fun. Right. It was, it was, it was fun. But like at a certain point you realize that it's all the same shit. There is nothing, there's no grass is greener. There's nothing that's after you come. Claire Ritz. But the shit was clogged up before. But I think you have a, you have a really good point because when you – I think when you're younger, you think that it's like that's the goal and that there's so much there and life is going to be so good when you have this.
Starting point is 00:41:36 You have all these options or partners. But when you do that, you realize kind of how boring and meaningless it does become, right? There's nothing new. that you realize kind of how boring and meaningless it does become, right? There's nothing new. There's nothing new other than just another hot person or another whatever. There's nothing new. And for some people, at that disease for me personally, it becomes about who this person is, how their mind works.
Starting point is 00:42:01 Obviously, you've got to be attracted to them. But it's hard to have that all in a single person. And when you find that, you kind of want to keep that. Absolutely. Is there more to this video? I don't know. I don't think so. I think we're good.
