Hey, Justin, that's the power of love. Oh, yeah. Got it.
Starting point is 00:00:39 The back to the future right there, huh? Yeah. That's it. Can you feel it? Mm-hmm. Can you feel it? The power of love. That's the. The power. I don't know. I don't have it. Shut up when he's singing. I know. God, you ruined it. I don't have it. He doesn't like you. He Lewis. God. I want to get to my he stirs my loins. And then I hear you. I hear you say,
Starting point is 00:01:00 I'll hear Justin's. If I had a genie and I could pick like three wishes for sure, being able to dance and sing would be in there. I would. I would wish it. Like who's who's who's who's who's who's who's who. I don't know if there's one third one, but I want to share that. Like Usher, are you talking like Jackson?
Starting point is 00:01:15 I'm Jackson, you talking Justin Timberlake. How I sing? Yeah, who, no, who would you want to be? Oh, well, if you're gonna sing and dance. I would want to, I would want to be able to dance like Usher, and I'd want to be able to sing, I eat like a Toby Keith, country singer. Country, but dancing, that doesn't work.
Starting point is 00:01:33 I know it doesn't work, but I want the, he's got a great deep voice. That's great. And most country artists to me actually have, very wide, like a lot of, no, not very wide. Very wide, bro, very wide, he just opens his mouth and girls Sometimes you have the worst answers sometimes you have the best answers right is he's like a really older reference
Starting point is 00:01:50 I know he's like one extreme the other so that is the best answers in the world and sometimes just the worst answers I'm the fuck says Barry white right? Barry white has the lowest voice of all time. He's older than dirt and the low exactly Who would want the lowest voice of all time right now? You're just having a little voice. I no way didn't I said you said Toby Keith he's gonna I want it I wanted I wanted to be James Brown did if I could sing like that and you got you know you know you don't need that you know the energy and it's a hot top I've never seen that guy dance man he was on fire yeah back then he was on fire. Yeah, back to him. On fire. I don't you think that usher is probably at some of the sickest moves.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Sure. I mean, yeah, but it's very like Michael Jackson-esque, like Michael Jackson destroyed. Yeah, he's the one that started that. Well, yeah, okay, I mean, he is the original G, but we all, I mean, half these people that are probably listening to us, we didn't grow up in the Michael Jackson era, then.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Well, they're idiots. Yeah, it's like very, very white people are going, who the fuck is Barry White? Unless it's your 50 years old and you're listening to us, you probably don't know who that is. So that's why I said, sounds answer was terrible. I'm trying to give somebody a reference, somebody who's like, who actually,
Starting point is 00:02:57 he just mad because I made a reference. Somebody who's alive, somebody who's alive and still dances and sings right now in our generation that someone would actually catch on TV. Right. That's not really alive anymore. Maybe. Yeah. JT. JT. Okay. That's a good answer. He tries. Justin Timberlake's legit. He's legit for a dancer. He's legit. I'm singing, you know, whatever. That's a little boy bandage for me. I want a little more masculine and voice, but not so deep that I had to sound like I was singing in the 50s
Starting point is 00:03:25 to sound like I fit in. I want to be able to sing something that's masculine, but not, you know, or... Yeah, that whole Motown, that whole era, I did. That was awesome. Come on, bass, the bass. It all went to shit after that, in my opinion. Well, see, in here... The 70s was the last thing to do.
Starting point is 00:03:43 Here's, here's goes back to what we talked about with Brendan, where I think you guys, you know, you guys' opinions are pretty tainted because you're, you're married and you've got stuck in a generation area. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, Drake, but lyrically the guy has some pretty sick flows. Did you write his own lyrics? He does. That's also what makes him tell you. Yeah, I'll give him a crack. So, but if you want to, you want to get on a topic of, you know, lyrically talented people, I think, wallay is pretty sick.
Starting point is 00:04:17 No, it's common. It's pretty sick. No, this is great. Yeah, these guys are obviously Jay Z is probably one of the two-p two pucks and what would. Okay, once again, a lot more of a poet. Stuck him. Yeah, stuck in an air again. I think two pockets, my favorite rapper of all time too, but believe it or not, if you listen to some new shit nowadays, there's some actually guys out there that have got some pretty deep shit
Starting point is 00:04:39 out there that's pretty good. So, but you actually have to pick up not impressed. Listen, the music music at the 60s and 70s was the last two decades of great music. You know what happened? The drugs, the drugs changed. No, the drugs changed. All of a sudden everybody started doing cocaine and then disco.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Yeah, exactly. But before that it was acid and marijuana and mushrooms and alcohol and you had jazz and you had rock and drink. You got to get in here. You got to get in here. Henry and you had some crazy shit. Fuck, I mean yeah a lot of them died but it was great music. But that always produces something awesome. That's how I like my artist.
Starting point is 00:05:12 I like my artist so fucked up. You're right. All they can do is play music and then everything else is horrible for me. Yeah, like Axel Rose, dude, that guy was never sober. Never. I agree. You know, you didn't want him to be.
Starting point is 00:05:23 You know the music's gonna suck when a band comes out It's like okay, we're gonna stop doing drugs. Yeah, your music's gonna suck now I I agree with you guys that I'm in let's be honest to older music like that so much of new music is stemmed from that They have stolen so many stylistically or washed watered down version, but here's the thing I'm trying to help you guys out with is you cannot be the old guys Who are so narrow minded that don't realize that there is there is something to appreciate to new to it's new It's different and that's the problem with so many people is that when things are new and it's different
Starting point is 00:05:55 We automatically reject it. Not true. Not true. Yes. I like new. I like it. Yes true I like indie music. New indie music is good. I like indie pop indie dance There's some you know metal that that's more recent, that's really good. It's the bubblegum shit that they produce. It's heavily produced. It's written by 15 people. That's pop music. We're not even, bro.
Starting point is 00:06:16 Hip hop, almost all of it, so produced. And then hip hop is like Sam Country. It's Samples of all kinds of songs. It's like, come up with your own freaking. There is a lot of that in there, but there is still a lot of original good artists that are coming up that actually talk shit about other artists that are like that.
Starting point is 00:06:32 There, you guys are, once again, you're being so caught in your bubble, I've not realized in that, there are artists that are like that, 100%, pop, and all the freaking synthesizers shit and like everything's all dressed up with computers and it's not real good art and people are having. Who's a good artist right now that's like I'm just like top 20. Well what do you what kind of what tell me the genre that you want to talk about?
Starting point is 00:06:56 I don't know something that's that's real good music rock band that I can listen to. A good ear shot. Ear shot? I like ear shot. I haven't heard them. Yeah. Ear shots. I mean if you want like a heavier rock I can listen to. A good earshot. Earshot? I like earshot. I haven't heard them. Yeah. Earshots, I mean, if you want like a heavier rock, like you listen to, I think you'll like that. It's kind of like, you know, chivalish type of deal. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:14 I saw a red this weekend and I tell you guys that. No. No, awesome is this. So I'm a, so one of the things we did, we had like a man-caffle on this weekend, where we did all these. Oh, you gotta give everybody, we got to tell everybody, man-cass-along. It was a master party in Vegas. Yeah, we had, I had like a man-calfal on this weekend where we did all these. Oh, you gotta give everybody, we won't know.
Starting point is 00:07:25 Man-cass along. It was a Bachelors party in Vegas. Yeah, I had the most unique Bachelors party this weekend. Which by the way, just, we need to preface, okay? This episode is supposed to be about Adam's update for a sound-a-day approach. So we started, we're not just talking to Joe now. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:07:40 But my point is you're in pre-contest mode and you go to Vegas for a B party. Yeah, which I was like this I would Dan Bilzerian and you know, like crazy shit But in reality you did something completely different. Yeah, so First of all Vegas is one of my favorite places in the world to go to so I'm going to Vegas. I'm the best man of The wedding coming up and it's my this is my true truest longest best friend This is my child who we go all the way back to when we were like eight years old
Starting point is 00:08:11 So we've been friends forever and on the best man is my wedding and I'm planning this Bachelor party and But one of the stipulations is, see my buddy is kind of, you know, I don't want to use square, because he's a very good dude, but he's not into, he's getting married, he's a principal at a school.
Starting point is 00:08:33 So he's not into the party scene anymore. We did that when we were, we did that in our early 20s together, you know, so he definitely got his fair share of clubbing and drinking and party and doing all the fun stuff, but you know, the guy's, he's a leader in a school district. It sounds like a sensible guy.
Starting point is 00:08:48 I mean, wow. Yeah, no, good dude. Very, very good dude. I mean, my best friend for sure. And he's allowed to go hang out with you, he's my kind of person. Yeah, so he, he wanna his specific roles to me. For real.
Starting point is 00:08:59 He was, you know, Adam, you plan my bachelor party, you know me better than anybody. This is not your typical Vegas trip that you would want to do. And I said, no, bro, I know that. I said, but just let me real quick though, no clubs or no pool scene at all. Just, nah, dude, I don't really want to do that. We've done that.
Starting point is 00:09:15 It's like if we go to Vegas, I want to do different shit. So I'm like, okay, so it was first of all, I put us somewhere where I've never been, we were outside, well, a little bit off the strip at a place called Platinum. We had a 2000 square foot room, almost like condos. We had a full blown kitchen in it, balcony, that was a really nice place, but off, not in a hotel or casino,
Starting point is 00:09:39 it was just a nice hotel. And the first day that we get there, the very first thing we do is night golf. So we have night golf tailor-made that we go to, which we played just nine holes, but pretty cool though, because it was a nine hole course. And it's just beautiful, man. It's 10, 11 o'clock at night.
Starting point is 00:10:01 We're shooting golf. You could see the strip behind you. And we had a lot of it to ourselves. So it was really nice, it was really cool. Although I am terrible at golf. I know this, but my two best friends that are along here, they're huge golf fans. The coolest part of the golf thing, golfing for me.
Starting point is 00:10:20 I was dead last, but we got to the whole number five, right? And there was three models that were out shooting, getting like doing photos for a magazine. Oh, I'm awake. Okay, so and they were beautiful. And of course, when we get up to that hole, I had to go over and say hi and introduce myself. Plus, I needed to make sure that we didn't hit them with a ball. I want to let them know that we're coming through. Were you shirtless?
Starting point is 00:10:39 I was not shirtless. I was a normal close. That's weird. But I will say, when I walked up, okay, I had the best this dismay in my night right here I'm shooting terrible golf mind you're gonna my ass kicked I hate the sport my buddies know this I'm just not built for golf, you know It's opposite of what you need if you're if you're competitor, right? So I I walk up and introduce myself as I'm walking up to say hi to these girls, say hi. Before I could say anything else,
Starting point is 00:11:06 one of the models goes, oh my God, you have great calves. Yeah. I was like, what? Instantly, like, just made my mouth. Of all things. Of all things that fallows you and like, I'm so curious about this. I'm gonna say it.
Starting point is 00:11:20 Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait, wait, let's get this straight. It's 10 o'clock at night. Yeah, how dark is it? Yeah. Dude, we are under this spotlight, Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, with them or whatever or maybe I, you know, maybe I did some stuffing, maybe I did some cap raises before I walked over to her. I don't know, but maybe, maybe I don't care what the reason being the bottom line is never in my life. Have I walked up to a woman in all my years, walked up to a woman, especially a beautiful woman at that.
Starting point is 00:11:56 And the first words that she says to me is you have great caps, it fucking made my, it made my, I shot the worst golf on my life. It was terrible. I got my ass kicked by everybody else. But the whole time, I was just like, Adam, did you like, all right, did you tear up?
Starting point is 00:12:08 I'm cruising to the golf car with my buddy on my dude. She called me with my calves right now. I'm so excited. He's like, bro, you're getting your ass kicked right now. You're down like 17 strokes from the next person. I'm like, I'm a bad at it. Oh, they are. Adam, I'm like, product, it's a flop.
Starting point is 00:12:19 Dude, she just said I had great calves right here. I even called my girl. I had to call my girl, listen, we just ran into these good looking models right now. And the first thing that she said to me, you'll never get what she said. When she said, she said, you have great calves. She goes, oh, I bet that made your day. And I'm like, it did make my day.
Starting point is 00:12:34 So that was it. That's what we do. We do a night golf. And then the next morning. So we did that to through the night through through midnight or whatever. Then we get up the next morning at six o'clock in the morning. And we hop on a tour bus to head out 50 something miles to a shooting range, which I got a chance to shoot all kinds of fully. You send us a video of you shooting like a machine gun. That was an M60.
Starting point is 00:12:55 It's the same gun that Rambo shoots inside. Oh, shit. And the Rambo movie. Wow. That was actually, that was one of the coolest guns I shot, but not the coolest. Either the Barrett 50 cow. I got to shoot a Barrett 50 cow down a range and blow up a thing at the other side,
Starting point is 00:13:12 which was pretty cool. Did you yell as you were doing like, yeah! You know, actually, because it was my first time shooting all these fully automatic weapons, I was a bit nervous. I'm a big guy, I don't want to be the guy who like, does it drop? Yeah, I don't want to be the guy drops the gun or looks like a pussy.
Starting point is 00:13:30 Kicks back. Yeah, kicks back so hard and knocks me over. So I was really, I was really listening to the Oh, yeah. So if I trust me, we were in a big group of people. I watched lots of people look like idiots. So I was like, you know, don't be an idiot. And of course, I'm in a tank top. I'm out there with all these people and the tour guides, the Marines, everyone's making comments about my muscles and stuff. And so they're like, you know, don't be an idiot. And of course, I'm gonna tank top them out there with all these people and the tour guides, the Marines, everyone's making comments about my muscles and stuff. And so they're like, oh, the buff guy, he won't have no problem with this, so I'm like, fuck,
Starting point is 00:13:51 nevermind, that was a lot of pressure that I can't let the gun go flying in my head or have a hard time. So I was definitely listening to the instructions that were given to me. The coolest gun I probably fired was a gun called a SCAR. The SCAR shoots a 308 caliber, fully automatic bullets, which are the, look like fucking missiles.
Starting point is 00:14:09 That must have given me a nice little kicker. Oh, bro, it was, it was, you get to shoot it fully automatic, but I wouldn't let, I don't think I'd let more than about seven or eight bullets fly before I'd stop it because it's so much power, you can't keep it from going. Yeah, it starts to pull to the left. That's why it goes up into the left. Yeah, up into the left or up into the right is typically what they do So you get it all set on it on its target. You're all tucked in tight and that gun had so much cake to it
Starting point is 00:14:32 I was like God, how does someone even hold on to this thing? And I'm a big dude like it was crazy So yeah, I shot I shot that the scar The scar I shot a saw I shot a these are all big bad boy guns that were pretty, pretty sick. Of course, we shot like a stupid little guy. We didn't, although you could shoot a grenade launcher. You have an, they have it. Oh, you shoot me. Oh, you can.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Oh, you can. I love Nevada. I'm going. No, this, let me tell you, this is, I'm going to give a little, I'm going to give a little plug to this place. It's by far the best place to go shoot fully automatic ones. People don't know this, but if you go somewhere in Vegas and you just go to, obviously,
Starting point is 00:15:10 for this my boys' batch of part, we had to do some research to find the best place. Of course, we're gonna go, right? And if you go anywhere in Vegas to shoot fully automatic weapons, they're not truly fully automatic. They're fully automatic weapons that they set to semi-auto.
Starting point is 00:15:25 So you can exactly have some of the covers. You go, you know what I'm saying, but you cannot hold the trigger and just go to town. It doesn't want you to just unleash it. They don't want you to. Well, you'll melt the fricking. And most of them are indoor where they're ceilings and stuff like that. And there's all these regulations for that. So there are automatic weapons you supposedly get to fire,
Starting point is 00:15:41 but you don't really get to go automatically. Well, here, but you have to drive 51 miles out of town in order to do this into Arizona. And Arizona is where there is no laws like that whatsoever. And you can fire anything you want. And they're on full, fully automatic that we get to fire. And there was probably 50 different guns of every crazy war gun you could think of. You could fire. It's out in like Hills have eyes territory, right? I don't know that I don't know that movie very well
Starting point is 00:16:07 so I don't know it is it is forget that we had to go terrible movie we went past you saw we stopped at I have a great story about that movie what what is the freaking damn Hoover damn we stopped the Hoover damn so then anyways we did so the place is called those that were waiting for the plug, burgers and bullets, hands down the best place. The names sold me, right? Yeah, and then they actually serve these badass, like they taste like homemade burgers.
Starting point is 00:16:36 You stop in this little shop, bomb. So all around, that was a sweet treat. So I got a question, because you're, what do we, three weeks or two weeks out, three weeks out? You done hearing my man, Catholic. No, no, no, no, no, because I got a question because you're would it be three weeks or two weeks out three weeks out You done hearing my man, Kathelon. No, no, no, I got a good question. I got a good question about that because how do you do? Center me your time late in 19 days out night. So how do you do with your food? Did you get to bring your food with you? I did bring about a day and a half worth of food and then the rest I kind of managed
Starting point is 00:17:01 I also in Corp. This is where I incorporated our intermittent fasting too So I did one day kind of managed. I also, in court, this is where I incorporated our intermittent fasting too. So, I did one day of intermittent fasting. I did, so how did you do it like 24 hour one or you know eating in the day and then? No, 17. So what I did, the day that I knew we were going for burgers and bullets, I knew at lunch time,
Starting point is 00:17:17 I would be eating, and I knew I couldn't take my food on that trip. I knew we were heading out, and plus I didn't know what was gonna be like, I didn't wanna be like a total douchebag carrying his frickin bag while we were all on this tour. Toer-backed bread. Yeah, heading up and plus I didn't know what was going to be like. I didn't want to be like a total douchebag carrying his freaking bag while we're all on this tour. Backed back. Yeah, which I'm glad I didn't because I would have looked like a total douchebag carrying carrying my food with me. So I knew that I was going to be eating burgers later on in the afternoon. So then the night before I shut it down. So the night before I shut it down by about
Starting point is 00:17:42 nine o'clock was my last meal, fasted all the way through the tour. And then when we got to the burger place, I actually had two cheeseburgers, two avocado bacon avocado cheeseburgers. And that was my, those were my two main meals to kickstart my day for the rest of the day. So that's how I handled that. And then, and then I, the rest of the time, the menu I could order off action was pretty cool. I could have grilled chicken, or that's the room. I had steak and eggs and my typical pancakes for breakfast. And, you know, the one thing that really hurt me was, it was hard because I was getting things
Starting point is 00:18:17 served in my room that it wasn't measured or weighed or anything like that, so I couldn't be precise about things. And then what really hurt me probably was just the lack of rest. I mean, we were out till late nights up early early. I didn't get very much sleep. And on top of that, their little gym they had inside there was terrible.
Starting point is 00:18:33 Because I was on my buddy's schedule. Maybe weights, huh? Yeah, I don't think they went over 40 pound dumbbells. And it was like just a dumbbell reckoning. That's it in one bench and then treadmills and bikes. And so it wasn't much. So what I do when I'm on a trip, and I went to a hotel gym like that,
Starting point is 00:18:47 because like you said, the dumbbells don't go very heavy. There's like three machines, usually no barbells. I'll typically do like quick kind of circuits. Is that what you did? Exactly, basically I did a trigger session. Okay. Basically I did my trigger session style on everything and a little bit longer than a typical trigger session,
Starting point is 00:19:02 but instead of fretting, not getting any workout whatsoever, I pretty much just got a pump on everything and did some cardio. So, but for me, right now, to me, that's a loss. It's not what I wanna be, I need it in. Right now, my intensity is where I'm increasing everything, so to not have that for two days, that hurt a little bit, but to come out of the show, or come out of the weekend,
Starting point is 00:19:23 so that's okay, I'll finish where I was at. So what did we just do last? We just did the bulls. Bulls and burgers. We get back from that. When we get back from that, we head over to Go Kart Racing. Go Kart Racing was the indoor ones that do like 60 plus miles an hour, which is pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:19:38 You have to do like an instructional video and get all this stuff before you start and you're fully geared up and hell-matched out and everything, and of these things. And we raced, and we did this, man. Are these gas powered or electric? Oh, these are electric. Oh, 60, 60. Well, a lot of them have converted.
Starting point is 00:19:51 Yeah, no, these are electric. Oh, yeah. These were gasped, and you know, these were so fast that you could not do the track throttle all the way down, and you spy spun out two different times. Uh-huh. And that's cool, they did. Bro, you're big ass in a guard and you go,
Starting point is 00:20:03 you must look like it. You probably look like King Cooper, a freaking's cool. They throw you your big ass in a guard and go, you must look like you probably look like King Cooper. Yeah, exactly. So I cannot believe you just said that because you know, it's so funny. That's what we talked about that getting into that. And they get Donkey Kong. They gave me Donkey Kong or the dinosaur. Who's the big, who's the big guy?
Starting point is 00:20:17 King Cooper. King Cooper. Yeah, yeah. So the dinosaur and they were calling me that the whole time. And so here's the thing that was shitty about this weekend for me was it was, we named it the man, Cathalon, and all these events we scored them all. So we scored them all and there was this overall,
Starting point is 00:20:34 my competition. Yeah, this overall competition looks all of us are very competitive guys. So of course, go kart racing, since they're all governed at the same speed, somebody who my buddies all weigh 160 pounds to 190 pounds and I'm 220. So I was definitely at a disadvantage there for sure.
Starting point is 00:20:54 And I lost there. I came last in that. I came last in golf. So these are things that I was terrible at. But then I knew that later on, so after Go Kart racing later that evening, we were heading off to do bowling. And I'm like, okay, I'm a decent baller. So for a shitty baller, I'm a decent baller.
Starting point is 00:21:13 I'm not a good baller by any means whatsoever. The best I've probably ever bowled is maybe like a 220. But I consistently should be able to hit like 151.60, and the rest of the guys are pretty bad. So I'm like, okay, this is gonna be my makeup. My makeup sport is this. And then one of the odd sports that we did also was hearts, which I'm probably one of the best hearts player you guys will ever play without going to prison.
Starting point is 00:21:33 If you meet somebody who's been in prison before, they can probably beat me. Everybody else, I can beat in hearts. So I'm like, okay, these are gonna be my sports that I win or the things that we do that I'm gonna win. So we go bowling. It was really cool when we go bowling. It was rockin' bowl on the strip. Really cool place called Brooklyn Bowl. And we pull up
Starting point is 00:21:49 and we're like, Hey, we want to play against the like, Oh, sorry, there's a concert going tonight. And you have to buy tickets to the concert in order to even go pay for bowling. So I'm like, and I'm like, can I at least go live in the bowling lanes? I want to see what they look like. So I go walk and they let me in. I can hear the rock music playing stuff like that. And I go walking around the corner and I see the lanes are like dead. No in I can hear the rock music playing so like that and I go walking around the corner And I see the lanes are like dead no one's the rock concert It's a big old rock concert going on inside there and I look up and I'm like holy shit. It's the band red I fucking love red. Oh perfect
Starting point is 00:22:14 And so I walked back out until the boys am I dude? I'm paying for all your tickets We're going and they're because they're like oh fuck that we're not gonna pay for a rock concert We don't want to listen to and then we're I'm like dude. we're going, I'm buying all you tickets and we're going here. So we played rock and bowl there. I got to listen to Red, which is a band that I love. And then on top of that, we're, we're going. But I came in second to last place in bowling. Got my ass kicked.
Starting point is 00:22:35 Damn. Yeah, bro. I'm bro, we need to work on sport skills. I'm gonna work on that athletic maps. I have to tell you, I have to tell you ever since this whole competing thing, man, I'm all show no go bro. I look I look fast look athletic but Jesus man I've lost a lot of my athletic. You're the yang to my yin bro. Tell you all my buddies smoke me this weekend So then I'll have you after that we did within we went to a dive bar and the one event
Starting point is 00:22:59 I took first place in was shuffleboard We played we played the bar the one that requires the least enough. Yes, the least enough. Yes, I swept all three games in shuffleboard. So I was the big weiner for shuffleboard. And then the next day was the final part. So we did all that in two days. So it was quite an event. Who won the whole. My buddy Justin took I took last. My buddy Justin took first place. last. My buddy Justin took first place and then my other buddy Brian took second
Starting point is 00:23:29 and then the bachelor took third and then I took last. Were you able to have a good workout when you came back today? So I actually flew in on Sunday night and because I had such a shitty weekend as far as feeling sleep wise, feeling like I didn't eat right
Starting point is 00:23:44 and not getting great work. I actually went straight to the gym and lifted to about 11 o'clock a night. So you worked out Sunday? I did. I worked out late night Sunday, and then I was back up today. And today was rough,
Starting point is 00:23:55 because I was, came off of the food like that. Sunday I had already started low-carbing it. I started today, low-carbing it. And then of course, I wanted to kickstart my week with some good ass legs and squatting. So today's workout was, it took a lot of heart to get to shape. Yeah, to get to make up some time there. Yeah, I get through today's workout.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Were they big drinkers? Were they big drinkers or not at all? Not at all. Not at all. They both, we bought, that's easy bro. You're talking about. It was, you know what, it was, it was not hard to be good with this group of guys for this trip
Starting point is 00:24:28 because they all had some beers and they all ate bad food and they all had a drink. But to me that's not hard. That's just like being home, you know, people have bad food. It's different when you're around like people partying. Yeah, you can't partying. Yeah, if I went shots and yeah, if I would have went to like a nightclub or something,
Starting point is 00:24:43 I would have definitely would have had to go find like a local drug dealer and got some cocaine or something Something that took my mind off of all the drink is something some zero calories Yeah, you know drunk. Yeah immediate. Yeah, something that actually increased my heart rate and worked to work to my benefit Being kind of like the eyes. Is that are you smoking? Are you smoking meth in the corner? I can't drink I can't drink man. I finished. Are you smoking meth in the corner? I can't drink. I can't drink meth. I can't do it. Yeah, I know. It would have been a much more cha,
Starting point is 00:25:10 had we done a Vegas trip that I would have liked to do, which would have been the pool scene, the clubs, which, so it worked out perfect, you know, so I survived. Just from looking at you, you death, I mean, I can tell you're low carbing, but you also look leaner. Yeah, I was telling him his face. You know, Justin said that and it made me feel really good because to be honest with you,
Starting point is 00:25:27 I kind of chalked us week up as a non-progress week for me. No, your face definitely looks leaner. Yeah. Good, good. That makes me feel good because like I said, I didn't, I really felt like this week. This weekend wasn't enough to like really take a major step backwards, but I really felt the lack of sleep and then the inconsistency, even though it was in bad food,
Starting point is 00:25:50 but the inconsistency on my diet was enough to keep me from really progressing. How was your weight? Is it different? Did you gain or lose from last week or did you stay the same? You know, to be truthful about that, we won't really know till probably, I mean, I came back and I was actually up quite a few pounds,
Starting point is 00:26:07 but a lot of that was because I had the burgers and had a bunch of fried bread to sleep. So you won't know probably till Wednesday. Yeah, probably tomorrow or Wednesday will be the true test of, you know, how much did I gain or lose, you know, and this is what I try and tell with flying too, I always notice that I retain water whenever I fly somewhere. So yeah, my weight, my weight was up a little bit, but not enough to freak me out. I did a comparison picture of what I was right before, the last picture I did, where I had my beanie on, and then I took a picture on Sunday night.
Starting point is 00:26:40 So last night, I took a picture and put them side by side. And I looked like I didn't get any leaner and And I looked much fuller from the the additional calories or holding some extra water But we won't know until probably tomorrow the next day. So this is normally like Adam lockdown time, right? Yes, this is like this is like zero dark hour. I call this like this is what I typically go dark Yeah, cuz you sent an a reachable, man. Like, I've been working with this guy a long time and I was just gonna say because he sent us a text earlier.
Starting point is 00:27:13 I'm trying to find it right now. Yeah, he's like, I need you guys to be, you don't mind if I read this. Go ahead, go ahead, put me on blast. All right. It's the raw truth, you're like put me on blast. So he says, Sal, I'm really attracted to you. Oh, this one.
Starting point is 00:27:26 Be gentle. Sorry, that was a one before that. I really need you guys to be patient with me the next 19 days. My home life is stressed to the max right now as I'm putting a lot of my girl right now and not giving any back. Well, it's very nice of you to say. 19 more days to go and I will be back to normal.
Starting point is 00:27:40 And then he said, Justin's been here with me before and I normally go dark from here and now and I just don't have that option So basically he's saying like listen, I'm gonna be dark. I'm gonna so what does that mean? Well, yeah, I mean you're gonna be moody or is that mean you're gonna be quiet? He gets into a place or frame of mind where it's just like I feel like I'm speaking for you right now It's like this is your like hibernation period maybe and then you you like
Starting point is 00:28:04 right now. This is your like hibernation period maybe and then you you're like you know you emerge as a new butterfly right? It is such a beautiful way to describe this. But guess what if you fuck with the cocoon? A bear comes out and you find it you. Do you get all moody and shit? Yeah. Well I do if I do and that's part of so why I go dark is because I don't like to put, I don't like myself in the last two weeks. We've talked about stress before, and like yourself, I don't accept stress, and I'm very good about meditating and calming myself and not allowing things like that. But part of the ways that I have to do that is to kind of take my self away.
Starting point is 00:28:45 Because I understand that because I'm low-car, because I have all this shit on my plate, because I'm extremely competitive and focused on myself and what I'm doing right now, that that comes off sometimes really bad with either family, friends, co-workers. And so I'm just, I don't have the patience. If you don't understand me and you don't
Starting point is 00:29:05 know me well enough and you have never been with me through this part, I find the need to just kind of go dark because if, and by dark, I mean, like I'm not responding any text messages, I'm not really on my social media very much. I'm working as minimal as I can work. And that, that right there is just, it helps me to folks stay focused. And it also helps me to keep myself in at a situations where I might get irritated at somebody and might be a little short with somebody because they don't understand. You know, some people, this is very, very, I'm very competitive. So when I come into a show like this, I'm super, super hardcore about what I'm doing.
Starting point is 00:29:46 And most people don't get that. So the closer you get to the show, the more you feel. Yeah. What about, do you think that diet has anything to play in terms of the perk? Sure. As you start to get more and more depleted. Because right now, intensity levels increasing, my time in the gym is increasing and my calories are decreasing.
Starting point is 00:30:03 So I'm putting more demand on my body while I'm giving it less fuel coming into this show. So yeah, absolutely. There's a lot to do with both. That's a lot to do with being deprived of the food. It has a lot to do with the added workload I'm putting on myself. And like I said today, today's workout
Starting point is 00:30:21 literally took a lot of heart for me because I knew I had to bring it and I knew I was going to be feeling tired and to pair legs and backs back together on my first day back from being in Vegas and being tired and beat up. Oh, God, this is a day that I would love to just take a day off and to reset and get back but I didn't have that option. Plus, I had to work quite crazy. I got a lot of stuff going on business-wise right now and I have no choice but to stay focused right now. So yeah, that's. We got you. We got your back, bro. Appreciate it, man. I appreciate it. I know Justin's
Starting point is 00:30:53 been through here. It's been through me or been through this. I've been through him. Yeah. He's it. That's the thing too. I get a little bit dumber. I like to mess with you more when you're in this. You have you you have a face you have a smile on your face Justin that I haven't seen yet. It's like giddy. It's like yeah, you're actually giddy about this. I can't wait to join in I know on the fun here. So this is this is also where now okay, so last week When we were talking I was doing a lot of hit cardio involved in there where I do my 12 to 15 minutes post workout here and there. I was starting to incorporate that. So now that's happening now.
Starting point is 00:31:33 And on top of that, I start to interject probably 45 minutes to an hour of either fasted or steady state cardio through my routines. And that's really just dictated by nutritionally where I'm at, how much, how mobile I am. I'm really too, I don't count walking on the treadmill or even like a very, very low intensity as cardio. So let's say I have a day where I just ended up having to do a lot of work at my desk or maybe I slept in an hour or two. I'm going to make up that hour or two of activity. And if it means I'm going for long walk or it means that I write a bike somewhere or it means that I extend my workout or it means I add steady state in addition to that, that
Starting point is 00:32:19 goes, that is not me technically doing cardio, that's me making up for the time that I lost of mobility. So I take that all very seriously, and I'm very dialed about that come this time right now. Well, I think what's cool too, is that you're posting this on our site, right? If I'm not mistaken, on mindpumpradio.com. Yeah, we need God-paste. Yeah, so we're gonna put up, you know,
Starting point is 00:32:38 what are we putting on there? Like measurements and kind of what? I don't take circumference measurements, right? It's a girth. Yeah, it's a girth. Yeah, we said girth. No, what was it that you were playing? You were putting my weight, my macros.
Starting point is 00:32:49 There you go. Yeah, so and that's what's also starting to change now too is last week I would run about 150 grams of carbs two days and then I would reload again with between 400 and 600 grams of carbs to a reload. Now, I'll continue running a low day, but my low might get as low as 100 to 100. 150 will be the high end on my low day, where before I was letting my low be 150, sometimes it would peak up close to 200,
Starting point is 00:33:18 where now I will not let it go above 150 for those two days. And then even when I refeed, I won't refeed quite as high as 400 to 600. I'll probably refeed more like 350 to 400 just because I want to keep those calories down and continue to overall shred as it come in. So that's kind of the transition, food wise, that's what you, what's going to be happening this week.
Starting point is 00:33:40 The cardio, like I told you, I'll probably interject probably three days of steady state or fasted cardio in there along with 12 to 20 minute hit post workout and some of my workouts. All that being dictated off of my neat. Tomorrow I probably won't do any cardio. Tomorrow I'm up at 4 a.m. I'm also low carbying so there is no reason for me to put any extra work in because I'm going to put in four hours of running back and forth at work where I'm yelling at people to do exercises and stuff where I'll burn close to a thousand calories right there alone. So I'll just get my normal lift in.
Starting point is 00:34:13 And then when I refeed on Wednesday, Wednesday is a less mobile day for me. And I will not only will I refeed, but then that day I will for sure put in at least 45 minutes to an hour of steady state cardio. Awesome. Yep. And then water stays consistent right now. Sodium is high. I keep all my sodium.
Starting point is 00:34:35 This is also the week two at the end of this week. I will start my one vice, the one bad thing that Adam always allows in his diet that you know, you can I'm not perfect. Okay Is my artificial sweeteners, you know, and I'm sure a diet coke. Yeah, I have a diet He just had a diet in jolt. Yeah, I do I do have and I and those are I believe that's a real thing. Yeah, no right and so those think those things will be in in my diet This will be the last week of that. Then from that point on, I'll have no more artificial sweeteners. No more artificial sweeteners, which means I have to kick my own bars.
Starting point is 00:35:13 I got it. Oh, I don't even do any bars. So actually, so this show I backed to my old school ways, which is no bars whatsoever. Right. I don't do all that bullshit in those, you know, I know everybody who's listening probably is a big fan of Quest. I love Quest bars too, because it tastes like fucking candy bars, because they're pretty damn close to them.
Starting point is 00:35:29 That's why. And I notice a significant difference in my physique when I do not put those in my diet and I get my macros from real foods. So can I get lean off of that? Absolutely, I've done a show with them in my diet, but I look much sharper when they're not in my diet. So those aren't in the diet at whatsoever in this show. And when I'm doing my cutting, I'll cut out my,
Starting point is 00:35:56 I allow myself to have basically a diet coke in a day one right now. I allow myself to do my stevia inside my coffee and I allow myself probably two to three times in the week. I'll have like sugar-free syrup on my protein pack ice. So those those three things are things that will go after this week. Now it's like and dairy as well like I noticed you didn't have any cheese on your. Yeah, I don't really do salad. Okay, that's another good one too. So this is where little things like that will go. Typically leading up to this week,
Starting point is 00:36:29 I'll have Greek yogurt plenty of times in my diet. I'll have the blue cheese would be put on that. I normally have this salad that's chicken, walnuts and blue cheese. I'll cut that out. And nothing more so than really, it's just, it's dairy, I noticed once I start to lean out better, once the dairy has gone from me, I feel better too. People say, a lot of people say,
Starting point is 00:36:52 and I totally, that they hold water when they have dairy. Yeah, you know, and it's probably me too. I can't tell you for sure what it is. These are just things that I've learned that when they're out of my diet, my body looks much sharper. So I sort of drop the cheese in any sort of dairy. And I don't have a lot of that anyways. I have very, very minimal dairy. Well, I brought that up mainly because that was my biggest vice when I was going through the weight cutting process. And so I kind of saved
Starting point is 00:37:19 that and then I noticed the dramatic change when you fed it out. And I was like so sad about that I also noticed that you don't eat a lot of foods that contain gluten normally like the pasta that you would eat even It's gluten-free. It was all gluten-free. Do you notice? Keenwapos needles. Yeah. Yeah, do you notice a difference when you eat gluten versus not in terms of water retention? Because I've heard other people say that as well that if they eat carbohydrates of gluten They tend to hold more water than if they don't. You know what, you mentioned that the other day, and it made me, and I'm probably gonna do this
Starting point is 00:37:49 when I come off the show, is actually start to kind of track that and let some things that are high. Into my diet to see how it makes me feel and how it looks, because you're right, I don't do any bread, I don't do any regular white pasta. I do, the only pasta I do is my quinoa noodle pasta, which is good gluten-free.
Starting point is 00:38:11 So I haven't really tracked that. And you know what, it's naturally happened, that way because I'm not a big like huge, like gluten-free advocate guy, but I do, I probably, I've probably eliminated it just naturally because it has made me look better and feel better and and not even really thinking about it Yeah, so I will have to track that afterwards I will I will get into that after after show and play with it and see if there is a difference awesome
Starting point is 00:38:36 Well, I think how are we doing on time Doug? 40 whoa Adam. Thank you, brother. There was a lot of great information. Yeah, and Yeah, I guess next episode will be pretty cool, maybe you'll be a little emotional. Yeah. It's all good. I think we should try pissing them off. This, the next week should be,
Starting point is 00:38:53 I should probably be really, feeling myself by next week. Next week is, when I get into the final two weeks, I pretty much am stage ready. It's just kind of playing with the last bit, fine tuning the last bit. So I hope I'm really, really rocking. Beautiful, man. We kind of playing with the last bit, fine tuning the last bit, so hope them really, really rocked. Can I have a beautiful man? We'll be there to play some needs.
