Starting point is 00:00:00 If you want to pump your body and expand your mind, there's only one place to go. Mite, pop, mite, pop with your hosts. Salda Stefano, Adam Schaefer, and Justin Andrews. So I think we should let the listeners know about the agreement we made earlier, where we basically, we're going to change a format of mind pump a little bit. We're not going to curse anymore. We're not going to talk of mine pump a little bit. We're not gonna curse anymore. We're not gonna talk about sex or private parts. We were bought by PBS.
Starting point is 00:00:29 Yeah, we're gonna talk to the big news. God, could you imagine if we did something like that? We sold out to PBS guys. It was, it was, God, I was gonna say the F-bomb right there. It was, what is PBS stand for Justin? P-Nyle, but... Can't say that anymore, dude. It's P-Nile.
Starting point is 00:00:46 Everything. That's not a dirty word. Yes, it's a beep. Oh. Every time you talk, beep. Yeah. Dang. Yeah, so what do you guys say?
Starting point is 00:00:56 You know, what do you guys think about this? This whole new PBS thing, you know, what's that gonna be like for us? I think Sal will be fine. I think he sounds like one of the guy, He kind of sounds like the PBS guy when he talks Hello, ladies and gentlemen. I feel like I'm gonna have the hardest time with it. Welcome to NPR. I have the smallest vocabulary You know most miners is Cell it's gonna be tough for me. Well you make up with your lawn. I might need a teleprompter gentleman Could you get it? Could you get me a teleprompter? I could do that. Yeah. Could you maybe, maybe I'll take less percentage and you could write,
Starting point is 00:01:26 right? I just gonna have to hold it over there in the corner. Like, he doesn't really want to get up and have to be that guy. I would never sell to PBS. Fuck the... Oh, I'm so stupid. Just kidding, we got you.
Starting point is 00:01:38 I'm so stupid. Dude, I'm tired today. You guys want to, you want to know I'm tired? Oh, dude. Let me tell you what happened. Let me tell you what happened. This whole week, I took the whole week off of work. You guys want to, you want to know I'm tired? Wait, what the fuck? Let me tell you what happened. Let me tell you what happened. This whole week, I took the whole week off of work.
Starting point is 00:01:48 You guys know this, because we had a little gap there. Where the kids start, my kids have camp next week. They don't have any camp this week. I have no one to watch them. So I stayed home to watch them, which means I had to work out at 6am every morning now, which sucks ass. And Adam, I'm gonna tell you something, bro. I'm using machines now.
Starting point is 00:02:08 And I'm doing finisher's because I'm tired. You're dead in the morning. I have to, bro. I'm dead to me. I'm tired. I use the side lateral machine. I like the smooth machine. And it's like, it's got its place.
Starting point is 00:02:21 I got a really good pump. Hey, how awesome was that post I shared with you guys? What a dish. That got the, that got the most comments on my page. Oh, dude, the guy. A long time. At least if you have not seen it yet, go over to Adam's Instagram. Explain it.
Starting point is 00:02:34 Explain it. Okay, so tell the listener. Okay, but here's what's great. See now, some, some douchebag on Facebook sent me a comment about, you know, maybe you should go over and help him, right? Okay, well, first of all. Well, no, explain what happened first. Yeah, well, first of all, and then what I helped him, you know, maybe you should go over and help them, right? Okay, well, first of all, well, no, explain what happened first. Yeah, well, first of all, I didn't know what I helped him.
Starting point is 00:02:49 You think he would actually like listen to you and be receptive to that? Exactly. But I'm a dick, so I didn't say that. All I said was, you're obviously not a mind-pum blistener. That's what I said. Yeah. If you would know, we would have taught. Do we give out helpies all day?
Starting point is 00:03:03 First of all, how could you help them when you were busy recording them? Exactly. So that's a great point. That's not true. Who's gonna do that? Who's gonna do that? I mean, he wanted it. Okay, so listen, this is my way.
Starting point is 00:03:12 What's great is that our mind publicer is just to hear the full story and Instagram does not even tell the half of why this is so great. Yes. So first of all, let me tell you guys this, that okay, this guy's been coming around to 24 Offentices in the Bay Area for like 10 plus years. And he always comes in.
Starting point is 00:03:27 So if you live in the area and you'll see this guy, he always comes in with a polo shirt. He always wears a polo shirt tucked in in normally shorts and normally like a baseball ball. He's already 10 points in the douche fill. So yeah, he comes in plus 10. And in mind you, this guy, he's somewhere between 35 and 38 years old.
Starting point is 00:03:44 So some people thought like my girl was like, like oh you should have went over and gave him advice You know, he's a young kid. I'm like young kids are fucking he's older than I am. He's grown as man Had his been doing that shit for like eight years and we used to so when we first saw this guy like eight years ago One of my trainers did approach him and all he did was get an attitude of my trainer It basically was talking shit to him because of how much weight he thinks he can lift. So I just said, okay, leave him alone. If he's an end up hurting himself, whatever.
Starting point is 00:04:11 So, exactly. But this is what this guy does. Okay, so I'm on, what was I doing? I think I was doing like, seated calf raises, right? And I see him in the corner of my eye, coming to the gym and I'm like, oh, it's him. It's him. That's when you started texting us.
Starting point is 00:04:23 And you like guys, it's coming. This is the text that I told you, right? What I told you guys, are you guys ready? And I'm like, oh, what's him. Yeah, it's him. That's when you started texting us. And you like guys, it's coming. This is the text I told you, right? What are you guys ready? And I'm like, oh, what's gonna happen? Yeah, so that was before you needed me. So just him walking the gym when I sent that. Cause you knew it. I think when you smell a fight near.
Starting point is 00:04:35 Oh, oh, yes. You high five your friend right next to 40 and after a while, he even goes down, right? So he comes in and I know this is gonna happen. So I'm watching him, right? And I'm like, he goes right over the Smith machine. I'm like, oh yeah, it's definitely what he's doing to do. I know he's gonna do it.
Starting point is 00:04:50 And he starts off and he puts one plate on each side. And he sets up the safety guards so that he can only let it come down about six to eight inches. It's one notch. Yeah. So you want to hook the bar, go down to the safety, go up. He barely has one notch under. Yeah. So that's literally five inches. He inches barely even bending his elbows. Yes, right?
Starting point is 00:05:09 So he's doing that and he does it with one plate real quick jumps up puts on two plates boom does it a couple times jumps up puts three plates on now he puts three places that here's the funny part He puts three plates on and then this is now when he begins his recruiting process So he starts walking around the gym and asking round and people if they'll come over and spot him. And at this point, like, and it's obvious to me. So this is my first time in a- By the way, if you have, if you're using a Smith machine
Starting point is 00:05:32 and you have the safety set, and you ask for a spotter, you're doing it wrong. What's that even, you're doing it wrong? Isn't that funny? Yeah. Like I literally am getting angry. The only thing he was missing was his weight belt.
Starting point is 00:05:47 If he had a weight belt on with it. If he had a weight belt in straps, that would have been a bit messy. I have zero tolerance. Just that's getting zero. He's getting angry. Yeah, I'm gonna call him when he's still adjusting down. So listen, this gets, but the story gets better.
Starting point is 00:06:00 Oh, no, me, oh. So he's going around recruiting me. Now, I haven't seen this guy in years, although I recognized him right away. And I'm at Willow, me. So he's going around recruiting me. Now, I haven't seen this guy in years, although I recognized him right away. And I'm at Willow Glenn. I rarely ever train at Willow Glenn just because it's like a little small box. I don't like it, but I just,
Starting point is 00:06:13 I actually went there specifically for a calf machine. So I'm there, I'm there, and I see this guy, right? And it's obvious that he's coming, he comes here regularly and does this because I watched at least two or three members tell him no. Like they asked, like, he asked, you know, okay, could you come over and spot me? And they're like, ah, no, bro. And I'm like, oh, I will not be a part of this. Yeah, they must know, right? They must know what they're with a game self into. So he finally gets
Starting point is 00:06:36 a hold of like these three kids, you know, they look like they're in their late teens or whatever, maybe early 20s, and he convinces them and they're like, and they're just impressed with how much weight he's putting on there. So he, recruiting when he's got three plates on there, but he never does three plates. Then he goes and he gets like two more plates and now he's got five plates on there, still hasn't done a rep yet. So we went from two to three, never doing a rep,
Starting point is 00:06:55 then to five, never doing a rep. Then he looks it up, he's kinda like sizing, he's walking back and forth, he's side the machine and he's like, you could just tell, he's like, fuck it, I'm putting seven, so he puts seven, right? And so he's got these kids. He's got these kids. Seven plays. So he's just keep adding. Oh, bro, I should have what I should have what sucks
Starting point is 00:07:11 is Instagram. So, so short. And I knew I wouldn't be able to fit all this anyways. But I was like, God, I should have videoed him teaching these guys how he wants in the spot too. So he's like, he's getting, he's getting up underneath like the seven plates on one side. The kids are hugging the way to the side. They're visibly struggling. The kid on the left in the video. You can see in his face, he's like, oh, I can probably help you lift this up an inch.
Starting point is 00:07:32 So Asinine. So each, he's giving these kids these detailed instructions on how he wants to spot. He's explained everything. So he reminded you, if you guys were listening, he recruited three kids. So the third kid is position to record him on his flip phone. So he has a razor flip phone.
Starting point is 00:07:50 They always got like a full production. So he's teaching him how to record this with him doing it on the flip phone. You can see all this. You can see the kid that's being told how to record. Wait, did you say flip phone? Yes, he's got a razor flip phone. Look at the video right now, bro.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Look at the video. You can tell him. Oh yeah, if you look closely, it's a flip phone. I, he's got a razor flip phone. Look at the video right now, bro. Look at the video. You can tell. I even noticed. Oh, yeah, if you look closely, it's a flip phone. I thought that was so hilarious that he had that in the first place. In the fact, everything about this guy is douchey. Oh, it's everything. Like, he just stopped reading and watching TV and reading like anything for like maybe
Starting point is 00:08:20 a full decade and a half. So then he does like, I was having kind of a shit. Then he does like a bunch like like four, like tiny little, like he's basically, like three, I think, yeah, two or three. He's basically stabilizing it with three, two dudes on either side. Yeah. And a Smith machine, safety.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Yeah. So let's rewind and let's retell the story if it was a gym mind pump owned. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. If it was a gym, I would walk up to him. I'm pistol with him. I'd walk up, I'm just put the gum. Yeah. Just here's my, yeah. I'd walk up to him pistol with him.
Starting point is 00:08:45 I'd walk up to him with a gun. Just here's my gun. I'd walk up to him with one plate. You know, I'm taking your card. I'd be like, sir, you're doing that wrong. Can you bring the plate, the one plate all the way down please? I was actually really afraid. Because you're doing it wrong.
Starting point is 00:08:59 I was really offended that I was only two, I was on the CD calf raise, which at Willow Glenis, right next to the squat racks. And he didn't ask you. And he didn't ask me. I had to bend the biggest dude right there. And he didn't even ask me to spot him. So I was like a little offended that like you wouldn't he skipped me, which because he knew you'd tell him that.
Starting point is 00:09:14 Well, yeah, I'm sure you wouldn't be impressed. I heard he had in my head what I was going to say to him if he did. I was going to make him do a full rep with three plates. Yeah, keep going down. I'm like, you know, I was spotted. Yeah, and then I'll spot you. I'll spot you down. You can show me one full rep with three plates,
Starting point is 00:09:29 with a quarter of what you got up there right now. And he looks like, does he look good? Does he have any muscle? He's got some big triceps. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. He's figured it out.
Starting point is 00:09:41 Maybe it works. He actually has a decent build to him. Like he's actually not, I wouldn't classify him as in really good shape. But then, I mean, for a guy in his late 30s, like, you know, he didn't have a big old beer gut. He had some arms to him. He was wearing probably a medium polo shirt.
Starting point is 00:09:55 So I mean, such a douche. There's nothing wrong with medium shirts. That's make sure we're clear about that. There were so many of those in 24-hour fitness. That's just the epitome of that environment. I don't know. It sums the whole thing up. So if you read through some of,
Starting point is 00:10:09 which I doubt anyway did, because I Katrina did, it was the one reason why I heard someone. She was reading through my comments and she was like, Oh my God, there's a lot of people that know him. He's been kicked out of like three different 24-hour fitnesses.
Starting point is 00:10:20 So like a bunch of people recognize, and that's what he does. He's famous. Yeah, he is. He's famous, he goes around and he asks people, well, I remember him getting in trouble. We got a warning. He didn't get kicked out of the gym that we were at at Santa Teresa, but we had to talk to him because the member, one of the members spotting him got hurt and complained.
Starting point is 00:10:37 Oh my God. They're like, this guy asked me to spot and help me. When you're spotting, it's hurt. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. hurt. Yeah, yeah, the spotter got hurt trying to help him. So back in the day, there was this book that was sold by, I think the writers of Iron Man magazine called,
Starting point is 00:10:51 what was it called? It was basically based on doing one or two inches of range of motion. And the whole idea, and I can't remember the name of it, if someone knows, please let's talk about it right now. And the idea was that all muscles need to grow is to be overloaded So if you only do two inches, but with way more weight It's way more better to build muscle and it was like this thing for a second
Starting point is 00:11:15 And of course nobody built muscle and everybody got hurt. Yeah, I was gonna say written by Full range of mochette com. Yeah, it was just a selling they just you know what? I do remember that do you remember that I do remember that Paul's the male was on it. Do you remember that bodybuilder with the dude with the huge quads quads? I love the guy that died yet you know what and he watching him perform his exercises It reminds me of that and I bet you that's exactly what is he probably has that book And he probably read that and he's probably stuck to that for so long. Yeah, that must be his Bible, right? Yeah That's oh now I'm so curious.
Starting point is 00:11:46 So I know that, okay, you remember, I don't want to, oh, kind of almost drop the name there. Front desk girl who had been at our front desk forever at Sanatrisa. The main one. Yes. Yeah. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:11:59 He, he taught, he, they dated for just a little bit. No. Yes. Yes. So she has some dirt. She has, we can find out about that. The only problem is when he has sex, he just goes in a little, comes back up. Little bit, little bit. Just a tip, just a tip, just a tip.
Starting point is 00:12:10 Just a tip, just a tip. So I was having a really bad day up to that point, and then that just totally made my day. That is, that made the day. And then we had our meeting. Yeah, well then that shit on my day. That shit on my day. Yeah, then we had that meeting with us.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Can I just tell you? It's a supplement company that was really interested in my job. Can I tell you like after I left, after I left you guys? I totally did their research on this. I was so angry, I was so upset, you know, and my girl is always the balance for me, you know, she's always the one that talked to me like
Starting point is 00:12:39 there's always, you know, you know, find the good that happened, there's something that positive happened, blah, blah, blah, this and that. And I'm like, you know what, what's good? Is There's something that positive happen, blah, blah, blah, this and that. And I'm like, you know what, what's good? It's gonna make for a good episode the next day when I fucking talk shit about these guys.
Starting point is 00:12:51 That's what's gonna be good at it. That's something I don't wanna talk to us anymore. It wasn't bit scared. I know, I already scared, you know what? I thought all the companies were scared, we finally get one to come out to us and then now we're gonna lose this one too. Well, so here's what happens, right?
Starting point is 00:13:01 We care. So, set the table here. Who's the one that made this connection? I did. Who's the one that set this up? That's the entire thing up. It's him, isn't it? He's the one that said it.
Starting point is 00:13:12 It's me, okay. It's me. And so I'll own, I'll own why I'm so, that's why I'm so pissed because I have very, it's cool, we all sat through that. It was great. They got, they bought dinner for us. They did.
Starting point is 00:13:23 They bought dinner for whatever. I had, we had I had to It's not a fan of that here's a day because we're we're we're talking in You know what's what's the word I'm looking for like right now with everybody so people in mind But we're listening to like what the fuck are they talking about? Okay, so yeah, yeah set the table here So here's what happened so Adam it's been a little while ago. Let's us know that long time It's been it's been the works for like months now. It's been a little while ago, let's us know that. Oh, it's a long time ago. It's been the works for months now. It's been the works for months.
Starting point is 00:13:46 But there was a supplement company that had said that they were interested in working with MindPump. Now, we had our own ideas of what we wanted to do. And we thought maybe they'd come to us and say, hey, we want to sponsor you guys if you promote our supplements. We actually looked through their supplements and didn't really like most of their products, mainly because a lot of the products were sweetened
Starting point is 00:14:11 with artificial sweeteners, which we talked shit about all day long. And we have to really believe in what we're doing. So our idea was that we're going to go meet with these people and we're going to see if they're interested in developing a product according to our guidelines and letting us partner with them in it. Because we're not about, you know,
Starting point is 00:14:28 we're not trying to be sponsored by anybody. We want to make a product with someone who can manufacture and do that whole deal. Well, let me back you up a little bit too first, is so when we did our research on this company, not only did we see that, you know, okay, there's some of the products that we were not sure we could stand by, maybe there was a few
Starting point is 00:14:43 that we could stand by that we liked that they've got a pretty killer protein, whatever, even though it is business. Exactly. What I was really, and this was before I even brought, before I even brought it to these guys. So let me give you guys a little bit of history of me. So my stepfather and pops, I know if you're listening, this is not, hopefully you don't take offense.
Starting point is 00:15:02 It's going to sting. Yeah, dad's going to sting a little bit. So for the burn my my my my stepfather has done almost every MLM multi-level marketing But they don't call that anymore. What they call it does? Network network. So which is we got schooled in the 70s. It was called a fucking pyramid scheme. Okay, so um, and yes, and I know I know we because I know we have tens of thousands of plus of listeners. So I know there's somebody who's listening to this right now
Starting point is 00:15:27 that I'm offending that has, that is in a part of one of these companies, okay? It's our first time offending one of our listeners. Well, exactly. We have things. Please don't stop listening just because I have such a pay-up passion for house, too, but I think they are.
Starting point is 00:15:40 So here's the deal is, my dad, of course, he's known for a very long time that I've had influence on people underneath me Especially in the fitness industry and so he's done a lot of these wellness ones like the monovies and the supplements the energy drinks and the bars and Every other fucking company that we can talk shit about now because monovies out of business Yeah, fuck you well exactly so and here's the thing expensive juice like I told my dad I said listen dad, I will never join one of these things, ever, ever, ever in my life. I said, but I said, I would start one of these with you.
Starting point is 00:16:11 I got no problem creating one of me at the top of one. It's common knowledge that if you're among the originators, the first, you know, levels, you make a shitload of money. Or everybody's working for you after that. Yeah, and then it just once you go down from there, it's nothing. I mean, I think Doug knows somebody, personally, that makes a nice paycheck. You're shitload of money. It's what he's working for you after. Yeah, and then it just once you go down from there, it's nothing. I mean, I think Doug knows somebody, and personally that makes it a nice paycheck,
Starting point is 00:16:29 but he was one of the first adopters. Early adopters, yeah. Early adopters, and also look, we're not just some Joe Schmo off the streets. You're gonna come up and you wanna bring us in on, you know, we're not gonna be wowed by your, you know, your money and like how successful you personally are.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Well, it's so, it's beyond this. This is the part where I guess, and I know this is my ego, okay. So I'm very, I'm fully aware of my issues. So I, you know, I get, I get, I feel so disrespected when, when somebody comes at me with one of these things because I'm not somebody that would join one. I'm somebody that would create one though. I would create one or I would align myself with one and be making a ton of it because to me,
Starting point is 00:17:10 I'm already worth more than that. So if you're gonna acquire me like that, to just slide it. And once again, I know this is my ego thinking and then this is me getting all butt hurt over somebody not recognizing my talent and thinking that I'm just gonna be some dude who's gonna come in the bottom and work my ass off for you. No, bro, I worked my ass off to get where I'm at doing what I'm doing.
Starting point is 00:17:30 100% reaping all of the benefits of what you've already built and established and not even recognizing. Well, they came out, we sat down with them, we were eating, and they came at us with the same exact proposal they would come out, anybody with. That's where I felt so disinsected. Let me give our listeners a little taste of this. This is how Sal and I worked together when we were in meetings like this.
Starting point is 00:18:01 Just like the synergy that we have on the radio station, we naturally have that with each other in a meeting. And what's great is because we all have the same vision. We don't always still say play the role. So I know most of the time the cell plays the nerd and I play the asshole, Justin plays the quiet smart guy, but it doesn't always play out that way. And sometimes we, one of us is a good cop. The other one's bad cop, but what's great is we can all play off of each other really well.
Starting point is 00:18:22 And the way this meeting went, before this meeting happened, Sal and I were talking to each other, and he was all Mr. excited and pro this and pro the, or I was all, excuse me, I was all excited about pro meeting with this company, and he was like, nah, nah, nah, all these regulations and rules. There's no way we're partnering up with somebody and let's this, this, this, and this, and he always,
Starting point is 00:18:41 and I'm like, bro, bro, we gotta be a little flexible and all of the money. Well, then we get to this meeting. And so Sal is the first one to talk. And they, and so he started, the guy starts explaining his, his proteins and how great it is and given his whole M.O. Spam and Sal is getting into the nerdy science side. And he's engaging this guy and he, he looks very interested in what these guys have to say.
Starting point is 00:19:00 And you could tell they feel like he's, he's all excited. So I'm just sitting there quiet, just listening, going like, okay, I guess I'm going to be the asshole. So I know these motherfuckers don't like you delivered by friend. So probably 20 minutes went by this guy's spiel of sal going back and forth. Well, you got to understand. First, I started asking the questions because I was genuinely interested, but about five minutes into his explanation, I knew he did not know. Well, that's the, that's what he was talking about when he got his eyes out of you.
Starting point is 00:19:29 That's a Jedi side of you, but what on the surface or whatever they all sees. Oh, they're thinking, yeah. Yeah, he looks really engaged and he's excited about this and he knows his stuff. And so this could be going good with it. So this guy keeps going on, you know, and I'm just getting angry.
Starting point is 00:19:42 But I know what Sal was doing because we hadn't even received dinner at that point Yeah, so like dude, we don't want to feel like yeah, exactly We had a feel the time here until I get my my steak and the fish and oh God put it in my belly then we can let the the bees which by the way that bone marrow dish or whatever god damn That was good. Oh my see pass was. All two bites of it was amazing. It wasn't much. We ended up going to sushi afterwards.
Starting point is 00:20:07 That's a problem though. We had dinner after dinner, right? Quality stuff, it's always tiny portions. So I finally find. And I knew you were, you know what? I knew you were gonna do the asshole part and I'll tell you why. Because as I'm talking to the dude, the main dude,
Starting point is 00:20:20 you are complete, you're like, you're talking to someone else. You're like off in the corner, like you don't even give shit and I'm like Adam's gonna he's gonna chime in with some dick shit I love it yeah that's just I just waiting you were just waiting you just like few me I just felt the heat coming off his shoulder yeah so yeah so I finally chimed in and I did I played the role of I really don't give a shit about your company and all the great things about it. I'm thinking to do for us. Yeah, what are you gonna do for us and our brand
Starting point is 00:20:49 and what we've built? And you know, basically he just backpedaled and circled the wagon back to tell me how great his product was. He actually had the nerve to tell me that, well, we were gonna build you this cool website. He was like, and I'm like,
Starting point is 00:21:02 dude, it took everything within me. That just burst out. Well, what Justin did really, and this is where we all worked so great together is, so Sal was being nice, then I come through and I dropped the hammer and I'm a total dick and almost, I'm disrespectful, it's to where Justin Chimes and afterwards
Starting point is 00:21:19 kind of softened the blow. Like, you know what Adam's trying to say? Yeah. He says, well, what is where he's coming from? Yeah. I just want to explain a little bit of backstory behind that. Because we hadn't gotten our food exactly. Yeah. I was like, okay, this is little too early. Let's wait.
Starting point is 00:21:35 Yeah. You know, I just, I don't know. Look, look, look, the bottom line, like, if we're going to, if we're going to come out with a product, a, we have to really believe in it. Okay. We do. I'm not going to sell something that you say is awesome, but there's nothing supporting it. There's no science supporting it. And when I try to get into the details about, and I'm not a fucking scientist, I'm not. I'm a dude that likes to read. But if I ask you some questions of shit that I understand myself, and you're the one promoting your supplement, you're the one that represents it.
Starting point is 00:22:05 And you're throwing words out because they sound nice but they don't go together. And I understand that immediately I'm like, I'm like, okay, this isn't good. Number two, this gotta be, we have a brand that we wanna build, we wanna partner with someone. We don't want to work for someone.
Starting point is 00:22:23 We haven't worked for someone in fucking years. I've been an entrepreneur for, since I was 22 years old. I'm not looking to work for anybody, you know, unless you give me fuck you money. If I get fuck you money, then maybe I'll consider it. Well, I feel like, you know what I'm saying? I hate to, you know, say this, but like, I honestly feel like he probably just kind of thought that, oh, whatever, you know, like we're almost on the level of sheep when he's talking to wolves. Oh, this is exactly. We are fucking wolves.
Starting point is 00:22:51 This is recognized. Well, this is exactly how I believe this played out. I just pictured that t-shirt with the freaking moon in the background, like three wolves. My best friend was wearing that this week. No, he wasn't. He ordered that.
Starting point is 00:23:01 He has that shirt. He rocks it. We were just talking about that shirt. That's hilarious. You just brought that shirt. That's hilarious. You just brought that up. That's hilarious. Yeah, the three wolves in the moon. And the freaking moon.
Starting point is 00:23:09 How about the moon? Yeah, I'm not really a wolf. He talks about how that's a power shirt. Well, so here's some nice, I'm like a donkey. Here's how I know how this went down. And I think this is what made us all irritated and made me even more so irritated. So the person who connected us to this company
Starting point is 00:23:22 is a good buddy of mine. I got mad love for this dude. And I know he was looking out for our best interest because is a good buddy of mine. I got mad love for this dude. And I know he was looking out for our best interest because he's a buddy of mine. You know, he ain't trying to make a buck off of me or anything like that. He's a good friend. He's a huge mine pump fan.
Starting point is 00:23:33 He's listening to every single one of our episodes. He's gonna listen to this one. He's probably gonna feel a little bad, but you know what? And then it's all up. We love you bro. But yeah, without putting his name out there, but I got mad love for you, bro.
Starting point is 00:23:43 And I know that you were looking out for us and it and no harm No foul type of deal because I know that what he did was because I explained to him. I said, you know, hey, bro I hate MLMs So and I know this company is I have zero interest in it unless someone and we had the episode that we just recently played where we talked All about what we have expectations. He listened to that right away, and I know that he tried to give that, yeah, prep those guys on how we felt. Now, what made me so mad is I know my buddy did all this work, and what I feel what happened is this guy was just like,
Starting point is 00:24:17 oh yeah, yeah, yeah, don't worry. I got it. Because he thinks he's that fucking good that he's gonna come in and sit down with a couple dudes like us, and get us all excited about making fucking millions of dollars and close us on joining this fucking MLM.
Starting point is 00:24:30 And that to me is just disrespectful because then I figured out you probably haven't even listened to our fucking radio show because if you listen to our radio show. Oh, you know right away. Yeah, you would. No, he didn't listen because remember he's like, he was talking to us, he's like,
Starting point is 00:24:40 look, the kind of people we're looking for, we don't like loose cannons. And when he said that, we didn't get rid of this guy. I'm like, whoa. Yeah, I have like, look, the kind of people we're looking for, we don't like loose cannons. And when he said that, We didn't get rid of this guy. I'm like, whoa. Yeah. I have like, have you listened to our show? Yeah, because we're basically, that's what we are. We're cannons that are loose.
Starting point is 00:24:52 We talk shit, and we're very vocal. That's our job. Yeah. Just like right now. Yeah, so I think that's why I was so, I was, I was infuriated last night. I just don't, I don't do well with situations like that I feel like I give a I give people a lot of respect Especially when you talk about other business men and women
Starting point is 00:25:10 You know I'm saying like what like I mean this weekend. We're gonna be at a private party where there's gonna be a bunch of CEOs and Professional athletes this and that like you know the way I would conduct myself around everybody It was nothing but respect and with humility and right, you know when you I'm not gonna come out flash and you know How successful I am or or trying to sell anybody who, I'm there to like learn about people and listen and. You know, there's, there's something when you're talking to somebody and, you know, within a minute, they're telling you, they're, they're talking about things that demonstrate how much money they have.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Like, oh, you know, I was just, I was just all over the world yesterday and I just bought this new car. I would check out Tony Gwinn. Yeah, check out this picture with blah, blah, blah. Oh, you know, when you're making 50 grand a week, I mean, when people talk like that to me, I instantly think to myself, A, either you're full of shit, because, or B, you didn't earn that money,
Starting point is 00:26:00 or C, you're just an asshole. Because truly successful people, they don't sit there and tell you about all the shit all of them. That's shit like that. It's the same mentality that people with the sunglasses inside. Yeah, let's be honest. Unless you're in a lot of drugs and put on the sunglasses. That's why, if I'm high, I'm in exception.
Starting point is 00:26:18 I will be caught every once in a while. So if you ever catch me and I got sunglasses on, and it's in a minute's store or something like that, that's why I don't want to. In a store. Yeah. I will. I will wear the movies. The only time you'll ever see what that is if I decided that like if it's a weekend and I happen to smoke in the middle of the day and I'm walking out I'm like, oh, Shay, I go to Target. Like I don't want the little girl that's gonna be blitzed out of my mind. So I'll
Starting point is 00:26:38 be I'll be the cool guy. I'll be the cool guy with shades on. You know, she wants to. I'd rather be the cool guy with shades on. I really want to be the cool guy with shades on the douchebag than they got the stoner. Adam, she won. She wasn't, she doesn't, first of all, you're sometimes, you're sunglasses make you look like your stone because you're wearing sunglasses in the store. And then because you bought five packs of Starbursts and two bags of Doritos, they know, okay?
Starting point is 00:26:59 They know. Oh, cool ranch. No, I don't know, man. Yeah, it gets on my nerves. I mean, we really, we really are interested in getting in, you know, all facets of the fitness industry. Supplementation is a big part of it, but we have high standards. And we need to be open with our listeners because, look, if we're going to sell something,
Starting point is 00:27:22 you know that we are vouching for it, which means we have ownership in it, and it's a product that we believe in, because, I mean, we couldn't bullshit if we tried. You know what I'm saying? That was the other thing too. And that one, which we also explained to him is that, and this is part of the part where I went off on was that when he was explaining how we can make
Starting point is 00:27:41 all this money doing this, and I'm like, I looked back at him, I actually finished. I said, do you not think that we know that? Do you not think that we already know that we can make a ton of money off of selling supplements? We all know that. We have enough people that listen and that would follow whatever advice
Starting point is 00:27:56 that we gave him related to that. That's the whole thing about what we're all about, though, is keeping that integrity and finding something that we believe in and putting out product that's cutting edge and new and stuff that's better than what anybody else has out there and taking care of our people. Like, we don't want to just fall into that. Let's sponsor get sponsored by someone.
Starting point is 00:28:11 I would have accepted all the the freaking tons that have already came my way over the last two years, but I didn't for a reason. So, you know, we're not going to sell out now. And especially now, it would have been a lot. I was more tempted two years ago when I was trying to build the business and coming up and not making any money and stuff and then people are first giving you attention But now we sure shit ain't kind of saw it was funny is halfway through like the whole meeting or whatever and you know None of us are communicating with each other. We're just it cuz we're all out in the open we're talking to everybody
Starting point is 00:28:36 me and Adam get up and get the bathroom or whatever Suzy look at you in the bathroom both look at each other like this is bowl shit, and that text you guys bathroom both look at each other like this is bullshit. And then it texted you guys. New we started talking shit and text and I love it. I think it texted you like that little emoticon of like a poop or something like that. I honestly, the fart the last 15, 20 minutes of this. I totally like was tuned out. I was talking to other people on my camera already over this dude.
Starting point is 00:28:59 Yeah. So I'm you have to repeat three words over and over and over again. Yeah. We're lexical lessons. I don't, I can't, we can't see this. No, everybody, then they'll know what company it is. Exactly. You're like, we're just gonna, but that's what I'm trying to get at. I will repeat this.
Starting point is 00:29:13 I will repeat this. There was one thing he was saying to me, and I, I was so hard for me not to fucking laugh. He was talking about a recovery supplement. And I'm like, well, tell me about this recovery supplement because the protein was kind of out of the question for us because like I said, it was flavored by sucralose. So I said, well, we're not gonna say anything
Starting point is 00:29:29 that's flavored with sucralose. So I said, well, tell me about this recovery supplement and it goes, well, it's got electrolytes. It's got electrolytes. It's got electrolytes. And I'm like, it's got turmeric. And it's got electrolytes. And I'm like, it's got turmeric. It's got turmeric and it's got electrolytes. He kept'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like,
Starting point is 00:29:45 and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like,
Starting point is 00:29:53 and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like,
Starting point is 00:30:00 and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, and I'm like, Yeah, I love that movie. It's got electrolytes. It's got electrolytes. Test your electrolytes. My favorite was on the spin of on how the ladder works. So like, when you first come into this,
Starting point is 00:30:10 you make 2% commission on all the sales. And then your second level of your downline, you then jump up to 25%. And the reason why, no, yeah, tell the reason. No, I think it went from two to 12, then to 25, right? You're right, you're right. You're right, 12, then to 25, right? You're right. You're right. Two, 12.
Starting point is 00:30:26 So, and the reason why we only give people 2% commission is has nothing to do with the fact that only 98% of the people stick with the company and keep going and grow with it. It has nothing to do with that. It has everything to do with that we want our people to focus on the other people because we're about moving people. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no're about moving people. No, no, no. That was my favorite. Oh, it's a lie.
Starting point is 00:30:46 Do it the lie. He goes guys. He goes guys. I'm not about moving money. I'm about moving people. And yeah, to talk to this. I know. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:30:58 You got to wait with the other one. The famous one is, you know, I'm like, you know, I'm in the business of changing lives. Yeah. No, no, no, like, like crickets. Yeah, after that. Like, like, they was like some big like monument thing. Well, next day we have a sales meeting like that, where we're trying to close this.
Starting point is 00:31:13 We're bringing like our trophies and shit. We're just gonna bring them to the table. We're just gonna set them to the table to, oh, don't mind this. Yeah. I, you know, and listen, here's the thing, if you're a good salesperson, we'll probably buy shit from you
Starting point is 00:31:24 because we were speaking to you. Absolutely, we'll appreciate it. I'm totally,, if you're a good salesperson, we'll probably buy shit from you because we were speaking. Absolutely, we'll appreciate. But if you're doing the 1992 Tom Hopkins sales, please, wouldn't you agree? That whole kind of thing is like, I've had car salesmen do that to me. And I finished their studies for them. I kind of feel bad because we were there
Starting point is 00:31:44 and I was pissed that we were there that whole time. But finished or said it's for me. I kind of feel, nah, I don't feel bad because we were there and I was pissed that we were there that whole time. But it's so good. They're probably good people. We don't know them. Oh yeah, they're probably good people. We're not gonna say the name. They just, they're just not on the league.
Starting point is 00:31:54 Yeah, they didn't know that though. That was the frustrating part. It was like sitting through like a beginner course of sales and getting your entry into some business. You could, it's like leading the carrot for us, like we want that carrot. No, no, no, no, no, no. You want our big motherfucking carrot right here between my legs. I'm gonna get it.
Starting point is 00:32:19 Put it away. I feel like the hot chick at the dance. You can't even nibble on what you dance with. It does look like a carrot, too. It's kind of tapers at the end. It's got that weird, little weird hood. It's orange, which you need to be careful with. It's really weird that you know that.
Starting point is 00:32:30 Yeah. If you're watching me pee. Yep. Yep. Yep. Gotta take these breaks and you're always running. What do you mean have I been watching? You've been in every single time.
Starting point is 00:32:40 I'm like, oh, God, sorry guys. Oh, yeah, oh, me too. Hey, did you guys get your outfits? My outfits? Yeah. For the Saturday? Yeah. Oh, I'm fucking, dude, I'm dial, bro. You guys are greased up, huh? Yeah, so nobody sent me any pictures.
Starting point is 00:32:52 So let me tell you what I got. Why didn't want to? Because you know, we're all gonna show up like, like gangster. So let me tell you what I got, right? Oh, wow. So you know slacks, right? Well, first, explain to these guys.
Starting point is 00:33:02 We're going to a party this week in Saturday, right? Saturday. Which you guys are all invited to Friday. If you guys can find us on Friday, we'll be out about Palo Alto. So I'm going to be what we are. I forgot about that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:11 Let me write that down. Yeah. So I forget everything. So we, so I, you know, you know, the material slacks we made out of. So I got shorts made out of that. And I got suspenders of bow tie. I'm just kidding. It's all of bow tie. I'm just kidding.
Starting point is 00:33:25 It's all soft. No, I'm just kidding. Actually, do you say any word? I'm like disappointed if you don't. Bow ties are cool though, they're not bad. You're gonna rock it? No, I just got, bro, I got, I'm not gonna say anything.
Starting point is 00:33:35 I'm just gonna surprise everybody. You sissy down on the bow tie. I like the bow tie. I know, I did too. I was like, I'm gonna surprise you. That's so sad. It is. I was hoping we all had our, our personas.
Starting point is 00:33:44 Adam, are you gonna wear tennis shoes? I might actually no you're not I'm not what tennis shoes with a suit Do you wear tennis shoes with the suit? I would is that a lot I could you can you can when it when the sneakers are more expensive than most people suits Yeah, he knows about that shoe game I just that's the only time you you can you cannot be a douchebag who wears like some you know Some Nike air supreme's are with some like a suit. You can't like a pair of 70 dollars Air Force ones. Yeah, they need to be like a rare pair of like freaking like I have shoes that have gold laces that are like 24 care gold on the laces, you know my easy's are You know you can wear you can wear stuff like that with that, but you only can wear stuff like that So but I'm not gonna do that. I'm just kidding around. I wouldn't I wouldn't do that
Starting point is 00:34:24 But I would I gonna do that. I'm just kidding around. I wouldn't do that, but I would. I would, I've done it. You know, he's basically gonna look like Kanye West. The reason why I won't do it, to be honest with you, the reason why I won't do it, is because probably have to goddamn athletes there, what we do. I know, I don't wanna try and look like him. That's total assholes.
Starting point is 00:34:36 That's not me, is to try and look like everybody else. So I'd rather be, I mean, I would do that when I'm with all my buddies and we're going somewhere, and I'm the only one doing that. But there, and shit, all the day. Well, we're gonna go afterwards, right? We need, I mean, after we need to go out too. Dude, you sound like a little 20 year old.
Starting point is 00:34:49 You're so excited to go out. Guys, guys, guys, did you get a hall pass or something? I don't know about that. Hold on a second. Justin is just as excited as that. Yeah, I know, I am. I just said, I love that you're getting the heat for it. Because we're fucking married, bro.
Starting point is 00:34:58 We got kids. We don't fucking go out, bro. We don't. Well, I feel like, oh, you know what I call a day, I go out. Yeah. Wednesday, you know what I mean? No. We don't go out,'m like, oh you know what I call a day I go out. Wednesday, you know what I mean? No, we don't go out dude. I don't either but that's why I honestly like, I'm gonna hold man bro, I'm going there to network and shit.
Starting point is 00:35:13 No, no, I'm talking about afterwards. I know you are, if it turns into a part of it. We're gonna do that too and then Sal and I, we're gonna put our goggles on and get down and boogie. Yeah, I just feel like somebody must have got a hell of a haul pass because you guys keep asking me like crazy Like what do we do? We're gonna stay at the end of this party. Yeah, where's it?
Starting point is 00:35:29 We have to party yet. Should I get a babysitter for the next day too? I can't wait to you guys see Doug drunk. It's the best thing ever. Yes. Oh, dude. He's even got to do him like, like, my own. No, no, I want to do when we get really, when we get him really wasted. I want us to play like a little like a hackie sack with him.
Starting point is 00:35:44 We'll toss him. Like, like a hoty sack with them. We'll toss it. Like a hot potato. We'll play hot potato. Hot potato. Hot potato. Let me tell you something. You make it. Dustin. No, you make these jokes. This is he's one of the strongest fuckers. I know, especially for a side. I just get a turn on you. He's about to he's about to deadly 405. He only wait. How much do you wait, Doug? You go to pick 154 pounds and he's getting close to a 405 pound.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Tossing around like, how potato has nothing to do with his strength. I can toss around a hundred pounds. You just a good time. You wrestle a fucking 150 pound chimp and that thing will rip you on right out of your socket. That's done. He'll grab your ass and rip your ass. I think you just upgraded his nickname I think we can now retire spinner and now chip no chimpy. Just chimpy. Yeah, it's up The new the new we're gonna chimp on that's how we roll dude
Starting point is 00:36:34 We don't keep nicknames for a long time. We just we fucking move on yeah, so that way you know about time You gotta stay current with mine pumps. You gotta know what's up. What's this? What's right? We're on to chimpy now. I got a new nickname for you, Adam. Wow, I like Wizard. I'm over there. Yeah, I know. It's a new one. I feel like Wizard's new one.
Starting point is 00:36:49 Well, I mean, Wizard's good, but we can call him Cautcaps. Cautcaps? Cautcaps. Could you call Vainey and Cautcaps? Yeah, you just have a kind of a through-biting. Cautcaps. Is there a reason why you haven't sent me that picture yet? I haven't filtered it yet.
Starting point is 00:37:03 So Sal and I did a little calf picture right here to show our what we're going to do. We're going to be a split calf. Our look. If we do, we do a calf off. We both have a theory on who's doing BFR better. And I think I'm doing BFR better than he is. So we'll let the listeners be the judge on who's BFR.
Starting point is 00:37:22 Okay, so I'm looking at the picture. I'm studying the picture. Wait. I'm studying the picture. I'm studying the picture. Here's the, here's a deal. So you have because more veins. You have, you have, you're definitely vaniere and, I'm hairier, but because my calf is actually bigger, yours looks bigger.
Starting point is 00:37:40 It doesn't, it doesn't make sense, but. I said that. I said that. I said that should already. I said I don't really like it posted out. I doesn't make sense. But in that case, in that shit already, say that I want to measure them. Do with the tape measure. It's going to be more discouraging for you. The picture already said to do the pictures worth a thousand. No, no, we're going to measure them and then we're going to use our height
Starting point is 00:37:56 and we're going to see how much calf size we have. I'm going to put both of my calves on your face. Trust me, trust me, I'm going to figure out a formula that's going to make my calves bigger than yours. Bro, I'm, I am, I am super proud of these things. And I'm not figure out a formula that's gonna be by half bigger the doors. Bro, I'm super proud of these things and I'm not kidding you. You can't, you're not in the contest. You're not in the contest fucking Justin. Hey, I literally do is like jump rope for a week.
Starting point is 00:38:15 For at least 28 years of my life, I was teased about my calves. And in the last year and a half, I've actually got compliments on them, which is like, to me, that is the best feeling in the world. To go from being teased about something because it was something that I couldn't, we're so stubborn, it would never grow, to actually get compliments, legitimate compliments. Like, people that I don't know, like saying that, I don't know anything about my calf complex, coming out and being like, hey, you got great calves. What do you do?
Starting point is 00:38:42 Like, fuck yes. That's awesome. And then you know what I say? I just been born with him. Nobody said, nobody called me in on my calves yet though. Fuck. I, you know what, I got made fun of skinny legs. You know, I would have you guys, you know, you guys,
Starting point is 00:38:55 fucking talk about him so much. Like you guys should like make some kind of jewelry for your calves, right? Oh, shit. But jazzle, you're fucking calves. You might, you might, I think you might just, I think you just came up with a new product. Cav Jazzle, and Cav Jazzle. Cav Jazzle, Cav Jazzle you're fucking cap you might you might I think you might just I think you just came up with a new product Kav jazzling Kav jazzle. Yeah, I've jazzled have jazzle
Starting point is 00:39:08 Right while you're a little bell on it like Look at my thing in cash while you're far away while you're doing far Lexi where your cap jazzles We get to be careful with all this good stuff for putting out there Somebody's gonna make millions of dollars. We're not gonna get a cent for it. Yeah, fuck because it we should a non-disclosure When you sign in you sign in we have a non-disclosure when you sign in. When you sign in, we should just not disclose that shit. Yeah. Until next time, this is MindPom.
