Starting point is 00:00:00 my voice with microphone. I woke up. The surge of energy just came through. I felt it come from my loins. All the way through the balls area. Yeah, it worked its way up through my stomach and into my chest and then, blah!
Starting point is 00:00:10 It came out. You know what? Most of the things that come out of your mouth come out of your balls first. He started from my loins. Yeah, so. Gentlemen. What's up, Doug?
Starting point is 00:00:18 You know, we ran a review contest here, and it's over. What? Yes, all done. Okay, we have winners. We do have a lot of winners. Three, right? Is that what we're What? Yes, all done. Okay, we have winners. We do have a lot of winners. Three, right? Is that what we're doing? Three winners, yes.
Starting point is 00:00:29 Three winners. Except what? We have two extras. Look at you. What do you mean two extra? Yeah, this guy's such a nice guy. You know, this over-delivering thing, I'm so obsessed. I think he's trying to win over our audience, Sal.
Starting point is 00:00:40 Well, you know, I've got to do something. He's being a nice guy. I think he is. Mr. Cut off all the sales and then I was getting a lot of... Yeah be honest, I can't lie anymore. Yeah, it would happen. Before we start the show, Doug picked three winners, and me and Adam have been begging him to throw out two more winners. And he's like, no, being an asshole.
Starting point is 00:00:54 How dare you, you're like glory, man. You were still gonna steal his thunder. Yeah, come on. Throw me in the back. I'm gonna throw you in the back. I'm gonna throw you in the back. I'm gonna throw you in the back. I'm gonna throw you in the back. I'm gonna throw you in the back. I'm gonna throw you in the back. I'm gonna throw you? You're still gonna steal thunder. Yeah, come on. Throw me a bone boy.
Starting point is 00:01:10 That's that. Totally. No, this is my idea. This was my idea. This is yours. I'm going to send these things out anyway. So who won? Who won? Yeah, let's talk about who won. I don't like that one Beautiful so Next one up is war Jay and now war Jay if I think everybody should go read his he actually apologizes That one was yeah, that's the one because he thought that we were gonna be like a bunch of bros? Lots of meat heads, you know? And then you realize that we're,
Starting point is 00:02:30 you know, I wanna say, we are meat heads. I do, I wanna say something to me. This, this just happened to me the other day. Somebody walked up to me at OTF. I wonder how many people this really happens to. I love, so what was his name again? War J. War J, super appreciate that review.
Starting point is 00:02:45 Because you know what, like, there's so many people that this happens to, because I mean, Sal totally comes off like a bro. I come a lot more educated and stuff, but, you know, the Justin's really quiet. So a lot of these guys just think where they're like these idiot jocks, you know? Yeah, cuz that's me.
Starting point is 00:03:01 Yeah, I'm totally a jock. But, you know, and we do, a lot of times, I realize that we, if you go back and listen to more episodes, you know, we put sometimes there's 10, 15 minutes at the beginning where we don't really talk about anything, but masturbating, especially Sal, when he gets on that, he goes, he can go for a good 10 minutes on that. So it's nice to have somebody tell you about my session earlier. So I appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:03:24 Well, that was my favorite because I think a lot that probably happens to a lot of people. So thank you, man. Thanks. That shirts from me. Just saying. Excellent. Next is Alex rentaria. In a baseball player. Maybe it could be. Hey, nothing. Sal would know. No, no idea. I mean, touchdowns are made. I'm gonna touch down to the mic. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:03:46 And the final one, Sal Morgolo. Oh, that's a forum member. It's my boy. What's up, Sal? All right. I like your name. So five shirts, what we need from you is your size.
Starting point is 00:04:00 And your size. Yeah, your shirt size. Yeah, so messages on the Instagram page, the size and then where we can, and you can find us at MindPump, and where we send the shirt to. Hey, speaking of that, why we're talking about Instagram.
Starting point is 00:04:13 We haven't done this in a long time, and we all have so many listeners on MindPump, and we have less followers on Instagram. Yeah, get on there and follow us, make us popular. Yeah, you guys can find us on Instagram at the MindPump at Instagram, but you can also find all our personal pages too, so you guys can find us on Instagram at the Mind Pump at Instagram,

You can find myself at Mind Pump Atom, you can find Justin at Mind Pump Justin, and you can find Doug at Mind Pump Doug. So make sure you guys get on there, follow you guys can see us a lot.

You can see us with all the banter's right, that's right. If you go on Salah, mine just- He can't start a trend. You can see us with all the banter between people that get on our pages and try and talk shit. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:04:50 If you wanna pump your body and expand your mind, there's only one place to go. Mind, hop, mind, hop, with your hosts. Salda, Stephanie, Adam, Shaefer, and Justin Andrews. Hey guys, let me tell you what happened. No, I'm not ready. We don't want to hear your story No, I gotta tell you what happened. No, nobody cares. No, no, this is a good one about what? There's someone that cares No, it's just there's point. I like like go ahead. Tell there's just three people what happened So some dude today came up to me at gold and gave me a really good compliment
Starting point is 00:05:20 I do yeah, he came up to me before you before you go right here Yeah, awesome glutes when a dude complements another dude That's like 10 female complements. It is that is true. It is it takes more point. Yeah, I prefer a straight Yeah, no a gay man to no the game is easy The game has a second girl out coming over and compliment just trying to hit on you Yeah, yeah, so really straight man can low hanging fruit. I don't know. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. They agree. It's low hanging so I was he straight. Yeah. No, it was a straight dude comes up to me didn't speaking this very well. He was a Mexican dude
Starting point is 00:05:54 And he goes, uh, you know, what he says said something like you have the perfect body. That's what I want to look like What can I do? And so he's asking me questions and it made me something. That he was gay. No, it made me realize that I was gay. Because I was like, you want to see more of this part? I really, yeah. It made me realize that I should get the oil now. I mean, you realize how effective the maps program is. That shit keeps working. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:06:18 By keeps working, I'm 36 year old. I look better than I did when I was 35. You know what I'm saying? It keeps working. Mindpumpradio You know what I'm saying? It keeps working Mind pump radio dot com radio. He just made your own commercial. It's it gets the dudes I'm on land. That's how we're gonna start these these mind pumps now You want you want a dude to come up to and tell you have a perfect body and you're a guy of course Yeah, that's yeah, the shit keeps work. I keep improving and Side note, you know why I love you guys so much
Starting point is 00:06:45 Because you guys talk shit like I do like in other words you know those are those guys that you could talk shit to but they get offended If you push it too hard. Yeah, you guys don't get offended. No, we rip each other. Why would you get offended? I mean that's the easy way out right? Did you see me and Adam's little text back and forth about about legs and shit like that But well you guys have stepped up your your're shit talking to like, you know, depth, depth, conflives. Oh, we're there. Yeah. It's like, it's like a verbal assault.
Starting point is 00:07:12 Well, let me break it down. I don't talk shit about, to Adam about his biceps or his chastors back or anything else or his calves and shoulders or his, his, he'll beat me, right? Or his, he'll beat me on that shit. Bunch everything. But, but there's two areas I will talk shit about legs and hair. My hair is not falling out. And I was a little bit lucky. That was a low blow.
Starting point is 00:07:37 I'm going to get you later on the show today. Just so you know, y'all know the thickest in the bunch. Look at all that hair. It's silver. It's a lot of hair. Silver. Do you see this, bro? Look at.
Starting point is 00:07:50 What happened? Is it in the beard now? Bro, you got like six white hairs in the beard. Oh, welcome to the club. I was gonna keep this going. I've found a white pub yet. No, you, what about you Justin? Yeah, I found snow, like, damn.
Starting point is 00:07:59 It's weird to see a white pub. It keeps up on you. That might be weird. Because nothing makes you the gold or feel old like like silver Silver bush Silver mills you don't want silver bush I'm depressed right now. I was why you depressed. I was just telling you how depressed I was over the thinning thinning hair
Starting point is 00:08:22 I just fucked and then I grow the beard out and that, yeah, you did. That was a dig, bro. Don't worry, I'm gonna get you. Oh, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just,
Starting point is 00:08:34 I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just,
Starting point is 00:08:43 I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I these. So we're just going back and forth and I'm telling him, I'm just talking shit about his legs and he's like, oh, and I told him he doesn't like, so Adam doesn't like to do front squats. I gotta have to tell everybody about that because I like to poke at you about that. So he's saying he does, he's joking with me, he's saying he does leg extensions,
Starting point is 00:08:56 he'll beat me with leg extensions. So I'm trying to give him some advice. And then he says, You guys should have a sissy squat off. And then this is what he says, you may build the faster car, but what I am done, what I am done, I will have the prettier one.
Starting point is 00:09:08 I'm like, I don't have to talk shit, you just do it. Actually, that was hilarious, but I was in the gym just dying. I was cracking up. I was too. You know, it's funny, the only time I don't do so well and I'm sick right now. So, that's when you get a little hurt.
Starting point is 00:09:25 Yes, my two best friends were messing with me. And I text you about it, but I went off on them because there's only a couple of things that really, there's only a couple of ways you can get in. I, you can tease me about everything, make, give me a hard time, but I take a lot of pride in a couple of things. And one of those things-
Starting point is 00:09:43 Penis length? Yeah, exactly. Yeah, don't know about a penis things and one of those things. Penis length? Yeah, exactly. Yeah, don't know a lot of spinis length. Yeah, penis length. And no, it's work ethic. I can't miss with that. I take a lot of pride in being somebody who works really hard and when someone makes jabs at me or tries to say shit,
Starting point is 00:09:56 like, oh, you don't work hard or give me that stuff, the reason why I'm sick is exactly like when my girl says, oh, that's what you get. She's like, that's what you get because you're working non-stop Not you know soon as the sun comes up sun goes down you never stop and even when you leave town or you're supposed to On vacation you're still on the computer you're still on your phone you're still working so they were talking to calling you Dude I hear you on that one hard percent right like did I mean I got hives I'm working my ass off so hard right? Yeah, it's just like dude somebody tries to call me out like that if like somebody even like
Starting point is 00:10:28 Wait, we gotta rewind a second I'm fucking rassy and you work so hard you work so hard you got you guys Hives do you know I'm working too hard? Or they just came out of nowhere dude you went to another level bro that's like fuck I'm telling you to me Bro, that's like fuck. I'm telling you. To me, that is, that is like, and I think Sal's the same way too,
Starting point is 00:10:49 and I'm sure Doug is. I think we all take a lot, that's why we all mesh very well. So if they can talk shit about anything, but if they say you're lazy. Yeah, they're gonna be. And even if you just say I'm lazy, I'll just laugh.
Starting point is 00:10:58 But if you try and like, if you keep digging at me and stuff like that and trying to say like, you work way harder than me, this and that, then I'm gonna eventually get you and I totally like, lashashed on my best friend. My best friends are like my family. They go all the way back to such kids,
Starting point is 00:11:08 so, which is probably why they do that shit because they know that gets me, and that pisses me off. Of course it's like that. And I'm sick, bro. So that's like a double whammy. If I'm healthy, I'm just like, I whatever, and throw jabs inside of me, or tated,
Starting point is 00:11:19 but I don't let it really get me. But you were feeling crap. But I'm feeling crap. And then you know what, and it sucks because I can't work. That's what's making me mad. It's like like I can't do it about it. Oh, you already feel the starting your head yeah, exactly. Exactly. In my head I feel guilty because I'm watching 16 and pregnant all day long.
Starting point is 00:11:33 Just laying on the couch fucking sniffling blow my I feel it right blow my nose feeling like a loser and stuff like that and then I got my friends texting me like what's up dude you don't have time to get on your fantasy because you work so much. Oh yeah, and they're like sending me captions of like pictures from Vegas or like, what are you doing right now? And I'm like, you motherfucker.
Starting point is 00:11:50 So I just ripped them. Oh yeah dude, you can't win glue. No, it's true dude, I'm the same. When I get sick, I get depressed because I feel like I'm being lazy. Yeah, because you're just like, I'm wasting my time. Yeah, what am I doing?
Starting point is 00:12:00 Yeah, yeah. Start looking at your whole life. Unproductive and pathetic. Yeah, I mean there's only so many times you can jerk off and then you're just gonna be sitting there lazy. Then it becomes a competition. Yeah, can I share a main line? How raw can I get it?
Starting point is 00:12:13 Wait, you're gonna share an inappropriate story? Yeah, totally. I know how much you love these. Yeah, well, you mentioned the jerking off I say. So, so here's a spark something. It always does. So, my girls would be so mad at me I'm sharing this story right now. Did you think I throw the tissues away? No, no, no, so I get really
Starting point is 00:12:30 I can be in my death to catch you, but I get When you're sick when I'm sick that's normal I think well, I know I get like Like a what what I'm like healthy is like let's say I'm like running at 70% or on my horny levels and I get sick It's like often right off do you get into like more horny when you say well, do you get into weird shit then? Is that what happens what it is? This is what okay, and I don't know if you guys remember this I don't know if you guys were here about this. I don't know if you remember the first time a woman ever touched your dick But the first time a woman ever touched my dick. I think we all remember that. No man will ever forget that.
Starting point is 00:13:06 That moment. That's a staple moment in life. When I was a kid, when I was in high school, and my girlfriend at the time came over to care me when I was sick, and while she was taking care of me, that's what she did. And that was the first time a woman ever. So every time I, so you were sick,
Starting point is 00:13:21 she came over and gave you a hand job. Yes. Wow. And you didn't marry her? I know, right? That. Yes. Wow. And you did marry her. I know How did you the balance? I thought I was I thought I was I thought I was going to Like I'd be like walking Yeah, yeah, I'm sick again. Oh my god. So to this day. I feel like that's the reason why that I get this abnormal Sexy you when I'm sick
Starting point is 00:13:45 Which I think is so disgusting. I feel bad for my girl. I'm like blowing my nose, I can barely talk. I'm coughing, I'm just like, that come here, take her close off. Make me feel better. Yeah, I really want this. You look so hot. You know what sucks though about that?
Starting point is 00:14:00 This is what sucks about it because when you're, when you're starting to have sex, you're aroused, you're reaching your climax, your body's releasing endorphins, you don't feel pain anymore all of a sudden, you're like, I don't have a fever, I feel great. And then right after you climax, you feel worse. Yeah, because you're like,
Starting point is 00:14:17 oh, great, that's similar. That's similar, you know, you say that, actually, it's very similar to the workout too. That's why I have to always be careful too, because inside I want to just go working out and go sweat it out Yeah, so today was my first day back. This is I have not taken Did you like extensions? I did lots of them one leg it. Yeah No, it was actually it was actually I wanted I wanted to start with lace
Starting point is 00:14:37 But I wanted to get a like a really easy working out in today because I want to go crumb I'm gonna crush lace tomorrow back home back home path. That was the last thing that I did before I got sick. What's that sound? I think that was a, was this asshole motorcycle guys. Oh, awesome. That was outside. Yeah, I thought it was Doug over there.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Really? Me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, It's the one where they're calling them. Well, anyway. There's a rockatory term. There's a gay people. Oh, is that a horrible? Yeah, love what he does that. So Adam, you guys know I'm talking about. So Adam, you're gonna smash legs tomorrow. Yeah. What are you gonna do as part of your workout?
Starting point is 00:15:16 Are you gonna do front squats? Why don't you do front squats? I do do, I just tell you I don't like to do it. I don't do it very often. I do. You do? Yeah, there's not. So why did you tell me you don't do them? Are you trying to play games here? Are we doing little cycles? You said I don't like to deal with, I don't do it very often. I do them. You do? Yeah, there's not. So why did you tell me you don't do them?
Starting point is 00:15:25 Are you trying to play games here? Are we doing a little cycle? It's a little cycle. You said I don't do them. I just didn't disagree with you. I'm not gonna tell you any more secrets. I just didn't discuss them. I just didn't discuss them.
Starting point is 00:15:34 A front squad. I shared all my secrets. You silly girls in your machines. Yeah. Front squats is free weights. When I start to move into our phase three of maps, is when I tend to do more front squats. Because I actually like doing front squats with wider weight than I like going really
Starting point is 00:15:48 heavy. So you go like you only go like like two 25 to 30 something like that? No. I actually do not front squat more than about 185. That's not bad. Yeah I don't front squat a lot. 50 60 reps. No. No. No, I actually it's one of those exercises that to this day, I just, I've never really got comfortable with how, and I've played with all different, whether I've wrapped my fingers or rolled my shoulders or crossed my arms, like, it's just, what is it that's uncomfortable? He still has the mobility for it. Yeah, it's just, it's not comfortable in the bar there, you know.
Starting point is 00:16:21 See, bro, all you got to do is ask, I'll show you the way. This is what you do. You get a towel. You try it around the bar. and then you hold the towel. Yeah, so don't do yeah, I've done that You ever try the man to array? Have you seen those things? It's they go they go in the bar and then it sits on your shoulder We got construction going on next. Oh, that's what it is. Yeah, yeah I thought it was like a motorcycle man

Yeah, but she's idea Hi, dude. She wants hello. Do you know I just noticed? Yeah, it wouldn't sell first walked in and I don't know what it was I thought maybe it was his hair something he did. I was like he looks fucking sharp today I'm like I don't know why he looks sharp But I was gonna tell him in compliment him,
Starting point is 00:17:25 and I didn't get a chance to do it because we lit up the mic so I was like, this is Puma's. And then I started looking, and now that he's sitting across me, I'm looking at his attire right now, and he fucking matches. Not only does he match,
Starting point is 00:17:35 not only does he match, but he has black socks. That's why. With his low, I love it, dude. Yeah. You look sharp. No wonder someone's gonna be so good. You know what, he. No wonder someone's trying not bad. Yeah, I did it You know, you know what happened is we had that me and Doug had that meeting with that company. That's why so I I wore
Starting point is 00:17:56 This is my wedding Shorts and This is weddings meetings and futorials all rats all wrapped in all right. You got it all covered Doug. Did you go rip some ass? Good What are they doing out there? So would you tell them to stop fucking doing that our punching the face? Did you use that language? Basically what I told them He's the producer and the enforcer
Starting point is 00:18:21 He's like a little pit bull, you know what I mean? Like you look at him You like I don't know he's kind of small, buck you up. Actually Doug's very scrappy. He told me this before, because I guess he's getting beat up. We didn't shoot your brother like wrestling show all time. Oh yeah, he's six years older than me
Starting point is 00:18:33 and beat the crap out of me. So now you're just, you're just, you're just made you mean. That always makes kid tough. Made you mean and scrappy. It's good for you. Angry. You ever been in a fight, Doug?
Starting point is 00:18:42 When I was in elementary school, I was always in fights. Really? And I won all the time Doug? When I was in elementary school. I was always in fights really and I won all the time Even though I was a smaller kid because I had a lot of practice my brother, you know, he'd beat the crap out of me How would you win? How would you win the fights? Oh, man? I just like punch and do whatever was necessary You see how pumped he gets me to talk to you. I know I just started look I'm scared I'm just gonna mess with neck whoa bro. No problems over here. You might be the toughest guy in the room. I think you, I think you, whoa, whoa.
Starting point is 00:19:06 Yeah. No problems. I all grew that though. You're out of the fighting? Yeah. That's I think once everybody saw that you were so vicious. Yeah. You don't mean to see that, you don't have to forget that.
Starting point is 00:19:16 Hey, so this is what I know we, we fire these mics up and we never have a fucking direction with this show. But there's something that, so Sal was getting on to me the other day about, you know, we have a lot of guests that come on this show. And, you know, he sent me to the music, God damn it. I wanted to cover this.
Starting point is 00:19:35 You don't want to cover this in a whole separate. No, this is just this one thing you want to talk about? No, we'll talk about the whole thing. We'll cover it all, whatever, bro. Why do we get a plan? We never plan. Whenever we don't plan it, it's thinking, I'm just here for the ride. It'll work itself out. What was I thinking? Actually, I'll cover it all, whatever bro. Why do we get a plan? We never plan, we don't plan it. I don't know what I was thinking. It'll work here for the ride.
Starting point is 00:19:46 It'll work itself out. What was I thinking? Actually, I'm gonna have a gen does. No, I'm kind of like, I'm very interested. I'm very interested in Justin's opinion on this too. Okay. Sal starts lighting me up because we did not correct somebody when they're on the podcast about things
Starting point is 00:20:02 that we disagree with the fitness. And I was like, whoa, whoa, dude, hold on. And he's like, man, I could this is what we're about. We're supposed to call that bullshit out. And by the way, he's going off. And I'm like, hold on, bro. I'm like, you got to remember, too, that a lot of these guests, and this is what I'm, this is my defense.
Starting point is 00:20:15 And then when I'm going to say to you guys why we don't maybe call people out on things that you guys are listening to and you're like, wait a second. That doesn't add up because it does. That's not what mine pump believes. So a lot of these guests that we guys, if you guys haven't put it together yet a lot of these people are actually friends and a lot of them are friends of mine. So I'm the one who has to communicate with these guys on a regular basis. I hear you. So there there is a part of me that you know when they say stuff that I do not fully agree with you don't hear me interject and start to punk them because I do hang out with
Starting point is 00:20:44 them. I can hang out with them. It's not about punking. Well, okay. It's just, okay, you know what the problem is. In there, I know, I know a way that you could bring it up, say next time somebody says something and it's out of light. No. Yeah, well, you just, you just kind of throw it back and I'm like, oh, it's interesting.
Starting point is 00:20:59 Where did you hear that from? You know what I'm saying? And then to get them to talk about it a little more into that person that is identified like the source of the shitty information. But the person this person heard it from we know who it is and that's also Adam. Yeah. Yeah. So we're it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would it would do for our listeners. This is my thought on it. Should we have like a secret sound so they know? No. We're just like, mrrrr. Yeah, I was like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:29 I mean, you're not real, I'll be like, let's do that. I seriously, that'd be awesome. Actually, next time somebody's on, it's me. I'll be real quiet. Yeah, I'll go, I'll go. No. Yeah, I heard that. I heard that, like, you got to eat seven times a day
Starting point is 00:21:43 and then you're like, mrrrr. Yeah. Yeah. Man. I heard that like you got to eat seven times a day Could you do a salad that fucking barn animals a barn and sheep go Would be awesome Here's the problem the problem is that I have a big no idea Do you guys you guys have no fucking idea how hard it is for me to keep my mouth shut sure It is I have a big one. No. It's not as bad as mine. It's so bad. I just want to say something so fucking bad So annoying. It's that's why I couldn't sleep that night, dude. I know you were driving me crazy Because the guest the ass shut a couple crazy the guest said a couple things one in particular and it's not living like Ladies and gentlemen, I'm gonna break it down for you
Starting point is 00:22:23 It wasn't a differ't a difference of opinion. It wasn't like, I like blue. No, red is a better, no, that's a difference of opinion. I'm not gonna argue with that. It was as if someone said one plus one equals five. Like, it was, it's not your opinion. You're just wrong. No, it's not that.
Starting point is 00:22:37 You're just wrong. It's not like that. That's not, it's not that blatant. It's clear. It's very clear for us. But it's more, I think let me give a better analogy than one plus one equals five. Cause it was in that blade. It's clear. It's very clear for us. But it's more, I think let me give a better analogy than one plus one equals five because it was in that position. Yeah. I mean, can we just run through maybe a breakdown of like a plethora of like dumbass things that we've heard that are still
Starting point is 00:22:56 relt. You know, let's go through some bodybuilding. Yeah. Okay. So let's let's let's introduce this subject by saying this. A lot of the guests that we probably disagree with are of course my peers, because a lot of my peers that are in the, in the, in the, we adjusted early 11. Moor, like, or like, man.
Starting point is 00:23:17 A lot of my peers that you guys have heard as guests on our show are, you know, bodybuilders and men's physique athletes and coaches of those, men's physique athletes. coaches of those men's physique athletes. So a lot of these guys have the bodybuilding mentality and there's, there's a lot of great information and great things that come out of that. But then there's a lot of stuff that we debunk and we call bullshit on. So a lot of its hearsay, a lot of its dogma, it's just passed and passed along, passed along. And nobody questions it because
Starting point is 00:23:44 people have been saying it for so long. Well, let's start right here. Let's start firing. So one of the first things that you hear a lot in the bodybuilding world is what? What are one of the ones? Well, one of the first things that I hear still to the state is that you can work a particular part of a muscle. So for example, lower abs or upper abs or lower bicep, upper bicep, inner
Starting point is 00:24:06 chest, outer chest, you know, when you hear stuff like this, it's like, you might as well just drag your fingernails across the chalkboard because it's the, it's the, it's the horror. It's sometimes I feel like it's just like a vocabulary mistake or something because here's the thing. And, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, well, no, here's a thing. This is Adam Adam's like, listen, people are just retarded. It's this. It's that the gate. First of all, we know that it's impossible to even isolate a muscle. You can't the body works in a justly and every time you move anything, there's a protagonist antagonist working. Sure. Sure. But that's, but that's, that's totally different. It's so much different.
Starting point is 00:24:46 It's not. It's impossible to isolate a single. There's such a closer. It's exactly what you're doing. Okay. It's in possible. It's in possible. It's in possible.
Starting point is 00:24:55 And muscles, everything is in communication. Yes. Everything is. So to, when people say things like trying to work the inner outer or the peak of the bicep or whatever it may be or the tear drop in the in the quad or whatever, it's impossible to isolate these parts because you can't even isolate the muscle by itself. There's other muscles that are working synergistically with those muscles. So it's all it's all a fallacy. So any one of that ever talks about,
Starting point is 00:25:19 you know, incline chest is for is your is for your upper chest. No, it's for your fucking chest. Well, but see here here's where if you wanna get down and this is what they're trying to do, they're trying to break it down and get very, very specific. Here's a deal. And this is very easy for the listeners to understand. This is just to break it down.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Muscles have two attachments, okay? You can sometimes break up the muscle, the muscle between the top and the bottom or side to side if you're in between the muscle, the muscle between the top and the bottom or side to side if you're in between the attachments, but you cannot break up a muscle between one attachment and the other. So let me explain. The chest has two major points of attachment all along the sternum.
Starting point is 00:25:56 So that's right along the center of the chest. And then it kind of comes together and pinches together and comes in one point. Fans into one point what you're saying. In the humorous, right? In the upper arm, right? So because there's so many points of insertion in the middle of the chest, I can work more upper chest than lower.
Starting point is 00:26:14 I can't isolate, but I can work more upper more. But it's impossible to get inner and outer chest because there's two attachments. And you can't break it up in between. It would be like having a rubber band attaching it to two ends and then making the rubber band shorten, it's going to pull from both ends. I can't pull from the middle of the rubber band to the right or the middle of the rubber band to the left attachment.
Starting point is 00:26:34 It pulls from both attachments. Same reason why you can't isolate the lower abs from the upper abs because there's two attachments. Or change the peak of your bicep and stupid shit like that. Now, when you have big muscles with multiple attachments, theoretically you can work more of the teardrop or the outer part of the clogged. Is it going to make that big of a difference? No. But for the most part when you hear all this shaping shit, like, you know, oh, your biceps,
Starting point is 00:26:59 we need to make them longer, do more preacher curls or do a hold the squeeze in the middle of a, you know, peck deck so it can work the interchest or shit like that. That's just wrong. Well, theoretically, theoretically it's still wrong though. You still cannot isolate a part of muscle. Right. There's no exercise that isolates a part of a muscle.
Starting point is 00:27:17 It always all works. So yes, you can put emphasis on specific areas. But at the end of the day, and that's the other thing too, here's another myth is shaping any muscle. We do not shape muscles. Not a build. Yeah, they build or they don't build. It's that simple. Now, can you create, but now, okay,
Starting point is 00:27:33 so how do I build or shape a butt? There's things that we can do to create the illusion of a rounder butt, right? By building your hamstrings, and that it tucks and inserts underneath your glutes, so it makes it look like it's a rounder, more bubbly butt, right? By building your hamstrings, and it tucks and inserts underneath your glutes, so it makes it look like it's a rounder, more bubbly butt, or doing heavier weight and building the muscle bigger, so it put trudes out more, but you cannot shape it.
Starting point is 00:27:55 If you have a small, flat, little tiny butt, to try and make it look like Jennifer Lopez butt with a 14-inch waist, just as it's not gonna happen, and just that the body doesn't work that way. Right, but you know, back in the day, especially in the like the 70s bodybuilders would do, like this exercise is for bicep peak. This is for bicep length.
Starting point is 00:28:12 This is for, you know, the sides of the lats. This is for the lower lats. This is for, so, you know, that kind of stuff, you know, is the kind of stuff I'm talking about. Yeah, what I see a lot as guys taking some machine and turning their body a certain way or like creating, creating weird movements, you know, or the, I see the, the newest one I see a lot is the T bar row and guys getting down on their knees and then they, they grab a hole the T bar
Starting point is 00:28:39 row and then they do these. Oh, they press it out the squeeze in between their hands. Yes, they do for the inner chest. Yes chest for like the inner chest and stuff. So these type of movements. Now here's here's the problem. Like that guy, let's just hypethetic. Now these are just, you know, total hypothetical numbers. But let's say that guy does five sets of this, you know, honest knees, inner chest fucking row push up things, you know,
Starting point is 00:29:02 and he does five sets of those. Those five and let's say he's doing 10 reps. Those five sets, 10 reps of that are probably, things, you know, and he does five sets of those. Those five, and let's say he's doing 10 reps, those five sets, 10 reps of that, are probably, I don't know, 30% effective in comparison to, I don't know, five fucking bench press. You know, with the barbell, you know, with three times the amount of weight. You know, it just, it doesn't,
Starting point is 00:29:20 that's why it doesn't make sense. Now, and then here's where, it's just silly. Here's where I don't say anything, because I see it all the time and people ask me, you know why we won't make sense. Now, and then here's where, it's just silly. Here's where I don't say anything, because I see it all the time and people ask me, you know why we won't you go correct it if you say, well, it's not like he's doing something that's gonna hurt himself.
Starting point is 00:29:32 And you know what, if you're bored and you wanna go mess around with some shit, whatever, you know, who might it tell you what you're gonna go and go do. But, you know, if you're trying to make progress in your physique, you're trying to make change, there's so many other things that you can be doing to benefit your overall change.
Starting point is 00:29:47 And especially when you're somebody who's trying to lean down and get ripped whether it's Furby Affair's show or a magazine shoot or so on like that. It's like you're trying to dig a hole and here I have a plow. Yeah, but you want to use a teaspoon. Yeah, you want to use a shell. Like you can dig a hole eventually with a teaspoon.
Starting point is 00:30:02 It's going to take you five lifetimes or we could use this big backhoe over here that's gonna, you know, two times and great it now. Great, no, yeah. When I said hoe. I love them hose. Yeah, yeah. So another picking on that one.
Starting point is 00:30:15 So, you know, what are some other body billion myths that you see, Sal, all the time? High reps makes your muscles ripped, low reps, it makes you both good. Oh, yeah. One of Justin's favorites. Oh, yeah, just. Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, lifting heavy weights for low reps is gonna make a bulky. Right. And it's just two different adaptations. It's one is for endurance, for the most part, muscle endurance, and the other were in a different phase,
Starting point is 00:30:53 and we're trying to focus on central nervous system, firing and strength, and it's just two different adaptations. It has nothing to do with how lean or bulky you are. Yeah, no, I mean, your muscles do two things really in terms of visually. They build or they shrink. Yeah, they build or shrink. They don't, you don't build, you know, after lean or muscle. If you, if you do high reps and you build like puffier, bulkier muscle, if you go to reps, if you want to get ripped, you just get lean. Well, that falls right in line two, the toned. You know that whole, that whole,
Starting point is 00:31:28 that doesn't mean it's like hand in hand is the high reps get you more toned. Right, and so anyway, that's just nails on a chalkboard for me. Yeah, it's toned, toned means nothing. It means building to a small degree. That's pretty much it. So, yeah, don't be afraid to build muscle.
Starting point is 00:31:44 I mean, it's all how you're eating. Like that's really much it. So. Yeah, don't be afraid to build muscle. I mean, it's all in how you're eating. Like that's really what's the effect of like, you know, size it for your body. My favorite that makes Sal cringe, is when people talk about protein. He's so extreme on the other way. I'm gonna like in the middle guy. I'm like, well, I know that the RDA is 0.7,
Starting point is 00:32:01 but one gram to one pound. Like, you know, that's cool. You know, and maybe I'll even push to 1.5 or what that. But when I hear guys say like two times, three times your body weight. I know, so I'll just want to, what is the fire off? It's a waste of protein.
Starting point is 00:32:16 And at the least, at the worst, you'd be very acidic and gassy. Well, at the worst, it's potentially dangerous. Now high protein diets are not dangerous, but the ultra high protein diets, like, but you know, you'll see some bodybuilders do, there can be some definite effects. You know, I'm talking about a 200 pound male
Starting point is 00:32:35 eating 400 grams of protein a day. Holy shit. And that's not unheard of, that's not even a strong. It's very common. That's very common, especially when they're dieting, they'll just all of a sudden jacked approaching up to like astronomical levels. Here's what happens to the protein that you're eating when you're eating that big of a mouth.
Starting point is 00:32:51 Your body's taking it and turning it into energy. That's it. It's not utilizing it to build, you're not going to build more muscle because you're eating 400 grams of proteins instead of 200. It's just, it's just turning into energy. You're better off eating carbs and fat from it. Well, when the, which leads me to the next big bodybuilding stupid thing I see is the staple last two weeks of a diet.
Starting point is 00:33:11 Uh-huh. Tulapia and asparagus. Oh, every day, all day. And you do not know how many people hate to eat fish. And I love talking to these people. They come to me and they're like, like, oh my god, you know, I'm on the phone in two weeks just to Loppia and asparagus here on out. I'm just like, really? Cause I don't need any tilapia.
Starting point is 00:33:30 I don't need any fish, my entire prep. What? What do you mean? Whoa, that just makes sense to me. I'm like, yeah, okay, well why don't you give me your protein break down real quick. Oh, okay, you're eating 400 grams of protein all in tilapia.
Starting point is 00:33:42 Did you imagine that? How many pounds of fish is that? Oh my god. So much, dude. So that I'm like, okay, how bad do you smell? Let's do this. Let's go ahead and give yourself some juicy steak. You know, and maybe some ground turkey and some chicken breast.
Starting point is 00:33:57 And instead of having 15 ounces of tilapia, every single serving, have eight ounces of chicken or eight ounces of right. We can turkey. And you're gonna see, you're gonna lean out just as fast and not faster. we're seeing all the serving, have eight ounces of chicken, or eight ounces of right, we can turn you, and you're gonna see, you're gonna lean out just as fast, if not faster, it's just like Sal said,
Starting point is 00:34:09 all that extra protein is just converting into energy that your body's gonna have to burn off anyways. May as well enjoy a carb or a fat that your body would enjoy. Yeah, your body prefers to use carbs for energy, and it would use fats as well, if you had a low carb diet. Here's the other thing,
Starting point is 00:34:23 these guys will go super low carb, and what they'll do is they'll jack the protein up, and then if you tell them low carb diet. Here's the other thing. These guys will go super low carb, and what they'll do is they'll jack the protein up, and then if you tell them you're eating too much protein, they'll be like, well, I feel so much better when I eat more protein. That's because your body is taking that energy now. Yeah, it's using that extra protein and turning it into glycogen,
Starting point is 00:34:37 which is what carbs are supposed to be used for. So what you should do is if you're trying to stay low carb, is just bump your fat up. Keep the calories where you want them, bump your fat up, you're gonna get more benefit from that than for meeting a million grams of protein. And you're gonna feel a hell of a lot better. And it's weird to me too,
Starting point is 00:34:53 because 20 years ago, nobody built her, no pro bodybuilder ate fish. It was like 30, 20, 30 years ago, they were shredded as fuck and they chicken. Chicken was the food everybody had that whole time. That was the thing, I was just so. Which makes sense. It's a very lean protein. And that's the whole the the reason why and the science behind why these coaches
Starting point is 00:35:11 perscribe Fish is because it's it's the leanest source of protein. It's just that which is a little bit leaner than chicken Which means it'll be a little bit lower on calories, which means you're gonna burn a little bit more But not if you're having 15 ounces of it, you know, if you're having 15 ounces of toapia, have eight ounces of fucking chicken and you're eating less than the chicken. It just doesn't make no sense. No. How about this one?
Starting point is 00:35:34 Here's a big myth. This is actually one that isn't even talked about a lot. You should never train a sore muscle. Oh, yeah. How about that one? Yeah. That's not just a bodybuilding myth. That's just a myth in the end.
Starting point is 00:35:43 Yeah. Yeah. Because I think, to be honest with you, especially now in bodybuilding, I think it's becoming more popular to push through that. If anything overtraining in bodybuilding is probably more common than under-training because you're afraid you're gonna work a sore muscle. Well, I think soreness gets associated
Starting point is 00:36:00 with an effective workout, which doesn't mean you had an effective workout. Well, that's still the staple thing today. You know, I got anywhere. Yeah, I'll hear that. You know, even with clients still and everything, it's just, it's just a very, I mean, if you're putting in work, like it, it's almost expected that, you know, I, well, I wasn't not sore. That means it was a way to work.
Starting point is 00:36:20 Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I don't work out today. No, I, I actually, I actually don't get sore that often. No. Myself. Um, because you're, you're spreading the load around your entire body. That's really bad. And it was for me. Yeah. Yeah. Adam, can you spread the load? There's, let me say load. It's always like, you crap. Shoot. It's like, yeah, is this gonna be sexual? I don't think you get very strong because you don't try very hard. That's probably the main reason why you do that.
Starting point is 00:36:47 Yeah, that's good. But as far as training a sore muscle is concerned, sometimes one of the best things you could do is train a sore muscle. Well, we've talked about this before. We just go lighter and go a little easier. Promote more blood flow, more oxygen, more nutrients, more nutrients, more circulation. Circulation more oxygen, more healing. It's just that science. So, yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:06 What else? Bring others to you guys. Oh, dude, there's so many. I know. This is like revisiting old fun. Well, hey, stop being such a fucking Debbie down, everybody. I don't know why. I just thought, this stuff irritates me.
Starting point is 00:37:18 Well, it was like, bombed out. You want to talk about Indian clubs and fucking performance training all the time. And it's like, dude, a lot of people are here to get in shape and fucking train like that And this is a lot of the stuff a lot of the information I get is for the body But like every time you guys are talking about well you got a bigger butt and like you know, I don't know Missed about that. I'm like what I got I got an idea. I don't know what you just said, but I do have an idea Talking about shaping and all that kind of shit that I, it's just like, yeah,
Starting point is 00:37:49 but how can I know? I got an idea. I got an idea. That's just for me. Give us, give us, you have two options here. Either song or give us, give us a performance myth. A performance myth. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:00 What's a good performance? Okay. Okay. Um, um, um, work your calves if you want to jump higher. That's what we used to do in high schools. Oh, yeah, Okay. Work your calves if you wanna jump higher. That's what we used to do in high school. Oh yeah, yeah. With those strengths shoes. Yes, yes, yeah, just the strengths shoes.
Starting point is 00:38:11 So my boy out there. Well named. Yeah, that's one of them. I mean, really it's just the most common myths that I get a lot of times is that it's the overworked, like overfitting, like working till failure is a big performance thing. So always like achieving that, that PR and like people are always like striving for that constantly.
Starting point is 00:38:32 And way too often, way too frequent and they're not recovering properly. So for me, like my biggest frustration is the, it's the mentality that you're a whist or what not if you're not like pounding just as hard the next day and trying to achieve greatness every single day. I would actually say that at performance based individuals,
Starting point is 00:38:56 people who go to the gym because they want to perform better, probably over train at a higher rate. They'd absolutely want to build muscle or loose fat. Well, yeah, definitely, because if anybody would benefit from that, it's going to be them before somebody else, right? Because we know for sure aesthetically that's not how to help you, but endurance and stuff like that,
Starting point is 00:39:12 you're going to get benefits for that for pushing that VO2, things like that. Yeah, the reason that irritates me so much is because I was that guy, you know? I think that a lot of these things too, like, you know, when it hit, when it resonates, like I realize it, realize that because of coaching and going through sports programs,
Starting point is 00:39:29 it's pounded into your head that it's all mental discipline. And I think that there's a place for that, especially in the beginning to sort of weed people out in sporting programs. I don't want to kid on the team that can't withstand the conditioning that we're doing and can't do the 100 yard sprint with me and all that.
Starting point is 00:39:50 I don't want any kind of people holding up the team because they're being pussies about it. But at the same time, let's all evolve. Let's get smarter in how we train and let's perform let's, let's, you know, perform on the field and see how much more effective we are when we actually use our brains when we're in the weight room, right? And I guess that's why I get really passionate about it because it's just, it's still there. You know, there's still these dumb ass coaches out
Starting point is 00:40:19 there that just pound the shit out of their athletes. It is, but I will say this about performance. Performance is constantly measured by performance, right? So you do have to measure it. It's much more objective than muscle building. Muscle building, they'll be like, that dude has a big back and he says do this, therefore let's all do. Like, do you guys remember when Doreen Yates
Starting point is 00:40:41 was doing supinated grip, Barbell Rose reverse grip? All of a sudden, everybody in the fucking gym is doing reverse grip, Barbell Rose, because of the Arnold press. Arnold, that's the... Yeah, because Doreen Yates has it, because so and so does it. Whereas we know what a big role genetics plays
Starting point is 00:40:54 in terms of how someone looks. In performance, you have trends. A team is performing faster or better. And so it becomes more objective, and I think a lot of the breakthroughs come through performance first and then move their way into there. You know, there's some great performance. Well, that's a very good point right there. How often do we see this in something like, okay, kind of I wish I could think of a team off top of my head where this has happened. But let's just say it's the, you know, Kenyans and running and also they're smoking
Starting point is 00:41:21 everybody and running and it's because, you know, they run barefoot. Not because of the genetics. They run barefoot outside for their long distance runs, so now everybody's wearing, you're running barefoot or wearing shoes that are pretty much simulating barefoot because they're breaking records and that's how that team track is. Michael Phelps was wearing a specific like skull cap. Yes. So in like every swimmer has one of those in the show.
Starting point is 00:41:42 There you go. There's all your performance. Yeah, especially in like the tape. Oh, remember those nose breathing tapes? Oh, breathe right. Breathe right strips. So now you're just, you're just training your body to adapt to like big nostrils.
Starting point is 00:41:55 To breathe. You don't even breathe out of your nose when you're performing. No. Your mouth is like, it's just fucking dumb. Yeah. You know, that's one of them. You get so angry.
Starting point is 00:42:06 There we go, there's someone. How about this one for bat, you know, switching back gears to Justin's topics that he loves? How about people that need to lose body fat or get lean or get ready for a show, have to do cardio? Yeah, how about that one? No, you don't have to do cardio. Nope.
Starting point is 00:42:21 Nope, nope, only conditioning. Yeah, off you're in a sport, really Right. You can you can get shredded to the bone and never get on a treadmill. It's possible. It's actually easier. I think I think it's better if you did if you lifted weights and didn't do cardio to get me an eight right versus cardio. No weight. I have that choice. Yeah. If you had to pay it would way higher for sure. I wait till the final two weeks before I introduce any cardio, what's hard because I want to figure out what I need to do manipulating my workouts and my nutrition to continue to see my progress. And then I want to know that when I decide to ramp that
Starting point is 00:42:56 cardio, that's going to really accelerate my results. Do you think there's people though that still exist that they just don't have the discipline nutrition wise, but they feel like they can still handle that with cardio. Lots of clients. That is the big myth that still happens. I got lots of clients like that. I could take this on just with cardio and I could still eat.
Starting point is 00:43:14 Yeah, I'll just do an hour cardio every day. You know how much, how many slices of pizza and hour cardio per two? Like maybe, maybe one or two. Yeah, it'll be out here. I mean, if you're intense two and a half, if you're like, like most people, one and a half, that's how it's like.
Starting point is 00:43:29 Cardio is a very manual way of burning calories. It wouldn't be, it's so much better to have a fast, but yeah, it doesn't always equate to what you would hope. No, and those machines lie. Oh, yeah. You get on the elliptical, I burn 800 calories in 30 minutes. No, you didn't. No, you did not burn 800 calories.
Starting point is 00:43:43 Oh, let's talk about it. The average female that gets on a tree, and let's say balls to the wall. Okay, balls to the wall. She's on there. 350 to 500. Maybe balls to the wall. Hard. Yes. Hard. Well, even heart rate monitors, they don't like, they've found that like the, with the wrist, heart rate monitors, they don't register properly until after you're done with your movement. Yeah. So it gives you a very low reading, and then all of a sudden it spikes like crazy once you stop moving because guess what?
Starting point is 00:44:09 It wasn't even like picking it up. Oh, so I noticed that on my Fitbit all the time I'm doing squats and I'm like ready to throw up and I looked down like 90 once. I don't guess I can't rely on that. No, not ready to die right now. It's only been nine, they'll be sitting on the bench and like five minutes later.
Starting point is 00:44:22 It's like, 140. I don't know where I'm like, okay, that's not very accurate. I definitely feel like shit. I'm about five minutes ago. Yeah, I know. That's a, the cardio one is crazy though, because that's to like, I think that's such a great point. And this one I feel like pertains to everybody who's listening, you know, so many people find the need to do cardio. And cardio is still in that hamster wheel. Yeah, I mean, an hour of cardio, you're looking at 300 to 600 calories tops, you know, really, I mean, can you burn 800? Yeah. You know, it can't be done. A big guy moving really hard. Well, when you start to push the calorie burn that high, then your body is really trying to adapt
Starting point is 00:44:58 to become more efficient at burning calories. And so you just get, you get skinnier by losing muscle. Yeah, you break the cardio threshold. Yeah, like you look at long distance, there's a lot, there's a lot more long distance runners that are flabby than people who lift weights properly that are flabby. You know what I'm saying? It's just because their bodies have adapted to the point where they're just burning less calories and because they've lost muscle. That's it. Yeah, so yeah.
