Creightene, one of the most effective supplements known to man, but there's three things nobody ever talks about in regards to Creightene. Does anyone want to guess? Okay, does that include us?
Starting point is 00:02:19 Yeah, like what people? We've said some of this stuff, because you guys have me and I know Creightene. Thank God for that, right? Cognitive benefits. Methylation. You don't hear a lot of that. Well, what?
Starting point is 00:02:30 Cognitive benefits. Oh yeah, that was number one. Oh, is it? Yeah. Okay. So, you know, okay, so first off, Crateine, everybody knows it's good for muscle building and for strength.
Starting point is 00:02:40 That's what it's been marketed to forever. That's what all the early studies showed. But now we have studies showing all kinds of incredible benefits. And it's one of the most, if not the most studied supplement that there is. There's lots, hundreds of peer-reviewed research on creatine.
Starting point is 00:03:00 And we have now data showing clearly it helps with cognitive performance, short-term memory in particular. Did they first find that when they were working with vegans? Yeah, vegans were where they first saw this IQ boost because they're not getting much creatine from food, right?
Starting point is 00:03:17 You get it from animal sources. Now your body can synthesize creatine by combining certain amino acids, but we know this with supplementing creatine that you just, taking more of it tends to give us more benefits. And so with vegans they saw this boost, but we see this across the board. Most people, when they take creatine,
Starting point is 00:03:35 we see this kind of measurable, not huge, but measurable improvement in cognitive function, and it's probably even better for people with impaired cognitive function, people who feel foggy or absent-minded or people with dementia, Alzheimer's. We're starting to see research on that. Now, one of the reasons why it does this is creatine increases the amount of available energy that your cells can use.
Starting point is 00:03:59 ATP, which is a primary source of energy for your cells, all your cells. So when you have more ATP, all your cells operate better. So your brain essentially has more available energy to think and process. So this is why we see this benefit. You know, offhand, do you know the difference, like in comparison to somebody who has like a regular omnivore diet versus somebody who is on a vegan diet
Starting point is 00:04:23 with the differences? You said it's measurable across the board. It's bigger. It's bigger with vegans. I know, yeah, I know. Yeah, much, much bigger. Doubles. I don't know, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Oh, okay, that's what I'm asking if you know. But it's much, it's much bigger. At least measurable like you. But it's still measurable even for somebody who's on an omnivore diet. What you see with everyone else is an improvement in short term memory, is what you tend to see. Is just, that just.
Starting point is 00:04:41 I would imagine too, I don't know if they've actually teased this part out, but it makes a difference too in a caloric deficit, right? I mean, I would think if you are- Well, the less creatine you have in your diet, the more you'll benefit from- That's what I was saying. So like if you're on a calorie-restricted diet,
Starting point is 00:04:56 even if it is a balanced diet, I would still think that you'd have some more- But just, you know, again, like most of the studies done on our creatine show about five grams a day, you would need to eat, I think like three pounds. Maybe, Doug, you could look up how much Creighton is in one pound of red meat. I thought it was one gram.
Starting point is 00:05:13 I think you would need, you would have to eat more meat than anybody will eat, than most people will eat. So getting the- I thought it was like a gram per pound, something like that. Maybe, I don't remember, but what does it say? One to two grams. Yeah, so.
Starting point is 00:05:25 Per pound. So to get five grams of crepe, you'd have to eat something like three to five pounds of meat, which, no, nobody does that. So just so for people to know, because sometimes people are like, well I eat a lot of meat, you still will benefit from supplementing it with crepe.
Starting point is 00:05:38 Actually it's more like one gram per pound. Yeah, okay, so five pounds of meat, which nobody's eating. So that's number one. That is number one. What's the other thing? What about improving methylation? Oh, that's good. I didn't put that there.
Starting point is 00:05:53 But, you know, it does help with, people have methylation issues. This is a process where your body... Are you adding that as a fourth thing? No, I mean, I could talk about that. No, but I mean, was that one of the three? No, it wasn't. Okay, so you're adding it, so it's a fourth.
Starting point is 00:06:07 Yeah, it's a cool thing to bring up, but most people hear that and it just glazes over. Yeah. Unless they've been told to have methylation issues. Yeah. So yeah, not that... I just found out about that one, so it was like... Not that exciting for most people.
Starting point is 00:06:18 I would think that one of the other ones that not a lot of people know is the benefits in advanced age and muscle retention. No, no that's also positive that's true but the one I'm thinking that a lot of people don't know about is its effects on depression. It is actually measurable effect on depression is being currently researched as a potential adjuvant therapy so people taking SSRI get better results when they take an SSRI with creatine. We have studies on that, and then we have studies
Starting point is 00:06:47 on creatine just general with depression. It seems to improve some of those kind of physical depressive effects that people have. So it's like a, it's a very natural, healthy antidepressant, which is kind of cool. Interesting, I wonder if those are teased out of the people that are actually taking creatine and working out or just taking creatine.
Starting point is 00:07:09 Just taking creatine. By itself. That's it. Because that's gotta have a compounding effect. Of course. Oh yeah. A lot of people that take creatine also are lifting weights. And lifting weights, we know the positive benefits of that.
Starting point is 00:07:20 The data suggests, the data on exercise, especially strength training, suggests that three days a week of strength training is more effective, significantly more effective than an antidepressant, like a drug, right? So that's what the data shows on that. But no, what I'm talking about is just creatine. They'll just take people who have low levels of depression, give them creatine, and they see a measurable result across the board.
Starting point is 00:07:41 A lot of people don't know that. It's got this kind of mood boosting, mood lifting effects. And then the third one, the third one, what is the third thing that nobody says? Decreases pain. No, no, that's a good question. Yeah, I wonder because it's joint pain and just like intramuscular fluid and I wonder if there's some kind of analgesic effect. Wow, that's great. I bet you. In fact, Doug, why don't you look that up, creatine and pain, perception of pain or pain tolerance. I bet you're probably seeing a...
Starting point is 00:08:11 That's a good guess, Justin. That's a really good one. He's pulling stuff out of your ass. I know. It's pretty good. He said ventilation. Yeah, I know. What did you take this morning?
Starting point is 00:08:19 Dude, those guys are gonna be so fired. What are you supplementing with this morning? Come on, peptides. Yeah, what are you supplementing this morning with? What does it say there, Doug? Yeah, so may potentially increase pain tolerance by reducing inflammation and potentially acting as a mild analgesic. Wow! Look at this guy. Well, I think we found a new person to do the fit tip in the morning. That's all I got.
Starting point is 00:08:38 I do want to hear. Bro, I beat you guys at a horse one time. You guys should go play basketball with you. That's a good comparison. That's a good comparison, that's right. Fair analogy. All right, so by the way, you're taking the gummy krateines? Yeah, well, all this krateines talk right now.
Starting point is 00:08:54 I like his gummy krateines. They're really, really good. I haven't missed a day yet. You're taking them because they're bad? I haven't missed a day yet. Hey, true story. My whole life, I'm the opposite of you. I totally understand the value of creatine, yet super inconsistent about it.
Starting point is 00:09:12 Most I ever was consistent was when I would go on a cut during competing time, so I'm already super measurable. That was the best time ever I was on creatine. And I was really good about when I went into the cut, I would time ever I was on Create Teen. And I was really good about when I went into the cut, I would make sure I was on the Create Teen. But you know why I did it? Yeah, so you weren't so flat looking. Yes. I noticed a difference in, because one of the hardest parts, and I'm going through this part right now again, because I'm in this cut on this series right now, is man, that limbo phase of
Starting point is 00:09:44 depleting your, you don't see yourself get shredded yet. You just feel fat. Yeah. You look worse. It's and I know, I know that's like 90% of the population where people pivot out and go like, Oh, this is not working. Cause you look worse. Cause you're all, all those muscle bellies are depleted because you're running on half a tank all the time and you're trying to shred body fat. And so the creatine would at least help kind of
Starting point is 00:10:08 fill my muscle bellies up with fluid and give me a little bit better look than if I was completely. We'll get there actually. I'm gonna talk about that at the end too, about that. But yeah, Legion crushes it with those because you eat them all the time. I don't miss.
Starting point is 00:10:19 Lemon flavors out there, lemon drop? Yeah, I've been testing. All right, so here's the third thing that nobody says about creatine. And mark words, I'm going to say this and it's true and just wait. They're going to start marketing exactly what I'm about to say very soon and that is of all of the potential supplements you could take for fat loss, creatine is the most effective period end of spore. The muscle building. That's right because first off the there's a myth around supplements that they burn body fat they make you burn workout stupid stupid stupid They don't do that
Starting point is 00:10:50 Some of them might make you eat less in a short term or give you a little bit more energy because they're stimulant But the whole like they burn more body fat whatever they don't What will burn more body fat is speeding up your metabolism in a real effective way not in some like fat oxidation We're up 3% whatever way like really speed up your metabolism in a real effective way, not in some like fat oxidation, we're at 3%, whatever way. Like really speed up the metabolism. Nothing does that better than building muscle. And there is no better muscle building supplement than creatine.
Starting point is 00:11:12 So as a fat burning supplement, creatine is actually amazing. So you take it, help yourself build muscle, set your metabolism in a place that's faster, then do your cut, watch what happens. You could also make the case too, because it's already proven too, to help retain muscle when you're in a calorie deficit.
Starting point is 00:11:31 Of course. So leaning out, keeping that muscle is gonna help so you could totally throw in that calorie. Now back to what you said about the muscles looking fuller or whatever. Sometimes women are afraid of taking creatine because they know that creatine will cause a little bit of weight gain on the scale. The thing is like bloat
Starting point is 00:11:47 Yeah, so to the tune of you know, average woman might gain two to three pounds With by taking creating maybe one pound like oh my god, I don't want to do that. And then they'll hear oh it causes water retention Oh my god, that's even worse It's two things one. It's not water retention like you're used to with bloat. Bloat is outside the muscle. It's what makes things look smooth and puffy. Cratein is intracellular fluid. It's hydrating, right? So here's what happens.
Starting point is 00:12:14 You gain two or three pounds on the scale, probably more like one pound. Your muscles look fuller, rounder, and leaner. You also, by the way, it causes more intracellular fluid in your skin as well. Maybe Doug can look this up. Look up cretein for skin. It is an incredible supplement for skin health and producing youthful, your skin looks more youthful. So when women take cretein, their skin is more hydrated, their muscles are fuller and feel firmer. And yes, the scale goes up a little bit, but throw your scale away because what it's basically
Starting point is 00:12:47 telling you is you've gone up in hydration. It's a great supplement to hydrate your body. Jesus. Yes. Massive commercial for creatine. It's a huge commercial. I know, I can't wait to see now. Hey listen, remember we said it first.
Starting point is 00:12:58 Wish we sold creatine. All the marketers are gonna start saying that to sell more creatine. What does it say there, Doug? So it may help maintain the tone and volume of facial muscles, thereby reducing the appearance of sagging and wrinkles. Oh, so that's going the other way.
Starting point is 00:13:12 Yeah, it's also that, but it's also good for skin. Interesting. I've read data on that. Wow. Yeah, good, good, good stuff. Wow. Yeah, yeah, so. So what do you do?
Starting point is 00:13:22 By the way, the data on creatine shows five grams. There is some data that suggests that some people may benefit from as much as 10 grams for cognitive performance. So even a little bit more. I'm only in five, if that's the question. Yeah, yeah. So here's what's funny.
Starting point is 00:13:40 Go ahead. It stimulates your cells of your skin to produce more collagen. Boom. There you go. I believe you. Don't you wish we sold Creighton? Yeah, I do, I do wish that.
Starting point is 00:13:51 So we can make 15, 15% margins. I know, I've been trying to get you guys to make a supplement with me for so long. Almost. I know, you know what's funny too is my addictive, obsessive nature with supplements. Mostly it's caused me harm, but one case it's caused me the benefit, which is creatine.
Starting point is 00:14:09 I haven't stopped taking creatine since I was 16. Since you were like, oh yeah. 16 years old. 16? I've never stopped. Never, never, never stopped. I actually wish I had written down, I don't think I've ever been super consistent other than that period of time.
Starting point is 00:14:22 I've always, actually, right now, the gummies thing has got me. I mean, it's easy. Like I have, well, I've got them everywhere too. So I have them here. I have them in my bedroom and I have them down in the kitchen. It's just like, it's like at any, and I'm like, Oh, I haven't taken it yet.
Starting point is 00:14:34 It's just like, it's brilliant. It really, it really is. It really is brilliant. But I gotta be careful though, cause I've been gumming everything and realized, well, they do have calories. So it's like, and I'm now I'm on this. 30 of them. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:45 I'm like, 300 calories with the gummies a day. It's a justify because it's all it's low calorie. If you take the recommended dose, it's only a five. It's like five calories or something like that. Yeah, it's nothing. Yeah. Well, no, it's, it's five per. So it's, it's 30, 30 calories.
Starting point is 00:15:00 But for a while that still is not much. You're eating those. But if I'm doing this, plus all the organifi ones, quickly you're up to like two, three hundred calories. But the fact that I've been taking it for so long has probably benefited my organs, my liver. I have the the genetic mutation that where I don't methylate very well, but I've never suffered from methylation issues probably because I've taken creatine forever. Have you guys seen the data on creatine and sleep deprivation?
Starting point is 00:15:28 No. So when you're sleep, there's always trying to find a way to help people, this is for employers, especially the military. What do we do when people are sleep deprived to improve their cognitive performance the day after? Creatine is one of the most effective things to help with sleep deprivation
Starting point is 00:15:42 and some of the effects of a lack of sleep. Kinda cool, right? Yeah, yeah. I know, I know, one of my favorite supplements. Super supplement. We didn't of the effects of a lack of sleep. Kind of cool, right? Yeah, yeah. I don't know, I don't know. One of my favorite supplements. Super supplement. We didn't get the best of sleep last night. Max again threw up.
Starting point is 00:15:51 What's going on? Yeah, this one was really weird. We were, last night, and we knew it was coming because it was like right around dinner time or something like that. He looks at Katrina and he's like, I'm gonna lay down, I don't feel so good. And Katrina looks at me and like, Oh, we just, yeah, we just had this last week and he's been good again. And I'm like, Oh man,
Starting point is 00:16:10 this isn't good. He's all quiet and cuddly and just wanting to lay and watch. And we're watching like, I haven't, what Katrina was watching some TV. It's like a show, like adult show. And he's like laying down watching. I'm like, okay, this is not good. This is not normally something that would hold his attention. And then right before bed, she's walking in the kitchen and he's like, oh my tummy hurts and he just Project all vomited all over the all over the tile on the floor Shit, so we're cleaning it up take him up to the bath and everything like that to clean him up
Starting point is 00:16:38 But then woke up this morning and went to school was so funny though because you know that happened She cleans him up. She takes them up to go to the bath. I stay downstairs and clean up the kitchen and stuff and I come up and she's like laughing and I'm like what's going on? She's just like your son's too much. So I've told you guys multiple times like like one of my proud dad moments or parent moment is the way we handled puking. That it's so like yeah like it's no big like, okay, here we go. Yeah, like it's no big deal. So he's in the bath already in like a better mood, so that, and Katrina's like, are you feeling okay?
Starting point is 00:17:10 He goes, yeah, mommy, you know, sometimes you just need to throw up and then you get better. And then she goes, oh, she goes, she goes, oh really? He goes, yeah, did I just teach you that? And she's like, ah, I think I knew that one. She's like, oh, he's like, oh, okay, yeah, mommy, sometimes you just need to throw up one time
Starting point is 00:17:25 and then you feel better. And so she's like, and then this morning, woke up and he had a little bit of a runny nose still, but then, which is also funny because the day before, he was in this mood of like, I don't wanna go to school, school's boring. I'm like, when you say that, you only say that after a weekend when he's had two days off, right?
Starting point is 00:17:42 And then he goes to school and then this morning, Katrina's like, I think we should stay home, so you feel better. I days off, right? And then he goes to school. And then this morning Katrina's like, I think we should stay home, so you feel better. I don't wanna stay home, I wanna go to school. Yeah, yeah, 24 hours. But I found out why though, cause they were doing like some Rudolph project at the school cause they're making like reindeer
Starting point is 00:17:56 and he's doing, and he loves Christmas shit, right? So it's like, that's the real reason why he wants to go. My kids have been, we've been sick for a month. Like we had one cold, it started with, It's going around right now. It started with my son, then it went to my daughter. So there's like, he's sick for a little while, it started getting better, then she's sick for a little while,
Starting point is 00:18:14 then she starts getting better. And then it started again with him, and then my daughter and I had it. So it's like a whole month of people being sick. But finally everybody seems okay now. I've had a weird, well, so so ever had to come home from school yesterday I told you guys about like him playing and building a fort and all that. Oh, yeah poison up so bad Oh, he's he's allergic to it
Starting point is 00:18:33 I'm pretty sure cuz it was like a systemic it like his whole body had like a rash and then Finally he had to get like the oral steroid for it and everything and take him in but like poor guy, dude, I got home and he was just like, ugh, itches everywhere, dad. And he just sit there like watching TV. And so he's gotta like, I think we're gonna hold him back one more day, because it's just so uncomfortable for him to do anything, like getting up and.
Starting point is 00:18:59 I've never had poison oak or poison ivy, but it looks miserable. I had it real bad once, and it was just like, it was all over my right side, and then after that, I didn't have it, it was weird, I was immune to it after that. A lot of times you are. For him.
Starting point is 00:19:13 A lot of times people, once they get it, and then your body adapts to it. Yeah, it's like the, you know, there's some stories of people eating little bits of it. To try to get immunity? Yeah. So does it get that hermetic effect? I told you guys about my uncle, right?
Starting point is 00:19:25 Well, he's passed away now, but he's my grandfather's generation. He came to this country, these are old school, like from the hills, Sicilian, like poor or whatever, came to this country and was working, I don't remember, he was working at some plantation or something up in the hills,
Starting point is 00:19:39 and then went off and had to use the bathroom and wiped himself with some leaves, because that's what they some leaves and use this yeah he's poison oak I think all up I think like three times and the first time was really bad the second time was mild and then the third time was like almost nothing and then never again and we like played in it like we grew up in it where I grew up I can't keep him away from it. Yeah. He's just always in it. In the exact same way. We had all this acreage behind us,
Starting point is 00:20:07 so with trees, and we used to build forts and do exactly that. It was like impossible. And even though you got it, you still kept going back there. Yeah. And eventually got to a point where we wouldn't get it anymore. But it took, I think like three times. But each time was like way less. The first time was probably, I remember how bad it was.
Starting point is 00:20:23 And then the second and third time was like super mild and then never again after that. I got to tell you guys, so you guys know that I was on a CT Fletcher's podcast last week. What was that? Okay. Well that's cause you know, you obviously know, yeah. CT like pretty well. Yeah. And I, a lot of respect for him. Uh, just, just, he's just so, he's he is, we is right. But he's got this podcast called F y'all.
Starting point is 00:20:46 Fuck y'all. That's the name of the podcast. That's the name of the podcast. So I get on there and it's a great time. Him and his co-hosts are great and we're talking. At one point, CT is like, over training is a myth. You can't over train. He goes, man, I don't, you know, and he's talking shit, right? So I'm trying to break down and explain to him.
Starting point is 00:21:02 And he goes, he starts talking shit to me. He goes, and a great witch. He he goes, he starts talking shit to me, he goes, you're a great bitch. He's like, you know, you science guys, I used to make fun of you guys back in the day with your poindexters, with your big red glasses. You know, I'd kick your head off, and I'm laughing nerds. Listen, I used to train people, I have experience, so that's just the science guy.
Starting point is 00:21:18 But we're going back and forth, and I'm kind of explaining and over-training, and I'm trying to prove my point, and I'm saying, well, whatever volume you started at, eventually you added more right you couldn't do all that at first and can you train like that no no and I'm like well that's cuz you're over training but he still disagreed anyway I read the comments under because he posts they posted it on YouTube they don't have a
Starting point is 00:21:35 huge following YouTube but I'm looking at the comment bro these are like CT Fletcher like die hard oh they're like little drums. Are they roasting you? Oh my god this guy's just making up for his lack of dedication. I'm reading the whole thing. Oh my god. Fighting for your laziness huh? The comments are great. When I talked to him too on the on a show he said I could see why you were successful as a trainer and I wasn't because the way he communicates fitness right and I'm like but I bet you found a few versions of you that you probably helped out quite a bit he was yeah well problem is there's very few CT Fletcher's out there yeah you know most people we're working with are just every day but anyway it's funny to see the comments people talking crap you know yeah at one point I made the point about like lack of sleep I'm like what if you lost you know you didn't get good sleep one night we're
Starting point is 00:22:26 talking about that in the comments I was like this guy just mad cuz his wife won't let him have a full night of sleep you guys stay away from YouTube comments bro it's like addicting there's a part of you that wants to see just out of curiosity and then you go down the rabbit hole and it's like all bad there There's a part of you that wants to see just out of curiosity and then you go down the rabbit hole and it's like all bad. There's some comments that could get under my skin, but most of them don't anymore these days. Most of them, I read them. And if you guys know that, if there's like a comment negative, you know,
Starting point is 00:22:54 then it's typically screenshot and send you guys. Yeah, it's, it's good for a laugh and you kind of know where people are coming from. It's like, you know, at one point I was like younger and had like dumb ideas too. Yeah. It's like, you know at one point I was like younger and had like dumb ideas, too. Yeah it's like we get I've tried to make the habit of before I do like Screenshotting or talking to like Katrina or somebody like just to work it out and then realize like what am I doing? Respond to this person like yep
Starting point is 00:23:15 If I catch myself starting to type something like that, okay You got a reaction I mean for me to do that and then like unpacking going like what am I doing? Like there's no reason for me to even respond to this. Like I don't need to explain myself to this random kid. No, it's mother's major reaction. There's nothing better to do. It would try to talk shit to me on the internet. You know, I will say I've been, I think I brought this up already, but I mean, it's continued now because I've been
Starting point is 00:23:39 doing this now for almost three months. That, cause we do talk a lot of shit about YouTube comments. The response I've gotten on this journey has been overwhelmingly positive. Yeah. That was really refreshing because I went into it like, no, I'm like, oh, here we go. I just can't put myself out there where I'm like, document. I'm coming from a weak place. I go, let it go. You don't say, here it comes. You know what I'm saying? So I was like all ready to be gassed up and everything and I was like, Oh wow. Everybody actually has been
Starting point is 00:24:07 pretty supportive during that process. And even like I said, I definitely have brought it on myself with all the injuries and the setbacks and everything. I think that humanized you more than anything. Obviously. I mean, obviously I think that's what has happened is that, um, I think people just have, I, you know, there has to be, there still is a lot of the fake bullshit. There's a lot of everybody that puts out the best version of themselves, right? I have to look cool. I've got to be the best lighting. I got to be the strong. And it's like all that other stuff, which you're getting, you're getting all the other stuff with me. You're getting all of the...
Starting point is 00:24:37 They would have edited that out and then just, you know, showed you your progression. Well, the market, I mean, it rewards the fakeness. So it's, the incentives are all there, right? To put out your- That's such a good point. It's so, it's just, it's a self feeding kind of monster. Even the market for authenticity, because there is a market for
Starting point is 00:24:56 on the authenticity. And so what people do is they fake it by putting forth something that they think is embarrassing, but you could tell it's, uh, it's, it's also fake, right? Like the, let me pick up my phone and cry, to the social media right now. It's like, what point you had to stop at one point and say I better record these tears,
Starting point is 00:25:16 and post that type of deal, so, but I get it, nobody wants to post their worst, that's for sure. Yeah, especially too, like the, you guys know, like when you're going through stuff like that, there's a bit of your own psychological battle that you're dealing with. And so to be documenting it and having to share with the world, like, I mean, I was talking off air to like Dylan going through this process,
Starting point is 00:25:37 I was just like, the shittiest part about this whole thing is that, you know, if this happened, and I wasn't documenting all of it, I actually wouldn't even sweat it that much. I'd just be like, ah, whatever. I'll just take a few weeks off. You know what I'm saying? Like, I've got my whole life ahead of me.
Starting point is 00:25:47 I don't need to train for four weeks. So you can just recover this now. It's like, oh, I have this like, you know, an incentive and an obligation to put in document content. And so it's just like, that part of it is the part that's tough, where in real life, I probably, if I wasn't documenting it, I'd probably, ah, just break for four weeks. But I can't do that to the audience. Talking about documenting in real life I probably, if I wasn't documenting it, I'd probably, ah, just break for four weeks.
Starting point is 00:26:05 But I can't do that to the audience. Talking about documenting in real life and stuff, what's up with this audit of, who are they auditing the government where they came back? Pentagon. The seventh audit in a row of, we can't account for anything, $842 billion.
Starting point is 00:26:20 They can't account for it? Isn't that convenient? Yeah. But you know where that is, by the way, you guys know where that is? Hush way. You guys know where that is? Hush money. That's all, that's dark money. Drug money.
Starting point is 00:26:28 That's dark money that goes in funding. Funding wars and funding. Deep state type of shit, yeah. Like shenanigans. Yep, that's crazy. That is so, you know what would happen if the IRS came to your business or just used a personal individual? In fact, they're gonna start auditing,
Starting point is 00:26:43 I think, what is it, PayPal and Apple Pay and shit like that. That's over six hundred bucks. I thought they were doing that. If the government can't, like, if they can't figure that out for the government, how is that supposed to, how are we supposed to come clean with our tax?
Starting point is 00:26:55 Shit, it's not that they can't figure it out. I know they can. What I'm saying is that the standard has to be set, you know, and then peer into it. There's no consequences. It's a rig game. That's why they's no consequences. It's a rigged game. That's why they keep doing it. It's a rigged game.
Starting point is 00:27:07 By the way, that's not their money. Everybody needs to understand this. No, it's our money. The government doesn't have money. That's the most frustrating part. We have money. They use our money. So they just took your money.
Starting point is 00:27:15 That's $842 billion. Explain to me why we should get to us. That's us, of our money that went to something. We don't even know where it goes. That went to go study, you know, homosexual goats in Afghanistan. Have you guys seen that? Have you guys seen the stuff that they spend money on?
Starting point is 00:27:28 That is crazy. Yeah, it's absurd. Have you seen some of it? They took monkeys and they gave them math to see how they would react, or something like that. They paid remote viewers to look at Mars. Yeah, dude. I swear to God, look at the CIA.
Starting point is 00:27:42 They sent me that story. Explain that, they paid. The CIA used remote viewers, so these are like people who could like, psychic, CIA. They sent me that story. Wait, wait, wait, explain that. The CIA used remote viewers, so these are like people who could like, psychic, right, they could see far away. Shut your, they paid them an exorbitant amount of money for this. To look at Mars.
Starting point is 00:27:52 Yeah. And to tell them what they saw on Mars. Like, come on, dude. Just stop it. At this point, it's a massive troll. I think it's just to fuck everybody, just to mess with people, just to be like, listen, we can do whatever we want,
Starting point is 00:28:03 we're gonna do just weird. You know what I think it is? I think it's like, I work at the CIA, Adam's my cousin, and I'm like, listen, we can do whatever we want, we're gonna do just weird. You know what I think it is? I think it's like, I work at the CIA, Adam's my cousin, and I'm like, Adam, you wanna make some money? All right, bro, come on over. Dude, get your remote viewing degree. We're gonna promote you to remote view some shit, okay? Just make some stuff up, don't worry about it.
Starting point is 00:28:16 I'll give you 50 grand, we'll split the money. Yeah. I'm sorry. I see red rocks. Yeah, yeah, what did they say that they saw? They saw like a pyramid and like an old civilization. Stop it. Yes.
Starting point is 00:28:28 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, we're getting trolled. These are real documents. I think you can go on their website. Oh, here we go. In 1984, the CIA conducted a remote viewing experiment as part of Project Stargate. Oh, this is old.
Starting point is 00:28:40 Oops, okay. So they just released it. They just like, classified it. Oh, I was gonna say, why are you guys even talking about it right now? No, they just declassified it. Oh, wow. OK. They just released it. They just like, they just classified it. Oh, I was going to say, why are you guys even talking about it right now? They just declassified it. Oh, wow. You know what?
Starting point is 00:28:50 That, I think, is also really brilliant. Hilarious. Who was it who figured out the time of, if we let a certain amount of time go by, then people don't give a fuck anymore? Like, that is how. Oh, they mastered that. Yeah, they've mastered.
Starting point is 00:29:04 Like, that could, imagine, if that came out, that just happened six months ago. It's is how. Oh, they mastered that, yeah. Yeah, they've mastered. Like that, imagine if that came out that just happened six months ago, it's on every front news and we're talking about it. Oh my God, I can't believe they did that. Oh, it's 1984. And so we just move along and just keep going. And then something comes out for 1985. Like what is the time that it takes for us to give?
Starting point is 00:29:19 Isn't the 20 years, don't they say it's the 20 years before they release something or something like that? I think it's a generation. They wait like a generation. I think they wait for the people to die That were a part of it and then there's no accountability that really cared. Yeah Bring him in and question them That they the CIA or that they said yeah, we probably played a role in J in JFK's murder
Starting point is 00:29:38 That was not that long ago. Very recent. Yeah, that was very recent. Remember that was a big conspiracy That was the conspiracy Came from right yes. It was from recent. Remember, that was a big conspiracy. That was the conspiracy. That's where the word conspiracy came from, right? Yes. It was from the JFK thing, right? And then Martin Luther King, they lost the civil lawsuit because they were involved in his death. That wasn't even that long ago.
Starting point is 00:29:56 I think it's interesting just how many people don't know the origin of the word conspiracy theory. They came up with it. Yeah. And why they came up with it. Like, cause a lot of people say that as like this negative, like, oh, he's a conspiracy theorist. Like, okay, so then you know the truth about things like that.
Starting point is 00:30:13 You mean, cause you know, the government made that word up, right? To deter you from the truth, right? Use critical thinking. What was that meme? It's like, what's the difference between conspiracy theory. Yes, I love that one. Yeah, six months.
Starting point is 00:30:22 Yeah, and the truth. Yeah, or a year or whatever like that. These days it seems to be kind of like, that's crazy. Now they're saying, by the way, that for example, COVID, like with almost, they're like saying now, this is the official, like, yeah, it's probably came from a lab, probably. Hey, can you give me a high level overview
Starting point is 00:30:37 of the article I sent to you and I didn't read? Oh, no, we don't want to get into that. Oh, really? Yeah, that's too... Why, why? Here's why I want it, so I get people... Okay, so here's the gist of it. All right, here's't wanna get into that. Oh really? Yeah, that's too... Why, why, here's why I wanna, so I, like I get people... Okay, so here's the gist of it, alright, here's the gist of it, this article, the gist of it is that there is a global capitalist cabal,
Starting point is 00:30:56 okay, so, that kinda makes sense, right, like... I won't put my seatbelt on. Like, oh yeah, Justin's about to get a seatbelt. I didn't say that to you yet, I had to pass this guy first and then I'll take it through there. Relax over there. Take some of the kebabs. So, so now, this kind of, I get this part right, like the open markets now, ever since the fall of the Berlin Wall have really grown, and you have these like multinational companies that trade with each other and, you know, they run things, right?
Starting point is 00:31:23 These companies around the world, especially in Western nations, they work with each other and you know they run things right these companies around the world especially in Western nations they work with each other in the governments that they work under don't really make that big of a difference unless there's some big legislation but basically it's like these big this cabal right and they run the show and what they do is they look at things and they say okay public sentiment is moving in this direction or that direction and if things start to look bad for them, they'll give popular sentiment a quote unquote win to placate them. And so what the article said is the win was
Starting point is 00:31:53 allowing Donald Trump to get elected, allowing that to happen. Everybody's gonna feel cool now, but we're still gonna run the show. We're still gonna do what we want, but we need everybody to chill out and feel like they're happy that they won. That was what the article. Okay. Okay. Now I get the I get the the the sentiment behind it because
Starting point is 00:32:11 Historically kind of seems that way like no matter whose wins seem cyclical. It's always the guy that they're always Kind of doing the same kind of thing. So but that was the whole article was about that. Yeah that they let that happen Yeah, that's too whole article was about that. That they let that happen. But that's too like, let's see. Well, I mean, it was sent to me by someone who actually I think is pretty level-headed, right? Who's somebody who doesn't identify as left or right and is always like suspicious of what we're being told and what's probably really happening.
Starting point is 00:32:37 Which I definitely, I feel that way. I feel like a lot of it's all a horse and pony show or whatever it's called. I think that everybody's just like, we're all being entertained, but really behind the scenes, like moves are being made. The only reason why I, I maybe I don't fool heartedly agree with that right now is for the first, it really felt like, and maybe that was that good of a job,
Starting point is 00:32:59 right? To make me feel that way. But I mean, they made some serious attempts like on his life, on throwing him in prison, like it felt like we were really trying to stop him or somebody was really trying to stop him from getting an office and it did not feel like they wanted that. And it so it felt like whoever they are and this... What's that quote, is it Bastiat that said it's like none are more hopelessly enslaved than those who believe they're free.
Starting point is 00:33:25 So the argument libertarians have always made was that, the illusion of choice is what keeps people, you know, quote unquote enslaved. So they have their winners on either side, they allow us to fight over who we think's gonna win, ultimately they don't give a shit, they don't care. Because the person that wins is like, cool, we're still,
Starting point is 00:33:45 we're still going to run the show. Everybody feels better now. And then, Oh, everybody hates that guy. All right, we'll let the other side, you know, win now type of deal. That's what libertarians have been saying for kind of a long time. I got to show you guys and hopefully Doug can pull this up. This new technology. I have no idea like what application would be used with this technology. It looked cool But I'm like why like you put so much effort into this. It's like
Starting point is 00:34:11 pixelated blocks like so you can Whatever you do like gesturing wise your hand or like with objects or whatever and you place it on this grid It'll elevate it like three-dimensionally watching it Okay, so you can control the blocks with your hands. Remotely, yeah. Oh. And so it moves these like blocks up to the degree of where you're- What would you use this for?
Starting point is 00:34:34 Exactly. Well, maybe not this specifically, but I could see this technology being like people could work- Like to tickle you? Yeah. People could work from far away if you really fine tune this and perform surgeries or you know hug each other or move boxes like that. I mean you would use probably a robot for that's cool right which is it's just kind of weird. Yeah but this is
Starting point is 00:34:52 simulating your actual hand. It's like a it's like a 3d Etch-a-Sketch like version. That's why it's weird. It looks really cool I mean it's like a I'm trying cool I'm looking I'm trying to figure out maybe not this application, but if they made it more like where it feels like the person's hand, then I could see all kinds of that. That would be weird. Could you imagine like a, like a version of you that could actually reach out? Like you could have like a, like a big block. That's all those pixelated. They just like this virtually. I can like,
Starting point is 00:35:23 it'd be weird. It's so weird. I don't know. I don't know. Interesting though. Virtually I can like Interesting though, that's super fascinating. It is how do you get the funny what to do? Yes, how do you get into this? How do you get funding for that? Like how do you pitch it? I don't know. Did you look at like how what the like hey you put like a table? You're like, hey you pass me the salt It's like Yeah, yeah, I couldn't make. It's like, jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj trying to come up with like application. I just, I don't know. Well, speaking of like ideas that didn't do so well, so a lot of the shirt ideas that we have. Great, what a beautiful transition. What a beautiful transition right there.
Starting point is 00:36:11 A lot of our merchandise that. That's a great transition. It's crazy sale. Can we just call them tchotchkes? A lot of it are shirts that just didn't sell very well. Okay, we have to. But I think they're valuable. We're number one worst sellers.
Starting point is 00:36:23 There was a time when we allowed Sal to put his two cents in. It wasn't just that. It wasn't just me. There's just one. There's one shirt that I said, take a chance on it. We used to let Sal sometimes pick an idea of, this is a great idea, I think. I don't know why I said this one.
Starting point is 00:36:39 Because obviously, he's one of the bosses and owners. He can do whatever the hell he wants. And so we'll get boxes of shirts that we open up. We're like, uh, I don't know, bro. I don't know if this is a thing. So we have this inventory, which is dead stock, right? So we, uh, I don't know if you guys even know, you guys know that that that all that money back there is like lost for us because you can't write it off. So like, it's not like you, you would expend, we spend that and it becomes a tax deduction for us at all. It's just like dead,
Starting point is 00:37:03 dead stock. So we got gotta get rid of it. And so it's stuff that we would never put on the website typically to sell, but that we've made in the past when we had these random ideas. Maybe. So you can get it. Collectors items. I mean, it's like fire sale, right?
Starting point is 00:37:18 I believe Katrina and them are dropping it. Like $5 a piece. Oh, wow. That's it. Yeah, I think it costs us more to make them. Well, one of the shirts says Carnival King, cause you guys call me that because I always you know whenever you do some kind of weird game I win yeah so you guys made you know what else is there inside jobs?
Starting point is 00:37:35 No it's less handouts more hand jobs. I thought that was a funny funny thing. This was during the pandemic yes it was during the pandemic when we were printing money like crazy. Also stressed out. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's stressed out angry. Sal comes up with an idea to make a shirt. It feels like less hand Reno nine one one. That's more hand jobs. I could see somebody wearing that though. If you wear that, sure. You're a champion. Someone's gonna wear that to one of our live events. I mean, we have, we have. I love you. So I do, so every now and then we do have stuff like this
Starting point is 00:38:07 and when we get a chance to go to these live events, those people remember to like wear those and I'm like, oh, that's like a real diehard fan. If you got that shirt. Well, our original shirt was zero Fs. I mean, I have to say the whole word. I remember saying zero Fs. I might have been responsible for that.
Starting point is 00:38:23 You did. We wore those to Adam's competition. Bodybuilding competition. We actually showed up in shirts that said that. Everybody's just like, what is up with us? Moms. We were all confident. Yeah, it's sizzling on the shirt.
Starting point is 00:38:37 Yeah, we have 100 downloads. We were nobody. Yeah, dude, we thought we were so awesome. I think we were more than that by that time. We had a few. We had a few. Yeah. I don't think we ever had only 100.
Starting point is 00:38:50 That'd be an interesting thing for you to look back on Lipson and see what the original month of downloads looked like. First episode download. I want to say we were getting at least a couple thousand. I believe we were getting. Because we had my social media, which was obviously not big enough to move. Well we had one episode that went viral. That's why it was the cross one. Yeah viral and in podcasting. Yeah compared to what we had. It wasn't like viral. It went viral to us but we would
Starting point is 00:39:18 consider our worst episode today was did better than that. Of course. So yeah. But we still thought we were badass. But But I think, I don't know. I think we were in the thousands, I think pretty early on. Maybe. Something like that. Hey, I found a cool survey. I wanna see if you guys can guess what the survey said.
Starting point is 00:39:35 So the title of the survey was, what hobbies women find most attractive that men do? Woodworking. So what hobbies, wow, you just answered that real quick. I feel like you look shit like this up. No, is that true? You probably looked this up. I guarantee that's true.
Starting point is 00:39:51 I swear to God I didn't look this up. I just think that's true. Anything handy. So woodworking is one, two, three, four, fifth. So woodworking is definitely up there. Okay, so let's guess here, come on. Any other? Yeah, yeah, so other hobbies?
Starting point is 00:40:03 Yeah. Okay, let me think here. Weightlifting. No, let me think here. Weightlifting. No, not even out there. Did you know weightlifting is an island hobby? No, I can't believe that somebody would put that on. I don't think you'd consider that a hobby.
Starting point is 00:40:11 Do you think weightlifting is a hobby? Well, I mean, there's another exercise thing in here. Out of school, that's a hobby. There is? Hold on, this is interesting. That's a cool survey. That's weird, though. That women, women, women.
Starting point is 00:40:21 Yeah, what's number one? Hunting. Well, hold on, back up. So, no. Is that on there? Hunting's on there, dude. I don't think women think that's hot. hunting well hold on back up so is that on there hunting is on there dude i don't think women think that's hot probably cooking who are these women doug very good that was number four that's a good guess so think real quick okay grown man you're you're going out with a girl you meet up with their friends and then they you they find
Starting point is 00:40:39 out a hobby about you what which one do you think of was cooking yeah that's great do they like drawing or art oh painting okay yeah playing guitar music oh yeah music very good that's number three yeah yeah playing music always yeah just serenade them is that funny half of these would make you a nerd in high school yes but all of a sudden as an adult man it's like. That's why Justin does so well. Maybe Dodgers and Dragons is one of your other hobbies. What else is in there? I hope so. He's already got guitar and woodworking. Is he on any other? Is any of us on any of these hobbies? I mean we all do some of them. Okay. But number one, you guys probably won't guess. Really? Yeah, I don't think you will. Cuddling? What? That's a hobby? That'd be creepy. What is it? What's your hobby? I like to cuddle. Tell me what it is. Reading. Reading, number one. Yeah, we should have got that. Yeah. Yeah, shame on us. Readers are leaders.
Starting point is 00:41:35 I got, I got qualms. Yeah. Why are you such a bully? We should have got that. There's all these like. Shame on us for not getting a reading. So reading was number one. Okay. Number two was foreign languages. Of course, right? You can speak different languages. I actually wouldn't guess that. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:53 Reading I should have got foreign languages. What about having an accent? Because you don't even need to have like a different language. That's a hobby. That's the, what's your option? Just use a guy with an accent. I practice accents. That works sometimes.
Starting point is 00:42:02 You guys ever did that? No. I've never done that. I've never done that. I've never done that. I've never done that. I've never done that. Cuz you don't even need to have like a hot That works sometimes you ever did that no Works, you know bar and you just pretend that you're from a foreign country. Did you really? Yeah, what accent would use? I would be terrible. It's not all attract. I wouldn't be able to know Yeah, it's like even more the British and in like I really you did this. You really went to a bar and acted like an Englishman. Like one time, but like, it was, it worked. It was hilarious.
Starting point is 00:42:29 Yeah. Did you do like a good English accent? No, it was terrible. It was awful. Cheerio. If there was like a real English person there, they would have like, known right away.
Starting point is 00:42:39 Called you out. Yeah, so reading number one, foreign language number two. I got one and two, bro. I got one and two. I like to read and I can speak another language account the way you read what other language I read yeah you're not really a reader to me yeah I feel like I'm more of a reader than you're a reader I think I think articles just reading articles I don't like being read to yeah yeah exactly or or
Starting point is 00:43:00 delegating to your wife does that count we do we read books together I's funny? This counts, too. We read books together. I audible. That doesn't even count. I didn't even say I read, cause I just listened. I remember when we first started, I used to send Sal books to read, and then quickly I learned, like, oh, I'll just send it to Jessica.
Starting point is 00:43:13 That's how this is gonna get read. So I sent it to him, it's not getting read. All right, so, third, playing instrument, fourth, cooking, then it goes woodworking, painting, writing, gardening, swimming, photography, there you go, Doug. This is a stupid one, astronomy. That's an attractive hobby.
Starting point is 00:43:29 Ladies. What are these, hippie chicks? Ladies, if a guy says he's into astronomy, run. I'm really into crystals. Hiking, archery, blacksmithing, and then traveling. I'm down with the blacksmithing. Oh, traveling's a hobby. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:43:44 I did a little metal-er-ese did a little I think sounds like you're wealthy Yeah, we like to do for fun. I like to travel. He's rich I'll take that Anyway, kind of cool, huh? Yeah, that was interesting. I know I'd like to see one for men Like what are male attractive hobbies do we're that simple bro for yeah for with us and If it like what hobby would it be considered attractive? I mean, lifting weights. For sure.
Starting point is 00:44:08 But they're not counting that though. They should. They put swimming on here. Anything I say is gonna sound sexist. I feel the same way too. I'm gonna keep my mouth shut over here. I'm gonna keep my mouth shut over here. Yeah, this is a trap. I like what they do. Everything.
Starting point is 00:44:17 Cooking is attractive for both sexes, I would say. I love that. Sure. You know what I mean? Yeah. I guess, I mean, I actually, motherhood is like super, I think that's something. That's not a hobby though. I know, but it's like watching my wife do that. It's the most attractive thing. I think something. Dancing, dude.
Starting point is 00:44:35 Oh my God. Good dancer. Yeah, that's not bad. I love, yeah. That's not bad, somebody said that kind of creepy. Yeah, I know. Like I said, it's a trap, man. I know how to dance on creepier. What kind of creepy. Yeah, I know. Like I said, that's a trap, man. I know how to not sound creepier.
Starting point is 00:44:46 What kind of dancing are you talking about? I like that dancing too, Justin. Okay, bro. I like, no, you're right, dude, motherhood. For me personally, of all the things, there's two things actually that come to mind for my wife. That's probably the better thing to just go with. By the way, I bet you both sexes consider
Starting point is 00:45:03 that super attractive. To see the opposite sex. Parent. To be with kids or to like kids or to play with kids. Katrina says that to me all the time. That's a compliment we give each other all the time. That's also a turn off. When I see somebody who doesn't like you and someone tells me I don't like kids, something's wrong with you. Or they're dismissive to a kid or something like that.
Starting point is 00:45:23 Weird, yeah. No, I think that I also find attractive because, I mean, obviously Katrina is within the business and so I get an opportunity to see her have really important conversations either with staff or people that we have contracts with. That's attractive to me. Attractive to watch her. Confidence. Yes.
Starting point is 00:45:42 Handle and navigate through a lot of those challenging conversations. That's an attractive quality and then of course... Yeah, my wife, she thinks she's confused over this. I'll come home and she'll be cooking and doing something with the kids and she'll be like, and I'm like, I can't, like I'm on her. She's like, I don't even have makeup on. I'm wearing sweats. I'm like, you got an apron on, you're cooking, you're with the kids. Like, there's nothing more attractive. You're just taking care of us. I wonder if that's all, you think that's a most meant? You think that's a common? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:46:08 That's a good question. I think that there's a natural, it feels good to feel like you're being taken care of, probably. I bet both sexes feel that way. I don't think I knew that until we were parents. If you asked me at 29, hey, what are you into? I wouldn't have been like, oh, watching a woman parent. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:26 That wouldn't be like, I wouldn't say that as like a top, you know, thing that I thought I would like. So that was a surprise. Yeah, yeah, that was a surprise. Oh, yeah. That's like I told you, Courtney, take care of her grandma. Like, I wouldn't have put that as like a, oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:46:39 Like, I'm super attracted to that. Oh, yeah. But I was. You did say that. Yeah. Something Jessica pointed out when we first started dating is that, and I just, I was raised this way, but when we were You did say that. Something Jessica pointed out when we first started dating is that, and I was raised this way,
Starting point is 00:46:46 but when we were, like we'd be walking, and I would always, if she was closest to the street. Stand on the inside of the curb. Yeah, I would always stand on the inside of the curb. And that's just, I was raised that way. You take the dangerous side or whatever. Anyway, it's good stuff. All right, you mentioned Organifi earlier
Starting point is 00:47:02 because they also have gummies. I wanna say they have a huge sale right now black Friday He will code so our discount and their black Friday discount. Oh, it's together. Yes So you get 20% off with ours? Yeah, and then you could take an additional 20% off with the black Friday watch out when you spend over a hundred, right? So if you go through our link so $100 or more you'll over 100, right? So if you go through our link, so $100 or more, you'll get 20 and then 20 again when you go to Organifi's site.
Starting point is 00:47:27 Wow, stock up. Which is, yeah, get everything. Get their Shilla Jeep before it runs out. I was gonna say, you better do that fast. I'm pretty sure last year when they had Black Friday, so they sold out of a lot of stuff. They sold out very quickly because everybody got super excited or whatever.
Starting point is 00:47:42 Anyway, do you guys see that, was it Denmark? One of the first countries to pass a meat tax? What? A meat tax? Yeah, let me look it up. I think it was. What? Dang, they just won Miss Universe. Did they? Denmark, yes. Oh, okay. Really?
Starting point is 00:47:56 I pay attention to things like that. Is that true? Come on, fact check this guy. No, he is right. He is, I do remember. Okay, so Denmark Denmark starting in 2030, farmers will have to pay $43 per ton of methane on emissions from livestock.
Starting point is 00:48:11 What? This will double by 2035. So I don't, this is, in my opinion, terrible policy. You're gonna get people to eat less meat, which means they're gonna eat more of other shit, typically processed foods. Whatever you think you're saving in terms of the environment, you're gonna lose in terms of poor health. So dumb. Yeah, I know. I know, crazy. They're taxing the wrong food.
Starting point is 00:48:39 They're the only ones doing that. Is that her right there? Yeah. You were right, dude. How did you know that? I'm such a random Justin follows deserved it. Do you follow Miss Universe? Is it? No, I just that's on my feed. Somehow. Yeah. Randomly. Just give away your explore page. That's why I saw it. Yeah. Oh, my wife approved. It got politicized. How come? Oh God. You know? Yeah, dude. How It got politicized. How? Oh God. Really? Yeah, dude.
Starting point is 00:49:06 How? Both sides politicized things. They're so stupid. Which one was the one where the transgender one? I don't think it was Miss Universe, was it? It was like last year. Yeah, I know, that happened. Put transgender Miss Universe and see if that was.
Starting point is 00:49:17 Was it Miss Universe? I didn't know what it was. I don't think it was. I thought that's what you were actually talking about at first. Oh, maybe. Maybe 2023? Did they win or they competed? Oh, I think they competed. So that's about it first. Maybe. 2023? Did they win or they competed?
Starting point is 00:49:25 Oh, I think they competed. So that's what it was. It's like, oh, a biological woman won Miss Universe, yay. So like making a political thing. It's like, all right, everybody relax. Whatever. I know. Oh, okay, that's what you mean by it.
Starting point is 00:49:38 That's it. I think that's why you probably saw it, right? It was like political commentary. It was just there. Trying to back you up. Thanks, yeah. Trying to help about this. I totally broke. What type of play that game where we take We saw it right it was in your was like political commentaries just there What type of play that game where we take everybody's explore But he's like all all basketball cars right now Is it really a it gives it used to be a lot of Bulldogs?
Starting point is 00:49:57 But I haven't been on my my Bulldog video kick in a while check and watch I don't go I'm not barely ever on Instagram starting to use my page. I just use X, but it's all like news. It's all like news of what's going around the world or whatever. But social media is so negative, man. Do you know the stats on that? I mean, we talked a lot about when Musk bought it and it went through this like transitional period
Starting point is 00:50:20 of struggling and then, is X like thriving right now? Is it like- Their usage is up, all the advertisers of struggling and is X like thriving right now? Their usage is up, all the advertisers that said that they would boycott them now have come back. I don't know what that means in terms of profitability, but I do know that their usage has gone up quite a bit. And they definitely, especially after the election, people now see them as like, oh you guys,
Starting point is 00:50:44 that was gonna make or break them pretty much. I feel like it's gotta be doing good because I think it would be the top of the news if it was struggling. That's what I feel like if there was an opportunity. Tech Crunch always tries to give them a black eye. Yeah, so I feel like if it was really struggling, right, it's gonna try to bring. Yeah, it says their revenue, but is that profitable?
Starting point is 00:50:59 Compared to nine billion. Compared to previous years. Yeah, it could post a loss. I don't know, it's still far from profitability, but it wasn't doing good before either, was it? When it was Twitter. No, no, no, that was one. But I know usage is up quite a bit.
Starting point is 00:51:14 Yeah, it doesn't tell me anything. No, but I don't know. But social media is so interesting, it's such a negative, and trying to control your algorithm so hard, because your brain automatically, you hover and click on shit that's alarming and the next thing you know algorithm changes
Starting point is 00:51:29 and then it's in your face and it's hard to reverse out of. You get all these like metal videos now where they try and like cover pop songs and stuff. It's like a whole new genre. You've seen a few of those but there's some guys that are really talented out there. Oh the pop guys that makes it. They take pop songs and they turn them into metal.
Starting point is 00:51:46 Dude, there's some really talented guys. Really, like, there's some guys that are so talented. There's two of them in particular that I follow, that I know you follow, that I would probably consider going to like a concert to watch them do that. Yeah, almost like a full set. Yes, like a full, for a couple hours,
Starting point is 00:52:02 watching you take some pop song and do it and disturbed voice is Fascinating like they could even do it live like somebody throws an idea out there They could just come you know, he's talking. Yeah, it's so I've been listening to Christian metal. I've been working out for that Yeah, it's freaking dude. It's heavy. I can Give you a bunch of bangers. These guys don't believe me Justin. It's heavy The lyrics or I don't believe you. The lyric story, you know? It's not that I don't believe you.
Starting point is 00:52:27 I mean, it's not bad. There's some heavier Christian metal than actual like satanic metal. That's right. I will prove it, too. And it's really much better messaging. Yeah, it's much better messaging. It's less, you know,
Starting point is 00:52:42 summoning of better power, for sure. Way better power. Yeah, lift the weight with holiness. Not anger. I have a shout out that I want to give, and then we could also talk briefly about it, just because I thought it was interesting. The shout out is Chris Williamson and his interview
Starting point is 00:53:01 with Matthew McConaughey. I'm watching it. So good, dude. He's just. He interviews people sohey. I'm watching it. So good, dude. He's just- He interviews people so well. He's so talented. I don't listen to a lot of like interview type podcasts that often.
Starting point is 00:53:13 It's just not, I haven't been listening to podcasts really much at all. I tend to bounce back and forth between books, music, or podcasts and I can't do all the above. But I did tune in to this one. I'm listening to it, I'm not done with it. But such a good podcast. And the part that I'm at, or I just passed was him talking about his first, you know, his, you know what his first appearance was, Matthew McConaughey's
Starting point is 00:53:35 No, Dazed and Confused. Oh, yeah. That was his first. That was his first. And he tells He was like a dirtbag. Yeah. Well, it's kind of a cool story. So he tells us I didn't know this whole backstory. I guess it's in his book the the backstory is He how he got that was like an introduction from his bartender friend introduced him to I think a director or producer Who basically got drunk with him all night at a good old time? He's like, hey, have you ever thought about acting and he's like, oh, I've done a couple modeling things this and that He's like he's like show up at nine o'clock tomorrow morning. This thing, we've got some for you. And he basically, for that, that part, it was going to be more like an extra.
Starting point is 00:54:12 He was, he had like three lines and he, and he, and he crushed it. He crushed the appearance, he crushed the lines and like, he tells the whole story. Oh yeah. And then they like, they kept adding to the storyline. We wrote more, they wrote more for his character to fill gaps. And he just like, off the cuff. So the scene, you know the famous line where he's like, he talks about high school girls?
Starting point is 00:54:33 Oh, yeah. My favorite thing about high school girls, I get older, they stay the same. He talks about that as like, I forget the term he used for like, every movie has a character's line like that that like, I forget what he, the term he used for like, there's every movie has a character's line like that, that like defines the character. And if you can hit that, it's like this big deal.
Starting point is 00:54:50 So he hit that. And then the other part where he rolls up and he picks up the redheaded girl, he tells her, I want you to ditch the geeks and get in the back and whatever, that was all off the cuff and made up. And so they basically told him like, hey, you were- Run with us. Yeah, he's like, hey, tomorrow, come back. We want to add this scene. And so they basically told him like, hey, you were- Run with us.
Starting point is 00:55:05 Yeah, he's like, hey, tomorrow, come back, we wanna add this scene. Basically just kinda give him a rough idea of like, you're gonna pick up these girls, nothing else. And he had to like come up with that. And he's like, everybody was laughing and he's like, everybody, and so that was like what made him.
Starting point is 00:55:19 Like that hit the fact that he was able to do that. And then of course you got other parts. Some of those movies movies you watch them now and I just look at them like, God they're creepy, like what in the hell? Well you could just get away with different stuff back then when you could say. I just didn't get it as a kid though,
Starting point is 00:55:32 do you know what I mean? I didn't get it, like Jessica and I were watching this one, I don't remember what it was, this old, it was like an 80s whatever, and the teacher was flirting with the student and it was all like accepted, and I remember watching like as a dad now, like what the hell?
Starting point is 00:55:46 How would he kill someone if they talked to my daughter? Can't show my kids porkies. That's a terrible choice. Porkies, oh my God. Didn't do that one. Yeah, but check it out, right? It's at Chris Will X. Well, he's Modern Wisdom.
Starting point is 00:56:01 So Chris's podcast is called Modern Wisdom. And it's one of his recent ones. He just did Matthew McConaughey So obviously, I think we've shot it out Chris his page already But I personally think he's the best interviewer in the game I think that and if you don't think that I believe he's on the mission to become that because his His his prep that he puts into it Questions that he asks are like, they're really, really good and they're already-
Starting point is 00:56:28 Adding the visuals and everything now. Oh yeah, then he, I mean, what does he drop? Like 50 grand every time he does a set, you know, that he puts together? He's committed. Yeah, he's awesome, so check that out. First question is from Jasper Morrow 31 65 why was muscle confusion a popular thing once and why do I still hear about it sometimes? Because there's some truth to it
Starting point is 00:57:18 that's why. Yeah but like many things somebody those infomercials they really did they were really smart with branding and marketing. So there is value to novelty when it comes to exercise. So if you do the same kind of workout all the time, it is true that your body will slow down how it responds. Now, depending on the workout, this can happen more or less. Some exercises, this will happen relatively quickly. Other exercises you could do for the rest of your life, continuously benefits. depending on the workout, this can happen more or less. Some exercises, this will happen relatively quickly. Other exercises you could do for the rest of your life, continuously benefits, but there is truth to novelty. What they did with Brilliant Marketing
Starting point is 00:57:52 was they called it something called muscle confusion. And they said you gotta confuse the muscles to get them to react. Yeah, it was just Brilliant Marketing. But like I said, there is truth to it, but there's also, there's more truth, I would say, and more value in getting good and practicing exercises over and over again. So although there's truth in both of them,
Starting point is 00:58:13 you would be, I would never recommend somebody do a different workout every time they worked out to take advantage of novelty. That's the, that to me is the, I mean, I think there's more than just truth to muscle confusion. I think there's a tremendous value in really grasping and understanding this. Now I think I was guilty of taking it too far. I've admittedly talked about how I used to brag about how every workout I ever did I
Starting point is 00:58:39 never had done before, right? Every workout was so unique. So I took that idea of muscle confusion to the extreme and I think because of that I lost a lot of value a lot of gains I could have been making so there's tremendous value in the point that Sal's making which is it's important that you become proficient at these big movements right learning how to squat deadlift overhead press bench press row those Those movements are very technical and have a lot of room for you to practice for a very long time and get good at.
Starting point is 00:59:12 Years. Yeah, years. Now once you've reached levels of where you've gotten really good at those movements, then it becomes really important to understand the muscle confusion or novelty point, which is if I've been doing said workout, and I think this becomes more important, less about the exercise and more about the way you structure your exercises, meaning sets, reps, and the way you train like your split or your full body, if that looks always the same and you've
Starting point is 00:59:39 been in that way for months, one of the quickest ways that I can show somebody results is by switching them to something so different. So if you always train like a power lifter where you're lifting in the low reps and the big movements, I also didn't take you to all this bodybuilder type stuff and supersets and boy, that'll really, that's so novel that confuses the muscles so much that it will stimulate growth is really valuable. But it's important that you then stay there for a little while before you move out again
Starting point is 01:00:10 to reap the benefits. I definitely think for most people it's overstated, right? I think for most people, because they've sold it so hard, people don't stay long enough in the squats, in the bench presses, in the rows, in the overhead presses, because they need to change things up all the time.
Starting point is 01:00:25 Like what Adam's saying is great. Like novelty is often introduced or should be introduced often with just your reps or your tempo or your rest periods or where you place the exercise. Like, you know, maybe you always start your chest workout with bench press, which is a foundational movement.
Starting point is 01:00:44 Now you want to add some novelty. Maybe you make that the third exercise. Like now you've introduced some novelty. It just seems to me too, like, uh, you're, you're a little bit more reactive in terms of like what you're introducing your body versus proactive where I'm like focused on improving and dialing in and, and, um, increasing my proficiency, uh, in certain movements. So the skill of it increases.
Starting point is 01:01:06 I don't think your skill necessarily is gonna increase with that methodology. Whereas your body's getting stimulated and you're sort of like making initial progress, but it's fleeting. You're not gonna keep making progress. Next question is from Megan Meyer Racing. Is it okay to give kids protein powder?
Starting point is 01:01:26 I hope so. Yeah, that's fine. I hope so. It's protein. There's nothing wrong with it. Now, that being said, I wouldn't replace good quality whole food with protein. I think the best ways to use protein for children, there's two. One is if they're just not getting adequate protein, which is rare, but you may have a
Starting point is 01:01:45 situation where you're, for whatever reason, your child isn't getting adequate protein, in which case your doctor will probably recommend that you supplement protein in their diet. The second is using protein to make treats and snacks for them that are better than what might be available. Like for example, I love using protein powder
Starting point is 01:02:04 to make like popsicles. I love that with my kids. So now they get to eat a popsicle, but instead of it being like this sugary whatever, it's chocolate bone broth protein or whatever. And the kids love it, they get a little extra protein, it's better for them, they don't get the energy crashes. So I think that's where you'd want to do it.
Starting point is 01:02:24 But there's nothing inherently bad about protein powder or dangerous. It's not like a medication where, you know, adults are okay and kids aren't. Did you see what I made last night? No. Yeah, so I posted, obviously I'm posting all my meals right now, peanut butter protein muffins.
Starting point is 01:02:40 And that's what Max had for breakfast this morning. So ironically though, he's told mommy, these are sweet, which I think is hilarious. But I love what you just said. So I think we do a pretty good job of, he eats enough meat that I don't need to add more protein. We do it like with treats like that. It totally makes a muffin or a cookie or something that like
Starting point is 01:03:02 his version of all those things. He's so used to ours This is also I think this is attributed to his natural regulating himself with the sweets because Ours are so tamped down that when he has like a real cookie from somewhere else He doesn't even want more than like half of it because it's like, oh wow This is like overpowering how sweet it is So we've used it more like that because he already eats enough meat and eggs and stuff in his diet that he's probably hitting his protein intake. I'm not concerned about that and we're not
Starting point is 01:03:33 seeing anything deficient at all. So I don't add it to the diet with the intent of, oh, I need to get his protein intake. I do it for exactly how you just suggested it. And I think it's been wonderful. But I do understand this question potentially coming from what if you do have a kid who doesn't wanna eat meat and you have a hard time getting them to do that, then this makes sense. It's a valid option. Especially if you have a,
Starting point is 01:03:55 I could see more value with teenage kids. Like if you have a teenage kid who plays sports. Yeah. Yeah. Because the demand physically is really increased and they're growing and it's like, and I know they're eating meat increased and they're growing. And I know they're eating meat, but they're making those decisions at school and they're eating, they're definitely carb focused and drawn. So to supplement with protein powder is just something that we've done. And it has made quite a difference in building their muscular physique.
Starting point is 01:04:23 So. Next question is from Sammy girl, DC. I hired a trainer and they have not shown up due to sleeping in, et cetera. I'm frustrated. How do I just quit? I feel like I'm quitting on myself. Any advice?
Starting point is 01:04:36 You didn't quit on yourself. You have a shitty trainer. Yeah. I'll go to the boss. I mean, you go to the, obviously if this, this trainer, you are entitled to a refund for the unused sessions and then find yourself a trainer that shows up.
Starting point is 01:04:48 Like that is terrible. I mean, if you go, if this isn't in a big box gym, you can go to the GM or the fitness manager and yeah, you're not only will you get the money back on this, but they will hopefully set you up with their, like this is obviously, my career has happened before, right? Like it's, I didn't bat 100% with all great trainers that always work for me.
Starting point is 01:05:12 You hire someone, you don't know sometimes that they're gonna be unprofessional like this, but this absolutely has happened where someone comes to me and they're like, hey, Adam, you know, so and so, you know, they were late to their first appointment, which was okay, but then it was the second appointment like that, and I feel like they haven't done my, and I'm like, oh my God, you know, so and so, you know, they were late to their first appointment, which was okay, but then it was the second appointment like that. And I feel like they haven't done my, and I'm like, Oh my God, right away, I take care of them financially. And I go, you know, and then right away,
Starting point is 01:05:32 because of that experience, I tap my best guy or girl and go, listen, I need you to take care of this client because so and so fucked it up and we need to make it right. So could you do this as a favor? So normally that's your shortcut to the best is to go in there and express your concern about this and then they'll hopefully set you up with a better trainer. When I was a trainer, if I missed a session which was very rare, but if I did,
Starting point is 01:05:59 I gave them a free session. Always, every single time, even if they objected, no, you're gonna get a free session because that's a big deal like the person trying to get in shape trying to exercise just them make like making the decision to start and then hire a trainer and they maybe have struggled with fitness for a long time there's a lot of barriers they overcame just to be there yeah and then you're not showing up yeah like no no no like that's a big like that's a big no no for me is when I was a gym owner and gym manager Big no no, and I would do exact same thing. I'm like you're gonna get taken care of yeah
Starting point is 01:06:31 Yeah, dear, and this is not you quitting on yourself by any means, but this is obviously We mean I would be almost grateful that you found you found this out early enough because it sounds I mean how you do Anything is how you do everything so if this is how you if this is your trainer and this is how they run things, they probably suck at writing a diet. They probably suck at programming too because that to me, like step one, you don't even have to be good at those things. Super basic. Show up, show up, be on time, be professional.
Starting point is 01:06:58 I can help you be good at all the other things like that. If they're not even doing that part, they're probably shitty at the rest. So you know, get rid of them, get somebody else. Next question is from Tyler Hubble. Since we are in the midst of cold and flu season, how should we adjust training, nutrition and lifestyle habits when sick or key things to think about to help reduce the risk of getting sick? So let's start with reducing the risk of getting sick. Um, missing sleep and overtraining are like are like great recipes for weakening your immune system.
Starting point is 01:07:28 In fact, when I over-train, I almost always guarantee that I'll get sick, almost every single time. In fact, if you look at like athletes. You're super vulnerable. Yeah, you look at athletes or people training for a marathon or bodybuilders before a show, like anytime you see somebody in that high stress, training really hard, eating low calorie, the rate of illness goes through the roof. So if you want to reduce
Starting point is 01:07:51 your risk of getting sick, besides getting adequate nutrients, because you don't want to have any deficiencies, like vitamin D deficiency is common in the winter season, then don't over train, don't overdo it, right? Now when you are are sick you take time off Or you just move in a very light low intensity way to make yourself kind of feel good training or exercise especially when you're trying to induce an adaptation like Strength or endurance is a stress on the body, okay? That's that's why your body adapts is because it's a stress that your body is trying to adapt to so that it no longer becomes a stress. Well, if you're fighting an illness and then you stress yourself with damage, you've opened the door for the illness to take hold. If you feel like you're, I don't know, I might be fighting a cold. If you want
Starting point is 01:08:39 to get that cold, go work out real hard. You're going to guarantee yourself that you're going to get sick. I'd say that's probably the biggest thing that's changed for me is I've gotten older and more mature with my working out is it and this is that that time where if like Max is sick I feel like my throat's getting a little itchy. I feel fine but I notice that I'm already low calorie because I'm dieting like that's the day I'm like well today tomorrow will be a good day for me to take off. Like I'm not gonna go like let me see and make sure that I'm not
Starting point is 01:09:04 starting to get a cold and let me go take off. I'm not going to go, let me see and make sure that I'm not starting to get a cold, and let me go take everything. And then what do you, I mean, this is at the point where are you taking, doubling up on vitamin D, are you taking any vitamin C, are there certain supplements, glutathione, are there certain supplements that you know that you are susceptible of maybe catching something that you all of a sudden start to ramp up or I know you're good about some of those. Yeah, vitamin D, zinc, glutathione, I'll use those.
Starting point is 01:09:33 Especially if you're traveling on an airplane too. Because any deficiency in those really hampers your ability to fight off any type of viral infection. Good sleep and maybe elderberry if I start to feel like I'm getting something, which has got some golden seal is another one, echinacea for some people, for some people doesn't really do anything. But I mean, the main thing here is to make sure that you're rested and not over trained, because
Starting point is 01:09:58 that kills, that'll kill your ability to fight anything. I can't tell you how many times I thought I was getting something, worked out real hard, gave myself whatever it was, way worse. That's almost guaranteed. I've learned to rest. It's a hard thing to do. And I know most calls we get are just trying to get people to back off training a bit so they can recover. No different when getting sick. And unfortunately, so here we get sun still. And so I'm, anytime I get sick, I'm out on my porch and, you know,
Starting point is 01:10:27 absorbing that sun or maybe some light mobility, but that's it. Yep. Yep. Totally. Look, if you like the show, come find us on Instagram.
