Starting point is 00:00:00 If you want to pump your body and expand your mind, there's only one place versus Adam versus Justin versus Doug. It's really me versus the world. And we're all competing to see who can get the best shape in six weeks. Adam and Justin have been fighting like crazy over who's gonna get second place. We will see at the end of the six weeks. This is gonna be a lot of fun. So what we do in this episode is we talk about our strategies, diet strategies, training strategies. We talk a lot of shit to each other.
Starting point is 00:00:48 We also talk about, you know, do we like to win more than we like that versus do we hate losing? Like which one is more powerful? The hate for loss or the love for the win? Which one's more important? So that was a good part of this episode. And then we talked about some of these online conspiracies
Starting point is 00:01:06 towards the end of the episode. I also mentioned a free guide that we just created, the top three things you do to burn body fat. That's available at minepumpfree.com. Also, I think we mentioned organify, and I will be using their protein throughout this entire process. If you go to organify.com, forward slash
Starting point is 00:01:25 MindPump, you will get a discount on any of the organify products. And I do also want to mention that this month, Maps and Obolic, the program that started it all, the best muscle building, strength building, and metabolism boosting program, is 50% off. So you can actually get full access to Maps and Obolic for life for under $60. We also have a bunch of bundles where we combine Maps programs together and discount them and they're designed for specific goals like our Super Bundle which is a year of exercise programming. All of our bundles and the Maps and Ob of 50% off promotion is available at mine pump media dot com Who's the last one to get on the mics? Who's the last one?
Starting point is 00:02:09 Always just it always just it. I almost got in like right in time, but I've Fuck you guys. I don't think he's always the last one. He is a little bit only as of like recently unless we're ordering dessert Recently unless we're ordering dessert It's backfire He's back No, it's not dude I already know I already know how nice. I'm impenetrable. He's he's like Focus this fuck. I know how to get him dude. Damn it. I know how to get him, bro I'm right. I you know what like in my phone wasn't working for when you guys were talking shit, you know amongst each other then I finally got it And I was like you sons of bitches
Starting point is 00:02:52 I was like, what's it? Mace Bell swing. He's no, he's doing I'm doing I was waiting for hilarious. I was waiting for your response And I'm like to respond. I'm like did he hurt us feeling? You see oh that see that would be a solid strategy, too And I'm like to respond. I'm like did he hurt his feeling? Oh, that see that would be a solid strategy too. They can start like self-reflecting like oh, no How much you want to bet just the back is I'm gonna put that as his mind right now It's gonna fuck him up. Okay, he thinks you and I are working together Coke inspired I wouldn't put it past you guys I wouldn't put a past you guys See it here!
Starting point is 00:03:23 I know what you mean Sal's got one direction, he's trying to take me Adam, you're like, this isn't working Let's try and steer him this way They were so afraid of you These guys are worried No, you know what it's gonna be like And this one, so one of my favorite cargets
Starting point is 00:03:36 I know you guys don't play this You might not get this analogy Those at play cards will Hearts is a three or four man game And it's all about fucking the other two people, right? With points, like you throw bad points on them. Like so. And I play with my two best friends.
Starting point is 00:03:51 We've played since we were kids. All three of us are really good at it. And the entire game is always two guys ganging up on it, whoever's in the lead. Like it doesn't matter. It's like there's no like a line. Switches. Yeah, you always switches.
Starting point is 00:04:04 It's like, you know, we start out and then I have the best hand right out the gates and then I start off winning. So the other, I know the very next time we deal the cards, those two are fucking gunning for me. And it's just this back and forth of fucking each other for the entire game. And so it reminds me of that. Like that's what it's gonna be like is,
Starting point is 00:04:20 it's not necessarily us ganging up on Justin. It's like, it means out my tags. It also sells starts looks like I start looking at salad every day and I'm like oh this motherfucker's making gains and moves right now. I already got him yesterday. I got out of yesterday. You should ask him what happened.
Starting point is 00:04:33 I do want to ask is you guys are working out together. I was like oh this is going to be so great. We were all we were all lifting in the gym. I was working out with Taylor Nanzo which was a lot of fun.
Starting point is 00:04:42 By the way I have to side with you Adam. It's very difficult to control your ego when you're working out with Taylor Nanzo, which was a lot of fun. By the way, I have to side with you Adam It's very difficult to control your ego when you're working out with two kids 100% I mean I was up to you, bro. I was I pulled over. I don't know what I was pulling five 15 5 10 5 15 Oh, you know and I stopped right there. No, I don't know because you ordered the kilo fucking grand flight Justin I With his fingers bro it was all I had the steel insert like I couldn't help it every time I work out I got to do the math I'm like I wish I just live I know but anyway I stopped there I felt like I was gonna go
Starting point is 00:05:14 heavier I'm like no I'm not gonna do that but then I went did barbell rose like 275 yeah but as I'm doing this I'm a lot I can see Adam and Adam's fucking pushing it man he's put because he's doing his own thing right yeah but he's going for it sweat and crazy I'm doing this. I can see Adam and Adam's fucking pushing it man. He's put because he's doing his own thing right? Yeah, but he's going for it sweating crazy. I'm like damn this guy's gonna. Yeah, I'm like Oh, if I keep pushing the intensity and my get him to ratchet and then you know what ended up happening He gave himself a migraine Bro, now you're not getting sleep. I think it's What it was I don't think it's less of my training
Starting point is 00:05:45 and it was more of this goddamn studio yesterday. So fucking hot, man. It was so hot in here. And then this is what I had to get out of here. Do you know what I went to AC like Jim? I went somewhere that actually had like... He's head for two controls. It's the AC Slater.
Starting point is 00:05:57 It's like the 1950s where that's like an advertisement. We also have AC and a TV. Not here at Mind Pump. You know what might have happened here? I hope this isn't what happened because you know Doug's gonna be, he's not gonna let you live this down. The day you turn down the AC and Doug was like,
Starting point is 00:06:14 it's gonna freeze over at him and Adam's like, no it's not, I know AC, I've been up, Adam's exact words. I've been up ready AC for like 20 years. Like, what? And that doesn't work. And AC Master. Yeah, that's it.
Starting point is 00:06:27 I was just telling him what the HFAC guy told me. So, hey. You know. So, yeah. So this is something about it. So this has happened, okay. Many of times in my lifetime, this was the point of that,
Starting point is 00:06:39 where we have froze that managing gyms, okay. Small boxes and big boxes. This is very common if you crank your AC all the way down when the temperature is really hot outside, they freeze over because they just can't keep up. They can't just stay on the whole day. Yeah, so it's less likely to happen in a half hour to an hour time when it's 80 degrees outside,
Starting point is 00:06:58 trying to turn the AC down to 65. You think that's what happened, or is it froze? Not that, not right now. I don't think that's what happened. It just broke. I don't know that's what happened. It just broke. I don't know what, I think we've haven't had this thing consistent for more than a fucking week. Yeah, it's been a lot of the place.
Starting point is 00:07:10 Well, yeah, every time we've frozen in here, or it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it. Like it's just like, nah, I'm not gonna work this. I think we have the like the heat and cold contrast model of AC. You know what I mean? The one that trains your body to acclimate or something because it's never, you're right. Like right now, and I can handle the heat. I'm a, you know, I was in complaining yesterday, but I could feel it. I'm like, these guys are melting. Yeah. Bro, I was like, it's just like melting away. Bro, nothing.
Starting point is 00:07:39 The last podcast we did yesterday, which was at the end of the day, and it was hot as fuck, and we're going about halfway through the end, or towards the end, it was like 30 minutes left from the podcast, but like two questions left. I'm looking at Justin, I'm looking at Adam, like a fuck-drafating fast. Yeah, both of you guys are doing this with my shirt. I was on a break, it's a toughy. I was doing anything I could just to get. But I get irritable when I get hot, dude.
Starting point is 00:08:01 Dude, I mean, we know where I'm already irritable guys it is. And then when you put me in a space like that, I just get pissed off. I don't mind me. Especially when we fucking pay all this money for this thing, dude, come on. Yeah, that's what we've built this fucking incredible studio. We've paid the goddamn AC guy multiple times
Starting point is 00:08:17 to come out here and fix shit. We got one of those fucking control from your iPhone, fucking Nest, control ACs. That's what irritates me. You think it's cock face? Cool tech is irrelevant if you stop fucking working. You think it's cock face tech is irrelevant if you're not fucking working. You think it's cock face, that's fucking what does it?
Starting point is 00:08:28 I think it's just a talk to him. I think we need to, I think we need a little stern talking with the owners of the building as well. Okay, yeah. I think that's too nice. I think Doug wouldn't communicate so if it's like, hey, you know, it would be nice if you could help us work out
Starting point is 00:08:41 this AC issue, maybe help us fix it. I think I need it. Don't encourage Doug to snap. I need him. You want us to know you don't. You're so undriving. You're not going nowhere. I have all the people that leased the building from these days, we're the most consistent
Starting point is 00:08:53 and we're not going anywhere. That's true. They have problems. I know. They have problems collecting bills from everybody else. They're like, cool with my problem. My problem is I'm not going to pay that. We'll pay that shit in advance.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Yeah. That's how we got into the place. Yeah. First place. Come on. So, but last night, so you got a full-on migraine from my, huh? That was probably one of, if not the worst, how did I've had? Now, the asshole move that I did. You sure it's not brain cancer?
Starting point is 00:09:15 It's fine though, I'm not that damn. Tell him, fuck that. I would feel terrible. I feel so bad. You would. It'd be funny. That's how strategies to make you think you're like actually dying. Like you're dying. You would, bro. I feel so bad. You would. It'd be funny. Like the strategies to make you think you're like actually dying.
Starting point is 00:09:27 Like you're dying. You got a problem. You know what? I could actually do that with you guys because you guys trust me so much with your health. I would never do that. I would never do that. I don't know, man. I would, I did it wanting to take your stuff with a greatest soul.
Starting point is 00:09:39 I don't trust anything you said. Yeah, yeah, you have to convince me like I did. I did it once to who was at my cousin Where he was oh I was on FaceTime with him and my brother and my cousin were all messing with each other And they were all swimming and I see him turn around to go do something and there's this row of like Circles on his back and so my brother's like what's on his back and my cousins like huh? He turns around and he's like what's wrong with his back?
Starting point is 00:10:04 And I knew what it was. I'm like, he must have had cupping done earlier, but the idiot didn't realize that you get a bunch of circular hiccups. But you hate these things. But he didn't know that, right? So he's like, what? He didn't know that.
Starting point is 00:10:14 So he's looking in the mirror, and he's like, freaking out. He's like, what is it, Sal? And I'm like, listen, I'm like, these are boils. Yeah, yeah. So I'm like, dude, dude, I'm like, take your pulse. I'm like, do you know how to take pulse? Take your pulse, man.
Starting point is 00:10:23 Oh my God. So, yeah, stand there. So he takes his pulse. I'm like, do you know how to take pulse? Take your pulse, man. Oh my god. So, yeah, stand there. So he takes his pulse. I'm like, if it's over 100, I need you to, like, I want you to lay down. I knew he was gonna be over 100 because he's freaking out. So he's taking his pulse.
Starting point is 00:10:31 He's like, it's over 100. Like, do you feel dizzy? I'm like, a little bit. Bro, I stretched the salad. He's stretching out for like 10 minutes with symptoms that I knew he had. Should've given him like cream and stuff to smooth slather on.
Starting point is 00:10:43 Yeah, I'm like, as your, as your pee been really dark lately, and he's like, oh, I. Yeah, I'm like, is your, is your peabin' really dark late, leanin' like, I think so. I'm like, look, I mean, this is a sign of your liver, maybe, and porcato's freaked out. And then after that, I felt bad, so I won't do it. I won't do it, I won't do it. And you see all the four members hoppin' on the six week challenge
Starting point is 00:10:57 with this, that's kind of cool. Yeah, yeah. How many? There's quite a few, everybody's posting pictures where they're at right now, where their body fat percentages and everyone's kind of doing it now What do you I'd like to hear what you get now? I have my own like my own personal goals. Obviously I said to you guys that I'm gonna win and I plan to but I also like there's certain things that I'm working on
Starting point is 00:11:18 I'd you giving yourself pep dogs now you do you consider are you guys fighting for second place? Is that what you guys are doing? Do you consider, are you guys fighting for second place? Is that what you guys are doing? Is that the competition even? I know what that is. Yeah, that's the second place. But I also, like, I'm still not back to where I want to be muscle wise.
Starting point is 00:11:35 So that's still a high priority right now for me, even though we're gonna do this like body fat thing. So, and now obviously increasing muscle mass will also reduce body fat percentage too. But to do both is always tough, right? Typically you focus on one or the other and the easier thing for me to do would be just to do a purely cut and just try and shred as much fat as I possibly can and then say, hey, at the end of six weeks, I shred an X amount of fat. So personally, I'm going to, I'm going to come out right now and I'm going to run two weeks of a deficit and I'm going to lean, then I'm going to run two weeks of a bulk, and then I'm going to run two weeks of a cut.
Starting point is 00:12:12 So I'll just tell you guys straight up my strategy of what I'm doing. And the reason middle, well, because I still want to build lean mass, because I'm getting back to building my physique again. Now, if this was a, you know a show, and I was getting ready, and if I used the same formula that I was going to pee all the way down, I would be different. And I'm already happy with my lean body mass, but I have a feeling when we test today, my lean body, I like my lean body mass to be over 200 pounds
Starting point is 00:12:38 when I start to cut. I'm guessing I'm going to be somewhere in the 180s to 190s. And so I would like to build. We need to figure out the parameters. What I was thinking about this last night, I'm guessing I'm gonna be somewhere in the 180s to 190s. And so I would like to build. We need to figure out the parameters. What I was thinking about this last night, it's like, how are we gonna, because I know I'm at a disadvantage,
Starting point is 00:12:50 I'm going into this consistently trained, already fit, you guys are going into it out of shape. So you guys have a lot of room. You guys have a lot of room, you know what I mean? There's a lot of potential there, right? So I think, I think we, I'm really weasy. I, this is what I, this is kind of what I want everybody to do. And I think that, you know, and because I'm thinking this, what I'm thinking, muscle
Starting point is 00:13:08 built, fat lost, and then most of the best visible change, which I think we can all vote on, and then what we'll do is we'll think of points for first, second, and third. So first place in muscle built, maybe get five points, first place in fat lost, maybe get five points, and then first place in who made the best visible change and we'll take pictures. The overall aesthetic. And then whoever has the most points at the end of it gets first place, and then everybody else second and third,
Starting point is 00:13:32 like compare contrast kind of points in that last. Yeah, so like, like, like, let's say we do our body fat tests and we go and like, okay, so, you know, sell lost seven pounds of body fat, but just some lost eight pounds of body fat and Adam lost six pounds. Well, then he's gonna get, Justin will get first place points,
Starting point is 00:13:47 I'll get second place points, and Adam will get third place points, and we'll do that with muscle gain. So much else is gonna be laid out. Yeah, and we'll do that with muscle gain, and we'll do that with pictures, and then what we'll do with the pictures is everybody will look,
Starting point is 00:13:58 you can't vote for yourself, we'll make that rule, and then we'll say, okay, everybody vote on who made the best visible change, and we'll take it before and after select it. I feel like that's fair, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, you could do that.
Starting point is 00:14:09 I always did a couple more variables. I thought it would be kind of, kettlebell press. I thought it would be kind of cool to, to take the test today and then to actually tell everybody what we're looking at. So I could say, you know, I have X amount of pounds of lean body mass. I have X amount of pounds of fat. And then my body fat percentage is this. And then I would share with you guys,
Starting point is 00:14:28 I have six weeks, this is what I'm gonna try and achieve. Bottom line, like straight up, and everybody can be different. Like maybe Justin goes, like I just purely wanna reduce body fat, I already have enough lean body mass. I just wanna get leaner. And I know a realistic number for me is this. And same thing goes for you.
Starting point is 00:14:44 And that's, you know your body, what's and I think what's more what's cooler about this is to show people How much we can control that right like that? Oh, no, I think that's smart We do need to be honest. I was like in a say I was gonna try and maintain for the most part Maybe gain just a bit of lean body mass, but for the most part. Yeah, my goal is to to kind of peel down You've already lost like four or five pounds. You look like well. part, yeah, my goal is to kind of peel down. You've already lost like four or five pounds, you look like. Well, yeah, well, I didn't want to come in and, you know, and just be obvious of sandbagging, you know, at the same time, like coming into the competition.
Starting point is 00:15:14 You know sandbagger. You know sandbagger. Does that sound like a racist term? That's so sorry. You know sandbagger. You know what that comes from? I know what that comes from. You do?
Starting point is 00:15:23 Yeah, well, the term sandbagger? Yeah. Well, we used to say that at 24, when people... No, no, no, we're at an originator from. You know that comes from I know that comes from you do yeah with the term sandbagger. Yeah Well, we used to say that at 24 when people know I know we're did it originate Of origin oh, I don't know yeah golf. Oh, yeah, okay, it's a golf term. So like what got sandbaggers or somebody who like so If you if you go golf and like local tournaments right now you have everybody has a handicap right if you're not a pro And what a lot of guys do and they sandbag is they They get their handicap really high, right? And then they go do these little local tournaments and they and they win money It went money and the way you do that is like so every like golf course you go and you play you can you enter in your score And they see like oh well, you know Justin, you know over the last 15 times. He's hit it all these different courses
Starting point is 00:16:05 He's you know 10 over par consistently. So his handicap is 10. So he gets those 10 swings. Now people do this where they shoot kind of terrible. Oh, and then they go into a tournament. And they go into a tournament. And then they, and this is a hustle, huh? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:23 So it's just like a cool start. Yeah, I mean, very similar. But yeah, pool, I mean very similar, but yeah, like, then I didn't want to be that obvious about it because I could do that. Obviously, I'm in a position where I could do that, but like I'd, I just want to get healthy. My agenda is to like pay attention to like my sleep and the way I'm waking up in the morning
Starting point is 00:16:43 and the way that like overall, you overall, my digestive system is working. And so, I am doing this carnivore diet, so it's interesting. It's definitely something that I'm taking notes as far as what I experience every day, like what it is that are some of my challenges and some of these things with like palette fatigue is already something I'm noticing.
Starting point is 00:17:07 Oh, you're getting grossed out now by me? Well, it's just not that I'm grossed out. It's just that it's as far as like if I was to think long-term, I'm thinking six months from now and I was like still doing that, I'd be like, oh, you know, like it's just like a, like, that's the same thing. That's all I'm doing.
Starting point is 00:17:24 Yeah, it's the same thing. You know, I did like I didn't think I was very much of a variety person, but like just having vegetables totally breaks up the meat I'm like, right now, but so it's interesting. It's good. Have you lost like four or five pounds? I have, yeah. I mean, I was right on point. Like for me, I just feel like I'm less like swole, I'm less like bloated. And for me, I just feel like I'm less like swollen, I'm less like bloated.
Starting point is 00:17:46 How's your workouts? Not like, I'm not like fucking crazy energy or like I feel like I'm dominating my workouts right now. I feel like I'm just kind of maintaining. So I feel like I've dipped a little bit in performance actually in my workouts, but I'm gonna keep paying attention to that C if like, I need to go through this
Starting point is 00:18:07 a bit longer. So you're trying to go in, and not, you're just trying to maintain, is that what you're saying? Well, no, I mean, I'm, because you're gonna keep losing. Yeah, that's a good way to set it up. Set the table for no results. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, I'm going to try and get shredded. I think that's the best thing I can do. I'm trying to add lean body mass, which is what I've always tried to do consistently. I don't know how much lean body mass I'll be able to gain.
Starting point is 00:18:49 No, I think that's a great, this funny thing you keep saying that you're this disadvantage, which I think is such bullshit. You have, I think you have the greatest advantage of everybody right now because of your consistency and that you're just coming off a nice bulk right now. Coming up, I mean, that's just like, where you're at right now is where I like my body to be
Starting point is 00:19:05 right before you're ready for a show. Yeah, I think, I think I'm gonna try and get shredded. We'll see what happens. See what happens in six weeks, but here's a thing for me, I have, you know, we all have these limiting factors. For me, it's my gut health. If I can maintain my gut health really well,
Starting point is 00:19:17 it's not gonna be a problem. I'll get shredded. If my gut goes off, that's gonna take priority. I'm gonna have to get, make sure I get healthy before I try and get through. Oh, I hope that goes, so I can just fuck with you so bad about your tummy. It should be alright. It should be alright.
Starting point is 00:19:28 It could tummy. Oh, yeah, last because you're tummy, huh? Yeah. Fuck it sucks. So, so what I'm gonna do is right now I'm eating some starches, not a whole lot, but I'm eating some starches, and I'm gonna keep doing that, and I'm probably gonna, about two or three weeks into it, then I'm gonna start to go in a hard cut. And the way I'll do it is I'll utilize, of course, I'm gonna drop calories
Starting point is 00:19:47 and I'm gonna utilize more intermittent fasting approach. And then maybe throw in a little extra cardio. And then necessarily cardio scheduled, but watch my steps. Now what's cool is, is everybody in here kind of typically training and eating and do well. I know Justin's doing the carnival diet, so that's actually really unique.
Starting point is 00:20:04 But are you guys doing anything different? Are you implementing anything different? Like for me, I'm going to use a lot of my tools that I've always used. I plan to use my Fitbit, that's why I've been consistently wearing it. I'll be tracking my food in fat secret. Like I'm going to do all those things. Now, are you guys using any tools? Are you planning on doing anything different than in what you would do in the past?
Starting point is 00:20:25 I'm using my Apple Watch for Stap count and all that. The actual sleep metrics on there, I'm not really going to pay attention to, but I'm definitely doing that as far as cardio. It's all going to be neat. Towards the end, I'm going to focus a bit more on like the athletic type of cardio. So like stuff I was kind of doing previously with like uphill sprints and all that. Yeah, I found this, I looked up these old Russian
Starting point is 00:20:55 or Soviet era studies on this plant. I'm not gonna share. I'm not gonna tell you guys what it is. Holy shit. But I'm gonna take it because it's the study show that I did. No, I'm not gonna do anything like that. Yeah, that'll be your, that's it. No, not gonna share. I'm not gonna tell you guys what it is. I'm gonna take it, because it's the study show that I'm not gonna do anything like that. That'll be your, that's it. No, not at all. No, for me, I'm gonna slowly ramp up my training
Starting point is 00:21:12 towards the end of it. I should be utilizing techniques like occlusion training. Trigger sessions are money. Nothing I've ever done ever by itself. Of course, you have to have good exercise programs. So, it doesn't replace anything. But when I do my three trigger sessions on my off days consistently, that is crazy.
Starting point is 00:21:30 Everything for fat loss, muscle building. And so I'm saving that towards the end. I'll do a little occlusion to see what I can do in terms of squeezing out more muscle. Now what about programming for both you guys? What are you guys doing as far as your routines? Yeah, so more maps aesthetic during my foundational days. And then I'm actually doing, why you see me doing like pushing sled and
Starting point is 00:21:48 like The mace ball and all I'm using that more for trigger sessions, and so I'm doing that consistently With the unconventional stuff. I'm replacing with the rubber bands basically. Mm-hmm. No, I'm doing split So I'm still on split right now. Oh you will carry you through I think it will. If my body, if I feel like I need to change it up, I will. And I may towards the end go back to full body with trigger sessions, what I said earlier.
Starting point is 00:22:13 But I'm going to see, I'm just going to see how my body feels. My volume is going to slowly start to ramp up. And I may start training twice a day, is what I may end up doing. Whoa. But we'll see. Wow. Yeah, we'll see what happens.
Starting point is 00:22:24 That's cool that you're doing that because we are both doing the same thing. So it's kind of, I like end up doing. Whoa. But we'll see. Wow. That's cool that you're doing that because we are both doing the same thing. So it's kind of, I like that. I like the split. I like having us having similar in just a little few different variables. What about supplements? Supplements wise, the staples, you know,
Starting point is 00:22:36 Crateen, I'll use the organify protein if I'm a protein intake is low. But other than that, it's just Crateen is really, and then the other stuff like fish oil and certain minerals and vitamins, if I feel like I need them. But nothing crazy, there's really no supplement that's out there that's gonna really do anything for me.
Starting point is 00:22:54 I don't take fat burners because I've done that in the past and I know exactly how that affects my body, I end up losing muscle and feeling shitty anyway. So there's really nothing else. What about you guys? I'll be using, I'll be, what, when I get like dialed in food wise, this is where I really like to start to add in supplements
Starting point is 00:23:11 that I can, I feel like make a difference because my diet is consistent. And so, you know, all consistently every morning, be probably taking my vitamin D, tumoric, and then my Omega's. And then before, after my workouts, I'll be doing creatine. So those will be, and then I always utilize
Starting point is 00:23:31 either way or the organified protein. So I bounce back and forth between the two of them, because it's rare that I get enough protein every single day. So for me, it'll be, and I know that it wouldn't be bad if I had a one low day of protein, but I could easily string two or three days. So for me, you know, I'll probably consistently, you know, every other day I end up probably using a shake because, you know, I'll string a day or two. Do you have any goat, what are your go-to foods during this period? Do you have go-to foods?
Starting point is 00:24:00 Sure. Yeah. I know. I definitely do. Although I'm big on food rotation. So I never eat the same thing over and over consistently. But I love to meal prep and I love chicken thighs, white rice, and then some sort of a green. And I rotate my greens typically through asparagus, spinach, and broccoli, broccoli, leanies. Those are kind of like my go-to veggies. Do you have like a rotation of your macros all planned out as far as like, you know, the percentages? Kind of in a yes and no. Like so I have an idea.
Starting point is 00:24:32 So I haven't been tracking really consistently up until about a week ago I still, so I'm kind of like paying attention right now. And I'm falling right around. And this is why too I was telling you guys, I don't want to completely go for a cut. And I think this is a, I'm glad we're talking about this because I think this is a mistake a lot of people make.
Starting point is 00:24:48 So I know my body so well, I know where I like to be, lean body mass, I know where I like to have my calories, I know where I like to be with all that stuff before I do like an aggressive cut. And I'm just not there. I'm up to about 3000,000 calories a day. That's not very high for me. I would eat 4,500 to 5,000 calories.
Starting point is 00:25:09 No mind you, I was 20 pounds heavier, I'm on anabolic, things like that, but still, I should be north of 3,500 to 4,000 calories in a place where I really want it to cut. So being that I'm only at 3,000 calories right now, that's why I'm only going to do this like, and I said two weeks, but I'll watch my body and if I feel like I'm dropping too fast or I feel like my metabolism is slowing down, I'll kick myself out of the deficit and
Starting point is 00:25:38 go back to a surplus for a while and try and gain. So even though I have like this set plan of like macros and caloric intake where I plan to stay, that very well could adjust and change, which I anticipated to because I know that I'm not, you know, I would never like, let's say this was there was a show in six weeks. And I'm like, you know what, let's get ready, you know, I'm I'm lean enough to where I could get pretty lean for the show. I wouldn't do it because I know I'm not in a good position to get ready for show. Could I do it? Absolutely. But I wouldn't do it because I don't think I'm in an ideal situation. So that's what I mean by like, this is going to be different as we get ready for this. Like no matter what,
Starting point is 00:26:18 I'm planning to be changing my body composition week over week. I will be improving but what I'm doing with my calories and cardio and stuff like that will be adjusted week by week based off of what I what I kind of see. Yeah I'm doing my go-tos will be for the starches white rice buckwheat sweet potato and of course all the the meats you know red meat is always my my go-to when it comes to for proteins and fats. And then vegetables, I like the cruciferous, but I also like to rotate those with things like bok choy and spinach and stuff like that. And I'll cook it really well.
Starting point is 00:26:53 And I can consume a large amount of those and feel good. But I do like to cycle low carb with higher carb once I start to get closer. Because I do notice that if I go low carb and I'll squeeze off a little body fat and then I'll but I'll notice I'm flat and I'll pump up the carbs and if I get my body fat tested right around that point I'm usually lean-ed because everything's full and have lower lower body fat absolutely yeah so and that's when I'll feel that's when I can I feel like I look
Starting point is 00:27:18 like I've made the biggest biggest changes so I'll be doing that the entire way through I will be cycling carbs up and down. And I know Justin asked the number I don't know. Just as he's gonna be cycling is me. Yeah, I've got to continue to be a New York strip. Sirloin. Sirloin. I am really excited to really hear your feedback
Starting point is 00:27:41 on this whole journey because it's very interesting to me to try and change. I mean, that was one of the things that, even that I didn't like about the ketogenic diet that we did, it just, it gives me less variables to play with. I like to be able to manipulate all the different macronutrients. I like to rotate, change more,
Starting point is 00:27:59 and like the more restrictive your diet is, the harder it is to do that stuff. Yeah, the simplicity of it, I guess, was appealing to me on that aspect just because my lifestyle and just everything else that I'm managing and trying to control in my own environment. But at the same time, yes, like I get, I could see myself getting a little bit bored
Starting point is 00:28:22 with the rotation of like meats that I mean it's pretty fucking limited but so far I mean I'm enjoying it so I'm trying to kind of stick with you know positive mentality throughout this entire process and I'm gonna fucking do it all the way to the end to give it a fair go. I know we've talked about like I'm not you know if people go through these restrictive diets to not just force your way through it like even if it doesn't agree with you and so so far it's agreeing with me and my body. It's just a matter of like my own. Your digestion is, is it better or worse or the same? Better. Wow. Better. You're doing the fully formed stool. You're not constipated. Yeah, then that's what I was a little bit worried about like backing up, you know, and like not having like regular
Starting point is 00:29:02 a little bit worried about backing up, not having regular bowel movements. I was gonna say dumps, but yeah. You're not gonna get all signs of it. Yeah, I get all churchy over there. But yeah, so far so good. I mean, it's pretty much consistent like the way I was doing it before. It should reduce the amount of,
Starting point is 00:29:23 like the amount of times that you go to the bathroom, which is normal because you have less bulk to your stool, but other than that, you know, from what I've read, unless people have issues, like I still paint in those toilets. No, no, no, no, it's not as bad. I went in there the other day. I haven't seen one painted in notes. I know it's like, it doesn't, it's not that bad. It's solid. Now, is there, are you pooping less? You probably do. Yeah, I do. It's less volume., are you pooping less? You probably do. Yeah, I do.
Starting point is 00:29:46 It's less volume. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's like maybe twice a day, I would say. Instead of five times the hour. Yeah, six. That was totally normal. You know what sucks about this? We joke about it so much that people must think you just have the worst.
Starting point is 00:29:57 I know that's what's hilarious. It's like, it's like two times. It's like two times. It's like two times. It's like two times. It's like two times. People think I'm fat. It's all these things we joke about. And then people like really think. It's like two times. It's like two times. It's the same thing if people think I'm fat and like all you, it's all these things you joke about and then people like really think like it's real. We do it. You know what it is, it's like one thing happens once and then we zero in on it and then
Starting point is 00:30:12 that's who you are. I had BL like once. I just had to. I just had to. One, two, three, four, five, whatever. Bro, you took a deodorant and you put it on and then put it back on the shelf. I did. I could be in your store. I was the most gangster move I've ever seen.
Starting point is 00:30:27 You deserve everything. That's probably, you know, I feel so guilty about that. It's a horror battle. It's a horror battle. You know what I mean? I didn't steal it, right? But I kind of did a little bit. Barber, you had like the worst headset day.
Starting point is 00:30:37 You had to do that. I walked over the stairs. No, we were doing, holding a seminar in front of people. Like people would have left. Right. Yeah, I had a how bad I think safely think safely understands put it on and put it right back I saw a guy at the story of the day take by some Pots of alcohol started drinking and just put it down on the aisle kept walking around like this
Starting point is 00:30:54 Fucker just gets a free drink. Wow. That's yeah, I couldn't judge him though because I did the same thing Are you are you gonna be doing any? Macro counting yourself like are you actually gonna track or you just kind of go? I know I've never I've never done it that way for myself so I don't think I'm going to. I might do it just to see what it ends up at but I just go off of how I feel and what I see in the mirror and my performance in the gym and just I mean I got myself down to what 4-5% body fat doing that before and consistently I'm able to get myself in the single digits doing that and I think that's what I'm able to get myself in the single digits doing that. And I think that's what I'm going to do.
Starting point is 00:31:25 I think my goal over six weeks will be to lose anywhere between four to six percent body fat. I think is a good goal. I don't want to push it too hard. It's an aggressive goal. It is. I mean, six weeks, four percent's not bad, right? Six percent's kind of aggressive. Yeah, six is aggressive.
Starting point is 00:31:39 I mean, a half a percent to a percent a week is a very realistic, but very conspicuous. But also, you have to be consistent. Oh yeah, for sure. That's how I would gauge my weeks out for a show. Like, okay, I'm at 12% body fat and I got a show in eight weeks. Okay, I know where I can get, I can get to 4%. I'm filled confident I can get there.
Starting point is 00:32:00 And that's like fucking dialed. Yeah, that's giving me maybe one or two weekends where I enjoy myself a little bit, is the way I figure it. I might be able to have one or two weekends where I enjoy myself a little bit not going out, not going crazy, but other than that,
Starting point is 00:32:16 there's got to be four weekends in there where it's consistent like it is Monday through Friday in order to drop that kind of body fat. That's at least what I've had in the world. That's where I'm gonna get you guys, dude. I'm a machine. Yeah, I'm a machine. Dude once I you what time out bro weekends You like to sit around watch sports and eat shitty food. Yeah, so favorite thing to do unless I'm in competition mode Dude, huh? What's competition? But bro, you know, it's great. You got a lot of housework to do listen bro
Starting point is 00:32:37 I am still I'm still listening to Drake when I work out. You're so fucked when I switched to fucking rock dude I'm still I'm still in hip hop right now dude. Yes, you made it way back to Rage's. Yeah, you know, oh my god. When once Rage hits, you guys will wave the wife's flag and rage for the last two weeks. You guys will wave the wife's flag. It was you know, I was really happy working out
Starting point is 00:32:56 with those kids yesterday though, because they, you know, they they look up to us and you know, they had such a disappointing workout with Adam that they before. So at least yesterday they got to see true ex-uncle motion. They are fucking awesome. You know, they're not all talking.
Starting point is 00:33:12 Salah, you can hear yourself. Like, no, I'm not Adam. Oh, I can't. Oh, wow. All right, that's a good one. You know, I do, I actually love the fact that you've now, like I look forward to Injustance done too. One, I think it's been great for the company too,
Starting point is 00:33:28 for all of them to, you know, you see the energy within the staff and everything now everybody's lifting and training and stuff. I love to see that. And then I think it's really good. I mean, these guys haven't, they haven't really had a chance to live with all of us.
Starting point is 00:33:39 They haven't had a chance to feel what it's like to be trained by. Yeah, it's, and I was, I mean and I was watching you as you were training them, and I thought, this is really cool, because you did, I mean, I coached and worked out, which by the way, I fucking hate to do the worst. I just wanna put it out there. That's why I left, but I know that it's good,
Starting point is 00:33:57 and I can tough it out for six weeks to help some kids out and create the environment, stuff like that. And it helps me that you guys are doing that too because then I don't feel obligated to be the guy who's always like you. I don't mind doing it as I don't like doing it. I don't mind doing it.
Starting point is 00:34:12 It's just I don't coach as well as if I was just. Right, right. So I'm kind of doing both. That's what I mean by that. And when we're in a focus mode on ourselves, like, I mean, I was, you know, Inzo, listen to this, I was in a jab on yesterday, you know, between every set will listen to this. I was in a jab on me yesterday,
Starting point is 00:34:26 you know, between every set, like he wants to play and sit around and talk and goof and like, that's just not me. Like when I'm in, yeah, when I'm in train mode, like I'm like focusing on my breathing in between, I'm like trying to get my heart rate back down, focusing on my next set. I'm already back up, going on.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Telling myself, okay, what I want to do right here on this next one, do I want to increase my weight? Do I want to stay the, like I'm thinking all these? It was fun, it was fun because training with them, because they were, you could tell they were motivated and excited. And the funny thing too is regardless of what I do to them, it's like, whoa, because they don't, well, Endsville's been working out for a little while,
Starting point is 00:34:58 but you know, he's 17 years old. Taylor never lifts weights. So anything I pick up to him looks like a massive like, oh my God, you're're gonna use the 40s? I'm like, yeah, I'm warming up. They get all pumped and excited about it. And then I can point things out and then when they're working out,
Starting point is 00:35:13 that I enjoy that. I'm happy that I can bring that kind of value to them. You know, it was fun. We had the music going on. Everybody was working out. And something when we were working out. Hey, we should take our shirt off. Let's do this.
Starting point is 00:35:23 Let's take a look over at them. I'm like, what? Yeah. You've been watching too much Instagram. Oh, yeah. Hey, give me four weeks. Well, that's why I told you. I told you weeks I'm having my shirtless work out.
Starting point is 00:35:32 I said, that's not gonna motivate me. I said, I'm feeling myself right now. Maybe when I'm feeling myself, I'm walking around naked and just like, I'll be doing the shirtless workouts in about four weeks. Just to mess with everybody. The wife beat her comes first. Oh, yeah. Oh, when I start working at a wife about four weeks. Just to mess with their. The wife beat her comes first. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:45 Oh, when I start working out, the wife beat her for the first time. That's what it is. This is the same thing you do with shirts. I do with the music. You know what? Start off, listen to Drake. Oh, you later it.
Starting point is 00:35:54 Then I move myself into a little bit harder, like hip-hop music. And then in comes like the softer rock. And then by the end, I'm just fucking hard. Just keep the way down to tank tops as far as I go. You can go tank top. Oh yeah. Oh really, I haven't seen you work on a tank top. Oh yeah, I used. Just all the way down to tank tops as far as I go. You can go tank top? Oh yeah. Oh really, I haven't seen you work on a tank top.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Oh yeah, I used to do all the time. Yeah. I'm trying to, yeah, where are you going? Because you're carnivore and you're working out hard. I'm trying to think where are you gonna go from there? Fuck, dude. That's why he's fucked. He just started a plane stick.
Starting point is 00:36:20 Give up on it. This is a difficult fight now. It is, it is gonna be interesting once I hit like, week four, week five, you know, on this, this diet to see. But I'm going to give it a fair go. Like I said, manipulating calories is really my only go to, to make up for any idea how, how many calories you're up right now.
Starting point is 00:36:38 Have you started like, like, yes, I've gone down significantly, obviously, because of the transition of not having carbs and having fat and really being able to bump that. So I've been somewhere around 2,000, maybe a little bit less like 1,800 calories, like too low. I don't wanna get up to like 2,500. It's gonna be hard when you get to like 3,000.
Starting point is 00:37:01 I know, it is hard. It's hard. So I'm trying to spread it out a little bit more throughout the day and get it in. So can I give you some advice? Yeah. Throw in some, I just bought some in fact, I'm gonna be using, here you go,
Starting point is 00:37:12 here's a small little tip or trick that I'll be doing. And by the way, I'll share everything, no secrets. Something that I'm gonna do is I'm going to dramatically, I'm gonna slowly ramp up my cholesterol and take and by the end of it, I'm gonna be eating a significant amount of cholesterol because there's a short, there's like a week or two of doing that where you get some serious benefit.
Starting point is 00:37:30 I'll recommend you because you're just eating meats, throwing some organ meats, get some chicken liver from the butcher and fry those up in a pan with some butter and some bacon, eat that shit and watch what happened, especially post workout. I swear to God, it's like magic. This shit works for you.
Starting point is 00:37:44 I definitely want you guys to be completely transparent. I mean, that's why I shared even like how I planned to lay this out as competitive as we all are. The idea is that people that are the audience that's listening can hear. Now, this is actually, this is for the audience. At the end of the day, we are competitive.
Starting point is 00:37:58 It's actually exciting for me. I love competing with, I love competing, but I also love competing, even more than competing, I love competing with people who also love to compete and who have healthy egos. Like I know I could fuck with you guys and talk shit and I'm not gonna hurt your feelings and you're gonna do it back to me and I'm not gonna fucking cry in the corner
Starting point is 00:38:17 and it just makes it so fun. When I compete against people, or are easy to fuck with, at first what I do is I fuck with them even more, and then I get bored like this stupid. This isn't fielded. Yeah, you're too easy to fuck with. You just feel like a bully. I used to do that dude.
Starting point is 00:38:31 I had my old business partner when I first opened my studio, we would get in these competitions. It's you keep fucking deadlift the most. And then I'd start passing them up, and of course what I'm doing, as soon as I pass you up by a pound, I'm gonna talk shit to you all day. Right. And little things, right?
Starting point is 00:38:46 And I'm gonna dig at you and be like, oh man, you should've got better sleep or that's weird. You don't weigh me, but I can lift more than I just push at him. And then his feelings would get hurt. And so I keep doing it. And then he drop out of the competition and I'd win. Well, that's no. But it was a steal.
Starting point is 00:38:58 I'm like, oh, come on, dude. Yeah, yeah. But you guys, I know, I'm gonna fuck with you guys. I'm gonna get right back. Yeah, that's nothing. That's gonna be so awesome. So do you bring it? Someone asked me this in my DM the other day,
Starting point is 00:39:07 they said, do you love to win or hate to lose more? What are you guys? What are you guys? Oh, that's a good one. I love winning, but yeah. No, I'm just, which one you're better at heart, dude. But we all are.
Starting point is 00:39:20 So we're all competitive people, no doubt. But when you think about it, do you think that you love to win more or that you hate to lose more? Hmm. I probably love to win more than I then then then hate to lose you know Here's a thing with hating to lose that you have to be my younger mind I think well what you need to lose hating to lose is you're you think now you love to win more. Yeah I think this so I'm that's what I said to the kid. I'm like, oh love to win. It's no hesitation. Oh fuck I'm so glad I'm that's what I said to the kid. I'm like, oh, love to win. It's no hesitation. Oh fuck I'm so glad. I'm so glad you guys said that. Yeah, I'm not like I don't mind losing
Starting point is 00:39:49 losing losing actually like the exactly losing only motivated me more like let's say this competition like That is like if you guys could actually beat me on this. I'm gonna be like whoa Like I need to look into like something that sour Justin is doing like that's fucking really cool about time to look into like something that Sal or Justin is doing. Like that's fucking really cool. About time. Right. You know, like I, I, I, I, I don't, I, it wouldn't be up that that like of course a little bit of you like mother fucker.
Starting point is 00:40:12 I should have won. Like why didn't I win? Like yeah, don't get me. But I, I think I, there's a side to it. I can look at it right away that there's opportunity for me to be better and to learn to grow to get, you know, I'm saying where, and I love winning, winning so much. I don't mind losing if I fucking win at it
Starting point is 00:40:29 and went hard, and then the other person did too, and everybody was honest, and I lost. Yeah. I'm okay with that. Here's a deal. Here's a problem with hating to lose, because I've heard that before, and you're right. A lot of people were that way. You're right, and when I was young,
Starting point is 00:40:40 I was like that, Taylor and I talked about this one day. And when I was younger, I thought like that as well. And then, and then here's a problem with that you ever watch You ever watch a boxing match and you're watching them fight each other and then somebody is kind of clearly in the lead And then they start fighting to not lose. Yeah, instead of fighting to win or you watch a sport where they're ahead by a Prevent defense. Yeah, and it's just worse thing ever and I get the strategy in the game But it's also it almost it's almost what's the word? It's well it gets rid of the whole the whole spirit of competition
Starting point is 00:41:11 You're not in there to not lose what the fuck's that all about changing your mentality can you're there to win? Think about this when you win a paradigm shattering moment can't happen when you lose a paradigm shattering moment can happen Of course because if you if you're like use your analogy with boxing if you're a boxer shattering moment can happen. Of course. Because if you use your analogy with boxing, if you're a boxer and you've been training or learning, training, yeah, right? You're training for 16 weeks to get ready for it and you're doing everything you're supposed to do. The people that become so devastated when they lose,
Starting point is 00:41:39 that's part of it because they're ego because they believed that everything they did was what they were supposed to do. Whereas if you looked at it differently, where it was like, wow, I lost. There was an opportunity for me to do something better. Where is that at? I'm looking for that now. So I actually experienced this, this, in, when I did Brazilian jiu-jitsu. So when I competed in, or when I trained in Brazilian, I only competed, I want to say three times if I'm
Starting point is 00:42:03 not mistaken. But when I trained, I trained maybe, you know, I only competed, I wanna say three times if I'm not mistaken, but when I train, I train maybe, I started out and I would do like two days a week or three days a week and weight training was still my priority. I never stopped lifting weights, I loved it. But I would do Jiu Jitsu, I guess I said two, three days a week. Then I entered into a tournament and I went in there with this mentality that, okay, I know my skills, but I'm also probably gonna be
Starting point is 00:42:24 the strongest dude in my weight class. Well, I went in there and I lost. I lost my first match, and it motivated me like nothing else. After that tournament, I started training four and five days a week to Jitsu, and I scaled back my weight training to the appropriate level if you want to win in a sport, which is probably two or three days a week rather than the everyday thing.
Starting point is 00:42:43 So now it was supporting my Jits-Jitsu versus the other way around. I was super motivated and I went into a tournament. It was the United Gracie invitation, I think, in San Francisco. It was in 2006, I think. And I won. And not only did I win, nobody scored a single point on me. I blew the doors off of everybody, right? Lost my motivation after that.
Starting point is 00:43:03 After that tournament, I went back to training and it wasn't the same and it's because I didn't learn anything. Like the loss is what taught me. There's no real adversity. What to do. Now, now in the problem again, now what I should have had a healthier attitude because when or lose, I should have been motivated.
Starting point is 00:43:18 But my point with that is, I'm not afraid of losing. As long as I, look, if I lose because I was lazy, then I'm gonna be pissed. Like if I entered into, if I lose because I was lazy, then I'm gonna be pissed. Like if I enter into competition and I lose and I know in my heart, like, well, it's because I didn't fucking try or it's because I didn't do my best. Then I'm gonna be pissed off.
Starting point is 00:43:33 But if I fucking went for it, I'll be disappointed. Don't get me wrong. I'll be very disappointed if I lose. But at the end of it, I'm gonna be like, okay. Well, that's how I see it. I did everything and I lost. What can I do differently next time? That's how I see it when you're going into shifting into
Starting point is 00:43:45 like the prevent type of mentality, right? Like you're just getting into this sort of fear based, like it's where I understand that analogy. What? Prevent defense. Like you understand that I know what prevent defense. You're ahead in points and you're just, all you're trying to do is just stop them from scoring.
Starting point is 00:44:01 Right. Yeah. Well, it doesn't feel as good to win with that mentality, because I mean, what you're doing now is you're shifting from what your like original mindset was, I'm going to win. And then just winning your applying the strategy, that's a little bit more, you know, you're using offense, you're using more aggression, and you're really pressing the other team versus now we're sort of pulling back and managing.
Starting point is 00:44:27 And for me, like I've always just tried to maintain as much as possible that that that win. So if I lose, I just know that at least I kept, you know, that same sort of motivation and that energy going in that direction because that's like, I want to keep that sort of mentality because it feels I know the feeling on the other side of that mentality because that's like, I wanna keep that sort of mentality because it feels, I know the feeling on the other side of that mentality versus being paranoid, I'm gonna lose. So years ago, they did this big study or this poll
Starting point is 00:44:54 and they repeated it a couple times where they ask groups of people and they say, would you rather have the whole world dramatically increase their prosperity, but America be the second most prosperous country, or would you rather have the whole world dramatically reduce in prosperity? So now there's a lot more poverty and things are a lot worse. But America's number one. And most people said they'd rather have the second one, where America's number one, but everything's shitier. And that is a fucked up, that's a fucked up mentality. Yeah. That's a very jealous, this
Starting point is 00:45:24 is why you get people who are garrisoning mindset. Well, they're just be like, look, forget the fact that everybody's doing better. I'm just mad that the people over here are doing better in comparison to how they did better than I am, even though I've also done better. That makes me mad because they're doing so much better
Starting point is 00:45:41 and I'm only doing this much better. That's a scary mindset you see a mindset? You should even tell it. You see it in business all the time. Right. Yeah. I mean, a little, a business tip on, well, I think something that we, we did in our space that you just don't see a lot of is at people that have
Starting point is 00:45:58 like a, a business like ours, right? I mean, we just had Jordan shallow in here. Jordan shallow, uh, come, allow gets access to our private forum and it's a way that we can give to our forum, right? So our forum gets access to this brilliant mind who comes on there and answers questions for an hour, right? How cool is that? Now, most people won't do this
Starting point is 00:46:20 and they wouldn't do this as a business because they're afraid that, well, guess what, Jordan sells online programs and offers coaching and has his own podcast. He would take our people. He would take our people. And he's a very smart guy, smarter than I am, for sure, especially when it comes to biomechanics and fitness, right?
Starting point is 00:46:38 I mean, that's a brilliant mind. So most people in our space would never, it's like allowing the woof inside the chicken dinner, or whatever, right? So that's what most people look at, look at their business that way, and it's a scarcity mindset. I've never operated that way.
Starting point is 00:46:55 I've never, none of us have, which is why we all encourage those things. And it's actually what's helped us grow is that we have that mindset, that listen, if this guy can come in and he can provide more value to others lives more than what I could. I don't care if they go out somewhere else because you know what I would I know is that
Starting point is 00:47:12 person will end up sharing with other people like man I love mine pump mine pump introduced me to Jordan shallow. And even if it's everybody right even if you're going off and spending your money with Jordan shallow and not with mine pump It's still I still see it as a win in the overall the overall it is Nothing's more disappointing to me Then it's happened twice now twice since we've started this this business Where nothing's more disappointing than seeing someone with lots of potential and talent like a tremendous amount of potential
Starting point is 00:47:43 And you and we identify it, you know, I'll see this person, like, oh, this person, it's got good information, a lot of talent, they could really grow. All they would need is a little bit of our help. Yeah, but what's in it for me? And then I go talk to them, and then their response is, well, okay, well, how much are you gonna pay me?
Starting point is 00:48:01 Or I don't know, you know, I don't know if I can make the time for that because this and that, maybe you guys can reimburse me for this. I gotta drive 45 minutes. Yeah, or whatever. It's like, are you fucking serious? We are introducing you to a massive audience.
Starting point is 00:48:13 We're producing all this media. Our job and goal literally, we're not making any money off you. We just want the content. We just wanna make the relationship and introducing to people and you do whatever you want with it. And you're asking me How much I'm going to pay you and all this other stuff?
Starting point is 00:48:27 Go fly a fucking car. Yeah, that's well listen You have your priorities and that's fine You're just never going to work with me again and at some point and I know there's there's two people It's happened with the one of them happen a long time ago and for sure I know this the first individual looks at everything now and goes I fucked up Oh, I totally fucked up because they lost an opportunity because they were so short-sighted and they had that stupid mentality, which is just a lot of people. They don't realize we're just trying to lift them up.
Starting point is 00:48:54 As much as we want to grow, we want them to grow with us. It's not like a competitive thing. Just trust us. Well, I remember this when being a trainer and then being a manager of trainers and it reminds me the same feeling of me allowing my trainers to train my clients too and people just did not understand that.
Starting point is 00:49:17 They just thought that was so crazy. And I'm sure in my entire career, I'm sure that I lost a client that way. I'm for sure I am, but I didn't look at it as like a fuck the trainer who took my client because I allowed them a trainer. I looked at it like, oh shit. I let somebody who I'm doing something.
Starting point is 00:49:31 I'm the boss, right? I'm supposed to be better than you are. You train my client and now they wanna train with you. Like, whoa, what a great growth opportunity for me. Like someone that is working for me could actually win over a client of mine that I established the first relationship with. I look at our business the same way. If Jordan shallow came in and spoke to our audience or anybody for that matter, I'm just using
Starting point is 00:49:53 his example because he was here this morning, you know, if someone comes in and they take and our whole audience leaves to them, well, wow, there's a lot of stuff. There's a lot of self-reflection. There's a lot of shit that we need to work on. I mean, if you're a true, because a lot of people say, like, I'm a competitor, I like to compete. And no, that's not, sometimes that's not true. They think that's what they are,
Starting point is 00:50:13 but they're really not, because a true competitor is this. A true competitor is somebody that wants to compete against someone when they are at their absolute best. And I don't mean myself. Like, yes, when I compete, I want to be at my best, but I want my opponent to be at their absolute best.
Starting point is 00:50:26 And then if I beat them, then I won. I don't wanna enter, I don't wanna enter into a race. Let's say I'm a sprinter, and now I'm entering into this competition, and I know my competition is, you know, Adam, right? Let's say Adam is another good sprinter, and everybody's saying, oh, you know, it's gonna be, you know, touchy, let's see, we could be first place
Starting point is 00:50:44 you or first place him, we don't know. And then we enter the competition, and Adam sprints his oh, you know, it's gonna be, you know, touchy, let's see, we could be first place you or first place him, we don't know. And then we enter the competition and Adam springs his ankle and I win. Am I fucking, is that a win? No, I don't get a chance to compete against him. I compete against a dude who heard his ankle. I want to compete against people
Starting point is 00:50:57 when they're at their absolute best, so I can test my best against their best. And then that is a win. And if I lose at that, I'm okay with that. If I win because the other competition is fucked or because I gave them the wrong information, I tricked them or whatever, it doesn't fucking count. It doesn't count at all.
Starting point is 00:51:15 And so that's the kind of attitude I think will take you far in life because here's the deal. 100% you will not win everything, guaranteed. Nobody ever wins everything. It just doesn't work that way. Well, I'll talk about winning. I'm gonna make a transition over into sports because I just read this this morning
Starting point is 00:51:30 and I thought this was crazy, dude. So, you know who Ronaldo is, the soccer player? You know he just got traded to another team. I don't know if you guys know. Okay, so you just can resell that? Well, I can't believe you're watching soccer now. No, I'm not. I'm not.
Starting point is 00:51:41 This is hate. I'm trying to redeem myself for all the people hating me about soccer right now. So I got some soccer. He's pronounced football. Yeah. Okay, asshole. Boy did I ruffle some feathers on that.
Starting point is 00:51:54 Oh man. It's still. And you double down. It's so fun. It's still, I know. It's kind of fun to raffle fans and players are for sure the most sensitive. You can talk shit about a football fan and play like
Starting point is 00:52:05 They just like You'll throw some pants off. That's why it's like an age old thing I mean we had we had to share the field a little bit of seeing soccer players and we would always measure it Based off of who was was in you know the sports medicine like getting treatment like before and after like it was all soccer players It's like two football guys in there What what are you guys doing they didn't hurt so often? Oh my god Yeah, but you snakes
Starting point is 00:52:35 The the soccer fans are so You go to a game. It's amazing. Bro. It's the only sport. I know I know Upwork who again. It's always sport with every game they stand up the entire fucking game it's the only and sing the song I wish we had that kind of fan base for footballs what I'm well you know I don't think you do it's the only sport that I know where if a player fucks up bad enough you his life is at risk there was a Colombian player I believe who scored a goal in his own fucking goal and accident got killed killed when he got got off the plane. Yeah, yeah, this is this was years ago. Here's a guy. Well, you're talking about what well and fucking back in the days. Do people get waffled? Well, all the and I don't I think it still is you know what that is. No, okay, so when
Starting point is 00:53:14 everybody gets like pushed into like a fence and oh And then get smashed yeah like soccer player from that bro soccer players are crazy crazy crazy crazy crazy crazy That's why I look at you and almost look at you Like that's like stop there all like it. We're just teasing. What's like six of the biggest fucking mafia's like own soccer team Oh, just like over the last like I don't know if it still exists that way I know it was just like 20 30 years like that. So I don't that probably is why someone got killed had nothing to do with Yeah, it was a bet. Yeah, 100%. You just fuck some mobster over.
Starting point is 00:53:46 What happened in 1994? 1984, a Colombian player made a goal. Yeah, bro, we got fucking killed. Yeah, in Colombia, bro, that's still, that's all run by all the cartel. Dude, for sure. Colombian drugs. What?
Starting point is 00:53:59 Yeah, 100%. But anyways, so Ronaldo is, goes to another team. Yesterday, T-shirt sells. For Jersey sales, the team made $62 million. Wow. 540,000 Jersey sold in a day. Holy shit. He's one of the most popular ones there is.
Starting point is 00:54:19 Well, he's the most popular athlete in the world. By far. Yeah, he's the most popular. You know what it is. Well, first of all, 62 million, you're business by acquiring this guy. That's insane. That's insane.
Starting point is 00:54:30 Here's why I think it's such a passionate, like insanely passionate sport. First off, they have a world cup where countries play against other countries and people have a lot of national pride, right? So you actually, so it's like the Olympics, but way, way, way, you know, way more passion, way more passion.
Starting point is 00:54:47 It's all directed into one thing instead of like all kinds of different sports. And then because, you know, over three billion people and the fans and the, of soccer fans in the world and billions of people play it, you have a lot, like the poorest communities in the world. Just so you know, this is what the statement you're making, the argument you're making right now,
Starting point is 00:55:04 this is part of my belief of why basketball and football could catch up to it is because right now we dominate here. If soccer was dominated by one country and just fucked everybody up all the time forever, it wouldn't be as popular, but it's because there's actually all these other countries actually have a legitimate chance because they have great players too.
Starting point is 00:55:23 When you start seeing like a MBA association in Europe and that is competitive and we can play world, we can do like a world league or like a let it come more competitive. Here's the catch up. I could see super competitive. I could see football growing. Right now they all fly here. They all come over here from other states to play here because they're paying better. He is.
Starting point is 00:55:43 And the league is better. And so we're plucking all the players that are ever, other ones. Yeah, yeah, I get that. But here's it. I keep saying this. You got this is a real internet. It's going to change.
Starting point is 00:55:53 No, this is a legitimate. This is a legitimate, uh, fact is that football is expensive and expensive sports have, it's not, they don't have a lot of access. That's a weird fact you use. It's a very true one. Look, whether it's true or not, it's just a weird one that you use. Listen, you go to, go to some, you go to use. It's a very true one. It's not whether it's true or not. It's just a weird one that you use. Listen, you go to some, you go to the basketball, it's fucking cheaper.
Starting point is 00:56:08 Basketball has way better chance. And basketball has better chance. Okay, so then let's use that one. Stop using that fucking argument. It's a terrible argument. Okay, who cares? Let's just take football out of it. Basketball will catch up to soccer.
Starting point is 00:56:18 I could, I don't think it'll catch up, but I don't think it'll catch up. I think it has a long way to go to catch up. Oh my God, you look at 3 billion fans versus 500 million. Long, you're talking about Facebook and fucking Instagram and social media not being around until the last 10, 15 years. Wait till 20 more years, this shit's been around. In our lifetime, watch.
Starting point is 00:56:38 Here's the deal, here's the deal. Bad, and this makes, this actually is an important fact taking consideration. You go to the poorest villages in africa you go to poorer areas of south america kids can play soccer with a rudimentary ball and they don't need anything else they play in the dirt they play in the streets most kids growing up in a lot of these countries play soccer in the streets bro you can play i mean bums have iPhones, dude. Before you know it, you can tag on the America without a pass.
Starting point is 00:57:07 It's good, it's good to happen. No, American, more people are getting, you gotta have a fucking hoop. Poor people in America have a higher standard living than some of these, some of these people in these other countries. That's a fact. So, you're right, but not over there.
Starting point is 00:57:18 So, it's totally different. So, you've got all these, and here's the other reason why I'm here. You get a milk crate. I mean, you got a hoop right there. Yeah, sure, you gotta have a milk crate'm not I'm not saying this to be funny Like yeah, I know we got a net you know or something nothing Nothing yeah, you put a little rocks up some of these kids some of these kids will we'll go to they'll go to dumpsters and
Starting point is 00:57:37 Finding the bands and I mean you could argue that that soccer is the factor the the cheapest and I don't but I don't think that's enough to Keep it as the most dominant. It's widespread. It's the it's the reason why soccer spreads so fast. Okay. Okay. Okay That's why it explode. Okay. I'll take that you know pre pre-internet You know, I could see you that would be like hey real easy to learn not very expensive Anybody could pretty much pick it up and you can get good at it, even in those circumstances, where you have players who played barefoot their entire life and then somehow gets discovered. And then they're playing these fucking crazy leagues.
Starting point is 00:58:12 You see this all the time, you see these African teams that have no, you should see some of the gyms they train in. And they're competing in the World Cup. And some of them are doing pretty decent and getting kind of far. So I mean, those are all, those are all big facts. And that's also why they're so passionate because if you're that poor and you're playing
Starting point is 00:58:29 this one sport that you can play and you can watch it on maybe TV or hear about it and your country's competing in it, man, that just, I don't know how that's gonna be overtaken. I just don't see it. Yeah, I don't know, maybe, maybe. You guys see me. I'm scared to travel to Europe with you already, right? Right, right. I know, I know, I don't know. Maybe, maybe. Uh, you guys say me. I don't want. I'm scared
Starting point is 00:58:45 to travel to Europe with you already. Right? I know. I know. I just remember one of us. One of us is a support. I mean, it's, it's a fun debate. I think I get some of your points when you make, when you make the, have you ever seen like a high, high, high level soccer player kick a ball and bend that shit into the goal. That is some creepy. Did I used to play for a long time? I play for seven years. Hey, I'm a fan. Do you guys know? Do you guys know this? This is? No, it's not.
Starting point is 00:59:12 No, that's it. That was a myth. Yeah. Did you sign Joe Rogan's go? Did you see? Yeah. Okay, sign as a white power symbol. Did you see all the controversy? It's stirred up though. Did you? Did you see Joe Rogan's post? Yeah. Oh, stupid. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:59:25 Yeah, because I mean, even this, when you hold it down, is like, that's a game where it's like, yeah. If you look at, oh, now I get to slug you. Yeah. Like, that was all that was. No, what it means something else. Here's how it started. It was on the 4chan website, and there were, and so 4chan and Reddit have many times
Starting point is 00:59:40 started these controversies on purpose to see what they can do. And so one of these was these guys said, hey, let's make everybody think that the okay symbol is white power. So they put out this false story and then shit just spreads on, and if it's anything to do with racism or whatever, or conspiracy like that, it's gonna spread. And so you have a bunch of people saying,
Starting point is 01:00:00 don't make it simple, you're being fucking racist. Dude, the okay symbol's been around for for I don't know how many hundreds of years Right, you know that's absolutely I think that's a point that Joe was trying to make is that's how hilarious is that it's something that was made up But we we live in this such a charged era now where someone says something looking for something right real quick Oh my god, I can't believe you did that. No look. He's doing the okay symbol in that picture from 1975 I knew he was Okay symbol in that picture from 1975 I knew he was You put easy put Bill Cosby will calm down Not necessarily the best example
Starting point is 01:00:38 So there's another one that had me rolling last night there was another one that a group on reddit did so there was a group of people on reddit who were Just anti-LGBT right there against against the gay community and talking all kinds of shit. They came up with this conspiracy to say that the pedophiles are trying to normalize their sexual orientation and that the LGBT community is gonna put them in their group. And then they made all these fake memes
Starting point is 01:01:00 that said LGBTP to stand for, you know, pedophile, whatever, to bring them in. And then what it did is it angered all the people, all the conservatives who then believed in this conspiracy. They're saying, oh my God, they're letting the pedophiles in. We knew it all made up. It was all made up on Reddit. And they did exactly what they were trying to do. So it's an interesting way of warfare now that we're saying.
Starting point is 01:01:21 Bob could be manipulated so easily. Dude, just so like on on just like this knee jerk reaction response to everything. It's we all need to calm down, take some deep breaths, you know, assess like what the intent is, you know, like is this where's the source coming from? I had a family member actually post stuff and saying, oh my god, the LGBT community is letting them in
Starting point is 01:01:44 and saying it's another sexual orientation and people were commenting and all pissed off and I looked at it and I commented and I'm like, let's be clear here, nobody wants pedophiles in their fucking group. That's instant, like you're instantly destroyed, you know, publicly. Nobody wants that and I did a little bit of research and I'm like, here you go, it was a group on Reddit trying to did this on purpose and knew this would happen. And now you guys fucking bought into it. It's bullshit. Same thing with the okay symbol. It's, it's an interesting era of cyber warfare though. That's what that is. Yeah. Where you can spread, you know, a myth
Starting point is 01:02:17 or whatever or something that's false. And then it starts to get legs on its own. And then before you know it, people believe that, I don't know, Obama, he was born in somewhere else and he's a Muslim or these types of things just build get legs. People start to believe it, but it's all bullshit. It's a whole new era. Well, there's a good old saying that I remember of some wise man.
Starting point is 01:02:39 He's told me, believe half of what you see and nothing that you hear. I swear, it's so true. It is. It's absolutely. It's half the things you see. You that you hear. I swear, it's so true. It is. It's absolutely. It's half the things you see. You perceive differently and there's more going on, which then meets the eye.
Starting point is 01:02:51 And then most of what you hear is you can barely even trust your own memories. Yeah, right. I mean, the way I look at it is just leave people themselves, let them take care of themselves, and that's it. Yeah, it's hard. Yeah, don't hurt anybody don't steal. And then you're done. Anyway, this will be a good contest, gentlemen.
Starting point is 01:03:05 Well, we're excited. We're heading over now to go get the dunk. We're gonna head over to the Nutra Shop at Bernal. I wanted to schedule the, we were gonna have a truck come here and they're gonna have a hydrostatic wave. Yeah, so what we're gonna do is like, it was just gonna postpone this too long.
Starting point is 01:03:21 Everybody wants to get going. Yeah, we'll just do it this way. So we're gonna head down there. So we should all take pictures too, unless you want to take your own, so like, shirt off front side back or what? Yeah, I think we can do that. I think that everybody should be responsible for that
Starting point is 01:03:34 and that would be something that we share at the very reveal everything at the end, the beginning and the after. We'll just have to have our audience trust the today. We do that. Yeah, yeah, at some point today, take a photo. Just shave your back, just like I did. I guess some pimples.
Starting point is 01:03:46 And I highly recommend you try to look as fat as possible and as miserable as possible, just like they do in the before and after pictures. Like I did that one time. Yeah, just like look at the way that's as bad as you can and the picture that your wife got pissed off of. She's so mad. She's so mad at me.
Starting point is 01:04:02 Yeah, that'll be good. You don't look like this. Oh, I did that day. Because I'll share all even share like my, you know, my, you know, man's caping and tanning strategies leading into the final picture. Are you gonna do all that? See, that's where you have the game.
Starting point is 01:04:14 That's the secret sauce. Yeah. Yeah, I'm, hey, whatever, you know what I'm saying? Like you have, you can, you can do it too. It's not something you can't do. I'm gonna plan on being super orange at the end. Yeah, I'm gonna do the spray tan on Justin. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:24 Oh, I am gonna do the BPC 157, I am gonna try that. I don't know if that's gonna benefit me. You're not be me. Well, you're using it for your gut, right? That's the reason. I wanna see if it helps my gut. Yeah, I wanna see if, because it's supposed to. Now, you know what I read?
Starting point is 01:04:34 I read online that people will eat it, will actually squirt it in their mouth for gut health. Doesn't make any sense to me. I feel like your gut would destroy it, right? Yeah. But that's what I read. I'm still gonna do the injection things.'m going to need your help to doing that.
