Your best self is one decision
away.
Start with mindset.
On the bottom of my heart, man,
you deserve better.
All right?
There's some of my heart.
you, you're still going to the gas station and you're putting in half a tank of gas when you
know you need a full take a gas.
For some reason, you still just giving them enough so you can keep it on and you're not
living in the abundance.
Like you're not where you want to be in life.
And listen to me, at some point in life, you have to tell yourself because you don't make
the adjustment, you don't make the ship in life until you get to the point where you say
enough is enough.
And listen to me, you deserve better.
I heard a song that said, you deserve more than the usual.
Living the life that you don't want, not wearing what you want to wear, not dating who you want to date.
I don't want to risk it, right?
Or like you're in the job and every day you go there and you're like, I mean, it's okay.
And the idea of just living an okay life just sounds so terrifying to me that the freedom to fail over and over again is still more fulfilling to me.
At least it feels like it's real than walking through kind of on autopilot.
If nobody's told you today, let me be the first to tell you, the life that you desire.
The new life that you want, that you hold in your head that you only dream of, it will cost you your old life.
Today's pain is tomorrow's power.
It don't feel good right now.
I don't like it.
I want to leave it.
I want to throw in a town.
I want to walk away from it all.
But I've got to be able to see the power of what lies ahead.
You deserve better. Never settle for less. Look at your relationships. You're settling. Look at your career. You're settling. You make a better millionaire than you would a welfare recipient. You make a better millionaire than you would just barely getting by. You make a better doctor, a better lawyer, a better teacher, a better activist, a better what? I don't know. A better husband. A better son. I don't know. I'm just saying, stop settling. Stop settling for less.
You deserve the best.
You do not deserve the usual.
When it's on you, it's on you to hunker down and know that you made a promise to yourself to be better,
it changed my life.
Like I found out and discovered so much about myself as a human.
Like you discover who you really are in the face of adversity.
Do you actually want to do this or not?
Because if you actually want to do it, what's going to stop you?
Nothing.
And if you don't really want to do it,
What's going to stop you?
Just about anything that comes up.
Just about any obstacle it gets in your way becomes an excuse.
It becomes a reason.
It comes a rationale for not proceeding down that path.
How bad do you want it?
How bad do you want your dream?
It's so much easier to forget that vision than to remember it.
So if you're going to remember it, you've got to keep it alive in your mind.
To me, the fundamental part of it is just motivation.
You have to want it more than you fear.
You've got to want to succeed more than you fear doing what.
types to get there. What do you actually want? I believed that I was going to become this massive
successful artist. I had already, like my success was decided by me in my head. The outcome was non-negotiable.
It was inevitable. If you actually know yourself, like if you actually know what you want to happen in your
life or like how you're hardwired, the second you make that shift to actually reverse engineer that at all costs,
including short-term losses, you win.
Ask yourself, where do I want to go?
And the easiest way for me to figure out that is, who am I jealous of?
That usually shows up a lot faster than who am I inspired by.
What do you want?
And I ask you, what do you want?
Listen to me, the only thing that's going to get you up out that bed,
the only thing that's going to make you strive past that obstacle,
get past that brick wall, and it's coming.
The only thing that's going to make you get up and do what you're supposed to do is what you see.
If you simply go after that thing that you want, with the help of God, you'll get it.
What do you want?
Let that shit in.
Because I don't think you're answering yourself this question enough.
Somebody told you to just graduate high school, graduate college, get a job, work that job, the rest of your life.
Have kids, get married and die.
Somebody told you that.
But I want to ask you, what do you work?
What do you believe you were destined to do?
Go out and fight for it.
Work day and night for it.
Give up your time, your peace, and your sleep for it.
And then you got to spend every single solitary day for the rest of your life going after that dream.
What is your dream?
You want something in life.
You have to want it more than anybody.
else. But it's like, oh, do you want to do this or not? Which is what I think a lot of it boils down to.
Do you actually want to do this or not? Some people know they want something more, but they don't know
exactly what it is. Yeah. And so they're in the uncertainty of, well, I'm not sure which direction I
should go in. And here's another problem I see is people have too many passions. I've got this idea,
and this idea and this idea, which one do I choose? And when someone has 10 different passions or
different roads that they could go down, how do they know which one they should go down?
That want to factor, that's the X factor. And, you know, people talk about willpower. Well,
I want to talk about want power. What does that mean? Oh, it's want power. How much do you
want this thing? Again, you know, how much are you in love?
with this ideal.
So many great businesses start precisely like this,
that somebody thinks there's this thing I really want and need
or that thrills me, and it sounds quite weird to everybody else,
and the person just sticks with it and just has a hunch about it.
Just as many, many business failures are all about someone going,
someone doing something, and then if you say to them,
do you want this, would you buy this thing?
And then they go, actually, no, I wouldn't.
So why are you making it for somebody else?
If it's got no resonance with you, you know, careful, careful.
You know, the biggest business disasters are people making stuff that they haven't asked themselves.
Would I really want this?
Yes.
What do you actually want?
They cannot answer that question, and they fill it with addictions, they fill it with hobbies,
they fill it with dopamine chase.
They fill it with so much stuff, and nobody can.
can answer that question, what do you want?
Jealousy is just blocked desire.
You can't feel jealous of somebody unless you authentically
want something for real that you think that they have.
And the jealousy happens because you have somewhere in your psyche told yourself you can't
have it.
You have to assume that there's no one else to help you.
What are you going to do about it?
wait for your cousin or big brother, you know what I'm saying? I didn't have no big brothers or sisters,
right? That means you got to fight your own battles. That means you have to be more calculated.
You got to know self-love. You got to understand the words that you tell yourself means something.
The outcome was non-negotiable. It was inevitable. And when something's inevitable, the choices aren't
choices. They're just, I was living in the process. It was the identity alignment. It was,
this is who I'm becoming. And this is what that person does. Which is why my discipline and consistency
seeing work ethic that a lot of people clap for.
It never felt heroic or dramatic.
It just felt obvious.
That's the fundamental part.
So for me, it's creating enough motivation first and foremost desire,
understanding what you're chasing and why you're chasing.
You've got to create it, then, of course, go out and find out how to do it.
Your excuses will destroy you and take everything that you ever wanted from you if you let them.
And so for that poor soul, although they might be happy, content, doing fine, really, but kind of like something to change and be bigger and better.
When your excuses make you feel a little bit better about the fact that you didn't execute on what you needed to execute on, then they can make you feel better.
But they're not helping you.
They're not helping you at all.
Those dreams are there for a reason.
See, I think that they are the beacons out in the field.
future that are directional signals. Just because you have this dream doesn't mean you're going
to get it. The dream's purpose in your life is to get your head out of the sand and to look out
ahead and to point you in a different direction. So I'm asking you to write it down and I'm asking you
three quick things, three things. The first one, I'm asking you to write it down and then I ask you
to keep writing it. And I'm not asking you to keep writing it because I'm trying to be deep,
right? I'm asking you to keep writing it because the more you write it and the more you see it,
the more clear it becomes. And so for some of you, the reason why you quit every year around
March, where you quit around June because you can't see it. The nightmare is to reach our 60s,
our 70s, our 80s, or even our deathbed, and to talk about everything we should have done.
I should have done that. I should have been bested in this. I should have made the relationship
at work. I shouldn't have got a divorce. We talk about all the things we wanted to do,
but never got it done. That, that's the nightmare. That's the nightmare that we all must avoid.
With all of your capacity, strength and sagacity, faith, hope, and confidence, and stern pertinacity,
if neither cold poverty, famished or gall, sickness of pain, a body and brain can keep you away
from the thing that you want. If dogged and grim, you besiege and beset it with the help of
God, you'll get it.
And it's hard.
And I don't want to get into not practical stuff
of you're not being able to pay student loans or rent
or upset your parents or your spouse,
but, man, you'll only really get to do this one time.
And like, playing a game that doesn't map
what you actually want it to be
is a really big mistake.
I know it hurts.
I know you're bleeding.
I know this pain feels like a barrier
and you're broken.
And you feel like you can't.
I can't keep going.
I know what that feels like.
I know precisely what that feels like.
I got one question for you.
How tired are you of where you are right now?
What are you willing to do?
What are you willing to sacrifice?
What are you willing to give up?
Who are you willing to let go to get where it is that you want to be?
Here is my question.
Can you learn how to say no to what's hurting you?
to what's hurting you, no to what's stopping you,
no to what's hindering you,
no to the people that don't believe in you.
The biggest problem that you have had
is not that you don't have resources,
it's not that you don't have supporters.
It's not that somebody doesn't believe in you.
It's that you have not believed in you.
Get your head in the game.
Every time you made a change, you got hurt.
And so this,
This is why when you hear the word change, there is a mental block.
You cannot change because you have equated change with pain.
Every time you have changed, you feel pain.
I want to help you see change differently today.
Even though in your childhood you were traumatized because of change.
And you are wrapped in the notion hypnotized
by the pain of change.
Your history is not your destiny.
Change is an invitation to the future.
If I can change, I can have my future.
I see that if I don't change,
there is a generation of people
who are going to be stuck in the same place.
Change is inevitable.
And you are either changing for the worse
or changing for the better.
You decide.
I don't know who you are, where you're from,
But there's more in you.
You may be hurting.
It may be dying on the inside.
But you still got life left.
You listening to me?
You're watching this video.
Millions of speeches online.
And you are here with me for such a time as this.
Destiny is calling.
You're still waiting on that alarm clock to wake you up.
You're still depending on a side.
to get you up and get you moving.
You depend on it so much
because you're too lazy to get up out of that bed
and get on with your life.
Got a long clock,
ain't got no business for you.
You live in your life like tomorrow is yours.
You have a loud laziness to control you
because you don't want to get yourself up,
Enough! Hit the reset button and get to work. Rebuild your life. Your life is precious. Fight for it. Get out of the abyss of misery. Get some air in your lungs and start living again. Tell weakness to shut up. Tell excuses to be quiet. Pity won't save you. You looking for a way out. I'm telling you to find a way in. Stop looking.
for help all the time and help yourself.
Fine.
Don't you dare say you're done.
You don't have permission to give up.
I never said it was going to be easy.
You're going to be judged.
You're going to be put down.
Not everybody's going to support you.
Not everybody's going to believe in you.
There are going to come times
where you're going to be broken all to pieces.
And you're going to feel like you cannot get it all together.
You can't seem to bring your life back on track.
But get that mess out of your ears and listen to the words that I'm saying.
You can put your life back together again.
You have the faith.
You have the strength.
You have the knowledge.
You have the ability.
Now go to work and do your business.
No more of saying that you're not strong enough.
No more of saying I tried.
Stop trying and start doing it.
Your life has meaning.
Your life has purpose.
Your strength is within you.
You were born with it.
There's something internal inside of you that has more power than your flesh.
Whatever circumstance that you are dealing with right now in your life,
I am telling you right now it is only going to last for a short time.
Every day something is changing in somebody's life.
Your life is changing.
My life is changing.
Your loved ones' lives are changing.
Stop wasting time doing nothing with your life.
Because you only got so much time, people.
Keep in mind, ladies and gentlemen,
there's one thing that we cannot escape.
Incredible is coming for all of us.
It's something that we cannot escape.
Life is no joke, ladies and gentlemen, but it is such an amazing gift.
What we do with it depends on how we live it.
Think about what you're doing with your life.
I get it.
People are hurting.
People are miserable from time to time.
People are angry from time to time.
I understand it.
You know why?
because you're a human being and being human is hard being human is tough but guess what
nobody can do you better than you ladies and gentlemen find a way to understand that your life
does matter and it is not over put it back together again with passion with conviction
with purpose with will but if you're sitting there
around, being miserable, looking for a pity party, looking for someone to save you, you're
going to be in the world of hurt.
Stop with that madness of being pity.
The world is what it is.
People do what they do.
Not everyone is decent.
Not everyone means you well.
And the world don't stop because you're having a bad day.
having a good day because you're still alive.
That means it's a good day.
Maybe it wasn't a great day, but it was a good day because you made it and you're still
alive.
Everybody's going to fall.
Everybody's going to get knocked down.
But you don't have to stay there, ladies and gentlemen.
As I always say, get back up and keep pushing forward.
Nobody's coming down there to get you.
You gotta get up.
I'm looking for someone to pull you out of a situation that you did not have to be in.
I'm looking for this person.
I'm looking for that person to bail me out.
No, bail yourself out.
Figure it out.
Don't look for everybody to save you and get you out of your mess.
Get yourself out of your mess sometimes.
Don't depend on others to make you happy.
Don't depend on others to give you a better life than what you have today.
You're depending on other people.
Instead of depending on you, have some integrity about yourself.
Stand on your morals and your principles.
Stop selling yourself out.
You don't have to start over.
Start up today.
Do something and do it today.
How much time do you think you have left?
Don't live your life as if you're going to go on forever.
don't live your life
and assume that all you good for
is being miserable
let me let you know right now
ladies and gentlemen those that have had
it easy don't know tough
easy do not understand the significance
of toughness
don't you dare look to them
for strength
that's now how it works
ladies and gentlemen
put it aside
and do better with your life.
Rebuild it.
Let your actions speak louder than your excuses.
Let your actions speak louder than your weakness.
Let your actions flow through your veins.
You reconstruct your life.
But if you're not applying yourself to better your own,
mentally, physically, or even spiritually, then you will remain broken.
Enough with the weakness!
You put more effort and excuses and weakness, but you refuse to find a way to be strong.
If you're a man, you better be a better man.
If you're a woman, you better be a better woman.
We are fighting for our lives every single day, people.
Don't kill your life, people.
Sometimes when things get broken, it doesn't mean that they're broken forever.
Find a way to stand and push through life and keep going forward.
Be productive.
Stay strong.
Never quit.
And from the bottom of my heart, ladies and gentlemen, conduct your business.
