It's grind season, homie.
There's no excuses.
There's no breaks.
There's no days off.
It doesn't happen.
It's up to you.
The ball's in your fucking court.
No more fucking around.
You want your life to be better?
I can't help you.
Lee can't help you.
Joe Rodin can't help you.
Ari can't help you.
God can't fucking help you.
Only you can fucking help you.
can help you grab your balls get a fucking notebook and write down what the
you're gonna do this year no more fucking excuses this is the year of the fucking soldier we're
going in like the Marines you understand me we're getting back what belongs us and that's it
no more fucking around you didn't have nothing else left in your legs you couldn't run a little
bit further you couldn't pedal that bike a little bit faster because you had nothing else left
Must come out.
Like, if you're feeling any angst,
it's because you don't love the process more than the results.
You're thinking about $10,000 a month in AdSense
instead of loving the dirt.
When you have nothing left,
that's when it's showtime.
When you find a way out of no way,
when you find breath that you don't have,
when you find energy that did not exist,
when you want this thing as bad as you want to breathe,
that's when you find a way.
If you keep breathing past anxiety,
you'll make it.
If you keep breathing past to fear, you'll make it.
If you keep breathing past to trauma, you'll make it.
If you keep breathing past, you'll worry in death, you'll make it!
You will never see a U-Haul behind a hearse.
And you get up and you go, even against knocking, just keep going, keep going, you're a wild man.
And life has never been so sweet.
It's angry, lucky stars that finally you're alive.
It's time to unwrath with a potential you can be.
It's superior, man.
It's within you.
If you had to create a human, what would you put them through to make them tough?
It probably wouldn't be a really chill life.
What would you put them through to make them patient?
You probably wouldn't give them things immediately.
And so it's like we want these traits, but each of the traits has a price tag attached to it.
It's just like, do you want to pay the price tag to get the thing?
It's grind season, homie.
How much time can you give to this?
There comes that day.
It's either when you're young, you know, and it strikes you on the baseball field because
sick of striking out, or it's when you get fired from your fifth job, you know,
when your wife and kids are on your ass because you don't know how to support them anymore.
There comes a fucking day where push comes a shell, where being mediocre, being like average
and shit just f-bting burns, it sucks so much.
Because if someone says I want to eventually be a professional bodybuilder,
and I've got nothing but time in my week to do the thing, very different plan.
That one is quite psychological, because it's one.
well-in-good me having the tactics and strategies and the information, but if I don't
have the motivation, none of it's going to matter anyway. So is step one psychological in
some way? Absolutely. So many people forget the fact that we can't change what's happened.
We can only change what's going to happen. Learn from it. Change, move forward.
The part you that nobody sees, where's your integrity behind the scenes? Come on, where are your
values behind the scenes? What do your hagglers look like behind the
scene. Come on, what kind of work are you putting in behind the scenes? Come on, drop down and give me 50.
Come on, light it again. Come on, believe it again. Come on, sing again, record the soul again.
Come on, I'm talking to that athlete. I'm talking to that musician. Come on, who are you out there?
You can't deal with it one more day and you get off your f*** ass and you create something.
It's always been there. It's always been inside of you, find to come out. But you've never
wanted to unwrap it because there's too much campaign and commitment.
I need you to get up. I need you to wake up.
This will tell me a lot, don't you get it? I need you to get up because we got work to do.
If you're going to do it, if you're going to accomplish it, if you're going to achieve it,
even if you're confused and it's cold and it looks crazy, and you're going to need to know
the difference between contribution and commitment. Because there are two very different things.
See, everybody wants to contribute to destiny, but nobody wants to be committed to destiny.
The light is there.
It's at the end of the tunnel.
And no matter how fucking dark it's been up until this point, no matter how dark your life has been up until now, the light is there.
Nothing changes if nothing changes, man.
In order for something to change, there needs to be change.
They'd say, well, I'm afraid to make a change.
I'd say, that's okay.
That's understandable.
How afraid are you of not making a change?
Let's make a little vision of that.
You're a 35, you hate your job.
What's the consequence?
You're not motivated.
You don't want to get out of bed in the morning.
You're starting to get depressed.
You're getting bitter.
You're getting resentful.
You're getting cynical.
You're a-motivated at work.
You're not doing a very good job.
And you're starting to shrink.
Now, play that out for 10 years.
You don't change it, you don't fix it.
And what happens?
You're going to be in the same situation, but 10 years older.
And if you can't get out of that situation now,
what the hell makes you think you're going to get out of it in 10 years?
You're only seeing what's in front of you.
You're not seeing what's above you.
I can't change the beginning, but could I change the middle?
Could I change, can I edit that story?
We rewrite that story.
and changed my entire life.
Everybody's so crippled by decisions,
but you never know how the other thing worked out.
Let me give you an example.
Let's say you don't go to college
and you start this business
and you were 100% right
and it's huge and you're doing so great.
But because you did that,
you had to fly to America for a big meeting
and your plane crashed and you died.
That would be a bad idea.
Or you think you're going to be.
going to go to college because it's a good experience and you'll meet people, you can meet
people in a business. You're not going to know. I think people overthink decisions. You'll
never know what the alternative would have been. So just pick one and do it. Change is inevitable.
And you are either changing for the worse or changing for the better. You decide.
I hope I do not believe in you more than you believe in yourself. Now listen to me, guys.
The transition is going to be hard. I'm not going to lie to you. Go from being on the block,
going to be a high school dropout to get in the GED, it's not, the transition is not easy.
So what happens?
In order for you to go from one level to the next level, in order for any man to transit,
listen to me, in order for any woman to transition, for any man to transition,
the thing that they want must be greater than the thing they currently have.
Listen to me very closely, I didn't come in here to tell you you're going to finish school.
I came to ask you what's next.
I came to ask you, what's next.
For me, it's the Nobel Prize.
I always think about other people that's going through a tougher life than I am.
What if I had to change places?
Would I trade places?
You know, that's something I would always say to people from time to time.
If I could take out a piece of paper and write down my problems,
and you could take out a piece of paper and write down your problems.
And we exchange those papers.
exchange those papers. And I'm thinking I got such a tough, tough life. And you may have a tough
life. But I pick up your paper, the one you may have written on. And I'm looking like, wow,
I thought I had it bad. And then the other person said, hey, you got it a lot better than I do.
You know what I would do. I would say, give me my paper back. I'll take my problems back.
The point that I'm saying is this. I didn't put my money.
myself in such a pity party position to where I felt why me? Why not me? Why shouldn't I go through this?
See, you have to know, and I believe this even more, that can never be anything good unless there's some bad along the way.
There has to be a challenge. There has to be a struggle. There has to be some setbacks.
You cannot think in your mind that that's all you good for is the good things.
How good are you when you at your weakest point in your life?
Where are you when you at the download of your life?
Then what do you do?
You are either going to evolve or expire.
See, everything changes, the economy changes, relationships changes.
We change mentally and emotionally and physically.
And you are either dying or you are either.
How am I a different person than I was this morning when I woke up?
The initial reaction would be that I'm not.
It's only been like 12 hours.
How could I be different?
But if I really think about it, what do I now know that I didn't know before?
What, you know, what experiences have I had that my partner self hadn't had when I had just woken up?
And if I actually think about it, just like gratitude, I'm creating the frame of my past.
I actually can and do see that I am different than my past self, even 12, 13 hours ago or the night before.
And by appreciating that, I now acknowledge that I've changed, which increases my psychological flexibility.
It allows me to see that I am not the same person, that I am growing, that I am evolving, which is really useful for then thinking of your future self as a different person.
You don't know.
Like, there is no time machine.
There's no future machine.
We're all over-analyzing everything.
Like, how do you know?
You don't.
Like, this is why I keep trying to push people.
The only thing that I know seems practical is, are you happy?
Are you happy today?
Feels like it's the right thing.
Are you like, this is important.
It's, you can't analyze.
Like, I didn't know that starting a YouTube show
for my wine business was gonna be the reason
that I was gonna have a huge investing career.
I couldn't see that.
This 30 seconds is your life passing you by,
an opportunity to change.
It's your prerogity.
You wanna go down the past
you have right now of your life and where it's going where do you see an alternate path that's
not flat line but climbing up an extra long of remembrance a possibility where dreams exist
legacy exists the possibility of change to within the grasp of these hands in the craft of 30 second
is within you had the will you're here i know you had will you have the intestinal fortitude you had the
want to change.
You only live once.
So do what you feel passionate about.
Take chances.
Don't be afraid to fail.
How do you know true strength?
When you never taste in your leaves.
When you never was down on your luck.
When you were at the bottom,
I had to ask you to something.
I realize you got to go through this hell, man.
This is it.
Because as long as you're living,
you got to keep moving.
all starts with a thought. But changing your thoughts is easy, it's free, can be instant. What's the
point of making it complicated? How does that help anyone who says, well, I'm messed up and so hard to
change and people can't change? It's like, well, that's not correct. Who taught you that?
From the minute you're born, you're changing. Oh, you know, it's long and arduous to recover.
No, it isn't. Some people will recover like that. Some people don't, but you could be one of the ones that
changes your thoughts, changes your feelings, changes your actions after all.
When do you experience the positive emotion that's associated with happiness?
The answer is, not when you've attained a goal, but when you're pursuing one.
Don't you realize excuses will kill you? It will destroy your well-being.
And the more excuses you make, the less effort you're going to get.
There's a million things I've done wrong. It's because I didn't do something that would have sent me
somewhere else but I have no idea you don't know you don't if you do not apply what you hear and it goes
over your head you will miss your moment nothing changes if nothing changes man you are a man
stand up and be a man make the hard decisions make the sacrifices make the unpopular decisions
and become comfortable in your own skin and if you are not a
person that you are comfortable being alone with, that is the one person in this universe that
you have full power, full right, and full responsibility to change. Like when do you become a man?
You become a man when you become responsible for other people. And part of that is taking
accountability. I grew up in a culture that told me going to war made you a man, going to prison,
coming back, coming back makes you a man. Making a million dollars makes you a man. I grew up on a culture.
you know and and it doesn't who teaches you to be a man we all have these ladders of battles
roads we have to walk in our given lives be you famous or or or whoever's out there
listening we all have our individual challenges it's cliche money don't make it better
it don't it fame just magnifies the problems and the opportunities
I never looked at things as problems.
I look at them as opportunities.
Maybe look, maybe that's something I can say.
You know, someone, ah, when she did this and I was,
well, what an opportunity you have?
Yeah, yeah, well the world, you know, because they did this
and said that, yeah, well, what an opportunity you have
to make a difference?
Because you never know who's watching.
Telling, winners fail a million times.
What makes it a winner is that they believe in it.
Their head's strong.
Nothing's going to stop that.
them. The spectators have tried it and failed it and remain sitting down. They don't get up
anymore because they don't believe it enough. The naysayers disbelief overrides their ability,
potential, and mental capacity that they can be more than that. Why is that? Why do people
assume that tomorrow is waiting for them? Why do people think that that son owes them some?
Why do people think that the idea of having more time is the best time to have?
You don't have a lot of time, ladies and gentlemen.
All you got is what you have, and what you have is what you need.
And what you need is to get up and be about your business.
Because life is just that.
It's business.
So what are you going to do?
Or you're going to lay around and wait for your opportunities to pass you by?
Arm yourself with words.
Be precise in your language.
Say what you mean.
Read, read great men and great women.
Make yourself literate.
Get your tongue in order.
Get it under your own control.
Get rid of the ums and the likes and the you knows and the pauses
and get rid of everything you say that you only say to impress other people
and just see if you can say what you believe to be true.
There's sometimes you could be in the meeting
and you could be the smartest guy in the room.
And you don't want to let anybody know that.
Let everybody think they're smarter than you.
But you really know what's going on.
There's other times when you're in the room,
you could be the least smartest guy in the room,
but you've got to make them think that you're smarter than them.
And if you can master that technique,
then you can get just about anything you want in any negotiation.
I found out to be true.
Let people talk first.
Try to get as much out of them as you possibly can.
And then you can kind of figure it out.
Like with Gotti, a couple of times I had to sit down with him,
I knew that he could never believe that I was winning.
So in the midst of the argument, I had to figure out what he really wanted
and how I can get what I want, letting him think that he got what he want.
It's all about how you carry yourself.
In the water arsenal, we have different tools.
We have physical tools like talent, mobility, strength, coordination, techniques, leverage.
angles, timing.
But if you're talking about mind, we have different tools,
visualization, emotional control.
In the spiritual side, we have hope, we have faith, we have patience.
Those elements, they give you a chance of letting the situation cook in a slow burn and see how goes.
Because if you unpatient, if you don't have the hope,
if you don't if you not believe in yourself but if you fail you're gonna find the light
you're gonna find the hole you're gonna you have the hope you think's gonna do well so you become
smoother even in the bumpy rise so i start to feel like my growth was depending of this
growth not only physical not only mental but also spiritual i think one of the things that people
like struggle with is actually being very real with themselves the difference between being you know
the difference between understanding who you are
versus who you wish you were.
And I think that's something that I'm always very fascinated
by when I have a meeting like this.
Like, what kind of read do you have on yourself?
And how, like, you know, I think I would struggle a lot
if I didn't really genuinely know who I was.
And then once you know who you are,
you get more comfortable with what you're up to.
Are you gonna let success sit around and wait for you?
You believe that success,
is your best friend success doesn't care about you if you don't care about success you
know why because success is already made up his mind it is going in a direction
that it needs to go it is hunting for the one that wants it the most but you're
not doing the hunting you're sitting around waiting you become something else
less of yourself because you don't believe that you have the potential and the
capability to be the best of yourself so why you just sit back and you wait for
somebody to pat you on the shoulder and say it's okay
At least you gave it your best.
Your best ain't good enough.
Your best don't work.
You need to go beyond your best.
You need to go beyond the level.
You need to let the world know that you exist.
You need to let the world know that you made different.
You're built different.
You're stronger.
You're more passionate.
You believe in yourself.
When the rest of the world shut you down.
You woke up the next day and you said,
I got this.
I do this.
I breathe this.
I am this.
You can't stop me.
Just in your life, in your life,
be an agent for good.
It's kind of like people say, I support the troops.
I support the troops.
What do you do for the troops?
Do you send them care packages?
No.
Do you walk up to them when you see them in a restaurant,
the airport uniform,
and do you stick your hand out and say thank you for your service?
No, I don't do anything, but I support the troops.
No, that just means you're not against the troops.
And going through life, become a good man.
or woman. Second, be a dangerous man. Now being dangerous is not being a threat. There are two different
things. Often the most dangerous man in the room is the quietest man in the room. You can't be a good
man, a fully good man if you're not a dangerous man. All right? To be good is to do good to people
and sometimes doing good to people
is protecting those people.
It's protecting those people,
protecting those around us, all right?
Third, be educated.
Listen, you want to know how to be a man among men.
You start following and reading
and listening to guys like Jocko Willett,
Jordan Peterson, these guys,
and start learning.
And start learning.
Start reading.
and just the brain is a muscle and like any muscle the more you work it the stronger it becomes
and lastly be wise now wisdom it's a lifetime of study wisdom is and wisdom's not what you know
wisdom is knowing how to apply what you know knowledge is knowing that a tomato is classified as a fruit
Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.
And my personal question to you is why not you?
And those of you in this room, you are great.
You are phenomenal and you're not walking in it.
When you actually understand it, it's actually fundamentally true.
You are capable of doing anything.
You are capable of all of it.
but I can't activate something you that you got to activate that.
Nelson Mandela said there is no passion to be found playing small
and settling for a life that's less than the one you're capable of living.
It's the what if I can pull off a fucking miracle.
What if I can become someone that no one thinks I can be?
Okay, why not me? I've already overcome this.
Why can't I go and start a company?
Why can't I build something that's meaningful?
Because if I looked at it the other way,
I started to take, you know, the count of, okay, well, I can't do this because of where I come from.
I can't do this because of how I look.
I can't do this.
I wouldn't start anything.
Everybody would wake up each day doing subtraction.
I look at my life as a dish.
We have to decide in a place where you are ready to actually shift and execute on why you're here.
All of that is foundationally on your own self-awareness of who you are, being accountable,
And most importantly, finally cutting out the cancer of insecurity out of your body on the things that have always been there by shedding light.
This is what you believe is possible, is your mindset.
It is what you believe you are capable of.
It is what you believe you deserve.
Tell yourself that you deserve to be happy and you deserve to be fulfilled.
You will start to see reasons for it.
Ask yourself, all these amazing adventures.
came from somewhere.
Why not you?
Why can't you be the one that comes up with that next great idea?
Ask the question when you're thinking big.
Why not you?
And answer it.
I'm not just doing this motivational video.
Why not you?
Why shouldn't you win?
No, no.
Forget motivation.
Let's get logical.
Why not you?
Why can't you be somebody that can do something in your business that's never been done before?
Why not you?
Answer it.
If I want to change my life.
It starts with my action.
It starts with me waking up every day having a plan and not just move off emotion.
The greatest fundamental challenge in the world is figure out who are you.
Who am I?
Who am I and what do I want?
Who am I? What do I want was important to me and then live that.
What do I want today?
What I want out of this day?
What do I feel at the core?
Because it's yours.
I found that nothing in life
is worthwhile unless you take risks.
Nothing.
And by the way, why not you?
You know, why not you?
Why can't it be you?
You know, what about you is less than,
that you are telling yourself is less than?
Why not you?
Every one of us is so unique and so special, why not you?
You are unique and you have gifts to give.
What keeps you from giving them?
Fear.
And what we are capable of,
do it is amazing. Just do it. You are able to do so much more. Instead of saying, I can't do this,
I can't do that, I failed at this, I'm incapable of this, you can do this, like it's going to be
okay. Don't let fear hold you back. Things can be scary and you can push through them.
Are you going to have thoughts come to your mind of why you can't get it? You have the ability
in your conscious mind to reject that idea, kick it out of your mind. Thinking of why you can't do
something is never going to do you any good. And keep thinking until you start to think of thoughts
of how you can do it. The way I look at it within myself, why not? Why can't I be the MVP of the
league? Why can I be the best playing the league? I don't see why not. I need you to know that you're
enough. I need you to know that you're qualified. I need you to know that you're called.
You're armed and you're dangerous. Talking about wisdom, knowledge, power.
authority. I need you to know that all you have is all you need.
Anybody is capable of achieving anything. I actually believe that because I think
human beings are designed to change. You're capable of breaking any pattern. You're capable
of getting control of your health. You're capable of launching a business. You're capable of making
millions of dollars. You're capable of healing your trauma, of finding love, of doing
absolutely anything that you put your mind to.
As long as you are willing to do the work for it and as long as you give up your timeline.
Because I do believe that people who put in the work get rewarded.
But you just might not get rewarded when you think you're going to be.
And it might not be the reward that you thought you were going to get.
But you have something unique within sight of you.
You have more to offer, not only yourself, but the rest of the world.
Know that you matter.
Know that your purpose matters.
Let me be the first to tell you, there is none like you in all of the earth.
And I'm just wondering if you are bold enough and courageous enough to believe what I'm saying.
You are enough.
So why not you?
You can do anything.
And I think one of the most powerful things that you can cultivate.
with yourself is being able every single day to have a level of trust in your life, in the
magic of things, in yourself, to know that this moment right now is also a dot on the map of your
life. And five, ten, twenty years from now, you will look back on this moment and you will
know exactly why this happened. And why it happened is it was preparing you for something.
It was giving you a skill or an experience or some wisdom or a relationship that you're going to need for something extraordinary that's coming.
And when you believe that, it gives you the strength to face absolutely anything.
What are you going to do with what you have?
I'm not talking about how much you have.
Some of you are business majors.
Some of you are theologians, nurses, sociologists.
Some of you have money.
Some of you have patience.
Some of you have kindness.
Some of you have love.
Some of you have the gift of long suffering.
Whatever it is, whatever your gift is,
what are you going to do with what you have?
They say the true hell is when the person that you are meets the person you could have been.
My biggest fear in life is if there is a final resting place in this world
and there's a final judgment.
And you talk to something much bigger than you.
I don't want to sit down and have a conversation with someone
with something that says you're in heaven,
this is what you should have been on earth.
And are you really in heaven now?
Are you in hell?
Thinking about how much I left on the table for fear.
Imagine you're on your deathbed
and standing around your deathbed
are the ghosts representing your unfulfilled potential.
The ghost of the ideas you never acted on.
The ghost of the talents you didn't use.
And they're standing around your bed
angry, disappointed, and upset. They say we came to you because you could have brought us to life,
they say. And now we have to go to the grave together. So I ask you today, how many ghosts are going to be
around your bed when your time comes? Why not see how much you can do, how far you can go? Why not you?
