When you wake up early, it's just you.
The world can wait, right?
Emails can wait.
Text messages can wait.
The boardroom can wait.
The playing field can wait.
The court can wait.
Everything can wait.
And I can get dialed in.
with what I've been called to do.
I can get dialed in with why I'm here.
What is my purpose without any outside influences or stimuli?
I don't need coffee right now.
I don't need alcohol.
I don't need an outside stimuli to get my day jump started.
I just need to get up and get dialed in.
We want to be successful, but we don't want to get dialed in on a morning routine.
unbelievable to me how much we want success but we don't want structure put away the
devices put away the distractions put away the outside stimuli and the influences
and all of the voices and get dialed in if you're listening to me let this be a
moment of transformation and motivation but let this moment not just move you but
change you to take action why am I here what have I been placed on this earth to
do. All of a sudden when I wake up in the world asleep, I get a different perspective. I can get my
agenda, my targets, and my aims crystallized in my head. And whatever becomes clear in my head,
yo, I can hold in my head, period. All of us has this power within us, this force of nature
that we have not tapped into. There's another level. Life is lived on levels. And these levels are
unlocked by taking action.
My question to you is, will you take action and do something out of your paradigm?
If you're going to obliterate programs and patterns, then you've got to do something different.
Shake it up, wake up early, man.
Get up.
It's time for an identity shift.
It's time for elevation in your relationships and in your health and in your mindset and in your approaches and in your strategies.
It's time to get into this space of innovation.
It's your time. It's your turn. The weight is over. Get up and give back to yourself.
If you're listening to me, get up, get up, get up, get up. It's time to go.
Most people don't feel like waking up at 3 o'clock in the morning.
Do it because you don't feel like doing it. You need to be the person that does it, even if they don't feel it.
But they do it because they're called to. Everybody wants to unleash greatness within them.
And everybody wants to be their best selves.
You're going to have to do stuff you don't feel like doing in order to get there.
And so if we want to step into this transformative experience,
then I need to have a competitive advantage over the competition.
Where you say, man, I'm in competition with nobody, just me.
And I get that.
And I've said that.
But the truth of the matter is, is if you don't do something the other man is not doing,
then you're going to get knocked off.
You want longevity, if you want sustainability, if you want to scale, if you want peak performance, if you're going to do something in your bloodline, if you're going to pass something down generationally, if you're going to be a light, if you're going to do something that's never been done, then sometimes you're going to have to get up when you don't feel like it.
If we're going to unleash this untapped potential, then I have to do something that's going to break the current paradigms that I've been living under.
I gotta do something that's called obliterate the status quo.
What you're going to discover about waking up at a certain time,
specifically at a time you don't feel like it,
that after a while, you will love it.
Once you get that itch, once you smell that potential,
all of a sudden the world opens up to you,
and 3 a.m., 4 a.m., is no longer a burden.
It's just what you do.
And you don't even need an alarm clock to go off because your passion awakens you.
Your passion.
You can go three, four hours of sleep and you're ready to go again.
Because something inside of you is saying, I got to achieve something.
You got work to do.
So make that decision that there's no turning back.
And so we want to become unstoppable.
And we want to be resilient.
But we don't want to do what's impossible for most people.
For most people, 3 a.m. is just like, it's impossible in their mind.
They don't even think about it. It's something that's just not going to do.
They're going to get up at 7, 8, 9, 10.
And so you've got to do what's impossible for most people
in order to be that unstoppable force of nature.
And I am an advocate for rest. Don't get me wrong.
Like, we got to get rest. We need to sleep.
I understand that, but there are seasons and timetables.
and there are rooms I've got to walk into and there are hands that I have to shake and
there are contracts that I have to sign and there are deals that I have to close that are going
to require me to lose sleep sometimes.
And so if I believe in the power of the future, then I got to be willing to get up.
Do something you've never done.
Start your day at a time where it is a sacrifice until it becomes a sacrifice.
it becomes an obsession.
I get up early when the competition is sleeping.
I get a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
I get peace and quiet and some solitude where I can focus on me.
I can condition myself.
I can prepare myself.
I can accomplish more by getting up earlier.
When people are sleeping and I am working by the time they wake up, bam, I'm already done.
I'm done.
I'm in flow state.
I can break out of the monotony.
I can break out of the mundane.
I can snap out of autopilot
and step into that powerful driving force
that is within me to help me
unleash my untapped potential, period.
Waking up early gets me in touch with myself.
It gets me in tune.
It gets me in motion.
It gets me in flow where I can perform my best.
And I can get hyper-focused on what matters most
and I can eliminate distractions, and everything that was hindering me all of a sudden,
wham, I hit a state of elevation, everything that was toxic, everything that was not for me,
everything that was not life-giving, I can get very clear on the future.
It is time for transformation.
It is time to unlock resilience and ignite energy and vitality.
It's going to increase productivity.
It's going to shift your identity.
and it's going to unlock the dimension of unstoppable momentum.
If you want this, then try it for one week.
Your mind has to seek discomfort.
It has to seek these difficult tasks.
You have to enjoy it.
And you have to figure out a way to make your mind enjoy those things.
Some people it comes easy and some people a dozen.
Some people it takes a long time.
I always tell people the best thing you could ever do is force yourself to a schedule.
Just write it down.
Like today I have to do an hour.
on the treadmill. I have to do an hour, no matter what, even if you've been walking on it,
you're doing an hour in a treadmill. The next time you're doing to do it, just maybe, okay,
you did an hour and this is the amount of miles you got in, next time you're gonna, you
know, add three miles, put an extra three miles in that one hour and just keep doing
things like that right down. Today I'm gonna do a hundred push-ups and I'm gonna do a hundred
sit-ups and I'm gonna do a hundred chin-ups. That's today. And then force yourself,
force yourself to adhere to a schedule. Make a Monday, Wednesday, Friday
workout schedule. Give yourself some time.
You're armed off, you know.
Like don't even crush yourself to the point where you can't do it.
Make it so that you really appreciate those Tuesdays and Thursdays.
But on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, you're gonna get after it and this is what you're gonna do.
Most people just try to go workout and you're kind of aimless and you show up and you pick up the jump rope and you jump a little rope.
Maybe you hit the heavy bag a little bit, maybe you do some curls.
But you don't really have an aim.
That's why people like to hire trainers because the trainer will tell you what to do.
Well, you can tell yourself what to do.
If you don't have money for a trainer, you don't even have to have an equipment.
You know, with bodyweight squats, sit-ups, chin-ups, push-ups,
you could give yourself a brutal full body-weight workout.
And you can find these for free on YouTube.
There's a ton of them.
There's a ton of these body-weight workouts you can do.
Just force yourself.
Write it down.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
I'm going to do 100 push-ups.
I'm going to do 100 sit-ups.
Even if it takes me off the fucking day, even if I have to do 10 and 10 and 10 and keep going all day,
just that's what you do.
Do 10 pushups, take a break for 20 minutes, do another 10.
But get those 100 in.
I don't believe in half-assing things.
This life is short.
If you get into something, get into it.
And if you're not into it, don't be into it.
And I think that insanity and greatness are next-door neighbors.
And they borrow each other's sugar.
That's what I've always said.
There's something about mastery, like true mastery, that requires you to shut off massive areas in your life.
There's a lot of people that are scared of their ability to do something that's difficult.
I don't know if I could force myself to be disciplined.
I don't know if I could force myself to take that kind of action.
Well, if you do force yourself to take that kind of action, you don't have that question anymore.
That question, I don't know if I can do it.
Well, you're doing it.
So you obviously can do it.
Can you do it tomorrow?
We did it today.
Or can you do it tomorrow?
Just do it.
You get so much more benefit out of a struggle that you choose to embark in
versus a struggle that life throws upon you.
Get out there and go and do something.
Just go.
And then in the middle of doing it, it'll become easy.
Even if it's not easy, even if it's hard, it's easier than not doing it and wishing that you had done it.
It's going to be a dogfight.
You'd be tired of being coined.
the loser, being coined, not enough, being overlooked and undervalued and underpaid,
you got to get tired of that.
When you get tired, that's when you win.
Every single person that wins big, every single person that you look at, every single person
that you're inspired by, every single person that you aspire to be like, they are going to win
or they are going to die trying.
There's somebody who will end of yourself, you've got to get tired.
Something inside of you has to snap.
You gotta get tired of being broke.
It's going to be a dog.
That dog.
And your inner dog has no quit.
I love dealing with a dude who thinks
because he comes for money, he's better to me.
Let's go.
Let's go.
You got money, but do you got that dog?
Yeah, you got money, you got prillard,
but do you got that dog?
Do you got that stamina?
So yeah, you might have something I don't have right now.
But if I work hard, I can have what you have.
You got to smell blood.
Once you get that scent like a hound dog, you get that scent, you see what it's possible, you see what you are capable of in the face of adversity, in the face of challenges, in the face of everybody that says you are not enough, you're not tall enough, you're not big enough, you're not wide enough, you're not fast enough.
It's in that very moment that the dream's got to get bigger than the disappointment.
It's got to get bigger.
Once that dream gets bigger and you get a scent for that dream, you start to smell that dream.
There's nothing on planet Earth that can stop you.
You become armed in dangerous.
dangerous individual on planet Earth.
How do you keep that dog mentality?
Guess what?
A true dog mentality?
I have a dog at home.
I can feed him a fucking all day long.
He never gets full.
It's not enough you made to the NFL.
Be the FNVP.
It's not enough to win a 5K.
Win a 10K.
It's not enough to become a doctor.
Be a better doctor.
It's not enough you lost 50 pounds.
Go on there to do something with it.
Guess what?
It's 109 out here.
But guess what? It's not a dog. Stay hard.
When we talk about a dog mentality, the dog scrambles.
The dog walks. The dog runs after whatever it walks.
When a dog is hungry,
you know out of his life.
Because it's coming for blood.
And the reason why you don't have what you want is because you are not hungry enough.
What is preventing most people from
from moving in the direction that they want to move
is a lack of discipline.
And no one wants to hear that answer.
It's the harshest answer.
This is hard work, it's every day.
When they see that word discipline,
it's actually slap in the face because they know it's true.
You have any fraction of self-discipline,
the ability to not want to do it, but still do it.
That's the most powerful thing in the world.
What are you going to get without discipline?
Are you going to be in good physical shape without discipline?
Are you going to be financially successful without discipline?
Are you going to become more intellectually powerful without discipline?
You're going to see me for who I am because I need to change who I'm not.
Discipline is the root of all good qualities.
If you want to make progress in your life, you've got to have discipline.
Discipline equals freedom.
You want freedom in your life.
You want to achieve what it is you want to achieve.
How do you do that?
You do it through discipline.
You do it through hard work.
You do by knowing what it is you're supposed to do and then actually doing it.
You have to face yourself.
What am I going to do today to change what I see in this mirror?
It starts with yourself, man.
Through hard work, you can outwork anybody.
Like I'm going to be extreme in my discipline.
Somebody asked me that on social media.
How do you master discipline?
I'm like, you don't.
You don't.
You keep working out of it, though.
Every day, yes.
It takes power, it takes effort, it takes discipline to break the old you.
What gives you confidence not being afraid is overcoming the fear.
There's no one in the world that enjoys taking criticism.
It's in the discomfort zone is where my confidence is getting built.
The tougher things you go through, the more confidence you're going to have, the more confidence you have, the better you can get.
But I'm going to work and try and make myself better.
And that's the mentality you have.
A lot of us who are afraid of something, we allow our minds to choose the path at least resistance so we go a different route.
What I did was what I knew how to do, which was work.
You figured out by going inside yourself.
Because being a warrior takes a whole different mindset.
That's what I'm going to do.
Everyone has been an underdog.
Streams all the way back to Little League.
When you were a toddler, people will look past you and believe.
believe that you didn't have what it take.
What do you want to do to prove them wrong?
All you're going to go about that.
See, it's beauty in the underdog because nobody sees you coming.
The struggle of getting people to believe that if they put you in, you won't let them down.
Struggle of making people believe that you have what it take to get the job done.
But remember, they will not see you coming as you rise, as you work every single day, tirelessly.
For what you dream of, it doesn't matter who says you're not good enough.
It doesn't matter if they say you're not qualified enough.
The only thing that matters is that you're willing to work your behind all to change their mind for it.
Brace being the underdog.
Embrace being the individual that they say cannot do it.
This is what life is all about.
When we see the underdog win, it puts belief in us.
The underdog represents all of the people
that's looked at as nothing.
The two champions on Super Bowl Sunday,
They wrote for the hundredth of.
Something about watching the little man, the small people.
The people that they say are not that talented,
watching them succeed.
We had the whole world take our belief out of our head
and stab us in the heart with a dagger
and told us do not believe.
But as they continue to stab,
We continue to fight because they don't know about the nights when we cry, when we bled the pain.
Our sister was the tears.
Underdog is what kept us going underneath the trash, underneath the pain.
And we fought to come out of that.
But watch the next time you say, forget the underdog.
Because that dog has more bite.
then that pit bull
keep fighting
the underdog
is truly the greatest
oh this is the comeback
yeah yeah
this is the year
of the comeback
you don't know the feeling training
every single day
body
you pain
see your brain
be who you are truly meant to be
in our paradise
be our dreams
that forget to open your gift
is that dream
aren't you time
Aren't you tired of living check to check?
It's your million dollar check.
We're going to turn that apartment into a palace.
It's truly the greatest.
No one's good at everything.
I mean, that's just not the way life works.
What you know is very limited.
And what you don't know is limitless.
Those who stay will be champions.
I want to be the best.
I got to beat the best.
Man, if I want to be good, I got to wake up in the morning.
I got to do the extra work, and I got to show up when other guys aren't, and I've got to learn,
I've got to continue to be open to learning.
But I had to take it to a new level that the other guys wouldn't.
Nothing was given to me.
So I'm going to go out there and compete as hard as I can, and I'm going to treat practice like a game,
and I'm going to gain the respect to my teammates every day through my work ethic.
I'm going to work hard in the weight room.
I'm going to work hard in the film room.
I'm going to work hard to be a good student.
Whatever they ask me to do, that's what I'm going to do,
to the best of my ability.
I never once in my life ever said I wanted to be the best of all time.
I'm just a story like everybody else.
I wanted to be the best I could be, period.
And I said, be proud of the man in the glass.
Be proud of that man that wakes up every day and does the best as you do with his priorities.
We're all talented at certain things, but we can really continue to improve
our weaknesses if we're humble enough to identify them and we can build on our strengths.
Focus on what you can control.
Focus on what you're getting, not what anyone else is getting.
Whenever you get an opportunity, you take advantage of it.
You treat it like it's the Super Bowl.
You treat it like it's game day.
Go out there and treat practice like no one else does.
And you have an opportunity every day to surround yourself with people to help you grow.
You know, I always said we play for the name on the front of our jersey.
Patriots or the Bucks or maybe I played for the name on the back of the jersey which was my family and the people that encouraged
I was so blessed to have this discipline over a really long period of time
It was a lot of tough competition
But I was never I would say like a prodigy you know I wasn't like the kid where you see Tiger Woods swinging on the
Johnny Carson show at two or three years old and you know his swing looks as good as it did at three years old as it did
You know as he as he grew older or you know
certain players that had this unbelievable prodigy aspect to themselves.
I saw myself as someone who probably had some other traits that maybe were hard to identify,
but that were really sustainable over time, which was, I would say, work ethic and discipline.
There was this discipline that I had that even as 13, 14, 15 years old,
where all these other boys were, I went to an all-boy school in the Bay Area,
and I remember showing up my first day as freshman year.
I didn't have much, you know, hair under my arms or anything like that.
I was like, and these other kids came in and shave in.
I'm like, what the hell is this?
I didn't know how to put the pads on in my pants when I tried out for freshman football.
I mean, I had never played until that point except in the street.
So these kids came out there.
They had, you know, helmets and shoulder pads that they had worn for four years.
I went on the field and I was like, I'm going to get killed out here.
You know, and my freshman year, I didn't even play.
I was the backup quarterback on a team that went 0 and 8.
I couldn't get on the field and we never won a game anyway.
I mean, it's one thing to be the starting quarterback and to lose.
If they don't even think you're good enough to be a starting quarterback on a team that's own eight,
you must really suck.
So naturally, I was like, oh, cool, I'll continue to, you know, work on my skill.
A lot of it was even going into my second year in high school,
there were workouts in the morning at 6 a.m. before school.
And I was like, okay, I can get up at the same.
6 a.m. And I can go do these rope drills where you'd run through the rope. You see a lot of
people do that. There were these hills that we would run up. And there was probably less than 10
people there, but I was probably one of the three that were there almost every single day to try
to continue to push myself to grow in these maybe physical areas that I was really behind a lot of
other people. And I went in there and I competed really hard in my third year and I lost the starting
job to Brian Greasy. So I go into my fourth year and I was like,
Now it's my time.
I worked hard to compete my first three years.
Going into my fourth year, I got a great opportunity to play.
And they recruited a kid named Drew Henson.
And I was like, the competition is relentless.
At first I was looking at the guys ahead of me.
Now I've got to be looking down at the guys behind me, too.
And going into my fourth year, my teammates named me team captain.
And I won the starting job.
We had a good year.
We finished 10 and 3, you know, beat everyone out.
And then I showed up and Coach Carr says,
well, you're going to compete with Drew Henson to be the starter going into your fifth year.
And I was like, you got to be kidding.
You want me to compete? That's what we're going to do.
I competed really hard again in my fifth year.
Took it to a new level.
Thought about my conditioning, my strength, thought about how I was doing,
my making my decisions off the field.
I was starting to play really good.
And I thought, you know, I'm going to have a chance.
Coach Carr called me and he said, well, Tom, this is what we're doing.
You're going to start.
Drew, you're going to play the second quarter.
And I'm going to decide at halftime who plays the rest of the year.
Coach Carr said, the platoons off.
Tom's playing the rest of the year.
We didn't lose the game the rest of the season.
It was a tough battle for me.
It was a tough go.
It was tough in high school.
It was really tough in college.
So, of course, now I'm going to the NFL draft.
And I'm like, all these pro coaches must have seen how good I was.
Man, I'm going to be a second round pick.
Round one, two, and here we go.
Six round, pick 199.
And I was like, all right, I'm going to make all those other teams pay.
Like I said, I wasn't the prodigy.
I learned about work ethic.
I learned about resilience.
I learned about gaining the trust and the respect of my teammates and coaches to name me captain.
I learned about how to dig deep within myself a long way from home without a ton of support.
I was so motivated to be the best I could be that it wasn't, I wasn't motivated to be the starter.
I wasn't motivated to win the Super Bowl.
I just was motivated to give my best, do the best with the opportunity I got, and to never let my teammates down.
All those experiences that we think are the hardest things in our life end up being the best experience in our life.
Because if you approach it with humility and you look inward, they become the best opportunity.
for growth and learning.
Most people could say, man, I want to exercise for one day.
I want to be more hydrated for one day.
Well, can you do it for a week?
Well, that's more discipline, right?
Can you do it for a month?
That's more discipline.
Can you do it for a year?
That's even more discipline.
How discipline are you to maintain that routine over a period of time?
And I think that will determine your level of success.
Fame didn't motivate me.
I didn't give it about any of it.
I always took less money because I wanted a good team around me.
I didn't care about going to all these different places and doing those things.
I just wanted to be my best.
I wanted to go out there and the team believed in me.
I didn't want to let them down.
If I want to be the best, I got to beat the best.
Who are you on those fucking days when all hells broke loose?
Your body's dup.
You're sore.
You're depressed.
You're miserable.
might be falling behind in life
who are you on those days
when shit's off
stuff
that's the great divide
those people who get up on those days
when everything's dumbed and still crying
separated right there
dreams don't stop people
and then you have the nerve to think
or to ask yourself why you're not successful
and you see it happen every day
on Monday morning
somebody's going to get up and they're going to hand in
their resignation going to a new job.
On Monday morning, somebody going to get up lifting more than you.
On Monday morning, somebody going to get up running faster than you.
On Monday morning, somebody going to get up with their name hired
than the drafting you.
On Monday morning, somebody's going to be getting that scholarship that you could have got.
On Monday morning, somebody's going to get up whistling to take that test while you worry.
Why, there's no difference between them and you.
They're not faster, they're not smarter, they're not stronger, they're not better.
They just don't quit.
You won't out grind me.
I get up at 3 o'clock in the morning and do videos.
I'll do a video at 3 o'clock.
I'll do a video at 2 o'clock.
I'm putting out so much doggone content.
They can't keep up.
They're smarter than me.
They're better than me.
I admit, I got a GED.
I ain't the smartest person in the world.
But I get up and do this for D.D.
Get up.
Are you listening to me?
There are 24 hours in the day.
Get up.
Get up right now from your misery.
Get up right now and start climbing.
Get up right now and recognize who you are.
Get up right now and say enough is enough.
Fight for it.
Take control of your life.
When you get up out of that bed and you start your day,
before you walk out that door,
make peace with yourself.
So what?
You slipped.
So what? You fell down. Get up right now and climb. For every mountain that you climb, it's going to get tougher. So I'm telling you to get up. Focus on conquering today. This is the moment. The moment of truth for you to understand that within you, there are great possibilities. I'm talking to the individual that I'm
understand that grit is work. Let me tell you something about grit. Grit is when you're hurting so
bad. It's when you're hurting so bad, but you know you got a job to do. Grit is something that
pushes you in a total different direction. How do you get through something? You got to keep climbing.
Fall, climb. Slip, climb. You got to climb. You got to climb. You've got to climb. You've
You got to know that you are built for something.
You wasn't built for nothing.
You got to know that if it did not make you, it cannot break you.
Pay attention to your drive.
Pay attention to your purpose.
And just get through the day.
Don't dwell on tomorrow.
Focus on now.
I will make the mistakes.
I will fall.
But I will fall.
will get up. I will struggle, but I will learn. I will be what I was meant to be. And no one
could take that away. For I am who I am. Will you know who you are inside if you're so afraid
of a put down, of a setback, of a rejection, challenges who you are. If you are, if you
don't have the abilities, the abilities to rise up to be able to say, I know who I am,
I know I got this, I know I can be better, I know I can come up.
You may ask, why me?
Why do I have to face so many significant challenges?
Why is it that every day that I go to my job, I'm facing challenges?
Why is it every day I have to come across someone that wants to test me?
Yeah, okay, there's a mountain.
Let's see what I can do.
Oh man, here we go.
Here's another one.
Let's see what I can do.
You can't live this life without climbing to something.
You want to go up.
You got to climb up.
You want to get up to the next level.
You got to climb up.
obstacles, challenges, life.
Oh, and guess what?
I forgot to tell you this.
Oh, guess what, ladies and gentlemen, you got to work for it.
This outcome that you want so bad in your life,
this thing that you're chasing, whatever that may be,
how do you expect to get there?
It ain't going to happen overnight.
It's not going to be handed to you.
You got to keep climbing up that man.
You got to keep going up.
You are going to fall a few times.
You are going to slip up.
Let me tell you something.
Many times in my life, I fell down.
I slipped up.
I didn't know how I was going to get up, but I got up.
I refused to quit on me.
I didn't want to go any further.
But I said, not today.
This is not going to happen to me.
Because I know I've got a job to do.
You can do it.
I know you can do it.
But do you know you can do it?
Do you believe in yourself you can do it?
Can't do it?
Yes, you can.
Be who you need to be.
But don't you dare be an excuse.
Don't quit.
Get up.
Climb.
Today?
is the day. Today, it's about you. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I promise you throughout the rest of your life,
you are going to challenge yourself and you will be challenged. Throughout your life,
you are going to have to face some things that you are not prepared for, but you better stay ready for it.
You better get yourself together right now. You better get yourself together right now. You better
to understand that your life is not going to be easy because you are living it each and every day
and something or someone is coming after you.
Doesn't mean that your life is over.
That means you are being tested.
Don't stop.
Keep going.
Don't stop.
Keep pushing.
Don't stop.
Keep fighting.
Don't stop.
Keep working.
Let this day be a lesson, not an end.
Let this day be the test for the testimony.
Let this day be your faith.
Let this day be your power.
And walk through it, push through it.
And know that you got life to live.
But if you give up, if you say you're less, then you'll never be more.
Say it to yourself, I'm not done yet, I got power, I will rise again and I will push.
Because I know who I am.
I am not here to be coming.
We'll be the victorious one.
I will conquer.
who I am who I am and I must continue to be the best of myself so live it up
conquer this day be productive be powerful and from the bottom of my heart conduct
conduct your business it's gonna be a dog fight I would love to tell you that on
the road to success everything is gonna work out is not it's gonna be a dog fight on a
The road to success, I lost five aunty cancer.
It's a dog fight.
In the midst of my business, I lost aunts.
I had to go to funerals.
We had to get on a plane, we had to drive.
We had aunts that are close to my age who died, who didn't have insurance.
We had to raise money, a dog fight.
I had cousins shot in stores, execution style, shot back in head, back in the head, twice.
It's a dog fight.
Like you don't see that on YouTube, you don't see that on my TGI.
It's a dog fight.
My wife, three years ago, seven legions following the brain.
It's a dog fight.
It hasn't been easy.
It's a dog fight.
It hadn't been, it hasn't been,
it just a paved role and like each he goes its way.
It's been rough.
It's been crooked.
But I've made up in my mind that I think could I go through.
I will not stop in the middle of the process.
I will not be defeated.
I will not be destroyed.
I will take everything that happens in my life,
and I will allow the pain to push me the greatest.
You will not break me.
You will not stop me.
You will not defeat me.
The only way I lose is if I quit,
it's going to be a dog fight.
Don't get started.
Why?
Because you're telling me no better.
I'm turning four years.
Two years you might.
You do not have hate.
Does not have enough energy to destroy.
Not destroying.
It happened to me at 19.
It did happen to me at 20.
It did happen to me at 30.
It happened to me at 40.
After I had been through all the pressure I thought I could go through.
Life said you finished with all.
I said, yeah.
I said let me bring on the heat.
Then when I went through the pressure and the heat, y'all, I thought it was over.
The creator said, now you're ready to get cut?
You say you wanted to be great, son?
You said you wanted to travel the world.
You said you wanted to help people, inspire people.
Armed forces, let's just pick one.
the Navy for instance. The first thing they teach you. Somebody, somebody over here, help me out.
You are in the Navy, right? You're going, they're teaching you war, right? What's the first thing
they teach you? The first thing they teach you, the very first thing they teach you, is how to respond
when you have a jam gun. And number two, how to carry your dead body. They teach you, they don't
teach you how to defend yourself. They don't teach you how to swim. The first thing they teach you
is when your gun is jammed.
The first thing they teach you is a dead body,
how to carry a dead body.
And somebody tell me, why would they start you there?
That's the worst take scenario.
That's what you're not prepared for.
That's what you're not thinking.
You're not thinking when you go off there to defend yourself
that your gun is going to jam.
You're not thinking when you go out there
that your boy going to get killed and you've got to drag.
You're not thinking that.
So listen to me, it's not, it's not hardships that hurt us.
It's not my cousin getting shot twice.
It's not my cousin's been in 50 years in jail.
It's not my eyes down to cancer.
It's not my wife being diagnosed with seven legions on a brain that will break you.
What will break most people that you didn't prepare for that?
So when you put all your little goals and all your little dreams together,
it's not the thing that broke you that broke you.
It was you never even thought about the fact that you could be broken.
It's going to be a dog fight.
And if you solved, this ain't that you want to get out now.
This is where you like, I quit.
But if you're willing to say I'm not going to quit,
guarantee you whatever success you want to have, you're going to have it.
You will not outbrien me.
You won't outbrime me.
You can be smarter than me.
You won't outbrime me.
I get up at 3 o'clock in the morning and do videos.
I do a video at 3 o'clock.
I'll do a video at 2 o'clock.
I'm putting out so much dog on content.
They can't keep up.
They smarter than me.
They're better than me.
I admit, I got a GED.
I ain't the smartest person in the world.
I get up and do this for Didi.
I do this every day for Didi because of what Didi did for me.
I do this for my kids.
My daddy wasn't there.
I do this for my family.
You can't stop me.
The reason why some of you can be stopped is you doing it for yourself.
And guess what happened when you get tired?
When you grinding and when you grinding, grinding, grinding hurts.
Grinding is a sacrifice.
Grinding cost.
When you're grinding and your body tell you you hurt, when you're doing it for you, you
stop. You never, you never prepared. No, you never prepared for worst case to never. And the reason
why E.T is standing here, because I'm prepared for it. If you know anything about me, I still lay on
floors. I still eat chips off the floor. I still do some stuff that to most people is crazy.
Like E.T. Why would you do that? Because I'm always prepared that we may not live in our house one day.
One day something might happen and we might have to go back to that. And if I have to go back to that,
it's not going to break me. The thing we covered the most. The thing we covered the most of the most, you know,
For a diamond to be produced, it must first go through extreme heat.
Extreme heat, extreme pressure.
And what I'm telling you, for a diamond to be produced, it has to go through extreme pressure, extreme heat.
And if that wasn't enough, what makes a diamond a diamond is the cuts.
So I put, you are put through, if you want to be a diamond, you must go through extreme pressure.
If you can't take pressure, then you're not a diamond.
Pressure you thought you could not handle.
And you think it's over.
Then they turn on the heat.
Not trash cans.
What happens when I went to the hospital and they told me my wife had a chronic illness
and she might not be able to walk one day.
People say, ET, asked CJ, it never broke me.
Why?
Because I've been broken so much.
Defeated so much.
I've been disappointed so much in my life.
But I know what it feels like and I can handle it.
You will need to know.
normalize in your mind walking alone.
You got to get up on your own.
You've got to be able to make big decisions on your own.
You're going to lose weight on your own.
There are a myriad of targets you have to hit by yourself.
Oftentimes, there's the people that go away into a very healthy isolation,
to equip themselves, to condition themselves, to educate themselves, to come out in power.
And so you've got to get into this workspace where you can do it by yourself.
It doesn't matter if it's the office.
It doesn't matter if it's the gym.
It doesn't matter if it's the court.
It doesn't matter if it's the field.
It doesn't matter what arena you are stepping into.
You've got to get to that place where you don't need attention.
You don't need recognition.
You don't need the accolades.
You just want to put in the work.
And the next time you surface, the next time you show up, it's game over.
If you throw me to the wolves, I'll return.
You see a wolf.
is willing to leave its pack behind and find a new one.
The time is now and we must adopt the wolf mentality.
Be relentless, resilient, never quit.
Know what it feels like to be fractured and falling into pieces.
But you gotta silence the voices in your head that are telling you,
you need a shortcut, you need a cheekhole.
Eliminate the negative self-sabotaging voices.
Find a mirror and tell yourself, I've got this today.
I got this today.
I'm going to make it.
I'm going to create it.
I'm going to build it.
All I have is all I need.
Resources may come and go.
People may come and go.
But I've got a vision, and I've got the pro-vision,
and I've got the determination and the discipline to hit my aims
and to punch through my target.
Can you do this thing?
Without attention,
can you do this thing?
Without public affirmation,
can you do this thing?
Without people telling you
that you are everything to do?
Without people are brought to you
and say, you're great, you're awesome,
oh, you're amazing.
Can you do this thing alone?
Can you be your own cheerleader for a moment?
Can you be your own hype man for a moment?
Can you tell you I'm good enough?
I got this, that all I have is all I need.
I believe in,
friendships and partnerships and collaboration and counsel and advice.
But there are some things in life you are going to have to do alone.
There are some Marines you're going to have the shore beer and nobody is coming.
Nobody's coming to save you, nobody's going to help you.
Nobody's coming to show you a shortcut.
You've got to figure this out on your own.
For most of us, nobody's going to feed us.
You got to feed yourself.
You want to lose the weight?
You want to reach your target, your aim?
You got to put the work in.
You got to feed yourself the food that is required to power the body that you want.
It's not about trying to be a lone ranger more than it is about taking responsibility
and prioritizing yourself first.
There are some things in life nobody's going to show up.
It's all on you.
I need you to find a mirror right now and tell yourself, it's all on me.
It's all on me.
This one is all on me.
When I go get this degree, ultimately, I got to go get this degree.
When I go get this certification, ultimately, I've got to get this certification.
I've got to finish strong.
I've got to condition myself.
I've got to go get the education.
I've got to get out of bed.
I've got to go to the gym.
I've got to eat clean.
Nobody's going to feed me.
I've got to feed myself.
If you're listening to me right now in the gym on your walk, on your run, you're lifting,
you're building, you're creating, you're imagining something, I just need you to push
and I need you to believe that you don't need the spider, that you don't need the training wheels,
that it is your time, that it is your turn, and you no longer need help, you no longer need assistance
in this area of your life.
Push like you have never pushed before.
Give it everything you have
Because that spotter is not going to be there for you for the rest of your life
If you want to grow one millimeter more
If you want to push just push a little harder
Everybody wants to grow a little bit taller
So we got to push a little bit harder
Life is lived on levels
And I can't bring my spotter with me
The spotter cannot walk with you all of your life
At some point you got this
I got this
Putt!
Look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself, I got this.
I got this.
If I have to do it alone, I will.
Because to fulfill this vision, to fulfill my destiny,
ultimately, I am depending on the God that put the dream in my heart and myself.
With tears in your eyes, with broken hands and a heavy heart.
If nobody is there, and you are in a room,
By yourself, start alone, but get started. Help is coming. But everything rises and falls on you.
Oftentimes, the people that you wanted in your life will reject you, and that rejection is protection.
It is a blessing because it's the same people that rejected you that will need you and that will rely on you.
Come on, how many people have you tried?
tried to help and you were bleeding battered and broken.
How many times have you called for help and the help was toxic?
Come on, how many times have you asked for advice and the advice brought more adversity?
Take responsibility for yourself.
Take control of your life.
I need you to understand your worth and stop playing the blame game because nine times out of
10, the people that hurt you, you brought them into your life.
And so you've got to reflect over the past.
You have to acknowledge the present and you have to cast vision for your future and take
accountability and kill the self-condemination.
Stop tearing yourself down on the inside.
Stop saying one thing, thinking another and acting in a whole other way.
How you think is how you talk and how you talk must be how you behave.
Because your thoughts will determine your behavior and your behavior determines your future.
And so everything's got to line up.
So you need an alignment, an internal alignment.
I can't align you.
You've got to make it a scene to align yourself.
You can hear a speech and make a decision,
but every day you have to make that decision.
That decision has to evolve into discipline.
And discipline turns into mastery.
And mastery builds momentum.
You're not going to always get it right,
but you've got to keep going.
When you start alone,
you possess a power that few can handle.
It's those who work.
We're motivated by those who work, but we never put in the work.
If you're going to conquer your day, conquer your week, nobody is going to outwork you.
From this moment on, I need you to give in everything you have.
