Tomorrow is not promised to you.
Today is what's promised to you.
How are you living your life right now?
When you wake up in the morning, you got to make sure you maximize the experience.
When you wake up in the morning, you got to maximize the opportunity.
As long as you got breath in your body, you've got to pursue your life in such a way to understand that your life matters.
Your life is important.
Your life is critical and we need you on this earth.
You got a gift that we need.
Are you living life like you got it all figured out?
Are you living in life like you arrived?
What are you gonna do about the life you have?
This life that you have been given, this life
that you are temporarily holding on to,
this life that has been just given to you
for only temporary reasons has more meaning
than you can never imagine.
This ain't it, man. This is part of the journey. This is not it. This is just a pit stop. This is not the final destination. This is just a point on the journey, but you got to put your head up high and you got to understand your legacy matters. Your legacy is important. And when you wake up every single morning, you've got to live like your breath is about to leave your body. You got to live like this day is your last day. Every single day you got to maximize everything on the inside of each and every day. That's when you're alive.
So many people out there in this world right now
will try to tell you not to be something that you feel in your heart that you want to be.
Do not let anyone validate your purpose.
Do not let anyone validate your destiny.
You are not done.
You have power right now.
You have strength right now.
Because this world needs your purpose.
And so every day you got to give it up.
Every day you gotta give this world what you got.
Every day you've got to give everything you got to this world
because that defines your legacy.
What are you going to leave behind when your kids reach back in the past and they yell stick?
What are you going to leave for your son?
What are you leaving for your daughter?
Are you going to leave your kid's integrity?
Are you going to live in honor?
Are you going to leave them a good name?
Are you going to leave them a house?
Are you going to leave them some money?
What are you going to leave when they yell stick?
Never give up.
Keep reaching.
And no matter the losses, no matter.
matter the circumstances. You don't give up on your life. You keep living, you keep fighting.
What is your purpose? Why are you here? What are you supposed to do? You know what you're
supposed to do. I need you to do it. Your family needs you to do it. Your next generation
needs you to do it. Everybody die, but not everybody lives. Everybody dies sooner or later.
Don't worry about your death. Worry about your life.
Take charge of your life for as long as it lasts.
There are so many people in this world that don't believe in you.
But while you're sitting around worrying about people believing in you,
why don't you focus on believing in yourself?
Your purpose is easy to you.
Your purpose comes natural for you.
Your purpose brings you energy.
Your purpose brings you life.
Other people are marveled by your talents in your life.
by your talents and your ability.
But you look back at them and you say it's not a big deal
because this is just who I am.
It's not a big deal because this is my gift.
It comes easy to me.
It comes easy for me.
Why?
Because this is my purpose.
Once you discover your purpose,
it's your job to live with passion.
That's when you're passionate.
That's when you're ready to go to that next level.
You determine.
Your legacy is up to you.
Your legacy is in your hands as long as you can breathe, as long as you can hear, as long as you can see.
There's somebody out there right now that is hurting.
There's somebody out there right now that is struggling.
There's somebody out there right now that's got it a little bit tougher than you do.
But you've got the right to celebrate the life.
No matter if it's good or if it's bad.
Nothing is greater than living.
Because if you're living, there's a possibility to change something.
But not just changing, evolve into something greater.
When I think about a person who lives a passion who's living their best life,
I think about a lion who's a king of the jungle.
That lion is living his best life.
That lioness is living her best life.
Why? Because every day they wake up a person who's, every day they work with a person.
Every day they wake up with passion.
Every day they see that gazelle and they pursue.
Everybody dies.
But not everybody lives.
What would it cost you if you quit now?
What would it cost you if you stop fighting?
We all have those moments when we want to quit.
When we want to throw in a towel where we don't see the end game.
And the target is not clear.
I know you think it's over, but you gotta go again.
Leave every excuse behind.
I quit.
You got more left than you.
You are not a quitter.
You are not a one-head wonder.
You are called to do something great.
Try harder.
Reach higher.
Run faster.
Stand taller.
It is the man that,
refuses to quit. It is the man that refuses to put down his gloves that separates winners from
wannabes. It doesn't matter how broken, how weary and devastating you are right now. That pain
will not last forever. I don't want to win one time. I don't want to be noticed one time. I don't
want to make history one time. I want to do it over and over and over again, do it again, no matter
how hard it was, no matter how much you cried and you sweat and you bled, do it again.
Because in the end, it would be worth it.
Someday, at some point in your life, you're going to be able to look back and say, man, I'm so glad I didn't quit.
I need you to wake up in this new day, in this moment, and seize the opportunity.
You are alive for a reason.
Don't let anybody tell you you don't have what it takes.
There is more left in your tank.
It's your time.
It's your term.
You've doubted yourself long enough.
People have left you, overlooked you, undervalued you, underpaid you.
It's your time to connect.
It's your time to get paid.
It's your time to sign the deal.
It's your time.
If you're going to be fully persuaded about anything,
persuade yourself to keep going and the more that you influence you you will
influence the world so keep going because it's all worth it in the end do it again
a friend of mine years ago taught me when i was coming up and i was deciding if i was going to do
this he said uh abnahito kab i think that means if not now then when so whatever you want to do
Now, no, to come.
Do it.
Stop talking about it.
Stop thinking about it.
Stop telling people what you're going to do.
And just freaking do it!
Get up and do it.
Take one step.
Don't look a thousand cars ahead.
Look one.
Take one step.
That's all you need to do.
If I have one legacy,
if I create more bold people in this world,
I will be happy because
we've got too many timid hairs out there.
We need more bold lions.
Start your business, write that book,
just write that book. Do it. Just do it, please. I've tried to eliminate as much time between
I think I should do this thing and beginning doing it. And I think you get this positive
reinforcement cycle. I call it pulling the thread. It's like, I just need to start pulling the thread.
And then all of a sudden, what feels really unknown becomes very tangible. And you're like,
oh, I understand the six problems I have to solve to do this big thing. But now I know the
problems. And then it feels like you can you can wrap your arms around it. And then you can start
taking it one bite at a time.
Let's say that I want to start a business.
In your mind, you're like, well, I don't really have the finances or I don't know if I'm ready.
Let me pick it back up at the top of the year.
I'm going to think about it next year.
January, see where I'm at, we'll reevaluate.
The only thing that changed in that year's time is how you felt about it.
You still have no idea the outcome of that decision once it's made.
you make a decision, you still have to wait to find out the outcome of that decision.
There's no way to predict that, and the only thing that you're delaying is your progress, your growth,
by putting off the decision.
Do it without commentary.
Do it without drama.
Simply show up and do the thing.
Focus on the practice, not hoping in ways.
wishing for the outcome that you need to be reassured by.
But the practice, the best you can do it.
Because what could be better than the best you could do it?
Nothing.
So do that.
Learn from what works and then do it again.
The concept of living life is just so simple.
You could take the words, live your life and expand on that into a million page essay and just do it.
But just getting out there and living and experiencing life and doing the things that are difficult and challenging and cause you to,
grow and the person that I envy the most and I enjoy being around the most is just that like
old wise man who has all these crazy stories who's lived all this life and it's just like
happy to sit on the park bench and talk to random people about what he's done you know it's
if that's a person I respect how do I become that person it's not from doing nothing it's from
doing something what is it today that you've been wanting but to be honest with you you
haven't yet gotten I will almost guarantee you the reason
that your want and desire is far from being fulfilled by achieving it is because you haven't taken
action necessary. So today, don't think about it. Don't talk about it. Don't wish for it.
Go for it. Dive, move, start, act.
What's one thing I'm doing wrong, that I know I'm doing wrong, that I could,
fix that I would fix. It's like you meditate on that, you'll get an answer. And it won't be one you want, but it'll be the necessary one.
A lot of people sit back and they dream about being a sports figure or dream about being a seal or dream about being an astronaut and all it is is a motherfucking dream.
They don't put the work behind the dream. That dream has become their fucking master.
When you become the master of your fucking dream
is when you say, I want to go be a Navy SEAL
and you say, okay, I'm going to lose 106 pounds
in less than three fucking months.
The dream was the one thing I thought about
and the dream was now gone.
Now what comes in, the dream goes away
and the fucking laundry list of fucking details
and tasks come up.
Got to do this, got to this, got to this, got to this, got to do this.
That's when you become the master of your dream.
So a lot of people out there dreaming
When all that fear that's in your head, all the what ifs and the scenarios that you create inside your own mind that are way worse than anything that is actually going to happen, they all disappear when you go.
So just take action and start moving forward.
That is the moment that can last a million years is waiting to go.
I'm pretty good at it now, where, oh, I'm like, oh, yeah, I know what that is, and I'm going.
And then that's it.
Make that decision.
because one thing's for sure with my life, you're one decision away from changing, literally
you are one decision away from changing.
It's a decision away.
You're one decision away from changing your life.
Like, what would I do if I weren't afraid?
And what would I do if I knew I couldn't fail?
And the idea that I will never wish for fewer epic stories at the end of my life.
And I've never regretted failures.
I've always regretted things that I didn't try.
Most skills can be learned decently with about 20 hours of focused effort.
20 hours.
Like the first 20 hours of you actually doing something you learn the most you're going to learn about the thing.
If you just consider by percentage of learning from like you know nothing to 20 hours in,
you already have a really good understanding of the thing.
The problem is that most people will take years to start the first hour.
And so that habit that you're referencing is that my speed, at least now,
I was like, you know, I've gotten better at this stuff, is that like I try and detract the time from when I want to learn something or when I want to start doing something to starting it as soon as I can.
Because I just want to start getting through those 20 hours as fast as I can.
Yes.
And so that's just been a very tangible because it seems like this amorphous thing, but there was a study that was done.
It was like, in the first 20 hours, you can learn almost any scale.
Playing guitar, running an ad.
Like, you will learn more in that first 20 hours than any other time.
So it's like, then just get to that 20 hours and don't delay.
Yes.
And that's been one of the most, one of the deepest lessons I've had because it took me,
four years to learn how to build a website,
and it took me one day to actually learn.
Four years to delay and procrastinate and say,
I'm not a tech guy, I'm not a tech person,
this isn't my kind of thing, I'm a gym guy,
I'm a local business owner, I should pay somebody to do this,
I'm above this kind of thing, like all these stories, right?
And then one day I sat down on a Sunday morning,
and I was like, I'm gonna learn this thing.
You googled it and you took it,
you just learned it?
Step by step by step, and you know what,
I set the whole day aside?
It took me four hours.
The nightmare is to reach our 60s, our 70s, our 80s,
or even our juts,
deathbed and to talk about everything we should have done. I should have done that. I should have
invested in this. I should have made the relationship work. I shouldn't have got a divorce. We sit
around and talk about all of our shoulds. We talk about all the things we wanted to do,
but never got it done. That's the nightmare. That's the nightmare that we all must avoid.
There are things that you have been called to do that you, that you,
have never done and there are things that you have been called to do that no one on earth
has ever done and so if there's anything that I can give you if there's any piece of
advice if there's any information I can pass on to you it would be the question
what do you want let that sink in because I don't think you're asking yourself
this question enough but I want to ask you what
What do you want?
What do you believe you were destined to do?
And then you got to spend every single solitary day for the rest of your life going after that dream.
You just have to start.
If you don't start, you'll never learn.
Start then learn.
Don't learn then start.
Just get started and watch how the journey unfolds.
And I get asked all the time, man, what should I do?
I'm like do anything just start
if you are not planning your future
somebody else is going to be planning your future for you
so if you don't know what your purpose is
sometimes you can just start doing things
that will make you a better person
and those things will give you purpose
life is what happens while we're making other plans
it's a brilliant observation
oh once I've got this done
once I get my degree
then life will begin once I've
I've just got to pass these exams
and get to that thing and buy that house
and then I've just got to pay this off
and then we can start.
What's the story? Are you not happy or
you're only half happy or?
Instead of be happy about.
You're up too old.
Job's not finished.
Job finished?
I don't think so.
I'm not finished yet.
Yes, you are.
Why not?
Get back to fucking work.
It's time to get back to work.
Stop hearing yourself talk.
Cut out all the fucking noise.
Get back to the fucking mental lab.
Because that's what another.
came from. From everything that life threw at you, who could you become? I learned that you get back up.
Just got to be a habit of getting up. You get up and you're going to find some shit that you could do something with.
If you quit now, you're not only cheating on yourself, but you're robbing, robbing every man in this room of what he's worked for.
We're going to be jarred by circumstances. We're going to be messed up. We're going to slip. What matters is that you get back up.
You stick to it. You always come back home to it. It's time to hear back.
Life knocked you in the mouth years ago and you haven't hit back yet.
You hit back with determination.
You hit back with focus.
You hit back when you listen.
You hit back when you obey what is right.
You hit back when you are disciplined.
You hit back with resilience.
Get in the ring and hit back.
Life has hit you too many times.
It's time to get up and hit back.
This is your time.
All right?
Good day.
All right.
You fucking get out there.
He's a lot of shit.
You bring your whole fucking anger.
All this shit.
We've gone through over the fucking years.
You put it in that ring right now.
This is yours.
This is fucking yours.
Sometimes you have to let other people's dreams for your life die for yours to live.
And for me, it was like when I, when I continued to every day not want to wake up,
that was my wake up call where I was like either I continue to live this way and not want to be alive.
Or I just risked the fact that I'll die to everybody else.
And I think that that, like, it was the hardest decision in my entire life.
Now I have a chance to fight for something.
I want a five for something.
I want that.
That's all I want.
This person, this competition is actually bringing out the best in me.
Like, oh, I have more.
I have more to give.
And come to swirley.
What are you gonna do?
How bad do you want it?
There's two options to continue forward, pushing upward.
And if you do, that dream is given birth.
And forever you will live in the reality of it.
If you stop, quit, throw in the tail.
I promise you there's no distance you can travel far enough
or find that dream again.
For it is dead, and in its death, is replaced by regret.
Right now, it's your choice.
