Join the addicts prior to the draft and been loving all the content.
Looking forward to experiencing summer scouting for the first time.
Praise Jesus. Amen.
I'll just give you guys a little bit of a hint to where we're out in the process.
I've watched 30 quarterbacks.
Normally we watch 12.
There are so many names to know in this class.
Genuinely, this class is going to be so much fun to talk about.
Opening bell of the NFL Stock Exchange podcast.
Trevor Sycambe, Connor Rogers, back with you like Red and Andy.
reuniting at the end of Shawshank Redemption, which I can make that reference now because I watched
the movie like three months ago. So I can officially make that reference now. Here with you guys,
reunited once again, for a topic highly requested by the addicts that we make sure we get to
before we dig into summer scouting. And that is drafting against one another. Offensive and
rookie or offensive and defensive rookie of the year candidates. Connor, how you doing, my friend?
it's good to be back partner thank you for holding it down uh it's it is it was time man it was time
i really enjoyed watching the different stuff you guys have been doing on the channel by the way
chef hasn't lost a step not just no judging by that intro my goodness bro he he he might
have gotten his masters like in between when the draft ended in here he might have done an
accelerated master's getting more powerful like eventually he's just the show behind like the
he's called the Wizard of Oz. I mean, he's behind the curtain, just pulling levers.
But the Wizard of Oz was a fraud. People, not to spoil the movie from 100 years ago,
but the Wizard of Oz was an absolute fraud where the chef is not. So that's why I can't use
that reference consistently. It's very true. We're going to have a lot of fun here on the show.
I see the chat is already going crazy. We're already getting a ton of super chats.
Connor, we got a lot of things to catch up with you about them. You know, like over the last
two to three weeks, a lot of things have happened. And the most important thing that has happened in your
life that we've got to get to right off the bat is obviously the New York Knicks winning the NBA
finals for the first time since 1973 baby. How does it feel to call New York a city of champions once
again? It was honestly when I was texting it, I was like it's hard to kind of digest because
for context for everybody, I know there's a lot of people in my shoes as well. I am now a 34,
years old. I was born at the end of 1991. I grew up a Jets, Mets, Rangers, and Knicks fan. That means,
in my existence, which like 34, it's not that young. It's not, okay? Brother, I almost, I almost
pop my Achilles on Friday playing basketball. I understand that it is not that young. We're getting
old, brother. That's right. Any intramural sports or pick up basketball, you were at gigantic risk of
injury at that age where you get to the point where like it just might not happen i just might that
means that in that time the rangers are the only team that won a championship and i was two years old
so i don't remember it at all i don't remember any of it so this was a very weird and the ironic part of
it is my son and for those that missed it cameron rogers he was born on the afternoon of day one of
game one of the finals. So he's been on this planet for less than two weeks and he got to be
alive for one championship, which I was alive for one for 34 years until this one. So I'm hoping
this is a good omen that things are finally turning the corner. But it was really cool. Not that the
young man has any idea what's going on and there it is. But to hold him and, you know, during a lot of
the games and the action and, you know, obviously the celebration as well.
And that's going to continue Thursday with the parade, although I'm not taking him to the parade,
people.
Don't worry.
I don't want child services showing up to my house.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
Just get them, just get him one of the noise canceling, you know, like headphones that people
wear for the babies when they take them to, yeah, when they take him to, I said headphones,
earmuffs, when you take him to hockey games, you know, that's all you got to do.
Make sure he's there to experience it.
Oh, man.
No, we can't risk that one.
But thank you to everybody that watches and listens to this show that reached out.
You guys are awesome.
We are, Kristen and I are just overwhelmed by so many nice replies we got that were so thoughtful,
so many nice gifts that were so thoughtful.
And it's just really amazing.
And I know it's like you don't want to be that person talking about your kids all the time
because, you know, a lot of people have kids and stuff like that.
But it is really cool that people, how they've embraced this.
And man, it's amazing.
It really is.
It was wonderful to see, man.
obviously as one of your friends, it was cool to see just the the showering of love that everybody
had for you and Kristen and Young Cameron.
Alyssa, my wife texted me after you guys posted the picture on Instagram of him.
And Alyssa was like, all of the comments are just people who listen to your show.
Just flooding the comments section.
I keep forgetting this is I have not been on the show.
and what feels like a month.
I think it's been, I've missed two or three episodes, which is wild.
I didn't know if I'd remember how to podcast.
So if I'm rusty out of the gate here, folks, I apologize.
I will get my fastball back.
It might just take a couple warm-up pitches.
That's unbelievable.
So here's what, it's unbelievable.
Kristen loved that, by the way.
The one story I will tell before we do some content that is so relevant to this show,
we're sitting in the hospital, and the delivery room, it was huge.
It was like a palace, and I was comfortable and all that.
and obvious. Then after the birth, then time settles down and everything, you go to the recovery wing.
So, and I know I'm not really enlightening a lot of people listening to this that have been through this.
But the room is much smaller, like significantly small. It's tight. You're there longer. You start to lose your mind.
You want to get home. But I'm sitting there in my little corner in my little like cot thing, makeshift bed is what it is, basically on the floor.
Yeah. And Kristen fires away the post.
and she's like, this is hours later.
She's like, oh my God, she's like, what, like,
what's the Mike Evans thing?
And I haven't slept now in probably three days.
And Chris and my wife, for those that don't know,
she works in sports.
And she's, it's turned off right now because she's on maternity leave,
but she is in a slack for work that constantly updates
everything going on in real time with sports.
I haven't computed that like her slack has turned off.
I'm like, oh my God, what happened to Mike Evans?
And she's like, no, you need to look at the comments.
And the comments are like the Mike Evans of babies.
The Mike Evans of Conradgers.
Yeah.
It was just like, it was absolutely ridiculous, dude.
Just reading all the comments that were 90% of them were bits from the show.
And that made the time in the hospital so much easier.
And I'm laughing at Mo Hall who said, Cameron is a big baby at eight plus pounds.
Yeah.
He was almost nine.
He said, I'm betting $1,000 that Cameron will be taller than Connor.
I would bet a lot of money on that as well.
Fortunately, my wife's side of the family has a lot of height.
My dad is six feet, six one-ish.
So this baby, hopefully about like eighth or ninth grade, he could dunk on me.
That's the goal.
Well, I mean, somebody in the chat already said he's already taller than Trevor,
which settled out.
I mean, come up.
We're having a good time here.
We're talking about, you know, celebratory stuff.
Oh, look who it was.
So, but there were a lot of people in the comments that were saying, like,
hey, camera can almost host the pot.
You know, you were talking like, oh, hopefully by eighth or ninth grade, he's going to dunk.
By eighth or ninth grade, he might be taking my job.
He might be bullying me out of this job because he's going to actually be able to host the pod.
But it was so many laughs.
Dude, it was wonderful to see.
Thank you guys.
As we say so many times here on this show, you guys make all of this so much fun for us.
And it really is, whenever we have these.
moments where you guys have the chance to remind us and everyone who's part of it, how cool
this community is, you do.
And that was one of those moments.
And I just, it was, it was really cool to get to experience that again in real time.
Obviously, so happy for the three of you now.
And obviously everything, obviously, I'm very happy that everything is good.
Babies healthy, mom's healthy.
You're hopefully catching up on a little bit of sleep here.
And we've got you back in the chair.
It's a little better on and off.
I mean, what you learn is the human body.
can adapt where it's like okay you're talking about yours or your your kids i think just both yeah
whatever the environment is you just figure it out whether you're watching 2007 running backs at 5 a m or
whatever it may be you just kind of figure it out but yeah it's uh you know a comment on the instagram
also said like connor's the type of dad that'll make his kid do packers mock drafts when he's grounded
yeah yeah absolutely it's just there was just so many good replies so thank you to everybody
super cool and I'm happy to be back doing what I love.
By the way, we got to get to this one.
I know we hold super chats mainly till the end of the show,
but Tony Lee, a member of the 500 club,
a pillar here of the NFLSC community,
he said, give us a $100 super chat, by the way,
said, welcome back, Connor.
Congratulations to you and your wife on your son,
as well as the Knicks going all the way.
I'm not a Knicks fan, but was rooting for them.
And OG got to meet OG when he was a rookie in Toronto.
Hell yeah.
He's a great guy.
We appreciate you, Tony.
Thank you so much.
man. Appreciate you, brother.
Well, I know that there will be a lot of super chats people, you know, have for Connor.
And we'll get to those at the end of the show, as we always do.
But we got to get to the content.
We got to get to the reason why a lot of people are here.
And that is a, like I said, at the top of the show, a highly requested exercise that we go through, which,
Connor, I don't think we did one last year?
Did we squeeze one last year?
We've done this in the past, the offensive and defensive and defense rookie of the year drafts.
But the chef told me before the show that he actually has some of our.
old results and drafts that he was going to pull up for us.
So we did do one.
We did do one last year.
We did offensive rookie of the year draft that we had here.
I don't remember this at all.
I had the first pick.
I had Ashen Genty.
Then you had the back to back with the snake.
You went Cam Ward Travis Hunter.
Oh, I got Ted, baby.
Nice.
There it is.
It feels like it's rarely the favorite.
Rarely the favorite takes it home.
Yeah, I know, which is.
makes that's what it's going to make this episode so much more fun tyler do you have the past drafts
as well i think you have a oh dude we went deep on this one what this is this was this was this
this was the mega one that i liked how we there was more strategy because it was the offensive
and defensive board together yeah so this one was a draw right because you got jaden yep and it was
Jared Verst won defensive rookie of the year.
So look at that.
The first two, the first two selections there.
Jaden and Jared Verst.
So there you go.
This one went a little more chalky in terms of how we drafted them.
We just wasted everybody's time on that draft for like an extra 90 minutes,
just drafting players that were never going to win the award when we got the two.
Yeah.
Why did we do 20 picks?
We're animals, actually.
And why did we do that?
We weren't live back then.
And I realized how different the show is.
Because when we weren't.
live. It was just you and I talking to each other. And we didn't even have like, you know,
like the chef is very interactive during the show when we're live too. And we interact so much
with the chat. So I feel like back then we did so much more volume of the show, but it's like
unnecessary volume when you look at. Right. Andrew Phillips and Zach Frazier being in this draft.
Like, what are we doing? God, I drafted. Touch grass. Hold on. Oh, wait. Hold on here.
I drafted Evan Williams at number 14. I kind of know.
not to my own whore there, but I kind of,
I kind of know ball with that pick.
That's aged really, really nicely.
Damn, you got Drake May at 12.
Yeah, the schedule.
Whenever you can get the schedule,
you got to have them.
I just picked the wrong year.
You got to get them on the team.
All right.
Tyler, do you have another one,
or were those the only two that we got?
Oh, so we did have.
Wait, is this even further back?
This is even further back.
You won this one because you got Bejohn.
We're unk status.
Yeah, we are unk status.
We've been doing this a long time.
Oh, we did defensive rookie the year as well.
Okay, I got Will Anderson on that one.
Yeah, that was kind of a layout.
So we pretty much just split.
Yeah, we have.
We're pretty even here, which means that this draft this year,
what were the exercise that we're doing here?
It's for all the marbles, baby.
So we're going to do this one in a very different way
than we have done things in the past.
Because here on this show,
I asked you guys a couple of weeks ago,
sort of what you would like to see a lot more of with NFL stock exchange.
And no matter what kind of topic it was, the theme that you guys talked about and loved about
this show was the depth in which sort of we talked about your teams or players, prospects,
whatever it was.
So I kind of wanted to take that into this exercise as well.
So what Connor and I are going to be doing is we're going to be drafting three slots each
for offensive and defensive rookie of the year.
But the stipulation here is we cannot choose.
James
Jeremiah Love and Fernando Mendoza
so the top two
highest odd players
on the offensive
rookie of the year list
and David Bailey
and Rubin Bain
on the defensive side of things.
So we're taking away
the very obvious
because the analysis
that you would hear of us
talk about those guys
Jeremiah Love is going to get
all the volume.
They're basically going to run
the entire offense through him.
Fernando Mendoza,
it all kind of depends
on when he's going to start
but I think he's going to start
pretty early.
David Bailey,
he's going to be put in a position
to be a closer
and a sack man.
for the New York Jets.
And Ruben Bain is as well in Todd Bulls defense.
He's going to be lining up at three technique, at four eye, at five technique,
as a stand-up outside linebacker.
They're going to use him everywhere.
So you're going to hear that analysis basically from every single show.
So we didn't want to necessarily have to waste your time just regurgitating a lot of this stuff.
And so we're taking those players off the board to hopefully give you guys a little bit
more depth of analysis on some other players as we go through both offensive and
defensive rookie of the year.
The catch is,
The way to give a little bit more strategy to what we're doing here today is we can flip-flop from these lists.
Like, sure, we could go our first three picks are offense and our next three picks are defense,
but we could also try to have a little bit of strategy and go between the two in order to fill out all six of our slots.
Last stipulation for us here is that one of our picks, whether it's offensive or defensive,
must be plus 5,000 or greater odds to win the award.
Great interface from the chef here.
Dude, dude, he created this.
He went to, dude, so somebody in the chat said the Wizard of Pod instead of the Wizard of Oz.
That's right.
I don't like it too.
Kind of like it.
Do you want to pick first or you want to pick second?
Oh boy, I knew it would get to this point.
I didn't know how we'd figure it out.
You've had three weeks to prepare for the end.
answer for this question. I do not feel that for you. So actually it is set up to where Trevor,
you have to pick first. Oh, I have to pick first. Yeah. Yeah. Plot Twist. Okay. By the way, I know,
yes, summer scouting has happened. But in terms of preparation besides that, I am just a
diaper changing station on legs. Like, I make no mistake about it. Like, I am just a diaper changing
station on two legs. So I've watched quarterbacks. I've watched
running backs, but
yeah, this
I got to shake the rust off here.
It's important to have hobbies, you know,
and, you know, a couple of side jobs, you know,
it's important to have some hobbies.
Is there the diaper changing, like,
is there a game that includes that?
There has to be.
Is that on like the Ocho?
I don't know, but there has to be a competition.
There's,
there, this is so
dad and competition coded that like,
There has to be some sort of award somewhere of, like, technique, speed, cleanliness, all of that.
Efficiency?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's full NASCAR, like, I mean, listen, the moms, they bring a lot of strengths to the table.
They carry most of the workload and the weight when it comes to this newborn stuff.
Yeah, salute to the moms.
But the diaper changing, don't even talk to me in my own.
don't even
I have a one hand
and support the head in the neck
because you know
it's a baby
very important
very important
but good tip
maximum time
to the changing station
dirty diaper off
clean clean diaper on
onesy back on
back on mom's lap
you need to you need to like
you need 22 seconds
you need to get a
the like chess speed
the speed chess clocks
you know what I'm saying
where people like hit the button
or or you know how like they do like
the cup stacking competition or whatever
and they have the clock next to them, boom, you hit that and then you get to work.
Boom.
And you see you try to make sure it's a competition between yourself every single day.
I want to wear the catapult vest or whatever the NFL players are wearing at practice.
That's like I want a GPS.
I want a GPS on me.
I want my times.
But we're at the senior bowl on the big scoreboard.
They put up the fastest GPS times of the day.
They do.
They do.
I want mine on my living room TV every night when I'm about to go eat dinner.
I'm going to get the catapult vest
Yeah, zebra technology or whatever it is
The senior bowl
Yep, I might get a GoPro
I've never had one, but I think it's time
Oh, man, all right
Unbelievable
Okay, so I'm first
I got to go first
By default, which is great
that we just figured this chef just took matters into his own hands
Told you, he's growing stronger and more powerful by the day
Okay
I'm going to take Carnal take
Okay. I'm going to take Tate first.
And the reason why I'm going to take Carnell Tate first is obviously he's close to where the top of the list is for any of these guys anyways.
But I really do just feel as though him and Cam Ward are going to have an incredible connection.
I mean, when you look at that receiver group, you've got Wandaill Robinson, you've got Shimmeradee.
You've got Gunner Helm with a tight end position.
Elko I O. Manor, who everybody who's listening to this show knows that I'm a big fan of.
And I think that all of those receivers are really nice pieces in the offense, but they were still missing that go-to guy.
And, you know, if you listen to this show during last year's draft cycle, you'll know that, like, I liked Carnell Tate.
I was sort of on the fence about him being a wide receiver one in the NFL.
But him in Tennessee, they're going to use him like a wide receiver one.
Right.
Because specifically for what Cam Ward it needs, he wants to look downfield more.
And I just don't feel like he had that option with the guys that were on the team last year.
And even adding Wondale Robinson, he doesn't really give you that element.
Carnell Tate does.
Nobody was better at converting those deep passes in college football last year than Carnell Tate.
He's got some of the surest hands in certainly the draft in all of college football last year.
But even in the NFL, I think that you'll stack him up over the next couple of years with some of the best of him when it comes to the reliability of him hauling in those passes.
And I definitely think that it's an art to being a deep receipts.
and it goes beyond just being fast.
You have to have great coordination.
You have to have a great read on where the ball is going to be.
And you've got to have really strong hands.
And I think Carnell Tate does all of those things really well.
So even though I was not guaranteed to say like I, I love Carnell Tate as a super high draft pick for every team.
I think for the Titans specifically they're going to use a tonne.
He's going to be that wide receiver one for him.
So from a volume perspective, I'll take Carnell Tate to start this draft.
Yeah.
I mean, when you're looking at this kind of draft, you're thinking talent and opportunity right at the top of
board. It's not always this guy went third overall, right? Because oddly enough, sometimes the opportunity
isn't there out of the gate. It's going to take some time. So with Carnell Tate, he's the definition
of opportunity in this draft. Now, is this going to be a snake situation? Do I get two picks here?
Yes, right? I mean, chef. Okay, okay, okay. Yeah, yeah. Connor gets two picks here. Yes.
So I'm going with the same line of thinking as you hear, Trevor, in terms of taking a wide receiver, and I'm going with Jordan Tyson.
Okay.
Obviously, the history of this award, you know, quarterbacks, yes, because when they're guaranteed to play.
And we don't have Mendoza on the board because he's too much of a favorite.
So that's not an option.
And Mendoza might not start the year out as well.
And then after that, there's not that kind of quarterback that you would take.
You know, you talk about Teteroa McMillan last year.
You think of Garrett Wilson in 2022 and Jamar Chase in 2021.
With Jordan Tyson, yes, Chris Alabe is there.
But one, I think he does profile as a potential number one wide receiver.
So if Alabe is drawing a lot of that attention, it's going to open up opportunity for Jordan Tyson.
Two, I think the quarterback can play specifically behind this offensive line.
This offensive line is starting to gel together.
we saw Tyler Shuck be able to throw the ball at all three levels when he got to play last year.
So I look at Jordan Tyson and just go, man, if he's healthy and he's healthy right now,
Jordan Tyson, I think would have been the first receiver taken in this draft.
And I actually really like the offense he went to considering they were picking in the top 10.
Yeah, I think the only thing to really worry about, in my opinion, with Jordan Tyson is health.
Like, that's it.
But if you tell me that he's going to play all of his rookie season, it's hard to not.
envision him having a lot of success. I mean, him and Chris Olave together is a fantastic one-two
combo. You know that to start the season, there's going to be a lot of defensive attention
towards Chris Olave's side of the field. And I think that's going to allow Jordan Tyson to eat,
especially as Tyler Shuck went on last year, getting more and more confident, feeding the football
to even non-Christolaave targets for them, even after they traded Rashid Shaheed. I'm with you, man.
I think that that St. Situation is a really good landing spot for Jordan Tyson. And if you tell me that
he's going to be out there on the field and play a full season or basically a full season.
Maybe you miss a game or two, whatever.
But I think that he, I think he's got a chance to really make some noise.
So he was very high on my list there as well.
I'm going to spread the wealth here.
I am going to go a defensive player with my second pick.
And I'm going to take Sunny Style.
Sunny Styles.
Come on.
The speed.
All I need to see is one clip of OTAs.
And I'm like, yep.
in all seriousness,
he's playing a position in a scheme, in my opinion,
where he will be able to rack up production.
And that is vital on the defensive side of the ball
because if there's not a clear-cut guy,
the production will influence the voters a lot.
And Sonny Stiles is going to have a lot of tackles.
Maybe he'll get a chance to blitz here and there.
He can make plays in space.
This is a defense that he also will have the narrative behind him
if things go well for the commanders because their defense stunk last year.
And the commanders made a lot of nice moves this offseason
where their defense should be much better.
And if they are, if they do significantly turn things around,
he'll be a part of that narrative because of where he was selected
and the impact he can make on it where he should have some of the,
you know, heat from the voters as well.
So Saudi Stiles, this is talent and opportunity.
I talked about those two things at the top.
He's one of those defensive players that has both.
Yeah.
Yeah, and you better believe I was picking Tony Stiles next.
I do it.
And the reason why is because you also have to think about like what wins the award, right?
Unfortunately, I think that we're trending in the right direction with voters for these awards,
taking non-traditional stats as, I think, weighted value when you're talking about what these players,
especially rookies bring to the table.
But for a lot of these guys, it's tackle sacks and interceptions.
Like those are the three big categories that you look at when it comes to a lot of these awards.
And fortunately for Sunny Stiles, he has the opportunity to fill the stat sheet in all three categories.
Interceptions, maybe not so much because he didn't really do a lot of that when he was at Ohio State.
But specifically, he could have a ton of tackles this upcoming season.
And he could have a lot of backfield production as well with Sacks.
So I agree with you.
I think that he's in a great situation to shine there.
you know, Carson Schuessinger just won this award last year.
Shaq Leonard's won it before.
Luke Keekley has won it.
So it's not like linebacker can't stack up against some of these defensive linemen.
I think that if you get a linebacker who's really all over the field,
you can get recognized and win this award.
So I think that that is a good pick by you there.
All right.
Back to back picks for you now with a lot of guys still in the same odds range left here.
I think that there's one very obvious one that I'm going to pick here.
and then it really starts to open up, in my opinion, to a lot of preference.
The obvious one to me is actually Akeem Mesidor.
Like I think he's the, I think he is the obvious one who's left because Messador, to me,
has the opportunity to get double-digit sacks this season.
Now, do I think that he's going to?
No, I don't know if it's most likely that he reaches double-digit sacks.
But Messador, we talked about this throughout the entire draft process.
He's pro-ready.
Like he is a player who, yeah, it'll take him a little bit of time like it takes every rookie.
But I'm pretty confident in saying that especially when you get to the second half of his rookie season, like he's going to be ready to roll.
He's got the technique.
He's got the teaching.
He's got the size.
They can play him in a lot of different spots.
And this is a defensive line that's got some good talent around him.
So you could look at that in two different ways.
One way you could say, well, you know, there's a lot of guys on that defensive line for the charges that could really be taking stats away from him, sacks away from him.
But on the other side of things, you know, if he's the rookie and people aren't paying too much attention to him, then yeah, maybe he's somebody who, you know, you got Tui Polo to you've got Kalil Mack, like you've got these other guys who are on the defensive line and everybody's paying attention to those guys more in a key messador man like we saw from Miami.
He can make you pay.
And I think that he's a pro ready type of a player.
So I love the way that he plays the game specifically for potentially winning this award because he plays a position that constantly wins this award.
he is somebody who really knows how to get after the quarterback and be closed like we saw this past year at Miami.
And I think that his skill set is very pro ready to be able to do it right away.
So I think Messador is a really good player.
And I think he's in a really good spot to be able to shine this season.
Yeah, you look at what this offense should be able to do with the run game with Mike McDaniel.
You hope that this is a front that's in a lot of positions to close out games.
And when you're in a position to close out games, that's sack opportunity.
Like you said, Trevor.
And that would play into Messador.
hands. I saw in the chat,
Trogdor, the David Bailey
disrespect is crazy. Just a reminder
for everybody, we are taking the
top two favorites on offense
and defense off the board to take here
because if you watch this show long enough,
you're not here for us to draft
Fernando Mendoza and Jeremiah Love,
David Bailey, and Rubin
Bain. It's just too surface level. We want
to go deeper with this draft and give you guys more
deeper analysis. So those guys are not
available for us. Yes, yes. Renna Mendoza,
Jeremiah, I love, David Bailey, Rubin Bain.
We are not picking those players so we can give you a little bit deeper analysis.
And where I will go for my next pick here, I'm trying to think of who you're going to take.
And I think I'm pretty confident I know one of them.
Okay.
And I'm sort of confident I know the second one.
Okay.
Imagine thinking I'm prepared enough that I have both my picks locked in stone here right now.
I know you.
Now, you do know one of them, actually.
You do.
I know you better than you know you.
Right now you might.
But you don't want to take them.
That's the thing.
I can tell.
That's the conundrum you're having right now.
I'll take Guderian Price.
Yeah, there you go.
Sucker.
I wasn't taking them.
Were you not?
No, I was.
I would have been extremely shocked if you were not going to take Guderian Price because
that's your boy.
But I got to take Gigerian Price simply because of the opportunity.
That's it.
Yeah.
You don't have Kenneth Walker anymore.
Zach Charbonny's coming off the major injury.
Like they're just going to lean in in this guy a ton.
And something that you emphasized a ton as somebody who really liked your Judarian Price in last year's draft cycle is it's not like he's got all this wear and tear on him, right?
He's been playing behind Jeremiah.
I love the entire time.
And yeah, they got him involved in the kick return and game.
And so he's gotten some extra snaps there.
But it really wasn't until this past year that he really burst onto the scene with a ton of a ton of carries and a ton of opportunity.
But I think he's going to have fresh legs.
And he's going to be motivated.
And certainly the Seattle Seahawks got to hand the ball off to somebody.
So it's certainly going to be Judarian Price, given how highly they drafted him in the first round this past draft.
So I will get a running back in here, and I will take Judarian Price as my third pick.
Yeah, I definitely would have taken him.
Once again, it goes back to the fact that, well, I believe in the talent.
But even if I had some questions, this is great opportunity in an offense that wants to run the ball.
And he can hit big plays.
And he's somebody that in theory should be able to pile up touchdowns too in this offense.
So it'd be hard in that situation to not take somebody like Jedari in Price.
All right.
One that I'm going to get off the board rather quickly.
I mean, Arvel Reese.
That was the one I was guaranteed that you were going to take.
It was actually the, I probably would have had a hard time if I had one pick passing on price.
Okay.
I thought it was going to be.
Yeah, I mean, with Reese here, it's a little bit of the Sunny Styles argument that,
the Giants run defense was horrible last year.
So if they turn things around,
he's part of the narrative of why.
The Giants as a whole,
you know,
with Harbaugh there and a lot of the talent they have
and the desperation of not being bad anymore
and turning things around,
like Reese can be front and center of that.
I love that he went to a team
that he's going to play a lot of offball linebacker
because you and I, Trevor, both agreed.
That's where it was easy to project him
to the NFL level, believed he could become a good edge over time,
but talking about what he's going to be in September of his rookie year for this exercise.
We're not talking about what he's going to be September four years from now.
Arvel Reese, with his speed, his strength, I like his instincts.
He's going to fly around and make plays as an offball linebacker for a team that really,
really needed to get better there.
So I think Reese is going to have big numbers in this defense and another guy that'll be
right in the thick of things.
I think Reese is obviously incredibly talented.
We talked about him a ton.
during last year's draft cycle.
I just wonder if does he get the opportunity to rack up the stats that he would need
to win this award in a defense that has, you know, Brian Burns, Abdul Carter, Kvon Tibido,
and then him.
Maybe he will.
Maybe he would meet, like you said, if he, if he's a big reason why, you know, Harbaugh
and this, this new defense for the giant starts to be one of the better defenses in the NFL.
Yeah, I think that.
narrative, like you said, could be a locomotive for him to really get a lot of steam
for this award. I just wonder if it's an overcrowded room with a lot of those guys on that
defense. Yeah, it's going to come down to essentially what their plan is for him and what the
defense allows him ultimately to do. So, all right, that's the easy one. Now I think this thing
is kind of very wide open. Very wide open now. It's just completely opened up. It really has.
I'm going to go.
We're going, hold on.
I just, just to say to you, like, we're going at a pretty good pace here.
You want to do three and three and then just real quick give the long shots after that.
Like we'll pick one long shot.
Instead of the long shot being in one of the three and three.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, I'm fine with that.
Okay.
All right, all right.
Because we're going to pretty decent pace here.
So we're each going to take three offensive and three defenses.
And then we'll give our long shot.
We'll do our long shot as a bonus pick.
Yeah, yeah.
I know this, this kind of.
in a way, breaks the mold.
He's great, but it's hard for this position to win this award.
But I think where he's playing, I do think he'll make enough plays.
Oh, no.
I'm going to take Caleb Downs.
Oh, okay.
All right, okay, okay, okay.
This is one of those ones where if it was one of those draft rookie classes that on defense,
the field is kind of even.
nobody, like David Bailey doesn't have 12 sacks or Sunny Stiles and Arbell Reese don't have
eight million tackles and their teams are awesome up front.
And Downs, who I thought was just the best defender today in the draft is exactly what
he's supposed to be for.
I keep repeating this line.
It's a consistent line with the NFC East, ironically.
Dallas's defense kind of stunk last year, where if they turn things around like they think
they're going to and they're another team like the commanders and the giants that have made
these moves. Downs is going to be a big storyline around that. So sometimes, like, don't
overthink things so much. And yes, what this award is, admittedly very difficult for a safety
to win it. But he's just such a fantastic player and a pro ready player today that this deep
in the draft, I'm comfortable taking him. He also has the notoriety, right? I mean, like, he is Caleb
Downs, right? I mean, like, in Dallas. Yeah, in Dallas playing for the Cowboys. And so if he
starts to really be like sort of what you have with our vorees a factor for
Dallas turning things around it ain't like there's going to be a shortage of people talking about
Caleb down so I think that that is going for him as well so is it me now back to back that
was two that was two picks for you right yeah that was my two picks okay so drafted an entire
Ohio state defense you and you know what in this economy why wouldn't you I mean with gas
being what it is you know I think it's it's good to invest in something very stable yeah
I saw, by the way, I saw, I don't remember if this is a TikTok or a tweet or something, but it was like, somebody said, I was talking to this girl today and she said, gas of price doesn't matter to me.
I just put $20 in the tank every time.
And I went, I was, I was like, damn, she kind of got your ass.
Yeah, I mean, it's inside the NBA argument.
Yeah, they had this exact argument on inside the NBA.
Yeah, that was easy for me.
I feel like when I was in like high school driving
and I would put a $20 cash to the register every time.
Damn, look at you.
So you're saving, you're saving 10 cents on the gallon
because you're walking in here.
I don't do that anymore.
I don't do that anymore.
Oh, yeah.
No, as a father, yeah, you got to build credit, of course.
Yeah, yeah.
And I had, you know, like I've told you before,
I was a waiter once upon a time.
Like, I carried around cash.
And it was like, okay, now I'm just a sucker to the credit card of like,
yeah, it's $900 and go up the tank.
Well, I got to get to, I got to, there you go.
That's it.
Just keep putting 20 bucks in.
Hey, just keep putting 20 bucks gets you like three miles down the road.
Yeah, that's it.
Yeah, it ain't much.
It is not much.
There's no doubt.
But mentally, are you happier because you don't have to stress about it?
And is that then worth the gap between what you would pay per gallon of gas?
Yeah, no, it's having a full tank of gas is like some of my favorite comfort food.
it is but
I hate
how
how little of time
the gauge actually stays full
you know what I'm saying
like the second it starts
when it goes down at three quarters
the second I don't even
I'm not even talking about three quarters
oh you you need it like over the dial
the second it gets off of F
you're one of those yeah
yeah I might as well call it quits
yeah oh it drives me nuts when
like we're going somewhere for the holidays
and Kristen's like I gotta get gas
and I'm like you have three quarters of a
No, no, no, I'm not like that.
I'm not like that.
There is no gas to get.
I like living on the edge.
If you keep your gas tank, let's see how far E gets us.
If you keep your gas tank from full to $20 worth of full, then you're just living a happy life.
Because then that's all you're just putting $20 a gas in there.
People are probably screaming at me because they don't even know if I'm serious or not.
And you're never going to know.
That's the beauty of this podcast.
Yeah, you're on their own.
All right, you pick three defensive players.
You can pick.
pick defense anymore so i might as well pick offense here before i go back to defense i'm going to
take washington commander's wide receiver antonio williams as my third offensive selection here
i think that Antonio williams is going to have the opportunity for a but ton of targets
i believe that's part of the i believe that's part of the european metric system uh you know it's a
World Cup. I'm trying to make sure that I get to diversify things here. But he's he's in for
so many targets, man. So many targets. Especially if Jaden's cooking again, like if Jaden's back and he's
healthy and he's good to go. I mean, they got Terry McLaurin and who. Antonio Williams is next.
And you know. The God, Luke McCaffrey. Well, I tell you, yeah, I'll do respect. Sure.
I don't even know if they're trading for Brandon Ayuk. And at this point, even if they trade for
Brandon I, you. What does that mean?
What are they getting?
I have no idea at this point.
Yeah.
In theory, you know.
And so the target's got to go somewhere.
Terry McLaren's going to get doubled for every single week of the season
until they can find some sort of viable past catcher that is not Terry McLaren.
And to me, that's eventually, and I think pretty quickly going to rest on the shoulders
of Antonio Williams.
So I like it.
I think he is in for a head.
heavy amount of volume this year, again, especially if Jaden is playing a full season.
So Antonio Williams there.
I like that a lot.
I didn't know if you were just going to kind of go with the chalk and go with, I think,
the last offensive player under plus 1,000, that's Mackay Lemon.
And I don't even, I don't know if I'm going to do that, honestly.
Well, I was going to say, I'm a little worried about Lemon just playing in an offense with
Jayden or Jalen who hates throwing over the middle.
So in a new offense, which will be interesting.
Right. Is that a positive or a negative?
But I like your thought process.
I think Antonio Williams, although the fun will probably be spoiled by the time we get to fantasy drafts.
I think he is currently underappreciated.
Who?
Wait, who's.
Antonio Williams.
Oh, okay.
Because of what you just said with her.
I'm laughing in the chats like, Nate Borkercher next.
Did you see?
Could be.
What's Borkature's odds, actually?
I'll find them in a sec.
Oh, boy.
It's not good when you have to scroll this far.
Plus 15.
thousand.
Yeah, that's the
the same odds
as Levy on Moss, who I believe
retired. Who retired? Yeah.
So, hey, don't count
them out, though. Don't count
them out. How about
Gladstone saying, let's shock the world?
That's not
what you want to say.
That's not what you want to say
when you make a traffic.
Look, man, I'm not
I'm not being negative about it anymore.
I don't want to do it.
I just don't.
I get it.
I'm sorry.
I even brought it up.
I've been the poster child for negativity over this pick.
And I've tried as much as I possibly can to say, if I'm wrong about it, I'll be the first one to put my hand up.
I just think that even if this player is beneficial for you in the offense, I just feel as though you didn't have to take him at 56 where you took him.
But to your point, when you say, let's shock the world, that doesn't.
I don't think that typically goes well.
Maybe it goes well this time, and he looks like a genius.
But we also talked about that in the draft grades episode, right?
Like, there are two paths here.
One of the paths is that James Gladstone looks like an absolute genius.
And they did a great job identifying somebody who would be a great compliment to the offense that they have.
And to be honest, guys, like, I think the Jaguar's offense is going to cook this year.
I think that could absolutely be a top five.
Awesome team.
Yeah, that could be absolutely a top five offense in the NFL, maybe one of the most dangerous offenses in the NFL if everybody stays healthy.
We will see.
but all that's say, I'm not going to take Nick Borker
has my next selection there.
My defense selection.
You wanted to.
But damn, and I'm close.
I'll go to defense before.
I'll just knock out defense before we get to the long shot
because I actually want to build up the suspense of the long shot
because I wonder just like what our long shot rankings are here.
Okay, so you took Arvel Reese.
I got a keen mess door.
I'm also going to take a safety.
I'm going to take Dylan Thineman.
Yeah, I like that.
I think Thineman's going to start right away.
I think that from what we saw at Purdue and from what we saw at Oregon, he has the ability
to make a lot of tackles on the back end.
He can blitz into a ton of it as is like a pass rushing thing, but he can do that.
But specifically for Chicago, you look at how many takeaways they had last year, how many
interceptions that secondary had.
And we talked about that as a big, you know, emphasis on what we believe that they were going
to do in the draft because they needed to replace a lot of players who were being exchanged
from a defense that, again, was just one of the best in the NFL at getting takeaways.
And I think that they're going to preach to Thetheanem and go get the football, like play in
coverage and go get the football.
And if you as a safety can get four, five, six interceptions as a round, you.
rookie, all of a sudden, the rest is like icing on the cake for what is a resume to give you
a chance to win defensive rookie of the year. So I love the landing spot that he had. Everybody
knows. I think he's a hell of a football player. He was in my top 10 of prospects in last
year's draft. So I'm going to continue to believe in my guy and I'm going to take Dylan
the team in here. Yeah, ball skills, right? I mean, you're talking about production and why this is
a hard award for defensive backs to win. He has one of the elements that can overcome that problem.
the fact we've seen him before take away the football.
So, you know, I don't blame me for that one at all.
I have the bear safety duo.
I cannot wait to watch this season.
So you got back to back picture.
And I have to take offense.
Or you could take your long shot if you want to try to snite me on the long shot.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So the first offensive pick I'm going to make is going to be Denzel Boston.
Okay.
All right.
who is plus 3,500, I believe.
Yeah, there it is.
I mean, listen, this Brown's offense with Todd Munkin is just begging somebody to come take a hold of the number one wide receiver spot.
And Concepcion, understandably, he's going to get a lot of the manufactured touches.
But Boston is a guy that, you know, if somebody is getting looks in the red zone through the air besides Fannan, to me, it has to be Denzel Boston.
It just has to.
So I thought he was somebody that was a little underappreciated
throughout some of the draft process.
And I think the Browns have the right plan for him.
And I know he's stood out already in OTAs,
which is a really, really good sign.
For my next pick.
I was just going to say about Boston.
He has the skill set that only Sedric Tillman also has on that, on that,
in that wide receiver room.
That's right.
And if someone's been hurt a lot.
Right.
So if they're going to lean into Boston fully,
like the targets that he is going to get are pretty much just Denzel Boston
in target.
So I was close to picking one of him in Concepcion.
So you weren't too far off with where I was going to pick these guys as well.
I am going to take my long shot.
Okay.
Because in theory, it doesn't make sense for me to just take an offensive player because
you can't take one anyway.
Strategy, folks.
That's what you learned here on the show.
Although, I mean, what are the odds that I'm taking your top long shot?
I don't know.
Because there are a lot of really, really intriguing ones.
Mm-hmm.
I'm going to take one of your guys, though, in R. Mason Thomas.
Ooh.
I mean, this is hot.
He is plus 6,000.
Wow.
Nice.
Nice.
This is a team in the Chiefs that, one, for him to be effective, they have to get back to their winning ways, of course, that he's getting chances to close out games, right?
But the other aspect is with the Chiefs, they need someone like this, man.
Yeah.
Yes. That's why we praise the pick.
They desperately, and they know this, they've talked about it in their press conferences,
specifically about him.
We know what Carl Lofdis is.
And Chris Jones, maybe not Prime Chris Jones, but still a good NFL player.
They signed Kairas Tonga, who had a really good year for New England.
But then you look at that, it's like, okay, Felix's on D.K. Uzama hasn't done anything for them.
Ashton Jalati is there.
I mean, across from Carlopta,
if it's third and eight in the fourth quarter,
R Mason Thomas has to be on the field.
He has to be on the field.
Yeah.
Where if you're looking for a guy that can miraculously find his way into an eight-sacques season,
and you're like, wait, how did that happen for a non-first round pick?
Armeson Thomas was on a short list for me.
And I see Nickman C-31 saying, what were Jamad McCoy's odds?
I looked up McCoy before doing this because he's way down the board.
He might be like plus 7,500.
There it is.
He is plus 7,500.
I don't, I haven't seen from the media that he's doing anything at OTAs.
So I just couldn't.
Yeah.
Couldn't get myself there yet.
He, when you do this exercise, he seems like the ultimate long shot, no brainer.
The three guys I wrote down going into this for transparency were R. Mason Thomas, Caleb Banks, who is right there at plus 6,000, because I love Banks and Flores's system.
But another guy has been hurt now twice in the last calendar.
year. And then Jermon McCoy, who we just, you know, I understand they probably need to ramp him up a
little bit and we'll see. And McCoy is a first round talent. I believe in that. I just, I don't know.
I want somebody that comes into this hopefully healthy and ready to go. And R. Mason Thomas can get
the ultimate stat that can win defensive rookie of the year. And that stat is sacks.
I'm with you. I'm with you. He's got the opportunity to rack up the most important stat. I think,
I think the only
the only harsh argument against that would be like,
is he enough of a full-time player for people to not be like,
ah, well, he's, you know, he only plays like half the game or whatever.
But we've, but a big reason why you and I liked Armason Thomas in the draft is
because he's not that type of player.
Like, he will defend the run with a lot of high effort.
So I think there's a world where he does play a lot of snaps for them this year.
So I like it.
The chef, Texas behind the scenes.
just so everybody knows on the show,
the interface that we're using here
is only for three offensive picks
and three defensive picks.
So Connor is picking R. Mason Thomas,
but you're just not going to see it on the screen
and then I'll get to who my long shot pick is after this.
So then,
do you have one more offensive pick then?
I made two picks in a row.
You pick Boston and then the long shot.
Okay, so then I will pick my last defensive player
and then...
Your long shot.
Long shot.
Ooh, who do I want the last defense player to be?
Tricky.
I'm going to take Jacob Rodriguez.
I had a feeling, opportunity and stats.
And it's just the play style, man.
I mean, he's going to, a reason why you and I really liked Jacob Rodriguez and the landing spot for him with the Dolphins is he's playing next Jordan Brooks.
And Jordan Brooks is a tackling machine.
I mean, he is, he's an absolute beast.
And when you have somebody like that who then allows Jacob Rodriguez,
depending on how much he's going to be in the lineup and how many snaps he's going to play,
you give him the opportunity to play in space is like that will linebacker and sort of be a read and react type of a player.
We saw what happened when Texas Tech put him in that position this past season.
I mean, he was a He was a Heisman candidate.
He was unbelievable.
The force fumbles, the interceptions, the tackles, everything.
And so just like Carson Swessinger this past year, I think that if Rodriguez gets the playing time,
I think there's a chance he could really, really shine.
So Rodriguez there, the ability to, a little bit like we talked about with Sunny Stiles,
although Sunny Stiles, of course, has a much easier path to being able to do this.
You can stuff the stack sheet in every major category that you want in sacks,
tackles, and interceptions.
And you can throw forced fumbles into that as well when you get those really good linebackers.
So I'll take Jacob Rodriguez there as my last defensive player.
And not to be too harsh, but in theory,
and the NFL season always surprises us,
but with the rebuild they're going through,
right now,
when you look at Rodriguez,
I mean, is it a situation that in a lot of their games,
at least in the fourth quarter,
but maybe in the second half,
teams are just trying to run the ball
to close out the game against Miami.
And how much opportunities that give him
to just rack up more tackles?
I know it's a not fun,
talking point as football fans, but the reality is if Miami in 60% of their games are losing by
two touchdowns at some point in the second half, teams are just going to run the ball.
Yep.
And that's just it, you need to find a way to angle, okay, who can get stats?
And I know that's not always the most complex or, you know, intelligent football conversation,
but for awards, that kind of stuff matters a lot.
Yeah, I think so too.
All right.
My last pick is my long shot here, and I'm really between two options.
Are they both on the same side of the ball?
No, and one of them is an absolute villain arc pick.
Just a, just a complete villain arc type of a selection here.
Okay.
And I don't know, I don't know whether or not I want to go for me or not.
I don't know what to do with that information.
I mean, I'll say the one guy that I like.
on offense that I was curious if you had your eye on was Jeremy Bernard,
but they do have two receivers ahead of him that are just going to get so many targets.
It's just the fact I thought Rogers will throw it short so much that he'll factor in.
It's not him, but I am glad that you shouted him out there.
I'm not going to go full villain, but I will talk.
And I'll tell you why I'm not going to go full villain, because me winning,
Because me picking that player and winning it would mean that a player is getting hurt.
So I'm not about to manifest that.
The villain pick would have been Ty Simpson.
Of course.
Because, right, you're, but then at that point, you're betting on Matthew Stafford's back, not holding up.
And that's now what this podcast is about.
We're not here to do that.
I'm not going to manifest that.
Yeah, but you're trying to win.
So I'm not going to be like, yeah.
You know what?
You're right.
You're right.
You're right.
Screw positivity.
I'm going to admit.
No, I'm not picking.
I'm not picking Ty Simpson.
I am going to pick.
Were you going to say you're going to manifest an injury?
That was a grim bath.
That's why I didn't say it.
Slow down.
I was just joking.
I didn't say it.
I'm going to physically injure him myself.
I'm going to show up the Rams camp with a crowbar.
Oh, my God.
You're never going to be allowed to cover anything Rams related.
Dude, I was just going to help him change a tire.
What are you talking about?
Kayla Banks is my pick here.
Kayla Banks is my actual pick that I'm making here.
You'll be clear, I want Matthew Stafford to play a completely healthy
season, just so everybody's very clear. I also want Caleb Banks to play a fully healthy season,
because if he does, I think it's going to be a lot of fun. We saw the flashes of what he was able to do
this, well, not this past season, but the year before when he was at Florida. And he looked like a
first round caliber type of player. And that's why before the season in summer scouting, we talked
about him very highly as getting that first round projection, you know, him and Peter Woods were
talked about in the top 15, potentially even in the top 10. And I mean, the flashes that we saw even when
he was on the field this past year of Florida, what we saw from him at the Senior Bowl, we saw
all from him in the combine.
Like, this is somebody who can be a game wrecker on the defensive line.
He has the ability to be a game changer,
especially with the all-important statistic of Sacks.
And so if Caleb Banks and that foot, he's good to go,
and they drafted him very highly to think that he is good to go,
I think he's going to have the opportunity to be a game changer here.
So I'll take Caleb Banks my long shot there.
Yeah, it makes a lot of sense.
He's playing under a coach that we all know how thrilled he is to land him
and Banks, like how many times do we have to have the combo of what he actually was
versus what he ended up being in the full circle of it all?
Coming out of Summer Scouting, we're like, this looks like a top 10 kind of player.
To us, top 10 pick.
And then he gets hurt twice.
And you're like, ah, man, he's just so good, though.
And then he still ends up going top 20.
So if you're going to bet on a long shot, bet on talent.
And Caleb Banks has that kind of talent.
All right, my last one.
Loan in the chats is Caleb Banks' foot will be okay.
So that's all I needed to see.
It's all I needed to see.
We're good to go.
Lone wolf?
There is.
Thank you.
Hall of Fame career incoming.
I mean, I'm going to take Mackay Lemon just because I go back to my original argument of opportunity.
This board is pretty thin.
You're looking in the past catchers of Sadiq, Omar Cooper, Concepcion, the backup quarterbacks.
You need an injury.
and we're a positive podcast.
We're not manifesting that.
No crowbar related assault here.
So I'm not going to take Ty Simpson or Carson Beck.
Lemon is the number two receiver for the Eagles that you just have to hope.
Hertz leans into an offense that hopefully is a promising change with a new play caller.
And Lemon is a guy that can make things happen in the short area of the field after the catch.
That's what you have to hope for here.
So I'll bet on the opportunity as I end up having an all wide receiver offensive rookie of the year picks board.
All right.
So to recap here, my three offensive rookie of the year selections, once again, reminding everybody that Jeremiah Love and Fernanda Mendoza were not on the board for us to pick.
I went with Carnell Tate, Judarian Price, Antonio Williams.
Connor went with Jordan Tyson, Denzel Boston, and Mackay Lemon.
And on defense, didn't have the chance to pick David Bailey or Rubin Bain because we eliminated those guys.
from selections.
I went with Akeem Messdor, Dylan Thineman, Jacob Rodriguez.
Connor went with the Ohio State team of Sunny Stiles, Arville Reese, and Caleb Downs.
Let us know who you think that we didn't talk about enough here on this list.
Obviously, we mentioned a guy like Ty Simpson as a major long shot.
Connor talked about, you know, Carson Beck as well.
If they get their opportunities to play, obviously playing the quarterback position,
gives you, I think, an inside track to win the award.
given how much attention is given to you, especially if you play well.
Some players that we didn't select that I thought about here, Connor.
Deshaun Stribling, obviously, I think is going to be a major emphasis on that San Francisco 49ers passing game.
Zachariah Branch for the Atlanta Falcons, I think it was a dark horse option that I was really considering there,
given the fact that like, hey, it's Drake London and, you know, I think that Zachariah Branch has the opportunity to really get some,
unique targets that could be some big time plays in that offense.
I'm just not sure he gets the volume he needs.
People in the chat are talking about Cade McPounder.
Love Cade McPounder, obviously, but not really a backfield production type of a guy.
It could be a great emphasis from an X's and O's standpoint of what the Texans want to do,
but win this award, probably not.
Thought about Ted Hurst as well for the Buccaneers, but that offense is so diverse.
It's hard to think of him getting a ton of targets,
even though I do think he's going to be very valuable for the team.
Anybody else that you thought about that we haven't shouted out yet?
Oh, I mean.
Mansour Delane, somebody in the said in the chat, but we didn't talk about Delane,
which, you know, once again, it's not impossible for a corner to win this award.
It's gotten better in that way, whether it's, you know, obviously sauce, I think a Marshaun Latimore.
So, yeah, I mean, it could happen.
I just, I wasn't willing to take the risk with my three picks.
Wiscoe is talking about Deni Dennis Sutton with the Packers,
given the fact that Mike is out for about half the season.
It's, this is a player who has obviously a ton of athletic ability,
and maybe you just want to bet on that.
But he didn't put it all together any of the years that he was really at Penn State.
So it would be really hard for me to think that year one right out of the gate,
he all of a sudden is putting it together at the pro level.
That would be a big leap for him.
And so I could understand from an opportunity standpoint,
like you mentioned with Mike's injury and him still recovering.
But that would be my hesitation there.
Bryce is shouting up, Brennan Thompson as well.
Hey, deep target.
Maybe he just starts absolutely feasting.
And he's just got a ton of yards and a ton of touchdowns on.
Very few targets there.
So maybe.
But there we go.
We would love to hear from you guys as well,
whether it was live here in the show.
or after the fact as well, you can let us know in the comments section that we have of this video.
Stick around. We're going to go through some of the super chats that we're given here throughout the show and the after the episode portion of the show.
And if you miss it, if you're not watching this live, we'll be posting the answer to the super chats basically is like a mailbag for later in the week.
But Connor, anything else before we start to read the super chats after the show.
No, man, I'm excited to get into these.
I know everybody sent us some really nice messages.
So it's good to be.
It's great to be back.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Thanks to everybody who watch the show here in the offseason, making it fun, keeping it going.
We really appreciate you guys.
And, oh, yeah, by the way, it's time.
Summer scouting next Monday, maybe.
The quarterback position.
We've never been more back.
I can't wait to get it.
We're going to quarterbacks first, running backs after that, then wide receivers,
and then we're flipping to the other side to get to edge rushers.
We're going to get to a lot of the premium positions with a lot of the big names,
but we're going to make sure that we try to.
to get through as many positions as possible.
Try to hit all of them before the college football season rolls around.
But make sure you are seated.
4 p.m. next Monday, 2027 class.
It's going to be a wild one.
So make sure that you're there for that.
For the chef, Master Chef, the Wizard of Pod, behind the scenes, making it all happen.
But we're going to get to, we're going to get to all the super chats.
I promise.
I keep clicking them by accident.
I'm trying to read our comments.
I'm wondering.
I'm so rusty.
I'm a disaster.
I'm wondering if Tyler's clicking them to make sure that we don't miss him.
And I was like, no, no, it's not the ship.
It's me.
I'm trying to scroll back to our regular comments.
I'm a disaster.
It's his first time on the show, folks.
I've never podcasted before.
I'm sorry.
For Tyler behind the scenes, making it all happen, especially that
beautiful interface that he created just for this episode.
He's the man.
For Connor Rogers, the father, of course, back here on the show and myself.
Thank you guys so much for watching this episode of the NFL Stock Exchange.
show we will see you for summer scouting next monday
