When I started at Bleacher Report, we had our own company flag tournament.
We had to cancel it in the middle of the championship game because somebody ruptured their Achilles.
It's part of the game.
Right, call the ambulance and put the sub in.
Out of ethics, they can't sit in.
Oh, come on.
I was production assistant, so I couldn't say too much.
But if it, I was me now, I'd be like, get him off the field.
You have a sub?
Mediocrity said, scrape that mother eff for off the field.
We got game to play.
Bryce, with the air raid boy Avey, with my.
face on it.
$100 super chat, Bryce, you're the king.
Congrats on the new gig, Trev.
I think I can speak for the addicts when we say that we are all so happy for you.
Make sure Brett has a decent chair on set.
I actually didn't check out Brett's chair that he was dealing with here in the first show that we recorded.
But I will make sure that I'm on chair duty there for him.
Bryce, thank you so much for $100.
You're the man for that.
And I genuinely for the air raid boy, Avey.
That's really good.
Truly incredible stuff.
Cody, I ate a blueberry protein uncrustable earlier in honor of Connor.
Whoa.
Trevor and Brad.
Blueberry protein uncrustable.
Yeah, that's...
I'm in.
Yeah, you're playing 40 chess over there.
That's incredible.
Also, Trevor and Brad are about to be the Mike Evans and Safeway of NFL Pro.
Brad Spielberger?
He's back?
Brad Coleman.
I'm calling him.
next week.
You have to.
I think Cody meant it, but such a subtle own.
No, I know.
It's always, that's, it's always incredible.
It's like, oh, what's the end of?
Which movie is that?
I think it's Civil War, the Civil War.
Oh, no, spoilers.
No, it's, what?
Wait, are you, are you saying, are you saying no spoilers for the movie Civil War?
Yeah, it came out too recently.
Or for the actual Civil War.
Oh, yeah, don't spoil the Civil War for me either.
I'm still reading about it.
How does it end?
I don't want to know yet.
It's when Stan Lee calls Tony Stark, Tony Stank,
and then that's his nickname basically forever from that point on.
That's what we just did here with this comment in Brad.
Tony Lee, $100 super chat, Tony.
Thank you.
You guys are far too kind to me in this show.
Congratulations, Trevor.
Just because you have a job,
it doesn't mean you can be late for the show.
Well, guess what?
We were late for the show.
Now you might be more late.
the show because you you actually have an excuse coming from your job it's true thank you tony very very
generous uh still lost in between does the new job mean we won't see trevor in the royal rumble
not necessarily you never know that's the beauty of the royal rumble you don't know who's gonna come
out of there i feel like with the w we you know partnering with esPN and then espn buying nfl network
there's there's not many there's not too far of degrees of separation for me being entry number 27
in the Royal Rumble just to get absolutely speared by Edge who comes out after that and the
crowd goes crazy and I'm just the first victim after that.
So that could potentially be something that we're still doing.
Odd estimate, $5 super chat.
Said shout to Connor for looking tragically short next to Sims.
Tragically.
That is so good.
Yeah.
Also said, just shade for this summer scouting.
Can't wait short kings.
I'm hoping that means
a beard
That's what I'm gonna assume the shaving
I'm assuming I'm just gonna
Honey why are you shaving?
Summer scouting's coming on
Some scouting's coming on
So three scouting's at four
Oh man massive fire truck just pulled into my neighborhood
That's not a good side
Oh I thought you were reading a super chat
Oh that's real? No went by my house though
So we're good
Five dollar super chat from Connor
Massive fire truck just pulled into my neighborhood
Gotta go
first I got a shave for the next episode
it's offensive tackles
slippery Pete
I told Connor that I will find you
Trev let's swap a generic NFL trucker hat
for your exclusive NFL SC cap
love you guys so yes I had a
Badlands event this weekend in the city
at Gotham Comedy Club shout out
and it was awesome because a lot of addicts also came
who are also Jets fans
and slip or repeat was like
what is the deal with the hat Trevor wears
and I was like it's it's the OG one
we didn't we didn't probably release that specific one
so it's a collector's item it is a collector's item
so it might take it might take a little bit more
than a generic NFL hat but right now I would personally tell you
that NFL a generic NFL hat is absolutely priceless
so maybe that is a good one for one
trade.
Sully gave us a $2 super chat said, Trevor, industry sources.
There it is.
Yeah, you dang right.
You dang right it is.
Quite literally the industry sources.
Oh, Sully had another one for $5.
You guys may not see this until after the show, but Connor, is seating that far behind
where Olu Foshanu was in the run game that warrants the lower rank?
So obviously, it's a good question.
Taking people back, the big question mark with Olu when he was coming out was, can he be
the run blocker that you need him to be going into the NFL.
But Connor, I know this question was more for you.
It's a really good question.
And I think what Olu did that he didn't have to do because he would have been a top 10
pick anyway was because school was so important to him, he went back to school.
And he got a lot stronger at that Penn State program.
And Olu has gradually become a better run blocker year after year.
And now Seton could do that.
But he's an underclassman.
So we'll see if he opts to play two years at LSU or if he doesn't.
does a one and done.
He's already transformed his body.
He's actually slimmed down.
So it's a really good question comparison.
Olu is bigger, which is very important, too.
Olu has longer arms.
Like, Olu had more of an NFL frame.
He really just needed it now, too.
Like, it's just, yeah, it's jarring.
When you have that kind of frame,
the way you can put on mass in an NFL program is,
it was wild.
Mediocrity Incarnate gave us a $10 super chat to,
congrats on the new gig,
Trev, make sure you do the following.
Let the money change you, switch up on your closest friends and family, and forget where
you came from.
Love it.
That's good advice.
Sound advice, mediocrity incarnate.
Leo Petuzi, first time catching a live stream.
Much love from Austria.
Austria, let's go.
Much love to you, Leo.
Thank you for the super chat.
Let's go.
That's cool.
Hell yeah.
Patrick gave us a $5 super chat.
We'll start bench cut.
In terms of humor, Will Smith.
Will Farrell or whose will?
Whose will?
I mean, whose will is the start?
It has to be.
Yeah, no question.
I don't think Will Smith is one of those people that, like, wants to be funny all the time.
Fresh princes that, of course, some people probably think of.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But after that, he had a very serious acting career.
I mean, he was in.
What was he in?
I am legend.
No, but I'm a happiness.
No, I'm talking about comedies.
Is hitches, hitches,
so yeah, yeah, that counts.
But like Will Ferrell, that's all he does.
Yeah, Will Ferrell is the, like,
Mount Rushmore.
This isn't a fair to Will Smith.
Yeah.
Will Smith better actor, but Will Ferrell better with humor.
So he's the bench.
Or is it Will Smith, the offensive lineman, you know?
That's a really good point that we didn't take into account here.
And maybe he, maybe Will Smith, the offensive lineman,
is a greater comedic genius than Will Ferrell.
Tony Lee, thank you again, Tony.
Connor, I was just curious since working with Sims at NBC and Barton Willie at SMY.
What has that helped your ball knowledge when it comes to scouting?
Absolutely.
The thing is quarterback is one of those things that like, and you know this, Trev.
The guys that have played it at the highest level, there's a reason so many of them are on TV.
Yeah.
It is the most unique experience in the world that so few people have experienced.
Yep.
Where Chris, typically, because he's six, five.
I had a big arm, could move.
Like, Chris really was the first person I started working with.
This is back at BR before NBC.
That was so into traits.
And when you see a quarterback that's so good in college,
and you're like, I like this guy, I like this guy,
that doesn't have traits.
And then he fails in the NFL.
The first time it happens, you're like, how did that happen?
He was so good.
Right.
So, like, Chris, I would say the number one thing he taught me
was just how important, not only what traits matter,
but how important they are at the NFL level
because the level of athlete
is just in a totally different sphere
of anything else.
And then, you know, obviously with Bart,
watching every jet game with him,
like the intelligence of a linebacker
seeing things pre-snap is,
he could do the OG Tony Romo thing,
like every play if he wanted to.
We're like, he knows exactly what's going to happen.
And then with Willie, it's the opposite
where he's looking at it from the offensive line
of, you know, what are we asked to do here,
how are we asked to execute here,
this guy did wrong. So yeah, every single professional athlete, like you typically learn a thing from
them. But those three are on a pretty, pretty unique level of people I've worked with in terms of
how much they've helped me. I love it, love it. Jay smooth said uncle there. Great. Love that.
Thank you, Jay Smooth. Love and life in Alaska, start bench cut, Buckees, chick-fil-a, in and out.
So we don't have Buckeys? We don't have Buckeys. Now, I'm a well-traveled man. So it's actually on me that
have not stopped purposely to try Bucky's.
Is Bucky's good?
Yeah, I mean, it is.
I don't really know if it's a comparison with these other two,
because these other two are like fast food chains.
And like, is it Buckees is a gas station?
Buckees is a gas station.
But they have food.
Like they have like good like barbecue sandwiches and like things like that that you can like
pick up that are very good.
I would still say Chick-fil-A is one.
Buckees is too out of respect in and out.
I'm cutting.
I haven't had Buckees and I'm going to do the same exact.
order is you. Yeah, you should. Out of respect. Yeah. I just, the first time I had in and out,
I think people raise the expectations too much. I was well. I was well. Yeah. Mid and out is what
it is. It's a jarring realization, but somebody has to say it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And people go like,
well, you got to, like, you got to, you got to get it like animal style. Okay. Well, then they're just dousing
it in sauce. Yeah. It is. I mean, again, like I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll,
delete it.
Sure.
So it's not like it's inedible,
but I think in and out
it's pretty low on the
fast food list.
Yeah, Chick-fil-like far away
the start there.
Yeah, absolutely clears.
I think this one's for you,
Connor, this next one.
Question for all the parents in the chat.
How old should a child be
for a strict diet of protein shakes
and push-ups asking for history?
For history.
I mean, as soon as they come out of the womb.
Yeah, of course.
Yeah.
Even in the womb somehow.
You can't crawl yet,
but you could do a push-up.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And you're going to wash down that set with a shake.
Jeffrey gave us a $2 super chat.
It's still pissed about Beckton over worse.
I'm not.
Yeah.
I think it worked out just fine.
I think about it every day.
Me too.
Yep.
That was fun.
I'm hoping that Membu and Will Campbell are kind of like viewed the same way to make up for it.
Sure.
even like selfishly.
Ty gave us a $50 super chat.
Ty, thank you.
Thank you, Ty.
Said need one,
Bengals sized,
meaning six foot seven,
345 pounds,
tackle in this class.
That,
yeah,
not the YouTuber,
that entirely,
can you imagine?
Could you imagine?
Me?
Mom,
I don't want to go to the NFL.
Oh, man.
You knew it happened eventually.
I mean, it's like football mix tape was good.
But the NFL?
Yeah, it was.
It was.
Yeah.
You locked up by NFL corners.
But who wouldn't be?
You know, who would?
Anyways.
Need one, Bengal-sized tackle in this class that entirely determines if they draft a tackle.
Also, shout out Joe Cotton from UC, favorite sleeper offensive tackle.
Expect three since the offensive line to get drafted.
Expect you all to talk about.
one of them in the interior offensive line episode.
Okay.
I don't think I know these since the interior offensive line guys.
So.
Well, yeah, we haven't done that group in full yet.
I kind of just moved tackles over to it.
But as a party from Washington would be my answer to this question.
Like, right time.
Oh, whoa, I see what you're saying.
Yeah, he would be the typical Bengals size kind of guy.
And I thought he was one of the better ones that of all them.
Timbo Slice sent us two YouTube gifts that are just six, seven.
Okay.
I don't know.
I still don't know where we cash in these YouTube gifts.
I don't know.
I don't either.
Big scheme.
Give us a $50 super chat as well.
Longtime listener.
First super chatter.
Love Conner's analysis on Seton and totally agree.
Great mover, but doesn't have the technique to use those gifts.
In my opinion, he is far away.
Hobby scouted since COVID.
449 e-vows last year.
Most dog.
Whoa.
Big dog.
Wow.
449 is some serious.
weight that we're throwing up there with those prospect profiles.
That is awesome.
Yeah, that's for real.
Shout out to Big Schmee.
Yeah, Big Schmee.
That's awesome.
Also, thank you for the Super Chat.
We appreciate it.
Obviously, you were a true addict doing that many e-vails.
That is amazing.
We got a couple of gifts.
I'm going to skip the gifts.
Yeah, we got a bunch of other YouTube gifts, and then we only got a couple of
SuperChev.
Bredo said, congrats on the job, Treb.
What are your guys' thoughts on Michigan running back Jordan Marshall drafted him
in a Devy League.
I don't think he was on our episode of summer scouting.
I watched him. Hold on.
You did watch him. Okay.
So he is built like an NFL player, has the track background to him.
He was the Ohio Gatorade player of the year.
He was also Mr. Football in Ohio in 2020.
He has NFL build and ability.
I just thought the way that he approached the game right now is too vanilla.
It's too straightforward.
Not enough wiggle, not enough creativity to make guys miss.
But that could absolutely come because he's only a true junior.
going into this season.
So that's my thoughts on him.
Okay.
Ryan Foley said, just jumping in after work, Jets and Gators fan here.
Wow.
Long Island native Gainesville resident.
What a crossover.
That's a wild New York, Florida mashup.
Thanks for pumping out the great content.
And congrats, Trevor, can't wait for the new show.
I appreciate it.
Thank you.
Thank you, Ryan.
M.K, I feel like, oh, in defensive line of the positions where this question is most
important.
Too long didn't read.
Do you take elite traits?
good skill or elite skills and good traits.
I'll always take elite skills and good traits,
but it probably feels weird saying that in this episode
where I overranked a bunch of guys who have elite traits over the good skills.
But that's why we've talked about this a lot,
summer scouting conversations are always different
than January and February conversations.
If we're talking about what guys are after they declare for the draft,
I would always take elite skill and good.
traits over just elite traits of what could be and good skill. I want the players that can prove
to me that they're good at football. Yeah, there is some kind of line where you get so obsessive
over the traits and you're like, wait, can this guy play? Right. Right. Right. Yeah, it's a tricky one.
And I think it's also an interesting question position by position. I think so too. And you know what?
I said always, I mean, a lot of it is case by case. There's, I would say I lean a lot more towards
nowadays, the guys that I know can play at the NFL level
rather than just the darts at the dartboard type of a thing,
no matter how talented.
How about this Starbench Cup from Audrey?
Okay.
Prime years running backs.
Marshawn Lynch, Stephen Jackson, LaShawn McCoy.
This one's quick for me.
All right.
What is it?
What is the big dog?
Start Stephen Jackson.
Okay.
Bench Marchon Cup McCoy.
Dude, McCoy was so nasty.
You said that's easy?
I think Stephen Jackson is one of the most underrated running backs in the history of the game.
Considering on some of the bad teams he played on and that he churned out a thousand yards and helped in the past game.
But he had one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight seasons in a row of a thousand yards.
And he was good in the past game.
And he's probably one of the most physically impressive players at the position of his era.
Obviously, McCoy has higher peaks.
He had a 1,600-yard season.
I don't know if you could even say that.
What do you mean?
Because he had one, two, three, four, five, six,
six out of eight, one thousand yards seasons from when he was 22 to when he was 30.
Yeah.
I just think if you put Stephen Jackson on in his situation, he'd be the better player.
Once again, like this is, I don't think the same type of running back.
I, this is impossibly hard.
That's the point, yeah.
I like how Marchand's like comfortably at the bench.
Nobody's like thinking about that one.
He's awesome, Marshawn.
I'm telling you, Stephen Jackson, most underrated running back of his generation.
I love Stephen Jackson.
I love Stephen Jackson.
I don't think you do.
No, I know.
I don't think you think that I think that I do.
He's crunching the numbers, folks.
I think I'm.
I so.
Damn. Nice job, Chef.
Steven Spielberg couldn't direct that good.
I think I might go with Sean McCoy, Stephen Jackson,
Marshawn Lynch cut.
Oh, man.
That hurts the soul, doesn't it?
No, I hate doing it.
That sucked.
That's the worst start bench cut we've ever done.
I feel awful.
No, I'm kidding.
Thank you for asking.
Those are the ones that are.
Good question for you here, Trevor.
Ola Gale said,
hey, guys, love from the UK.
Do you guys think Jalen Daniels can be a QB2 in the league?
Yes.
because he's going to be the Bucks Cubee, too.
It's always been about health with him, never tell.
100%.
100%.
It feels like he had the back of like a 60 year old for a year or two.
Remember he had like 100%?
Back injuries.
Injury.
Three years ago, I was like, three, four years ago, I was like, hey, Jalen Daniel and Daniels can play.
Jailen Daly's play.
And then he just hurt his back and he was never healthy.
All right, last one.
Cody, Trevor, you want to come be my officiant for my wedding in 2028?
I mean, I'm not totally saying no.
Where is it?
I got to know some more details than that, but I'm not totally saying no for you, Cody.
Where is it, Cody?
So I guess, yeah, that's actually a great cliffhanger.
Find out more details about Cody's wedding on the next episode of the NFL Stagachie.
He'll do it if you let me be the DJ.
I've never DJed before.
But that's the rules.
And I'm not accepting a playlist.
I'm just showing up on my own iPod.
100%.
100% as you should, as you should.
Ooh, Jaywack had the first one, $5.
Said, here for the Tavion Gadsden propaganda.
We should get glad I could catch another live.
Keep up the great work, guys.
We appreciate you, Jaywack.
And there was indeed Tavion Gadsden propaganda that was involved in this show.
Yeah, I mean, I think he was the guy we were most excited to talk about besides Moten.
Yeah, because nobody's talking about.
Right.
Those are the guys that become summer scouting legends.
Yes.
Vantel said, bold take.
Not the Browns, Jets, cards, dolphins, Titans
will hold the number one pick for 2027,
but the Falcons will.
Awful front seven,
atrocity of a quarterback situation.
Is it bold?
I mean, did you watch Tua the other night?
You look at what their front seven is dealing with as Vantel.
Yeah, I don't think it's...
What's the odds right now?
I mean, Bijan is so good.
They have a decent offensive line in Drake London and Kyle Pitts.
Stefansky should, in theory, help.
But yeah, there are big concerns there.
I don't think it's a wild take.
Obviously, they're not going to be one of the three favorites.
But.
So who has the lowest win loss?
So the Cardinals, the Cardinals have three and a half.
Three and a half for the Cardinals.
What are the Falcons?
I'd say six and a half, but I'd know the books the way after the suspension.
Six and a half injury.
Yeah, probably went down.
I would imagine it opened at seven and a half.
Six and a half.
Is anybody, nobody else is at three and a half, right?
I don't think so.
Not even the jets or the dolphins or the Browns last time.
The dolphins are four and a half.
Right.
And they're the only team at four and a half.
So then it's, uh, jets are five and a half.
Jets are five and a half.
Browns are five and a half.
Raiders five and a half, disrespect.
It's the division.
No, it's disrespect.
It's what it is.
It is disrespect.
It's a fun one, Bontel.
Yeah.
All right.
Jeffrey said lunch break summer scouting his peak.
I agree.
I love that.
Yeah.
We showed Eli's already, right, with his rankings.
Yep.
Thank you, Eli.
Crispy Pounder.
Nice.
Wonder which prospect pounds the most this year.
We'll find out.
Horace Lockett feels like...
I don't know.
I think of Mod Voting Senior probably isn't going to pound the most this year.
but just on lore
yeah
loris locket
enough
all right
again
I need my nose tackles
to be named Horace
that's all I'm saying
let's see
uh
jair said
can you guys do a fix your franchise
on my thole flag football team
we went 0 and 8 this summer
need to fire the coach and the GM
parentheses me
put the team on my back as a receiver,
but maybe a worse,
maybe a worse coach than Todd Bulls.
Okay, that's tough.
ONAIDS,
it's a bad summer.
O&8, O&A's tough.
I need to,
I need to understand more about what got us to O&A.
Like, were you a close O&8?
Yeah, or are you just getting throttled
the second you step on the field.
Yeah, I mean, like, what's team morale like at this point
going into the 2026 season after a winless 2025?
obviously sports like that when you're an adult are meant to be just for fun but i think that's even a line
like you got it you want to go out for celebratory beers after a win once or twice over the summer
i mean maybe you should go for celebratory beers before maybe you need to switch it up when you're
getting celebratory beers you know you didn't have like one friend that you can convince hey man
we're oh and five you're you're a really good athlete can you come help us out so we get a win
Yeah.
It doesn't go down in the record books that we were a winless.
Like we're the Hugh Jackson of flag football teams.
I'll give him his flowers.
We played when I was at PFF and I was living up in Cincinnati,
we played in a flag football, like a community flag football league.
Just a bunch of us from the office and obviously it was just it.
Community League in Cincinnati.
I've never heard about this.
We put Renner at quarterback because because Renner was just by far the best athlete.
Yeah, yeah.
just by far the best athletes.
So if they blitzed him, he could scramble.
That's the key in flag.
Renner's got a decent arm as well.
Austin Gale was,
Austin Gail was like the snapper or the tight end and then also like the middle
linebacker as well.
So he's screaming at everybody, you know, just because he's got,
he's got it.
Austin's got it all worked out in his head about how it should go.
And then he's,
he's Nick Sabin where he's like, if I could clone me,
we'd be, you know, eight and O here.
But I can't.
So now I've got to yell at you to do your.
job more correctly. There's one play
that I remember specifically
that was hilarious.
So we start the game.
There's a team that we had not played
before.
And
Anthony Tresh
and I, this is when Tresh still worked at PFF,
we were playing safety
and we were playing too deep.
They snapped the ball
and this kid takes off.
And he ends up, you know,
I can't even remember who was
playing outside corner for us, but he ends up getting past him.
He starts to get vertical.
And you know how it is in like a community fight football league.
Sure, you can keep running all you want.
But there's no way this guy who's just a random quarterback in a community league in Cincinnati
at 7 p.m. on a Tuesday night is throwing the ball any further than 40 yards.
This kid just keeps sprinting.
And Tresh and I are like, okay.
So we're kind of retreating.
But the kid kind of gets even with us.
their quarterback just absolutely loads up and Cam Newton Anthony Richardson launches this ball.
I'm not kidding.
It must have been 65, 70 yards.
And the receiver gets under it and he scores.
And I can't remember if it was Gail or like whoever it was.
It's just like looking at us.
And he's like, how do you let him get behind you?
And I said to him, I was like, it's 65 yards.
And I didn't think that the scrawny kid who barely was.
warmed up at quarterbacks launching it
65 yards down the field.
Yeah, that's on me.
But that's so ridiculous.
But that's on me.
Yeah.
That's on me.
You took your foot off the gas for a second.
You can't play too deep and get me.
No, you just can't.
That was your job.
No, you can't.
Sam and Steve play on this team?
No.
Okay.
No.
Sam and Steve did not play intermereals with us.
Okay.
Yeah, they were like a, you know.
Dr. Eager did, though.
Dr. Eric did, you know.
Okay.
Before he was revolutionizing things for the Carolina Panthers,
he'd play a little, he played more basketball.
He was more of a hard one guy.
So when we had the PFF basketball teams,
that's a lot of fun.
When you work at a small sports company,
yes,
at the time PFF was.
And when I started at Bleacher Report,
Bleacher Report was that's some of the best days.
We did, we had a,
we played a lot of different sports of Bleacher Report.
It's New York City.
You could find anything,
kickball, whatever, softball, football.
But we had our own company flag tournament,
the first four I worked there.
Yeah.
And we had to cancel it in the middle of the championship game,
which my team was in because somebody ruptured their Achilles.
It's part of the game.
Right?
Call the ambulance and put the sub in.
I was like, I was a production assistant,
so I couldn't say too much.
But if I was me now, I'd be like, get him off the field.
You don't have a sub?
You don't have a sub?
Where are you playing?
Were you playing in New York?
Where are you playing?
Yeah.
You're playing in one of the biggest cities in the world.
Top 20 city in terms of human population.
No, we had enough people.
Pick somebody on the street.
No, we had enough people.
Out of ethics, they canceled it.
Oh, come on.
To be fair, there was concussion in one of the qualifying games.
It started to turn into like, oh boy.
Did it start to turn into like a frat league game?
Because let me tell you, that was one of the most job.
moments when I got to UF the first time.
Same at Albany.
They had the the frat league flag football games and the very first game that I went
to watch.
Kid throws a pass on a dig route.
The other guy just lowers the shoulder and blasts the shit out of him.
And obviously the ref throws a flag and the kid gets kicked out and he can't play anymore.
But he's standing over this kid and screaming at him and they got.
I'm plenty of subs.
The crowd's going on.
Some like,
good Lord, man.
Yeah, we got to get out of this league.
It was just the league for everybody at Albany,
my freshman year.
And I think I've told this briefly on the pod before.
But the actual football team players as a,
like a side job were most of the refs.
So they let a lot go.
And it just turned into padless full contact.
And I remember one of the earlier games.
freshman, one of my buddies who was also
a freshman, but he was big.
We were running down. We did full
kickoffs. No way.
Yes, yes. We did kickoffs.
Was it seven on seven?
Was it? Okay. Yeah, seven on seven
full kickoffs. And somebody went to block him
and he just treated it like
you would a real kickoff and broke the kid's
collarbone. And it's like, and nobody really
cared. Like we stopped, made sure like you got him the
help he needs. But I
I looked around and I'm like, this is war.
Like this is, this is not flank football.
Bleacher report needed that kind of attitude.
Yeah.
So I got to bleach report.
I'm like, all right.
Yeah, I played play football before.
That was wrong.
You're coming off of your powerlifting prime too.
Yeah.
Just total meathead hours.
You were ready to, you were ready to, Mike all shot at Purdue, that whole league.
Oh, man, a full back belly over and over again.
Anyway.
It's unbelievable.
Yep.
I love the PFF lore, though, flag.
That's awesome.
Yeah, it was good times.
I really do miss it.
It's, it is truly one of the, as somebody who grew up playing sports, I'm sure that you agree
with this.
It's one of the things that sucks the most about getting older.
It's just nothing.
It is the inevitable, you don't have as many friends that you see as often as you would
like.
The friends that you do start having families and kids and they're getting two hours
of sleep, you know, they don't have time to go out and play in a flight footballer
a basketball week or something like that's why but uh i feel like you and i at this stage and 90% of
the population at this age just golfs it's the only way to get some of the magic back that is very true
that is very some of the magic it's not the same some of the magic god i got i got i got to i got to
it's got to stop being so what if we try to do it's it's a sufferable summer stinks don't let
anyone ever tell you different um NFL SC outing oh an NFL is he golf outing would that not be like the best
thing ever. So I can't remember I talked about this here on the show, but I was in, it wasn't,
it wasn't a charity tournament. It was more of just like a big get together for South Carolina,
University of South Carolina, which isn't far from where we're at. Like Shane Beamer was putting
on this thing for the media. So again, like it wasn't a charity tournament, but they sort of like
operated as if it was a charity tournament. And it was foursomes that were just playing bestball.
and like that was wait is it best ball or a scramble what's the one where
everybody hits and then you pick the best one and then everybody hits yeah okay so it was
it was a scramble that so much fun it's a blast when when it's you and four people and you're
just motivating each other and being like all right all right okay like you hit it in the
fairway here so now i get the nuclear launch code and just get to absolutely take off you know
I think it's the best format of golf.
Obviously, as you pointed to, like the only time I've gotten to do it is when, like,
we played before my buddy's wedding the day before.
There's a ton of us in town.
We did like a 3v3 scramble.
It's hard to organize, but man, Bachelor Party, it's a great move.
You're right.
It's golf at its absolute best.
Just going back and reading the chat, mediocrity said, scrape that mother F for off the field.
We got a game to play.
Yeah, we never crowned a champion.
I still think about that.
Also, Mr. Coleslaw said, good to hear Trevor miss his work.
Oh, man.
All right, that was good.
All right.
That was good.
I'll get back to some of the chats here.
All right.
M.K. Doza, how does he have 33 total tackles and eight passes?
That was a Mario Washington.
Yeah, and then he said, these are weak side linebacker stats.
It's very odd.
Hey, he's all over the field.
That's why DT2, you know.
Connor won't.
that. No, I won't. The biased media won't. Yeah. You're a defensive tackle. You're not at that
playing corner, Mari Washington. Jesus. Oh, Cody gave us a $50 super chat. Thank you, Cody.
Wow. For a start bench cut. For a start bench cut here. Let's see. Getting, getting engaged during
round seven of the draft and announcing on bootlegs live, only shopping it Safeway for a year,
bullying your viewers on the pod for being broke and womanless.
Yes.
I announced my engagement on bootleg in round seven.
I have a very easy answer for this.
I'm starting bullying your viewers on the pod for being broken.
Of course you are.
You're the one who did it.
I'm not even thinking twice about that.
I'll bench the engagement announcement because I don't think my wife would have loved that,
but it wouldn't have dragged on
like having to shop at Safeway for a year.
Shopping at Safeway for a year
creates a problem every single week.
So that's cut.
Yeah, I think I'm starting getting engaged
during round seven of the draft
for the bootleg live because, well, one,
you're getting engaged in two, you know,
bootleg rules.
So, you know, it's cool to hang out with those guys.
So I think I'm going to go with that.
Two, I'm going to go bullying your viewers on the pod
for being broken womanless.
And then, of course, we're cutting.
only shopping and safe way.
I'm not only starting bullying your viewers on the pod
for being broken womanless.
I'm giving them a max MBA extension.
Of course you are.
Ty gave us another,
Ty gave us a $50 super chat.
My goodness.
You guys are right too nice to us.
You guys are very kind here on this.
Maybe we've got to go live on Tuesdays and noon more often.
Yeah.
No, thank you guys.
We appreciate it.
This may be the only time that I'm glad to be almost as unemployed as Trevor.
And not quite.
You can't go too far.
He can't get as unemployed as me.
Um, only reason I'm free at noon on a Tuesday.
Also, start bench cut.
These forgotten one year stints by NFL legends.
T.O on the, oh, okay, okay, I see what he's saying.
The, these, this is the start bench cut.
Tio on the Bengals.
Tori Holt on the Jaguars.
My gosh.
Kurt Warner on the champions.
I'm not going to lie.
I'm going to, I'm going to be completely honest with you.
Had no idea Tori Holt played for the Jags.
That's the cut.
No, that's got to be the start, right?
Because that's the best one.
No, in terms of like how much they had to give.
Oh, I was just thinking about leaning into the bit of them being washed.
The craziest thing about T.O. is Tio was never not good at football anymore.
Yeah.
Tio was 37 and still good at football.
Honestly, if T.O. wasn't as brash as he was, Tio might have been the first like 43-year-old
wide receiver giving you 550 yards and six touchdowns.
Yeah, he probably could have done it.
He's one of the most impressive physical specimens in the sports history.
He absolutely would have been on that Buck Super Bowl roster because it felt like everybody
was.
Every, everybody who is sort of like past their prime.
He almost had a thousand yards in the Bengals and he was like 37.
So that's the start.
Kurt Warner.
The weird thing about Kurt Warner is very like forgettable Giants year and that's the point
of this exercise, but then played it for Arizona for years after that.
Oh, the Giants were before the?
Yeah, there was like a random stint.
Yeah.
So yeah, Tori Holt, though, as you said, Trevor, that's definitely the forgettable one.
Yeah, I truly forgot that that was even a thing.
Thank you, Ty, the $50 super chat.
Devin Young, thank you for the $20 super chat.
Finally made a lot, been an addict for years, appreciate what you guys do.
Hot take, Smith, Coleman, Stuart Simmons, and Moore all easily go two in last year's draft.
So Jeremiah Smith, Cam Coleman.
Colin Simmons, Dylan Stewart, and Leonard Moore all go two in the track.
There's definitely a real combo there, Devin.
I don't think that's as hot a take as you think.
Although David Bailey's been...
I was going to say, like, the gym...
So let's just real quick, like, be honest about the situation.
Obviously, we've talked glowingly about all of those players as prospects.
I think them being worthy of top five overall selections is definitely there.
I think Jeremiah Smith goes to...
Easily, and so does Leonard Moore.
Easily.
Okay. I also think Dylan Stewart does.
I don't know.
But I view Dylan Stewart a little bit differently than you do.
Like you had him at two and you had Colin Simmons at one when we did the edge rush of rankings.
Yeah.
So I think more and I think Stuart Smith and Moore would go number two.
I think Smith and Moore would.
I think there's a longer combo with a three in the middle.
Yeah, I think they're still picking Bailey over Simmons.
I mean, I can't emphasize enough like how much they loved David Bailey because of how ready they thought he
was.
Ruin Bain's better, but it's fine.
Brady Wooten.
Scared to compete.
Scared to compete.
Rubin, no snaps, Bain.
That is true.
It's true.
Put him in bubble wrap.
He doesn't need it.
They already did.
Good.
Good.
I hope he never plays.
I hope he never plays a down for the Buccaneers.
And they'll put him in the ring of honor.
We knew he was going to be great, so he never played him.
Brady, $5, Super Bowl.
We were just afraid he was going to get hurt.
Shoot him.
Super Bowl.
Should have had some damn respect and omitted the fifth ranked spot.
Jaden Daniels won a Heisman.
How dare his number be using a prospect ranking, Cleve Lubin.
Brady.
Great job, Brady.
That's how you get your point across.
Nick gave us a hiding YouTube gift.
Mike said, I'm going to need you to talk about Justin Scott.
We didn't.
We did.
We did.
Tony Lee ranked these top 10 drafted defensive tackles coming out of college,
Mason Graham, at Oliver, Derek Brown,
Jalen Carter and Quinn and Williams and do we get a defensive tackle drafted in the top 10 in
2027? I think to answer the last part quickly, I think one of these guys definitely has a shot.
Yeah, I don't know if it's guaranteed. But it's not guaranteed at all. I think based off talent,
the most talented was Jalen Carter. Oh, yeah, yeah. I thought you were thinking about this year's
class still. Yeah. So yeah. I would have Quinn and over Jalen. When you factor in,
everything. Yes.
I would too.
Like I think I had Quinn in really high that.
I did too. Yeah.
I would have it.
I would have it.
And I had Oliver high.
I would have it Quinnin, Jalen Carter, Derek Brown, Mason Graham, Ed Oliver.
But I did have all those guys pretty high.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Robert.
Look at this username.
Robert NFLSC addict.
Wow.
Wow.
I love it.
Connor.
That's true commitment right there, folks.
Big T.
My fantasy draft is on Sunday.
I like my board.
But who are your Vante Mac, no matter what guys,
rookies and vets.
Oh.
It's getting harder each week because the hype is going to go too high,
but I was trying to answer these based off of ADP.
I'm trying to leave every draft with Jonah Coleman,
just because I think he's going to start for Denver at some point.
Smart.
And you're going to get him for not much of a cost.
I like George Kittle's ADP.
Everybody's looking at the torn Achilles,
and he's just all the way down to like 85th or 90th.
You're basically getting a two-round to two-to-three-round discount on George Kittle.
Because he hasn't been cleared yet, and I think he's going to be cleared for week one, and he's George freaking kill.
So, yeah.
Along the tight end lines, Tucker Kraft and Tyler Warren, I think you have an opportunity to get either of those guys.
And I'm pretty big on, like, drafting tight ends early because I'm trying to get that advantage because there's only so many elite high usage tight ends.
And I think both of those guys could be like genuine league winners for you.
So totally agree.
Yeah.
Hey, I tell you, I like Baker Mayfield this year.
Being drafted as like QB 19.
He can easily be a top 12 to 14 quarterback.
I agree.
I'd agree with that.
Trinidady $5 Super Chat said,
you started by lunch.
So I went on YouTube.
Saw you guys and almost choked on my food.
Thanks.
You're welcome.
Well, yeah.
We're sorry, but we're also.
We also say, you're welcome.
Scrap them off the field.
We got a game to play.
You're fine.
Sports debate arena, $2 super chat.
I saw PFF said that Malachi Fields equals Megatron.
No.
Um, Ian.
That's a bad take.
Sounds like AI made that take.
Yeah, no.
$10 super chat from Ian.
Couldn't say it for the defensive end episode, but I can't hear.
Every single one of these guys is a future bear.
Our D-line would be bad, but how bad?
Is there a line historically that comes to mind on their level?
Iceman.
I mean, yeah.
Damn, he's real low on his bears.
Yeah.
I think the bears could be bad, but I don't know about like historically bad, D-line.
Well, they're going to be one of the most fun teams to watch because if their defensive line is historically bad, but they're scoring 35 points a game.
I also don't often remember, well, forgettable defensive lines.
Yeah, they just don't have a difference maker.
And they're not really a, they don't play as a sturdy unit either.
So that's not great.
True Blue with the $5 super chat said, hey Connor, just got here.
Did you show that Orphan Revis highlights and give them an uncrustable yet?
So for those that don't know this, me and Sims did the, you know, an orphan comes into the studio trend.
What would you, what would you do?
But instead, our initial question was Warren Sapp comes into the studio and he's trying to tackle you guys.
What would you do?
Nice.
Yeah.
So I said, I would try to help, but I would just get split in half.
half by him and people thought I was talking about an orphan.
So my PR is currently under crisis management.
He's hiring a team.
My publicist is not pleased.
He's putting the team together.
Just the tape, $10 super chat.
To hear late because of work, try it, Trevor.
It's not too bad.
Appreciate all the time that you guys put in.
You know, it's great.
Whenever you get a job again, people are still going to do this.
I hope they do.
That's why they show and that's why they show in the,
Alex are the best.
Both as a consumer and a creator,
I sincerely appreciate all of the insight
and entertainment that you provide.
We appreciate you just the tape.
Obviously, as a content creator,
we are glad that anything that we could do here on this show
could inspire you to do something cool on your own.
So we absolutely love hearing that.
We obviously appreciate the Super Chat as well.
Jay Whack gave us another $2.
Say, Camarie Copeland is a dog from Virginia Tech.
I think he's got a lot of potential.
Yep.
I think he's kind of all over the place still,
but I definitely see a path to him becoming a big time impact player.
Kyle $5 Super Chat said,
can you guys give me any hope that Peter Woods won't be a bust?
He got moved at Will last Saturday.
Peter Woods was not going to show up in the NFL
and look night and day different than what he looked at Clemson.
And at Clemson, he looked like a player who we talked about this in the last,
we talked about this throughout the draft process.
Peter Woods looked like a player at Clemson that just tried to out-athlete
everybody.
Yep.
And when he went up against bad competition,
in college last year,
it looked really good.
We already said this
about a half hour or hour ago,
whatever it was.
So few players
get to out athlete people
in the NFL.
And so it was always going to be
a little bit of a journey
for Peter Wood.
So we don't have to call him
a bust yet.
He is the prospect
that we thought
that he was going to be
getting into the NFL.
So to give him a little bit of time.
I wouldn't call him a bust
quite yet.
Go ahead.
You got the next one?
Yeah, this is Nick on fire.
UGA's marching band
in a flag football tournament
a few years ago.
We had three concussions, a torn ACL,
and a fracture of orbital socket, good times.
For the marching band?
You guys are taking on Kirby Smart's mentality.
Do not go over the middle of the field
in the marching band flag football tournament.
It is that mentality, that Kirby Smart mentality,
is permeating throughout the entire campus.
It's unbelievable.
Mediocrity.
Yeah, go ahead.
Played in a frat flag football league
in the first game, a dude dived at my knees,
and tore my MCL, stayed in the game,
and we won that.
Stayed in the game.
Look at that.
Yeah,
love that.
Playing on one leg.
That's true.
Greg Jennings.
That's true art.
Carter.
$10 super chat.
I go to Bowling Green,
have a walk-on tryout with Eddie George.
He works out at my local gym.
My ear mural quarterback was Drew Aller's backup in high school at my,
is that Medina or Medina?
I don't know which one.
Medina?
Medina.
Yeah.
Gracie knows.
Yeah, she's just.
Going ballistic right at the buzzer.
Thanks, girl.
Michael,
uh, said,
10-dollar super chat.
Thank you.
Since I found out last week,
uh,
that Trev is a fellow emo kid,
start bench,
cut yellow card,
some 41 and simple plan.
This one I could do.
Oh, okay.
Let's go.
Start some 41.
Oh, okay.
Bench yellow card.
All right.
Cut simple plan.
I think that I would start yellow card.
I'd bench some 41 and then I'd cut simple plan.
And I could see him flipped.
Yellow card has a lot of bangers.
Yeah.
yeah yeah civil plan is the cut yeah i think so i think it has to be wiscoe last one five dollar super chat
um hope you enjoy the impromptu family pick uh i think it's awesome that you guys interact with us
on other platforms as well love you guys appreciate you wisco and we appreciate you guys for seriously
that's the fun of this man yeah it really is like this is a and it's a cool part about like
the discord as well and obviously the chat like we're doing the show you guys are having your
own conversations in the chat and like that's that's the coolest thing to us right that you
don't have to just depend on sort of what we're talking about.
We've always wanted this show to just be like that everybody's hanging out.
And we're kind of having a conversation and trying to keep things on the rails with the show
format.
But you guys can go off the rails as much as you want.
And obviously you do in the chat.
And it makes for a fun community.
So we appreciate you guys.
We love you guys.
Thank you so much for the super chats.
Thank you so much for tuning in.
Appreciate you guys.
See you next week.
