The race is on.
He always cooks, folks.
Connor Wegman versus Cracker Barrel.
Welcome to the opening bell at the NFL Stock Exchange podcast.
Trevor Sykima, Connor Rogers,
and Tyler Cook, our producer here with you guys for another Monday edition of the podcast.
we got a new idea for you here on this live episode. shout out to everybody in the chat
who's already got things lively and popping. We'll be going back and forth to you guys throughout the show.
But, Connor, today the topic is best and worst early returns from the 2025 NFL draft.
And the way that we're going to do it is we're going to go one guy each for each category for every single round of the NFL draft.
So all seven rounds, we're going to talk about guys that we have loved what we've seen so far.
and okay, maybe not on some of these other players.
So how are you doing, my friend?
I'm good, man.
It's a good time to kind of check in on the rookie class, right?
It's almost that halfway point of the season here.
You know, the fix your franchise gods were let down the Jets.
I see the Jets hat, baby.
I see the Jets hat.
Who knows when you can wear it again.
The second the Jets win a game, the Jets gear comes out.
Look at that.
You see how untouched this is?
It's brand new white because it's never.
ever worn it's out of the box it's out of the you know people do that with shoes right where they
like increase the shoes you can you can't you can't bend the hat you haven't even put this hat on
this a brand new hat for it's untouched and random my desk sat down threw it on i was like oh this is
pristine right now so we are doing um the best and worst returns for the rookie class and i think
you and i will have quite a few different picks here which makes the conversation really really
fun because we'll get through more players and kind of a way to satisfy everybody that's yeah i admittedly
bad at this. We spend a whole year plus on a draft class. All we do is talk about these guys.
We got big names for them. We got bits. We got takes. And then they go to the NFL and it's like,
I don't want to play with you anymore. Next draft class. So I like that we're actually going to see how
they're doing and revisit some of our takes as well. It really is. It's the toy story meme.
The second that we get to the regular season, it is just, I don't want to play with you anymore.
You just drop these guys. You never talk about them again. But honestly, when we ask you guys out there for
topics on the show that you would want to hear about this sort of thing a lot is is a pretty
common denominator you know it'll be in different formats different topics you guys will throw a lot
of really great ideas out there but i think this specifically is something that you love for us to do
so here we are we're going back and we're looking at it now i'll say this right off the top
there's a couple of players throughout the first few rounds of the draft that have been hurt
and missed a lot of time this season i didn't take that into account like
Walter Nolan is the big one, right, for the Arizona Cardinals.
Walter Nolan's not on either of our list for the worst return,
even though there hasn't been anything for him,
but it's because he hasn't played.
And so some players have been a little bit banged up,
and we didn't totally take them off the table for that if they have been able to
play in some games.
But that was the one example where I think a lot of people are going to be like,
oh, the easy ones are Walter Nolan.
And it's like, okay, well, for this exercise,
the spirit of what we're trying to talk about,
we're not taking injury into account.
It's really just expectations.
And there's a lot of stuff that can go into that.
Obviously, what we thought of these guys pre-draft will go into how we have these
conversations, the situations that they were drafted into, right?
There are a couple of players who, all right, maybe we really love them pre-draft
and they haven't done a lot so far yet this year.
But if you look at the context of the team that they went to in the situation they're at,
you wouldn't really think that you'd get a lot of return for that player.
So we're trying to take all this context into account to give you guys as fair
of an assessment as possible, but there's good and there's bad, as there always is,
with everything. So, buddy, we got a lot of names that we're going to get to, a lot of rookies
that we're going to talk about here on the show. So let's just get straight to it. I will start
with you. Give me the player in the first round who you think has had the best return so far.
What do we? Eight weeks, eight weeks into the NFL season. And that's important to remember here,
is that if you go back over the years and you did this exercise, how many times can a guy kind of
change the view of him but somebody that I don't I think this is who he is is Tyler Warren
and what an amazing return for the Colts on this book I mean this is someone that there was a lot
of combo around the draft how early can you take a Tyler Warren level player a bit of a brawler
at tight end a guy with great receiving skills but he wasn't somebody that was going to run
with ridiculous speed or anything like that and the Colts are showing
when you have the right plan, the right staff for a player that it doesn't always matter where
they play. And I don't think it's, you know, it's obviously not a coincidence that the Colts
offense has become this absolute wagon this year. As you insert Tyler Warren into it,
you get competent quarterback play from Daniel Jones, Michael Pittman, Josh Downs, Alec Pierce,
healthy and really, and Jonathan Taylor, healthy, some continuity on the offensive line. But the returns
they've gotten from Warren, as you see the grades right there.
He's been a really good blocker.
They've used them all over the field, in line at Titan, wide receiver, slot, H-back, full-back.
They've literally run full-back belly with him.
They've snapped him the ball.
He allows the Colts to look one way, Trevor, and play a different way.
And we're playing heavy personnel packages.
Oh, we're throwing the ball, but Tyler Warren's a freak wide receiver, so it doesn't matter.
Oh, we're playing a little lighter, but Tyler Warren is out there.
so we can run behind him or we can ask him to help him pass protection.
I think this was a fantastic pick for the Colts.
I think it's one of the many reasons they've had been one of the stories of the NFL season.
Dude, he's been the man.
And my favorite part of what I've watched from Tyler Warren is very clearly the Colts
watched his Penn State tape.
And they were like, yeah, why not?
Yeah, why not?
Tight end, slot wide receiver, out wide boundary wide receiver, full back, running back,
wildcat quarterback.
Why not?
why not this guy has shown that he was able to do it at an elite level in college and sort of like
I think the jags are doing with Travis Hunter although I maybe even wish that they'd lean into it a little
bit more let the guy fail at everything before you really take it all the way from now I don't
mean to be hypocritical because we talked here on this show about versatility and how it's really
important to have a home position but very clearly Tyler Warden Warren has had the home
position he is playing tight end incredibly well especially in line tight end so as he has played
that very well throughout camp and the early part of this season expand the role figure out
what can't he do essentially so i've got some people in the chat who are already saying like
hey do the bears regret loveland and i think i think the word regret is a loaded word for
this specific show right you mentioned it's not like the guys that we have is the worst early
returns can never be pros again. I mean, of course, what we really mean is that they're
bums and that they'll never be anything in the league. But I'm kidding, I'm kidding. But for example,
like the Loveland thing, do they regret it? I don't think we can officially say that they regret it.
But me and you had Tyler Warren tied in one in the class. If I needed a tight end last year,
if I needed a tight end last year, I'd have been picking Tyler Warren. And so this podcast would have
taken Tyler Warren as the first tight end.
off the board and early returns show that he has been worth every bit of that so i think he should
yeah i think he should win offensive rookie of the year the vote was held today i think it's him
or my guy okay but we have to we got we got to get to your guy first we're doing the best
and then we're doing the worst uh if you want to say any other words on tyler warren obviously
feel free uh you'll never be able to say any other words on tyler warren after we move on
this is my holy chance and then
They will silence me.
And if you're out there listening, I'm being held captive in this room, every podcast.
And they are silencing me.
Lock the bomb said, Trevor, the answer you're looking for is, yes, the bears regret it.
We're not saying that.
I didn't say it.
We're not saying that yet.
But I would have taken Tyler Warren.
You guys are saying that.
You guys are saying that.
Trevor would have taken Tyler Warren.
That's for sure.
Anyways, the worst returns, this was hard.
This was really hard.
And I followed the same way you did.
that Walter Nolan is hurt.
So I wasn't, I wasn't just going to log on and get on this microphone and be like,
it's Walter Nolan because he hasn't played.
So for me, though, factoring in how early of the pick it was and what they need from him right now,
it's Michael Williams of the 49ers, the 11th overall pick.
And I don't think Michael Williams has been out there where you watch him and you go,
this dude's bad.
That's not the point.
Because I know exactly what he could do.
he could set a pretty strong edge against the run game.
And you see the run defense grade there.
It's not like he's been an absolute monster against the run.
But I think he's been solid against the run, honestly.
Trevor, this dude cannot rush the passer.
He can't.
And that's not surprising as we're doing the show after eight weeks of the NFL season
because he wasn't a good pass rusher in college.
And the thing is, you took him with a top 11 pick.
So you're betting on that projection in a system under Robert Sala that is very past rusher friendly, by the way.
If you look at the pass rushers that have blossomed under Sala over the years.
And this got magnified even worse because Nick Bosa's out for the year and they need Michael Williams to not be that dude, but across from Bryce Huff, can you give us something rushing the passer?
Right.
And honestly, even watching the tape against the Texans this weekend, that line.
is horrendous.
I mean, horrendous.
He doesn't have any moves.
There's no moves for Michael Williams.
There's no plan.
I'm big and strong and I'm going to kind of kind of barrel my way through.
And I just, that's a tough sell with the 11th overall pick.
And there's plenty of time for it to turn.
But the point of the show is the returns after eight weeks.
Yeah.
And the 11th overall pick in the draft to me has not given the San Francisco 49ers defense the
returns that are warranted.
No, I do agree with you.
And I think we as a collective on this show were a little bit lower on Mikel than other people were.
And I understanded the allure of picking him just because he is an explosive athlete.
He doesn't really translate that into pass rush.
He never has.
But he's still an explosive athlete.
He's a dense, he has a dense body frame, pound for pound.
He's really strong.
He can defend the run well.
And I think he's going to be a good run defender.
But is the 11th overall pick really worth it for you at that point in time?
Now, I think what people might push back on for this, because I do agree with you that I think the return has not been there for him, they would be like, okay, well, who do you want?
Like, who would you rather them get from a past richer perspective?
Because it was Jalen Walker after that, who we were also a little bit skeptical on when it came to his full-time position.
Shemar Stewart was the next edge rusher after that.
I would have thought about Donovan Azaraku, to be honest with you.
And he didn't end up getting picked until the second round, but I would have thought about Donovan Azaraku there because I thought he could be a half.
hell of a player and I think his passers potential is better than Michael Williams, but
that would sort of be, if we're going to get pushback from it, it's sort of like,
who else would you have picked there? But the value of that number 11 overall pick, I do agree
with you. I think whether it's, this year, he certainly will get a little bit of a pass for
saying, okay, well, he wasn't going to turn into a great pass rusher after one year.
But I do wonder if we get to the end of his rookie seat, if we get to the end of his rookie
contract and he's just not the pass rusher that they need him to be and he's just not that
player that they're looking to build their defense around a lot of time left but i agree with you
early returns kind of show him as what he was and what we thought about him pre-draft exactly it's early
returns it's not like redrafting right there's a big difference but it's he's the same
exact guy and they're really banking on a huge development arc huge development arc for this thing to
turn i'm laughing at the chat as rodney says
I said, sorry that I'm late, fellas.
I have the, and then trigger warning in asterisk job.
And then after him, people were like, please censor the J word.
Yikes, not the J word.
By the way, and we're going to get to all the super chats here, I promise.
Yes.
There was another one on here.
We might have lost it, actually.
It had me howling, and it was, it was total, this is totally unnecessary.
I was at your wedding.
I know you could dance, but Meets 32 said,
Mike Lilliams on the football field is like Trevor on the dance floor.
No moves.
Wild, wild shot that I don't even know.
I don't even know if this is justified.
I personally think it's not.
No moves.
You guys are going to see one day.
Yeah, they're going to learn.
Hey, this pod blows up.
We're going to be on Dancing with the Stars.
Done.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
it's getting me and you are going to be in the finals and the addicts are going to have to pick
against us for who's going to win dancing with the stars yeah and that's and meets 32 you're
the final vote yeah yeah yeah yeah and yeah and now i get to come face to face pause with my
accuser on national television the chat is just eli no moves no plan all right the bit that we
Just from the chat alone. It's unreal.
A content monster. I feel like I should be paying the chat.
Are worth us turning on the microphones and even doing this show.
Okay. So my best return.
Oh, wow. Would you look at that? It's a buccaneer. Yeah, you're damn right. It is. It's a MacGigbuka.
Emmecca is the best return value player in the first round. It was him or Tyler Warren.
and I figured that you were going to go with Tyler Warren when we were breaking down the show.
So I am going with Emeka Buka.
Now, that is not to say that there haven't been other rookies that have been fantastic.
I think Travis Hunter has been good.
I think Will Campbell has been really good as a left tackle holding his own.
I think Armand Membu has been a little bit up and down, but certainly there have been weeks when he has looked really good.
A fellow wide receiver, the wide receiver that was taken before Emeka Ibuka, Tetra,
McMillan also looks good.
But you look at some of those numbers that Emeka Abuka has right there.
is the real deal, and especially with the injuries that Mike Evans has suffered and how slow it
has been to get Chris Godwin back. I don't know what this passing attack is without Chris Godwin
because for as much as Tess Johnson, understandably so, getting MVP chance from the Buccaneers
fans as he caught his touchdown a couple of weeks ago. Obviously sarcasm, if you guys
missed that on social media, they were chanting MVP for Baker Mayfield, Tess Johnson thought
because he caught the touchdown. They were chanting MVP for him, which was very funny. But other
than that, all jokes aside,
Emeka's the real deal. He's a
solid blocker. He's great in the slot. He's good
on the outside. He's come up with the big touchdowns
for them. Massive catches deep down the
field. He's a first down machine. He already
looks like a pro. Dude, he
is the real deal. And again,
just looking at what
the buck situation has been,
they have had to put so much
on this guy's plate already. And for him
to be the number 19th overall
pick in the draft and the impact
he has already given this team,
I don't care if people will call it bias.
He, in my opinion, it's him or Tyler Warren.
It's him or Tyler Warren for me.
It's been amazing.
Yeah.
It's been amazing.
And right.
And we've seen this award obviously pretty easily go to receivers before.
And I agree with you.
I'd call it a coin flip, honestly.
And I know Jackson Darts odds have been very high as well.
Quarterbacks are always going to get that kind of, you know, understandably,
that kind of jump.
What do we got now?
Seah loss of this chat said.
i big boo did you see gronk try to say emmeca i did see that he called him like amica igbibboo
and he's not alone i've seen some real fails i've seen a mecky amica it's one thing if you get
the last name wrong abuka yes right but there's a lot of people that don't know how to say a mecca
i yeah emmeca is the easy one i mean if you can't get a mecca if you're you're in trouble you stay inside
you're just you're you are sweating bullets you are sweating bullets if you can't get
not leave the home do not get a remote job dan's shouting out uh gray zabel as well
zabel has been really nice as well shouting him out is totally appropriate there are some
people that are going to say well hold on jackson dart like what he has been for the new york
giants and sure i i think that jackson dart has been good for the giants overall but in terms
of early returns, again, I think that players like Emeka, like Tyler Warren, those guys
have been better returns, to be honest with you. And I think that Jackson Dart has had good
moments. He is on the side of potentially being in the conversation for one of the better ones.
Obviously, he's much more on the better side than the worst side when it comes to early returns.
But I do feel as though there have still been positions where Jackson Dart has been put in,
where he's struggling as a young rookie quarterback. And that's totally fine. That's
totally, totally fine. But that's also why I wouldn't have him over Tyler Warren or
Mechegbuka or honestly, like Will Campbell as well, who I think is playing really,
really well. And probably Tetrao McMillian. I probably would have Jackson Dart like fringe
in the top 10 of best early returns. I don't, is that crazy? I feel like that's not crazy.
No, not insane. And, you know, and even Will Campbell ran to Miles Garrett yesterday. And it was like,
oh, there are days like this in the NFL.
So it just happens.
But yeah, I would agree with you.
I think the linemen as a whole.
Like being a rookie offensive tackle is so hard in this league.
Yes.
And I think both Campbell and Membo have been holding it down.
Yep, honestly.
But I agree.
So who was the worst returns?
So the worst return.
Well, by the way, really quick, somebody said this in the chat.
And I wanted to look this up when I had a second.
They were like, has Azaraku been worth a first round?
pick, though, like when we were talking about him versus
Michael Williams.
Ezoraku has, he has 21 pressures this season, 13.6%
passers win percentage. And that's through his first, you know,
eight games as a rookie. Like, I do think that
Ezoraku hasn't been perfect, but I think that he has been a really,
I think he has been a solid player. So, again, I would have taken
Neziraku there over Michael Williams. But chat,
chat is really going about for Dart. And I totally get it.
I totally get it. Darts played really well, even under some really tough circumstances.
It's just to me, like, he didn't start out the season, so he's already, the show is best returns through eight weeks of the season.
I pick the player that I think has been the best all around offensive threat in the first round of the rookie class for a powerhouse cults team.
You pick the player that you can make the same argument for a very good Bucks team.
Right.
So if we do this at the end of the year, like, then yeah, then DART could very well.
be the guy that gave you the best returns throughout the whole season.
Yep.
My worst return in the first round, I'm going to go with defensive tackle
Ty Leak Williams, the first round pick from the Detroit Lions.
He was picked number 28.
He was the fifth defensive tackle picked in the draft.
He's played 204 defensive snaps.
He has a 53.6 defensive grade.
This is really what gets me here when I talk about not loving the early returns on
Tyleague Williams.
44.7 run defense grade so far this season.
He had an 88.6 run defense grade in 2024 when he was away.
at Ohio State, and the run defense numbers were a lot lower.
I didn't go into this exercise, even like thinking about Tileak Williams as one of these players,
but unfortunately, when I'm watching him defend the run, when he's taking on double teams,
he's trying to do the drop knee like corkscrew technique.
Yeah.
And it worked really well in college because there just aren't enough good offensive
linemen in college to be able to overcome when he's sort of in that correct technique and
playing with the good power that he played with.
In the NFL, they do.
They're strong enough to be able to overcome it.
They will simply push him from the side and knock him over.
And even when he had some one-on-one blocks, like he's not, he was, he was, he's hit and
miss, I think with some of these, these single block situations.
And so the reason why I don't love the early returns for Tileik Williams is simply because
he is a dominant run defender.
Like that is why you drafted him.
And he may evolve into that and he may be totally fine.
But I'm a little bit nervous because he's doing a lot of the stuff that he did it in college that was successful that has not been successful through the first eight games when it comes to why you drafted him and why you put him on the field.
I have a lot of faith in Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell and their player development and their talent identification.
And so it could absolutely all work out.
But I would think that the floor as a run defender would have been a little bit higher for Tyleek Williams, especially on that lion's defensive front.
So that to me has been some worrisome returns.
I'm a little surprised by this one, and I don't think he's been game-changing for them anyway.
It's almost been a neutral, but I think he's played better than that run defense grade when I watched the Lions play.
Like, I think he's been stout enough.
I think the tough thing for run defense grade at times is he's a player that's always going to be put in one of the toughest positions because of what they drafted him to do.
I've actually been pleasantly surprised by the pass rush lately.
I'm kind of shocked by it because I didn't think he could do that at all.
in college and I've actually seen flashes of pass rush ability but I'm definitely surprised by
this I don't know if he would be in my like my my five of the guys that have given the
like I would definitely I obviously had my kill Williams I would definitely have colson
lovelin in that as well close in 11 Colston lovin's a good call out I probably could do the
colson lovelin one there was somebody who said Luther burden he wasn't a first round pick
Yeah, but somebody was saying that they want to see like Luther Burden slander in here.
But the issue with Luther Burden for me is he's playing behind Romo Dunzee and DJ Moore.
So targets problem.
He's sort of getting into the game, but they're, it's not like there's a lot of targets to go around with him.
And I think that they're sort of picking and choosing when to put him in the offense.
So I don't think that that's totally on him.
I'll give you two more for sure that came to my mind.
Just because I almost picked these guys for this.
I almost picked Kenneth Grant,
who I felt like had some real moments
when they beat Atlanta yesterday.
I thought he was horrendous before that.
And Malachi Starks has just looked shockingly lost in Baltimore.
Starks was also a tough one for me
because I thought about him,
but I thought about how much that Ravens defense
has struggled as a whole.
And like he hasn't.
been good, but it's really hard to be a safety that is on a bad defense that, like, plays well
as a rookie. So maybe I'm being too lenient on a player that I have a lot of faith in in Malachi
Starks, but I know his grades haven't been great. His production hasn't been great. But to me,
it was like, okay, if the defense plays better, I feel like Malachi Starch is going to play better.
And Kenneth Grant, so I almost went with Kenneth Grant over Tileak Williams. And the only thing
that made me change it is you mentioned as of lately he has been playing a lot better.
He's had a couple of grades, I believe this season where he's graded in a 70 of run defense
that have come over the last three weeks. And he's looked at least in single blocking
situations so much better than what he did at the beginning of the situation in the beginning
of the season. And I feel like he was handling those things better than Tileak Williams.
But I almost wrote him down. And I think he could have been a good choice there.
if we wanted to go with that
because he was picked even earlier
than Tileak Williams was.
But I just got worried with Tileak.
Maybe it's a little bit of my pre-draft analysis
kind of creeping in, but...
Well, that's going to naturally happen.
I worried about the value...
I worried about the value with Tilek anyways,
picking him in the first round.
And watching him struggle against the run,
like I feel like he has,
that makes me even more nervous for him.
But hey, we had somebody in the chat
who was like, hey, we're not worried about Tiley Williams at all.
And I hope that we're going through this at the end of the year.
And his run defense grades are way better.
And the film is way better.
But that's sort of what I saw there.
Yeah.
And I might be defending him because I liked him a lot.
Now, I was even surprised when they took him here.
But I applauded it.
And I think he's going to be fine.
But yeah, I mean, you, you of course want to see more from all these guys.
Want to jump to round two?
Yes.
Before we do that, though, my producer will yell at me if I do not say this.
There's a lot of guys that are watching live.

the Nick Mangold, great jet, even better man.
Tony, we absolutely agree and, you know,
feel awful for Nick's family and an amazing player,
amazing person and thank you for that super chat really generous with a great message behind it
yeah no truly it's uh incredibly sad not only that this happened but you just you you read so
many accounts from people who knew nick off the field as well and just the type of dude that he was
and just all the love and the prayers out to him and his family uh his wife four kids man um it's just
heartbreaking and i said this yesterday i still mean it today uh put a little bit of extra love out into the
world honestly um with with with with somebody that like that no longer with us so um thoughts of prayers
of course to him and his family and um pretty pretty cool that the jets got a win on yeah
the day for him it really is in the state not far from the place he's from you know 45 minutes
from Cincinnati he's from so it was definitely special uh libertarian Sasquatch great
username said as a cardinals fan awesome to tune into our disclaimer must have tuned in
immediately when we were talking about Walter Nolan not having played yet because of injury
got a $2 super chat the Jets have a worse war than any Mets player have a
interesting Hatesh is absolutely in the spreadsheets right now respect super pony thank you
for the $5 super chat as a Colts fan I would like to sincerely thank Ryan Poles
in the Chicago Bears front office for doing what they do best wow
Yeah. I mean, hey, I agree.
Stuff. Stuff.
$10.00 to pass along the message.
Pete. Round four.
Looks like was the values on of the draft.
D.K. Lane, Scataboo, all show and promise on the defensive side.
Ty Robinson, Danny Stutzman, those guys.
I have not seen Ty Robinson specifically.
I watched him a lot this summer because he was like getting her looks with the starters.
Right, right, right.
And, you know, a little bias.
I was furious when the Jets took Arian Smith over him.
So I said, I will make it my mission to watch every movement of Ty Robinson's life now.
We'll get to that.
All right.
Your best and worst in the second round.
All right.
Second round.
So this is a time where I put pride and bias aside.
And I picked a player here that I did not love before the draft.
And I am very happy to look very wrong right now.
Okay.
Carson Swessinger, the 33rd overall pick of the draft.
So the very first pick of the second round.
And unfortunately, he just suffered a high ankle sprain.
He's probably going to miss a month and a half here or a month around.
But he's played all the way leading up to this.
He's been an absolute menace.
I just wondered, I knew he's a premium athlete who wasn't a long time starter.
He played a lot of special teams before he finally got a starting role late in college.
I just wondered if he had the play strength.
He was on the ground a lot in college.
And I think he's been so good at the NFL level.
He's reading things.
He's flying to the ball.
he can make plays in coverage you can make plays behind the line of scrimmage he could blitz
this has been a phenomenal pick for the browns in what looks like a really especially when you
count the udFA process it looks really really strong for them right now i uh i think that he has
been fantastic i really awesome he they have they have thrown him into the fire and he has
he has absolutely just been able to fit right in with that uh i
Cleveland Brown's defense being one of the best in the NFL.
So he's been, he's been fantastic.
And I agree with you.
He was one that I was worried about making the jump to the NFL.
I thought that how much he played, how much he felt like he was playing on the ground,
how much he would kind of misread.
He was aggressive to go to angles.
He'd have some mistackles.
Like I only thought that was going to get more and more obvious in the NFL.
And I think there's certainly been some of that still,
but he's still making the big plays that you want him to make.
So I think that's a really good call out by you.
he has been fantastic with his early returns the worst returns i didn't even this was the easiest
one on the whole thing i hate to say that but jonas sabinae has been a disaster in miami he's
had one of the worst eight-week runs i've seen for a second round rookie on an offensive line ever yeah
that's his 2.1 pass blocking grade it's not great like the number two the decimal and then the number
one yeah he as you see there he was the fourth overall interior offensive lineman taken in this
draft he he just can't pass protect and i don't i feel like it's now trickled down
where his confidence is shaken here trevor where i watch him play and he's almost guessing
it feels like his feet aren't right under him there's even times that's shocked me he's overwhelmed
by speed to power.
And playing offensive line as a rookie is one of the hardest things in this league.
So there is plenty of time for Jonah to get right and turn to a serviceable starter.
But he looks like a guy that you almost can't believe they keep trotting him out there
with how maybe in his own head he is at this point.
It's really tough.
Yeah, they don't really have anybody else.
And this was a, didn't they trade up a lot to get him?
I'm almost I'm almost positive
Yeah
This was a move by the Dolphine
Vegas
Uh
Las Vegas traded their second and fifth round picks
So 37th overall and 143 overall to Miami
In exchange for their second, third and fourth round selections.
That's a massive trade.
So they moved up
11 spots and they gave up.
They basically gave up a third round
to move up 11 spots to go get 7 IEA.
And then you got to hit on the pick.
So the return.
And then in that trade.
And then Kenneth Grant,
and then Kenneth Grant could have been my pick there for worse return in the first round.
That's not ideal.
No, it's not.
I would say that it's exactly the opposite of ideal.
Chris Greer, man.
He's stuff.
Yeah.
Find yourself a job like his.
like if you were if you were like a bus driver
and somebody somebody yeah here we go somebody yeah somebody yeah you know
somebody compared you to chris career i would assume that you don't pick anyone up
you don't go to any bus stop you just wake up you get in the bus
and then you return the bus at the end of the day
oh man i hate you knew it was coming did you see brandon brandon was like get the clip ready
that was i got cold opens to make okay you know what that was that was in terms of
analogies right off the top of your head mid show yeah that's pretty good thanks
the bus driver that never goes to any bus stops.
Kids make this cool rear help, you know.
It's not my job.
I just drive the bus.
I don't actually have to do anything with it.
That's, I, that's, you should be proud of that one.
You really should.
I'm not going to lie, I am.
That was, that was phenomenal.
Okay.
Not now, honey.
I'm coming up with the cold open.
and you did and you did you absolutely did those who watch it live they'll know okay my uh my best return
in round two very curious about this one i would love to hear from the chat go through look at
the second round picks here um i ended up going with andrew macuba the safety for the philadelphia
eagles last pick of the second round and i think there's a ton of value in that being the case
anyways with him being pick number 64 there he was the third safety taken in this draft he's
already played 474 defensive snaps. He's got a lower PFF grade overall because the coverage
grade's been a little bit up and down. Now, when I went back and I watched the film of him,
a lot of that has to do with when he is matched up in the slot with tight ends. And that's sort of
a tough ask for him being a smaller safety slash slot defender to do those things. And I think
teams recognize that. But there have been plays where he has played it really well. What I love about
him, the play speed is still there for him. The whole reason why you would have liked him a lot coming
out of Texas is because this dude plays 100% as fast as he can at all times, but he doesn't do it
in a way where you feel like he's super out of control. His play speed is just really fast.
So coming from depth, because he's played over 300 snaps at the free safety spot, the run defense
stuff from depth has been fantastic from a player who you worry about how much of an impact he can make
in the run defense game, given how he's a lot more slender as a safety in the NFL is normally
built. But I think that Mukuba has been fantastic. It hasn't been perfect for him.
But the early returns, they have a starting safety, in my opinion.
This is somebody who at a base level can defend the run in the NFL from depth as a free
safety, from a strong safety spot from a slot defender spot.
The versatility is there. He's fantastic. I think he's only going to grow.
And I think he's just going to be a high impact safety.
for the Philadelphia Eagles.
So he is my early return there.
I'll go back on the chat and I'll read some players that you guys are mentioning as well.
But Mike Green, the edge rusher for the Baltimore Ravens is my worst return so far from
the Ravens for the second round.
And the reason why is because it's sort of an opportunity and a volume thing as well.
Yeah, he was the ninth edge rusher taken in the draft.
he's already played 303 defensive snaps.
He has a 45.8 defensive grade.
He just has a 56.1 pass rush grade and just a 7.7% passers win percentage.
When he was at Marshall the last two years, his passers win percentage was above 19,
two years ago, and it was above, I think, 22 or 23 this past year.
Mike Green was one of the best pass rushers in all of college football over the last couple of seasons.
and on 156 pass rushing snaps, he has that production.
Connor, that's the most pass rushing snaps of any player on the Ravens.
They are leaning on him to be like their pass rusher here.
And he's just not been able to produce through the first eight weeks of the season.
When I go back and when I was watching his film,
what concerns me the most about Mike Green is whenever he tries to win with power,
whether it's a speed to power conversion, whether it's a bull rush, whatever, NFL offensive
tackles are handling him pretty easily right now.
And when he showcases, you know, the finesse in the speed game, you know, whether it's like a dip
and a rip and he's getting around the outside shoulder or even when he's hit an inside move,
like he can do those things from a finesse pass rushing perspective.
But you can tell there are times when you watch that Marshall film, even against Ohio
state, which is the game that we talked about a lot, he'd get off the ball, he'd get his hands up
inside with good explosiveness and power. And he'd pop these guys back. And these offensive
tackles, just the second he got his hands up inside, they would get knocked back and they'd
have to be on their heels to then try to anchor and recover. In the NFL, he's trying to do that.
And these offensive linemen are just like, all right, now what? Now what are you going to do? And the power
just isn't the same right now for him.
And so I think for Mike Green,
this is a player that both of you and I thought
was very talented in last year's draft.
I think that he can become a well-rounded
good edge rusher at the NFL level.
But through the first eight weeks,
the reason why he's on this list for me
is that the Ravens have desperately needed a pass rusher.
And they have given him more opportunities
than any other person on their defensive line.
And the returns have been
not so great.
And so that's ultimately why he has been,
he's on this list for me in the worst category.
Yeah.
And, you know, the good sign here,
if there's a glass half full,
he had his best moment of his rookie season yesterday
because he used that speed you talked about
for a sack where he cleanly beat the protection,
but they need more from him.
And I think it goes back to your point
when we were talking about Malachi Starks.
He feels like another rookie that is,
being in a horrible defense is now compounding on him
where this front with the injuries they've dealt with
and some of the talent they don't have
it's just not good this front for the Ravens
and he's a guy that as much as I admittedly loved him
and thought he was a first round talent
this year he should probably be playing as a situational pass rusher
that would probably be best for his development
and instead because of all the injuries they've had
and the struggles they've had he's not playing like a situational
pass rusher and it's
you know, you have to have more of an array of moves in your arsenal or ability in your
arsenal.
And Mike Green needs to develop that power.
And there was options here.
I mean, good and bad.
Like Quintan Judkins was another Browns rookie that I could have made for best returns.
I saw people shouting out, well, Johnson, the corner for the Cardinals.
I did not realize that JT2 and Moloow, I think was a healthy scratch for like the first six weeks of the season.
And I have one of those coming up soon.
Ozzie Tripillo has been a scratch a lot, I believe.
So somebody, the Bears fan in the chat just mentioned Ozzie Tripillo.
The thing with Tripillo is, like him being a healthy scratch, obviously, is not great.
It's more about the team.
But he wasn't going to play, you know?
It's sort of, it's hard for me to be super harsh on him in that regard because, yeah,
he's not doing enough to be active on game day, which admittedly is not great.
but we haven't even seen him.
So it's kind of hard for me to totally say that that's a worse investment there.
Yeah.
One that kind of breaks my heart and I think he has time to turn it around.
But, you know, I think that, you know, the bills are going to want more from T.J. Sanders.
Oh.
And health, importantly, as well.
It's true.
Same with Shamar Turner for the Bears.
Yeah.
I mean, same can be said for him.
Guys who, guys who are playing well, I think Trey Amos.
is playing well amongst it's it's a struggling commander secondary but i think he's playing well
yeah tate ratledge looks like ass kicker man absolutely it's their DNA all the way there
nicky man worry turn his head the only reason really i didn't consider nicky man warry is just
because we haven't seen a lot of it from him but yeah yeah man he he's he looks really good and
if he continues this throughout the second half of the season when we do the rookie awards at
the end of the year he will absolutely be mentioned squorton has flashed
is one of the best edge pass rushers that Carolina has as well.
So I think that Scorton is absolutely up there too.
But yeah, those are a handful of names there.
Anybody else?
No.

wait how am i farming six seven who's six seven farming me or you did i say six seven oh oh i think
it's in the i think it's in the the phone number this happens every week
every week yeah well all right six seven farming that's fine we're all right third round
connor best and worst value so far the best returns or and this is a funny one because it's on
such limited sample which i don't understand but's jalen knoll on the texans right now yeah who was
the 79th pick in the draft.
He's averaging almost 12 yards per reception.
As you see right there,
he only has 14 catches for 162 yards.
So you might be like, Connor,
the returns on that aren't out of this world.
Well, number one,
when you do this exercise and you go through every rookie
through every round,
you're like, kind of reminds you
how long it takes to get going for a lot of players.
But besides that,
over the last two weeks,
Noel is showing that he needs more usage right now.
This tweet from Adam Levittan,
Jalen knoll has only run 48 of 96 routes.
It's 50% over the last two weeks.
But he's turned that into nine catches for 140 yards on 13 targets.
If Noel is playing average usage,
say get his utilization up to that he's running 70% of the routes or 80% of the routes.
And Stroud is starting to roll a little bit like we saw this weekend against San Francisco.
This guy could be one of the best rookie pass catchers in this class with how good he looks.
He knows how to get open, finish plays.
He's really good with the ball on his hands,
both as a wide receiver and on special teams.
I think, man, like, it's coming for Jalen Nolan.
We've had two weeks of it where it's very obvious,
but I think the best is ahead the second half of the season as well.
Yeah, I think that the Iowa State connection that the Texas have right now.
I can't help myself, too.
There's some sort of magic to it because all those guys,
even Xavier Hutchinson, you know, along with Jaden Higgins.
I mean, like they're playing really, really well.
So Noel and Higgins were always two people that felt like it felt like no matter
who you were asking, they were probably high on one of those guys, maybe high on both of them
because they were really good football players and they're really showing up in a big way.
And I think Noel was one of the more explosive players that we had in last year's draft class.
And it's great to see the early returns for him.
Yeah, I think that this is the type of wide receiver that Stroud needs more of on
the field and Nick Kelly kind of has to recognize what they've seen in a limited sample size
the last two weeks and be like, okay, I think it's time that the rookie's ready.
Let's lean on them as this possession guy, especially our slot possession guy.
So the worst returns, and I know we're trying to be careful with players that simply just
haven't played a lot, but this one I think speaks to just that the player is, hasn't shown enough
to play.
I went with Landon Jackson, the third rounder on the bills.
And why I say this is, as you see, he's only played 15.
snaps against the run, 12 pass or snaps no production.
The bill's front is not good this year.
The bills need these front seven defenders they drafted this year,
at least in the first four rounds,
to at least be rotational contributors.
And they don't even most of the time think Landon Jackson can be active right now.
He's been inactive, I think, at least four times or five times.
but just yeah five five of the seven games but to me Trevor it's just you look at this situation
and they need more from him even if it's a severely limited role can you be a heavy
handed edge defender or is there some kind of pass rush situation that we can put you on the
field but the fact that Brandon Bean used the top 75 pick on this guy for a defense that's
looking for all able bodies right and Michael Hoyt's coming back now so I
I just don't think it's going to happen for Landon Jackson this year.
I'd be wildly disappointed by this pick if I was a Bill's fan.
I like Jackson too.
So this is obviously a little disappointing.
And I agree with you.
I mean, I don't disagree with any of the things that you sent.
Michael Hoyt looked pretty good this past weekend.
So I don't think they're going to be in any sort of rush to get him off the field.
He was given Yash and Iman all sorts of fits on the right side of that Panthers offensive line.
So, yeah, I mean, when you pick third rounders, it's not like you expect them to immediately get on the field.
but I think the bills have had opportunities for him
to at least be a rotational guy
and he hasn't been, it seems like.
Yeah.
Okay.
My best return in the third round,
sorry to do it again.
It's Buccaneers cornerback.
Yeah, I didn't right.
It is.
It is.
It is.
It absolutely is.
He was cornerback 10 in this draft.
He's playing like an absolute stud.
362 defensive snaps. He's got 69.3 overall defensive grade, but he's got an 81.4
run defense grade specifically when playing from that slot alignment, 264 snaps in the
slot. Playing as a slot corner as a rookie is such a difficult job because you're not just
covering the third best wide receiver on the team anymore. That's not what the slot is all
about. You're facing wide receiver ones. You're facing big wide receivers. You're facing fast
wide receivers. You're facing tight ends. You're facing all sorts of basically
any way that the offense wants to manipulate space, they're putting those players in the
in the slot. And oftentimes they're emphasizing how they are building offensive plays around
getting those players in space in the slot. And Jacob Parrish has had to cover a lot of those
players. And he's taken his lumps in coverage. Yeah, a little bit here and there. But he has
certainly been able to hit back as well. I think that he's got both good plays and bad. And
then as a run defender, man, he has been excellent this season, given the fact that it's the first
eight games of his college career. Remember, he played outside corner when he was at Kansas
state. And now he's playing in the slot full time for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who have gone
through some injuries with corners on the outside in and out of the lineup as well.
So a lot has been put on this guy's play, and he has just been excellent.
Todd Bowles demands so much of that player who plays in the slot.
And Jacob Parrish has been up to the challenge in every way.
So Parrish to me has been phenomenal.
I didn't want to sound too biased on this show picking two Buccaneers,
but Emeka Buka and Jacob Parrish are both players who I think are playing some of the
best ball out of any rookie in this entire class.
No, I, you know, I sign off on this one.
This was one of my gems in the draft.
Adam as a top 60 player, I think the bucks knocked this one out of the park.
The biggest thing was that if you were taking him, you had to project that he would,
he would successfully move inside because you knew at his size,
he was not going to continue to play on the outside consistently.
But when you look at the athlete, how much of a gnat he was around the ball and how physical he can be, it was a pretty safe bet to think he could do it.
And the DNA, track speed, young prospect, it feels like Todd Bowles kind of has his new Buster Screen.
Buster Screen played his best football under Todd Bowles when, and it's the same exact kind of, you know, player profile.
I think that is a, I think that's a good shout out.
I think that you just, you need a very good starting caliber corner in the slot.
You really do.
And a lot of people are shouting out Noel Williams, who Noel Williams has also played
well for the Kansas City Chief.
I'm not taking anything away from him there, but he's only played 96 snaps.
And I think volume goes into this a little bit.
Again, we're talking about early returns here.
And Noel Williams, he's graded super well in our system as well, 79.6 defense
grade, 86.6 coverage grade.
Like I thought Noel Williams also landed in a.
really good spot when he landed in Kansas City because this is the type of corner that Steve
Spagnolo loves to use. They're these bigger, longer, more physical type of corners. And it's really
only been about a four game sample size for him where he's played consistently. And I think
the last two games he has played, he hasn't been as impactful, but it's not like he has been
bad. It really is just a volume thing where Parrish has played, what was it, almost 400 snaps now at
this point, almost 400 snaps, and William and Noel Williams just has not played 100.
But I think it's a good shout out from the chat. It's a really good shout out from the chat
that Noel Williams is playing fantastic. So before we go through the third round and we'll talk
about some other guys who have played well, guys who have not, the worst early returns for me in the
third round come from the San Francisco 49ers and linebacker Nick Martin, who was the third
round pick at pick number 75. He was the fourth linebacker, off ball linebacker, taking
in the class. He has not played. Zero defensive snaps.
Which is wild. And he is not hurt, at least from, I could not research anything about him
being hurt. He was a healthy scratch for the first six weeks of the season. And the reason
why I put him on this list is because he's had opportunities to play where Fred Warner
goes out for the year. He's not the next man up. Tatum Bethune is, who is a seventh round
pick from the year before.
D. Winters gets hurt this past game.
They put Curtis Robinson in the game.
Curtis Robinson has bounced around the league a little bit and he was an undrafted
linebacker in 2021.
You drafted Nick Martin in the third round.
And it was regarded by the way as a massive reach at the time.
I had me, let me, I'm going to find the consensus board.
I remember I was sitting there like, excuse me?
No, I couldn't believe it.
I think he was, I think he was ranked like 224 for me on my board.
Okay.
Maybe he was higher.
Let's see.
Let's go on the fly here.
Where was, where was this?
I don't even know if, uh, 2025.
Let's see, position linebackers.
I had Nick Martin.
I had Nick Martin 3.07.
on my board. Now, because of how fast he is, he got drafted in the six or seventh round.
I would have been like, yeah, totally get it. Totally get it. Totally fine. But to draft him in the third
round at 75, and again, we're not saying that like the guy's career is completely over, but you draft
a player in the third round, he can't be that big of a developmental player for you that your two
starting linebackers get hurt and he's not even playing a single snap he didn't play a single snap
so that's just that it's crazy to me how how that ended up playing out where you're drafting a guy
who has the opportunity to play in out of the third round and he's getting zero snaps in this game
you had him outside the top 300 i had him at 220 okay the consensus board on nfl mock draft database
had him at 170, they say they combine about 299 big boards.
They use mock drafts, all this kind of stuff.
And he went in the top 100.
We were, I know that we as a show were lower on Nick Martin.
Very clearly, wow.
And look, man, he's hyper athletic, but he's smaller.
This is what Salah does, though.
Like, he's just going to take that guy, and it's either going to turn into Quincy Williams,
scrap heap waiver wire claim to all pro or no returns at all.
It's hard.
It's hard.
I just couldn't believe it.
I'm with you.
It was actually one of the most shocking picks of me to the whole draft.
Yeah, truly.
Okay.
Any other players to shout out in the third round?
I actually thought this was one of the hardest one during the entire exercise.
I had a lot easier of a time with the rest.
The third round, it was very difficult.
Harold Fanon, obviously.
a really good shout-out.
Phenomenal returns there.
Noel Williams, we already shouted out.
He was on my list there.
He needs to play more.
Josiah Stewart, I think, has played well.
I don't think he's played a ton.
No, he hasn't, but he's had some moments.
He's played well.
Xavier Watts has had really good moments as well.
It's a good call on Caleb Johnson.
He, I mean, how he just, they had him on kick return to start the season.
I just.
Jonas Sanker, great call out.
He gets no love because of where he's playing,
but he's been really, really good.
I like Sanker.
I had Sanker, where did I have him?
Hold on.
I still have this up.
I felt like I was higher on Sanker than most people.
I had him 113.
So he even got drafted a little bit higher than I had him on my board,
but I thought he was a really solid football player,
but you're right.
He's playing well as well.
That's clearly a player that we had Hive Mind on.
I had him 116.
There you go.
The tape was good, though.
So, like, it's one of those where it's the tape is good.
And then nobody cares about the player.
It happens.
There's so many players in each draft.
Yeah, yeah.
Super chats.
We want to run through some super chats before we get to round four.
Yeah, we got 19 of them.
So here we go.
Yeah, a bunch.
Mission $2 super chat asking, what do you guys think of Roger McCreary to the Rams?
I guess if you want to make a move.
But like McCreary's been up and down for the Titans.
I don't really know how, I don't know how much that move is the needle for the Rams.
even though they have a quarterback need.
Contract year form, Titans wanted something.
Rams at that price, it's definitely worth it.
Steve, thank you for the super chat.
Trevor is the DJ Lagway of tight ends.
Thank you?
Yeah, I don't know.
Maybe.
Forceman 47 with the $5 super chat.
Love the show.
You guys are awesome.
One request, please give the Browns.
The Bengals fifth from the Flacco deal gets old needing to get it each mock.
There you go, Trevor.
Okay.
All right.
I'll try to shout that out.
Uh, sometimes when it's not specified from the trades, uh, we're slow on it.
But I will, I will try to make sure that I can confirm that for everybody.
And we can get that, uh, trade made, um, say $8 super chat, long time addict.
Backed by Big P.
Big Peter, of course.
Uh, what do you guys think of the stock of Trinidad Chamlas?
Connor Wegman and Marcel Reed.
So Trinidad Chameless, uh, I think is really fun.
But he's just small.
I have him as like a fourth, fifth round quarterback just because I think he does a lot of
things really well but he's just he's small connor weggman going into the season i had him you know
like a sixth round pick he's been playing better so i really have to go back and watch him but um
i i i think i started with him as a sixth rounder we'll see where he ends up and then marcel reed
he won't i i haven't i haven't watched his full scouting report i think that's probably that
that's the best that's the best answer that i have i've only i've literally only watched marcel reed live
I have not done his full scouting report.
And so I think it would be disingenuous for me to super athletic.
Really nice arm.
Oh, man.
He is some kind of athlete.
But also rail thin.
So I feel like the NFL is going to do the same thing that it did with Jaden Daniels a little bit.
He's a red shirt sophomore.
I think Reed should play at least another year or two.
Yeah.
Axel, thoughts on Gray's Able.
Seattle's offensive line is finally playable this year.
Yeah, I think that Grace Able went into the perfect situation with Clint Kubiak,
playing more of that mid and outside zone scheme.
I think Zabel has been fine.
I think he's taking his lumps a little bit,
but I think he's right at home in that, in that offense.
I think it's only a matter of time before he gets more and more consistent and the
grades and everything, you start see it going up.
So I think he's been, I think he's been good.
For us at Eggshells, thank you for the $2 super chat.
Thank you, thank you.
Alec Ovan, $3 super chat.
Thank you.
Jonah got to be the worst trade up pick of this draft.
I mean, he made the show today.
It was absolutely a tough one.
Stephen, thank you for the super chat.
Excuse me, if you already answered this.
Who will improve their draft return on investment most from this point forward?
Oh.
Tyler Shuck has a chance right now.
I mean, obviously he does.
I don't think it's going to be him, but he has such an opportunity starting now.
Mason Graham has been okay.
Okay.
He's just been okay.
And I think he might be an answer there.
Travis Hunter.
Travis Hunter, but I think Travis Hunter is at least played well.
They just don't know.
They still don't know exactly what to do with it.
yeah but return on investment yeah a long way to go right now i think that's i think that's a jaggs thing
much more than it's a travis that's very fair yeah i the answer to that question i think is either
mason graham or colson lovelin that would be my answer to that you know who's a quiet one
that they're going to need him soon travion henderson yeah yeah and he played better this weekend
finally they acted like they didn't even want to see him on the field for a month uh frosted
day shells the iron uncrustable has won my house is gone
what they put the iron uncrustable in the microwave right right yeah it's true
i almost forgot our own bit carson five dollar super chat long time addict here uh longer time
unemployed we'd love to see the boy mike renner on the show we do got to get runner on
the show yeah we the renter does the guest mock draft series yeah we'll have quite the
Rolodex, I think, this year.
100%.
Big T. Thank you for the super chat.
Go, Finns.
Still need to blow it up and start a new.
Hey.
You're right.
When you're right, you're right.
Jay Bergs, thank you for the $10 super chat.
Drake May.
When you're right, you're right.
I agree.
I could not agree more with Jay Berg.
Very, very good.
Holy smokerunies.
Aiden, thank you for the super chat.
Oh, is that a different currency?
Am I just an idiot?
I don't know.
It is, but I don't know what that comes out to.
Same.
It says 180, which is a lot.
Could be $5.
Could be $600.
$100 could be $180.
True.
We don't know.
Aden's tuning in from Tel Aviv, hello out there,
where people care way less about hand hygiene.
Love the show.
I didn't know that.
Any chance you'll do a throwback on slower developing guys,
maybe 2024, as Troy Franklin officially arrived,
or do you still need to see more?
It's been really nice to see Franklin go from his rookie year summer.
I think everybody was like, oh, this guy can't even be active.
Right.
So now a legit contributor to the Broncos receiving course that you got for a fourth rounder.
Yeah, I agree.
I think that, uh,
He's looking a lot better.
He is definitely looking a lot better, which is nice because you figured that the chemistry
that he had built in with Bo Nix that it was going to blossom a little bit sooner.
But it's finally manifesting in his little bit more consistency.
So, okay, we will get to the rest of the super chats at the end of the show.
Let's do the fourth round, though.
Let's go best and worse, Connor.
What do you got?
Yeah, so there's a very obvious choice here.
But he's your guy, Trevor, and I want you to get to him.
So I went with Elykeyeo Manor, the Titans wide receiver from round four, pick 136 in the draft.
This is another one that we talk about the player for months, really a year.
He was part of summer scouting that year.
You just feel like typical second round wide receiver, big body possession guy.
If he even had some questions third round, he falls all the way to day three.
And I know it hasn't been pretty for the Titans offense, but they had all these bodies at wide receiver.
with bigger investments in them than I.O. Manor.
And he has earned playtime and targets.
And you see the ability to track the ball, win the ball in contestant situations,
be a power slot.
He's already Cam Ward's guy.
And I think it's only going to get better for I.O. Manor.
So I think the returns for a fourth round wide receiver for him with the Titans
has been really, really good.
And I'm excited to watch them grow together.
Yeah, Josh said in the chat, wrong Titans wide receiver.
In my opinion, D.K. has been our best offensive weapon.
And I think both of those are really good shoutouts, to be honest with you.
And I think that the Titans are still missing a,
I think the Titans are still missing a wide receiver one.
I really do feel that way.
And once they get a wide receiver one, you know,
whether it's Jordan Tyson or maybe somebody in free age and trading for somebody,
like whatever it is, whenever they get that wide receiver one,
I think everything else will follow, will fall into place.
I-O. Manor can be your outside wide receiver and your wide receiver two.
D.K. can be your slot guy and you could put him,
and Gunner Helms sort of in the slot and mix and match there with those two players,
but they still need that wide receiver one because Elke I'maynor,
he's been exactly what I thought he was going to be.
I agree.
Now, right now, they kind of need him to be like more,
and I think that's unfair to him.
Like, they kind of need him to be a wide receiver one.
And I don't think he's quite that caliber.
But I did say, and I have said this throughout the scouting process,
I think he's a solid wide receiver two in the league.
And so whenever they get that next guy, I.O. Manor is going to be legit.
got that long speed for you. He's got good contested catchability. He can run the whole route
tree. I just, he block his ass off for you. Like you saw at Stanford. So to me, he's been exactly,
he has been exactly why you and I said after the draft, how did this guy go in the fourth
route? So both him, honestly, both him and and Shimmerade, D.K., the wide receivers from Tennessee,
have been, had been great and have given them really good returns. But to answer that, D.K.'s had a
really good two weeks.
So the reason I went with I.O. Manor getting more love is I.O. Manor has gotten seven
targets out of the, we have fourth rounder and you're getting seven targets the first week of
the season on. Right. That's the best returns. D.K. could be the better answer at the end of
the season. And I hope, I hope he plays that way. Josh, what was I missed it?
Said more like Elicio Major.
Oh, very good. The worst returns. Yeah.
talk about one team that
logical thing and picked a good wide receiver in the fourth
round and then a team that needed
a number two, number three,
and number four wide receiver that took
Arian Smith in the fourth round.
That's the Jets. This is the worst return of round four.
And I don't even blame Arian Smith.
Let's just be very fair to Arian Smith right here.
Nobody had him as a fourth round player.
I didn't know anybody that had him as a fifth round player.
I would say consent.
was seventh round UDFA, and the Jets who desperately needs somebody
that has some kind of floor as a rookie, like Tori Horton or Elico Manor.
I mean, I like Chimre D.K. better.
All they have is Garrett Wilson, and then it's a cast of characters.
That's Josh Reynolds, Tyler Johnson, who played very well yesterday.
Shout out to Tyler Johnson.
Alan Lazzard.
They take Aaron Smith and put him in a situation that he's not equipped to handle.
And he hasn't been able to do anything.
Even the one deep ball that he got basically hit him two weeks ago against the Panthers,
which is his problem.
He doesn't finish plays in contested situations or even when he has a step.
So it's been, it's been exactly as expected.
And I don't blame Aryan Smith.
I blame the Jets for going so far off consensus at a major need.
Yeah.
And it's been, once again, like, hopefully a learning lesson for Darren Mugi,
because this was honestly right now looking like one of the worst picks of the trap
when you factor in who they didn't take as much as who they did take.
Yeah, because who were the wide receivers drafted after him?
Well, we just went through one in Iow Manor.
Yeah, Iyo Manor was after him.
Tori Horan.
Tori Horton was after him.
Hold on.
I'll pull it up here in a second.
Okay.
Jalen Lane, Jalen Royals, Elk, I.O. Manor,
Kianre Lambert Smith, Tori Horton, Tess Johnson,
Kanaana, Mumpfield, guys like that.
So, yeah, I mean.
Jimmy Horn has had some moments for Carolina.
Yeah, yep, yep, yep.
Basically, like almost if they took any of the other guys,
that's what's crazy.
Yeah.
It's not it.
This isn't cherry picking.
This is saying you took a guy over 10 other guys that would have been better.
And it went exactly how anybody would have said.
Yeah.
I think there are some really good choices in the fourth round here for guys that have
given you good returns.
turn on an investment. We mentioned I.O. Manor. We mentioned shimmer ADK.
Dion Walker for the bills has been good. Now, again, we sort of get back to our analysis as
draft analysts. Let's see. He was picked 109 and I had Walker. Where did I have Walker? I had him
I think lower than that. I had him 188. So I had him, I had him around later here. And he's playing
really, really well.
I wanted to shout him out because he's not my choice here,
but he is playing really well.
He's been really good for Buffalo.
I think Gunner Helm has been good.
Shoot, where is?
There was somebody else that I wanted to mention in the fourth round.
Shoot, I can you remember who it is?
Oh, like Woody Marks has looked good at times, obviously.
Yeah.
But, oh, Craig Woodson from the Patriots, I think it's showing flashes.
The answer is Camp Scataboo.
in my opinion.
This was the guy I was talking about in the beginning.
Now, this sucks because we're talking about this after the fact that he dislocated his ankle
and he is not going to play the entire rest of the season.
But this is the player, in my opinion, who has given the most value from anybody in the fourth round.
He, now when we go back to the Jackson Dart conversation about Dart getting in there and
sort of changing the offense, Scadaboo's emergence in the offense also changed what the Giants
were doing.
and I think from a rushing and a receiving perspective,
his value was so great for what the Giants really wanted to do,
the tone that they wanted to set,
and just everything they wanted to be is more of the smash-mouth football team.
And it's just such a bummer that he is now out for the season.
He's one of the most fun players to watch and follow.
And in my opinion, he was the best fourth-rounder of anybody.
And it just really sucks that he's now going to be out for the year.
The life that him and Dart together infused in that Giants team was undeniable.
And the fact that Cam was not only getting it done on the ground, but through the air was really big for a Giants offense that when they lost Malik neighbors, they just didn't have a lot of guys to lean on.
And they leaned on Scataboo.
So this was the consensus best returns on a fourth round pick.
The worst return for me in the fourth round is actually Deontay Thornton.
And the reason why is because, again, he's had opportunities that.
I feel as though he's let squander, unfortunately.
He was wide receiver 15 in this draft.
He's played 229 snaps overall.
53.5 overall offensive grade, 54.3 receiving grade.
He's played 55% of the snaps and has just 94 receiving yards this season.
As a deep target player, which this offense desperately needs him to be,
he only has two catches on eight targets of 20 or more yards.
They really tried to play him at the beginning of the year.
And for whatever reason, just the chemistry was not there between him and Gino Smith.
The reliability just was not there.
And very clearly, them putting him in the lineup at the beginning of the season,
they really wanted and needed him to be this type of a player for them.
And they tried to do it.
And they have now tapered down his snaps.
And two weeks ago, I think that he really just didn't not play at all.
whatsoever. And then the following week, I think he played a little bit more, but it was less than
what he was at the beginning of the season. To me, that's just, that's it. Even though he has got
more production than some of these other players, because he started the season, the fact that
they started him did not get the returns that they needed and now have since gone away from
him more. To me, that's, that's what brings me to, uh, the worst return here in the fourth
round yeah it's because there were such expectations for him coming out of summer with the reps he got
Trevor like you said is that you'd like to see i mean he was playing a lot over jack bash
a lot over jack bash or they took multiple they took uh two rounds earlier right right um
reuben hippolyte i think was in this this round as well yeah he was he was the fourth
rounder and he really like has not played at all at least if i'm remembering this correctly
this is yes a bad return for a fourth round pick and one that we were sort of scratching
our heads about when it was made in the fourth round but again i i didn't choose him
simply because it's like okay he hasn't really gotten work this season and the bears
have linebackers right they have no assuor they have tj edwards they have tremayne edmund so
it's a little bit like the Aussie Trepillo thing of like how hard am I really going to be
on you for not producing when the depth chart never really spelled out you having an
opportunity to produce even though I thought he was overdrafted that that sort of went into
the equation of how we got how we got to this point so all right round five oh before we get
to round five uh I'm going to talk to people about fabric but then and then we're going to then

Dot com.
Yeah, Peter Fabric, of course.
Thank you, Tyson, for fixing that for me.
Pro Peter, Focus.
Yeah.
it's Peter football focus you you always say pro Peter focus just flows better
so for the fifth sixth and seventh round we decided that it would be fruitless to have a
worse return because you're not really expecting these fifth sixth and seventh rounders
to go off or play early anyways yeah I'm not going to start screaming at a seventh rounder to
like get a you know you know what together so we're just going to do we're going to do
the best return for the fifth sixth and seventh rounds of course throughout all that we would
love to hear from you guys uh connor go ahead fifth round who's been the best return
ironday gadsden the chargers tied in i mean yeah man you know what's funny gadsden especially
lately well lately's been nuclear but you go back to week three he had uh five catches for 46 yards
You go back to week six, he had 68 yards, and then he popped off for 183 and then 77 in back-to-back weeks.
When he is playing, he is a serious weapon.
And now over the last two weeks, he looks like one of the best past catching tight ends in all football.
So Gadsden, it is a little bit of a recency bias here with the two weeks,
but he's also had two other weeks and he just needs opportunity.
And it's very, very for real when you watch this team.
This guy is a dynamic threat.
I mean, he is a, he is a glorified big wide receiver, but who cares?
He was that in college, right?
And look, I was nervous about him and I was lower on him than this.
I believe in my ranking.
So like, I'll absolutely be transparent about it.
But I looked at him at Syracuse and I was like,
Syracuse is kind of doing like the fake tight end thing with him where they label him as a
tight end and he sometimes plays in line.
he really doesn't. He's kind of just that big slot receiver, but then, you know,
does he separate the way that you wanted to, or is he just big picking on college defenders
that really don't know how to guard him? He's still at times struggling to create that separation,
but it doesn't matter when you got Justin Herbert throwing it extremely accurate howitzer
straight to your hands because he's coming down with him and he's catching him. So I'm not going
to take anything away from what he is doing in this Chargers offense. He has taken it to another level
unlocking that middle of the field area.
And so, yeah, man,
Gaston has been extremely, extremely fun to watch so far this season.
What do you got?
So the guy that I have, Buffalo Bills,
tight end Jackson Hawes.
Now, there's a handful of fifth round picks that are playing well,
if I'm remembering this round correctly,
specifically Mitchell Evans.
I felt like this was a coin flip between Mitchell Evans,
the tight end for the Carolina Panthers,
and then Jackson Hawes, the tight end for the Buffalo Bills.
Ultimately, I went with Jackson Hawes.
Their grades, their snaps, their everything is very similar.
Hawes got picked tight end 10, so I think that that was after Mitchell Evans was selected.
He's played 194 snaps.
He's got an 81.3 overall offensive grade.
He has an 80.1 receiving grade.
80.5 pass blocking grade.
A lot of those numbers are similar to the way that Mitchell Evans is playing.
And I said this on the PFF show earlier this week, that Mitchell Evans has sort of unlocked
the Panthers' ability to play heavier tight-end sets.
Lean into 12 personnel a lot more,
get a lot heavier on the line of scrimmage,
and just play that brand of football at a higher level
than they had been previously.
Jackson Haw is where it's not exactly as much of a necessity
because they have Dalton Kincaid and they have Dawson Knox.
Jackson, when I went back and I watched both of them play,
Jackson is handling defensive linemen in blocking situations better than Mitchell Evans is.
Evans is able to block out safeties and slot defenders and linebackers
decently well, but when he goes up against defensive lineman, he gets a little
pushed, he gets pushed around a little bit.
Jackson Hawes really doesn't.
And so that's why I ended up just giving him the nod, both of them, very similar when it
comes to an efficiency and how they're blocking, but just because Pause handles the big
boys up front on the defensive line a little bit better.
He truly gives the bill those three tight ends that you absolutely got to love in this era
where I think the NFL is leaning more towards heavy tight end sets.
Yeah, dude, he was my other option for this just because of what he does on the line of scrimmage.
And the fact that when you look at guys in the fifth round,
what you have to remember is it's okay to draft situational players in the fifth round.
If you have a plan for them.
And Hawes and Gadsden, while being total opposites, are the perfect example of that at tight end.
Yep.
Yep.
Let's go to the sixth round.
Hold on.
Let me just shout out some fifth rounders because the chat's shouting him out as well.
Like Robbie Utes and what you talk about, like being a situational like tight end fullback for the Seattle Seahawks.
Like he has been good.
This is, isn't the fifth round?
That's Torrey Horton's round, right?
So yeah, Tori Horton's in here as well.
So I think that he has played well.
Man, Chris Paul Jr.
That was a miss.
Damn.
I thought Chris Paul was going to be good.
Me too.
And yeah, that one's been tough.
Some of the shortest arm length in the history of linebacker prospects.
That one's definitely been tough.
I think that's it.
I think that's all the shoutouts.
Oh, dude, Elijah Roberts has been really nice for the bus over the last couple of weeks.
It's a smaller sample size, so I didn't want to give him the nod here of some guys who have played more this season.
But like Roberts in Todd Bowles' three four front playing that defensive end role, that four right defensive end role, he could be somebody that we are absolutely shouting out at the end of this.
a year as a guy who made a lot of noise.
So I think he's been fantastic as well.
Sixth round.
Go ahead.
Sixth rounder,
you're dealing with much smaller sample sizes naturally,
but I went with RJ Mickens.
Chargers again.
Mickens is somebody now that's gotten a lot of run the last two weeks.
And he looks to be making the most of it.
He's only played 81 snaps on defense the whole year.
But he's played about 70, I believe, over the last two weeks.
And Trevor, he looks the part.
I mean, this was somebody that I thought.
was a really reliable tackler coming out of college.
He can play every single role for you on the back end.
I will never understand why a player like this that played every role in college is a
good tackler, a good athlete, remember the insane vertical and has some ball skills, goes
in the sixth round.
I don't understand it at all.
I'm not saying it should have been a first or second rounder, but this was a really good
value picked by the Chargers that the fact they've already gotten two good games out of him
when called upon is good returns in the sixth round.
I was a big fan of R.J.
Mickens. So I felt like he was absolutely a steal for them at pick number two,
two 14. So I'm a big fan of this. I'm going to shout out Ravens defensive tackle
of Nias Peebles. Now, he hasn't gotten the lineup as much as I've wanted him to, but I even
went back and I watched some of his preseason stuff too. Like, I think he's going to stick
around in Baltimore for a while. I think he's going to be a really good player for them.
They always find guys like this. Yeah, they really do. He was picked 210. He was the 26 defensive
tackle taken in the draft. 67 defensive snaps, like I said, he hasn't played a ton.
But he's got nine positively graded plays out of 67 defensive snaps. That's a really high
percentage because he's been able to get into the backfield pretty regularly. 63.7
passers grade, 10.2% passers win percentage. I think he's got some serious juice off the
defensive line. And I think that he, I think he's going to be a mainstay of what happens on
that interior defensive line for the Baltimore Ravens. So I know.
he hasn't played a ton yet but i really like the early returns for him and what he could be
in the future for the baltimore ravens we got some other shoutouts from the chat um who oh jimmy
horn jimmy horn was in this uh round i believe yes he was another guy that should have got
drafted over arian smith warrenson the defensive tackle from green bay i thought about i thought
about him here as well. It was really between, in my opinion, Warren Brinson and Ania's
people, who I was going to go with here for them. But Jimmy Horn Jr., yeah, another shout
out there. RJ Mickens, obviously you mentioned if we're shouting out special teams, guys,
I feel like Jeremy Croshaw has actually been pretty good as a punter for the Denver Broncos.
He's got really high grades in the early parts of this season. So I think those are probably
the guy. Oh, Ollie Gordon has played well for the Miami Dolphins when he has been out there.
So I think those are probably the
And Borgallus, the kicker for the Patriots.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, Borgallis as well.
He is 12 of 13.
Tyler Loop.
Oh, I didn't watch Tyler Loop.
I remember Tyler Loop as a prospect.
I have not watched him as an NFL.
I didn't watch him.
Player.
I didn't see any of it.
Oh, yeah, yeah, the kicker for the Ravens.
Right, right, right, right, right.
That's why.
I was like, I was like, Tidal Loop.
I know that name.
You always a special team guy.
It's a kicker.
Okay.
All right.
Seventh round, who you got?
Bill, Jacori-Crossky, Merritt, the running back for the commanders.
And how quickly things turn, I think, understandably, with the fantasy community,
everybody wanted Bill to be the superstar.
But when you take a deep breath and step back,
this is a seventh round pick that had such a good summer.
They had no problem trading Brian Robinson.
That alone is a massive win for the commanders.
that, and I know it's not flashy right now for Bill,
and we're waiting for him to have that week
where he looks like a superstar.
But this is a great scouting job by the commanders
to get this player in the seventh round.
That, you know, you look at him, he's been rock solid.
And I know he had a tough two-week stretch here,
but even you look at, you know, some of the,
he's got 10 explosive runs.
He's averaging over five yards per carry.
his yards after contact per rushing attempt is 3.5.
He's not a zero in the past game as much as they love Jeremy McNichols.
So it's hard to do better than this in the seventh round, Trevor.
It really, really is.
And I think Bill's best football is ahead of him, you know,
the second half of the season for the commanders.
Yeah, he has been, one of us had to mention him, right?
One of us absolutely had to mention him for what he has been for the reason that you mentioned.
Tess Johnson, I think is the other obvious shout out here for the seventh round that we're not going to go.
with, I didn't want to have three Buccaneers players on here, even though Tess has been
fantastic and they've really needed him in ways like I talked about with him at Kibuka,
funny enough, who they drafted in the first round. But Chiefs running back for Shard Smith,
I think we are on the cusp of this guy being the true X factor for this Chief's offense. I really do.
So he's picked 2.30. I thought he should have been picked at least two rounds earlier.
If they would have picked Breschard Smith in the fourth round, I'd have been like, yep, good
pick. Love it. Instead, they got him at 2.30 in the
seventh round. He was RB 20 in this draft. He's played 80 offensive snaps, so not a ton,
but more as of late. 90.7 receiving grade. And this is where I think he really stands out here.
8.7 yards per reception average, and that's while having an average step to target of negative
1.8. So he is averaging about 10 yards every single time that he touches the ball as a receiver
that he is receiving a pass. He has five first downs receiving and three of those first downs that
he has gained as a receiver have come on first and 10.
That just tells you the juice that this guy has.
I really do feel like he is going to be an X factor for this Chiefs offense as we get
into the second half of this season and as we get into the playoffs for the Kansas City Chiefs.
I think he's going to be a real difference maker for them.
So outside of Tess Johnson, who has sort of been an obvious one for Tampa Bay,
I think Richard Smith has been an excellent player when it comes early returns.
closest thing out with 16 super chats let's do it brother all right Wyatt
charter thank you for the super chat Miami Dolphinson one word suboptimal imagine
getting finessed and trade by the Raiders yeah not what you want
Jeff Vionick thank you for the super chat Jacob Parrish I didn't get why
moved Tyke Smith but I've been amazed by his play I know he's your guy Connor he's
been sticky and a sure tackler yeah no he was Jacob Parrish has been
everything that the bus could have wanted and I agree I actually agree with this comment
100%. I was nervous about them moving Tyke Smith from the slot because he was so good at it last
year. And Jacob Parrish has been able to step right in right away and be fantastic.
Bryce, $20 super chat. We appreciate you. Love you.
Hey guys. I'm no Peter, but wanted to show the show some love and say thanks from the addicts
everywhere for all that you do. Also, thoughts on Altmire being the third best quarterback on
the field for the UW Illinois game. Bad Illinois game. Bad. Jansel Boston, good.
I didn't go back and watch that game
I just saw the score and it was like
Yeah my tape breakdown for NBC this week
We'll be on Denzel Boston
Just shredding that Illinois defense
Hell yeah, love to hear it
Arlo $5 super chat
Ryan Poles is on a crazy run
Four drafts, zero pro bowlers
Love Kyler Gordon though
Ryan's bus stops after free agency ends
Tony Lee
Thank you again Tony
You've been too good to us
Do you guys have one or two players over the time on the pod
that you're most proud of your evaluation
of them been here since your day one?
I think we should do a show one day, Trevor,
that we try to go like through five each of our biggest hits and misses.
Sure.
Yeah.
And we'd have to, to be fair to it,
we'd really have to go back to the first and second drafts we did together.
It's just probably too early for the last two drafts.
Yeah, I think so, too.
I would love to do a show where we're revisiting a lot of our old draft takes.
I think that would be a lot of fun.
Arlo, again, $5 super chat.
Parishes of Studs saw him play at Oath North against my high school.
Bro was locked down.
Feels unreal watching him cover guys like I'm on Ross St. Brown.
It is very cool.
It's very cool when you watch guys in high school and then they go through college
and then you see them in the pros and then you kind of get to go like,
hey, remember when I saw him there.
Did you grow up or play against anybody in any sport that ended up being like, oh, wow.
So I played soccer against Deuce Gruden.
Okay.
John Rudin's kid.
Yeah, who would turn into a, like a strength of conditioning coach?
Yeah, meathead power lifter.
Yeah, just just an absolute bowling ball of muscle and testosterone.
Was he like that then or he developed into that?
He was pretty, he was pretty jack then because I think he was the starting quarterback
and middle linebacker for their football team.
And I played him in soccer and he was their striker of, shout out Berkeley prep in Tampa.
he he was the only guy on the team who was athletic at all whatsoever and we whooped their candy
ass like eight to nothing we like mercy ruled that team but you could very much tell
that deuce gruden was literally the only guy who was worthy of being an athlete on their team
that's amazing yeah but i think that's i think that's the only one i got so i grew up with stepney
dulcin who has been in the wmba for a long time she was the sixth overall pick we went to
preschool together and there's like an old picture of preschool where she's a
that's cool where she is literally towering over all of us which is the funniest thing
to look back at played against nobody like really famous like a lot of people that went on to
be good d1 lacrosse players or things of that elk but nobody like deuce gruden's a great
call out because he was kind of a meme for a while like this is john gruden's jacked powerlifting
son would not have out of my bingo card that he played football and soccer
Yeah. That's amazing.
H. Sanders went to a local high school that I was in the area for.
He went to Manatee High School.
I didn't go to Manatee High School.
So I watched him play in high school, but I didn't actually go up against him in high school.
But A. Sanders, pride of Manatee High School.
Okay.
Ross, $5 super chat said, could you guys do fix your franchise potentially on college programs with all the head coach changes?
We're not going to do fix your franchise on college programs, but the college guys, Max and Dalton, they do a phenomenal job cover and all that good stuff.
So if you subscribe to this channel and you don't know their channel, PFF, college football show.
They do an unbelievable job covering college football head to toe from C to shining C.
So make sure you go and subscribe to their channel as well.
The next one from Alec.
Thank you, Alec.
Never forget Ruben Hippolyte.
Okay.
Yeah, we never could.
Never can't.
Nothing happened to him.
We would never, yeah.
We just, nothing happened to him.
He just got drafted by the Bears in the fourth round.
Joe Martinez, thank you.
You're always in the chat.
We appreciate that.
So Trevor Pena is the shortest NFL prospect ever.
How tall is he?
I didn't think he was the shortest prospect ever.
There's no way.
I mean, he's short, but.
No, he's not that short.
He's like 5'10.
They list him 5'10.
Yeah, so he's 5.9.
There's been running backs that we've evaluated over the years that are listed 5-5.
Yeah, right, right.
Like truly, from the FCS level.
Duce Vaughn.
And Deuce was like one of the most famous ones.
There's been guys that don't really make it after rookie mini camp that were legit prospects.
Remy $5 Super Chat says Jack Besh not getting reps until a few weeks ago and losing starter
reps to Thornton is definitely an L hope he gets more reps.
I agree with you.
I thought about Jack Bish.
I kind of didn't really know what to do with his situation because it was like, all right,
there was a very clear path for Deontay Thornton to play in this offense.
not exactly Jack Bech with Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer and you had Jacoby Myers.
It's sort of like a log jam there for the routes that you would want from Bex or Bech.
So I didn't list him, but it's a good call out there.
I have been disappointed.
He hasn't gotten more action on the field.
Ricardo, thank you for the super chat.
Should the Jets have taken Warren?
This is a little bit damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Because Membo's been really good, honestly, really good at right tackle.
Where you go, okay, cool, you took Warren.
who's awesome, and I loved him.
And I actually thought the Jets were going to take either him or Mbou.
But who would be playing right tackle?
I mean, the guys that you would have taken on day two,
I don't think would have given you anything close to what Mbou's giving you.
And I think in a better pat, Mason Taylor's been pretty good.
The Jets really just typically week by week can't throw the ball.
Right.
The answer is probably no.
As great as Warren is, I think Mason Taylor is going to be fine.
and the Jets found a franchise where I tackle,
which is pretty hard to do.
It's a good conversation, though,
because Warren's just that great.
Would Warren look like this on the Jets offense?
No.
No, he wouldn't.
He wouldn't.
No, he wouldn't.
Sports of Baderina is $5 super chat.
Scadaboo was the one choice.
Also thoughts on Zach Vaughn,
not getting fined or even called for that hip drop when injuring him.
The hip drop thing is so difficult to call.
You can do it all.
It's now the NFL's targeting, right?
Yeah, I mean,
I mean, like, if I remember correctly, like, yeah, it was a hip drop,
but it wasn't like one of the egregious ones where you're like grabbing their body
and swinging yours and dropping your hip.
So I don't know, man.
I don't know how they're going to call that one.
I agree with them, though.
It was a bad game for the refs.
Horrendous.
In a year of beneficating, that game was, it stands on the podium.
Brother, the hurts.
The push fumble is just.
Oh, my gosh, man.
So we're so far away from common sense at this.
point. I'm so far away.
I'm pro tush push, but that kind of play will win the ban the tush push crowd, because if they
don't know how to officiate it, then the play can't exist.
I mean, not calling the false starts that the Eagles have done with the tush push is already
enough. And I don't know how you watch that play and the result is not common sense that
that that is a fumble on that play. And the fact that it's not means that we, there are way too
many rules and there are way too many seminars and there are way too many conferences and
conversations about how you're supposed to call this and and we're now at this point to where
it's i agree with you i've never been i've never been a proponent of banning the tush push just
because like oh it's hard to stop oh it's not a fun football play whatever like if teams can't
stop it i don't think that's really reason to ban the play but if you can't officiate it correctly
then you can't exist that and that all and is that fair
to the Eagles? No, I'm not trying to say that, like, that's the just way to do it.
But the refs got to get it together when they're calling that stuff, man.
They really do.
Chris, $5 super chat said, as a Bears fan, I'm so tired of drafting skilled positions high,
such a waste when our late round guys and cheap free agents play so much better.
Hey, we're only halfway through the season.
We got time.
Colston Leveland, Luther Burton.
Yeah, you can't say I'll never draft a wide receiver ever again.
It'll be fine.
Yeah, just tight-in offense, baby.
Just go back.
Well, that didn't work for them either.
That's the problem.
no they just haven't drafted enough yet fair double down never walk away from the table
peter thank you for the super chat have you guys noticed if a certain rounds producing more value
lately or is that more draft the draft with this draft i noticed the fourth round was awesome
yeah i i wonder trevor if there's something there of teams recalibrating after day two
and putting together the board and meeting the coaches and being like okay these are the guys
we really like in the fourth round that we're going to start the day with.
I don't know.
It's just a guess, an educated guess of why the fourth round looks so good.
Yeah.
I do think that you have a little bit more time to regroup, but.
I've heard horror stories of third round scrambles.
What do you mean?
Like the third round comes and it's like I thought that guy was going to be there
and now we don't have conviction because our day two players are gone and we can't
believe this.
Right.
Now, everybody is working from our day three grades, and this special team's coach wants
this guy, and the running backs coach wants this guy.
But the defensive coordinator says, I need depthed edge.
And they're all graded similar.
Now we don't know what the hell to do, and the GM's got to make a decision.
Vonte Mac, no matter what, you know.
Always.
Andrew 15.
Al-Qa Corley, no matter what.
I don't know about that.
Andrew, with the $15 super chat, this is a down payment for, this is a down payment to suffer
through Michigan State tape.
if you haven't already thoughts on quarterback, Aidan Childs, remember him from summer scouting,
but he has a Texans tier O line.
I haven't really checked back in on him.
I have a little bit so far this season, but I haven't done like a full three check on him because
what I've seen live, like I didn't really, it didn't really sway my opinion one way or the other
to cause me to dive back into the tape.
But obviously he's somebody that we'll get to before we get to December on the quarterback
rankings.
We've had them twice this year.
So I've watched a little bit to get ready for the game of the.
week. The offense is bad. The situation he's in. The opening scripts are very good, which isn't
surprising from the head coach. And he has not taken the steps as a player. Besides Nick Marsh,
who they have at wide receiver is helping him a lot. Yeah, he hasn't taken the steps you'd hope for.
I would say my eval on him is pretty similar to what I said about him over summer scouting.
If you want to check that out, I watch Childs for summer scouting. Hopefully you can keep playing
better down the stretch. Joseph, $10 super chat. Finally caught you guys live so I can send a super chat.
we appreciate you, Joseph. Thank you.
You all do an amazing job.
I found your podcast during the 2025 draft season.
Keep it up, fellas.
We absolutely will.
Brenda, $5 super chat after seeing the Ravens win this week.
I'm convinced that if we get rid of every ping pong table on earth, we will achieve world peace.
Maybe.
Not a bad idea.
Not a bad idea.
Colin, thank you for the $5 super chat.
Thank you.
Thanks for the work you guys do.
I think he means work, not walk.
Although I do, I will eat a good.
I was going to say you might be
I mean he might think that you're a mean
fried rice cook I'm not opposed to having some walk
extremely informative entertaining what do you guys
think of Matt McDoom
also watched Mike Hall in high school
Matt McDoom
what position is he
I'm intrigued
how is he not on the old names team
Matt McDume
Cincinnati Athletics
cornerback
180 pounds 5 foot 9 from
winter garden Florida of course he is and a senior previous school coastal
Carolina he is a senior I got to watch him if he's I mean I'm assuming he's going to
be at an all-star game so great tip Colin I have not seen Matt McDume hand up and I try to
get ahead on many seniors that are going to matter for the draft let's see what we'll see what
he's got hell of a name I got to give in a that's an unreal simulator just for
although I thought it was going to be a 340 pound two gap that's what I was kind of hoping
that's what I was kind of.
5-9 corner.
That's what,
I got to change the name.
Yeah.
Joel,
Joel said,
oh,
when he goes on PFF,
Traybore the wide receiver listed as 0-0.
Then he is.
Now the comment makes sense.
Now the comment actually makes sense.
Bull Rush McDume is my new road to glory
linebacker name,
Moonfish.
That's good.
It's actually pretty incredible.
Appreciate everybody watching.
Two more, two more, and we're out.
Jack Wilderness, Nick Harbor, any more refined compared to last season.
We always do wide receivers really, really early.
Trevor watches, honestly, way more South Carolina than me.
He's better this year.
Okay.
Well, that's a low bar.
Right.
And I think that he's draftable this year.
Bryce, thank you for another super chat.
Appreciate it, man.
Had to follow up my last chat with my prediction that Denzel Boston will be a top 15
pick on April, dude, his wide receiver.
Dude, Denzel Boston is awesome.
I think he'll be a first rounder.
We'll see where he lands.
We will see where he lands.
We'll talk playing Denzo, boss.
Yeah, yeah.
Appreciate you guys watching and listening.

We know what the cold open is for Wednesday.
I think Wednesday, I think we're doing another stockwatch episode, so I think it'll be
that.
I better never meet Chris Carrere.
That's, that's, yeah.
On a bus specifically, you better.
I mean, Chris, or you're never going to make it to school.
Oh, man.
Yeah, he'd never pick me up anyway, so it doesn't matter.
