Starting point is 00:00:00 Solar garlic aoli said, I hope we don't get peeper dong at the combine. You know what? If you're going to spend $2, that's not you expect it. You can't even take the subway anymore for $2. But you can get us to read that one out loud. $5 super chat. Said, which is the better slander nickname? Bryce Blunderwood or Bryce Underwhelming.
Starting point is 00:00:40 I think Bryce Blunderwood. probably more creative. It's more great. Bryce Underwhelming is like a four-year-old would yell at the TV. Yeah, that's true. That is very true. Hey, I got Bryce Underwood on my fantasy college football team, and so I am still believing.
Starting point is 00:00:55 We got to still believe. Have to. Yeah, you have no choice. Do you have another option? No, I do. He's my third quarterback. I thankfully have Camario Taylor as my main quarterback who scored me like 45 points this past week as he's single.
Starting point is 00:01:11 credible the quarterback fine for Mississippi State not a draft eligible yet so we won't talk about him yet but next year but man we'll have some fans looks fun cool kids got a cannon kids got a uh Tony Lee gonna need Connor to be the wriggler of the 2007 draft for the Jets not terrible first attempt we'll hope to improve every time what do you taking my top hat in my jacket yeah with your riddler suit jacket yeah yeah that's good that's good The regular bit was, I mean, it was. What do you mean? It was forever.
Starting point is 00:01:47 It's eternal. Dude, I had to explain to my producers at NFL media what the wriggler was. Because you guys, I love you to death for this. I really do. It's hilarious. You guys spammed all of the comments on some of Brett and I's first shows for NFL pro. And you're just like the wriggler already at it again here with NFL pro. I can explain.
Starting point is 00:02:11 And my producers were like, who, what, who is it the wriggler? Imagine, imagine getting called into HR and they're like, oh, how's the new gig gone? Oh, good. You might just take a seat? Do you want to explain this alternate ego you have? Is Chris Hanson running me at the HR? Yeah. And why didn't you take a seat?
Starting point is 00:02:30 You understand how this looks, right? You're sitting in there with the top hat. And he's sending me a screenshot card of Ruben Bain going 15th overall. all he's like you understand how this looks right and i'm just full regular attire oh no god dude also brother shout out robert patins it's unreal the man's been on a crazy heater that how he could just turn it into these people is i know i'm impressed i don't say that often i am i am by the way you see how this looks right by the way i saw um i saw there's another jake jillen hall movie that's coming out and it's a shame that i'll never see it i was going to say it's actually great for you
Starting point is 00:03:21 because it's one less movie you have to worry about seeing yeah it's true yeah it's very true uh andrew harbaugh five dollar super chap said hijacking the show uh opening to announce that my wife and i are expecting our third child felt fitting with the due day is the first day of the nflb wow congrats harbs yes congratulations to you and your wife your family um who the lads get the lads get a younger sibling, that's a lot of fun. Three, I mean, you can't play, you can't play man anymore. You can only play his own coverage.
Starting point is 00:03:55 Because you're outnumbered. You gotta teach the wife, the rules of match quarters, or else you're sitting in cover three and you're just getting nickel and dined. Yeah. Hey, as long as we don't give up any explosives. Pee there, poop there, broken toy there.
Starting point is 00:04:10 You better, you better learn man on demand real quick. So, anyways. Congrats Harbs. That's awesome. Yeah, that is, that's fantastic. Odd estimate, $10 super chat said, wait, hold on. Unfortunate news, boys, when I started watching this show, I was 6'54 pounds in August of last year.
Starting point is 00:04:34 Today, as of today, I'm fighting at 6'6-229. So tragically, I don't think I'm allowed to host the pod anymore. What a unit. Did you actually lose? 120 pounds, which congrats, 125. Don't shortchange the man. If that's true, congratulations.
Starting point is 00:04:55 If it's not, congratulations. I've been duped. So I'm either congratulating you because you duped me here, or I'm congratulating you because you actually lost that much weight. That's crazy. Were you Greg Johnson? Yeah, you might have been. Might have been.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Now you're trade as green. Now you are trade is green. It's true. Wow. Wow. Now he's got, now he's got to get their weight up. Yeah. Could he can't host.
Starting point is 00:05:21 Muscle back up to 250. Except their YT. Loving all the new upgrades to NFL stock exchange. Visuals absolutely phenomenal. NFL stock exchange sponsored by the chef in quotes big cookware. Big cookware. That's a good nickname. It's funny to give a nickname off a nickname.
Starting point is 00:05:38 Like I'm so used to calling Tyler chef that I actually think I'm, I need another nickname for something else. They'll cookware is a good contender. They will evolve or devolve whichever way you want to say it over time. So stick around everybody because we'll get more nickname as they come around. Tony Lee gives us $100 super chat. Oh, Tony. Genuinely, you're way too good to us.
Starting point is 00:06:01 Love the new look. Definitely fitting for the first 2027 mock draft. That was, yeah, what we wanted to do here. Thought the announcement was going to be the purchase of the NFL-S-E yacht. No, it's coming. We'll get there. there won't be an announcement there'll be but there will be signs there will be signs mainly that the show
Starting point is 00:06:20 won't happen no I'm kidding you thought we were late tried never showing up with the regular branding on the boat my wife that's your boat name we were yeah oh man and then the wriggler two yeah you might be right
Starting point is 00:06:40 my wife um was sending me uh TikToks last night and, you know, we're sitting there getting caught up on the TikToks that she sent. And one of them, she's, it's a TikTok of, it's just a massive, like, super yacht. Like, it's beyond a Bond villain yacht, you know, it's like, it's like a trillionaire's yacht or whatever. And I'm just watching the video and I just go, I just look at it. I just go, sure.
Starting point is 00:07:03 Yeah. Yeah, sure. Yeah, why not? I mean, if we had to, you know. If you got to do it, order it. Somebody's got to do it. Amazon, drop it off. Why not us?
Starting point is 00:07:15 Who is it? Amazon? Oh yeah, they're just dropping off my super yacht. It's the size of my cul-de-sac. BG, the kid, $2 super chat said, is there a pounder ticker? No, not yet, but we did say that the customization was very pliable. Pliable was the word of the...
Starting point is 00:07:32 There it is. The chef was so ready for this. Do you see what's on screen right now, Connor? Oh, my God. It's quite literally... The pounder ticker for the Carolina Panthers. He's quick. Big cookware is quick. Big cookware.
Starting point is 00:07:45 is quick. Nobody's quicker. Emmett Kilmer. The new it layout is like seeing Magnum at the end of Zoolander. It's glorious. Dear God. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:07:56 It's beautiful. Yeah, baby. That's what I've been waiting for. That was there. I haven't seen Zoolander a long time. I need to watch it again. That was an era of like, it just can't be replicated.
Starting point is 00:08:11 You had in such a short span of time a ton of hate. comedy movies that if they were made today, people would just be like, dude, can you imagine happy Gilmore getting made today? Not a chance. Well, I guess it, it's funny to say that because that Will Ferrell, the Hawk show series. I didn't watch it. I haven't watched it either, but it's, it's funny that I kind of just chose that one out of
Starting point is 00:08:35 nowhere. And it's like, well, they actually did kind of make that one today. But you know what I was watching on? On FX the other day. Dodgeball was on. another one what it what that's another one just that era just imagine getting that pitch deck no like I and it all works the bosses the bond the production boss would be like all right so when do the marble characters come in when do we actually make money from this yeah who's actually
Starting point is 00:09:05 how are you getting people to the movie theaters for this like I see um I'm uh I am Atkinson said imagine anchorman being made today no chance yeah it's just no way no and yet it's an hr nightmare and yet it's a pillar of comedy dante gave us a ten dollar super chat said i will not hear any positive buffalo talk from a fellow jets fan traitor i can enjoy a location and not like the team i don't know if he can't according to this ten dollar super chat who by the way dante is you can't see it on this but his avatar is a picture of what looks like the new york subway system so like like Like he's, that's through and through. He's loyal to the soil.
Starting point is 00:09:45 That's, that's through and through. So respect. Yeah. Respect. But yeah. I'm sorry, Dante, I let you down. D-Sodder. Does this mean the merch with the old logo is vintage?
Starting point is 00:09:56 Yes. Are we washed? It does. No, whoa, not washed. No, no, it's vintage. It's a collector. It's just increased in value. Yes.
Starting point is 00:10:03 Yes. We will have, we will be making similar hats like this with the new, uh, up arrow logo, but you guys love these hats so much. much. We'll do sort of the same concept, but with the new logo. And then we'll change the logo. Where is it over here? Yeah, on the side of the hat. So we'll be doing that, but we'll get to that eventually once we get to more merch sometime soon. Let's see. Hark, five-dollar super chat. Hey, champs. Still no 75K, but the journey is what really matters. That's very true. It's about the friends who made along the way. Unsubscribe just to make getting over the hill all the sweeter in the end, hashtag
Starting point is 00:10:37 pounder. Now, that's a real friend. Somebody who will challenge you when you need to be challenged. No. That's a well done super chat. Yeah. I think this is to Sean Allen. Give us $20 super chat. I don't want to be a Debbie Downer to start such a W episode, but I just wanted to say,
Starting point is 00:10:54 Happy Suicide Prevention Month. As someone who almost took their own life, thank you so much for indirectly helping me hashtag you matter. Well, Sean, obviously, that's... We've said this before, but the actual human impact that we have on people means a lot more than any scouting report that we'll ever read, any show that we'll ever do. And it's why we continuously talk about this community is the best part of kind of what we do here.
Starting point is 00:11:19 You know, sports are a vehicle for us to be able to be friends, be good to one another. And I think that you're not a Debbie Downer. This is a great shout out by you because I know that there's a lot of people out there that struggle heavily with a lot of things that they feel like, you know, they can't get out of. they can't get over and it's always a great time to remind people there's help out there there are people that are out there we hope that this show can be a light for you to enjoy brighter days and things like that so don't think you're debby down here absolutely not no it's my favorite super chat of the day so i really appreciate that and know that you have a home here and a community here and you know everybody in our discord that we we remind everybody to keep lifting each other up
Starting point is 00:12:04 in the discord um if you need the link it's below if you're watching this on you YouTube. So really, really great super chat and an important reminder. D now, five dollar super chat. First time commenter, long time listener. When's the next merch drop with the new logo? I got to get with our hat people. Got to get with the hat people first. We wanted to launch the, we, I very much appreciate that you guys are already thinking about new merch because that's awesome. We love you for it. I got to get back with our hat guy and tell him we got to update the logo. So that will come at some point, I promise. The next one is from Zach. who said up early down under meaning I can catch a live.
Starting point is 00:12:42 Yay! As a Bears fan excited for the San Francisco and Rams game in Melbs, let me know if you'd want any details, addicts. Ooh, if any addicts are traveling to Australia for the big game. A addict's meetup would be really cool. Would be really cool if there's anybody over there who's watching it, who's fans of the show. I'd be awesome.
Starting point is 00:13:01 By the way, Connor, I've been told that the coffee is incredible. That's the talk of town from everybody on the 49ers. I didn't know. I didn't know that either. I always just thought of South America. I know. Me too. Do I need to be, do we need to be getting coffee beans from Australia?
Starting point is 00:13:18 From Australia? I got to look into it. The more you know. Got to look into it. Odin $5 Super Chat said, had a family friend of the Jets running back Dominic Richardson. Sucks you didn't make the practice spot. Ah, man. Honestly, it does stink.
Starting point is 00:13:32 But to be honest with you, even getting to that level, unbelievable accomplishment to even just like get get considered for a spot, whether it's regular season or practice squad in the NFL. I mean, it's the 1% of the 1% of the 100%. So I hope that your friend. Having that jersey. Yeah. For the rest of your life is.
Starting point is 00:13:49 I hope that your friend still has a lot of pride and everything that they did to get there. Arod 13 Yank said is the best case for Mentsa, too. No, I don't think that's fair. And you're talking to somebody that's lower on Menta than the public I've realized. I don't think that's fair. I think that Menta can lean and do his powers of being a processor and playing at such a high level. And, you know, Tua post injuries is a shell of also what he once was as a prospect.
Starting point is 00:14:25 I know it's hard for people to think of that. I would have to really think about it and kind of like watch these two sort of back to back. But like from an arm strength comparison, yeah, okay, maybe the Tua comparison is what you're talking about physically. But I think Mensa attacks the game post-snap with a much clearer mind and a much clear vision than Tua has, especially over the last couple of years. So I don't think that that's, I don't think that that's the right. It's the best case. But are there limitations or deficiencies that I question that could run parallel? I think that's fair.
Starting point is 00:15:00 Scepter gave us $2 super chat said, what's the uncle alert to Corgi exchange rate? God, brother, that might as well have just been to different language. what you just typed in. No idea. Absolutely no idea. Jay Berg's gave us to our super chat, said Christian Dan Moore Money Gonzalez. What a world.
Starting point is 00:15:22 What a world indeed. Jay Bennett said, I'm starting late, so sorry if you already covered this, but why is my ABA not getting early round hype talked about in the early rounds? Probably more covered on our quarterback show. And Trevor and I had a pretty,
Starting point is 00:15:36 uh, not pretty, a very positive combo about my, on that show. I remember Trevor, the exact thing you and I saw eye to eye on is how catchable of a ball he throws and the way he plays by layering throws and the touch he plays with. I just think why he's not talked about at the top of this class is, even though he's got the size, he doesn't have a power arm and he doesn't have those quick feet for these elite playmaking kind of plays. Right. And that just naturally puts him in a bucket that's not at the top as much as you could really
Starting point is 00:16:08 like the player. Yeah, I mean, I think that he's a true pocket quarterback. He is a he's a point guard type of a player. He's got a good overall build for the NFL. So I think that he's certainly going to get a shot there. He's played a ton of college football now. Yeah, there are times when I watch him when I go like, man, like this is who like I kind of wanted Josh Rosen to be.
Starting point is 00:16:29 But obviously Rosen's, it's hard to like even bring that up because Rosen's career went so poorly in the NFL. But just sort of this, this point guard type of quarterback who not going to wow you physically but can get the ball where it needs to go. I felt like that was Rosen when I was watching him at UCLA. He flamed out, I think for multiple reasons when he got to the NFL, but sort of talent-wise and how he plays the game, that's sort of similar to how I see it.
Starting point is 00:16:52 But I like Maya, I just don't consider him. I don't consider him this like, yeah, you got to draft it in the first round type of type of quarterback. I just don't think he has those rare traits. All right, a couple more here. Sorry, what's the, no, what's the, what's the, that is the Swedish. Krona.
Starting point is 00:17:11 The Swedish Krona. 1,000 cold ones. Yeah, it's a little bit over 100 U.S. dollars. Very nice. My goodness. Matt, thank you. British Titans fan in Stockholm here, in parentheses, don't ask.
Starting point is 00:17:26 Now I kind of want to ask. What's the story? Longtime viewer. First time finally catching a live episode. Love that you were able to catch the live. Hopefully the 3 p.m. Eastern Times are a little bit more conducive for you there to catch some more episodes. Thanks for not.
Starting point is 00:17:39 mocking us an offensive tackle every year for what feels like a decade that's all we get mocked the titan struggle is real keep up the awesome content well i thought about it you did i did and i'm sorry matt i'm going to kind of keep thinking about it but not every mock hopefully it's going to be an offensive line so i'm glad that you enjoyed this one Ethan, what's up? Short Stack and Small Frye looking at possibly moving to Charlotte in the next year or so. Any recommendations on places to look for apartments? Hashtag MVP.
Starting point is 00:18:10 Yeah. So one, Charlotte's awesome. And I think that there's a lot of different, it's not, I'm not going to compare it to New York, but it has different boroughs around the city that can sort of like give you a different feel of how you.
Starting point is 00:18:24 It's a little, it's a little ignorant, but I wasn't going to insult you because New York is like, it's a world. New York South. Yeah, a lot of New Yorkers end up there. You're telling me. There's a lot of people that are moving here.
Starting point is 00:18:36 But I would say just sort of like, do your research or if you have the ability to, like come down to Charlotte for, I don't know, like a long weekend and just kind of explore around. Like get a hotel, rent a car for three or four days or whatever, and just check out the different neighborhoods. Because there's just so many different ways of life with all the boroughs that are here, whether it's, uh, Plaza Midwood, South End, South Park, shoot, now I'm forgetting. Like the north side of the city, there's the way east side of the city. Like there's just a lot of different ways
Starting point is 00:19:14 that you could live your life that I would say, like there's so many great places to live, but it kind of depends on what your speed of life is going to be. So my recommendation would be to, you know, come here for a long weekend. And if you do reach out to me, I'll give you some recommendations of things that you should hit, some food place that you should go to,
Starting point is 00:19:29 all that great stuff. solar $5 super chat said did dejz-lob go back to school as part of that settlement you don't hear about him anymore yeah i think he did actually yeah yeah i don't know if i don't think we're ever going to hear from him again honestly so uh andrew i don't think so either or that's till the court case andrews said when's the chad powers film breakdown i've never seen any of chad power same okay sorry sorry to disappoint we're in the same boat there uh is it good it got a second season i couldn't believe it got a second season i couldn't believe it got a I could not believe it.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Maybe it's good. The things that get canceled and the things that get greenlit for extra seasons anymore, I've given up on trying to figure it out. Maybe I'm the oddball in this world. You know maybe about it, brother. I'm just kidding. Larry said I'm ready for you all to PIP the Cardinals. Haven't played a game.
Starting point is 00:20:23 I haven't played one game. I think a lot of people might be. A lot of people might be. I'll read this next one. And then you read the last one here. Thanks. What? You'll see why.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Go ahead. Oh, okay. I just read further. It's okay. It's good. It's actually the right order. It's how things should be. $20 super chat from the Marv 52.
Starting point is 00:20:45 Small token of appreciation. Thank you so much for the super chat, honestly. Trev, I've been following you since the TDN locked on days and we'll follow you wherever you go. Truly. Thank you. That means the world. What if it all goes to hell? It could all go to hell as we.
Starting point is 00:20:59 talked about many times on this podcast. Connor, you're way cooler than Solac. Much better hair. And fun fact, my son's name is Audric. My goodness. What an addict that we have here. I mean, just layers of that super chat. Yeah, anytime that you can absolutely dunk on Ben Solac here on this show, we are all for
Starting point is 00:21:19 it. Truly, one of my dearest friends that I have in this life and a person that I love unconditionally. But I appreciate the dumb. I had such a great time with him at your wedding. Because they don't get to spend time. Like, I could see him at the few events, hopefully. But how often do we get, you know, and we don't obviously work together? He's a ton of fun to be around, Ben.
Starting point is 00:21:40 Ben's the man. He's, he's. Him and, him and John. Both your ex-podcast partners are just fantastic. I have an insane, like, run of podcast co-host. We John Ledyard, Ben Solek, and then you here on the show. And honestly, like, Brett now on NFL pro. Right.
Starting point is 00:21:59 Now you're with Brett. I have, I'm, I'm the luckiest man who's ever existed in this industry. It says more about you. Get to do it. Yeah, I don't know about that. I don't know about that. How about it go out on this one? Okay.
Starting point is 00:22:11 Solar garlic aoli said, I hope we don't get peeper dong at the combine. You know what? If you're going to spend $2, that's not you expect it. You can't even take the subway anymore for $2. So that is how you make the most of two. But you can get us to read that one out loud for two bucks. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:37 Oh, wait, this is the last one from Ty. You gave us $10. This is actually the last one because it came in the last second. Sorry if you guys answered this already, but what are your thoughts on the max submitting appeals to the NCAA and the college football playoff to overturn the result of the game, giving Western Michigan to win? We live in an insane time.
Starting point is 00:22:54 Yeah, I don't even know where to go. Like, there's so many legal things that I'm not educated to speak on. I don't know where this goes. I'm just following along. Like, is the clock that's, like, behind the scenes that we can't see? Like, has that been protocol the whole time? Are they just trying to say that? Were they just put it?
Starting point is 00:23:14 Was the Big Ten in college football, the NCAA, like, putting out a statement just to be like, no, no, no, this is how it's always done thinking that Western Michigan was not going to, like, take legal action? I have no idea. All I could say. It sure didn't seem like there was one second. left on that play clock that's all I'm going to say about it you don't have to say anything about it because you work for NBC
Starting point is 00:23:39 and you cover the big 10 so I'll say it sure looked like there sure looked like there wasn't a second left on the clock yeah it's I just can't explain how bad I feel for Western Michigan that did everything to win that game and who's their head coach
Starting point is 00:23:57 um oh who was like the star of the night until that So who is their head coach? That's on me for not remembering. You got it. Come on. Who is this? Lance Taylor.
Starting point is 00:24:12 Lance Taylor, yes. So, I mean, Lance Taylor is right in the post game press conference. He's like, we lost the game. It was a Hail Mary attempt and we left the guy catch the football.
Starting point is 00:24:21 Yep, yeah. Like he, like he, and that's I think, that's I think maybe the, I mean, not if you're a Michigan fan,
Starting point is 00:24:29 but like, that's the worst part of this is that he's right. There was another play. They didn't get screwed over and then not have a chance to make up for it. I think they got screwed over and then had the chance to still, you know, make the stop on a Hail Mary play. It just ended up being a miracle Hail Mary that went against them. And I just think that that makes it all the more chaotic and everything.
Starting point is 00:24:52 But what a wild situation. So I am very intrigued to see where this ends up going. Yep, me too. overturning a win, that is wild stuff. This is the last show that we are shouting out our friends. friends over franchise league football because the season is about to kick off. So if this is the first time that you're listening to a new show where we're talking about them, let's say you guys just won your fantasy league, right?
Starting point is 00:25:11 Okay, cool, great. Celebration, trophy, whatever it is, glory. And then what? Then what happens? What, you got to just start over the next year? Like, that's why dynasty leagues are gaining so much popularity. But this is beyond dynasty. This is another layer to things.
Starting point is 00:25:29 This truly makes you a general manager when you're playing. franchise league football. It is a contract-based keeper platform with a salary cap. It's that perfect combination of dynasty and then also auction leagues. So it's a ton of fun throughout the entire year. Blind auctions set the salaries for these players every single year. It's got a strict salary cap, multi-year contract. So when you hit it on a player and you go, you know what, I'm going to bid on this player.
Starting point is 00:25:56 I don't think anybody else really paying attention. I'm getting lower at a price and I think that he's going to be over the next couple of years. actually feel that reward. They've got a free agency, sort of week and set up to the league as well. So it's a ton of fun. You guys should check it out. It rewards skill and decision making
Starting point is 00:26:13 rather than just random generated luck. It's true team building stuff. Really cool concept. Check it out now. promo code MBFL 50 saves you 50% off when you guys sign up. And obviously the NFL season is about to kick off. So got to sign up for a quick franchise league football. or download in the app or Google Play stores.
Starting point is 00:26:34 All right, I'm going to start this off reading some of the thrift store finds that we have for these jerseys, okay, that people have found. Yes. That's a question that we asked everybody. Let's see. Jason, Reebok Chato Chosinko Pat's jersey. Wow.
Starting point is 00:26:53 That's a good one. It's a good one. Peter says a certain Mike Allstott jersey. Was it this one? that's nice because it might have been that one no that looks way too that looks way too nice clean and white for it to be yeah it's like spotless um managers nation said Tommy Maddox Steelers jersey at a T.J. Max in Sterling Virginia in 2006 it was my first jersey ever tj max you could find some jerseys some real random jerseys so he said found a Stephen Jackson jersey
Starting point is 00:27:29 at a county fair one time for $30. That one, it had to bring it home. No question. No question. How many can you get in my truck? Even though I think I cut him in the star bench cut that we had last week. But yeah, I think you benched him. Maybe not.
Starting point is 00:27:44 Did I cut Marshon? I don't know. No, you're right. You did cut Stephen Jackson. That put me in a pretzel. He'd break you half of that. Sports debate arena said, I got a brand of Jacob's jersey at a thrift store once and it was amazing favorite player growing up.
Starting point is 00:27:56 That's really cool. Nothing like it. Nothing like it. Parker said, CJ 2K OG Reebok jersey for $40. If it was stitched, that's an insane fine. The Reebok stitched jerseys were quite nice. That is it. That is an insane fine.
Starting point is 00:28:14 All right. To get to it. All right. I got the first one here from Cody Earnshaw. Hey, fellas. So Connor, I spoke to my fiance. She said you needed a curated playlist from her. She also told me to include.
Starting point is 00:28:28 had offers to be a D1 wrestler. And the wedding is in peculiar, Missouri, Montana? No, it's got to be Missouri. Missouri, yeah. M.O. is Missouri. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I played myself.
Starting point is 00:28:40 In November, 2008, love what you sickos do. So you remember you said you would DJ weddings, right? Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes. Sorry, I was like, wait a, me? Yes, you said that you would DJ at the wedding. Because I said that I would officiate it, and I can't even remember what,
Starting point is 00:28:58 the origin was but then you said you'd be in the back and you would DJ it peculiar Missouri yeah wow this is a town of 5,621 they got barbecue there the town's motto is where the odds are with you I would think they have barbecue are they talking about betting or they talk about like people being weird I think they're just talking about where the odds are with you I if she wants to make the playlist. That's totally fine. It's her special day. I'm just there to press play and make sure the people are having fun. Oh, so you're not even curating a playlist. You're just volume up, volume down, some strobe lights. It sounds like Cody asked for permission if the guy he listens to on the podcast can DJ their wedding. And the wife who had offers to be a D1
Starting point is 00:29:54 wrestler, so I'm not going to challenge anyone here, said, that's fine. but I have to give him the curated playlist. Deal. I'm amendable to that. Yeah, there we go. Yeah, that's fine. And Trev obviously is going to... Do the marriage.
Starting point is 00:30:13 Yeah, he's going to wed the both of you. No, he didn't ask that. No, don't, don't rope me into it. I'm trying to have off that weekend. Don't rope me into it. I usually work Saturdays and Sundays in November, but lock it in. Ethan, $5 super chat said, Connor on a scale of one to Aaron Rogers popping his Achilles.
Starting point is 00:30:30 How bad was the Pete Crow Armstrong trade? MVP could 100% host the pod. It's a slower burn. Wait, wait, Pete Crow Armstrong was on the Mets? Yeah, he was the first round pick of the Mets. No way. Yeah, dude. They took him in high school.
Starting point is 00:30:48 The Mets drafted Pete Crow Armstrong when he was in high school, which is common for baseball. And they traded him at the deadline for like a month of Hobby Baez. They didn't make the playoffs that year. It's a all-time horrific trade. It's not Rogers popping as Achilles because that was a blast to the chest, like a total, like all in one punch. The PCA one just slowly burns.
Starting point is 00:31:14 It just gets a little worse every single day. So, yeah, not great. I'd put it on like a scale of one to Aaron Rogers popping his Achilles. It's like a seven. And you got to think of the sports pains in my. my life for most fans you're you're pretty numb you're pretty yeah i don't i've just like yeah yeah it wasn't meant to be also the nix morning of tyler has really changed me i i hope it has i'm not as angry in sports as i used to be or like just and nothing ever works i'm just kind of like i'm good
Starting point is 00:31:44 like dude you know what i haven't seen any maybe it's just because i'm i'm not on like nix uh social media as much on a regular basis but like i haven't seen any of those guys like i'm hoping they're just off living their best life yeah yeah yeah I haven't seen like a single video of any of them like doing anything. I'm hoping that they're just... Which is good for them. I know. That's the way to do it.
Starting point is 00:32:07 Parker sent as an uncle alert and misfits it's a flow state. I don't know what these gives are. Yeah, we're not doing those anymore. Sorry, guys. Still lost in between said, Desjohn Love Jr. Better be number one on the border. I'm turning it off.
Starting point is 00:32:18 Well, we did get a junior to his name now. I thought he was just Dejan Love. Yeah, his dad played in the league. You didn't know that? Dejaun Love the fourth. Yeah, no. Trinidad gave us a $20 super chat. Wow.
Starting point is 00:32:30 Thank you for the super chat. I'm down here in Charlotte, and everything was great until a normal employed man noticed my pristine NFL SECAP and asked if I knew Trevor. Once I said yes, I was kidnapped and I've been trapped in this Safeway gulag ever since, hashtag Mondays. You know how I know that's not true? It's all Harris Teeter here in Charlotte, North Carolina. No safe. Right. There's no safeways.
Starting point is 00:32:56 You guys have some self-respect. expect. Scepter. Thank you for the $10 super chat. Shout out to all the adics competing in fantasy football leagues this year. We will show the fantasy football world what true competition looks like long live the NFL stock exchange. What a nice wholesome super chat. Wow. Routing for your fellow people. Fantasy football competitors. Just want everybody to have fun and score points. I don't. Tony Lee, $20 super chat. Tony Lee the legend. with the NFL season coming up, would like to get your opinion on pregame workout or postgame workout.
Starting point is 00:33:35 Post game workout work keeps me busy during the week and Sundays are great to take my time and it's quiet and I'm on the West Coast for games. Start at 11 a.m. Pregame. Because once football starts... Yeah, 100%.
Starting point is 00:33:51 No questions. I can't choose this anymore because I don't get home now from the city until around like... father and then i actually forgot that i'm also a dad now this will be the first season this will be the first season i'm a dad but not even factoring cam into this the routine is i i leave at eight in the morning i get home from the city at eight at night record badlands and then i watch sunday night football and then that's the day right so it's if you don't work out in the morning
Starting point is 00:34:22 before the games and even if you don't work like in sports like us it's still better to just have your day. No question. Eat as many wings as you want. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:36 Yeah. My Saturdays, because obviously, you know, just like covering, covering the NFL like we do on more of a Monday to Friday basis. Like, well, shoot, I can't even say that because you cover college so heavily now on Saturdays. But like my Saturdays, I'm waking up. I'm taking the dogs to the park. I'm getting back. I'm getting a good workout in. and I am like done before noon.
Starting point is 00:35:01 Like I am, I am sitting down at noon. That is how I want my Saturdays to be. I want to think I've already done the accomplished responsible stuff today. Now I'm just watching prospects live, writing down notes, ordering wings, or making wings. But yeah, you got to do it before. You got to do it before. Sports debate arena, $5 super chap. I've heard Dylan versus Colin, Dylan Stewart versus Colin Simmons, an upside versus safe thing.
Starting point is 00:35:27 If so, does that reflect a difference in what you to value Connor equals safe, Trevor equals upside? I think that you and I go back and forth about that all the time. Yeah, I don't think it's like a consistent theme with us. Which I think is, it's always fun because you have some guys that you look at through an upside lens. I have some guys that I look at through an upside lens and a lot of times it's different. I think in this instance, yeah, clearly like the way that Connor talks about Colin Simmons is, hey, this guy, he feels like he could go in the NFL and maybe not this second, but like he will be a good NFL player. Dylan Stewart, I could absolutely understand people who go, Stuart might get washed out in the NFL.
Starting point is 00:36:09 At this point in time, two years in, going into his junior year, yeah, okay, unfortunately, I think that that does have some legs. But the things that he can do and the potential that he can't have to me, that's just, that's too much upside to pass up, I guess. Zander $2 said, what's, uh, J.J. Smith's, rank amongst wide receiver prospects since 2010? I mean, who would I have had? Who would I have had higher? I would have had him over Jamar. Obviously would have had him.
Starting point is 00:36:48 That's the highest one I've ever had in recent history. You had, I remember you had Marvin Harrison, Jr. really high on your board, but I would assume Jeremiah Smith would have easily cleared Marvin Harris Jr. clears Marv and Jamar would have probably been over Marv too, but really close. Jamarro is my favorite wide receiver. I've evaluated since doing this as a job.
Starting point is 00:37:11 Yeah, would have had him over Odell. So going all the way back to 2010, I mean, obviously, Trevor and I weren't, we weren't doing this back then, but you're talking about Julio and AJ Green. That's why it's framed that way. I don't know who I would have, like, trying to actually bring up the spirit of this question, I think it would be either Jeremiah Smith or Julio Jones. it would have been that's what you're going to hear the most of i'll be curious it'll probably be even with jimar chase for me or he'll somehow surpass him as the best receiver i've ever
Starting point is 00:37:46 evaluated since i've done this which goes now for like 10 to 11 years 10 years 10 years yeah so good question it's that that special of a player uh w fair gave us five dollar super chat said love the show little question it's half time you're down 20 who coach player or other do you want giving the locker room speech also M-I-Z Z OU coach player or other you're down 20 Ed Reed oh oh oh I see what the question is asking I thought it was like would you want your coach would you want your player would you want somebody else like giving you get to basically pick anyone to pump up the team Ed Reed's a really good one
Starting point is 00:38:37 the I'm hurt dog is like my favorite speech of all time Yeah, going all the way back to his days of the U. I mean, I think the obvious answer is Brady. They did a documentary about the Buccaneers, just franchise called Raise the Flags on HBO. And I just finished it, actually. They got to the Super Bowl part. And the way the players talk about Brady's pre-game Super Bowl speech
Starting point is 00:39:07 is like it was genuinely like a, a timeless Yeah like it was just a timeless thing that nobody will ever forget Brian Dawkins is I'll shout out of Brian Oh my God Dawkins Any Dawkins coming out of the tunnel
Starting point is 00:39:21 clip is Yeah Never missed an arm day Never Never You want to read the next ones Yes let me scroll back up here Thank Tyler
Starting point is 00:39:33 Tyler's next Oh here we go Tyler man First Super Chatter Yay If you can go back in time to see one football game in person, what game would you choose Go Bears? I mean, selfishly
Starting point is 00:39:45 as a fan, the Jets only Super Bowl victory. But just, like, game in general. Oh, oh, USC, Texas. That's the game that I was about to say that everybody sort of is their default answer that question. I think Ohio State Miami,
Starting point is 00:40:09 what was it, the two years before that, is a good one. underappreciated one. Yeah. I think the Steelers Cardinal Super Bowl in 2009, the San Antonio Holmes catch corner of the end zone. And that had the pick six. It had the James Harrison pick six.
Starting point is 00:40:30 It had the crazy Larry Fitzgerald, like 60 yard touchdown that probably thought that they won the game. Bananas game. Yeah. I think that's a really good one. Yeah, those are the first ones that kind of like. like come to my mind. I mean, USC Texas, watching that as a kid, it felt like the biggest sporting event I
Starting point is 00:40:56 ever could witness like on television. Yeah, right, right. Like everyone in it felt larger than life. Everybody who was supposed to be in a national championship game, I felt like was in a national championship game. Yeah. And every moment was everything sports are about. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:13 Tyler says Tyler said go bears at the end So I'll shout out The 2018 game Where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Traveled to Soldier Field To take on the Chicago Bears And the Chicago Bears were winning
Starting point is 00:41:27 45 to 3 at halftime Don't have to wish That I could have seen that game in person I was in the press box Covering that bad boy for Pew to Report 45 to 3 at halftime Incredible Jay Vergs gave us $5 super chat
Starting point is 00:41:44 said any thoughts on Kaelin housed at Illinois The end of the year? I think it's a typo. Is it Hauser? Realistic to think he could work himself into a day two guy did not watch him. So I'm not sure. Yeah, I didn't, I've only seen a little.
Starting point is 00:42:02 I didn't think day two, but maybe he could play himself into that. Johnny gave us $5 super chats at Trev. Oh, where you were you still? Nope. I didn't need to cut you on. Nope. Oh, okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:42:14 Trev, since getting your dream job, how many shirts from, have you bought from Dan Flashes. Also, how much do I need to donate to Jumpstart the Air Aid Boy merch? We might just have to talk to Bryce about getting the design for that one because I think that is hilarious. And I can't pull out to Dan Flashes shirts. Connor can't. He's far more handsome than I.
Starting point is 00:42:32 And he's worn some Dan Flash adjacent shirts before and pulls them off very well. I just, I don't think I could do it. I don't think I could do it. Honestly, and I wear just about anything, those are even like a little too far from that. The Stankmaster, 99. Yeah. Congrats on finally being employed, Air Aid Boy. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:42:54 Thank you. If you and Brett have any disputes, you should settle it with a 1B1 Oklahoma drill. Yeah, we will. We will. We'll travel to the state of Oklahoma, actually, and we'll do it on. Yes, to make sure it really counts. The official, yeah, where it all began. Manders Nation said Javon Kinloaf for $2.
Starting point is 00:43:11 I don't know why. Manders Nation also gave us $5. Said start bench cut. players have had autographed my Javan Kinlau jersey Javon Kinla. All right. So I would start Javan Kinla, Benz, Javan Kinlaw, and then cut Javon Kinlau. Cody, $2 super chat. Oh, this goes back to the first super chat.
Starting point is 00:43:28 My fiance did 535 for reps in squat. Is your fiance Sammy Brown? Could be. Could be. Could be. That's, that's, I have no idea if that's true or not, but that's absolutely insane. That's impressive. Oh, Cadoza, M. Cadoza.
Starting point is 00:43:50 The Big 50. Gave us the big 50. Thank you for $50 super chat. Arch Manning is a tooled up prospect with more pro skills than a scout is looking for. But his last name makes people think he's Eli or Payton's level of processing. He is Drake May and in the parentheses also a crazy athletic family with three generations of pros. I like the road this take is going down. When we did summer scouting, I said Arch reminded me of a big.
Starting point is 00:44:16 Jackson Dart right now. By the end of this process, he might not be that. But that's what he reminded me of as a prospect today. I liked him better than Jackson Dart, but I was also lower on Jackson Dart. So I don't think. But also, we have another year of important
Starting point is 00:44:34 football left for him. Like, if he's Jackson Dart at the end of the year, I'd be like, I'm a little disappointed. He didn't show up. I see what you're saying. I won't, I won't, I won't disagree with it. Tony Lee gave us a $5 super chat said, Jets first round to mock draft all Notre Dame, Carr, Moore, Johnson.
Starting point is 00:44:51 What do we think? It's funny because those are huge needs for them. And all good players. And so is Kingston. Like you can argue the Jets who have three first round picks, like it would be really beneficial for them to walk out of the draft with one of C.J. Carr, Leonard Moore, Tay Johnson, or Kingston, Villiamu.
Starting point is 00:45:13 Why not all three, baby? Why not all three? fourth first round pick. Yeah, easy. Easy. We can do that. Sell the future. If they win the national championship,
Starting point is 00:45:22 just get all four of them at the press conference. Just be like, yeah, show him the ring. Sorry, I brought him in. They already tried that. They drafted Pons and as Cooper. They're like, hey, do you play in the Natty? Like, we probably want you on our team. And Omar Cooper.
Starting point is 00:45:36 Yeah. Yeah. All right, Sam Alley. Yep, go ahead. Well, you guys have positional rankings online anywhere. I like to make my own classes for Madden and would love to use y'all's rankings as a reference. I think Sam means in written form.
Starting point is 00:45:50 Yeah, yeah, yeah. I would love to, but I don't have anywhere to put it right now. Right now, it's just not something NBC ass of me. I'll have my big board in written form, but if I do position rankings in written form, it'll be before the draft. There might be a world where we have an NFLSE. I think we're kind of learning that we're going to have to go that way eventually
Starting point is 00:46:13 because it's awesome. You guys want this stuff. Um, Swartesian Bade Arena. Is Jeremiah Smith the perfect prospect that Jamar was? I think Jeremy Smith's a better prospect than Jamar was. And I think that's truly saying something. Like, tomorrow was, you know, and a truly elite top 10 grade type of a prospect. But I would, I would have take, I would take this version of Jeremiah Smith over what Jamar was coming out of college. I would. Jack Murphy. Connor, what is your background with lacrosse? I played for most of my life and ended up working the pro indoor league for three years. That's pretty cool. What trait
Starting point is 00:46:49 skills do you think are the most translatable from lacrosse to football? I switched from baseball to lacrosse in eighth grade. Oh, I played both in eighth grade and then realized that was never going to work. And then I played lacrosse multiple seasons throughout high school, like indoor summer league, all that was going to play at a smaller college, not D1 and realize I just wanted to go to school because I kind of reached the wall of like do you keep playing sports but at a lower level because you love it or do you just go to school and focus on school? Love the game. Wish, you know, I'm really lucky what I get to do, but because of what I get to do, I can't coach in the spring right now. I do plan on assuming little Cam plays lacrosse and takes the mantle,
Starting point is 00:47:38 takes the baton from me. I'll definitely love to coach youth lacrosse and maybe a summer league team. I wish I can coach higher level high school and stuff with this job. It just doesn't work. But love the game, loved playing the game, played a ton of the game. And that's awesome that you worked in the pro indoor league because that was probably a really freaking unique experience. So traits and skills, this is interesting because the linebacker on Oklahoma that went back to school is La Cros. And Owen Heineke. Owen Heineke.
Starting point is 00:48:06 And there's been a lot of guys like this. I think number one, the Twitch and La Cros. it's not always the same like yes if you're playing midfield or long stick midi you need the long speed but just the twitch in lacrosse in one-on-one situations is very very translatable the lateral agility if you're playing any form of defense like like i played a lot of d midi and think of it almost like a corner you're constantly working backwards against somebody that has a freaking ridiculous head start against you now fortunately you could hit them where corners they keep adjusting the rules that you could barely touch them.
Starting point is 00:48:44 In lacrosse, you could literally just smash them in the hands if you don't whiff. But there's a lot of different things. The hand-eye coordination, of course, is where it really, really is. It's closer to hockey. I think a lot of people, like there's a lot of crossover with hockey and lacrosse. But you're seeing a lot of high-end lacrosse players pivot to football in college and do it pretty damn well. Yeah, anytime I see that in the background, but work, change of directness or change
Starting point is 00:49:10 direction. I think reaction timing like you mentioned, hand eye coordination, like all of that, I think it lays the baseline for being really good at all those things. Johnny, $5 super chat. We'll speed up on the last ones that we got here. Call me a new, but I just found out Raola transferred to Oregon. Why go from a starter to the bench is he playing the long game with the new five and five
Starting point is 00:49:32 rule? I don't know why Rayola transferred. I didn't like this. I had no idea. Yeah. I do have an opinion on it. He's not going to play this year. So it's just a waste of a year. Yep, I totally agree with you, Trevor.
Starting point is 00:49:44 You get better at playing quarterback by playing more quarterback. Yep, yep. I don't like it at all. Ty gave us $20 Super Chat said, no, Evan. Tangsdall? Tangsdall is disappointing, but understandable. I don't know who that is. So.
Starting point is 00:50:00 I don't know who that is either. I need to educate myself. Also, Trevor's continuous low-balling of Messmaker is still somewhat back. point to me. I didn't mean my top 50. I had a 48. Tengsdell is a guard for Cincinnati. We didn't do a guard show, so admittedly, I watched really the top of the class.
Starting point is 00:50:19 I had Mestemaker at 48. There's some fat opinions on Mestamaker going around. So, I think that he is a nice prospect with good arm strength, good tools. Yeah. That I would like to see play
Starting point is 00:50:36 at higher level football that we're going to do this year. That's my take. Anthony, great boards, fellas. Did either you watch Deshawn Spears at LSU or Armando Blunt at Miami, two of my top breakout candidates for this season. I did not watch either of those guys. So I got to put on the list.
Starting point is 00:50:56 We'll write them down, though, if I didn't already in the dock. We will. Brian said thoughts on ranking, Quay Perich and Ben Roberts. I didn't get to Roberts. I got to Parrich, but, and we talked about him, and he's in my top 50, and I think He's a really great athlete. He just needs to not have all the really, really bad place. He's got to mitigate that and the floor's got to be higher.
Starting point is 00:51:15 But Roberts, I still have to get to. Axel Ron $5 said the football gods ought to smite the Rams for their gluttony. Hey, I think it's going to be fun trying to watch the entire rest of the league. Just try to beat the Rams. I think it's going to be fun. I think it's awesome. You get to watch two of the girls. greatest players of their generation play side by side.
Starting point is 00:51:45 That what's better than that if you're not a fan of one of their rivals. Yeah. Last one, Alan Young. How do you guys feel about DeMari Brown? I think this is his first year as a full-time starter. I'll be honest with you guys when, like I don't,
Starting point is 00:52:00 it's sometimes you'll land on a, I'm projecting this player in a bigger role. But some guys like this, I just wait until they get to actually play a lot more. Yeah. I think he started like four or five games last year. There's a couple of those guys along the offensive line When we were going through offensive line
Starting point is 00:52:15 And I felt the wave up We'll see you guys on Monday For when we go back to two days a week Mondays and Thursdays 3 p.m. Eastern See you guys out
