Starting point is 00:00:00 Keelan Rutledge is here. So to get Rutledge's name into the first round, I think, Wait, where is Rutledge playing? I think Trager has heard so much buzz about Rutledge that he wants to get him in the first round. So put him at 32 where they have a guard spot open. Right, well, he wasn't available at 32. It just got picked at 31. It's about proving a point.
Starting point is 00:00:21 It's not about the team picks. It's not sending a message. Welcome to the opening bell, the NFL Stocky Shade Show. I'm Trevor Sykima. That is Connor Rogers, joining you for truly one of our favorite episodes of the entire year. It is the Marathon, seven-round charity mock draft stream. Buckle up, everybody. We're going through all 257 picks of a 2026 mock draft with friends.
Starting point is 00:01:03 We won't be alone here. We will have friends throughout the show, so it's not just six or seven hours of just Connor and I talking. we'll have a good time on this show. We'll obviously make all of these picks. You'll have a lot of NFL draft analysis and conversation. But the most important part of all this, we're doing it for charity as well. Connor and I partnered with two different charities each this year.
Starting point is 00:01:22 So we did two total last year. We're doing four this year. And all of the super chats, all the proceeds, all the donations, everything will be going to charity this year. Connor, how you doing, my friend? I feel great. Well rested. Training the body for this.
Starting point is 00:01:37 Let's go. The mind is right. I moved around a lot this morning knowing I'm going to be in this chair for six, maybe seven hours. Yeah, who knows? We'll see. I can't wait, man. You know, I just want to shout out all the addicts again because this was such a success last year that you and I were sitting there and we're like, let's each pick two charities because we think we're going to have the funds. to do it this year, Trev.
Starting point is 00:02:11 I have no doubt. And that is just where I want to start as a massive thank you to everybody that rallies behind this. Yep. The whole reason why we're doing this even bigger and better and at a larger scale this year is because of you guys. And to be honest,
Starting point is 00:02:24 like last year when we did this stream, we really hadn't gone live very much. Like the show was very much like, okay, we would record it and then it was produced and then we would put it on the YouTube channel. I'd never been on camera before that. It was my first podcast. We did great for the
Starting point is 00:02:39 that. I can understand all of your successes in the industry if that was your first time on camera. But that was like one of the very few streams that we had actually done live and the response that that you guys gave and how much fun that was. It challenged us to do it even bigger and better this year. So we're very excited about it. The way that we are doing this is we've partnered with these four different charities. I have two and then Connor has two. I'll explain those in a second. But the way that we're going to do things, the way that today is set up is we have a goal of $5,000 that We would love to donate the charity from Super Chats, from you guys. And then we also have a goal for every subscriber that is gained during this seven-hour stream.
Starting point is 00:03:18 We'll donate a dollar to that charity from the NFL. See from from Connor and I. All of that we will do from our perspective up to $5,000. So like that is the goal. We would love to at the end of all of this have like $10,000 total, right? Like $5,000 that you guys have graciously given to do. these different causes and then $5,000 from us that we would love to match you there. So we will match whatever the donations are and the sub count is up to $5,000 from us.
Starting point is 00:03:47 And like I said, that $5,000 goal from you guys is double what we did last year. And just to be fully transparent, the way that things work on YouTube is when you have super chats that are given through YouTube, they take about a 50% of a cut from it. So like the number that we will see that we'll go up to $5,000, it might be a little bit different once we post the screenshots for you guys because we always want to make sure that you guys know where your money where your donations are going because we want to be transparent there it might be a little different just depending on the percentage of cut that youtube takes for us to do the show here on youtube but um that i just wanted to set that up
Starting point is 00:04:24 for you guys and i already see that we've already got over a thousand so i don't know maybe maybe we maybe we put the bar too low but we'll have a lot of fun here over the next six or seven hours but Connor, I would love for you to talk about the two charities that you are partnering with here for this, for this episode. Yeah, I'll start with the first one that's a repeat of last year because it's very near and dear to my heart and my family and where I grew up. And that is Tunnel the Towers Foundation, which does a lot of great things and raises a lot of great money for families of first responders that are affected by impacted by tragedy. And I know they've even expanded their outreach to veterans. in families as well because the organization has had so much success that they've been able to do that. But, you know, it's an organization that really spawned from the aftermath of 9-11.
Starting point is 00:05:14 So it means a lot coming from a family. My dad was a captain in the Bronx and the New York City Fire Department for, I mean, he was on the fire department for 36 years. Both of my uncles were on the fire department as well in New York City. So it means a lot. And they've been really cool to us as well, Trev. You know, they really appreciate what we've been able to. to do. And then the second one, a new one, another one near and dear to my heart, because it's in New York
Starting point is 00:05:37 here as well is pause crossed, an animal shelter. You know, I rescued my dog. She was five years old. Her owner passed away and she had nowhere to go. And it's one of those aspects that, you know, I know not everybody that people that aren't an animal, people might not get it. But like, when you rescue an animal, it is a very unique experience. And those are the lucky ones because a lot of animals, you know, might not be able to find a home. And these shelters are scratching and clung to do everything they can to give these animals time and help them find a home. And Paul's Cross does a really, really great job locally here in New York. So, yeah, these are two organizations that mean a lot to me.
Starting point is 00:06:14 And hopefully they mean a lot to everybody else as well. And I'm just really, really thankful to everybody that we're able to give the smallest, smallest bit of help to them. Garrett Greenlee in the chat saying, Connor's dad, dead ass, a legend. So, yeah, we've had somebody, somebody was saying, wow, we got the C. Rogers family lore here. with this one, but I love it. So the two charities that I am partnering with, one of them is Yellow Brick Road Dog Rescue that's here in Charlotte. Those of you who have been listening to podcast for a while, at least over the last couple of months, know that myself and my wife, we were
Starting point is 00:06:47 fostering a dog for a little while. His name was Wally. He got adopted, and Wally was, Wally was from the Yellow Brick Road Rescue, which just does a lot of great work, leans heavily on volunteers, and however we could help those people that, you know, give up their time, their space, their homes, their energy, everything for animals that really need it. That's something that's very near and dear to my heart as it is yours. And the other one, the final one, is actually from Andrew Harbaugh, from Harbz, who gave us this suggestion in one of our episodes. He said, hey, I would love for you guys when you do this stream, it'd be a cool idea to partner with a local charity of the city in which the draft is in. So this year, it is in Pittsburgh and the charity that
Starting point is 00:07:31 I'm going to go with, which was his suggestion, is the Children's Institute, which helps parents with kids that have special needs, whether it's daycare, education, just medical support, like, whatever that is. April is autism awareness month as well. So it all works out very perfectly with the Children's Institute being in Pittsburgh. And so it was a really cool suggestion from Harbs. Love that he shouted that out. Love the idea.
Starting point is 00:07:56 And that's the second charity that I'm going with here. So all of the money, again, that is donated here on this stream, which is. By the way, Connor, we have over $2,000. I mean, I don't even know what to say. Somebody, you guys, we already have 100 super chats, by the way. 100, which, funny enough, somebody in the chat said, so you guys are reading the super chats after the show, right? Of course.
Starting point is 00:08:18 We might have like, I'll miss my son's birth. We'll be here a while, but we will try to read as many super chats as we can throughout the show. Obviously, it's a long stream. We'll have a little bit of downtime. We'll be able to go back. I can't guarantee that we'll read all of them. But like we said at the top, all the proceeds here from you guys, the sub count that we have as well that will go up.
Starting point is 00:08:38 We will match it up to $5,000 from us from the show to give you guys just an appreciation of our generosity, which you guys have always, always stepped up for. So just really cool, man, really cool. Super pumped to start this stream. I mean, too. I'm a lot to start this mock draft. I got a little adrenaline right now.
Starting point is 00:08:57 Oh, brother, I couldn't sleep last night. I didn't sleep much, not going to lie. Well, it's because you were watching, you know, prospect 97, 98, and 99. And watching the Mets lose for the 90th day in a row. Nice combination while they're on the West Coast. You know what's better than watching your baseball team lose at 7 p.m.? Watching them lose at midnight while watching Guard 23. Let's bring the vibes back.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Shout up to the Mets pod. Where we have, where we get out. all of those emotions. But yeah, man, I couldn't, I couldn't sleep last night, genuinely. Like, I, I, I tried to go to bed early, uh, because I was like, okay, got to get up early in the morning, got to walk the dog around. Like, I got to make sure that, you know, we get a hearty breakfast. The thing was is that I had to try to, I had to try to go with the Scott Hanson, you know, Red Zone Daily Regimen where he's like, hey, I get a, I get a good meal in, extra salt on the meal. I don't drink water before a couple of hours before I'm about to go
Starting point is 00:09:57 live. You'll take the last bathroom break right before we go like. Like, I'm not, I'm out here building my day for this. I could barely sleep last night. I was so excited for this. You're absolutely right. I woke up and you know, my wife went to work because it's a Tuesday. She goes into the city on Tuesdays. So it's me and the dog and I'm like, okay, I got to do an extra long one, but it's getting
Starting point is 00:10:18 a little hot here in the Northeast so she can only, you know, make it so far. So tire her out, time that up, electrolytes, good baseline meal. There it is. Let's stay pliable and then get in the chair for seven hours. You're right, the sweet science, the sweet art of figuring this bad boy out. We're going to see how it goes. That's what it's all about. So the chef, of course, with us the entire step of the way, all the graphics and everything
Starting point is 00:10:41 and how we will navigate having so many different guests on this show as well. That's courtesy of the chef who put in overtime, honestly, to make this happen. So if we can, can we get some nonstop chef emojis in the chat from people just for the work that Tyler, our producer, has put in to make this bad boy. possible. So if you're on the keyboard or if you have a chef emoji, can we get nonstop chef emoji's in the chat here for the for the chef? Let's pull it the mock draft simulator though. Let's get to it and that is a great way to introduce the mock draft simulator that we are using for today. This is from this is from stick to the model.com. Jack, he
Starting point is 00:11:22 was the person who came up with this idea for Stick to the Model and I know there's a lot of different mock draft simulators that are out there, but Jack's been working on this for a while. I've gotten to know him a little bit better just through DMs. And honestly, it was initially an appreciation of me reaching out to him and just going, man, this is incredible. There's so many different things that you could do on this website. And we went with it because one, we wanted to support an independent creator who, I asked Jack, I was like, dude, you do this for a living?
Starting point is 00:11:47 He's like, no, this isn't my full-time job. And so just to honestly support and shout out somebody who is so creative and so dedicated in the space to create this website, this simulator, the depth that it has, the functions that it has, how you could also be your own general manager as well. I've really enjoyed using this simulator, and I really just wanted to support somebody who's really worked hard and had a passion to put this thing together.
Starting point is 00:12:13 So shout out to Jack and stick to the model, and we'll be using that today. Is anything more us than about 72 hours before the stream? We're like, how are we going to do seven rounds? But stick to the model, saving the day. Can't wait to use this, man. And make sure we click seven as I see rounds clicked on three before I have a heart attack. Oh, dude.
Starting point is 00:12:34 Can you imagine if we got to round three? Drapped over Mike McCarthy D-minus grade. Wait, he's working for Stick to the Model now. I thought he was the Steelers. No, it's part-time. No, it's part-time. Jack's doing this on his free time. Mike McCarthy's doing it for the love of the game.
Starting point is 00:12:52 Here we go. So I know a lot of people asked us, you know, are we doing trades in this month? The Dongulator on Lee. Now, now hold on. Hold on here. Hold on. I'm not going to call somebody else's mic draft simulator, the donulator. Yeah, that's true.
Starting point is 00:13:10 It's not donulator hours right now. Stick to the model hours. We've got it. We got to get, you got to at least get to 5 p.m. Easter time before we start unraveling. Sun down. Oh, looks. Good Lord. Have some respect.
Starting point is 00:13:24 So we got all 32 themes selected here. Tyler, you can hit start draft. and we could get to the next screen here. So, I mean, I guess, I guess you should go evens and I should go odds, right? I mean, like, you know, the Jets pick twice with the evens in the first round, the bucks pick with the odds. I feel like we should do that.
Starting point is 00:13:44 And another classic us, we didn't really discuss whether we were going to do this from like a what we would do perspective or like more of a predictive perspective. It's got to be what we would do because it's seven rounds. With a sprinkle of print. I don't know. I don't know, man. I think if you look at Joe, if you look at Joe Ortiz's his draft history,
Starting point is 00:14:06 I really think he's going to go for Mason Rieger in the fifth. It's his type of player. Yeah. No, I'm kidding. Yeah, Ortiz has Max Bredesen all over his board in the sixth round. 100%. 100%. Yeah, I'm hearing rumors.
Starting point is 00:14:19 There might be a special guest to make a very important pick in the top 10. So everybody, hold on to your chairs right now. In the top 10? Yeah, there might be. a very, very special guest making a specific pick here, but you and I can at least start. You want to start it off? Okay. All right. Yeah. All right. I'll pick. I'll pick. I'll pick. I'll pick second. It's the special. I'll do the Jets. Yeah, I know. And then you get the bucks. A cool, a cool part of stick to the model as mock jazz simulator as well is you see the trade button
Starting point is 00:14:50 that is popping up and down. We can, we can obviously click on that and you can see certain trades. So it's not just we're coming up with trades out of nowhere. Like if we get to the Cardinals, for example, at number three, we can take a look at some of the trades that might be on there, see if we want to do them. It's a lot easier to do trades when we have a functionality like this. So I don't think we'll do a lot of trades here in this mock, but maybe, maybe.
Starting point is 00:15:11 We'll consider it just because of the functionality of the mock draft sim. Fernando Mendoza at number one overall. A lot of people are like, whoa, Kirk Cousins, you really let the cat out of the bag when he said Fernando is, you know, going to be great. and he's going to be his teammate and all that kinds of stuff. Kirk Cousins didn't let anything out of the bag. We already know what's in the bag.
Starting point is 00:15:32 We put the player in the bag. He's been there. Come on now. It's Renana Mendoza. Yeah. Did you see, by the way, did you see, did you see the picture of him on the cover of Esquire? Do you see the magazine? He did Esquire?
Starting point is 00:15:44 Yeah, man, he's sitting there real cool, like, lean back. Well, you got to be. He's got like, I think it's the bow tie that's like untied, though, you know, just like around the neck. Like the post. wedding look you know wait did he take a picture in front of a dumbbell rack as well what is this way is that what that is that what yes there's there's any way at all whatsoever to get this picture on here esquire posted it one hour ago on their Instagram you scroll to the third picture in the swipe he is sitting there with a
Starting point is 00:16:16 tie half done in front of a dumbbell rack all time all timer that's unbelievable Like, there's no way you don't get roasted in the locker room on day one for that. No, probably not. Yeah, he might be cooked. But it's sick, yeah. It might be over before it ever began. But man, that is wicked stuff. All right, number two.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Wait, Bryce said, hold on, make the pick, boys. How are we off topic already? You better buckle up, Bryce. You better buckle up. Yep. Yeah, this is the one here. It's going to get off the rails even further. Number two, I'm still not pivoting away from R.
Starting point is 00:16:51 Vell Reese being the selection here at two. I know there's a lot of David, Bailey noise from very, very, very important people and very smart, plugged in people. I am still thinking
Starting point is 00:17:03 that it's going to be Rvel Reese at number two for the Jets. I think so too, man. In fact, in fact, he's plus money right now. Oh,
Starting point is 00:17:11 there's a buy-the-dip situation going on there. If you were into that sort of thing. I don't know, Jim. I don't know about that, Jim, he'd be a plus money.
Starting point is 00:17:19 I don't know. I just think he's so much more of an Aaron Glenn type of plate. I totally agree. Especially, the Glenn is kind of reference that they want to be a little bit more versatile in their front and unpredictable and bigger and faster. And I think they'd play Reese off the ball and on the edge as a rookie, just like the Cowboys did with Micah Year 1.
Starting point is 00:17:38 A lot of people forget that. It's true. All right. So the Arizona Cardinals up here at number three. If Arville Reese was here, I think it would be a no-brainer for them. Oh, yeah. I don't love the idea of them reaching for an O-Liman. Neither do I, as much as it's obviously a need.
Starting point is 00:18:01 It's why they want to trade out, Trev. Right, that's true. That's true. Oh, wait a second. We got the guests here right now. We got the guest here right now. The big man? Yeah, can we get him in the show?
Starting point is 00:18:12 Let's get the big man in the show. Can we get him in the show? Hold on. Because it's almost love hours. Here we go, baby. There is the big man. Hey, audio listeners. I know you guys are more audio than YouTube,
Starting point is 00:18:21 but we're making a big push right now and a big campaign to reach 75K subs on YouTube by the time the draft rolls around. If you have a YouTube account or even if you don't and you would love to support the show by just creating one and subscribing, it would really mean the world to us. We appreciate you guys. Thank you so much for listening to the show on audio.
Starting point is 00:18:40 And one more thing before we get back to the show and yes, this is the chef. Matthew Berry, who was our big, amazing guest for round one, his audio was a little weird at the start and we had some problems throughout his section. But it's not too bad and it's the worst at the beginning. So just bear with us through this. We appreciate your patience.
Starting point is 00:18:56 guys, and let's get back to the episode. The Godfather of fantasy football himself, the one and only, the infamous Matthew Barry. Matthew, thank you so much for joining the show, my man. I appreciate it. I'm not sure how I feel about that intro, because I feel like Godfather makes you sound old. Old. Which, to be clear, I am. And you are not the first or the last to call me the Godfather of fantasy sports.
Starting point is 00:19:21 There are many worse things to be called. I'm proud of my role in developing the industry as well. well, but then infamous makes me sound like, like there's, you know, there's some sort of, you know, sex tape about, you know, infamous Kim Carter. Notorious. Something like that. Like, no, I'm just a guy that, you know, has been saying start sit for a while. So, yeah, I'm not sure how I feel about infamous godfather.
Starting point is 00:19:46 Okay, you know what? Then I'm going to change it. I'm going to say that this is the Isaac Newton of fantasy football because if you remember, Isaac Newton, you know, theory of relativity, everything before he turned 26 years old. So you were the pioneer when you were a young pup, you were the genius before geniuses. So I'm going to go with that. I'll go with the Isaac Newton of fantasy football. How does that sound?
Starting point is 00:20:06 Well, listen, it's certainly better. And it's a good hip reference for the kids, Isaac Newton. There's lots of people who's talking about Isaac Newton. So good reference there. Pioneer, I'll accept, whatever. I'll accept anything. I mean, the truth is, is that I spend pretty much every day in my life with Connor Rogers. I've heard many worse insults rather than that is, than, than,
Starting point is 00:20:25 than any of that. Quite the active chat here. I'm impressed with the crew. We're flying and all the comments going through the chat here. So yeah, it looks good. We are at over 3,000 concurrent viewers right now. Shout out to everybody on the live special stream. And Matthew were really happy that you joined especially now because I remember going back to the combine. You were the first person that was talking about. Jeremiah loved going earlier than people expected for a long. long time. You know, Trevor and I went through this phase. It was like love to the chiefs and love beyond. Could he make it to Minnesota? And at the combine, it felt like that all, that died really quickly where you're like, this combo might start as early as four to Tennessee. Yeah, I heard that
Starting point is 00:21:12 the combine. And I, you know, I write my combine rumors column every single year for NBC sports. You can go check it out. 32 most interesting things. I heard at the combine. And looking at it, listen, I definitely got some stuff right or wrong, but it's held up pretty well. in the, you know, five to six weeks since I published that. And that was one of the things. I believe I was the first, you know, national person to put that out there saying, yeah, guys, I know this might sound insane, but I'm hearing Jeremiah Love to the Titans. That they have, that they have Jeremiah Love is the best player in the draft on their board.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Just forget position, just best player available. They think if they had the number one pick, they would take Jeremiah Love. But that's how valuable they think he is. And, you know, as I sort of went through the logic of it, where you're just like, that doesn't seem to make a ton of sense. And you're like, well, hang on for a second. The Titans are a team that are not going anywhere anytime soon. They need to rebuild, right? And so new coaching staff, they're getting into a new stadium in 2027.
Starting point is 00:22:10 It's a team that's kind of devoid of stars. We brought on Wondell Robinson, a couple of nice guys on defense. Obviously, you've got Cam Ward, but it's not like a team that's loaded with star power. So Jeremiah Love is somebody that the fan base could get excited about because there hasn't been a lot to be. be excited about in Tennessee recently. And so as they open up the new stadium in a year, and then you think about Robert Sala, right, who obviously thinking about his days as a coordinator in San Francisco knows the impact of having a very good run game, what that can do for an offense. You know, I feel like Sala and Connor, you can speak to this better than I can,
Starting point is 00:22:43 but I feel like Sala ultimately, I know he's got dayball there, but like Sala probably wants to just run the ball and play good defense. Like if Sala had his druthers in terms of what his team might look like. Let's run the hell out of the ball and play good defense. And, you know, having a franchise running back like Jeremy I love might make a lot of sense when you look at it through that lens. I completely agree. I think this would be the perfect help for Cam Ward. I think he's the best player in the entire draft. I think the rumors around this and once again, starting with you, Matthew, I think it was very real to the point where it felt like a couple weeks ago, Tennessee even tried to do some damage control and get everybody off the pathway of that as
Starting point is 00:23:20 well. Trevor, I know you still have to make the pick at three here, so we'll have you do that. But Matthew, do you think he would be your pick at four for Tennessee? Or we can even rig this thing and have him go to your commanders at seven or beyond. It's up to you. The powers in your hands. You're our guest. I appreciate that. I actually don't think he goes, well, I think it would be, I think if, Connor, I know you were talking about this, that the, the, the commander, trading back with the Jets. I don't think that if Love were there, I'm not can, they might take them, I guess, but listen, they need wide receiver help. Yeah. They were in on, they were in on Alec Pierce and they didn't get him. They were in on Romeo Dobbs and they didn't get him.
Starting point is 00:24:04 They made aggressive offers for both those guys. And if the season started today, their number two wide receivers likely Trelon Burks. And Trelon Brooks, by the way, had some nice moments last year. It's kind of a nice little reclamation project for Washington after speaking of Tennessee. but he'd sort of been left for dead but um they don't want that like this is this is their window Washington's window they've got two years of jaden Daniels under a rookie contract and they're probably going to have to reset that early so it's really like this season and next season where they have got to maximize jane's opportunity and they're not doing that with Traylon Brooks as their number two you know there's a lot of rumors about potentially the you know being get reunited with brandon iyuk
Starting point is 00:24:49 but the 49ers, they're not dumb. You know, certainly no love lost between them and IUK. So there are no hurry to do anything that would favor IUK. Yeah, go test the market. Sure. They're going to hold on to them and see if they can get something to let them out of jail because they're sort of already on the hook for whatever is they're going to pay them. And so I think right now it's a game of chicken between Washington and San Francisco
Starting point is 00:25:11 about, you know, who's going to blink first as relates to IEuth. But I know they've had multiple visits with Jordan. Tyson with Carnell Tate with a number of different wide receivers in this class. So, Connor, Trevor, I think that the commanders, I think the commanders want a wide receiver in the first round. I wouldn't be surprised if they trade down. Jeremy Love is awesome, and I could certainly, you can make the argument, but, you know, I don't know. I, George sort of feels, yeah, I don't know. Anyway, Trevor should make the pick at three and then we can debate it more.
Starting point is 00:25:49 Um, Connor, I would rather have sunny styles here than David Bailey. But if you think, if you think it'll totally throw it all the way off the rails. No. I don't, I don't want to do that at three. Because I, ideally, I feel like Arizona could trade back as well. Tyler, can I see the trade button? Just if there's one that makes sense. Let's see.
Starting point is 00:26:07 Moving down to 17, moving down to 5, moving out of 15. That's far. Tampa wouldn't do it. They wouldn't move down to 17. And, oh, I don't. know if the giants move up i think they'd move up for love now no no no no i'm gonna keep it and take styles i'm gonna keep it and take styles yep you're gonna keep it and take styles yep yep i think we should have love go at four to tennessee i think i think going back to matthews rumors column at the
Starting point is 00:26:33 combine and then it started to swerve a little after that to me always felt like tennessee trying to do a little damage control love it for um they take one of the just because of solid just Again, my reporting was that they, not even reporting, my rumors calm. I'm not a journalist. I want to be very clear about this. I am not a journalist. But my rumors column was that I heard that Tennessee had love, similar to you, Conner, as the best player available in this draft.
Starting point is 00:27:01 But just playing devil's advocate, is there a scenario where Sala goes defense here? His first pick ever head coach, the Tennessee Titans, does it go defense? Does it go with one of the edge rushers? If David Bailey is now there, right? Bailey is a solid. I was like, are we suddenly going? Yeah. Bailey's a solid rusher to a T where I could see that one happening for sure.
Starting point is 00:27:23 This scenario doesn't happen a ton that Bailey is there at four, but with him being there at four, it has to be a conversation. By the way, Logan P14 with a very important question in a super chat, is this the guy from Avengers Endgame? Yes, this is the guy from Avengers Endgame. You're correct. Yes, yes. Somewhere in my, oh, yeah, I mean, I don't know if you can see it.
Starting point is 00:27:43 I'm sort of right there, but that's, That, let me see if I get an Oscar for that. No, no, that's, I did not get an Oscar, but that is my Avengers end game. There it is. Lunchbox. Look at that. Wow. That's amazing.
Starting point is 00:27:55 As a cast member. Dude. Yeah. I'm pretty sure, look, the swag box that you get at my level is different than like what Downey got, you know, to be honest. I got a lunch box. Lunchbox and a magnet. I'm pretty sure Downie got like a car or something.
Starting point is 00:28:07 I can't, I can't tell you. I know I've told you this in person when I met you for the first time at Conner's wedding. But like, when you popped on the screen. cream in end game. I was I was genuinely the Leo DiCaprio me. I was like whoa whoa whoa wait wait that's that's that's who I think it is and it was that was just an incredible moment there so Connor hold on you picked Jeremiah love at four do you want to pick Bailey because he's there no I took love that's still all right yeah okay he's sticking with he's sticking with it folks Giants it Giants of five we go with the five I want to keep Matthew on at least until seven
Starting point is 00:28:40 because I'd love for him to do the commanders quickly uh Trevor just Off of that, what's so funny is is that some people immediately recognize me. And some people didn't. I'm at the permit. And I wasn't, I signed a million NDAs. I'm not allowed to tell anyone that I'm in Avengers Endgame. And I wasn't allowed to tell him until Tuesday. The movie opened on a Thursday night.
Starting point is 00:29:01 And I literally, because, you know, there were like no spoilers. Thanos demands your silence. It was a whole campaign about no spoilers. And so, like, people recognize me on, you know, they go see it Thursday night or Friday night. And so my Twitter and my social media is blowing up. Dude, did I see you an Avengers Endgame? And I'm not allowed to acknowledge it at all. I'm not allowed to say, yes, that was me or no, it's not.
Starting point is 00:29:21 And what's so funny is it was about half and half because the scene that I'm in, so much is going on, right? You've got Thor and you've got Tony Stark and Loki and the Hulk smashing through and Ant Man getting small into 2012, Tony. And there's all sorts of craziness going on. And so at the premiere, literally at the premiere. And so there's an after-party at the premiere.
Starting point is 00:29:46 So you leave the theater and you go to the premiere. And so you're there. And like, oh, there's Downey and there's like, you know, there's Anthony Mackey and like whatever, right? And so I'm in the line at the bar. And somebody, the person behind me goes like, oh my God, Matthew Barry? And I'm like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:04 He goes, ah, I listen to Fantasy Focus is my old ESPN show. Like, I listen to Fantasy Focus every day. Dude, I'm a huge fan. I'm like, oh, thank you so much. And I'm like, there's my wife, Beth, and his wife, whatever it was. And he's like, oh, my God, it's so great to meet you. By the way, what are you doing here? I swear to God.
Starting point is 00:30:23 And he goes, because, like, why are you, like, at the Avengers premiere? He had literally just seen the movie. And, you know, he was, like, this massive fan of mine. Like, he's, oh, and he's, like, and he just, and I'm like, I was in the movie. He's like, no way. What part? And so... You should have been like...
Starting point is 00:30:45 You should have been like, yeah, I was Captain America. You didn't... Yeah, that was the movie. Like, you should have just been like, yeah, I was Chris Evans. You didn't, you don't see that when, you know, Chris Evans, I was younger Chris Evans, you know, when he goes back in time, you know. That's me at the end of the movie with Peggy. That was me and him.
Starting point is 00:31:02 That was me. That one I could have got... That way I can get away with, actually, more. That's a better call. I'll do that one. Anyway, I've derailed you guys more than... I usually derailed on my own show, but I don't... No, no, because we'll be...
Starting point is 00:31:11 and we'll get to the commanders because I want to get your pick for the commanders and then we'll get you out of here. For the Giants, somebody takes Spencer Fano. I'm going to stay. I'm going to stay on the offensive line train. I'm going towards offensive line. I think Harbaugh really wants to go towards the offensive line. If he believes that any of these guys are close to worth it at five, I think he's pulling the trigger there. So I'm going to go with Fano there at number five. At six for the Browns, that's who I would have taken. I think they're in on the tackle class. I will go Monroe Freeling here. Obviously, I am not as high on Monroe Freeling. as a top 10 pick, but I think the league is higher on him.
Starting point is 00:31:45 And I think the Browns are in on the tackles. And they could possibly get their wide receiver later with their other first round pick, which puts Matthew on the clock at seven for his commanders with all the wide receivers on the board. Yep. You know what? But I have to say, like, if this draft goes the way is sweet. So David Bailey is still available. That's right.
Starting point is 00:32:06 David Bailey is indeed still available. Like, I feel like, I feel like everything. they've mocked doesn't have Bailey available here at seven. And I know they've won an edge rusher. You know what I mean? Like, um, and so I'm going to take David Bailey. Like I think we will, either that or assuming we're not doing tradebacks here. I think if this scenario were actually played out in the NFL draft, I think the commanders
Starting point is 00:32:32 would take Bailey or try to trade back the jets, you know, the jet second pick, Connor is is one that's been mentioned. Yep. And see if, see if like Jordan Tyson, let's, you know, know, slides them there. But I don't, I just don't see them passing that up. I know they like Carnel Tate. They definitely like, they like Tyson and Tate. They like love. But I mean, you know, and they've spent a lot of their offseason just building up defense. But I, you guys tell me if I'm crazy, because you've studied this a lot more than I have. But I just sort of feel like
Starting point is 00:33:07 if this scenario actually played out that Adam Peters would look around and the guys like, Are we missing something? Like, did people let go to his birthday party? I agree. Like what's going on? Like, should we, we should just take David Bailey and stop thinking about this, right? I agree. It's funny.
Starting point is 00:33:25 Somebody in the chat said that, Matthew, you're pulling a me because you talk so much about them wanting wide receiver and then, you know, probably taking Carnell Tate and then being very interested. And then you pulling a me is, I will go wax poetic on a player for a certain pick. And then Connor knows right before I make the pick I'll go. yeah, I'm actually going to go to this guy instead. And so people are saying that you fit perfectly into the show here by going about the commander's pick the way that we normally go through just every scenario, every explanation,
Starting point is 00:33:54 and then pick it a different guy at the end. Matthew, this is awesome, man. Thank you so much for popping in. One last question for you guys. Yes, yes. An important question for you guys, the chat can weigh in here as well. Trevor, I don't know if Connor has let you in on this. But I'm in a number of dynasty leagues, as you might imagine,
Starting point is 00:34:09 including one with a bunch of sharks in the fantasy football industry. Guys like, you know, Graham Barfield and Scott Barrett and Rich Rebar and Pat Thorman and Evan Silvas. Like, it's just, it's a bunch of sharks. And so I've been in the league for six years, made the finals in four of them, one, two. But the last two years I basically, so I won two out of the first three years of the league. and then I made the finals, and then I've just started tearing it down.
Starting point is 00:34:42 So I've been in a rebuilding mode. Okay, so the last two years taken out of the Chan and Conner has helped me out because the nutty thing about this particular Dynasty League is that we do our draft before the NFL draft. So you have to take rookie players. Insanity. Before you know where they've landed,
Starting point is 00:35:01 before you know where their opportunity is. The draft starts today. You guys are nuts. Yes. It's Scott Barrett set up. this league it's f and scott barrett so the draft starts today and i have the number one pick i like again i've been in full-on tank slash rebuilding mode i'm the wizards and um uh so i have the number one pick which and it's a super so i want i've been offered a trade and i would like you and the
Starting point is 00:35:29 people to weigh in on this okay okay so try to it is a 12-team league yep super flex tight-in premium um and 33 man ross with four IR spots. Okay. So it goes very deep. That's extremely deep. 12 teams, 33-man rosters, four IR spots. Yep, yep.
Starting point is 00:35:47 Superflex, tight-end premium. And so I have the number one pick. My quarter, I am going Jeremiah Love. My quarterbacks are Mahomes and Brock Purdy. I have no depth beyond that. Like my number three quarterback is like Zach Wilson or like, You know, Max Rosmer. Like I got, it's literally like those two guys in nothing.
Starting point is 00:36:12 So I need another viable third quarterback. But I feel like love over Mendoza because. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I mean. The chat resounding is saying, Jeremiah, I love, you don't think twice about it. Situation proof too, which is draft before the draft.
Starting point is 00:36:27 That's what you want. Love all day. People will probably die to get into that pick from you. Yeah. 100%. Don't trade it. No. No.
Starting point is 00:36:34 No. Especially because, by the way, I sort of, I mean, I have, I have Judkins and then my number two running back is either like Jordan Mason or, you know, I mean like I need running back. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, no brainer, no brain. Yeah, Jordan Mason, Tyrone Tracy, like it's not pretty. Love him. So running back's an area of need for me. I'm pretty strong everywhere else.
Starting point is 00:36:52 Okay. But I've just been offered this trade and I want to present it without comment. Okay. Scott Barrett has offered me this trade. My friend Scott Barrett, who I respect a lot. He is offering me R.J. Harvey, Jack Besh, Tank Dell. and the 110 this year for the 101. No shot.
Starting point is 00:37:12 No. He offered you his clutter to move up to one. No, no, no, no, no, no. Not even close. You should actually... Wouldn't consider it. You should actually block him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:21 I would block him. I'd hire an assistant to respond to that trade just so I didn't have to respond. Yeah, and make sure no, it's the assistant. Yeah, the chat is also going crazy telling you to block him. Kick him out of the league someone's... I think it's his league. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:37 put him in the walls of Jericho the next time you see him actually. Yeah, shame him. But I would like people, he's on, he's on Twitter at Scott Barrett DFB. And so I would love that I just, I wanted, I wanted to play it straight up. I didn't want to, I had the exact same reaction you are. It's like, you know, I'm like scrolling like there's got to be more to it than this, right? But, you know, Tankdale, who we don't know if he's going to play football again. Right, right.
Starting point is 00:38:04 R.J. Harvey, who's a nice player, but, you know, is in a committee on a team that uses multiple running backs as well. We liked Jack Besh last year, but who knows, hasn't shown anything. And then you've got the 110. Just to give you a comp, in this league last year, the team that had the number, I had the number three pick last year. And I took Tyler Warren, tight in premium, worked out. But the number, the person who had the number one pick,
Starting point is 00:38:28 which would have been Gentie last year, obviously, traded the number one for four, five, and six. Cool. Somebody traded up from, gave the 104 or the 105, 106 to move up to 101. Or is it like the 104, 105, and 107. Scott wants to be a tank that a player who might not play. And then the other team took to Colston Loveland,
Starting point is 00:38:48 Ted McMillan, Travis Hunter. And Scott wants you to trade your top pick for a guy who might not play football again, a guy who Pete Carroll disowned personally from the draft that he just had. And then who is the other one? It was Ben. Jay Harvey. Well, that was. Trevor loves it. R.J. Harvey. We got no problem with R.J. Harvey around here. So that's, you know, that's a good one.
Starting point is 00:39:13 R.J. Harvey, who's like, you know, according to Connor Rogers, pre-draft board last year, it was a poor man's to Corey Krosky Merritt. That's right. That's correct. He might still be. I don't know, because Corey Krosky Merritt's awesome. But yes, you should, the chat is telling you that you should absolutely say no to this trade. You should draft Jeremiah Love and you should ride off into the dynasty sunset. That is what I'm going to say. Scott's mentions, by the way, not pretty right now. What I'm asking NFL Stock Exchange Nation to do, as a thank you to me for coming on your show and derailing it
Starting point is 00:39:48 and the only way I know how, and trying to raise a few bucks for charity here, which I appreciate you guys are doing this time. Which is absolutely working. Which is the point. But so what I would love for you guys to do is all go to Twitter at Scott Barrett DFB and be like, dude, that trade you offered Matthew Berry is ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:40:06 How that's embarrassing. I can't believe it. I thought you were an expert. I can't believe group off trades happen in expert leagues. Like this is the kind of BS that would happen in my local league, but like you're supposed to be an expert. What's going on? Just whatever your opinion is, I don't want to write it for you. But if your opinion in the trade is similar to the three of us, then I would love you to express that publicly it's got. There it is. It's public. It's out there. Do with it what you will. Not to you the best, man. Thank you so much for joining us. This is a ton of fun. Thank you for making a couple of picks. Thank you, Matthew.
Starting point is 00:40:38 Enjoy it, my man. You're the best. I'll see you Thursday. I appreciate you guys. Good luck. See you guys. Oh, man. Trevor, I've searched Scott's mentions.
Starting point is 00:40:47 It's already begun. This one from Mac to Scott. That's an awful fantasy trade offer, man. You should be ashamed. By the way, a massive thank you to Matthew, which is such an on-brand appearance from him. 10 out of 10. I don't want to forget this.
Starting point is 00:41:07 And then we'll get back. to a lot of the our typical nonsense. Bro Schmo, yes. Friend of the show. Master friend of the show. Somebody that you all should go subscribe to his channel, which is literally at Bro Schmo. BRO, S-H-M-O.
Starting point is 00:41:23 Does a lot of draft content. Friend of the show. A $500 charity donation to this stream. He said, fins up, great work boys. Another fun draft cycle. And as always appreciate the work that you all do. From Tankford, Tua to March for Arch. Got to love being a Miami fan.
Starting point is 00:41:38 5K is easy work for the addicts. That is pretty special stuff, man. Thank you for being a friend of the show and thank you for the donation. Broishmo is the absolute best. I'm going on channel later this week. I can't wait. I always love linking up with him.
Starting point is 00:41:51 And by the way, that $500 donation put us over the goal. We have been on this stream for 43 minutes. It's unbelievable. We have five more hours to go. And you guys just eclipse the goal, which is, by the way, double what we had last year.
Starting point is 00:42:11 That was, 5K was double what we raised last year. And you guys did that in 43 minutes. You're unbelievable. We will keep this, we will keep this rolling. Obviously, it's not like it's going to stop at five.
Starting point is 00:42:22 However much you guys want to support these four charities that we're representing here today, all of that money will go to charity. So we appreciate you guys so much. Y'all are unbelievable. Also, during Matthew Berry's segment, we crossed the 65K subscriber. Oh, hell, yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:35 Mark. love you guys and of course every new subscribers a dollar donated to charity there as well you know up to $5,000 that we said that we would do you know you gotta make sure yeah I mean you guys are you guys taking this thing nuclear so it's just so much fun to watch anyways we're at pick eight there's a little under 300 picks yeah yeah we're projected to be here probably till Friday afternoon my wife my wife's gone she's on a trip it's fine no and honestly Matthew will know why I don't show up to do the show at work on Thursday so I'm good yeah there we go we're good to go
Starting point is 00:43:06 Okay, let's get back to knocking these out. So the New Orleans Saints on the clock here at number eight, I think the two options that I really lean towards here with them is Rubin Bain or Carnell Tate. I'm with you all the way, brother. I'm going to go with Carnell Tate here, actually. This is kind of a snipe here for the Kansas City Cheaps, but I just love the idea of Tate and Chris Olave in that offense. Tyler Shuck, he's got a big arm.
Starting point is 00:43:31 He can really maximize what Carnell Tate does as a vertical receiver. Yes, they need edge rusher, but I think you can get some impact. Ed rush just a little bit later. Carnell Tate feels like he is the best wide receiver in this draft. And then specifically for New Orleans, I think he would be a great fit as well. So you were up with the Chiefs.
Starting point is 00:43:47 The Chiefs at 9 for me is going to be Caleb Downs. I think he's the second best player in this draft. I think the Chiefs need superstars on their back end again. That is an easy one for me. And I have refreshed Scott Barrett's mentions. Oh, my Lord. Feels like his mentions got Napalm. Are they a war zone?
Starting point is 00:44:06 I mean, every 30 seconds, there's something new in here. Oh, man. The addicts. It's all, it's all, hopefully it's all in good fun for people. Somebody said, clear up the trade allegations. The next show that Scott does, he's going to have to address them at the top of the show. So the Bengals are on the clock here at number 10. You took Caleb Downs off the board at number nine.
Starting point is 00:44:32 It's tough scene for me. It would have been sweet for you. I probably should have been. to make it flow. It would have been sweet. I'll tell you a little preview of the big board episode that we're going to do on Monday when Connor and I give you guys our final big boards for next week, because next week is draft week, crazy enough.
Starting point is 00:44:47 I have Dylan Theoneman as a top 10 player in this class. And I think about him at number 10. Ruben Bain is sitting here at number 10. And even with, you know, obviously the news that came out this week about Rubin Bain, about everything that happened with the reckless driving incident in 2024 and 2025, a lot of people have come out and say, hey, NFL teams have known about this for a long time. This isn't necessarily going to be like a Laramie-Tunsell thing
Starting point is 00:45:13 where NFL teams are scrambling for information. They don't know what to do. I don't think that Bain's draft stock is really going to be affected too much here from it. And so I think that fringe top 10 range still very much of where he is going to get picked. So I'm going to go with the Cincinnati Bengals there at number 10. I'm going to take Ruby Main off the board. 11 from Miami, I'm going to go with Francis Maui Noah. I think this new Green Bay regime wants to get bigger and tougher,
Starting point is 00:45:34 especially in the trenches. they'll be a little bit built differently than how Mike McDaniel like to build his offense. And Maui Noah plugs in probably right guard as a rookie, but maybe their long-term right tackle. Yeah, I just realized the chat correctly let me know that I was picking odds. Well, because Matthew picked it seven. Right, right, right. It's okay. When we get to the bucks, we'll flip it back.
Starting point is 00:45:58 Okay, all right, all right. Dylan Thedeman to the Dallas Cowboys. Come on down, brother. This dude's awesome. Like I said, he's a tie. think he's a top 10 player in the class. I love the range from him. I think he is somebody who can defend the run from depth.
Starting point is 00:46:12 He can play true single high stuff for you. Love how he's able to move. He is such a fluid athlete as much as he is an explosive one. Great ball skills. I know he's a little bit smaller, but you can play this dude all over the field. There's a top 10 player in the class for me. And I think Dallas would absolutely love to get a player like this.
Starting point is 00:46:30 So the end of minute number 12 did Dallas Cowboys. 13, the Rams. I like to look at wide receiver here. Carnell Tate's the only one off the board, I believe, Trevor. He went eight to the Saints. Correct. Yeah. So you have Jordan Tyson available here.
Starting point is 00:46:43 You have Omar Cooper available here and you have Mackay Lemon available here. And Denzel Boston, by the way, if they're looking to add size at wide receiver, I wouldn't be shocked if the NFL likes Boston better than draft media does. I am going to go with Omar Cooper Jr. here. That might be a surprise to some people, but they get a player that's a little bigger and a little faster than Lemon. Scheme the ball. Scheme touches to him and how dangerous he is after the catch.
Starting point is 00:47:11 And you could play him inside and outside. So Omar Cooper at 13 to the Rams. I see a lot of people in the chat who are saying, whoa, Trevor passed over Mansour Delane over Dylan Thien. I was a little surprised by that. Not shocked, but a little surprised. I'm very confident with Dylan Thineman on my board over Mansour Delane. And also, like, the Cowboys have corner options.
Starting point is 00:47:33 I mean, they they still have Savon Reble. They still have Duran Bland. Like, they have corner options. They don't have any impact safeties right now. Maybe they get one at pick 20. And I think that Thineman can play some nickel stuff for you.
Starting point is 00:47:47 I don't know. I'm kind of surprised at how much the chat is saying that, like, Delane was the very obvious pick. I think Thinemann's the obvious pick, to be honest with you. Not to take anything away from Delane, but I just think Thineman's special. The Baltimore Ravens here at Nguer number 14.
Starting point is 00:48:05 Is this as simple as Vega you want to? Maybe. I thought about him for the Rams at 13. He's worthy of this range. For sure. I want to make that clear. I mean, could they take the lane? They got Nate Wiggins.
Starting point is 00:48:20 They drafted T.J. Tampa. They got Chiodobee on a one-year deal. Marlon Humphrey. He's getting older. He's getting older. He's 29. But he's more of like that nickel back anyways. You can't go wrong with Venga.
Starting point is 00:48:33 I don't think. can yeah all right we'll take uh we'll take vega yawanna here to to the baltimore ravens you're up again yeah that puts tampa up at number 15 uh to be honest with you with delane here is the draft rigged folks did i rig the draft did i rig the draft here is delane or messador and bucks need pass right mccoy in place truck bad um I think he, I think so, but I just think Tampa would like Delane more than they would McCoy. And just coming off of the injury, I'll take the lane here. Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:21 I'll tell you, I'll take the lane there. 16 in the Jets, I think this. Yeah, it's rigged. Say it's rigged. Go ahead. Might be rigged. Honestly, looking at this. It's my show. So, I'll rig it if I want to.
Starting point is 00:49:31 You watched. Yeah, I was just about to save the Pete Whip. That's all you could do. So full transparency, this has gone a little different. And that's going to happen as, you know, we have some guests and we have some different combos and we do $8 million of these. The Jets are looking at wide receiver at 16. I think they really like Omar Cooper. He's gone.
Starting point is 00:49:54 I think they really like Jordan Tyson and Mikea, Mackay Lemon. They're still here. We've seen the buzz around them and Carnal Tate. He's gone. Somebody to check on me, the Riggler. Riggged like always. Oh, man. job well done somebody said thank you.
Starting point is 00:50:11 Yep, yep. I'm going to go with Tyson here. If they're okay with, and I don't think he's, I want to make this clear, I do not think Jordan Tyson's going to be there at 16 when this happens. So that would make them go lemon,
Starting point is 00:50:21 but he is here. I think they would value Tyson's inside and outside ability. If they can get past, you know, if they can dive into and believe he's going to be healthy enough, they would take him at 16, as would I think a lot of teams.
Starting point is 00:50:37 So Detroit at 17, here. Hmm. What would Detroit go with? I'm fascinated to see how they view McCoy. Because they haven't had that like high, that real high end corner. Like Proctor is the, their, buzzy,
Starting point is 00:51:02 buzzy name for sure. And he's their type. He is their type. I think Maxionature is better. Yeah, I've seen a lot of that. Maxionature. Another, you know, little hint here for the Big Board episode on Monday. Maxianature is a top 15 player for me.
Starting point is 00:51:24 I think his talent is through the roof. I think that when you look at the fact he's only been playing football for four years. That's the key. I mean, I just think the athleticism's there. The frame is there. The strength, the body density to be able to anchor against power. Like, yeah, does he fail against counters right now? needs to maintain his blocks more. Yeah, of course he does. But again, like, you get this guy
Starting point is 00:51:50 more football under his belt and with the right offensive line coach, and you can, you can fix that stuff. So I'm actually going to take, I'm going to take Maxianature here. I like him better. And if this is more of a little bit of what we are doing, I like him at tackle and he can play right tackle. And then obviously you're moving Penny Sewell over to left because Dan Campbell said that they would ideally like to move Penny Sewell over to left. So I think that that's really helps you out there. You want a Scott Barrett mentions update? Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's get it. All right, I'll hit you with three. Um, Rice Poppy said, you're a scoundrel for that trade offer to Barry. Scoundrel. Great use. Great use of scoundrel. May your tears fill up the ocean of dong.
Starting point is 00:52:33 No, no. I just read what's on the prompter. What have we done? I just read what's on the prompter. The SS addict said Tank Dell in the Year of Our Lord, 2006, Matthew Barry is appalled to Safeway with you. And then it's a, I think an AI generated picture of Safeway that says meat, fabric, uncrustable's red chimicherry pounder, like over the aisles. Just an unbelievable schmorgh of NFLSE references right there. Just an absolute, an absolute joy there. One more, and then I'll get back to business.
Starting point is 00:53:08 WF said, is that a real trade? offer you're trying to trade with Matthew Barry not Andrew Barry this is like if you want to have fun just search poor Scott's handle Scott's gonna Scott's having a casual day right now
Starting point is 00:53:24 nice lunch nice little Tuesday yeah maybe maybe nice little lunch he checks his phone he's like oh I have a check Twitter in a while and it's just going to say 20 plus on the notifications for him and he's going to read it and he's going to be he's basically just going to be America's most wanted and he's going to have no idea
Starting point is 00:53:39 know what happened. So I can't wait for Matthew to call him just cackling about what's going on here. Minnesota at 18, I'm going to go with the McPounder here, Caden McDonald. Really? I just, man, you go back to it. He's my DT1. He's really freaking good. He's an absolute unit against the run. He's got some potential to push the pocket as a pass rusher. I think he's just too good of a player to fall where he's been falling lately. So in Minnesota's defense, man, this is the kind of player Flores needs in the middle of it after when you watch their tape from last year. Like this is a big difference maker. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:20 All right. Okay. All right. If Thinaman is here, do you pick Thinaman? Yes. Okay. All right. All right.
Starting point is 00:54:27 Just wondering. Just wondering. Just wonder. So Carolina Panthers are number 19. We've got. Oh, Lemon's still on the board. Yeah. Are no, Lemon's still here?
Starting point is 00:54:37 Oh, man. So I'm doing some, I'm doing some content for Panthers.com. And we had a big conversation sort of about the possibilities at 19. And I think Kenyon Sadiq, if they believe in Kenyon Sadiq, I think he's going to be their guy. Because this is a team that's wanted to lean more into the tight end position over the years. They really haven't had a consistent difference maker over the middle of the field, especially at that position since Greg Olson.
Starting point is 00:55:04 I think it's something that levels up their offense here. If people are saying like you can take Casey Concepcion, I think both Casey and Mackay Lemon are sort of on the board here. I actually like Casey Concepcion more than I do Lemon for the Panthers because I think they're pretty comfortable with the role that Jalen Coker plays more of as the slot player. And where Lemon can play on the outside for you, he is more of a slot. So, but if they, if, again, if they like, I don't think they'll take offensive tackle.
Starting point is 00:55:39 I just don't think they're going to do it. They patched it enough. This is a team that is coming off of, they're coming off of winning the division. I think they want more of a capitalizing type of a pick. I'm between Casey and Sadiq. Do you have a leaning one way or the other? I'm phoned and a friend here.
Starting point is 00:56:01 Sadeek. Oh, or people are saying, saying Jermon McCoy, because Mike Jackson's a free agent next year. I mean, McCoy's definitely warrants it from a talent standpoint. I'm going to take Sadiq. Yeah. I'm going to take Cany's Sadeek. I like all three options.
Starting point is 00:56:20 I can see all three options, but I believe that the Panthers kind of really want to fix tight end if they possibly can. And I know a lot of people are shouting out McCoy. I think McCoy would be a good pick for them. But again, I'm just not so sure Carolina would. So this is more of a, I guess this is more of a predictive pick for me. Actually, if we're doing. doing what we would do, I should probably redo it because I would take McCoy.
Starting point is 00:56:49 Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Let's do under the last pick. I forgot we were doing it a little bit more of what we would do. I'm going to take, I'm going to take Jermann McCoy here. I think Jermon McCoy is a top 15 player in the class. So let's take Jermon McCoy because he's still on the board.
Starting point is 00:56:59 And I think we could hit wide receiver and even tight end a little bit later. So you had Dallas take Thenaman, correct at 12? I did. Yes. I am going to have them take. I feel like Messador fits. really well with them. Let's look at the edge players. Obviously, I like Zion Young a lot. Yeah, I'm going to have them go with the key messador here. Somebody that just has pro ready hands.
Starting point is 00:57:23 He plays all three downs. He's got a lot of different moves. And he brings a different element to what they have up front while trying to get a little younger. I know Rishong Gary's there for now, but I know people will make their Messador old jokes, but he's not Rishon Gary's age. So, yeah, Dallas goes Messador at 20. You know I love Messador. You know, I love Messador. You know, I think he's awesome. Pittsburgh at 21. Hmm. See, now this is interesting
Starting point is 00:57:49 because we got Mackay Lemon on the board. But do you believe in Broder Jones? That's the question. Not right now, no. What is your... Because the Yonachar went at 17. So are you thinking Proctor? Are you thinking...
Starting point is 00:58:16 I would probably think Blake Miller. or Caleb Lomu, one of the two. Okay. I have Lemon and Miller ranked pretty close. I'm going to go Blake Miller. I'm going to take Blake Miller. Let's get Blake Miller off the board here. I'm going to him to Pittsburgh at 21.
Starting point is 00:58:40 I think Blake Miller is awesome, man. Obviously, anybody who's listening to this podcast knows my thoughts on Blake Miller. And a lot of people are shouting on Mackay Lemon. I still believe in Roman Wilson a little bit. Maybe that's my fault. But you've got D.K. Metcalfe. Now you traded for Michael Pittman Jr. I think Roman Wilson can be that slot receiver for you.
Starting point is 00:58:59 I think the Blake Miller upgraded offensive tackles a lot more beneficial and you get more ROI there. Chargers are in a weird spot here, aren't they, at 22? Because, you know, lemon's falling. They're not taking him. They have Ladd-McConkie for that role. All the guys I would take to play guard in their scheme are gone. Like Proctor's not going to be a scheme fit for them, in my opinion.
Starting point is 00:59:26 opinion. So then you kind of pivot probably more to, well, let's see best available first off, because that goes to mind when your needs are not really kind of falling into your lap. I still have fascinated by Sadiq in this scheme, but they have made, and they have made good investments in tight end where it just feels like a luxury pick. They have Kohler to be their blocking tight end. Yeah. It depends what they think of Gazden, who flashed as a rookie for sure. somebody said Owane, Yuanay's been gone. Yeah, O'Anne went to 14 to the Ravens.
Starting point is 01:00:01 They probably do need another edge pass rusher to get ahead of Khalil Mack who's still good but getting older. Right. Across from Tully. I'm going to take Zion Young here. I think that might really surprise. I think that might really surprise people.
Starting point is 01:00:18 Surprise me. But his power profile, his ability to defend the run, he's got that good inside move. I think this could be a sneaky, And I think I see that I love that the stick to the model has the consensus on the right. I will be floored if Zion Young is not a top 35 pick. When I see him at 45, I'm like, I think those days are gone.
Starting point is 01:00:40 See, Bryce in the chat, our Chargers guy says love Zion Young. Okay. Wow. All right. Got the sign off. Got the sign off there. The Philadelphia Eagles. I'm fascinated to see what you do between the two pass catchers.
Starting point is 01:00:59 who's between K.C. and Mackay Lemon? No. Mackay Lemon and Sadiq. Oh, not close to me. Oh, I keep forgetting that we're really going in on the, like, what we would do. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, that's what I just did, to be fair, for Zion, but yeah. Yeah, yeah, Mackay Lemon, baby.
Starting point is 01:01:17 Okay. Give you McCoy Lemon, let me McKay Lemon and A.J. Brown, or, and, uh, well, not A.G. Devante Smith, because I think that A.J. Brown's going to be gone. That's. Love that. I wonder if this is, I wonder, because look, everybody who's listening to this show knows that we love Mackay Lemon. I wonder if this is more closer to the range that he would go. He's still a smaller player. He's not a crazy athlete. Like, yeah, I love Lemon, but is, is the NFL going to draft him super high. I don't know. I'm not totally convinced. I think this is, when we do mock drafts, he often goes so much higher than this, but I think there's a world where we get to Thursday, uh, next. Thursday, excuse me, and he could be around this range in the 20s.
Starting point is 01:02:03 24 of the Browns. We're going to continue the little wide receiver run here. I am going to go with Denzel Boston. I would want the guy that can play on the perimeter, climb the ladder. They move him around a lot, which Monkin's going to love, blocks his ass off for their run game. So the Browns go O-line wide receiver in round one. Chicago Bears.
Starting point is 01:02:25 Let's see. So for Chicago. By the way, Tyler, can you scroll up to the very top and just scroll down so people can see if they join the Chantley? This was the mock as we had it, with a little flavor from Matthew Berry there went picks 4-3-7. So we got to this point.
Starting point is 01:02:48 I could go O-line, but I don't think they're going to. I don't think they're going to do O-line. This team should trade for Dexter Lawrence, but... Yeah, that'd be sweet. That would be pretty sweet for him. Ooh. How do you feel about Emmanuel McNeil Warren? It's not crazy at all.
Starting point is 01:03:18 Interesting. They signed Kobe Bryant to play that free safety role, but Cam Lewis play strong safety. I mean, Emmanuel McNeill Warren could make a ton of sense for them. Some people are saying T.J. Parker as well, I think T.J. Parker could make sense for them, but I think you can get an edge rush a little bit later. I think the same thing was center. That power edge wouldn't shock me. Zion's gone.
Starting point is 01:03:44 I always default to him. But you brought up Parker. I think that's in play for sure. Let's go McNeil Warren. I'm going to go with Emmanuel McNeil Warren. Because I actually like this setup here for him to be able to play more of that box safety, strong safety role with Kobe Bryant there to play the free safety spot. Okay. The bill is at 26.
Starting point is 01:04:01 Eman Worry, of course. Yeah, yeah. Sorry, guys. How could you forget? Yeah. Oh, let's see how this board fell. I am going to go with a little bit of maybe a surprise here. Okay.
Starting point is 01:04:16 I'm going to go with Malachi Lawrence. Swing big for the bills. Because I thought about T.J. Parker, who has a much higher floor. But the bills need that swing for the fences gifted pass rusher. Okay. And you know, you think about the division they play in where you'd like to have that chase speed on the edge when you're dealing with Drake May and Malik Willis.
Starting point is 01:04:39 So, yeah, the ultra-athlet and pass rush-first kind of edge rusher and Malachi Lawrence for the bills. Is this as simple as Proctor? I know Casey is there. Concepcion is there. Well, no, did we take him off the board? Do we draft him? Casey's still here, I thought. He's, no, he's still there.
Starting point is 01:05:03 Yeah, yeah, Mikey Lemon was a little bit later, so. I think they'd take Sadiq in this spot. I don't think Sadiq will be there, though. Oh, right. Kittal off the Achilles. Yeah. That's what I think they would do. But this is your pick.
Starting point is 01:05:19 It's not the Niners pick. It's your pick. No, I'm going to take Caleb Proctor. I'm going to take Caleb Proctor. Caden Proctor. Well, we could take Caleb Proctor. I mean, he is on the up. I feel like he is, you know, a late riser within the draft process.
Starting point is 01:05:38 Yes, yes. But let's take Caden Proctor. I just love the idea of him playing left guard next to Trent Williams. and then when Trent Williams retires, then you can put him out over at left tackle. All right, the Texans at 28, they've done a good job stabilizing this offensive line a little bit. I don't feel like I need to,
Starting point is 01:06:00 I have to take one here. Man, you have the luxury idea of Sadiq. We've talked about Peter Woods a lot in this spot. I like as great. Gracie's just losing her mind. Gracie's getting in. She's like, it's been over an hour, what are we doing? It's like, you got seven more to go there, girl.
Starting point is 01:06:23 All right. Phone her in, she wants to make the pick. Let's get a dog translator in here. Might come as a surprise, Trevor, and there's risk here. I'm gonna take Caleb Banks. Ooh. I have at McDonald, Kristen Miller, Banks. But when Banks is wrong,
Starting point is 01:06:45 Right. Could you imagine Banks at his 2004 form in the Texans defense? I know. I mean, like, look, the foot injuries, I don't know if he goes round one because of it. I don't know either. But he's, you watch the 10 best players from Caleb Banks over the last two years and you'd go, yep, top 15 player. Easy. No question. Easy. We said that over summer.
Starting point is 01:07:06 Now, you watch the whole film and it's not as obvious even with out the injury and consideration, but the kids got all the talent in the world. So I think it's a, I do think that a team like the Houston Texans could take a swing for the fences there. Kansas Chiefs at 29. So I think you had them taking Caleb Downs, right? That's right. Man, Casey Concepcion's still here, right? He is. So is Sadiq. So is Sadiq. Wow. It's one of those two. It's one of those two for me. I'm going to take Sadiq. I like it. I'm glad you did. I'm glad you did. Yeah, give me Sadiq at 29. I'm glad you did. Yeah, give me Sadiq at 20. I don't, I don't think they have to take a tight end,
Starting point is 01:08:02 but I think if they have the ability to at number 29, they would. Yeah, I think they would. Dolphins at 30, I'm going to go with Colton Hood. Their secondary is a mess. I had them take Maui Noah in their top 15 pick. Hood is a physical press man corner that would finally give them something to be excited about on the back end of the defense. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:08:30 New England getting KC, I like as well. Because the O line, it's all right, like in theory, right? They sign Elijah Vera Tucker. You're pretty good on the O line. You still have Hunter Henry at tight end. You got the running game. They signed Romeo Dobbs. Is KC too redundant with Kyle Williams?
Starting point is 01:08:50 And do they really believe in Kyle Williams a ton? And is he too redundant with Dobbs? I don't think he's too redundant with Dobbs. No. They have a lot of guys. They do have a lot of guys. It just kind of comes down to how much faith they have in those players. My problem is if you play them in the role you were talking about,
Starting point is 01:09:10 like Kyle Williams is just better winning down the field. Concepcion is better in the intermediate. But the field, like, yeah, it's weird. It's tough to kind of gauge if that role makes sense. I'm with you. It's questionable. Can I see edge rushers? I might just go edge rushers here.
Starting point is 01:09:33 Who do I have ranked higher? All right, all right. Okay. This is going to come down to a little pretty. review of the board who I've got ranked higher. I have T.J. Parker slightly ahead of Gabe Accus. Okay. So we're going to go T.J. Parker here.
Starting point is 01:09:47 Okay. We're going to go T.J. Parker. 32. Last pick of the first round. And then we'll do a little, you know, do a little recap here. All right. For Seattle at 32, I often go Jadarian price here. I'm not 100% committed to that. I'm open. It just depends like how much you view
Starting point is 01:10:14 an Emmanuel Pregnan as a big upgrade over Anthony Bradford. I think they'd, I think they'd consider a guard. I think they consider one of the, one of the three cards. Specifically, Bessontas or Emmanuel Pregnan. It worked last year with Zabel. So, yeah, I'm going to take Emmanuel Pregnan here at 32 to be their new starting right guard over Bradford. Oh, we're getting Emmanuel Pregdon in the first round.
Starting point is 01:10:40 I can't remember if I have a ticket for him to go in the first round. I think the odds are pretty juicy there. There we go. We're one round in. One of seven. 30 picks down. A lot more to go. A lot more to go. A lot more to go. We're going to have a lot more guests here on the show as well. Yeah, a lot more surprises.
