When I graduated college, I didn't have a job at all.
I was like you.
And I moved back home.
I could tell by like week four, my dad was kind of like,
what are you doing?
Like, he's definitely like silently kind of like, so.
Start running out of money.
Parents are kind of looking at you.
Like, oh, did I raise a loser?
Finally, in the middle of July, I started working.
But like, that's a good six, seven weeks where you're not doing much.
Alfie said quarterback Neil in the third quarter.
That was.
It really was.
college in the city planner day. Congrats, man.
Hey. Now I'm officially just like my idol, Trevor, unemployed.
Congrats on the baby, Connor.
Congrats to you. Welcome to unemployment, baby.
Thank you very much and enjoy your unemployment.
How big of a gap did you have after you graduated college with that and unemployment?
Well, I had an easy, I had an easy way out. I graduated and then I had a couple of weeks off.
immediately went back to like my dad's landscaping company.
I was just going to say it makes sense.
I was doing, you know, some freelance writing and podcasting and stuff on the side for actually,
you know, like what I wanted to do full time.
But I immediately was like full time, went back five days a week for my dad's landscaping
company.
So we got we got back at it right away.
Ron Sigma was not about to have it.
He was not, he was not about to have it.
I was going to have to go down that road.
So I was a.
say a waiter until my senior year.
And then my senior year, I took an internship.
Because it was like, I need something that is a little bit more legit.
And I always tell people, I thought I went to business school.
I thought I was going to be working in business.
I took a business related internship.
Believe it or not, wore a tie every day, all that nonsense.
Hell yeah.
The problem with taking an internship and quitting your job is when I graduated college
and the internship ended, I didn't have a job at all.
I was like you.
And.
and what do you know oh it's like you
he's an absolute freeloader
do jack shit
I mean so it's just like you
yeah yeah so I went I moved
back home and I remember
I was interview I had been interviewing
before I graduated down in New York City
but it was like
I could tell by like week four
my dad was kind of like
what are you doing?
He's definitely like
silently kind of like so.
And to be fair, I was waiting to hear back from
Bleacher Report. I'd gotten job offers
that I did not want to take. So I was really
milking the clock. I mean, really dragging my feet.
And then finally, in the middle of July,
I started working. But like, that's a good
six, seven weeks where you're not doing much. And boy,
you start running out of money.
Parents are kind of looking at you. Like, oh, did I
raise a loser? It's scary hours real
quick. Well, a lot of fun, though. I had a blast. I'm sure you did. I want to do it again.
Brother, brother, so did I. When I was just working landscaping, that's not real responsibility.
I'm showing up and I'm cutting grass. That's what I'm doing, you know? So Alphe said quarterback
Neil in the third quarter. It really was. I mean, man, it was bad. It was real bad.
That's amazing. Yeah. I love that. Wiscoe, in the, in the, in the super chats, gave us a
$100 super challenge.
Thank you,
Connor.
This is for the diaper
and formula fund.
So shout it to Wisco.
Wisco is always great.
You, thank you so much, man.
I got rapid amount of diapers needed.
Who would have known?
Babies,
shitting pee a lot.
Should have been you actually.
You know,
when you say, who would have known?
Actually, should have been you.
I should have prepared for this.
I think, Bryce, you want to read an action for Bryce?
I think he's,
oh yeah.
Take it away, chef.
There we go.
All right.
Bryce, what's up, Big Daddy and Mr.
my wife pays the bills.
Hell yeah, baby.
Miss the last few shows,
but had to make an appearance today.
How about them?
Carolina Hurricanes,
much love from a fellow sleep deprived father.
My wife,
we're in this together.
I do not like the Hurricanes because I'm a Rangers fan,
but congrats to the hurricanes for finally getting across the finish line.
Yeah.
And, you know, weird.
I'm a big hockey fan,
but there's been so much noise around the Knicks
that it was like,
It was a weird Stanley Cup.
Not to take away from Carolina at all.
Hey, if you're a Carolina Hurricanes fan,
oh, go nuts.
Enjoy it.
Yes, I wish.
Am I?
Not in the slightest, brother.
I hate the canes.
Absolutely not.
My wife grew up in North Carolina.
And so the last month,
basically since the lightning of got eliminated.
Every now and then, she's just like,
Wow, arcanes.
Wow, arcades.
Just walking around the house, just arcanes.
I'm like, no.
Absolutely not.
And then, of course, they went it last night.
She just looks at me.
She's like, arcades, baby.
And you're like, still not.
Still not arcane's.
Never will be arcane.
I'm fighting this good fight right now.
As I've said before, my wife and her family are, like my in-laws, are die-hard Islanders fans.
And I am protecting the baby, shielding him.
Yeah, yeah, you've got to do it.
There's just got to be law established around here.
This isn't Deadwood, all right?
Or you just roll up the town and you just have your pistols out in the saloon.
In Islanders gear, you know.
In your freaking Matthew Schaefer jersey.
It's not happening, okay?
I couldn't, I couldn't have named you one Islanders player right now.
I mean, he's the phenom.
But yeah, I couldn't.
I couldn't mean you one.
Anders Lee.
Yeah, okay, I got that one.
You can give me an Anderson Lee.
Yeah, yeah, I could have gotten that one eventually.
I could have got that one eventually.
Kyle said reports coming in from New York.
This is a $5 super chat.
So Conor's son already has longer arms than Rubin Bain.
So what you're saying is future Buccaneer great.
Connor Rogers or Cameron Rogers is what you're saying there.
I can only hope so.
Right now he's built more like a guard, but we'll see how the arm length comes in.
Rich gave us to $10 super chat.
Says Zaddy Connors.
And I'm assuming OF means only fan sycamma because because I'm,
I'm unemployed here.
Don't have an only fan.
You're an outfielder.
Actually, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Outfielder.
Outfielder could work.
I'm kind of like growing my hair out.
I see.
Looks great.
When you see like the lettuce coming out of the hat like this, it is a little bit of a,
it is a little bit of a baseball look.
So I'm going to appear of heart, me, of course.
I'm going to say that's outfielder, Sycambe.
I think so too.
I don't think Only fans.
You haven't hit that level of desperation yet.
No, not yet.
We're getting plugs.
Robert, NFL SC addict.
Connor, congratulations.
Thank you, Robert.
Start Bench Cut, becoming a father.
Nick's NBA title.
You're going to make this bad cut being a father?
I'll do it.
I'll do it.
Team USA gold medal in overtime.
I mean, I have to start the next.
Give the solo cam.
Give it the solo cam.
Put it on the solo cam.
I have to, for now, start the Knicks NBA title.
I waited 30.
years for that. Cam's time is going to come, but right now he's just feeding and chitting.
No, I'm just kidding. Becoming my father is the start. It's absolutely the start, obviously.
And the bench is the Knicks NBA title. I was thrilled when Team USA won the gold medal and
overtime, it was unbelievable, but especially with the COVID Olympic situation and
Team, like, international hockey has had the rules change a lot.
So you just don't get to see Team USA play enough that when it starts, you develop that
attachment.
But the Knicks play every year of my life and stunk almost every year of my life.
I mean, stunk.
So the Knicks have to be the bench over Team USA being cut.
That was beautiful.
That was everything.
And Cameron, if you see any clips when you're old enough to understand,
of me being that beginning part being cut out.
I'm being...
It was AI.
Set up.
It was AI.
It was AI.
You will always be the start.
McLeodum mafia, $5 super chat said some mini-meas.
It's very appropriate.
You get to put together an NFL franchise.
Pick one current owner, general manager, head coach, offensive coordinator,
defense coordinator in the NFL.
Who would it be?
Who's the best owner in the NFL?
That's a good question.
Who is the best owner in the NFL?
I don't know.
I don't think about owner rankings a lot.
I mean, the problem is I can tell you right away who you wouldn't want.
I'm not going to do that right now, but I'm saying that's what I think more quickly of.
Yeah.
Who is the GM?
Is it Roseman?
Is it Howie?
Howie has the title.
I think it's Howie.
Head coach, go McVeigh.
I'd go McVeigh.
I would go McVeigh.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I would go McVeigh.
Offensive coordinator.
John Bond says the owners of the Vikings.
I just don't know.
I just don't know enough about owners to really rank them.
Yeah, I would think the Ravens, what is it, Biscotti?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So the only reason I know that is I know from people that, like,
the people that play there are blown away by how much money he puts into the team all the time.
Which is key, which is not just like going out and paying players.
but like the facility is always very modern.
So that's, yeah, Jags for sure.
Everybody's saying Packers, which is funny.
But like.
Well, they're only saying that because they're the owners, you know.
That's a joke of it.
It's an inside job.
But I think it's more fun to just go GM down.
Yeah, we said, Howie McVeigh.
Offense coordinator.
Like Dable, maybe.
And you, Mike McDaniel, obviously.
Mike McDaniel would be would be my, would be my,
pick.
Probably.
Because he could do the run game for McVeigh, which he used to do for Shanahan.
Yeah.
And then, and you have to pick coordinators, not like a head coach to be the coordinator.
Right, right, right, right.
D.C., I think I'd pick Flores.
Yeah, I think I'd pick Flores, too.
He's just, yeah, is there anybody, I think it'd be Flores.
Yeah, there you go.
Van Choseph's done a hell of a job with the Broncos.
Yes.
Flores just doesn't really have bad years.
No.
Which is so hard.
Yeah, it'd be Flores.
Yeah, before I was on that one.
Josh gave us a $100 super chat.
Wow.
Thank you,
met a guy that worked for Big Tux.
He let me know that Big Tux will do anything
to make sure a special team's
NFLSE episode never happens.
We'll know who is taking Big Tux money.
Wow.
Wow, this is some reverse psychology from Josh.
Yeah, this is some CIA level stuff from Josh.
Wow.
Sports Tad Arena said,
Connor, how much did you turn up with the Knicks won?
So, I mean, I was super, super pumped.
But I did get to watch the game, like, full, like, you know, TV, locked in, blah, blah.
Kristen had the baby.
But the celebration I was watching on my phone with him on my lap.
I'm sure.
Care of the baby.
Yeah, but that's the best way to celebrate.
It was amazing.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
It's I have a great picture of him sitting on my lap with Jalen Brunson with the championship hat on, on my phone.
So, yeah, I didn't get to.
party necessarily, but I will say
waking up the next day and I didn't
sleep much that night at all because of the Knicks
and because of having a baby
was as good as I think I've
ever felt. I felt
invincible. I'm sure.
Like scary, invincible.
Dangerously invincible. I will chase
that feeling forever. Class clowns and
congrats Connor. Can't wait to see another New York
championship in 34 years now.
Gonna come around like jeepers, creepers. That's funny.
No, we've bucked the trend.
It's turn now.
Draft Donkey gives us $15 super chat.
I think I speak for all addicts in asking,
can we have a dedicated episode
where all of the super chats go to a fabric investment account
for Lil Rogers?
Oh, we'd love to support the little man's future.
We could make that happen.
I think we can make that happen.
Thank you, draft hockey.
Charlie, Connor will be able to afford
a quarter of a child's fanatics Jets jersey with this.
Congrats again, big dog.
Thank God.
I was bored one day years ago and clicked on NFL SC video.
It changed my life.
You're the man, Charlie.
Thank you for the 100 euros, man.
Too kind.
You guys are all too kind.
I don't even know how to repay you guys.
I truly don't.
Hopefully a laugh on a show over time is chipping away at that.
All right, a couple more.
And then we're getting out of here.
Jace, just put a $100 bet on Borgantcher for Offence Rookie of the Year.
When I win it, I'm putting Safeway out of business.
Can't think of a better way to spend an investment like that.
Angel Sanchez, $5 Super Chat,
said thoughts on Zavian Thomas with Ben Johnson
and being a dual player in that offense and special teams.
I like the landing spot for Xavier and Thomas.
I just think a lot of his targets are also Luther Burden targets.
Right.
And Luther Burden, like if Luther Burden were to go down for whatever reason,
I think that they'd be very comfortable putting Zavian Thomas in that role.
I just don't think right off the bat he'll be able to do that.
Caleb, $5 Super Chat said love the channel.
Can't wait to experience once in an all-time summer scouting class with you, boys.
He's a PS screw Bangle.
What did Bangle do?
Amazing $5 super check.
Is that just, wait, is that just the rivalry?
Or did something happen?
He's just on the right side of history.
So it's good to, Caleb, it's good on you for taking a stand on what you believe in.
Hey, I need, hey, I need Bangle to tell me whether or not I should be buying Madden for the franchise mode.
That's that.
I need Bangle for that.
Yeah, I do rely on that.
Although, yeah, we'll see.
Although, man, is this the year I buy Madden again?
It might be, you might be, you might be.
you might be up a lot in the middle of the night.
So you might need something.
You know what I'm saying?
Oh, yeah.
I'm grinding the 007 game right now.
Oh, nice, nice.
Tony Lee gave us another $10.
Said, what are the chance we get a live show in person at the Senior Bowl week?
Addics who would be down for a meetup in Mobile.
We have talked about that as an ideal option to do a live show.
So we're going to continue to talk about that this year.
Football fraud said, what do you guys most listen to podcast in your rotation?
Mine's always the All Fantasy Everything podcast.
It's a podcast with three communities.
where it has nothing really to do with sports very much.
Right.
It's just a way where I don't have to think about sports and I get to laugh.
So it's pretty much it.
Yeah.
Yeah, same.
I don't really listen to a ton of sports podcast.
The only one I do religiously is my guys at Blue Shirts Breakaway.
It's just a Rangers only podcast.
So, but I'm just a fan.
I don't cover hockey.
And then I listen to like, yeah, a lot of like TV, pop culture entertainment kind of like show reviews kind of stuff.
Like when you work in sports and you do podcasting nonstop,
it's hard to then go turn on.
100%.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Last two,
obvious said Balogun, hashtag American legend, absolutely.
Oh my goodness.
Yeah.
Unreal, dude.
I could,
you talk about flying high.
Talk about can't tell me nothing.
Me after that game is basically how I felt.
And then Eli said,
congrats Connor and Kristen.
Thanks,
when will Cam get his first butt fumble viewing?
P.S.
you guys missed the offensive rookie,
the clear offensive rookie of the year.
Jager Burton,
the offensive line for the Packers.
That's good call out.
we did miss out.
Yeah, the butt fumble will not be taught in our history books.
Peter said you flip the burgers, Trevor.
Yeah, that's what I'm going to do.
Read these super chats and then we're going to flip the burgers.
That's how it's going to go, Peter.
That's what Evan Neal would say to do.
Oh, damn, topical.
Topical, unfortunately, for this show.
Perfect.
On the show of worst picks.
Uh, let's see.
Subduce Bonds is from McLebun and Mafia.
Star, that's a lot.
I love, I love, doose fawn.
No deuce on slander here.
He's awesome.
Dart, Ben, Ben,
Cut football movies.
Radio Rudy Invincible.
All love, even though I'm a Falcons Braves fan,
your mortal Safeways.
Um,
I haven't seen.
What a collection of movies.
I saw radio once a long time ago.
Yeah.
I would start Invincible anyways.
I don't know if that's the wrong take.
No, I think a lot of people would agree.
A lot of people hate Rudy.
I didn't hate Rudy.
I don't hate Rudy, but I know a lot of people do.
I haven't seen, I don't remember enough of radio to rank it, to be honest with you.
I just don't.
I watched you so long ago.
Yeah, same.
I feel this.
I have seen radio, but I mean, we're probably talking about, man, how many years.
Well, let's see when it came out.
It doesn't even come up on Google because there's other movies.
Oh, no, here we go.
Yeah, Jill and Oh, I wasn't in that one, so I'm safe.
God.
Radio was given a 34% by Rotten Tomatoes.
Whoa.
2003
yeah so I guess I would go
invincible
start invincible bench Rudy
and then cut radio
but I think I got to watch radio again
I think I'd be the same
with the possibility
that that changes
Charlie gave us a $20 super chat
said next scammer is going to be
in the Discord impersonating Trevor like
how's the job search going
sorry Treve love you
shout out to my goat
it's Connor and Tyler as well
shout out to you Charlie we appreciate
you being on every single show
that we do
because I know you are
and then also
made your voice
in the Discord as well.
So we very much appreciate you as a true addict.
Tony Lee.
Yes, thank you, Charlie.
I always enjoy seeing you.
Wait, do you see Tony's Avey?
Do you see his profile picture?
The 500 Club custom logo.
Oh my gosh.
Tony is the goat.
It's good that Tony has a profile picture now.
Oh, yeah.
And boy, is it a good one.
Yes, you are in the 500 Club.
How's it going, guys?
Shout out to my fellow 500 club members.
There is.
I love to hear you guys Mount Rushmore
of rewatchable TV shows.
Oh, wow.
That is a very different question than your favorite or best TV shows.
The most rewatchable.
I'm going to start right out of the gate with how we open the show.
Band of Brothers is on my Mount Rush more of most rewatchable because I literally watchable.
Because I literally watch it every year.
Can we include movies or is it just shows?
I think I'm going to go with shows just because this can get real wild.
Okay.
All right, right.
Okay.
So Band of Brothers, Sopranos for me.
I've watched it a couple different times.
This is like a light watch, but it's re-watching, not the best.
Entourage.
Okay.
These are just personal.
So I'll go, yeah.
Band of Brothers, Sopranos, Entourage.
I've gone all three HBO series, I just realized.
What's the fourth?
I'm going to read the check because they'll remind me of some.
Mine would be Dinus Rivens and Dives.
Okay.
Immediately.
I like that pick.
probably although
man I haven't watched this in a long time
but like it used to be
how met your mother in scrubs
like those would be too
now they're just not on TV a lot anymore
but like when those shows were on TV
used to watch them all the time
so those were to
and then what's another one
I mean
maybe Game of Thrones
like would be my answer there I guess
Thrones in its heyday
was very, very rewatchable.
And so it was the most recent one night
of the Seven Kingdoms.
Yeah.
But I like that you picked,
like, picking Triple D is a good one
because it's actually when you scroll channels.
Yeah, yeah.
My scrolling channels
is probably Bar Rescue.
Oh, okay.
Like, I could sit there when I'm at my parents' house
and I don't feel like firing up the show.
I'll leave Bar Rescue on.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But that's a guy,
I feel like I have a better fourth.
one. My wife and I used to watch Loveder Listed all the time, like when it was on HGTV, just like the home
channel. Yeah, beachfront bargain hunt is a business. It's like it's the dumbest thing ever.
They're like, I want an in-ground pool, a five-bedroom house on the beach, raised, kitchen's got to be new,
bathrooms redone. All right, what's your budget? $135,000. Every time. And then they show them one for like
215 and they're like, that's a best,
hey, you can have it. We can have it on a desolate wasteland,
you know, we just got to find a piece of property around the world where the
actual land value is negative.
They're paying you to live there.
Yes.
Yes.
Oh, I did see somebody, yeah, like Grenade said, Letterkenny.
I agree.
Letterkenny is very rewatchable, especially the first couple of seasons.
Oh, man, I've seen the clips of Letterkenny, but I've never actually watched the show.
It's the first couple of seasons are insanely rewatchable.
All right.
I lost where we are.
Manners Nation, give us $10.
What's up, Small Fries?
Who would you say is the Logan Paulson of this year's draft?
Also, start bench cut.
Logan Paulson, Caps goalie,
Logan Thompson, and Logan Thomas.
Love y'all.
Hailed of the commanders.
That is a very command.
This is such a DC question.
Friend of the show, Logan Paulson.
Yes, yes, absolutely.
A good friend of the show.
I mean, I have to start.
I have to start Logan because Logan's legitimately the only one of the three that is a fashionable friend.
And then I guess I'll, I don't like the caps.
So I'll cut.
No, we got to go with Logan Thomas out of respect.
Play two positions in the NFL, play quarterback and play tight end.
Yeah, he's benched.
Yeah.
And then we're cutting caps goalie because there's a lighting household here.
So we're not, we're not going to.
Yeah, we don't like the caps.
Right.
21 chill 12
what Trevor meant was white corners
dude all time you had me in the first half
you were like I think Cooper de jean is really going to change
how people view this position and view the
oh you thought that I was saying like everyone did
me the check everyone was like he said talking about white corners
but no you're just talking about
yeah I mean the movie look we've had
wait was Riley Moss before or after
before
okay so we still still
haven't had a white horn or since.
Yeah, we can't go back to Jason Seahorn.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Yeah, I wasn't going there, but hey, you know, maybe.
Troy Apkey, is Troy Apkey still around?
Oh, my God, what a call.
I only remember it because of Dion Sanders' reaction during the combine when he ran like the
4-3.
Yeah, Dion was like, wow, I'm surprised he ran that time, and Rich Eisen's like, why?
And he's like, you guys know why?
I can't say it on TV.
Yep.
Let's see.
Jason said Richardson and Moody
cost his team a Super Bowl
for worst picks.
Oh, oh, yeah, yeah.
Ben Grethel, $20 Super Chat.
It's up little swimmies.
That's funny.
Having Memorial Day is
Ameri's underrated a tackle
because he's playing right tackle
and because Joe Burrow caused a lot of
pass blocking pressure issues.
I feel like he's been a great addition.
No, I mean, like I don't see those
as like negatives around him.
Hopefully, after, I got to assume that after the super chat is when we brought up a Mary
to give him his respect.
Because I think that he is on a massive upward trajectory.
And we can be talking about him as one of those draft steals very, very soon.
Yeah.
Sheldon said the Niners are contenders for both best and worst picks in like every draft.
That's what we were laughing about at the end of the show.
Yeah, it's true.
It's true.
Sports debate arena said happy Nixon four day, Connor.
Oh, hell yeah, sports debate arena.
Same to you.
I need the next to win.
I need the Knicks to win it.
Yeah, yeah, I need the Knicks to win it.
I'm so, I'm so in on the Knicks winning the NBA title.
Because the next 10 years are just going to be alternating between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Spurs.
Like we're just going to, we're just going to alternate for the next decade.
So I need the Knicks to get one.
Well, that's the new thing is everybody's like, oh, wait until their next round and the Knicks are in trouble.
Every single round.
Yeah, baby.
Every single round.
That's what everybody says.
and they just keep winning every game.
So wait till the next round.
I do worry about the Thunder and the Spurs, rightfully.
So when we get there, we'll talk about that.
Unfortunately, you should.
Nah, Josh Hart's going to lock their ass up.
McKellberg is going to lock their ass up.
Trinidady said the Titans drafted the offensive line,
Jekai Polite.
Yeah, sadly.
In the first round.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's tough.
Andrew also gave us the shout out of franchise left tackle, Jordan Mila,
in the seventh round for whatever draft that was.
What was that?
20, 20?
I think so.
Oh, now I got to make sure I get this right.
2018.
God.
Axel Ron said, what would an all-time Bucks Jets roster look like?
Sadly, you don't want to know.
Yeah, maybe a longer combo for another day.
That is a, that is a, that is a,
longer question for a night time.
Is Tom Brady the quarterback?
Yes, of course he's a quarterback.
Because he was still really good with the Bucs.
Yes.
Yeah, that's actually really funny.
Who else is it going to be?
That's actually, Joe Namath.
I don't know if you heard of him.
No, I haven't.
No, I haven't.
No, I have.
Oh, back when his games were in black and white?
Here we go.
Plumbers and electricians.
Yeah, everybody loves to do that.
No, I would never say that.
Those guys are the backbone of America.
Everybody laughs at them until you got to call them and you're screwed.
Yeah.
Now, I'm not going to call him to pay, I'm not going to call him to play quarters against Joe Namath, but, you know.
That's good point.
We can't have you isolated against Rob Grunkowski.
after replacing a toilet.
Yeah, it's going to be a nightmare.
It's going to be a nightmare.
That's an all-timer.
T.S.R. said, this is the last one here, $5.
What are your thoughts in the absolute mind-melting experience
that is the movie draft day?
Connor, you hate it, right?
It's one of the worst films ever approved
to be viewed by the public.
No, I think it's iconic.
The fact that I just, I, you know, everybody talks about dream guests?
Everyone's like, oh, who's your dream guess?
and people are like, well, I'd like to talk to Randy Moss,
and I'd like to interview, you know, Vince Lombardi.
And my dream guess is the quality control team of the movie draft day,
because there's just no way they existed.
There's no way they wrote that script and put that movie through,
and said, is this what the NFL and the NFL draft is like?
And the quality control team that was paid to review,
it said, this is exactly what the NFL and NFL draft is like.
I don't know how many quality control.
I think you're giving Hollywood a little too much credit.
Like I don't I don't think there's a control quality control
roster on a lot of these films.
I think they just make it.
And if anybody disagrees, they're like,
nah,
just lock this guy out of the room.
Like we don't need to hear that negativity.
The budget for draft day.
So Ron said he interviewing somebody that does exist.
That's the,
that's why it's a dream guest.
Draft Day's budget was $25 million.
Yeah, and what did it make?
29.8.
Oh, but see?
Positive oral I.
How about that hot shot?
Such a disgrace.
You're so mad that made money.
Charlie says he has the biggest piece of dog shit of all time.
It's so bad.
The rock, the rock meme, or he just like looks at the camera, he's like,
it's the biggest piece of dog shit.
That's the...
I don't even hate it.
I actually love...
I actually love the debate, the passionate debate that it causes.
Yes.
Yes, it's horrific.
By the way, Tony gave us, this is the last super chat.
He gave us the Mount Rushmore, rewatchable shows for him.
He said, Band of Brothers, the Wire, Community, and the Sleeper Pick is the Leftovers.
I've never seen The Leftovers.
The Leftovers is one of my favorite series of all time.
Really?
Only, I've only watched it twice because it is insanely heavy and thought provoking that it's not, it's one of my favorite series.
It's not one of my most rewatched series, but you should watch it, Trev.
It is so good.
I have not seen community.
Oh, that's a bit.
I have, I know the show, but I just, I don't watch a lot of show.
Yeah, I haven't seen community, but 88% on Rotten Tomatoes.
I'm surprised anybody.
The wire, amazing.
Never seen it.
Yeah, it's amazing.
It's, uh, the wire is almost like American history.
I know.
Everybody is, a lot of people have tried to bully me into watching it.
Yeah, it's, it's, it's, and the bullying should continue, honestly, for everything that I've heard about it.
Yeah.
Yeah, you learn a lot.
I get the cultural, I get a lot of the cultural references, the pop culture references for it.
Oh, it's a meme machine.
Right, right, right.
But some of the most famous memes are from the wire.
I know.
I know.
I know.
Yeah.
Chris Tipton, first time, long time.
Thanks for getting me through NP school.
You all influenced me to have an uncrustable.
at the end of the Narrows and Zion
and P, much love. Hey, there we go.
Much love to you, Chris.
Yeah.
McLevin Mafia.
Whoa.
Sup little rascals.
Jesus.
We'll start bench cut for you here.
Here we go.
Football movies.
We got Remember the Titans?
We got We Are Marshall.
We got Friday Night Lights.
Hashtag stick to the don you later.
All right.
Can I give you a confession?
Yeah, go ahead.
Which one you haven't?
you haven't seen
we are Marshall
correct
yeah that's not like a creetious
yeah correct
it's good though
you should watch it
I've been told it's good
I've been told
yeah
it's actually
what's the IMDB
what's the Rotten Tomatoes here
probably not great
but it's
I would actually argue
it's become oddly underrated
all right
over under on
rotten tomatoes
do you think
that this movie
and I want to chat in
on this as well
do you think
that
this movie has a
it's a good number here
58 and a half
percent over under
Rod tomatoes is really tough
I'll go with the under
okay all right
we're gonna give it a little bit of time for the chat
let's see what their answers are here
over under IMDB grades
over under 58 and a half
58 and a half
oh they're saying
IMDB grades the overrunner
for IMDB is
I'll just go
seven over under seven what you guys think yeah i'd go under seven's pretty high for imdb so it's over on
i mdb it's a seven point one nice i mdb respects we are marshal and on rotten tomatoes it is a 48
yeah i knew rotten tomatoes wouldn't wouldn't go for it yeah to answer this as much as i think
we are marshals actually underrated mconehaye's pretty solid in it's got a pretty good soundtrack
I think it tells a very difficult story without trying to be like too over the top.
Yeah.
It probably by nature is the cut here because remember the Titans is a classic.
Although that's my bench because Friday Night Lights is a start.
Friday Night Lights is.
Friday Night Lights captures the team element in a way that is just, it's tough.
Friday, I mean, remember the Titans is an easy start for a lot of people, and I get that.
But Friday Night Lights is definitely very, very gritty.
Friday Night Lights is a lot.
Injury.
No, it's tough.
And him trying to come back and then him crying in the car, you know, like, it's tough.
It's tough, man.
The quarterback, Mike Winchell, like, growing up in a really, like, not great home situation
and trying to find a scholarship.
It's just a grittier, like, football movie.
They're very different movies.
They're so different.
They're very different.
from movies. But if you enjoy Friday Night Lights more, go for it. Yeah, I don't even think,
you know, it's funny, I don't enjoy it more. Like when, remember the Titans is on, I'm like,
oh, this isn't easy, like keep this on. But I, if I'm really trying to sit down and walk into a
movie for two plus hours and like put it a movie on, Friday Night Lights is very intense and
I enjoy that aspect of it. And also, I grew up in the Northeast. So,
So watching that movie as a kid, it was eye-opening seeing what Texas high school football was like.
It's, yeah, it's great.
I was like, oh, this is different than, this is very different than where I grew up.
High school football in the South is not that, you know, like, you know, California and Virginia, obviously like those, like Ohio, those are, they have great high school football as well.
But like, it really is just a religion in the South for a lot of places.
And I think that that movie does do a great job at showing how a lot of people,
look at high school football as,
and I think that this is what they do the best job of in that movie,
as like the pinnacle of some people's lives.
It's the community.
And you, but like you talk about kids who are 16, 17, 18 years old,
you know, sophomores, juniors, seniors,
and this like varsity high school football journey that you have,
you know, let's say, let's say you don't make the varsity team when you're a freshman.
Let's say maybe you make it as a sophomore, but you don't really play.
Let's say you kind of get to be a rotational player as a junior
And then you get to start as a senior
Like you were there are a lot of people who are in
Communities like that who like again
They think that's that's the crown jewel
Because what is a man who's the country music singer
Who's the actor in that movie?
Goodness gracious
The chat's gonna be pissed at me
Tim McGraw?
Yes, yes, yes
And so like him as a father
He's like talking to his son
and he's basically like living in the past all these years later.
Like he considers playing high school football to be the greatest moments of his life.
That's right.
Proudest life accomplished.
They do a great job of, I think, encapsulating a lot of that stuff.
I think so, too.
Somebody said Shibusi.
Good guess.
Wasn't quite famous when that movie came out.
But I would, I will start, remember the Titans out of respect.
I will bench.
Pride Night Lights and then obviously cutting
We Are Marshall because I haven't seen it
That was a good one though
That was a really good one
Good collection of movies to decipher through
Yeah
Do you have any longest yard takes?
All right, sure what do you?
No, I was just curious like
Have you ever seen the OG?
No, I actually haven't
When you get a chance, watch it
It's phenomenal
You're using the word phenomenal.
Yeah, there's just something about the...
I mean, they're both good in their own ways.
But I think Bert Reynolds is the...
The one in 1974.
And it's just once again, it's like grittier,
just the way it opens, it's nuts.
So, yeah.
Also, a 7.1 on IMDB.
Oh, really?
The OG longest yard.
So we're just...
Yeah.
Okay, all right.
I got to watch.
I got to watch it then.
Okay.
Tony Lee.
And it's an NFLSC
trivia question for you guys.
Oh boy.
Who were the first two prospects
talked about
in the first summer scouts
in the first episode of summer scouting
hint it was quarterbacks
and one of them
is on this list.
Who are the first two quarterbacks
that we talked about for the show?
I think for like the first episode
of summer scouting ever, right?
That's the
question.
Hmm.
It would have been
Caleb.
It would have, no.
Wouldn't have been
Bryson
Stroud?
Well, they're
asking this question
for a reason,
so there's got to be a,
there's got to be a,
a trick here.
Yeah, I'm curious to see
with Tony.
Who is the other good
quarterbacks in 2024?
Hold on.
Unless we,
unless we didn't do
summer scouting for the
20203 class.
No, we didn't.
You're right. It is that it would be, it would be the Bo Nix class, I think.
Oh, it is? So you think it's the Knicks class?
What was the first year of summer scouting? I don't even know.
When did we start the pod? I thought we started the pod in 2022.
January 2020. But not with summer scouting. So it would have been 2020 for the 2024 NFL draft. Yes.
So it would have been Bo Nix would have been one of the guys.
You think?
No. First two?
No, it would have been Caleb and Drake?
Oh, we worked our way down back then.
We didn't work our way up the rankings.
Then yeah, it would have been Caleb and Drake.
Oh, no, maybe you're right.
No, maybe you're right.
You're right. You're right.
You're right.
No, Tony said it would have been your number five quarterbacks that year.
Oh.
Yeah, so it would be Knicks.
He said one of them was from today's show.
It would be Bo.
Okay, so Bo is one of them.
I don't know who the other one was because they weren't on this list.
Who?
I know we didn't cover Jaden that summer.
No.
I know we talked about Caleb, we talked about Drake May, we talked about panics.
I mean, Spencer Rattler, maybe.
Oh, man, it might be Rattler.
Was it Rattler?
Or who were the quarterbacks in the next year's class?
Did somebody go back?
Not anybody that notable.
Let me see.
Dylan Gabriel, no.
Jackson Dork, Kim, Kim Ward, no, no.
I think it was Rattler.
Oh, was that?
Was that Graham Mertz?
Oh, man.
Was that when I had Graham Mertz at four or five?
Come on.
That's a hell of a call if it's, it's Graham Mertz.
Was it Mertz?
It might be Mertz.
Somebody saying Joe Milton, Pizuka Joe.
Hell yeah.
I got to know if this was, uh, if this was Graham Mertz.
Oh my God.
Tony Lee said I had Anthony Richards.
as five and you had Tanner McKee.
What a callback.
So was Richardson from today's show?
Yikes!
I mean, you had him at five.
Yeah, I'm fine.
I could live with that.
Yeah, you could do that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Hammer gave us a $10 super chat said.
Shout out Joey Porter Jr.
Where would he have been?
Or would be on here,
but the dolphins just had to tamper with Tom Brady.
That is true.
That is true.
That's a good super chat, Hammer.
I feel like I had Joey Porter Jr. like 30s,
is when I first had him on the list and then realized that I couldn't count him
because he wasn't a first round pick.
Yeah.
Let's see.
Aiden said,
are you picking up any of these fifth year options yet?
Any of them?
Yeah, probably.
Yeah,
that's a long,
that's a show on its own.
Yeah.
Mr.
Jack Matt,
for all the Ryan Poles hate,
he's some deserved.
He's nailed his first round pitch.
picks for the bear so far.
Let's see.
Well, it was also clear when when Ben Johnson got there, they really had an identity on
players, which helps a lot.
First rounders this year, obviously, Dylan Thineman, phenomenal pick.
I mean, yeah.
Last year, Colson Loveland, nailed it.
The year before Caleb Williams, Roma Dunzeeysay, if Romo Dunesay is your worst first
round pick, I think that you've, you're doing pretty good.
Darnell Wright, the year before in 2023.
Okay, yeah.
Mr. Jackman.
Correct.
certified
verified
a good take
uh
andrew admittedly
an Eagles fans here
but I have serious problem
with having J.C. Latham
over Nolan Smith
and Connors List
it's wild to me
could be a good wild
wild good wild bat
yeah
could be wild like you're out
in nature you know
like Yellowstone
Yellowstone's wild
you know
Yosemite National Park
that's wild
this next one is fascinating
to me
from sports to Baterina
Okay.
Hot take, but I'd have Harmon really low.
Not just because of the player,
but because of how good Dart and Shuck were,
they had an off-ramp at a quarterback purgatory.
That's a fascinating take.
And I know it's easy to always do that,
well, you could have took this player here and there,
but like the Steelers have genuinely needed a quarterback
for a long time.
It's interesting.
Derek Harmon is solid to me,
but it's still a good point.
Yeah, I do think they need a solid player.
It's a good point to bring up though
It is, it is, it is
And that is one of the fun layers
of this exercise that like you could have
That I just
I did not think about that with Derek Harmon
And I think that you can go pretty deep
Into all this
Moosephor
Oh man
They love the movie Star Bench Cuts
Star Bench Cut
Jurassic Park Indiana Jones
Lord of the Rings
I've seen like one Jurassic Park man
It was the original one.
Well, I was going to say the only one.
And now we're like, now we're, now we're, now it's nine million of them.
Now it's basically a fast and furious franchise.
They're like, the dinosaurs are in space, you know.
And Vin Diesel's like, you know, rolling around, you know, it just.
World.
I think that was the, the, when they brought it back.
That one was good.
Jurassic World.
Jurassic World.
That's the one that came out in 2015.
I think that's the first time they brought it back from the original
three. I thought world was good. I don't know why they kept going after that. They've been
terrible. I liked two as a kid, but I don't know if I'd actually enjoy it now because everybody
looks at two and three as not good. One is a all-timer. All-timer. The problem with this
question is, I love the original Jurassic Park, like you said. I could kind of take or leave the rest of
them where Lord of the Rings, you don't think of one movie.
You think of the trilogy.
Correct.
And the trilogy is incredible.
Yeah, you think of a 10-hour journey.
It's a, it's a 10-I, yeah, it's a journey.
And then Indiana Jones, amazing.
Amazing.
But, like, it's not fair Jurassic Park.
I think Jurassic Park is, by nature, the cut here, because they're standing on one
great movie, where Lord of the Rings has to be the star because the trilogy is, as I see
in the chat, Masterclass.
It is.
It's a masterclass.
It's incredible.
Indiana Jones is great.
So I'll start Lord of the Rings.
I'll bench Indiana Jones.
It feels weird to cut Jurassic Park because it's a great movie.
The series just doesn't have the same volume hits as the other two.
I'm the same.
I'm the same for you.
I didn't see Indiana Jones any Indiana Jones movies until like three years ago.
Raiders of the Lost Ark is amazing.
Yeah.
Incredible classic.
Yeah.
Harrison Ford like just in his bag back then.
He was.
He was indeed.
I mean, dude, just always and forever is.
but especially back then it's yeah
Tony Lee gave us a $10 super chat
love this episode on talking past
drafts my takeaway
for me as a Jets fan
from your list
they finally ate their vegetables
and have two good
good to great tackles
didn't go with the flash
so my whole thing was the year
they were supposed to take Bowers or Olu
I was like it sucks they're in this spot
but see sometimes you have to eat your vegetables
you can't just have dessert
before you eat.
So, like, they needed to take the tackles
and credit to them they did.
Scepter said, just donating
to the Charger's Schedule Fund
for next year, so unfair.
The Charger Schedule sucks.
Who signs
off on that from the league? Like, yeah,
sucks to suck.
What an awful job with the Chargers
they did. It was bad. It was...
It's not even like they can kind of hide it.
It's so egregious.
I think the problem is that you
and this is just a decision that the league has to be okay with.
Like when you have all these different primetime games and it's got to be on this
streaming service and it's got to be this day and now we've got a Thanksgiving Eve like,
okay, but it definitely comes at a price.
Like you have to then probably put some teams in some not great situations given who they
have to play because of where they finished or who's in their division or
international games and things like that.
It's tough, man.
Like there's no way to do the schedule where somebody doesn't get screwed.
but yeah, this is going to be a tough.
I said this on the check the mic show with Sam.
Like if the charges make the playoffs this year,
what an unbelievable job that is for Jim Harbaugh to be able to do that.
I know people asking the chat.
The real down low on it is,
they have the worst rest disadvantage since 2013.
Yep, yep.
They play a million top flight teams coming off their buys.
And they have a lot of miles that they have to travel
because they have an international game.
And they play in a tough division.
and they have a top 10 strength of schedule.
It's brutal.
And, and, like, their schedule doesn't even set up well for them.
It's, they have a buy, but, like, in between the by, it's like Ravens and Chiefs.
It's like, at Ravens and at Chiefs.
It's like, oh, okay, great, glad we got the week off.
It's tough.
Thanks, my legs are broken.
Yeah.
Sports debate arena said, if you can go back in time and draft for Las Vegas in the last two
drafts. You could either take Fuauga and Bowers. Oh, okay, okay. So it's Fuauga over Bowers or Membo and Banks over
Genti. Would you change either? I would take, I would take Mambu instead of Genti. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah,
absolutely. I wouldn't take, I would still take Bowers. Yeah. Him and Mendoza should be cinema.
Yeah. How many of these players are on a Hall of Fame trajectory? Oh. I mean, it's way too early to say that.
That's dangerous.
Ross gave us $5 super chat, said,
got to keep Trev unemployed for the $5.
I appreciate it.
Thank you.
Thank you, thank you.
Nice job, Ross.
Thank you.
Oh, Michael said JSN at pick number 20 when he didn't even play the year prior should be number one.
Interesting.
Interesting thought process there.
Eli, start bench cut, elite offensive line, elite pass rusher or an elite secondary.
I'll start the offensive line.
I agree.
I'll bench the pass rush
I agree the secondary
yeah
it's yeah
yep
it's how games are won kids
yep
but hey
if you have
a elite secondary
good for you
nice to have

Yeah, T-R-1.
It's one of the best bits, most underrated bits on the show.
Wither Goat-talk, Goatmire, all he knows.
Gio said, guys, I love Mestemaker.
The Drew Mestemaker, the quarterback from North Takasu is now at Oklahoma State.
I think he's so hard to read for opposing defenses.
I'm European, and he plays like these soccer, in parentheses, real football,
players that don't come from big academy,
so they're very unorthodox with how they play.
I have watched Mestemaker,
but I'm not going to give away my thoughts,
because that's easy to love.
There's a lot of things that you could absolutely like about this.
Is that $249 in Czech money?
I don't know.
That's, uh, yeah.
What is it, the Karunas?
Man, lovely place.
Remember, I've been there once.
Damn.
And it's like 40 cents for a beer.
It's just how life should be.
I mean, I'm probably exaggerating.
But I think it was literally like a dollar and six cents American for a beer.
And it was great.
Yeah, lovely place.
Mahal, this is the last one here.
Shout out to Unicorn Town.
2022 documentary funded by Christian McCaffrey about a German league team who won the league that year.
That last part wasn't planned.
Well, hopefully not.
You can't be rigging.
You can't, guys, you can't be rigging stuff in real life.
Right.
right
you got reuben bain to the bucks
who would do that
look at the evil behind those eyes
how would that even be scary stuff
how would that even be possible
you give it a few years and right there
it's gonna be a rubin bain jersey
your new camera does have a villain filter
somebody said that earlier and it's
like just a touch
we did miss one from kevin
that i didn't want to uh he wrote
the chat asked that we can get to it
uh kevin said what's up short stacks justice for safeway
top tier 10
Wow, okay.
Okay, okay, all right.
Thoughts on averaging summer scouting rankings and revealing players one by one.
I think we could average summer scouting rankings, but I think it's a lot better when we have our individual lists, to be honest with you.
So like we have our list and we're revealing the lists against each other.
But he's saying that like then we could have an NFLSC, you know, like official like, hey, here's the rankings based on us averaging sort of where each of us had those players.
I mean, we could do that part of it, but I still, for the show, I still like having, that's the fun of it.
Yeah, yeah.
Trinidad gave us a $10 super chat, said, Conner's son's birthday is a mere 84 days away from Dominique Orange's birthday.
Coincidence, I think not.
I also agree.
Good eye.
Trinidad, that's a good eye there.
Sully gave us a $2 super chat said, Cameron McPounders Rogers.
That also is an appropriate middle name for Connor's son as well.
Lucas, $5 super chat said, join the addicts prior to the drafts.
and been loving all of the content,
looking forward to experiencing the summer scouting
for the first time.
Praise Jesus. Amen.
I'm also very much looking for it.
I'll just give you guys a little bit of a hint
to where we're at in the process.
I've watched 30 quarterbacks.
I've watched 30 quarterbacks already for summer scouting.
Normally we watch 12, maybe 15.
There are so many names to know in this class.
Genuinely, this class is going to be
so much fun to talk about.
So if you love summer scouting before,
you're going to love it even more this off season,
I promise.
Panthers fan gave us a $10 super chest.
It said non-football related,
but Carolina Hurricanes fan here.
We finally beat the Eastern Conference Finals allegations,
who have you got to win the Stanley Cup,
been stressing me out these last couple of games.
This series is unbelievably evenly match.
Obviously, as you could,
we could tell from game three
where Vegas went up four nothing,
and then I went to,
bed because I'm washed and then I woke up to my friend saying you're going to be so mad when
you see how Vegas won and I looked up the score and saw that it went in a double overtime and
the Carolina scored three goals in 40 seconds and four goals in the third period.
I kind of think that Vegas wins but you know what?
I just as a fan of the sport, I just hope it goes seven games.
And I think if it goes seven games and it's an absolute coin flip because if it goes seven games
to be in Carolina, right? Game 7 would be in Carolina, be insane. Would be insanely lit. Do people
say, do we still say lit? Is this still a thing? Anyways, it will be. But congratulations to
your Carolina hurricanes. There is no greater feeling than watching your team when the Stanley Cup.
So I hope that for you. I really do. Let's see. Childish, it was $14 super chap.
Went to visit some family in Western Canada a few weeks ago, had my first experience in a safe
way. Never have I felt more like I was behind enemy lines in my life. Congress. Conner,
I'm becoming a dad. You were behind enemy lines. And I'm glad that you got out of life because you
just never know when you're in that kind of, when you're in that kind of hostile environment.
York gave us $5 super chat. Say, Trevor bringing the S tier of content. Keep coming. We appreciate it.
York. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. This is a lot of fun. A lot of research to do,
but it was a lot of fun to do as well. Cody, $5 super chat. Wait in this morning at 200
70 pounds, 31% body fat at 6 foot chick, 6 foot 6.
Trevor is a small fry.
With measurements like that, you better believe it, yes.
And you can't host the pot, Cody, with measurements like that.
Cuba gave us a $2 super chat said,
Lions S tier, UDFA Goatmeyer to mentor golf.
That's a good point.
I actually didn't think about Goatmyer being there,
but you're right, UDFA legend, which we've got to think about here.
Luke, $5 super chat said,
Hey, Trev, I'm a former college football player
and I'm waiting to get into,
and I'm wanting to get into scouting.
Could I hop on Discord or a phone call,
even if it is for five minutes?
Luke, get into Discord and message me on Discord,
and I promise that I will try to get to it
as soon as I possibly can.
I would love to help you as best I can.
I've never been to scout myself,
so I don't have necessarily like a pipeline connection
to get you connected with somebody in the league,
but I will, you know, tell you about how I kind of got started and the things that I do.
So, yeah, absolutely.
Messed me on Discord and I'll get back to you as soon as I possibly can.
Sep, $5.
So can the Broncos be moved ahead of the Chargers in the drafting tier, please?
I think they were, weren't they?
Oh.
Oh, okay.
Okay, all right, okay, all right.
There you go, Seth.
They're now ahead of the Chargers.
They're first right before the Chargers.
There you go.
There's a little thing for you.
Appreciate everybody watching the show.
And I just appreciate everybody tuning in for the summer content.
We know that there's a lot of you guys are, you know, away or enjoying the summer or on vacation or just a more relaxed schedule during the summer.
Not as locked into football content as you are, you know, during the NFL season.
But we always really appreciate everybody tuning in during the summer.
Check it back in with us.
And honestly, just hanging out with us as we continue to talk football throughout the dark months, if you will, before the season gets underway.
Make sure you guys mark the calendars 4 p.m.
Eastern time next Monday, summer scouting's kicking off.
Tell your friends.
We'll see you guys at.
