Starting point is 00:00:00 What do you guys think of the Jets overpaying Daniel Jones? A massive one to two year contract and free agency would be a bridge, but really destroy the Colts so that their 2027 first rounders higher. God, that's big brain. Man, that's taking salary dump for a draft pick to a whole other level. Diabolical. And I actually really like that. What's going on, guys?
Starting point is 00:00:31 Trevor Sikima here to run through all of the super chats that we did not get to from the mock draft. We told you we'd get to him. We wanted to make sure that we did because we appreciate you guys. ton and we know that that mock draft episode runs really long. So we weren't going to have the super chat time. But I want to run through all of them here right now to make sure that we can get this into the mailback episode for the following week. No Connor Rogers today because he's flying to the Super Bowl for Super Bowl Media Week because,
Starting point is 00:00:57 of course, the Super Bowl cannot go on without Connor Rogers. I mean, that's just an understood fact. So because of his travel schedule, I'm going to knock him out here. So any of the ones that were specifically for Connor, I'll try to answer as. best I can. Let's get right to it though. Victor, $10 super chat. We appreciate you. Huge fan from Brazil here. We love it. We love all the, I mean, we love all the addicts, but international addicts, man, you guys are, you guys are awesome. Thank you. Love the work from you guys. What are your thoughts in Atlanta's trio in Matt Ryan, Ian Cunningham, and Kevin
Starting point is 00:01:29 Stavansky? What can we expect in terms of priorities and archetypes and free agency in the draft? I'm excited about this one. You know, the Matt Ryan moves a little. strange. I mean, let's just be honest. I mean, they totally cleaned house and then they created an organizational structure just for Matt Ryan specifically to take on this job. So anytime you do that, it's, I'm a little skeptical of whether or not it's going to work, especially because Ryan's got no front office and team building experience. But obviously, one of the best and successful quarterbacks we've seen over the last 15 years. He's a franchise legend. So that part that I like, I like in Cunningham. We've talked about this on a lot of fixture franchises that we've
Starting point is 00:02:09 we've done over the last couple of years that he's been a candidate of ours that we really like he's coming through some really great organizations especially when it comes to team building the ravens the eagles the bears and now with the falcons in terms of you know his chemistry with kevin stifansky and sort of the continuity there you think about offensive linemen i think it already leans into what kevin spansky wants to do i think it's going to be a little bit more of a diverse run game but they still like to kevin sysvansky at least has gravitated towards those athletic offensive linemen those guys that can run that mid and outs and side zone, run blocking concepts.
Starting point is 00:02:41 And so I think that's a perfect fit with what already exists in Atlanta. So I do like that. But then the one note that I'll have is this team's obviously got to get a lot better at receiver specifically at tight end. Kevin Stapansky's been somebody who has emphasized multiple tight ends. Ian Cunningham, certainly under Ryan Poles, they have done that with Cole Komet, getting Colson Loveland as well. So even if they bring Kyle Pitts back, like expect for tight end, in my opinion, to be a
Starting point is 00:03:07 position that they really. gravitate towards, do a lot of research towards, and wouldn't be shocked if we had a tight-end edition there for the Falcons, no matter what, this off season. Alex, $5 super chat. Sup fellow draft junkies, what are the odds we're looking at? One fourth of the first round being on the defensive line, not including Arville Reese. Keep up the great work. Appreciate you, Alex. One fourth of the first round, so that would obviously be eight out of the 32 picks.
Starting point is 00:03:39 I mean, I feel like even just off the top of my head, I could absolutely see that. Ruben Bain, David Bailey, Akeem Messador, Lee Hunter could be in there, Caleb Banks could be in there, Peter Woods could be in there. Man, who else am I thinking? Like maybe R. Mason Thomas, I forgetting somebody at the top that's not obvious. Passers, oh, Keldrick Falk could be one of them, Cassius Howl, right? I mean, now we're at nine. yeah, I mean, I think absolutely one-fourth, certainly even more, maybe even a third of the entire first round could be defensive linemen.
Starting point is 00:04:17 It is that good of a class. Let's see. Ricky, $10 super chat from New York. Feeling validated, my pre-senior Bull Jets Mock draft. Day three picks kept taking Sam Hect, the offensive center from Kansas State, and Demetri's crowd over the offensive tackle from Texas A&M. And most didn't know the name as post-senure Bowl. they're saying that I was right.
Starting point is 00:04:38 Those guys had some of the best weeks of anybody in Mobile. I would definitely agree with that. Crown over at a good first day, a little bit up and down on second and third day, but still was able to stand out more than I thought he would have. Sam Hacked might be the best center in the class. I'm just saying, like I know we all love Connor Lou and Jake Slaughter's kind of up there as well,
Starting point is 00:04:59 but what I saw from Sam Hacked, I mean, people barely got by him, no matter what, winning with power, trying to win with speed, finesse. he was ready for all of it. So great call by you. Parkour, $5 Super Chat. Good Friday. Well, it was good Friday. Connor and Trevor built like Pickle Rickuma. Okay. I like the creativity. Do you guys see Nussmeyer sneaking into the mid-second after the Senior Bowl?
Starting point is 00:05:24 Also, Max I Anature, top of the second type of hype. I would say that there's a chance for both of those things. Certainly depending on what happens with Trinidad Chambliss, but it kind of looks like he's going to be able to go back to school. I mean, he's missing so much of the offseason at this point, trying to get the ability to go back to Old Miss and play another year at college football. I don't love that strategy from him if he has dreams of playing in the NFL. But hey, that seems like what he really wants to do. And even independent of that, Nussmeyer had the best senior bowl, I would say, of any of the quarterbacks that were there, especially the week went on. I feel like he got better.
Starting point is 00:06:01 Anytime that's the case, I mean, he's got the coach's kid background to him. He was already a highly touted type of a quarterback going into the season. I think the NFL is just trying to find a reason to believe in him in this class. So I absolutely think middle of the second round, potentially, for Nussmire, honestly, guys, maybe even higher. I think we're going to start to see, you know, Ian Rappaport and Adam Schaefter, especially once we get towards the combine, be like, hey, you know, Nussmeier, teams like him as a first round pick. I don't think that that's out of the realm of possibility. I think that we probably get there, given how desperate some of these teams are for a quarterback.
Starting point is 00:06:37 Max Yonichur, the offense tackle from Arizona State, had a really good week at the Senior Bowl as well. His day two and his day three were really, really impressive. I think there's a chance that he sneaks into the back end of the first round as well. So you say top of the second hype, I absolutely think that that's the case. And I think that he could get into the back end of the first round too. Charlie, $20 super chat. Appreciate you, Charlie. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:06:57 Do we think that we're going to see a lot of the high floor players rise up to the end of the first round or early second round just due to the lack of blue chip and high ceiling prospects. Wouldn't shock me if someone like Dunker ends up in the first. Shout out Peter. Always shout out Peter. I don't know what Peter was getting into when this group with them when this super chat came in. But you know, always shout out Peter.
Starting point is 00:07:21 Sponsored the show. We can't go on without Peter, of course. Peter Football Focus. I think that there's a chance that that could be the case. Charlie, I obviously it's one of two paths, right? I mean, either the NFL says, hey, we're not going to take a chance on these guys that have high, super high variance, high ceiling, but really low floor. Let's just go get the good football players that we think are going to be solid guys that we know are going to work out one way or the other in the league. Or you're going to have these teams that feel like they've got to shoot for the moon and they want to try to own this draft class.
Starting point is 00:07:47 I feel as though the answer is, or at least the higher chance is towards kind of what you're talking about there, where I feel like the league is going to gravitate a little bit more towards let's, take the guys that we feel really good about. But maybe that's not the high floor overall. Maybe it's also scheme fits too. So as we get into these team mock drafts and these team specific big boards, I think that information is going to mean a lot too. Brad, 899 Super Chat. Miles Murphy defensive player of the year. Is this one of the worst hiring cycles for a team with the number one overall pick in recent history? And then Miles Murphy MVP. So we've got a Miles Murphy defensive. player of the year. And then we've got a Miles Murphy MVP. So the beginning of the super chat wasn't
Starting point is 00:08:33 quite enough. And Brad had to make sure that he up he upped it by the time we got to the end of it. Is this one of the worst high-ranked cycles for a team with the number one overall pick in recent history? So the Raiders are obviously sitting here and they still don't have a head coach. I think they're waiting for Kubiak. I really do. I think that they're trying to wait for Kubiak, at least, that's what it seems like from my vantage point. I don't know if he's a finalist or not, but I feel as though it kind of has to be, right? I mean, that's the only thing that makes sense here. Yeah, I mean, they've got to be, they have to be waiting for Clint Kubiak and after the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:09:21 He has to be, because you would want to pair Brandon Mendoza with this caliber of an offense coordinator, somebody who did great work when he was in New World. and fantastic work for Sam Darnold with the Seahawks. So I feel like it has to be that, right? Oh, here's an article. Hold on. Raiders, head coach search comes down to two finalists. All right, who's the two finalists?
Starting point is 00:09:46 All right, is Euro Evo and Clint Kubiak? Yeah, I think they're absolutely just waiting for Clint Kubiak. That's what I think. Worst head coaching cycle for, I don't know, I feel like the head coaching cycle has been all right. Overall, we've had some big names hit the open market. but in terms of the team picking number one overall, I really do think that John Spitex,
Starting point is 00:10:06 the general manager honed in on Kubiak from the very beginning. And that is their guy. Jay, $5 super chat. What are we thinking for the Raiders coaching job? Gotta be Shula, right? Right? So just we went over that, went back to back there with the Raiders questions.
Starting point is 00:10:24 It doesn't seem like Shula is up for that head coaching job. I think he'd be a good candidate. I feel like he's going to be a good head coaching candidate at some point, but I do feel like that they are waiting for Clint Kubiak and after the Super Bowl, which I think you've got to feel good about it. If you're a Raiders fan. Z, $5 Super Chat. Hope everyone is having the mayest of Drake's today.
Starting point is 00:10:45 Go, Pats, keep up the great work, small fries. We appreciate you, Z. Thank you for the Super Chat. Let's see. Chad, $2 Super Chat, Chad the Steelers fan, which I got to meet Chad in person at the Senior Bowl. So shout out Chad. It was great to meet you. Appreciate you being an addict.
Starting point is 00:11:00 was Jonah Coleman at the Senior Bowl? I didn't see. No, he was not at the Senior Bowl. I believe he did accept, but then he dropped out. But he was not at the Senior Bowl. No. Let's see. Who's next?
Starting point is 00:11:17 Naya, $5 super chat. David Bailey or Ruben Bain to D.C., no matter what. Then just Jaden Daniels at the end. I believe that's trying to start the movement of Drake May, just going with Jaden Daniels, but we got a Jaden Daniels at the. there. Yeah, I think the pass rusher is obviously paramount for the Washington commanders to get so much better at than they were the previous season. I like Ruben Bain better as a prospect,
Starting point is 00:11:40 but for Washington, it really just comes down to whoever you think is just going to be the best the best pass rusher in the scheme that you're going to deploy this upcoming season. Like, it's kind of as simple as that. So I think that they would be very happy with either of these guys. Again, I would be choosing Rubin Bain just because I have him a little bit higher as a prospect. Patrick, $5 super chat. I'm interested to see how you guys navigate some of these older prospects and non-premium positions in the early rounds. Grayson, Grayson Halton. Grayson Halton actually had a really good week down in Mobile at the Senior Bowl.
Starting point is 00:12:11 I remember watching his tape from Oklahoma. And certainly the flashes of him as a speed rusher and a finesse player, a little bit lighter of weight for an interior defensive tackle. You like those moments, but was he getting washed out a little bit too much in the run game? I kind of felt like that was the case. But, man, he was so disruptive in Mobile that I do think his stock is certainly much higher. after this week. So shout out to him. And then obviously we had the mock draft play out the way that it did. We had guys like Sonny style stay in the top 10. We had Caleb Down stay in the top 10. I drafted a key messador pretty high just because I'm a big fan of him.
Starting point is 00:12:42 And I think we just got to let the good football players play at this point. Wiscoe, five dollar super chat. Love you guys in the pod. Highlight of my work day. We appreciate you, Wiscoe. Thank you for hanging out with us every single time that we go live. We know that you do. Ian, $10 super chat. What do you guys thoughts on how NIL has raised the floor of college programs in terms of overall talent? I watched my U of I have maybe one draftable guy a year, enter NIL, suddenly, now there is multiple. Yeah, and I think that, you know, the NIL conversation is a deep one that I don't want to get into totally, mainly because I don't want to just get into it with myself as well. I'd love to have it back and forth with Connor about it, so maybe we can get into that a little bit later. But I do think that a lot of people look at the NIL situation and this year, I think, is a little bit different. And this year's going to be a little bit more of an anomaly where the class is not good.
Starting point is 00:13:32 And I think people sometimes look at the overall draft class that 2026 is and the talent level being lower and thinking, man, the NFL must hate this NIL era. I don't think that's the case. I think that it's it's a one-off really unfortunate year where a lot of the NICL stuff is really starting to kick in. Plus, you still have some of the leftover COVID eligibility years. You've got the NCAA granting a lot of these guys extra eligibility. as well for sometimes illogical reasons. I'll just be honest. But I don't think that it's going to create a trend where normally draft classes are like
Starting point is 00:14:08 the one that we're talking about in 2026. And in fact, I think that it could be setting up a system where guys are staying in college a little bit longer and they're able to develop a little bit more. And college becomes a little bit more of that developmental league that the NFL would like because, I mean, we've been talking about wanting a developmental league for the NFL for, we've been talking about on social media for the better part of 10 to 15 years,
Starting point is 00:14:32 but the NFL's probably been talking about it for much, much, much longer. So college with the NIL might actually be becoming that. So that's something that I think that they actually might like. Chat again, $5 super chat. Ty Montgomery, Ted Hurst, Malachi Fields, top 10 wide receivers in the draft. I wouldn't say top 10 for Tyron Montgomery. I wouldn't say that for Ted Hurst either. Although I do like those guys.
Starting point is 00:14:54 Ted Hurst is a contest to catch guy. And Tyron Montgomery is a very intrigued. intriguing athlete coming from John Carroll and D3. Malachi Fields, I don't know. I don't think he's going to make it into my top 10 wide receivers when it's all said and done. Maybe you will.
Starting point is 00:15:09 But I do think the NFL is going to like him a lot after what he did in Mobile. He had a really good week. DJ, $10 super chap. Can I play with Avion Terell maybe falling into the second round? Because I think he will. So we didn't have him falling into the second round. Where did we have him going? I can't remember where we had him going.
Starting point is 00:15:29 the draft. Anyways, I think that there is certainly a chance that he falls to the second round, given his size. He's much smaller as a cornerback. He's around 180, 185 pounds at that. And just any time that you are a size deficient quarterback, it's easier to kind of push you down the list or deprioritize you. But he is really smart. He's a good run defender despite his size. He's competitive at the catch point when the ball is in the air. So you have all those things. Plus, you have that good quickness. You have that good anticipation. I do like Avion Torrell, but I think that the point stands, the Super Chat stands that he to me is more of that late first, early second round pick type of a player.
Starting point is 00:16:11 So yes, I think there's a reality where he goes in the second round. But to me, he's so smart and he plays the game at such a high IQ level that it's hard for in this draft class, like we were talking about before with the previous Super Chat, it's hard to look at that and be like, yeah, I'm going to pass on that for somebody who's less proven. I just feel as though that first back at end of the first round, still in play mahal five dollar super chat love me some dank uncrustables absolutely everybody does appreciate you maha'am uh jacob jacob fifty dollar super chat different currency don't know what it is
Starting point is 00:16:43 but i'm a shout out as a fifty dollar super chat based on the shrine and senior bowl performances start start bench cut kala banks lee hunter darrell jackson junior i'm still going kailab banks perhaps that's the gator in me a little bias i'm still starting kailab banks because the flashes that we saw as the Senior Bowl went on. Really love that. Lee Hunter, very close, though. It's a very close debate, especially with how he was able to play this past week.
Starting point is 00:17:11 I would say consistently, and who made more plays, I would say Lee Hunter made more plays this past week at the Senior Bowl. He had a better Senior Bowl week, but I just feel as though the explosiveness, the length, the size that Caleb Banks has, I'd take a chance on that, especially if he guaranteed me that that foot's good to go
Starting point is 00:17:27 and he's fully healthy. So I'd be starting Caleb Banks. I'd be benching Lee Hunter. and then Dorel Jackson Jr. I mean, he is built. Dude, he's built like an Autobot. Like, he's built like a transformer. The build is insane, and some of the best plays from him are so imposing.
Starting point is 00:17:44 But it's not always consistent. So I think that that's an easy bench for me because I think that he is. Definitely third on the list of those three good guys. Let's see. Cam, $2 super chap. Who wins this year's Royal Rumble? Cody Rhodes. Cody Rhodes makes history.
Starting point is 00:18:05 I think it would be his third. Burl Rumble? Did you see that correctly? Go to Cody Rhodes. Or Ray Mysterio. Why? I don't know. Because I love Ray Mysterio.
Starting point is 00:18:17 Andrew. $2.2 super chat. Kuiper has Dalin Bentley as tight end two. Thoughts. Wow. Very high for me. Now, I will say, I did not love
Starting point is 00:18:30 Dailen Bentley's tape. I felt as though he was smooth. He was, I think that he separated with more of like IQ and finding soft spots in the zones. There were times when I watched him though where I was like, man, I just don't, I don't really think you're explosive. I don't really think you're that NFL caliber athlete. But then I saw him at the Shrine Bowl and it was different. I felt like he was a little bit more explosive. We saw some more juice. We saw a better athlete. So that's one that I don't think he's going to be tied into for me. I don't think that he's going to be.
Starting point is 00:19:03 be close but it is a player who after the shrine bowl you know you put a star next to his name it's like okay let's go back and watch some more games now that we've seen him be a little bit better of an athlete in person maybe you see him from a different lens when you go back and you watch the tape so I didn't love his tape but he did have a good shrine bowl so I think that that is worth noting chad ten dollars super chat start bench cut uh Connor eating and uncrustable Trevor washing his hands and alfred Collins being still on the board so these are this is a start bench cut for NFLSE inside jokes. I am going to start Alfred Collins still being on the board,
Starting point is 00:19:43 simply because that was one of those, Connor and I, and now with Tyler as well, the chef, we talk about this all the time how it is the most random off-the-cuff comments that end up being hilarious and inside jokes and bits that go on forever and forever. The Alfred Collins being still on the board, it felt like it was just kind of like a throw. row away thing that happened. And you guys brought that to life and we still talk about it today, mainly because he is still on the board, which is unbelievable that he's able to play for the
Starting point is 00:20:12 San Francisco 49ers and he's still on the board. It's a little bit like the NBA. You know how the guys have gone pro and now they can play college. I think Alfred Collins is a little bit of a situation like that. So I'm starting that one. I'm benching Connor eating and uncrustable because it's just hilarious. And the slander and lies of me never washing my hands, I'm going to cut that one. because of course I am. But I obviously laugh with you guys. Ricky, $5 super chat. Connor, well, here we go.
Starting point is 00:20:43 Now do you follow the verse, Fisk blueprint of keeping the teammates together and grab Lee Hunter in the second to go with David Bailey with the Jets? We picked Caden McDonald, I think, instead of, was Lee Hunter on the board? At that point? I can't remember if he was on the board at that point.
Starting point is 00:21:05 We were doing the mock draft. Maybe he was because we were getting to this point of the mock, or maybe this was just right after the David Bailey pick. But I do see what you're saying, Ricky. I could co-sign that strategy. Obviously, it's worked for the Rams. Harry, $5 super chat. Hey, little pavia's.
Starting point is 00:21:22 There it is. Start Bench cut. Man, we're getting a lot of start Ben Cut here. Bengal, Brett and E.J. Ben Solac. I'm starting Ben Solac. I'm starting Brett and E.J. And I am starting Bengal.
Starting point is 00:21:33 All three of them are starting. I'm not cutting any of my friends here. We're not doing that. We're not, you can't, even though you gave us the $5 super chat, Harry, which we very much appreciate and we love you for. I'm not taking out any of my friends. I'm not doing it. Shout out to all of those guys.
Starting point is 00:21:49 Hope that we have the chance to get all of them back on in a couple of months for the Colab mock draft series because we love getting to hang out with those guys here on the channel. Chad, $10 super chat. Procon for Ted Hurst is Tyler the chef cook, height, weight, speed, and cooking defenders. I think that's a good one. And so I actually met Tyler, our producer, for the first time when he came down for the senior bowl.
Starting point is 00:22:13 Like it's just he doesn't live in Charlotte or Cincinnati. And so we just see him remotely. And it's hilarious. You know, I opened the door at the Airbnb and I say hello to him. He is huge. Like he's, Tyler, what do you like? 6.3, 6.4? I mean, he's a big dude.
Starting point is 00:22:29 Anybody who saw him on the sideline, you see that as well. So I could see that, actually. I could see that being the pro comp. because Ted Hertz, big dude, contest the catch guy. And he's cooking defenders. Just like the chef's cooking up incredible shows for you guys. Samuel, $10 super chap. How's going, Chumps?
Starting point is 00:22:44 Love the show, as always. Any thoughts on Eagles offensive coordinator, Sean Mannion? Big fan of the team, but I have no idea what to think about him. Yeah, it's a complete unknown, right? I mean, like, that's just, that's the way that it is with him getting hired as the offense coordinator. He's never called plays before. Now, he called plays at the Shrine Bowl, and I see some people absolutely grinding that
Starting point is 00:23:04 Shrine Bowl tape to try to find some tendencies for Sean Manian. But I think, you know, how he calls things at the Shrine Bowl is even going to be much different than what he calls for the Philadelphia Eagles. But it was it was kind of interesting that nobody really wanted that job. It's a team that's one year removed from a Super Bowl. And you got a good offensive line, although it does need a little bit of work when it comes to a long-term projection. You got studs at wide receiver.
Starting point is 00:23:28 You have Sequel and Barkley. I wonder if it's a Jalen Hertz thing. I'm not sure. But there's no reason to be. extremely negative about it until he gives you a reason to be extremely negative about it is probably what I would say there. When a guy is a complete unknown, all right, so he's a complete unknown. Let's see what he's got.
Starting point is 00:23:44 And I think that that's just the situation there. Jazz, $5 super chat. Bengals and Buckeyes fan and Buckeyes fan here. What are the chances Tobin takes downs if he's there at 10? He's not their type, but he would be amazing. P.S. Learn. I think that that's solid advice for everybody there at the end. Obviously, we took Downs at number 10 in the mock draft that we just did.
Starting point is 00:24:16 So I think that that's possible. Connor had that pick at number 10. You know, when I do look at the Bengals, I wonder how interested they'd be in Downs. And I'm not saying that from a Caleb Downs perspective, more of just because I felt as though the strength of their team was their secondary towards the end. Now does Caleb Downs still be, is he still their best safety if he's drafted by Cincinnati? Yes, I do think that.
Starting point is 00:24:37 And I think that that could always put him on the table as an option there for them at number 10. But I just wonder if they feel as though, you know, is that interior defensive line, you know, so desperate where we've got to, you know, we've got to make a difference there. Maybe interior offensive line. I feel as though those are the bigger needs. But yeah, I could see them obviously being interested in a player who's his talented as Caleb down. So I think he's going to be a consensus top 10, top five player in the class, especially if it makes to number 10.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Andrew $10, $10, Super Chat. sub-kidows. You guys always talk wide receiver for the Eagles, but Eagles fans think that it would be insane to trade A.J. Brown. Does hiring Sean Mannion and Josh Grisard in your mind help the relationship J.01 Hertz? You could. Right? I mean, clearly the relationship kind of sucked last year with all the drama that I felt like was coming out of Philadelphia with A.J. Brown. I don't think they trade A.J. Brown. I mean, I think it's on the table. We're going to talk about it for the next couple of months, but the contract doesn't make it super easy. It's much easier to do it now than it was in the middle of the year during the trade deadline. That was never going to happen for them, but
Starting point is 00:25:40 it gets a little bit easier this off season. They certainly, very, very clearly, would like to just work it out with AJ Brown. They don't want to trade him. I don't think that that's something that they want to do. And I think that getting new voices and new offensive coordinators in there, certainly it's a way to start fresh. So I don't think that it could hurt. No. So yeah, I mean, I think that wide receiver is a floating knee. for the Eagles, but we've got to wait a couple of weeks till we get past free agency and the new league year opens up before we're seriously talking about them drafting a wide receiver
Starting point is 00:26:12 with any sort of priority type of pick. Chad, $10 Super Chat. Shout out to Thaddeus Dixon sat next to his parents at the Senior Bowl and he played outstanding. He was great in the, what was it, day three of practice as well. I felt like that day three of practice where he got that interception. He was great. He was one of my favorite corners coming into the season. I felt like he had that athletic ability to really be able to
Starting point is 00:26:32 play pressman coverage and line up against the other team's best wide receiver. And he wasn't as good as I thought he was going to be this season. But I do think he's an NFL corner and somebody who could at this point probably be drafted somewhere in the mid-round's, third round, fourth round and get a chance to start in the NFL at some point. Tony Lee, five dollars super chap. If Downs is there as 16, I'd run the card. And in this class, Caleb Downs should not make it to 16.
Starting point is 00:26:58 And I think that we're going to start to hear people talk about him as like a first round pick because I don't, it sounds like he's not going to test super well in Indianapolis if he ends up doing the 40-yard dash and the jumps and the agility drills and all of that. Maybe he won't. Maybe he's not testing as well as people want him to as a top 10 overall pick. And maybe he just goes like, yeah, yeah, not feeling good. I'm going to do it at pro day. I think that that's a, I think that's certainly a possibility as well, especially when
Starting point is 00:27:28 the tape over the last three years has shown you that he's a top 10 overall player, why let some athletic numbers kind of ruin that and give people reason not to draft you. So, yeah, I mean, if he's there at 16, I think that would be an incredible pick for the Jets. There's no doubt. DJ, $10 super chap. Would you consider Sony Stiles here to the Giants as well? Assuming that this is talking about that pick number five with the Giants, I would not. I know that they like have somewhat of a linebacker.
Starting point is 00:28:03 need and Sony Styles is a really good one. But I don't love that one for them because I would much rather go offense. Like I would much rather pick one of those receivers or even if you've got an offensive line need that you feel like you really got to fill going with the offensive line choice as well. So I wouldn't be picking Sonny Stiles at number five for them. Obviously, I'm good with him.
Starting point is 00:28:29 Sort of going a little bit after that. We talked about him for Washington. We've talked about him for a couple of other. teams in that area. But five to me, I would pass on if I'm the Giants. I would go a different direction there, even though I do like Sunny Stiles a lot. Daniel, $5 Super Chap. Where do you guys think where do you guys think Caucasian collision unit, the CCU will get drafted? That's Dylan Thineman. It's got to be, right? Can Dylan Thineman go first round and will Bryce Betcher go day two? So I guess the CCU is both of those guys.
Starting point is 00:29:06 Yes, I do think that Dylan Theanman could go in the first round, the back end of the first round. I think he's absolutely possible for him. Bryce Betcher going day two. I'd be much more comfortable saying like a mid-round, so like a late, third, early day three type of a pick. But he was setting the tone and he was really standing out of the Senior Bowl. So we're actually doing linebackers very soon,
Starting point is 00:29:28 the linebacker episode here on the show, and I'll get to really do a full deep dive into his tape and I'll have a better answer for you. Then. Bryce, $5 super chat. here before these nerds rig it so love goes to the chiefs and styles goes to the bucks well bryce we didn't rig it we might have rigged it for the jats but we didn't rig it for what you are mentioning there we didn't rig it for the chats i'm just kidding guys i'm just kidding jake five
Starting point is 00:29:52 two dollar super chap kana rogers and travers take him up for life i'm glad i didn't skip that one we appreciate you jake thank you so much for uh for watching the show erb five dollar super chat Sadiq to the Chargers. Do it, cowards. Sneak to the Chargers. What do you have that down on him as a receiver? You're going to put 100 pounds on him and play him at guard? It's actually not a bad strategy.
Starting point is 00:30:17 So crazy enough, it could work. Dust Wolf, $5 Super Chat. Can't stay for the full live stream. Got to go to work, but wanted to make sure I showed my support to some of the favorite half points and this community. We appreciate you, Dusk Wolf. We really do. Appreciate everybody who watches and listen to the show, Super Chats, or not.
Starting point is 00:30:34 Jim, $5, Super Chat. Hey, Trevor, how's it going? how's it going to feel watching Mike Evans in a bills uniform next year? You're doing a Madden stream? You're doing a fantasy draft in Madden? You're controlling the bills. You're forcing the trade. Because that's the only way that happens, buddy.
Starting point is 00:30:52 Mike Evans is a buck for life. Don't you do that to me, Jim. Don't take my happiness away like that. We already got to deal with this coaching staff. Dylan, $2 super chat. Got to meet Dylan in person. Shout out Dylan. It's great to meet you at the senior bowl.
Starting point is 00:31:06 Trevor. Trevor Birdwatcher Sykima, great to see you, bud. It's because I had the bucket hat on. I had the training camp bucket hat on for day three of the Senior Bowl. And yeah, he was saying hello to me from the stands. And I was telling him, I was out here birdwatching these prospects with the hat. Let's see. Jay Burgh is the next one, $5 super chat.
Starting point is 00:31:28 Gabe Accus to the Patriots, or I'm helping Big Tucks buy this show. Truly worst case scenario there at the end of the second half of that super chat. I think Gabe Accus is a perfect fit. for the New England Patriots. I know I took Caldric Falk for them at the back end of the first round because Caldric Falk made it there. But man, if a lot of the edge rushers go, like the Super Chat that we were saying,
Starting point is 00:31:48 if a lot of defensive linemen are already off the board, I could see Gabe Akis sneaking into that back end of the first round. I think he's a top 50 type of a player with all the versatility that he has, and I think the New England Patriots would love him. Aiden, $50, $50,000, thank you so much. Are you not scared taking potentially injury prone Tyson for the G-Men
Starting point is 00:32:10 if you're already dealing with neighbors coming back from the ACL and recovery has supposedly been rocky for him. It feels like the more reliable tape makes more spent sense specifically for them. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:32:22 First of all, Aiden, $50 Super Chat, we appreciate it. Thank you so much for that. It's a generous gift. It really is. And you are absolutely right. I think Tyson's the most talented wide receiver in the class.
Starting point is 00:32:34 As of right now, he is not hurt. He is fully healthy. He's dealt with injuries before in his career. He had the major knee injury his freshman year when he was at Colorado. He was recovering from that the year after. He had a hamstring injury in, well, was it? No, I think it was the collarbone injury in 2024. And then he had a hamstring injury that he dealt with in 2025.
Starting point is 00:32:56 So he has been beat up. But it's not like he's coming off of a major injury right now. It's sort of just an in theory durability conversation that you have to have with him. I think he's awesome. I love Jordan Tyson. He's my wide receiver one in this class. But if, you know, he goes through the medicals of the combine and you go, this guy's kind of damaged goods, then yes, you are totally right.
Starting point is 00:33:17 I think you would lean more towards a Carnell Tate or Mike Lemon. A guy Lemon doesn't get talked enough about. He is right there in that group with those two guys. I really do believe that. So you could pivot to one of those guys and I think the Giants would be happy no matter what. Jar it. $20 super chat. I'm playing Madden.
Starting point is 00:33:36 while watching this and just had Walter Nolan scoop and score to celebrate. This absolute unit of an athlete did a backflip on a celebration. That's why it was top 10 on the PFF big board last year. Can't teach that kind of athleticism. Sap, $5 super chat. What's up, chums? What do you guys think of Downs of Cleveland? I know it's not a need, but depending on how the board falls,
Starting point is 00:33:59 it might be best player available. I think Down's in the conversation any time that we're talking about him getting anywhere past number five, to be honest. So number four, five, or beyond, to be honest with you. So I think that that's something that you would consider. Do I think that the Browns would do that because their defense is so good? No. But I think Caleb Downs is at least within the conversation for any team outside of the top five.
Starting point is 00:34:25 Let's see. What have we got here? NJ, $69.69 and 77 cents for the super chat here. We appreciate you. Thank you so much. this is to commemorate Trevor becoming my wife's favorite among all of the football men shows that I watch hoping the bootleg boys for calling oh this is I became I became her favorite analyst for calling out Zoids and Tunei like three weeks ago sounds like your wife knows ball sounds like your wife's a real
Starting point is 00:35:00 ball knower with the Zoids and the Tsunami recognition so thank you we appreciate You appreciate you. Oh man, shout it to truly a goat era of anime shows when we were growing up. Zoids, so underrated. Gundam Wing as well,
Starting point is 00:35:16 Dragon Ball Z. It was the golden era, folks. We appreciate you. Thank you for the super chat. Tony Lee, $100 super chat. Lemon to the Jets, please. Wilson can't be the only wide receiver that can get open on this team.
Starting point is 00:35:30 $100 well worth it. Not only that, but the second round, I think, again, like you said, Connor said, people said we rigged it. Whatever. We made the Jets a lot better. So not only was the $100 good for the McIall Lemon selection as well, but I think the selection is after that.
Starting point is 00:35:44 Tony, we appreciate you so much. Thank you for your support. Nick, $10 super chat. Connor, will you be in San Francisco? Will we get the Super Bowl? My Jets fan live in San Francisco. Would love to buy you a beer. Us West Coast Jet fans are rare, much love, boys.
Starting point is 00:35:56 Nick, he is going to be in San Francisco for the Super Bowl. But just from experience to let you know, Super Bowl Media Week is a It's a wild ride. And so I don't know how much free time that he is going to have, but I will relay this to him if he does. Maybe you guys would be able to connect. But man, Super Bowl media week is a crazy week.
Starting point is 00:36:17 Obama been pooling, $10 to $5 super chat. What do you guys think about the Vikings firing Questi, how it will affect the draft and free agency. Trev, go wash your hands. Squeaky clean first and foremost. Yeah, it's interesting, right? I think that when we went through the fixture franchise
Starting point is 00:36:34 with the Minnesota Vikings, Quessi's drafts have basically been as bad as any general manager in the NFL over the last three or four years. There's no other way to say it. And I have no problem with them getting to the conclusion to move on from Quessie. What is strange is that we are at the end of January when this happened, the very end of January, you've been eliminated from playoff contention for a month and a half now. You got eliminated from playoff contention in the middle of December. What are we waiting for? Like, you know, it could be a situation where it's like Kevin O'Connell's obviously got personnel control.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Is that something that Brian Flores maybe got as well in his negotiations? So now it's all of a sudden like, okay, well, those guys have a lot of personnel control on both sides of the ball. Now we're just looking at Quezzi as a team builder and we don't really like what we saw. But I just think that it's strange that you came to this conclusion at the end of January. So I don't, the result, I understand the result, but the timing of it, this league is so certain. range when it comes to timing. But I don't know how else you get to that point of him getting fired at the back end of January.
Starting point is 00:37:42 I'm not sure. But I do think that he was one of the worst general managers over the last three or four years. So I can understand given the success rate that he had of the players that he brought in, how you get to that point. Let's see. Trey, $10 Super Chap. Trev.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Caleb Banks to the Chiefs. Did you see our running back room last year with a quarterback coming back from an ACL-L-CL injury? running game would be nice. And yes, I am a Chiefs fan from KC. We have done the Jeremiah Love pick to the Chiefs many, many times. But even though Jeremiah Smith is awesome, running back is one of those positions where you can get really good players much later in the draft. You can't really get a lot of guys who are built like Caleb Banks and have the flashes of Caleb Banks. And for as much as, yes, they need a run game, I feel like they've got to be a lot better up front as well. So just
Starting point is 00:38:30 because they took Caleb Banks at 9 where they did, does not deter them from 10. taking a good running back or signing a good running back throughout other points of this draft or the off season. So that's the reason. Mock drafts are all about kind of exploring different possibilities there for the chief. So just because they don't get love, and I think that love would be a great pick for them. But just because they don't get them at number nine here
Starting point is 00:38:50 doesn't mean that they can't make running back conditions. So that's what I would say to that. Let's see. Cartracer 56, $20 super chat. We appreciate you. As we get to the latter half of the first round and towards the second round, who do you think is this year's Bull Rush McIntyre prospect
Starting point is 00:39:06 that's flying under the radar, but we'd get more hype if he had a cooler name. That's actually a great question. Who would be getting more hype if he had a cooler name? Let's see. Who's getting more hype if he had a cooler name? Who's not getting enough hype right now? I don't know who would be, I don't, this is a great, I might have to stew on this question.
Starting point is 00:39:47 Because there's a lot of cool names in this draft. Is it Jeremy Bernard? Maybe. Is it Kristen Miller? Maybe it's Kristen Miller. I got to think about this one. This is a fantastic question. I got to get Connor in for this one.
Starting point is 00:40:13 And we'll be sure to answer this one. But it's a very good question. Delaney and Parker is a dream for Dallas. absolutely love it from Jeff. Five dollar super chat. Well, there you go, Jeff. Glad to make you happy. I think that that is also a great pairing for Dallas. Eight and ten dollars super chat. When Pavia inevitably goes in the first, all right? What kind of hugging technique do you think Goodell goes for? Might have to pick him up, but I'd lean reaching down and throwing Pavia's arm over his shoulders. Yeah, it's a good question. I haven't thought about this one before.
Starting point is 00:40:48 Maybe you just do the, maybe you just do the shoulder bump, you know? Maybe you just, you know, you make sure that you plan it before. hand so you don't have to do the, so you don't have to do the hug. Maybe you're just, you know, you do the point to the sky, you do the Donovan McNabb, the Todd Pinkston, you know, you just, you do the shoulder bump in the air. I think that that might, that might alleviate the worry there, Aiden. Joe, uh, $10 super chat. First off, Connor, here we go, a snowblower. I'm going to mail you.
Starting point is 00:41:12 I'm going to mail you a binky, you big baby. Keep in a PG. Um, that's my real question. Is Reese good enough at just linebacker and run defense and coverage? you'd be worth a top five overall pick. Coverage? No, it's not quite there yet. Run defense and everything that he could do is a run and chase type of a player, read and react, being able to take on offensive linemen, yes, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:41:34 If you're in a defense where you're playing just two linebackers, you're asking them to both be spot-drop coverage players for you on a consistent basis, he's probably not going to be for you. But if you are a defense, it's a little bit more multiple, a little bit more attacking, likes to blitz a little bit more, and one of those linebackers that you have on the field can really be a and just like heat seeking at all times. Think of like how Green Bay deploys Edron Cooper.
Starting point is 00:42:00 Yes, I think that he is worth a top five conversation, top 10 overall pick. It kind of just depends on what you're really looking for for a linebacker. But yes, I think that for as good of an athlete as he is and how special he could be as a run chase type of a player, I think he's worthy of that top 10 overall conversation. Top five, it kind of depends on the team. So the teams that we would have in the top five are the Raiders. weren't going to take him. The Jets at number two, which is sort of maybe I think the conversation here.
Starting point is 00:42:28 Arizona at three, Tennessee at four, the Giants at five. I would like him a lot for the Arizona Cardinals number three. I think he does make a ton of sense there. And the Jets maybe just from an overall talent perspective, sure. But yeah, ultimately, like I am putting him in that conversation to think about it. Mr. Tom Foolery with the $10 Super Chat. Where do you guys rank Fernando Mendoza as a prospect compared to your previous top five quarterbacks?
Starting point is 00:42:51 Ooh, Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, Caleb Williams, Drake, May, Jaden, Daniels, and Cam Ward, love from the pounders. So I'm trying not to be to hindsight here because I loved Bryce, and obviously Bryce has struggled in the NFL. But like pre-draft grades, I would have Bryce, C.J. Stroud, Caleb Williams, and Drake May all above Fernanda Medoza. But I would take Fernando Medoza over the grade that I gave Cam Ward last. year. So, Mr. Coleslaw, $2 super chat. Messador rushed against Ryan Poles in college. Yeah, and he probably whooped his ass, only because he whipped everybody's ass, all due respect to Ryan Poles. Mr. Coleslaw can't $2 Super Chat, Messador dated the late great Virginia McCasky in high school. And you know what? He probably showed up with flowers in his hand, walked up to the door,
Starting point is 00:43:43 made sure he knocked on the door, said hello to his father, said hello to her father, shook his hand and opened the door for as he was taking around to a date. Mitchell, $5 super chat. I heard Messendor turned down the Senior Bowl because he got an invite to the Senior Citizens Bowl instead. Well, he would have dominated both levels of competition. So whichever one helps make sure the NFL knows that he's an absolute stud that he's all good for.
Starting point is 00:44:06 Big money, $5 super chat. If Arizona ends up with Vance Joseph as their head coach, do you think bringing in an innovative offensive mind like Cliff Kingsbury as OC? I very much doubt that Cliff Kingsbury would ever go back to Arizona. I very much doubt that that would ever happen. But obviously, if Anson Joseph is the head coach, you do have to kind of take a chance on an innovative mind at offensive coordinator. Mr. Colesolm, once again, $2.00 Super Chat. Messador went to the Decatur Staley's opening game. And it was a great game that he saw. You know, I'm very happy for him
Starting point is 00:44:42 to get that experience. Jack, $2 Super Chat, put Dunker on the same line as Gray's able go Hawks. That's the dream. That is absolutely the dream. Taf, $10 super chap. Question for Connor for my mom. Cass, sorry, Connor. I'm answering all these for you. What do you guys think of the Jets
Starting point is 00:45:01 overpaying Ganyu Jones? A massive one to two year contract and free agency to be a bridge but really destroy the Colts so that their 2027 first rounder is higher. God, that's big burden. Man, that's taking salary dump for a draft pick to a whole other level. diabolical?
Starting point is 00:45:22 And I actually really like that. Special. $5 Super Chat. Can't wait for the Raiders to draft Lou and move to guard. Yeah, hopefully they won't be doing that. PD, $10 Super Chat. Do you think that Zion Young could be elevated to a first rounder after what you saw this week?
Starting point is 00:45:38 Yes, I do think that. I think that he is going to get that back into the first round conversation. Hammered $20 Super Chat, start bench cut, past Jets quarterbacks. Keyword, past Jets starting quarterbacks. Zach Wilson, Tim Boyle, Joe Flacco. Well, just off of, you know, my Jets knowledge, starting Joe Flacco, a benched Tim Boyle, and I'm cutting Zach Wilson.
Starting point is 00:46:03 That would be my answer to that. But again, more of a counter-question, probably. Sorry, he's not here. Gabriel, $5 super chat. Singleton officially has a broken foot. How much do we think this drops the stock? I think that Singleton was a day three player anyways. I think he's still a day three player now.
Starting point is 00:46:17 I think that he was going to get drafted in the fourth or fifth round. Now, maybe it goes to the sixth. but I kind of think that the range is the same. A broken foot's not the worst thing in the world as long as it's not like a Liz Frank foot injury, which I don't think that I saw it was. But you can heal from a broken foot. I think the draft range is kind of still the same. Mr. Colesaw, $20 Super Chat.
Starting point is 00:46:35 Does Messador's leather helmet get grandfathered in? I think that it does, you know. I don't think that he has to wear the full face mask. I think he can play real light with good vision there with that leather helmet. So yeah, I actually think that it does. Patrick, $5 super chat. Lee Hunter to the Bengals. Well, there you go.
Starting point is 00:46:53 We made your dreams come true. Alex, $2 Super Chat. Big Ravens News. Maddibuike tweeted great news with the praying hands emoji. I hope that that means that we're getting Madiouke next year. One, just because of his health overall, but two, because he's a phenomenal player. I want to see him back out there for Baltimore. Let's see.
Starting point is 00:47:10 What is this? This is from Abbott O3, $20 Super Chat. Quarterbacks always rise. Two weeks ago, the buzz with Simpson was at the end of the first. but after Mobile Rams 13 by April could he go top 5 asking for a friend who hasn't made the playoffs in 15 years
Starting point is 00:47:27 and hasn't had a QB since 1969 with a jet emoji I don't know I really don't I can't sit here and just predict that he's going to have this like meteoric rise I still think that Ty Simpson is incomplete right now
Starting point is 00:47:43 as a prospect but the quarterback class is just so thin I think his range is all over the place anywhere from a mid-first round all the way to the middle of the second round. I think that Nussmeyer is going to end up being a late first rounder to an early second rounder. So who knows, but I don't, I can't say, I can't say I've got a crystal ball and say top five. I really can't. I'm not sure that he gets that kind of fight.
Starting point is 00:48:06 QJ, $2 Super Chad, Jacob Rodriguez to my Panthers is a perfect fit. I think that he would be a perfect fit for them. Did we give him to the, did we give them to the Panthers? I know he went Peter Woods. Do we get Jacob Rodriguez in there? Did he go to the panders? If he did great mock drafting, I guess. You tell we do so much content.
Starting point is 00:48:26 I can't remember which mock draft I did two days ago. Rod, $5 super chat. Almost crashed my screen about Hill Jr. Love y'all boys. Oh, love y'all boys'all boy's show, man. Appreciate it. Thank you. I don't know if crashed out on the screen about Hill Jr.
Starting point is 00:48:45 Was a good thing or a bad thing? Because it comes with laughing emojis. But I'm hoping that it was a good thing. Parkour, $5 super chat. Second, because y'all's Ravens pick sent me, and Las Fano kicks inside. Not a chance he is the dude there. Second, Cooper over R. Mason Thomas.
Starting point is 00:49:06 Well, I think Spencer Fano would kick inside the guard. And yeah, I mean, Armason Thomas, I think is absolutely there for them. They definitely need pass rush, but there's a chance that Mike Green could obviously be much better for them in the second year than he was than it was in his first year. If you're getting Mada Buque back, then you feel good about a lot better about the defensive line overall. And they need wide receivers. They absolutely need wide receivers.
Starting point is 00:49:28 They need passing weapons. Norma Cooper Jr. is great. So I don't feel bad about drafting a good football player. Game plan of the week brought to you by Western Southern Finance Group, a game plan for your financial future. My game plan of the week was they're doing the Patriots, leaning into Drake May's legs. All right. Have Drake May had the best postseason? No, he hasn't.
Starting point is 00:49:50 It hasn't been great for the Patriots offense overall. But when they needed him to come up with some big plays, he's got the freedom, he's got the athleticism, picked up a couple of really big plays, the touchdown, the run that sealed it at the end, the game plan to allow Drake May to be able to be a weapon with his legs. I love that, especially in a game where the margin for error was very low given the weather that was down in this direction
Starting point is 00:50:11 that game, especially in the fourth quarter. So shout out to Drake May and the Patriots. Make it to the playoffs there. Starting point is 00:50:56 The evil and evil wheel stands for every villain is lemons. If you know, you know, I don't know. So hopefully I didn't say anything I wasn't supposed to. Stay safe. Snow pounders. It's true. Stay safe to everybody out there. Mediocrity, $20 super chat. Good afternoon, fellas. What senior bowl prospects would be the best fits for the Browns as they look to build around pro bowl quarterback, Shador Sanders. Also, what do you do with Eric Gentry? Very hot body type. Eric Gentry is somebody that we didn't talk about during Shrine Bowl, the Shrine Bowl section, and we probably should have. He is 99th percentile in height, 99th percentile in arm length,
Starting point is 00:51:34 I think like 95th percentile in hand size, and then first percentile in wait for an offball linebacker. He is truly a Madden creative player. There's no other way to say it. He did look way better than I thought he was going to, though, in the linebacker drills, because I've watched his film over the last couple of years because he's also one of the older prospects in the class.
Starting point is 00:51:53 I've watched his film over the last couple of years and I haven't been super impressed. I've thought that, okay, he's too late to be an edge rusher. He's not really instinctual enough and moves well enough to be an off ball linebacker. But I was actually pretty impressed with how well he was able to move and anticipate and make plays on the ball at Shrine Bowl practice. So now it's probably somebody that, yeah, I mean, he's getting drafted.
Starting point is 00:52:11 So I think that he's somewhere around like maybe a mid-late, day three target. Senior Bowl guys, it would be good for the Bears. Let's see Or the Browns, sorry, Cereal acceptance. Let's see. Who would be good? I mean, Casey gets a Cepcion,
Starting point is 00:52:34 but I don't think he's playing. I don't think he's playing anymore. I think he bowed out, sadly. I think offensive line depth is actually probably where I would go here. Like, Austin Barber from Florida, Maxi Anachor from Arizona State, Trayzoon, J.C. Davis. Like a lot of these offensive linemen, Keelan Rutledge,
Starting point is 00:52:58 a lot of these offensive linemen are probably the guys that I would be having my eyes on. Like focus on the one-on-one drills, focus on how these guys are doing in team drills. And we'll give you obviously an update on a lot of these guys that stand out. But to me, Cleveland has to fortify the depth and get a lot younger on that offensive line, whether it's for starters next year or very soon after. I think offensive line is where you're looking here. Lou, $2, Super Chat.
Starting point is 00:53:19 Better OSU nose tackle prospect. Tileak or Caden. I like Caden a lot more. I wasn't the biggest Thai League fan going into last year. I think he's fine, and I think that he came on in the second half of his rookie season, and it was good to see him be able to do that. But I like Caden more than I like Tileak. I think Caden is even better and more consistent in run defense.
Starting point is 00:53:39 And I think his power game as a pass rusher is actually a little bit more effective as well, whereas Tileak did have a little bit better of a first step. When you talk about like one gap penetrating defensive line, is getting into the backfield. I do think Tileak does that a little bit better. But for true nose tackles, I like Caden better. Bryce, five-lower, super chat. Thoughts on my Chargers getting the best offensive coordinator on the market.
Starting point is 00:53:59 Through the door, FYI, the Packer Slice is still too big. Well, we hit the Packers in this one. McDaniel, in combination with Jim Harbaugh, is going to be very interesting. But I like Mike McDaniel. And I'm a Justin Herbert guy. And so I'm excited to see it. I really hope that it yields the best scenario. You know what I think will be really interesting is it's hard for me to know exactly what McDaniel is going to do with the Chargers because I think that he was somewhat limited in what he could do with Tua.
Starting point is 00:54:33 Because Tua was so much a point and shoot pre-snap reed type of a quarterback. And I just don't know how much of the piece of the pie was that was what McDaniel wanted to do or was that more of a, hey, this is Tua's limitations. I don't really know the answer to that. And I think that we'll be able to see it in the first year or so of Mike McDaniel being the offensive coordinator for the Chargers. But I do like it because there's a lot of diverse weapons for Justin Herbert to be able to throw the ball to. And he just has a little more, he has stronger of an arm and is able to work under pressure and outside of the pocket a little bit better. So I am excited to see what those two are able to do together. Jayberg's $10 Super Chat.
Starting point is 00:55:09 Patriots have won three Super Bowls, have won three Super Bowls, lost Tom Brady and started Cam Newton and Mack Jones, fired Belichick, drafted Drake May, went 8 and 26, made it back to the Super Bowl, all since the Jets' last playoff win. Connor's not in the show, but I will make sure to remind him of this exact comment. Lucas, $20 Super Chat. I don't know. What is this? I don't want to say it.
Starting point is 00:55:35 I don't want to say. Is this something that I'm not supposed to be saying? I don't know the word. I don't know the word. I don't know the word. I don't know what it is. I don't know what it is. Chad, help me out.
Starting point is 00:55:49 Is this, it sounds like a Harry Potter reference. All right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good. I can read it. I can read it. Trinidad Chamis, the horn swoggle of Patchamahomes. Kind of. Kind of. Somebody said he's a smaller wrestler.
Starting point is 00:56:09 Yeah, I mean, kind of. That fits. Let's see. What do we got next? K. Josiah, $5 Super Chap. It took less than a week for the Steelers. to unpimp themselves. Steelers fans, if you want to look at what could have been, watch the fiction of the Steelers episode.
Starting point is 00:56:32 Cap and Valhau, $5. Trevor Smallema, I know today isn't the linebacker episode, but what do you think of Dante Hightower as a comp for Arvill Reese? Dante High Tower was a lot bigger, I think. And he just played a different style. Like Dante High Tower was like 265 pounds, and Arvira Leach is like 240. So in terms of like an attacking downhill linebacker, a guy who plays a lot of power, yeah, I can see kind of where you're getting with that. but Dante Hightower had a lot more mass out of me,
Starting point is 00:56:55 had a lot more size. He was much more of that sort of like traditional mid-2000s, three, four, middle linebacker type of player who actually, I mean, he could play outside linebacker in those, in those formations as well. Arvail Rees, I think is just as versatile. I just think they're different body types of players, but stylistically, how they want to beat you with power,
Starting point is 00:57:13 I could see how you got there. I wouldn't say that as a comp, but again, like I could see both of these guys want to play with power. I think Reese is just head and shoulder. It's just a crazier athlete. than Dunt to Hightower was where Hightower obviously had a little bit more strength because he had like 20, 25 more pounds on him. Bryce Tidal, his super chat.
Starting point is 00:57:30 Shame that Connor got lost in the storm. I vote for Peter to replace him. RIP Mr. Rogers. He's not dead. He's trying to make his way. Trying to make his way. He's trying to find his way. Lord of the Ring style.
Starting point is 00:57:39 That's what Connor is doing right now. He's on a journey to Mordor, to Mordill, Alabama. Director's cut. It might be the director's cut. Hopefully it's a director's cut because that would mean that it's got a happy ending that he actually makes a mobile we will see um QJ two dollars Jacob Rodriguez the linebacker from my Carolina Panthers need I like that a lot I like that a lot QJ I think that one makes a ton of sense especially because I think they can get Jacob Rodriguez
Starting point is 00:58:08 probably somewhere in the third round so they could focus some of their higher picks on a little bit of other areas which I like because I don't think there's a premier linebacker outside of sunny style so if they miss out on sunny styles I'd be okay with them getting uh Jacob barriguez I do think that that would definitely fit uh the big chop 10 hour super chat. Trev, I've heard you say all fantasy, everything is one of your favorite podcasts. It's one of mine as well. What would your AFE topic be?
Starting point is 00:58:33 You know, it's very, it's interesting. I love that podcast so much. Those guys are absolutely hilarious. It is my favorite podcast that allows me to sort of like unplug a little bit and just sort of get away from the sports world, even though they have some sports references and things in that show. but it's just a really good way for whether I'm like going for a walk or a run or a workout or something. It's just it's a great way for me to just. I've had some of the hardest laughs over the last couple of years have been listening to that podcast. Shout to those guys that do an incredible job.
Starting point is 00:59:05 Ian, so it's funny because there was a point in time where when I first mentioned that I love that podcast, somebody had reached out to them and said, hey, you should have Trevor on. and Ian actually reached out to me and DMed me and said, hey, hey, Trevor, like, because I followed him on Twitter. Like, I follow all those guys on Twitter. Even David's not on Twitter anymore, but Sean and Ian were. And so Ian and I followed each other. And Sean was the same way.
Starting point is 00:59:36 And Ian DMs me. And he's like, hey, you got nominated to be the next guest. Like, would you want to come on? And I said back to him, I was like, absolutely. I would absolutely love to. And that was right around the time when Ian was like, I'm not doing Twitter anymore. Like, I think he,
Starting point is 00:59:47 I think he's only on blue sky now at this point. So I almost got on the show, but then the timing of it, I just think, was bad. Barbecue plates, maybe, I think. I mean, the three sides minimum, dude. So I think, Peter, Trevor works out, definitely not knit legs.
Starting point is 01:00:07 Come on, Peter, come on, come on. I'm trying to have a good day. I'm trying to have a good day. But, yeah, I, barbecue. sides maybe could work or something sports related i think something sports related would be good but maybe something barbecue related as well with three sides menom but i love that i love that podcast a lot shout it to those guys um there are a lot of fun i think everybody should go listen to him andrew five dollar super chat um talk to me about dylan bentley or suffer i did i did
Starting point is 01:00:36 and i'm suffering because peter made fun of my legs so there you go i got both it wasn't even an or it was an ant um my pet five dollars show landed robinson some love to go Navy, B Army. Landon Robinson actually was flashing a good amount when he was at the Shrine Bowl practice. Now, obviously, he's a much smaller dude. Let's see. What did he officially weigh in at? Where are we here? So he was Landon Robinson. He was just over 5 foot 11, 290 pounds, 31 and 5 eighth inch arms. So he's much smaller for a defensive tackle. But he's got great natural leverage to him. He plays very quick. I remember reading about him and how Navy had a rule in practice called the Landon Robinson rule,
Starting point is 01:01:20 where if he beat the offensive lineman one-on-one so quick just to continue the play, just because if they did that, they wouldn't be able to run enough plays. And so he's a quick interior defensive lineman. I just don't know if he's big enough to be able to play in the NFL. But what he does, he does pretty well. And it's fun to see it when the flashes definitely show up. PK $5 Super Chat. First time making it live.
Starting point is 01:01:42 Oh, yeah, love that. Love the content. Can't wait to get my hands on a hat. when the time comes well. PK, if you are in the Discord, you might get one for free now that we are giving away 10 free hats. So anybody out there who still is not in the Discord,
Starting point is 01:01:56 make sure you get in it. You might get a free hat out of it. Hashtag Canadian addict. Nemo, $50 super chat. Thank you. We appreciate it. It's up, Pip Squeaks. Been going through a rough time. Past couple of months, thank you for giving me something to enjoy
Starting point is 01:02:07 every single week. Hashtag, are your guest to Mae. Nemo, I don't know what you're going through, but I hope it's getting better. I really do. And along the way, I hope that this podcast, can really help you out. Remind you to laugh a little bit and take your mind off of whatever it is before you need to handle things the way that you need to handle it.
Starting point is 01:02:24 So we're glad that you're here. We're glad to be your family. And we hope that things get better for you. Mahal $5 super chat. Go fund me for the Rogers family, RIP Connor. He's not dead, guys. He's not dead. He'll be there on Wednesday.
Starting point is 01:02:35 He'll be, you know what? He'll be in Mobile tonight. I'm manifesting it. I'm manifesting it right here, right now on this episode. I haven't checked my phone, but he might have. Texas within the last hour and told us that he can't come. But I'm not going to look at it.
Starting point is 01:02:48 I'm going to continue to manifest until that moment comes. Scarcity's just what I need for my shoveling halftime break. There we go. Anybody who's out there shoveling snow, I salute you. As somebody who grew up in Florida, I could never. But I salute all you guys out there who have to do it. Chubbubbub, two hour super chat. Ryan Goemeyer for me.
Starting point is 01:03:17 430. What? Oh, 430.40 time. I will keep an eye on them. I'll keep a close eye on because if I have blink, I might miss it for the time like that. H-prossey, $5 super chat.
Starting point is 01:03:31 There's no Zay flowers in this draft. Get out of here. Tyson's Blue Chip. Mackay's on the same level as a. Carnel soft? It was embarrassing against Miami? No. I don't know how you got.
Starting point is 01:03:42 I don't know how you call a guy who blocks the way the Carnell Tate does with the contest to catch numbers that he has as soft. If you don't want to like Carnal Tate, because he doesn't separate super well, maybe he settles for, maybe I shouldn't say that because the separation numbers are good, but sometimes he settles for contested catchers a little bit more. If you want to say that, fine, but soft,
Starting point is 01:04:00 that's not a word that I can, that I can associate with Carnell Tate at all. A. Sprouse is $5.0.0.0. Hertz is trash. One man's trash, though. What's saying? Howard Rosen's treasure. I think that's the end of the saying there. Salvador $5 Super Chat.
Starting point is 01:04:20 Thank you for all the content. Wanted to get into scouting for the first time, but I don't know where to start, what to look for, or even where to find tape, any tips. My tip would be, just start. Listen to podcasts.
Starting point is 01:04:31 Like this one, like so many other great ones that are out there as well. Guys have been doing it for a long time. Dame Bruehler's podcast, Dana Jeremiah's podcast. Like, just take in some football content from a scouting perspective
Starting point is 01:04:43 and learn from all those guys. And to be honest with you, just kind of start. I do a little. a lot of my scouting notes on a Google sheet. And I cannot tell you how much that Google sheet has just evolved and expanded over the last 10 years that I've been doing this at a somewhat serious level. And I look back on some of my Google sheets from, you know, early on in 2017, 2018. And I'm like, there's nothing here. What was I right now? I'm just writing down thoughts.
Starting point is 01:05:08 Vibes based scouting. Now I have so much more information and background and things that matter in it and a weighted film scale and all that stuff. But you just, you learn. it along the way. As for tape, the NFL does, what is it, NFL game pass or whatever? They do that for all 22. We get our all 22 from PFF, so I don't have a way to get you guys or give you guys advice on all 22 there,
Starting point is 01:05:32 but honestly just watch full games. Like broadcast clip, is it the best? No, like broadcast angle, is it the best? No, but can it get it done for you? Yeah, I think you get a good, decent idea of what a player is able to do from the broadcast clip. I mean, that's, before I got to PFF, college all 22 was scarce. I did
Starting point is 01:05:48 a lot of my scouting off of cutups from the broadcast saying, oh, because I didn't have anything else, but I really wanted to do it. And I would tell you that my advice is just start. And you're going to get better the longer that you do it. You really are. Axel $5.com, no start bench cut today. Just want to give you an opportunity to wax poetic about Levanti David and what makes him
Starting point is 01:06:03 great. Wonderful, $5. Well spent. Levante David was drafted to do a terrible situation for a terrible organization in which he did not make the playoffs for, I think the first, what was it, decade, eight, nine years, whatever it was of his NFL career. and yet he was absolutely one of the best. He is so soft-spoken.
Starting point is 01:06:20 He plays for a franchise that nobody really cared about outside of the James memes memes memes when James was there or until Tom Brady got there. And because of that, he never got the recognition that he deserved. Him, Luke Keakley, Bobby Wagner are the three linebackers that are Hall of Fame linebackers in their era. And Levante David never gets talked about at the same level. His longevity is, his longevity has been unbelievable.
Starting point is 01:06:43 The amount of games started, I think he's got over 200 games started in his entire career. He was starting from the moment that he got drafted by the Buccaneers in his rookie season. He's been a starter in every single game that he has been healthy ever since. The interceptions, the sacks, the tackles, the communication, the impact, how he elevates everybody on the rest of the team, the leader that he has been, the person that he is in the community as well. Levante David represents everything about being a Hall of Famer and somebody that is
Starting point is 01:07:08 worth being recognized and remembered for playing this game the way that you're supposed to at an incredibly high level for a long, long time. So that is why I think that Levanti David is a hall of hammer. And there are a lot of stats that he has that he is better than Levanti than sorry, Luke Keekley and Bobby Wagner. But he never got recognized for it because there were only so many all-pro spots and pro-ball spots for linebacker and he played for a market that it was never really talked about.
Starting point is 01:07:32 One of those underrated players over the last decade of football. Tie $5 super chat. Ooh, that felt good. I just got done with a hike here in Cintzy. And now I get to warm up with NFLSE. Easy S-tier day. Did you mention Jeff Caldwell from UC? Jeff Caldwell measured in big, super athlete.
Starting point is 01:07:50 Dude might run in the four threes, might jump over 40 inches. He's got to shore up the hands. He's just got to get more reps and he's just got to be more natural as a hand catcher. I saw a couple of drops from him early on in the first practice. He's got to shore up the hands because if he, excuse me, if he is able to do that, we are talking about a rare size speed combination type of an athlete. Tristan, 10-0 Super Chap. Hey, just shout out to the 813.
Starting point is 01:08:17 Diehard addict. First live show for me because I'm in tech school for the Air Force. I'm going to the game. Are you all going to be there on Saturday? Definitely be cool to see you guys in action. So I am not staying for the game on Saturday. A lot of us will leave after that practice. But I love that you are going to the game.
Starting point is 01:08:34 That is really cool. I think that one of these years, we are going to do an NFLSC meetup for one of these All-Star Bowls because it's going to be really cool for you guys to not it's not only going to be really cool to meet you guys and do a live podcast and do that during the week,
Starting point is 01:08:53 but also then you can make a big football trip out of it, right? You could stay for the game and it could be a really cool thing. So we're trying to next year. I know we say this all the time, but I want to next year prioritize playing in this because I think it would be really fun.
Starting point is 01:09:09 I think that we got to do it. James, $5 super chap. Cutting Rashon Gary could save them $12 million and they could take Overton with Van Ness opposite Parsons to use the savings to Quay Walker. Interesting. So that's one strategy for the Packers. I don't think they're going to do it, though.
Starting point is 01:09:23 I don't think they're going to cut Gary. I don't think they're going to cut Gary. And I think I like Lee Hunter more than I like Overton. So I kind of like our draft a little bit better. But that is an interesting way that they can navigate things. I know the Packers can get very creative. with how they end up moving guys around the roster. John $5.00 Super Chat.
Starting point is 01:09:42 Pick a spot on defense that isn't tackle, and you're correct to draft for the Cowboys. The offensive line is better overall. I think wide receiver, okay, like some depth, wide receiver, sure, but I don't think you're doing that with 12 or 20. I think that the defense, oh, sorry, it said pick a spot on defense that doesn't tackle. Right, right, right, right, right, right. I agree, I agree.
Starting point is 01:10:01 Reading comprehension, very difficult for me, apparently. Johnny, $5 super chat. Ben, Star, cut. You personally. Oh, okay, here we go. Ripping a drive middle of the fairway, blindside blocking someone into next week or smoking somebody in Dodgeball.
Starting point is 01:10:23 Well, if I blindside block block somebody in the next week, that would basically be the one time I'd ever do that in my life. So, you know, I think, I think ripping a drive down in the middle of the fairways probably one for me because it's probably the most personal and the one that's actually realistic for me. I'm going to go blindside block as the, as the start or sorry as the bench and then i'm going to cut smoke of somebody in dodgeball even though
Starting point is 01:10:47 it's great feeling i lived that life already we've already we've been there we've conquered that so i'm going to cut that one because uh one of them i've never done in my life and then the other one i don't do nearly as much as i wish i did and mainly that is ripping a drive down the middle of the fairway um dark two dollar super chat total thoughts on mccarthy as a steeler's fan uh yeah i mean look i think that the floor is pretty high with mccarthy um And I think that people need to remember this. They didn't fire Tomlin, right? The Steelers didn't fire Tomlin.
Starting point is 01:11:19 Tomlin stepped away. They wanted to run it back. So it makes sense that their mindset was open to and clearly favored Mike McCarthy. Because that's kind of where they were. That's what they wanted to run it back with Mike Tomlin. They wanted to compete. And for as much as Mike McCarthy might have a low ceiling, I think he's got a decently high floor from what we've seen from him with the Packers.
Starting point is 01:11:42 and then with the Dallas Cowboys. I wish they would have finally bit the bullet and gone into a full cultural rebuild of things like they did when they hired Tomlin, but they didn't do that. And I think that that was because they were of the mindset that they were where they were just like, no, like we want to compete. We want a guy who's got head coaching experience.
Starting point is 01:12:00 We want to compete next year because they're looking at the division. They were like, it was wide open this year. The Ravens were making changes. I don't know if they doubt the Bengals with Zach Taylor or what, but that's how I think they got to this point. I think the floor will be decently high with McCarthy. I just wish they would have waited and taken a bigger swing at the fences with Nate Shieldhaus or Chris Shula. So that's my thoughts there.
Starting point is 01:12:24 Jeremy, $2.2.2.2.00 super chat. Any Colorado prospects this year? Also, Retzeloff, not the biggest Jake Ratzloff fan, Colorado prospects. Omarian Miller would have been an elite one, but he's not in the class. And then McCona, DJ McKinney, went back. I don't think, I don't know any caught a lot of ones. At least I haven't scouted any yet this year. Um, Hark, $5 Super Chat.
Starting point is 01:12:49 Trev throwing that Buc's ring into Mount, Mount Boom. In Mord, Beal for the chance to draft Sonny Stiles. I don't know if I'm throwing the Super Bowl ring in there, but, uh, I do want Sony Stiles. Dare $7.00 Super Chat. Sorry, I'm late fellas. Uh, had to call a councilman for work and tell him that he was completely wrong. but I'm here now. Drake, Drake, Drake, May, May. Indeed. It's going to be a Drake, Drake, Drake, Drake, May, Super Bowl.
Starting point is 01:13:24 Jof, I know it's Jeff. I just, I love annoying one of my friends when I call him that when I enunciate all of the letters like that, but Jeff, it's $5 super, Jeff, we appreciate you. Just now tuning in, do you think McCarthy to the Steelers changes the chances of Rogers returning to Pittsburgh? Seriously, hoping no, Drake May. I don't think, I don't know, because towards the end, it felt like Rogers and McCarthy, like, didn't have the best relationship. So I truly have no idea. I don't know. I don't know if that was a major part of the conversation or not either. But I guess we'll see.
Starting point is 01:14:01 I guess we'll see. Well, with Rogers, you know, we'll see in July. I was going to say June, but it's going to be even like that. It's going to be in July. I don't know. Somebody said Rogers might be a Viking. That's what, that's what Connor keeps saying. And that would just complete the, the, the,
Starting point is 01:14:17 Brett Favre arc, just the Brett Farrb career arc. So it means JJ McCarthy will also or no, not J.J. McCarthy. I mean, Jordan Love.
Starting point is 01:14:28 Jordan Love will, I was thinking about the Vikings. Jordan Love is going to go to the Jets. Hey, Connor, he's going to go to the Jets. It'll be a playoff. Shout to everybody. Love you guys.
