Welcome to the opening bell of the NFL Stock Exchange show. I'm Trevor Sycambe. That is Connor Rogers back for a tradition unlike any other. It is past midnight. We are in the wee hours of now Friday morning to recap the first round of the 2026 NFL draft.

The chat is fired up. I see everybody going crazy here. This is one of our favorite shows to do every single year. Connor, how we do it, my man. I'm feeling great, honestly. I'm not even remote. remotely tired. You get the adrenaline rush of the first round. The chat right now is giving us even new life. There are so many people waiting for this show. Trevor, you said it.

This is one of our favorite traditions that we do, getting to recap the first round together after we each do our respective shows that we work on. Tomorrow, reminder to everybody. It won't be like that because we'll be together for every single round for the rest of the NFL draft in studio at Bleacher Report. Yeah. Like, you... You look like a guy that... But also the slick back hair. You look like a guy that gets sent by the guy to, like, you know, collect. Like, you're not messing around. It's a cool guy vibe.

I'm a fan. I'm a really big fan. I'm a big fan. Some people are saying that I'm muted. Am I muted? No, I hear you loud and clear. There's no way. You can hear me.

There's somebody... Okay, you guys are trolling me. You know what? You're on your A game already. The regular is final act. You know, you know what? But if you thought the Riggler was wasn't real before, wait until you hear me talk about Rubin Bain going number 15 to the Tampa Bay bucket.

Oh, man. I was, I was containing myself because I was on a very professional training, a bleach report. I had to make sure, I had to make sure. I had a good reaction, but I had to make sure I had to make sure I had to make sure I wasn't absolutely losing my shit of the fact that my number three overall player Rubin Bain actually got to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and then they drafted him there. We're going to have a lot of fun here on this show. We're going to go through a lot of the first round of Connor. I think a lot of the names in the first round were the names that we

expected. But to the teams, I was I was kind of shocked and perplexed all night at the players that we're going to different spots. First and foremost, I'll congratulate you for absolutely whooping my candy ass when it came to the mock draft competition. I don't know who was like that. Oh, brother, it was like that. This is the worst accuracy mock draft I've ever done in my career. It's fine.

You got Ruben Vane. You still win the night. Yeah, I couldn't care less. I truly couldn't care less, really. But you won the mock draft competition, so I wanted to give you your process. Thanks, pal. I appreciate it. I, um, odd mock draft that I felt as the night went on, like, pretty good about the players

I had in the spots I had, but totally whiffed on the Jets in, well, one of the picks. We did get Omar Cooper. We got Omar Cooper, baby. Yeah, we eventually got Omar Cooper in there. So that was a nice little win. You're right, though. It was a little weird where, especially at the end, I thought, it's like, yeah, these are the names, but I didn't know they'd like that guy, or I didn't know Chris Johnson would go over

Colton Hood. And, you know, our guy McPounder still waiting to hear his name. called, of course, so, which I think you were a little bit on, but I was a little bit surprised about. So yeah, man, it was, I mean, listen, let's be real. I don't even know where to start, but I don't know how we don't start with Ty Simpson, unless we want to go in order. Well, I was going to go in order, but we, we can, we can start with Ty Simpson and then go in order after that, because I think this was insane. This was absolutely the pick that was the craziest on the night. Now, remember, When we were doing mocks like three or four months ago, you remember there was a mock that we did.

There was a mock draft money that we did where I think it was me. I took Ty Simpson to the Rams at 13 specifically. And I said for this very reason, hey, when you get this luxury pick of number 13 overall, which you got from the Falcons, why not use it in a way where you're taking a chance at going to get a quarterback? Now, I said that three, four months ago. Since then, the Seattle Seahawks got worse. the Rams went all in and got a lot better. So instead, I understand the value of like why Lesneed did this.

But did you see the post game or the post draft press conference? I have seen some of the still screenshots. The body language from McVeigh is atrocious. Dude, go watch the video. It's McVeigh says that he will compete for the QB2 spot with Stets and Ben. Which is the ultimate like whoever made this pick, Les Need. is an idiot and I won't fall on the sword for it. He could not have been less excited about Ty Simpson.

And to be honest with you, I don't blame him. Same. I hated this pick. I think this was the lowest grade that I gave any pick. Now, I gave it a C minus because it's like, okay, I guess I get it. But if I'm being more harsh, like, yeah, this is the lowest graded pick that I have here. You're trying to get your quarterback of the future to say yourself, Matthew Stafford, but you are in a Super Bowl window.

What are you doing? We had this conversation with the Carolina Panthers at 19, right? The Philadelphia Eagles with where they were originally picking at 23. Do you look towards the future? Do you pick a guy who might not play this year? Or do you really try to hit the gas pedal? The Rams at 13 should have been hitting the freaking gas pedal. Come on.

Yep. In a perfect world, Tyson. Simpson plays zero snaps for you in a year where you are gunning for a Super Bowl. That's crazy to me. I'm with you all the way. This is a team that in the top 15. Also, there's really two things here. One, you either get a player that helps you now, and we still think this team needs a

pass catcher. Or two, it felt like teams were able to get out of slots at will tonight. Some just chose to stick and pick because a great player fell to them. it felt like so many people knew that the Ravens were taking Yuanes. So if somebody wanted, Rubin Bain is still on the board. I don't know this as fact, and I will ask around a little about this. I'm assuming the Rams could have gotten out of this pick if they wanted to. I'm just not convinced.

This is why I wrote today, and you know, who knows, but I wrote today in the last column I did for NBC about this class, my final rumors, I took the field versus the Jets and Cardinals. I did not think the Jets and Cardinals were taking Ty Simpson in the first 34 picks. But at some point at the draft, you do have to kind of understand how it's going to go.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe the Rams are like he is going to go, and that's that. I don't know, man. I didn't like the process of this. I don't love McVeigh's body language right now. He looks like a guy that literally threw the 90s up on inclined dumbbell

as many times as he could, walk to the presser in the smallest shirt he could find, and sat there, pissed the hell off. Well, hold on. The first part of that's kind of the dream. And that's kind of how we're all trying to show up to the post-draft press conference. It's pain and gain. But it really is pain and gain.

But I saw that Ross Tucker tweeted out that Ty Simpson was doing radio after he got picked. And he said on Series XM, he never met with McVe throughout the whole process. That's for a quarterback pick. That is incredibly bizarre. Once again, like, unless McVeigh is about to retire when Matthew Stafford retires and like, that's it. But even then, man, I just, I don't understand. You're in a, Rubin Baines on the board.

Create waves of pass rushers, man. Go get a wide receiver. Mackay Lemon was still there. Omar Cooper Jr. was still there. Casey Concepcion was still there. Like, all of these players were still there. And you picked a player who, best case scenario, plays zero snaps for you in a Super Bowl year. I want to flash a comment because this crossed my mind after the presser.

I wonder if there's a world now, unless cooler heads prevail or he buys in, like, McVeigh rides this thing out with Stafford and then it's kind of, you know, he can go make as much money as he wants to in media. I don't know. I don't want to get too far ahead of ourselves, but it was a perplexing pick. I think the Rams are a Super Bowl caliber team today. So I just fell into the trap because I remember when you made that pick months ago. And I was like, yeah, Trevor's right.

This is, and that was before they traded for McDuffie, too. Right. To be fair to you. To be very fair to you, those before the McDuffie trade. Trading for McDuffie is going more in. So you keep doing all these things to go in. You should. You're awesome.

You have an awesome coach. You have an MVP caliber quarterback. You have all these past rushers. And I don't need to keep going about how great the Rams are. I love watching them week in and week out. And then you do this. It's just, it's just totally off the path for a player that I don't know. There's things to like about Ty Simper.

I didn't think he was a top 15 pick. I didn't think he was a top 20 pick. So, yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you. So that one was very, very shocking to me. There's a world where obviously this works out. But you're kind of threading the needle here. Like you think you think Ty Simpson is special.

Like you don't just think he's like a quarterback that can, you know, win some games for you. You think he is a special quarterback if you're doing, what you did here. So maybe the Rams did, but I'm with you. Draft process, not trading out here, sticking and picking, taking him at 13, not picking somebody who's going to help you in a Super Bowl winning window. I think all of those things go against this pick. And I think that whatever grade you want to give, if you give out Fs and Ds during the draft, I'm always hesitant to do that because I do think that there's a side of why a lot of these picks, even the ones I don't agree with,

happen. But if you go to Ds and Fs when it comes to draft grades, this would be as low as it gets in my opinion. So yeah, it's, it's just a weird process on a night that there was some twists and turns. I know Rams fans are probably even more confused after that press conference. And we're only going to find out more. So yeah, he's got to be really good now. There's no way around it. I just got to say, and we're going to get to it.

But when the Bain pick came in, my mention's just filling up with the Riggler. The Riggler, it made my night. I can't tweet, and I know you're the same, I can't tweet during the draft because we're both shooting so much content. But I still get to peak once in a while. I just seeing mentions filled with the regular. It was just, there he is right there. Right there.

I went back. I went and I looked at the YouTube comments on the Bleacher Report show, which shout out to everybody. Shout out to all of the addicts that watch the Bleacher Report show that I was on. I really appreciate you guys. Obviously, the same thing for everybody who supported what Sims and Connor were doing over with NBC. We appreciate you guys. Thank you so much for supporting both of the things that we were.

doing here even outside of this channel. It was very, very cool. But the regular comments were flooding the bleach report stream when this happened. I couldn't believe it. I was floored. The entire time, I was just waiting for this team to trade out. And kind of as Jason Light talked after the draft, he basically said we wanted to trade out, but Ruben Bain was on the board of 15. So what are we going to do? Essentially, if that player is not on the board, they're probably trading out of that pick. But my number three overall player in the class, my number one defensive lineman, and somebody who immediately, immediately is the best pass rusher for the Tambay Buccaneers.

I love him at 15. I love when they show the war rooms because, I mean, of course these guys know they're on camera, but you get reactions that are more chill because they've been bracing for the pick forever. You get reactions that are, you know, and then you get the Bucks room where Jason light, like you could tell he couldn't even believe it. And then Todd Bowles is smiling. You got a motion out of Todd Bowles. He's like, finally.

Which you never do. You never do. Somebody's going to save my job. And it's Ruben Bain. And Ruben Bain's walk from the room he was in to the podium was like Omar and the wire. I was like, oh my God. Everyone's in big, big trouble. He is piss off that it took this long.

Yeah, it was pretty sick, man. So those are the two places I had to start with before we peel back to the top of the draft. And you know what? Low moving cost, baby. Hop in the U-Haul, Miami to Tampa, just cross alligator alley in the U-Haul. It's all good. Tristan Worf's will come.

He'll pick you up. He'll help you move the stuff into the U-Haul, and you guys can head up to Tampa and start to get to work. Let's go back to the very top of the draft because that is where I want to start here because you and I were saying that we thought this was going to be R.Vell Reese, and Reese goes a little bit less. later than we thought here he goes number five overall. You know, it was an interesting, like I said, at the very top of the show,

we got a lot of the names that we knew were going to be in the top 10, in the top 20, just in the first round overall. But the teams that they went to, I don't want to say, I don't want to say that it was illogical because I think that that would be too far. But I looked at a lot of these selections and I just went, God, I just don't think this was the best pick for you. And I just kept feeling that all the way through probably the top 10 picks. Like the top 10 just very much surprised me, David Bailey being the pick for the Jets at number two on top of that.

So what did you think about David Bailey when you saw the name that it was officially him at number two? Obviously not shocked when it's gone back and forth between these two guys. Definitely got this one wrong. You know, and the Jets is one that I always try to try to really get right being it's the local team. and I do their pre-imposed game. And I'd say they held this close to the best, but it's no coincidence to me that four of the big national guys in a 48-hour span all of a sudden had the pick

in the same exact message where they were like, Glenn needs to get someone that helps now to save his job. And I was like, that's a horrible message to send. But if that's the one you want to send, it's clear that they all found out. And hey, they're the big dogs for a reason. While a lot of the beat stuck with Reese. And I do think, I do think there was real debate over this with the Jets.

I don't think it was just as simple as they were always taking David Bailey. I think there was a lot of discussion of, do you go with who you have, because they were going to play this player mostly on the edge, who you have to project more in Reese that could be a superstar in a year or two. And I love R. Bell Reese. I think the Giants are great. Or David Bailey, how good do you think David Bailey is going to be? It's kind of the question.

If the Jets think David Bailey is an elite pass rusher, then you have to take him it to. That has to be what they're thinking. So, I mean, I was a little bit more excited about their other picks than this one. Not that I think Bailey is a bad player at all. But it's the number two pick in the draft. And you always want at least the idea of a superstar. And Arvel Reese gave you the idea of a superstar. I think David Bailey will be a good player.

And that's kind of where you're hung up on. And back to the whole visit gate, I'll just go back to what someone said to me. And I don't think they're going to miss on this pick. I think he's going to be a good player. But someone did say to me, if they miss on this pick, it's going to look really, really foolish on them that they didn't do a visit. Because you always have to do it.

When you're picking in the top three to five, you have to carry everything through, do the most due diligence possible. So that was bizarre. So I don't love that process. And I criticize the Jets processes when they're wrong. And I give them credit when I do things I like. So yeah, a little weird how we got here.

But ultimately, I liked David Bailey. I know a little bit more than you. He was easily a top 10 player from me in this draft and, you know, hopefully the Jets play with enough leads that he actually gets to rush the passer because that was a problem for Will McDonald last year, not getting those opportunities. Yeah, and I think that talking about Arville Reese probably is a natural way to talk about the rest of the top five here because Reese goes number five overall to the New York Giants.

And when I was on the show on Bleach Report, I see this name come across the screen and I go, what? Where's he playing? Like what are we do? Like even with the Kvon-Tibodoh, like potentially getting traded type of talks, where's Zarville-Rice going to play? Right. Because even if you want him to be more of an off-ball linebacker,

you want him to be an inside linebacker for you in a three-four? I know that they've got a lot of faith in Tremade Evans very clearly with bringing him in. And look, I won't lie. I'll give them credit for this. a front four of Brian Burns, Abdul Carter, Tremaine Evans,

and Arville Reese is one of the fastest linebacker groups in the NFL, no question about it. So the athleticism that they have at the linebacker level, whether it is off ball or on ball, is imposing.

And I really do understand that. But I think that it's really funny, Connor, that you and I, well, I can't remember exactly. Did you have Reese, do you like him more

as an edge rusher? as an off-ball linebacker. Today I like a more as an off-ball linebacker. Okay, okay, so do I. So when we were going through our positional rankings, especially a linebacker, we had Arville Reese in there. We had Arvill Reese as we like him the most as an off-ball linebacker. And then he goes to the combine, and then he has a great combine.

And then he says at the combine, no, no, no, I'm an edge rusher. So now we're trying to find all of these spots for him to be an edge rusher. Well, the whole time over the last two months, you and I have been talking about, like, this guy can play off ball. He's so good when he hunts the football in space. And here we have the NFL. Guess what? The Jets clearly didn't think he was an edge rusher.

The Cardinals didn't think he was an edge rusher. The Titans didn't think he was an edge rusher. And the Giants don't think he's an edge rusher. So it's just, I think it's very hilarious that we spent the last two months talking about how we're supposed to hype ourselves up for Reese being an edge rusher. And in reality, the league agreed with us the whole time that they see him as an off ball linebacker type. It's a great point by you because obviously all the combo was around the Jets at two.

And everybody, and I fell into this, no denying it. Like how are they going to pass on him? And then the whole combo was, well, if the Jets really pass on them, Arizona's either taking him or getting a haul for somebody wanting him. And that didn't happen. And we know how badly Arizona wanted to trade the pick. The Titans took Carl and L. Tate, which we'll get to in a second. And Robert Sala, all he does is want to compile edge rushers.

So you're right, Trevor. I think Arvel Reese, if the Giants truly have him play off ball linebacker, I think he could be a star. I love the player. But it kind of probably goes back to a little bit of the positional value. And maybe teams feel like he is a bigger projection on the edge than, and they were willing to stomach. And that's what ultimately hurt him here. I think it's great for the Giants, though.

I don't want to overlook how much I love this for the Giants, as much as it seemed. It took a minute to digest, I think, for everybody. Yeah, yeah. I think I'm right there with you. This is still a hell of a football player. It was just very much, like, at the time, all we've been told is that he's an edge rusher for the last two months.

So we just, at five, I go, where the hell is he playing? and now that I actually get to sort of look at, you know, the pay on paper of him playing inside linebacker, I think he's going to have to get better in coverage for sure. But I think that there's a, I liked him a lot as an outside linebacker. So I guess I can't be too mad at this, even though it was a little bit of sticker shock when it happened. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that the Arizona Cardinals went with Jeremiah, I love.

You predicted this in your last month draft. I just, I think it's ridiculous, man. You now have, the Arizona Cardinals have, if I did my, you know, light math correctly this afternoon, they have over $60 million now guaranteed to running backs on their roster. The only other team that comes close right now is the Saints at slightly above 40 million because they have Alvin Kamara and Travis A. Chan. And when Alvin Kamara is no longer on their books, the Cardinals will essentially have double the next closest team in guaranteed money to the running back position

when you have Elijah Wilkinson and Oliudo trying to start a right tackle for you for an offensive line that was bottom 10, if not bottom 5 in almost every single category along the offensive line last year. I just, Jeremiah loves a hell of a football player. Yeah, that's the tough part, right? Number two overall player on my board.

I think he was a number one overall player for you. He was, yeah. I just don't think this team is in a place to be picking a running back at number three. That's the tricky part, right? He's going to be a really good player. And LaFleur obviously feels like he could build his entire offense around this player. It's just Arizona's in a weird place, man. They really, really are where they're riding out the year where Jacoby was set.

And I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I think that they're obviously looking toward almost to, towards the following year already. But I don't know if that really makes sense now that you have Jeremiah Love, right? Like the rookie running back year when you're the third overall pick matters so much. It just feels like this is a team that if possible,

they need to do everything they could to trade out of this slot and just compile picks and build a roster. And they didn't do that. And I don't know what the offers were. So it's hard to sit here and be like, oh, you know, how did they not do that? But I don't love it.

And I love the player. He is my number one overall player. But that doesn't mean that it made sense for the Cardinals at three and their long-term direction of the team. So Jeremiah Love, as the number three overall pick, has his total contract has a total value of $53 million. And as a rookie picked in the first round, that is guaranteed money.

The next closest fully guaranteed total for a running back in the NFL is Sequeville. Barclay at 36 million. He's making 17 more million dollars guaranteed than the next highest paid running back in the NFL.

You already have Tyler Algier who's making 8 million guaranteed. And then James Conner is also making an extra 2.1 million guaranteed. So they have over $60 million of fully guaranteed money in their running back room.

That's pretty wild. That is number of number. one in the NFL and it's not even close. And so, hey, he better transform the offense because that's what you drafted him and you paid him to do. But I know you want to talk about Carnell Tate too. Yeah, no, I mean, yeah, it's, I guess I wasn't, I became comfortable with this pick at three that there was no shock factor.

So my reaction to it was like almost shrugged, right? Yeah. I mean, you called it. You called in your mock. You said this guy. I knew they, I knew the floor really did love him. I just, I just, and it's what I went with that I didn't do any trades. I was just sitting there like, they got to get a trade, right?

Like somebody's got to come up to three, especially when the jets don't take, if the jets don't take Reese, then someone will want Reese. But nevertheless, the real surprise factor to me was Carnal Tate at four. And, you know, it's tough for me because he wasn't my number one wide receiver. I don't think he's worth the fourth overall pick in the draft. I like Carnal Tate. I think Carnal Tate will be a fine NFL wide receiver. receiver. And I think it is weird because for Tennessee, you have to imagine it really,

you got to help out. You can't be one of those people. I do this all the time. I go, like, you got to help Cam Ward. You got to help Cam Ward. And then it help Cam Ward and you, you criticize the pick. Like, it comes off as, it's bullshit, right? I get why fans get frustrated with people that do that. I would be mad at me too. But part of me does sit here and go, you took Carnal Tate at 4. Like, maybe you knew somebody else was going to take him, but you just felt like he had to do this at four. I just don't think he'll ever live up to the spilling. That's my point, Trevor.

I do not think Carnal Tate will ever live up to being the fourth overall pick in the draft. Yeah, a tie for Carnell Tate. Now, that's good money for Cardinal Tate. Hey, it's great Carnell Tate money. It's the Titans again. Yeah, it's great. I didn't even think about that. He and Dan Moore, Spider-Man, meaming each other when they meet.

I think that this is a good scheme pick for them, because right now they don't have a player like this on the roster they can get vertical in the way that Cammore wants him to. So I do, I like this pick more than others. But yeah, I mean, I think that you look at Carnell Tate overall and would you look at him and say that he's a number four overall pick type of a wide receiver? There's probably some pushback there. But I don't mind the schematic fit.

I mean, Wondale Robinson, Ely O'Maynor, Chimery, D.K., Calvin Ridley. They're not getting vertical the way that you want Cam Ward to get vertical. The whole reason why you drafted Cam Ward is because he wants to push him down the field. Now I at least got a guy that you can push you down the field with. So I feel like I can understand that pick a little bit more. Before we scroll outside of the top five, we have over 4,000 people watching live, which is a beautiful thing here at 1 a.m. Eastern time. Let's get right outside of the top. five. Who do we want to hit on next? Browns draft in Oh no, where is? Yes. Oh no, the Chiefs, the Chiefs, right. So I believe, if I got the timeline correct, Connor, I believe the Chiefs

made this trade before the Giants pick was in. By the broadcast, yes. but you always have to remember that the NFL's system is faster than the broadcast. But my question is, do you think the Chiefs traded up to six because they thought there's no way in hell the Giants were drafting Arville Reese? Because Reese is the Chief's perfect player. I agree.

I think they just love Delaine. I know. I know. We don't have to agree with it. but that would be that'd be a big screw up if that's the case that that's that that's immediately what I thought I think they no I think the NFL system of faxing and pix or however they do it in their system was in and they then they they they saw it come through and they made the move all right yeah well that's a that's a shut down like to ruin

the fun I know it's not hey you know look I'm a conspiracy theory guy there will be there will be there will be more conspiracy theories don't you know like don't don't worry we'll get we think we went to the moon in 1960 Don't answer that. Anyways. Not the time or the place. Buddy, I don't even think we went to the moon this time. Two weeks ago.

No, I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I think, look, I think Mansour Delane's a hell of a player. You know what? My pro-comp forum is Denzel Ward. And if you get a player like Denzel Ward, because I think both of them have just such excellent footwork.

They can play in press coverage. I mean, they're just so athletic of players. If you're getting a Denzel Ward type of player, it's worth a top 10 overall pick. I think it's a little, you start losing me a little bit when you trade it away a good corner just to draft another one. And then you also had to trade up to draft that other one as well. But I do think this is a good player.

So I don't want to be too harsh on it. But again, this goes back to the fact that there was just a lot of stuff that happened in the top 10 that I was like, all right? Like, I don't hate it. I would almost love it. You know? Yeah. I felt the same way. There were a lot of pros and cons for a lot of these picks in the top 10 rather than unanimous.

like, hey, yes, love it. Like these next two, Sonny Stiles, Jordan Tyson, love them. Great, like perfect picks. Perfect picks, I think, for the commanders in the same. Would you agree? Yes, yes. I just fell absolutely perfect for them. Stiles and Dan Quinn's defense always made a ton of sense.

So this is when I started to feel real good finally. I was like, I'm kind of here right now. I got a couple of picks in a row. And then it all went to absolute hell. Absolutely hell after eight. But yeah, for the Saints, you get who I view is the best receiver in the draft. Tyler Shuck should ball out with him in Alave and that offensive line. Stiles is just the glue guy in the middle of Dan Quinn's defense, man.

I thought it's there's two no-brainers. Yep, I'm with you. Excellent picks there. Love Sonny Stiles getting to work with Dan Quinn. Love Jordan Tyson getting to pair with Chris Olbe. They really needed that. Nine is, yeah, where things got interesting, that Browns traded from six down to nine,

and they took Spencer Fonnell. and I'm going to be honest, like an offensive lineman pick, sure, okay, like I understand that. Spencer Fano is interesting, though, because he's not the type of offensive linemen that the Browns have been acquiring. All of those guys. No. Titus Howard, Tevin Jenkins, Elton Jenkins, Zion Johnson, DeWan Jones. All of those players are downhill mallers with plus size and Spencer Fonos, much more of an athletic, zone blocking scheme type of a tackle.

I love the player. He's a top 10 player for me in this class, so I can't hate it too much. I'm just surprised that Browns went with him over either Vagia Juane or Francis Maui Noah. I was surprised too. And I know this was out there a little bit, but I thought they would go with one of the bigger true tackles as the NFL viewed it. Me and you really liked Fano, so we actually obviously,

we were ironically more in line with the Browns thinking. I know. But the whole consensus vibe out there. there was that the NFL doesn't like Fano at tackle and he's not this and he's not that and he's got short arms. So I had no problem with the pick at all. I'm a big believer in Spencer Fano. But you got to tip your cap to Andrew Barry man. Andrew Barry did something that a lot of GMs and it's simple, but a lot of GMs don't accomplish. He identified the player he wanted at a position in need. He knew that player was

not going where he was picking, got more capital for free and still got the player he wanted. It drives me nuts how often GMs fail to do that. And Andrew Barry, everybody knew it, and he still pulled it off. Yep, I agree. I agree. Again, just because I'm surprised that this was the offensive tackle that they took, I still like this pick. We like Spencer Fano a ton, the move to move down and still get the same player. I do like that. Francis Malinoa going at number 10. Connor, I think this is an interesting one for the Giants, one because they didn't take Caleb downs. And they went with Francis Maui Noah.

But they also said Maui Noah was going to play guard for them. Okay, they came out and said that right away. They believe that Maui Noah is a better guard than Vega Yawane is a guard. I'll say this. I wouldn't be, Jim, I wouldn't be surprised if, I wouldn't be surprised if that is they plan until they move on from Illuminaur. And that might be. I think Maui Noah plays guard this year.

I still think he could be their right tackle the future. And if that's the Giants thinking, I'm a huge fan of that. I like the flexibility. I mean, we talked about that with the Giants potentially. We talked about it maybe with the Browns potentially of drafting Francis Maui Noah, like having that flexibility to play guard and tackle. Like the Ravens even a little bit too, if he ever got there in mock draft format. So I like the long-term outlook at that for Francis Maui Noah.

Caleb Downs getting to the Cowboys at number 11. Just, I mean, excellent. My number one overall player in the class, you're getting outside of the top 10. Dude, I don't know why the NFL does this. Every time. Think about all of them. Derwin James, not picked in the top 10. Kyle Hamilton, not picked in the top 10.

Nikki Manwari, not even picked in the first round. Antoine Winfield Jr. not even picked in the first round. Cooper DeGine, not even picked in the first round. first round. These are some of the most valuable defensive players in the NFL. Caleb Downes is sitting here telling you that he is exactly that. And once again, the lead just doesn't draft him in the top 10. I've just floored every single. And let alone, Thinemann last till 25. That's the steal of the draft. That's the steel of the draft, in my opinion. You got a player who I had in my top 10. I had Thed him in seven overall,

and you got him at 25. That's a steal of the draft. Yeah, I mean, it goes all the way back to Earl Thomas, man. Earl Thomas went 14th. It's just not a position that gets taken. And you know what? Good for Dallas, man, because they never do this at this position. And they obviously felt that way for this guy. And it's, I think it was worth every bit.

I love this for Dallas. Caleb Downs, man, he's just, talk about an instant upgrade you get from day one. The versatility, how interchangeable he is, is the word I was looking for. Like Downs can really handle any role I think you ask of him from the safety position all the way down to cover in the tight ends in this division. You know, he's your matchup player against the Isaiah Likelies and the Goddarts of the world.

So, but he's also good against the run. Yeah, great for Dallas. So when I was on the Bleacher Report show, Malik Neighbors, the Writers here for the Giants, obviously. He was on there as well. And he wanted Down to be drafted by the. Malik neighbors, the barista. Yes.

Yeah. The Starbucks barista who's down the street in New York, we just needed somebody else to fill the chair. He wanted Downs to go to the Giants so bad. And he was talking about on the show how when Malik, his last year at LSU, it was Caleb Downs freshman year at Alabama. And he said he remembers playing them because Caleb Downs was calling out Malik neighbor's routes before the ball was snapped. and that was when Caleb Downs was a true freshman. And so Malik was, I think people are, I think people are giving him too much crap about this.

Like he really wanted Downs because he's like, I'd much rather play with him than against him. I don't want to play against him. And then he ends up going to the Cowboys, so he's kind of like freaking out about it. But like Malik had such high praise for Caleb Downs, even of what he was as a true freshman at Alabama there. So yeah, great pick there.

Miami 12 going Caden Proctor. kind of the mini surprise. You know why? I did not see this one coming. No one's talking about this because Ty Simpson went right after him. That's true. It was like, it was like, no, look over there. So, yeah.

Here's the thing with Proctor, who I found myself really in the middle on. I think I had him 25th or around there. He's just going to be valued differently by a couple of teams because of his unique size and power when his hands connect. You have to manage. His conditioning. You need to make sure that the weight he got down to for the combine he can play with this year.

You need to fix. Do you see Sabin's quote about that, by the way? Yeah, it was a, I mean, it wasn't shocking. It was not flattering. Yeah. Yeah, he's like, oh, like, don't expect him to be like a self-starter and a self-motivator. It's like, brother, this is the NFL. What?

Like, I don't want to hear that about a guy who's floating around 630 pounds, or 300, 600, 360 I don't want to hear that. Yeah, it would be. It would be like the sumo guy, the replacements showing up to play guard. How do I get around this guy? Yeah, I'm not going to lie. It's not what I would have done in this spot. I agree.

It's not what I would have done. But I'm not surprised with their regime that this is kind of the style they are going to lean into. Yeah. By the way, sumo wrestlers as NHL goalies. Why don't we see more of it? I've wondered this for a long time. I've wondered a lot of that because the goalies have gotten a lot bigger in this era.

Like every NHL team in the NFL scouting world is chasing the 6-4-65 goalie now. I wonder when that's just going to trickle down to youth sports where like you're going to have like high school goalies that are like 6-7. Like, goalies are just going to keep getting bigger. They really are.

I don't know if sumo wrestlers, though, are going to be a net. I don't know. You got to think about it. You do have to move. The post, kind of. Whoever the most dog shit team in the NHL is should probably just try it next year. Be like, I don't know, he is.

Let's go scouting in Japan or something. You know, let's figure it out. Okay, let's scroll down a little bit. Who we have, oh, Vagia Yawane to the Ravens. I mean, the most commonly mock draft pick of all time. Kenyon, Sadiq. At 16 to the Jets. So it's funny what you don't entertain

when you go through eight millions of these conversations, as I do on Badlands. For the longest time, I thought Sadiq was going to go to the Ravens or Bucks. And then even if he made it past them, I'm like, I don't know if the Jets have like, you know, the appetite

that early for a unique player. But I was wrong. I like Sadiq a lot. And I know there's, it feels like there's a fear with people in Sadiq because he's such a unique athlete. And we've seen that fail at tight end before.

But I love his demeanor and his mentality. I think he plays a hard-nosed style of football while being a freak athlete. And I'm very curious to see how the Jets use him and Mason Taylor now in 12-personnel. That's going to be really, really fascinating. Well, especially because when you just combine the overall draft hall for the Jets now that they also have Omar Cooper Jr. I kind of thought to myself, I was like, all right, well, you know, they're going to have Kedansity play off the lines.

scrimmaged a little bit. They're going to use them in the slot and have the outside. And then they drafted Omar Cooper Jr. and like, okay, well, Omar Cooper Jr. is going to play in the slot. So they really do think that Kenyon, and this, this makes sense, right? I think the only reason why you draft Kenyon City at 16 is you believe he could play on the line of scrimmage. Like, you may love him as a receiver, but you've got to believe that he can play in line for you, at least some. A little, like something. Give you something. Yeah, I'm with you on that. even if it's off of Mason Taylor, overloading one side.

Do you think, you think Taylor will be the main inline tight end, like the main F tight end for them? I think so. What people forget with Mason Taylor was, he was only 20 years old when they drafted him, which is nuts. So I couldn't even have a beer.

He's never had beer. He doesn't even know what it, I mean, he can't even imagine what it tastes like. Yeah, right, right. He's never been around it. I know he's listed, 251 right?

now that'd be a shame. That'd be concerning. I mean, he could be 255, 260 by the time he gets in a camp, it takes on more of that, that kind of goal. Yeah, I just,

yeah, a couple of little seasons. You're right, though. You know what we're talking about, yeah? You're right. It's going to be fascinating.

Yeah, Cooper played a lot on the outside in 2012, but I thought he did his best work from the slot this year. Garrett Wilson plays inside sometimes, too. He does both. Right. Right. Right.

I'm very curious to see, you know, it's on Frank, right now man you got all these freakish athletes and guys that create after the catch and you got to make it happen the jets don't score points so i don't know why that just made me laugh of you just you just sort of like absolving yourself of all blank going like hey it's on frank now you know

He's going to feel right at home. 54 straight starts at right tackle at Clemson for Blake Miller. So this is a player who I don't often say the term plug and play because I think that's overused. And I honestly think it's overrated and a lot of times it's not true.

But for Blake Miller, I do think that he has enough veteran experience at that spot where you feel good about him going out there as a rookie. How many Saturdays do you, how many plug and plays do you give me on Saturday? How many can I use? Two? Two plug and plays? Oh, oh, on the stream? Yeah, on the show. Brother, if you talk about a fifth round player as a plug and play guy, I'm going to lose it on you.

Trey Smack. Florida kicker. Got him. Got his ass. Plug and play. It's too late. It's a little cam off of me. Tyler, not now.

Here's the thing. Here's the thing. Can you imagine drafting a kicker? I can't. But enough about that. Oh, man. How shocked are you that Caleb Banks goes 18? I was pretty damn shocked.

I thought, no, I thought Caleb Banks was for sure going day two. For sure going day two. Yeah, because of the foot injury, for sure. Now,

I love that Brian, and Flores got somebody with an absurd ceiling at defensive tackle, where, like, Flores is going to be on him as soon as he's healthy and get the best of him. Yeah, I was surprised. I was really surprised. But, dude, this goes back to the whole big people conversation. Caden Proctor goes 12th. Teams that chase these guys, that there's just not a lot of them on earth,

they get valued on a curve. and I get it because if you hit on them, you have somebody different in the NFL. Having a unicorn in the NFL is the ultimate superpower. You're going to miss a lot along the way trying to find them, but the risk is worth it once in a while and the Vikings are willing to take the risk. I like Caleb Banks a lot, man.

I root for that guy because when he's healthy, he's freaking awesome. I know we see defensive tackle a little bit differently in this class. He's the only one I'd consider at 18. Like if you're going to take one at 18, yes, he's the only one that I would consider. So I'm shocked he got in the first round. But if you told me, hey, the Vikings are going to take one, he's the player that I would tell you that they were going to take because of the ceiling. Monroe Freeling goes to the Panthers in 19. I was very shocked about this.

Yeah, me too. I thought that I thought they were going to be. Now there's a world where Monroe Freelink starts for them this year. So I can't be totally shocked. But I thought they'd go playmaker, man. I wonder, I wonder if they wanted Kenyon Sadiq. and when he went off the board, they pivoted off into tackle. Sims on our video reactions was alluding to that a couple of times.

That this was the Sadiq range if he made it here, like that Minnesota, Carolina. And I agree with them. But I think that I didn't see anybody having Sadiq to the Jets. So I think teams were caught off guard by that too. And they go and I didn't think Freeling would be there at 19. So somebody's got a fall. Which speaking of at 20, that was Mackay Lemon. although I'm not going to lie.

I can't sit here and be like, I can't believe McClellan went in the 20s. Like smaller, slower receivers typically don't go as top 15 picks. Lemon's really good. It's not to take away from him as a player. It's just that this kind of player typically will go through a mini slide. And he ends up in Philadelphia as they reshape their wide receiver room because they're going to trade AJ Brown.

Yeah, right. And that's the thing is, I was on the set with Lefco, who's a big Eagles fan, and he was torn. He didn't know how to feel about this because he has Jalen Rager PTSD, so I can understand where he's coming from. But I tried to let him know, like, Lemon's not really that player. I'm not really worried about that with him. Now, the worry that I have with Lemon in Philadelphia is the quarterback that he plays with.

Jalen Hertz is not a in-rhythm, short, and intermediate type of quarterback. Like, Jalen Hertz is a shot play type of a quarterback. That's why the Eagles were so good two years ago because they were just running all sorts of shot plays with AJ Brown and Devante Smith and nobody could stop them because they had to stack the box with Sakewan Barkley. So you didn't have any safety help over those two wide receivers and it was just shot play after shot play after shot play. Now if AJ Brown's going to be gone and you're drafting McCoy Lemon, it's going to be a lot more about in rhythm, okay, hitting a guy on a timing route, letting him get yards after catch type of a thing. And I don't know if Jalen Hertz is that type of a quarterback. So I love the player. Everybody who has listened to this podcast for the last year knows I love the player.

But the fit, even with subtracting AJ Brown knowing you need a wide receiver, Jalen Hertz better evolve. Jalen Hertz better evolve who he is as a quarterback or this pick's not going to look good and Jalen Hertz isn't going to look good and that Eagles offense isn't going to look good. That's a great point. I'm not really overconfident that this is just some layup landing spot from a Kyle Lemon. But we're going to kind of see how it takes. shape over time.

Maxianicher loved it to the Steelers. Absolutely loved it. He gets to start at right tackle. Your boy, Troy Faltono gets to move back to left where he played at Washington. Like, I think I loved this move here, especially with Mackay Lemon off the board. Yeah, which just sounded like they were calling him or about to call him or. Oh, yes. Or no.

What was it? No. Mackay said himself, he was on the phone with the Steelers when the Eagles traded up the 20 and then they took him. That's a crazy draft night story. Which is excellent intel by Howie Roseman. Of course. Excellent intel.

To know that the guy he wanted was going to go at 21 so he trades one spot ahead of him. He always knows. By the way, everybody in the chat, if we, you know, we're not really skipping over anyone, but if we go light on a player, Trevor and I are going to grade every single draft. Yeah. We're going to go through it. So like this is just kind of a, you know, light touch over the round. over round one but if you're new to this show um we're going to be going deep dives on

yeah yeah yeah right right right i also i don't think we're going that like like we're giving our analysis on players yeah you know a key messador is part one of what i established of what would be the dream draft hall for the los angeles chargers akeem messador in round one chase bassantus in round two. You have the opportunity to have the dream draft hall, in my opinion. And it started tonight by getting a key Mestore, who I think is going to be an excellent pass rusher for them as an interior rusher or an edge rusher. I think his versatility actually sets up very, very well for what the Los Angeles Chargers wanted to do on the defensive line. So obviously, you know I love a key Mestore, but I love this landing spot for him specifically. I did too. You look at this team right now.

Obviously, Kaleel Mack is still really good, but he's, he's an older version of Kaleel Mack. and Tully Tully Politu, you know, another underrated kind of guy. But the Chargers, man, they're trying to win right now. And Messador is a win now player. He's got more pro ready hands. He knows how to get off blocks. He plays the run. He's got a wide variety of moves.

He can counter. That's something that a lot of guys learn when they get into the league. Messador's already learned that. So the Chargers, this was a win now pick with a win now kind of player at a position where it felt like they kind of needed that infusion. The Chargers clearly played the, Like they're like, let's see how the board falls to us. Let's not panic here.

And they did that perfectly with Messador. Yeah, I think this is an excellent pick for them. Another edge rusher goes right after him. Hey, shout out to Daniel Jeremiah for this because he's been mocking Malachi Lawrence to the Dallas Cowboys for a little bit now. He's, he had this one as a match here. And obviously he gets that the Cowboys trade down. So it's not at 20, but it's sitting here at 23. I actually really like this for them.

depending on how much they think that Donovan Azaraku is going to be healthy this upcoming season. I mean, I think they needed that juice on the outside still. Rishon Gary, okay, I like the addition. I like you taking a chance on them. But you look at the last couple of years for Rishon Gary, they have not been what you have wanted them to be. So sure, you can have faith that he's going to be better now that he's not in Green Bay and change his scenery. But you need more than just a, oh, yeah, I feel like this guy could be good for us.

The only big drawback I have here is that the Cowboys, they drafted two good football players who I think are going to help them. Who's starting to Mike for this team? It's the one big glaring spot. DeMarvy and overshone? Connor, they don't pick again until 92. I was just going to say, what's their next pick? Unless they got an extra one for the trade down that was ahead of that.

Let me see. Trying to. Let's see what that. the Cowboys have now. No, their next pick is 92. Yeah, it's 92. Now they do have three fourth rounders. Maybe they can package.

They have three fourth rounders? Yeah. I see three fifth rounders. I'm seeing three fourths because then they get two fours tonight for the trading out of 20. Okay. So maybe the list I'm looking at is an update. Yeah, yeah. So they have 112, 114 and 137.

those are all in the fourth round. Oh, okay, so then they have three. They have three fifth round picks too. They used the fifth rounders to go up and then they got the fourth rounders to go down. So they actually did a really good job with the asset allocation. So this is what, it's kind of tricky. They can, if a team just wants quantity, the value of 92, their third round pick. And let's package both 112 and 114.

Screw it. They'll keep 137. would kind of put them in the around like the low 50s. Can you get Trotter? I don't think Alan will make it. But can you get Trotter, Gold Day? If Jacob Rodriguez falls, I won't be shocked.

I won't be shocked. I'd be shocked if he falls that far. Like 50? Yeah, I think he's going well before 50. Bottom line. Dallas by value now with the extra fours can come up for that offball linebacker. We'll see, but it's a big move. I agree.

I agree. Three picks to go back into the second round. Yeah, we got to get a linebacker. I think of people to chat are shouting on Anthony Hill Jr. from Texas as well. I'm not the biggest fan of Anthony Hill Jr. But that's the range. Yeah, a lot of people are like him in that range. We got Casey Concepcion off the board with the Browns at 24.

It makes sense, right? You go Spencer Fano at the top. And then you take the wide receiver at 24. I would not have taken him over Boston or Cooper. I would have taken Boston for this team. That's what I like. I'm okay with Concepcion over Cooper, but I would have taken Boston for the Brown specifically.

The only thing I could say with Monkin, when you watch Concepcion's NC State film, you could see how he'd want to use him like Zay Flowers, but it doesn't change. my thoughts. He doesn't finish enough plays for me. This isn't the receiver I wanted in Cleveland, but hopefully they make it work. I would like Boston better, and Boston's still on the board, man, going into day two. I think Boston will be a better player than Concepcion. Time will tell. Okay. Maybe somebody said in the chat, maybe the Browns can get Boston at 39. Maybe.

Ooh, that'd be nice. That'd be real nice. Dylan Deenman goes 25 to the Bears. We touched on this a little bit earlier. This is the steel of the draft in my opinion. I, Dylan, him in my seventh overall player. I think you can play from depth in closed coverages as a single high free safety. I think he can play strong safety as a box safety for you. I think he plays at the linebacker level. You can put him in a slot because of how quickly he can flip his hips

to run with really great athleticism. He's great when tackling from depth. He's great making interceptions on the back end, even when he is the only safety that is back there. This to me is the steel of the draft. And the only reason why he's going 25 is because the NFL, for whatever reason, does not value the safety position.

They don't sign these guys to big money. They do not draft them very highly. I do not understand why when they're some of the most versatile, impactful chess pieces in a modern-day defense. I think Dylan Theoneman is the man. I think he's perfect for a Dennis Allen defense that really focuses on forcing turnovers. This is the steal of the draft to me. Dylan Theanman going 25 to the Bears. Yeah, you obviously love him.

I like the player quite a bit. What I like more or just as much as the player is him and Kobe Bryant are one of my favorite safety Tandom's in the NFL immediately. They're interchangeable. You could ask them to cover so much ground on the back end. They can take away the football in the air. They fit this division really, really well. I just really like the pairing of them two together.

I'm with you. You want to go rapid fire real quick with some of these picks that we have left? Yeah, our guy, John, sent the super chat. He was asking about, I believe, the Texans, did he say, did they get their center of the future? I mean, I think Rutledge is a true guard. I do too, yes, yes. And I mean, like, he's going to, and he's going to whoop ass in their system. He's an ass kicker.

He's an absolute bull. Yeah, I mean, I think that he fits what the Texans are trying to do on the offensive line, because you could tell during the second half of the season last year, they shifted from more of, okay, they were trying to run more zone concepts in the beginning part of the season. And then at the ending part of the season, it was a lot of between the tackles. It was those duo downhill power run concepts. And I think the Keelan Rutledge is perfect for the direction that they were going based off of the second half of last year.

Chris Johnson, I think, is a perfect scheme fit with the Miami Dolphins. I mean, he is somebody who we talked about this pre-draft. I don't want him in a lot of press coverage situations. No. And Jeff Hathley did not run a lot of press coverage stuff last year with the Packers. A lot of it was off-zone coverage stuff. That's exactly what Chris Johnson does super well. he's a great tackler. He's very smart. I think he's immediately CB1 on this team. So I love the scheme

fit here specifically for Chris Johnson. Yeah, I was a little surprised. He made it into this early. I liked Colton Hood better, but you nailed it, Trevor. They're such different players. I saw Hood as a press man corner. I like Johnson's eye discipline and athleticism playing off. It's going to be, he's taking a huge step up in competition compared to what he covered, who he covered at San Diego State. But Miami needed to help their corner room so, so badly. And then you look at Caleb Lomo at 28. I don't want to say it shocked me, but I'm fascinated by the plan here.

I'm surprised. Lomo played left tackle for Utah. He told me at the combine, he has been training a lot on the right side, knowing that this could happen. They're not going to move Will Campbell inside. I guess they're just going to kind of wait until the wheels fall off with Morgan Moses, who's really getting up there in age and wear and tear. Lomu is just so green as a run blocker.

and this team is really committed to running the football. Yeah, and they're winning now, right? You just made the Super Bowl. So what's your path to playing him this year? I mean, is it, surely I think that they're best starting five. Well, maybe it's not depending on that. Maybe they just think that this is a completely developmental type of a pick. But if they do, I'm surprised they didn't go with an edge rusher.

I'm surprised they didn't go Zion Young or T.J. Parker or Army. Mason Thomas or Gabe Accus. I liked all those guys maybe a little better in this spot. As much as Lomo's talent can definitely be developed. There's a lot to work with there. I think it all just comes back to, I just would like this team better if they moved Campbell inside. But I mean, they signed AVT who's going to play left guard.

Jared Wilson's going to play center. They have Yon Wenu at right guard. Yeah, this is a developmental pick, I think. Peter Woods going to the Chiefs. I think it's a good landing spot for him. I wasn't going to love every landing spot in the first round for Peter Woods. But yeah, you go to an attacking front. You're going to play next to Chris Jones.

You're in a rotation with Omar Norman Lott. I do like that landing spot for him there. We've talked about Omar Cooper going to the Jets. And we talked about that a little bit with Kenyon Sadiq. Keldrick Falk to the Tennessee Titans. I mean, I don't like it because I just, Salah's entire scheme means you have to get home with four. So now you have a defensive line that, okay, sure, you're going to be very stout against the run.

Right? You have Celtic Falk. You have Jermaine Johnson. You have John Franklin Meyer. You have Jeffrey Simmons. That is a stout defensive line that is going to be able to hold the line of scrimmage and defend the early downs very well. well, you better hope that Jermaine Johnson and Keldrick Falk really continue to develop as past rushers. Because if not, you're going to have to send a lot more resources to affect

the pocket the way that you want to on those long third and down distances. So to me, I just, I think there are way more edge rushers that I have ranked higher than Keldrick Falk. Simple as that. Yes. I don't even think he fits all his scheme very well. I mean, if they didn't sign JFM and wanted that Lex big end that plays inside and outside of I mean like, okay, that's how they saw Keldrick Falk is the new JFM. No, you went out and paid JFM to be JFM. So, solid scheme to me with edge rushers, get off the ball, have one guy on one side that converts a lot of speed to power,

have more bendy or speed rusher on the other side. They traded it back in for him. I'm with you, Trevor. I can't sell this because he was not. I had multiple pay. I had at least four or five edge rushers ahead of him on the board. Actually, I'd say, last pick, Judarian Price. I love it.

I love it. I love this pick. I hate it. Go ahead. Judarian Price can be a star for Seattle. He's got big playability. He's got natural feeling outside zone. He's got untapped potential in the past game.

He's a good pass protector. This is a team that they did such a good job making their identity. They build it to run the ball and then build the play action pass game with Sam Darnold off of the threat of the run. I don't know. I get why everybody's going to hate it. It's the old hate the running back pick. I think Price could be a star. I'm excited to watch him and I'm glad John Schneider was like, screw it.

I'm just going to take my guy. They probably didn't have a trade here that they liked. That's surprising to me. I don't know. Look, I know that they were doing their due diligence to look into trading back. They only have four picks in this entire draft at first, the second, a third, and then I think a sixth round pick, if I remember correctly. You're using one of those picks in the first round on a running back after losing a lot in free agency.

Now they did lose running back in free agency, so they're replenishing that. And I will be fair. I'm lower on Judarian Price than I think a lot of other draft analysts are. But I felt like it was because he was very scheme dependent. This is the scheme you want him to go to. Dude. So this is absolutely the spot where you would want Judarian Price to go. He's going to run mid and outside zone.

That is exactly what his bread and butter is. That's where all of his biggest plays came from. So he's going to the right team. He's going to be in a running back rotation. So he doesn't have to be a full-time Belkow running back. So the place that Judarian Price is going to, I like. So I don't know if I can really say that I hate the pick. But with only four selections in this draft,

I'm going to be critical on the fact that I wish you would have moved out. And I don't love the fact that you drafted a running back with one of four picks in this draft when you're coming off the Super Bowl and kind of continuing to try and repeat. So that's what those are the cons. The pros are I think he landed in a great spot, but I would have much, much, much, much, much, much, much rather seen the CLCAX trade out of this pick. Michael asked first time two running backs from the same school drafted in the first round. No, you are probably a young fellow, but Darren McFadden and Felix Jones. And I believe Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams in 2005. Yep. Bucking near great Cadillac Williams. People

And if you want good offensive linemen, typically you have to take them in the top 40 to 50 picks of every draft now because they just naturally go. Yeah. This is the last one, Elijah, said with the Reese pick, does he end up playing mostly off the ball? Would we have been better off taking Stiles or Reese? Or is Reese in that Duntta High Tower role and maybe a full-time edge, eventually a better bet?

Yeah, I think that the Duntah Tower mole is the one that you're kind of going to want to bet on the most because it's hard for me to not sit here and say, okay, well, if you were going to play him off the ball, why didn't you just take Sunny Stiles? So to me, I like Sunny Stiles better as an off-ball linebacker. but there's a world where they do just believe that he evolves into this true Apex Predator can play all these positions on the defensive line.
