Starting point is 00:00:00 We gotta come up with a way better tiebreaker for the supplemental draft. It should be skill-based. Imagine it's Darren Mugi and Moti Asimport have to play like Super Smash Bros. Oh, now you're speaking my language, baby. No, you gotta do rock band. So your VP of personnel or your head coach needs to be on the drums. Right, right, right. You are just sweating, crapping yourself, knowing that if you miss this high hat beat,
Starting point is 00:00:23 Brennan Sorski is going to be throwing putties for the other team. I can't imagine more pressure than that. After much delay. Welcome to the opening bell of the NFL Stock Exchange podcast. Sorry, we're like 10 minutes late on this one. I was washing my hands. Or was I? We're going to have some fun here on this show, this offseason edition of the show,
Starting point is 00:00:53 which Connor, it means that we get to basically talk about whatever we want. So me, you, the chef, we all got together and we're like, hey, you know, it would be fun. Taking a look at the very first mock draft that we did in 2026, for the 2026 cycle, I should say, because this is back in 2025, and see how it's step. backs up with what actually happens. So that's what we're doing here on today's show. We're making a little game out of it where the chef put together a scoring system
Starting point is 00:01:19 to see how accurate we could be. We'll dig into that in a second. But Connor, how you doing, my friend? I'm good, man. Have you looked back at our first mock draft? So I actually went back to look at it and I got like four picks in. And then I was like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:01:35 I just want full surprise on the show. I don't want to know what these picks were. And so I actually tried to save it here for the show. I looked at the top 15 because I was just so curious of like the glaring differences. And then I was trying to think, you know, if we even did odds and evens, which we did, I figured out real quickly that we did. But it is going to be a lot of fun. We're trying to incorporate on the show and we're going to see how it goes. And yes, that camera is sparkling, Trevor.
Starting point is 00:02:03 It's sparkling. New camera, folks. New camera. We got the new camera. One of these days I'll actually use mine again. Yeah, we need to get. the settings because we will have matching. We basically have the same camera.
Starting point is 00:02:14 Yeah. So that'll be a summer project for me. But we are going to see how looking back at some different content can go, whether it's regrading our grades, redrafting. We won't get to do a ton of it because summer scouting is coming up and you guys know that's our bread and butter.
Starting point is 00:02:30 But this is definitely a really, really, this will give us a lot of laughs today and a lot of oh, wow, that guy actually had the season that we expected. I can't wait. This is going to be. a very fun topic. We haven't done something like this before.
Starting point is 00:02:42 And we're going to do a couple of things, I think, over the next month or so that have to do with look back content. We'll look back at the 20, what is it, 2024 draft or 23? Whatever three drafts ago, 2023 draft. And we'll take a look at sort of the guys that we were higher on that ended up working out. Some of the guys that we were higher on that didn't end up working out. And so that'll be a fun exercise as well.
Starting point is 00:03:05 But this is a little appetizer into sort of the look back that we'll have over the next couple of weeks. Sully in the chat is saying, Trevor, did you buy that camera off of Christopher Nolan? Yes, they use this camera shooting the Odyssey. And obviously they're done with that now. Christopher Nolan is the kind of person who, you know, some people, they'll wear a shirt one time
Starting point is 00:03:23 and, like, I can never wear that shirt again. That's Christopher Nolan with camera. So I just, I bought it off a discount with him. So yes, this is the same camera that they used to film the Odyssey, of course. The Odyssey cast is unlike anything I think I've ever seen in film. It's basically just the all-star group of Christopher. for no one films. I mean, it really is.
Starting point is 00:03:41 He made every single call he had to. And clearly, everybody was down to be in this movie. I couldn't believe it. Yeah, I mean, I can believe that they all were down to do the Odyssey. You know what I'm saying? Because of the magnitude of this story. Yeah, man, it's great. Like, everybody knows the Lillian and the Odyssey.
Starting point is 00:04:01 And obviously, like, the movie Troy that came out in, what was it, like, 0,304, whatever it was. It was a long time ago, yeah. Watch that one on the plane. when I realized that I couldn't watch any new Jake Gyllenhaal movies because they didn't have the catalog on there, went ahead and just watched Troy instead. So it's pretty recent to mind. That's the first movie. No, what is it? What does everybody make fun of you?
Starting point is 00:04:21 You've only seen movies after 99 or something like that. People make fun of you for. I forget which one it is. So that doesn't count. It doesn't count. Oh, when you watched Shawshank finally? I did watch Shawshank finally. Like six months ago, maybe?
Starting point is 00:04:33 No, a month and a half ago. Worse than that, brother. Way worse than that. Incredible. Incredible. Um, okay. I'm just, I'm just laughing at the chat right now and everything. I'm trying to focus. Are they go, are they going after my movie takes or what's happening? That's usually what they do. Yeah, sir. I see, uh, the red chimmy chiri of cameras actually is a nice, I think a compliment to you.
Starting point is 00:04:55 I'll take it as a compliment. I can't take any sort of red chimmy chary slander. By the way, this is not a, you know, we're not sponsored by Costco unless, you know, big Costco is listening in which we will, of course, we would love to be sponsored by big Costco. But they have chimmy churry that I found. and I've been putting that on eggs every morning like every single morning because we're locking in on a diet
Starting point is 00:05:17 it's summertime, you know? You got to lock in. You got to lock it on the diet. You got to lock in on the gym routine. The sun's out. If you're starting out, it's too late. No, come on.
Starting point is 00:05:28 Come on. It's all the shirt's off season. Look, you can enjoy, but you can enjoy August if you know you're putting the work right now. There you go. That's what I'm trying to do. That's what I'm trying to do.
Starting point is 00:05:35 I'm trying to get one month out of it before we then go crazy during the NFL season. Okay, should I read the scoring rules here from the chef? Yes. So we're going to reveal the, our first draft that we had for the 2026 cycle. And we're going to do that in increments of five. And the way that the chef wants to score this is one point if the player was chosen in the first round.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Okay. two points if the player went to the correct team so obviously it's not going to be in the correct slot but and then three points if the player went to the correct team oh okay in the first round so if we end up getting a match in the first round then that's going to be big for us because we'll be getting three points but then minus one if the player wasn't drafted at all so So they declared for the draft and then they didn't get drafted at all. I like it a lot. Definitely.
Starting point is 00:06:42 And I was having my car, Siri, read these out to me in our text thread. And I was trying to keep up now that I'm really, yeah, you can imagine processing that on the drive home. But honestly, it's going to be really cruel. An August mock draft. Tyler's goal is for us to get 15 points. Oh, no shot. I think, I think. You don't think?
Starting point is 00:07:06 You're not going to get any teams and players together because the draft order is not even the draft order. Oh, have some faith. A lot of players don't declare that are in mock drafts. So you're literally banking on getting 15. I would say 15 in the first round, but you also get subtracted when the player's not in all. I think breaking even is a win on this. Let's do it. Let's see.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Now I'm really curious. Okay. I would think like zero to five points would be a good score. Okay. So Tyler, because he's a good producer, of course. He has what happens. That's very true. Thank you for correcting me there.
Starting point is 00:07:43 He has what actually happened on the left side. And for the audio only, people will try to, you know, walk through this as best we can to be as communicative with you guys as well. By the way, I do see some super chats in there. As always, we will read the super chats at the end of the show. So that stuff is coming, we promise. And then we'll reveal it. So before you reveal it really quick, Tyler, the order that we had for the way too early 20, six mock, which I believe, did we post that in August? August or early September, I think,
Starting point is 00:08:10 end of August, early September. The Cleveland Browns are picking number one. The New Orleans Saints are picking number two. The Tennessee Titans number three, very interesting, pretty close in the Titans. The Jets are picking four, so close on the Jets as well. And then the Giants were picking five where they actually ended up selecting in the draft. I don't think that we'll get the R. Vell Reese match because R.V.R. Luis was not thought of that highly.
Starting point is 00:08:36 He wasn't a starter. Yeah. Okay, let's see it. Let's see how many points we get here. Let's reveal it. Oh, Garrett Nussmeier. Garrett Nussmeier, number one. Because we didn't put arch in this, obviously.
Starting point is 00:08:51 We did not put arch in this. You're right. We went through a... See, I did get to that point of the podcast. And right after that's kind of like when I wanted to shut it off. But we did have a good back and forth about the man in conversation of whether or not we thought he was going to declare or not. And we did make this with the hindsight of that was after week one.
Starting point is 00:09:13 So we got to see him play pretty poorly versus Ohio State. And we were like, yeah, not so sure he's going to be in this class. That's when he became undraftable under America's eyes. Yeah, basically. Yes. Yes. So we had Garrett and Usmeyer going number one over all of the Cleveland Browns, which the chat correctly pointing out,
Starting point is 00:09:34 we do get a point or... No, we don't get anything. No, no, no, no. We don't get anything for Nussmeyer. We almost got negative one points for Garrett Nussmeyer. Wait, why do you get a minus point? If he didn't get drafted at all. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:09:49 I thought it was didn't get drafted in the first round when we were talking about the scoring. No, no, no, no, no. So if a player goes back to school, like is... Oh, oh, okay. All right, so I take it back. You don't want to break. You don't want to break, you.
Starting point is 00:10:01 You'd be way too harsh on us. I think we got a chance of 15. I don't. I think we got a chance of 15. I don't, but okay, we'll keep it going. Have some faith. You know, and then, hey, Jordan Tyson went through the full circle with him. Look at you.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Look at you. I was never going to quit that one. You made the, you know, Spencer Fano. I know. Kind of went through the full circle, quietly went through full circle with Spencer Fano. It felt like sometime after the combine arm length measurement, everyone's like, well, Spencer Fano, he's probably going late 20s now. I'm like, okay.
Starting point is 00:10:30 So, yeah. Yeah, so it wasn't, so the chat is saying negative one for sellers. We don't get negative one because he went back. It's if they got, they went in the draft. We probably should have done a negative one like if they didn't get picked in the top 100. But the chef already put the graphics together. We didn't fight him on it when he sent the rules. That's our fault.
Starting point is 00:10:51 The chef obviously blameless. We're the morons who didn't pay close enough attention as per usual. Caleb Downs going number three overall to the Tennessee Titans. So we got a point there. he didn't go in the top 10. Yeah, you were on Tyson at number four with the Jets. And then Fano, I agree with you, man. Like, it felt like, it felt like with Tyson and Fano,
Starting point is 00:11:11 there was definitely the coming off of summer scouting, the highs of how good we thought these guys could be. And then Tyson had the injuries. And you're like, oh, boy, here we go again. And then Fano kind of got cooked by David Bailey. And you're like, oh, boy, this might not be great for him. But then both of those guys, stocks really bounced back. either from their film the rest of the season,
Starting point is 00:11:32 or as we kind of went throughout the draft process. So very interesting. Yeah, it's going to get much harder as we go on, though. So I'm kind of curious to keep the page moving because down, Tyson, Fano, great prospects. Sox said minus one for not believing in Pavia. That's fair, it's fair, it's fair. Okay, so what actually happened in the next group of five is Mansour Delane going six
Starting point is 00:11:55 to the Kansas Chiefs, obviously a trade up there. Sonny Stiles, going number seven to the Washington commanders, There's Jordan Tyson going number eight. We were pretty close on that one. With him going eight to the New Orleans Saints. Spencer Fano goes number nine. I wonder if he was there. Does he actually get to go to the Giants and do we,
Starting point is 00:12:10 would we have snuck in some free points there? But Francis Malinoa ends up going at number 10 overall. So, okay, here we go. Would we have in what we have back in September? Whoa, we got to do it. We got eight points. The McCoy pick is out of this world. Out of this world.
Starting point is 00:12:31 I don't remember this when I went back and looked at the top 15 last night at all. I skipped right over that. Three points, baby! I was dead wrong. We're killing this thing. We were on it. We were on it. We are killing this thing.
Starting point is 00:12:45 We knew the draft a year in advance. Make sure, by the way, for the audio only people, it's because the Las Vegas Raiders are picking number seven overall. And we gave them Geron McCoy, and he went, what, 101 to the first pick of the Las Vegas Vegas Raiders had to have them. Hey, never wrong. Just early, baby. Right away, Bjork says, rigged. Always is.
Starting point is 00:13:13 Never doubt the wriggler. He's unstoppable. My hands are clean. Metaphorically, of course. What's up those sleeves? We'll never know. That's true. You will never know.
Starting point is 00:13:22 So Peter Woods still goes in the first round. He didn't have the year that he was hoping to have. McCoy was all medical. McCoy genuinely would have been a top 10 pick without the knee. I agree. I mean, he was a top 10 talent. So the thought process here was, you know, Aller is a sad story of a guy going back to school and it go almost ending up the worst case. At least he was a top 100 pick.
Starting point is 00:13:47 Yeah, he's top 100 pick, right. But I mean, Aller, you know, and to kind of, I don't mean to do the caveat or like protect our ass because we're wrong all the time and we're open about that. But Trevor, we did try to do even for a first mock more of how these guys were viewed. But if you go back to our summer scouting, we weren't high on sellers or Aller at all. No. Yeah. I think both of us had sellers outside of our top five. He was not my or your top five.
Starting point is 00:14:18 I remember the first combo I ever had with you last year, I was like, dude, Lenora Sellers has a long way to go. And you were like, yeah. Yeah, that was the, that was the. the part of the conversation with him is it's just like, okay, we're talking about this guy as a number one overall pick. And obviously he's got all the physical talent in the world.
Starting point is 00:14:35 But when we were going into the season, there was a lot of hype of like, hey, if Lenoris even just got a little bit better, he could be that number one overall pick. Now, obviously he goes back to school. We'll see whether or not that was the right decision for him. I wonder if Lenoris would have declared in this class anyways.
Starting point is 00:14:53 How high do you think he would have went? Yeah. Because we had so, but we had so many teams. I know. He just, he had a bad season. I know. Yeah, you're right. I mean, I think he would have went somewhere on day two
Starting point is 00:15:10 because it's the same thought process as this mock draft. He is loaded up with traits and tools. And this is kind of the combo with Sorsby right now. Loaded up with traits. But, you know, guys, when they don't take that step forward at all and all they have is those traits, There's just a barrier typically to get into round one. So, but I'm curious.
Starting point is 00:15:32 I'm curious what the chat thinks as well. Given how desperate it feels like the Jets were for a quarterback, the same thing with the Arizona Cardinals sitting there at three, man. I mean, does he get away from them at that point? Is it a day two type of a thing? Are we not even considering him in the top 10? I'm curious what the chat thinks about that. We had, so the Carolina Panthers were picking six
Starting point is 00:15:54 and they took Peter Woods in our way too early, Mark. Seven, we already mentioned the Las Vegas Raiders, took Germant McCoy. Eight was the Colts taking Drew Aller. Nine, the Dallas Cowboys, Ruben Bain from Miami. Yeah, you wish, guys.
Starting point is 00:16:11 And then at 10, the Seattle Seahawks, wow, that's funny. The Seahawks, I'm sure the order was based on odds to win. Odds to win the Super Bowl. Yeah, Super Bowl, sorry. Yeah. Because I saw right away, somebody was in the chat not happy about us
Starting point is 00:16:26 doubting the Saints, but we don't make these odds. Yeah, it's the coward's way out. Not my fault. Blame Vegas. Blame Vegas. Or do we make the odds? Does Vegas listen to us? Stay tuned. Maybe we do. By the way, kind of amazing
Starting point is 00:16:39 that Caleb Banks came into the year clearly as a fringish top 10 talent, barely played any football, and still went 18th. And still went 18th. That's how talented he's viewed. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:54 I agree. Somebody in the chat says El M. Mayo doubting the Saints, they picked eighth. That's actually fair. That's actually fair. But it looks really good at the end of the year. To be fair.
Starting point is 00:17:05 It was a, that was probably the most encouraging we pick eights in the draft you're ever going to see. It really was. We got it all. By the way, Peter says Sellers would have had to fight Sorbsby
Starting point is 00:17:22 for the one supplemental draft hell in a cell style shout out hell in a cell be a busy week for helen it's been very big hell in a cell week i actually went down a rabbit hole the other night oh did you yeah best hell because all we think of naturally understandably and pop culture is mankind and undertaker and i was like what were the best because we've talked about this for tremer like we when we were that age number one we were we were pretty young you and i and two we didn't get paper views that was like advanced rich people stuff but i was like i was I was like, what were the best, and Hellness Sell was a, was a paper view event.
Starting point is 00:17:58 They didn't just have a lot of Monday Night Raws with the Hellness Sell match. Yeah, I know. I know. So, I was like, what were the best Hellness Cell matches of all time? Sneaky one, Triple H and Cactus Jack, if anybody's, you know, needs a YouTube watch later. Whoa. It's nuts. It's actually, it's, well, Triple H was in a lot of them.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Yeah, this one, though, it's up there with Taker and Mankind. Okay. Mick Bowley, just being the Hell in a Cell. King is just like an amazing reputation. I feel as though like Mick Foley and then Shane McMahon, the way that he put his body on the line despite being the owner's son. Right, you're rich. You don't have to do this.
Starting point is 00:18:43 He was doing it for the love of the game. The love of the game and to prove a point. Yeah. Like I'm not sending a message. I have all the money in the world. I have the greatest technically nepotism, you know, trajectory ever needed. Yeah. And I'm jumping off of 30-foot leaps through tables, destroying my body just for the love of the sport.
Starting point is 00:19:06 That's true. It's very true. It's insane. It's very true. All right. So we've got eight points here through the top ten. Connor, you doubt it. I did.
Starting point is 00:19:13 I was dead wrong. I just want to go back to the tape and say that you doubt it. I mean, just horrible, horrible stuff from me. Let's see what we got here. So for the 2026 draft, oh, Tyler, this should be flipped, the, the dolphins and the Cowboys. Cowboys traded up to 11 and got Caleb Downs. And then 12 was Caden Proctor to, what did I say? I just messed up what I just said there.
Starting point is 00:19:42 Caleb Downs went to the Cowboys and then Caden Proctor went to the Miami Dolphins. Ty Simpson went 13 overall to the Rams. Vega-Gawane went 14 overall to the Baltimore Ravens and then the Buccaneers, of course, because I rigged the draft, got Ruben Bain there at number 15. When we look at the way too early, it was the Patriots who picked it number 11, the Rams who picked it number 12.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Okay, but that was the Falcons pick, so we knew that was actually pretty close to where it ended up. Dolphins picked 14. Oh, the Steelers pick 13, and then the Chicago Bears picked 15. All right. Do we get any points here? Do we get any points?
Starting point is 00:20:17 One point. One point. Point. One point. Oh, you look at you. Look at you sneaking your boy, Savior Scott, into this bad boy. And number 12 to the Rams. So I remember that exact moment. When I did it, you were like, oh, my God, he's doing it. And then unfortunately, Xavier Scott got hurt, I think, in week two of the, he got hurt real early.
Starting point is 00:20:41 He was on like a scooter at practice. I was like, ah, no, it's not happening for him this year. I mean, you followed me up with fireworks with Sam Levitt. Oh, okay. Yeah. All right. All right. All right.
Starting point is 00:20:55 To be fair. We were trying to make a statement in this portion of the draft. In my defense, with all things being considered. Yeah, all right. It's fair. Sam Levitt has still, and it's going to be fascinating to go through his summer scouting of what we saw last season versus what we saw in 2024 as well because the kids got a how it's urban arm. But he might have the best armed talent of any quarterback that's even coming up in 2027.
Starting point is 00:21:23 I mean, the kid has serious arm talent, especially for him being a little bit smaller of a quarterback because he's, he's not that big, right? No, no, no, no. He's a little bit smaller, but I mean, the kid can't. The kid, the kid's got a rocket launcher attached his shoulder. We had T.J. Parker going 11 to the New England Patriots didn't get any points there with Parker not being a first round pick. Wait, Parker. Second rounder. Second rounder.
Starting point is 00:21:49 Yeah. I had to do a double take too. I was like, I thought he snuck in, but no. Second rounder. Xavier Scott at 12 for the Rams. Three guys that went back to school. Yeah, Levitt to the Pittsburgh Steelers. AJ Harris.
Starting point is 00:22:02 Yeah, boy, AJ Harris. Now in Indiana. So I got some faith that we're bouncing back this year. Great place to transfer to. And then Jeremy, I love it out for everyone. Jeremiah Love at 15 for the Chicago Bears. Yeah, I mean, imagine that. What a world.
Starting point is 00:22:23 We're doing better than I thought. Yeah, I know, because you thought we'd get like two points. Yeah, to be fair, I thought. This is why this show is widely known as the most accurate, way too early mock draft show on the market. That's how everyone brands us. Yes. When our TV advertisements run.
Starting point is 00:22:45 Yeah. To be fair, I thought that, can you imagine if we had a TV commercial? Our full-page newspaper ads. Something to think about. You don't be a funny bit this summer. We should buy a billboard. Come on. Like, you can make it really stupid.
Starting point is 00:23:06 And it could be... I was just going to, I was almost about to interrupt you and be like, how do you want us to blight money on fire this summer? Go ahead. exactly what I want to do. Go ahead. We'll go to the most desolate place we could find where it's like 35 bucks a month for the billboard. Yep.
Starting point is 00:23:21 We'll get a graphic designer and we'll make something really, really stupid. We'll put all of our gimmicks on it. Hellness L Thursday, you name it, it'll be on there. I bet if we, because I've made this drive many times. Well, many, handful. I-75 going north from Florida to, you know, that's the way that you get to Atlanta. When you cross the border from Florida to Georgia, before you get to Macon, making Georgia, that stretch of road, I mean, there ain't shit there.
Starting point is 00:24:03 And every billboard that you pass is wide open. They are begging people to put their faces on these billboards. And those faces, it could be ours. You might be honest. With each side has the no symbol, the red circle with a line through it. One is Big Tux, one is Safeway. As long as they can't sue us for defamation. So we're not even, so you don't even want to promo the show.
Starting point is 00:24:34 You just want to hypothetically take down our enemy. It is not enough that I succeed. Others must fail to. So you want to politics smear campaign big tucks this summer is what I'm, is what I'm hearing. The best year book quote of all time. It's not enough that I succeed. Others must fail. Yes, that's exactly what I want.
Starting point is 00:25:00 What wide receiver tweeted that? Which wide receiver was that? You know, you know AJ Brown's firing that. Okay. All right. After the trade. All right. I want the chat to help us out here.
Starting point is 00:25:13 You guys tell us, Connor, read the quote again, and you tell us which NFL wide receiver would make this their Instagram caption on the Monday after the game. It is not enough that I succeed. Others must fail. I need to know which wide receiver you guys think would say that. I got to know. You said, AJ, probably George Pickens.
Starting point is 00:25:37 Yeah, probably. Defon Diggs three in a row right after that. Everyone's just going with Stefan Diggs. Hold on, hold on. Shout out to the Martavis Bryant mentioned. Brandon Ayuk. Oh. Pickens is a good one.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Although, Pickens is a good one. To Pickens' credit, I mean, unless I just miss it, he doesn't do a lot of that. I don't think so. He's just wild on the field.
Starting point is 00:26:05 Yeah. He's just competitive to the fault line. To the fault line. Oh, dude, somebody said Steve Smith, Sr. I mean. That would have been if Steve Smith, Sr. is the right answer in the best way possible. In the best way possible.
Starting point is 00:26:23 And I say that as a Bucks fan growing up, because I had to watch, actually, I can't remember if I've told this story before on this show. So I'm in Charlotte, North Carolina now. And there was a preseason game that the Panthers were playing. Like, it wasn't against the Bucks or anything. but a good friend of mine, Mike Kay covers the Panthers, and he was like, hey, like, would you be able to get a credential, like,
Starting point is 00:26:47 through PFF? You want to come, like, cover the game with me? I was like, sure. So I get credentials, and so I get to go to the game. And one of my really good friends was doing play-by-play for the game for the preseason. And the color commentator was Steve Smith. And so I'm meeting my friend before the game. I go over to the box where they're doing the play-by-play stuff,
Starting point is 00:27:10 the broadcast booth and I'm talking with him and everything and Smitty walks him and um Taylor Zazer is who my friend is he was like he was like hey he was like Smitty I want you to meet Trevor and he was like Trevor's the lead draft analyst for PFF like he does all this kind of stuff for PFF all the you know whatever and uh oh oh and I say and I said and I said Steve and Steve was very nice he was like oh like I love PFF I love you he guys to stop like I love all the data points. Like it's fantastic. It really helps me out. It's awesome. I was like, oh, I love to hear that. And I said, hey, I just want to let you know, I was a Bucks fan growing up. And I was continuing my support. There was more on top of that. And he immediately just looks at me in the eyes and just goes,
Starting point is 00:27:56 I'm sorry. And just like deadpans me. And I don't know if he was saying, I'm sorry that you were a Bucks fan, or I'm sorry that I terrorized your favorite team for probably the better part of a decade. I don't know what that was, but like I kind of laughed and I said to him. I was like, you have always been one of my favorite receivers because he has. And I, and I was like, and that means a lot because you were terrorizing my team as you were doing it. And obviously he got a kick out of that. And it was good fun. And it was great to meet him.
Starting point is 00:28:30 He was super cool in a little bit of time that we got to meet. The scariest apology of all time. It was, I mean, he couldn't have been more jazz. genuine by looking me dead in the eyes and I said, I'm a Bucks fan. He goes, I'm sorry. The competitor at him. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:28:43 Yes. And that's why he's the perfect person for that quote on Instagram after the game. Yep. All right. Next group. All right, see if we could bounce back a little bit. We only got one point in that section. All right.
Starting point is 00:28:56 So this was Caney and Sadee going 16 to the Jets. Blake Miller going 17 to the Lions. Caleb Banks, you mentioned going to the Vikings at 18. Monroe Freeland going 19 to the Pan. and the Macai Lemon going to the Eagles at 20. We got to get Macai Lemon in here. We love, I had wide receiver one for summer scouting. So we got to somebody.
Starting point is 00:29:14 I would think he's in this mock draft. He's got to be in this mock draft. He's got to be. So we got the Cardinals, the Vikings, the Broncos, the Texans, and the Cowboys again. Oh, Cowboys at 20. Oh, all right. Which? Which is where they were?
Starting point is 00:29:30 Okay, we got one. Close on Sadiq, by the way. Damn, very close on. Not only one pick off. but I think I said this on our draft night after show. I know the Vikings really like Sadiq in this draft a lot. And I think we're a little surprise, not surprised, but, you know,
Starting point is 00:29:49 they're like, ah, he didn't make it to us. And, you know, they pivoted and I'm sure they're very happy with Caleb Banks. So the point is, that was one where we were really close.
Starting point is 00:29:58 That one was close. Boston ended up going in the second round. Yeah, Boston slid a little bit. Conard Loo. Big Citrus had a down year competitive. compared to his 2024. Damn. Yeah, so for audio only, I'll recap it here.
Starting point is 00:30:10 Arizona at 16 went Denzel Boston. Kenya Sadiq went 17 to the Vikings. Connor Liu went to the Broncos at 18, which, you know, I think was a need for them. But Connor Lou tears his ACL. Yeah, when he tore his ACL, that just sunk that rocket ship. It felt like he was on as a prospect. Right. Houston Texans at 19 went Jennings Dunker.
Starting point is 00:30:31 The Cowboys at 20. You mentioned Big Citrus, Dominique Orange. which I didn't mean to cut you off on big on big citrus I jumped ahead but I just saw the chat was surprised but I think it's easy to have revisionist history when you're coming off summer scouting some of these guys have massive massive seasons and then when the tape forget they don't build off that tape
Starting point is 00:30:53 but they actually trend downwards you think of like T.J. Parker for example T.J. Parker is a good player. He was a monster in 2024 he didn't match that in 2025 and he went in the second round. Denzo Boston's the one where he did have a really good year. He just didn't go in the first round. So Lou tore his ACL, Dunker needs to move inside.
Starting point is 00:31:17 Yeah. And Big Citrus was not only banged up, but he just wasn't the same level of impact that he had in 2025 that he showed in 2024. Misfed in the chat saying everything runs on Dunker. I see you. I see you. Very clever.
Starting point is 00:31:31 Christian said, this is why I love the Bengals, getting Lou in the fourth. and then Matthew right after him said the Bengals getting first round pick Connor Lou in the fourth best front office in the sport. I mean, I know that it's a little tongue in cheek, but they traded their first round pick for Dexter Lawrence and then they got a player who probably was top 50 caliber if he doesn't tear his ACL. I thought so.
Starting point is 00:31:52 You get him in the fourth round. I thought that was, I thought a lot of where the centers went in this past draft were great value. I think the centers were underappreciated in this past draft. And I think a handful of those guys are going to have chances to be impact starters for the teams that end up drafted them. I agree. And you even see So Graz says, honestly, was surprised Lou declared after the ACL. So was I. Because he was a redshirt sophomore or a junior.
Starting point is 00:32:19 And he was a team captain. But he wasn't like a fifth year senior. So he had tons of eligibility if he needed it. But he decided to go. And he fell a little bit further than I thought. I think he's going to be a really good pro for Cincinnati. Addie. T.W.
Starting point is 00:32:32 Isn't Dunker a Texan? No, we did a lot of mock drafts where he was with the Texans. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's funny when it gets ingrained in your brain where a player is and then they don't go there. Right, right. Joe is saying, so if he's healthy, he's a first round talent. I don't know if Lou, I don't think Lou would have actually been a first round pick. Now that I'm kind of like really thinking about it.
Starting point is 00:32:53 I think second round is when you're a really good center, it feels like second round is where you really get picked for a sweet spot. unless people just think that you are a crazy, crazy, crazy town at the center. But I don't think that Connor Lou, for as much as we liked Connerloo, I don't think that he was going to get, you know, Tyler Linderbaum type of hype or something like that. All right. We're at 10. Can we get five more points in the next 12 picks? So Maxiana chairman, 21 to the Steelers in the real draft.
Starting point is 00:33:24 Came Messor right after him to the Chargers. Malkai Lawrence of the Cowboys of 23. Casey Concepcion with the Cleveland. Browns. By the way, I feel like on this show, you know, we do a lot of like, you know, the quotations, you know, like Connor, Connor Rogers, Rogers, you know what I'm saying? We didn't do enough of Kevin, Kevin Concepcion, Concepcion, because that's quite literally what he goes by. Casey, in his name, simply stands for Kevin Concepcion. Yeah, that's a tricky one.
Starting point is 00:33:58 So his name, the way that he wants it, is quite literally Kevin, Kevin Concepcion, Concepcion. Well, I would imagine every coach and teammate calls him KC. So when he goes by what people call him, it's KC, and then you get into the draft process, and it's like, well, I'm KC. And then they write down KC and then put his last name. So, although sometimes it's not as smooth of that, like Vel-Rice. And R. Bel-R. Rees was like, I know, nobody calls me Vel-R-R-R-Reece. Yeah, I can't. I can't do the Velve.
Starting point is 00:34:30 Vell, I don't know how you feel about it. No, he'll call him. But does he want him to call him that? Did he come up with him? No, I thought somebody asked him, and he was just, he didn't really understand why it was labeled that way. Yeah, I'm not down with that one. No.
Starting point is 00:34:45 I just go straight to Velve-It, you know, like I'm calling it. Yeah, I just, and I don't, yeah, yeah, that's, I don't like that one. I don't like when a guy comes up with his own nickname. There, I said it. That's a big no. You don't get to pick your nickname in life. You just don't. It just don't.
Starting point is 00:35:05 It's very odd. All right. Let's see the big reveal. See if we got points here. Come on. Wow. Oh, three points, baby. Speaking of really bizarre names, R Mason Thomas.
Starting point is 00:35:22 Just are. Just are. Our Mason. The Bucson. Caldric Falk at 21, imagine. Well, the Titans saved our ass on this one. Yeah, they did. They traded in for Keldrick Falk.
Starting point is 00:35:38 Yeah. Chargers, David Bailey at 22. Good value since he went number two over. Yeah, not bad. Carnell Tade to Washington at 23. I feel like there was a chance where we were pretty close to getting three points out of that one. Because I feel like if he slides a little bit,
Starting point is 00:35:56 there's a good chance that he could have been that pick there for them at number seven. L.T. Overton going to the Cincinnati Bengals at 24. Obviously, Overton went a lot later than this. Never developed as a pass rusher. No, he just didn't. And then Armacian Thomas, you mentioned. Yeah, him going 25 to the Detroit Lions.
Starting point is 00:36:15 And was Thomas, he wasn't still on the board, was he? When the Lions picked it 44 and they took... No, I thought he went. He went 40th. Yeah, because I was going to say, like, I think our Mason Thomas is definitely the Lions type. I think we were on to something here. Yeah, he went, he went pretty early.
Starting point is 00:36:37 All things considered, he was only, what, 15 spots off of this selection, and that's, he got hurt in 2025. So, Aiden says LT stands for lettuce and tomato. I mean, it should. It's pretty sweet. That's a sweet name, especially if you're a pass-rush, and tomato? Lettuce and tomato.
Starting point is 00:36:58 LT. Yeah. Yeah. You think we're going to do it with seven picks left? We only need two more points. I think I know one guy we had in this that got drafted in the first round. Because we both liked him over summer scouting. Mackay Lemon's got to be in here.
Starting point is 00:37:21 Oh, and that's not even who I was thinking of. So we should get 15. If you didn't put Mackay Lemon in this, I'm going to have some questions. There's no way. I'll time travel and beat myself up. Kick my own ass. Dude, I will. It'll be the first thing that I do when time travel gets invented.
Starting point is 00:37:41 If I didn't get Mikhail Lemon in here. Yeah, yeah. Okay, do we have all seven on the next screen? Man, this guy's good. This guy's good. Oh, boy, we do. What a drum roll, by the way. Okay, hold on, hold on.
Starting point is 00:37:55 In the real draft, we had Keel and Rutland's going 26 to the Houston, Texas. It's not going to get that one. 27, the Miami Dolphins, Chris Johnson, the corner from San Diego State. Not going to get that. 28, Caleb Lomu. We got a shot on that one. Got a shot on that one. Peter Woods at 29, we've already gotten a point for Peter Woods, so we don't get anything there.
Starting point is 00:38:14 Omar Cooper Jr. at 30. We're not going to get that one. No. Keldrick Falk, we already got the point for. Already got the point for that one. And then Judarian Price, no chance. We're hoping for. what are we hoping for?
Starting point is 00:38:30 Mackay Lemon and who's the other player? The player I was thinking of was Maui Noah. Oh! We both liked Maui Noah. We gotta get him. He had a really good tape from 2024 and he plays offensive line. It would feel weird if we didn't have Maui Noah in this mock draft.
Starting point is 00:38:49 I think we're going to get to the 15 points. I just don't know who it's going to be besides Maui Noah, who I think is in here. I think we get 16. Yeah, because I agree you would think Lemmon's in here. There's a shot on Lomu when I look at. this list. Let go in the chat said
Starting point is 00:39:06 Mackay Lemon stinks. Not here he does. Not here he doesn't. No. I like the conviction though. No. Nicely done. Nope.
Starting point is 00:39:14 Not here. All right. Let's do it. Fire away. I bet we get 16. Oh, not the subtracted point. Oh, God. We wait, we got 15.
Starting point is 00:39:29 We got exactly 15. Oh my gosh. I totally. Look at this. Look at this. The Riggler! That is amazing. The Riggler.
Starting point is 00:39:45 He got to exactly 15. Oh my gosh. My heart sank when I saw the red text. Yeah, the red was early. Isaiah World. Isaiah World. How could you? Didn't get drafted.
Starting point is 00:39:59 Dude, you got to be the Riggler for Halloween. Oh, my gosh. What do you mean Halloween? I'm the Riggler every day. brother. Every day. Your closet is just 10 versions of the Riggler costume. Dude, I'm sweating right now.
Starting point is 00:40:13 Holy cow. That was intense. That's how we know it. At 26 to the 49ers. Avion Terrell, 27 to the Chiefs, Isaiah World of the Philadelphia Eagles at 28. Mackay Lemon,
Starting point is 00:40:28 the Baltimore Ravens of 29. Camari Ramsey, 30 to the Buffalo Bills. Caleb Lomoo. There is. So all three guys. we thought had a chance. All three ended up in it.
Starting point is 00:40:38 We just didn't think there'd be a subtraction. And then Xavier Chaplin, the offense tackle from Auburn, going to the Los Angeles Rams at 32. I'll definitely take responsibility for World. One, I really thought he was going to develop into a high-level tackle at Oregon. And then two, he didn't take that step. But it was like, okay, he's going to be a project pick on, I thought, fourth or fifth round.
Starting point is 00:41:04 And then he tears his stuff. whole leg up. So it was like now he's not even drafted. So talk about the worst combination for a prospect that, you know, people were talking, including myself. I was right at the front of it talking highly of over summer last year. Somebody in the chat's asking, why is it minus one for Isaiah World? He did not get drafted. So the rules that the chef or producer put at the beginning of the show is, what was it? If a guy is in the draft but doesn't get drafted, it's a tracking. The guys that don't get a subtraction or a plus,
Starting point is 00:41:40 obviously either weren't taken in the first round or weren't in the draft at all, like chaplain. Right. Now, Ramsey and Terrell were both in the draft, but they got picked just not in the first round. So we're getting subtracted for basically being really far off. Now, what I will say is a lot of guys go back to school because they didn't have the year that they needed to, but it kind of saves you in that light. But World didn't have the luxury to do that.
Starting point is 00:42:05 This is fun. This is a really fun exercise. I like this. Good scoring system by the chef. Yeah, this was, we've, we've had a handful, we've had a handful of new ideas that we've done,
Starting point is 00:42:16 I think over the last really eight or nine months, that we're going to do at an even like higher scale this year. And this is, this is something that I would love to remember to do same time next year. And maybe we'll tweak the scoring system a little bit. But like this is a ton of fun to do, especially because you and I, we do a million mock drafts, right?
Starting point is 00:42:35 So, yeah, we have the first one that we do, but we do so many. It's like you totally forget some of the players. Like Xavier Chaplin, I would, I totally forgot that he was even considered here as a top 50 type of a player. But yeah, it's crazy how it makes you look back. And now, yeah, chaplain's at Florida State now. I thought he transferred. Oh, is he? Yeah, I was like, I don't think he's at Auburn anymore.
Starting point is 00:43:02 So. But yeah. Is Xavier Scott still at Illinois? Or do you... I believe so. I think he stayed. Illinois, they always have good defenders. Yeah, he's still at Illinois.
Starting point is 00:43:14 So... Man, I hope he's all good to go. I thought it would be way worse, obviously. I'm actually pretty surprised how many guys were standouts in summer scouting and still went in the first round. Ooh. Sograz is saying that we should each do a mock draft and make it a competition. That is fun.
Starting point is 00:43:36 Loser has to do a pod dressed up as the other person, or as the other person requires. So Connor would just have to dress up in a regular. I'd be the regular. Yeah. 100%. 100%. I would actually like really think that's hilarious. I would enjoy it.
Starting point is 00:43:52 Yeah, I'm down to do we each do mocks this year or we end up counting the ones that we write maybe. Because I really do like that our first mock together, we do odds and evens. It's kind of just tradition. Yeah, yeah, that's a good point. I don't want to get away from tradition, but maybe we use the ones that we write for where we work. Or we find a way or work. What is that?
Starting point is 00:44:16 I wasn't going to say it. Is that like a- I was going to let you say it. That sounds like something. Can you imagine having a job? Yeah, couldn't be me. It's full-time work being the regular. My wife calls me a stay-at-home podcast dog dad, so.
Starting point is 00:44:34 And that is what we're. we all are aspired to be. That's true. That's true. We're living it. We're living the dream. No, I think that that could be good. If NBC is going to have you write like a way too early one at the beginning of the season, we can count that one.
Starting point is 00:44:47 Or what you and I could do is we could like behind the scenes, we could each essentially like write one, not a full article, but just like write out a first round mock. Have that before we do the episode together. And then it's like, okay, then the episode that we did together, it can't influence that one. so we've already given like the written ones of Tyler. So there's a way where we could still make the show collaborative because I do agree like that's a fun part of the process. But that we could also do this mock draft competition. I think so too.
Starting point is 00:45:19 Maybe we get the Discord involved. I'd love to find a way we can do Google Sheets or we can do something where everybody can submit their own. That would be fun. And maybe the best one that would take a while to go through these. All 5,000 people in the Discord would have to dress up as the wriggler. That's right.
Starting point is 00:45:38 5,000 wrigglers roaming the world. That is actually the plot of a horror film right away. Everything is just rigged in life. I think it is. I think it is actually the plot of a horror film. That would be awesome. And guys, we want to try to do a lot more like Discord content with you guys this year. So like that's a really cool way because you guys have taken the Discord, which by the way,
Starting point is 00:46:01 if you guys aren't in the Discord, you got to get in there. We've got the link to the Discord. It's free to join. It's really cool. Even like throughout the off season, like people are talking about in the team channels. You're talking about like, oh, what they want to see from their players in like OTAs or training camps and things like that. And obviously like the general channel, they're talking everything football. There's there's all sorts of like sub channels for other like different parts of life.
Starting point is 00:46:20 There's a gaming channel in there where I've gone back and forth about like video games and all that kinds of stuff. So it's a lot of fun. So if you're not part of the Discord, like we said, it's free to join. So go ahead and do that. Plus we're just going to do we're going to try to do a lot more things on this show that are more chat. and addict, inclusive, I think is a good way to do it. That's the right way to put it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:41 All right. Super chats. Throw it through your super chats. We don't have a ton. So this will be, uh, this will be an easy one. Um, let's see. CT gave us a $50 super chat here. My goodness. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:46:57 Gentlemen, went to a safe way after closing the bar at 1.50am Pacific Standard. time. Safeway's 24 hours? Couldn't tell you, brother. Yeah, I'd never go near one. Is Safeway open 24 hours? It says most are not. They've reduced there.
Starting point is 00:47:19 Is it a Walmart situation where it's like there's some that are, some that aren't? Yeah, but it does say they're open typically to one or two a.m. So the story is obviously not made up in any way. I'm not saying that. But I would have just actually been impressed for once at Safeway if they were open 24 hours, but they're not. So to continue this super chat, sorry, went to Safeway after closing the bar at about 150 a.m. Pacific Standard time this morning. Meat umbrellaed four Buffalo flat wings got my coffee and chalky milk alongside the breakfast uncrustable. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:56 Before I hit up Chipotle and demanded a Chimmy Churry at the register. That's the most NFLSE experience. that you could probably tie into a story that might actually have happened. If a theme park made an NFL SC ride, that's what you go through. You get on the roller coaster. It's like the Michael Vick experience, but it's welcome to the NFLSC experience. And they strap you in and it's just uncrustables and chimy-cherry sauce and umbrella wings. You're strapped in.
Starting point is 00:48:28 You're at the bar. You have the last sip of your Modelo. You have to close it out. Then it takes you to a safe way. You got to meet umbrella the wings. So you go somewhere better for wings than a safe way. Oh, man. That's true.
Starting point is 00:48:43 We don't have a, we don't have like a signature, we don't have like a signature wing spot here, here on the show. But you're wearing a tux or you're not wearing a tux. Or you're not. Or you're not wearing a tux. Right. Right.
Starting point is 00:48:55 One that actually fits you, not like the garbage bag. Audra Gessima is there. And Audrey Gesson is next to you on the ride. Yes. And Alfred Collins is on the other side of you. No, Alfred Collins isn't there because he's still waiting to get drafted. That's true. You walk by and he's in his own green room waiting for the phone to pick up.
Starting point is 00:49:10 This is actually an entertaining roller coaster-ish ride, something like that. Maybe we do this instead of the billboard. We develop a roller coaster. In another way, we could light our money on fire. We could develop a roller coaster. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Matthew gave us a $5 super chat, said long-time addict wanted your thoughts from one pavia to another. Jesus.
Starting point is 00:49:31 on if the Bengals are on the Bengals defense and if playing more of a three-four would suit their roster better. Let's take a look. Obviously having Dexter Lawrence is huge because in order to be able to play a three-four, you have to be able to play. You have to have somebody who can play a nose effective. So they have Dexter Lawrence who can play nose tackle for you. They have John Allen as well. They've got Miles Murphy, Cassius Howe, Shamar Stewart.
Starting point is 00:50:01 Um, B.J. Hill, T.J. Slayton. So you've got options. Like, Lawrence can play the nose. B.J. Hill can play the nose. Actually, T.J. Slaten can play the nose and Dexter Lawrence can play the nose. So you've got a too deep rotation there. John Allen can play a four-eye for you. For sure.
Starting point is 00:50:22 Miles Murphy can play a four-eye for you. I think B.J. Hill can. Jackson McKinley and Chris Jenkins Jr. can definitely play a four-eye for you. Shamar Stewart can play a four-eye for you. And then the outside linebackers, you would have Cassius Howe, Bois Maffei, Isaiah Foskey's on this team, Antoine Powell Riland, and then Shamar Stewart would kind of, I think, go between playing a four-eye and an outside linebacker type for you.
Starting point is 00:50:49 So you could definitely play a three-four if you wanted to. You'll probably see them be multiple. It also depends so much on what kind of step forward does Shamar take this year. Because if there's a world where Shamar really does, does take the positive steps forward and you want your best players on the field in a rush situation, wouldn't you kind of want Shamar playing with his hand in the dirt in that scenario? But Cassius Howl and Boy A Mape being able to rush off the edge as standups. So it's a hard question to answer without knowing what kind of growth we see from Shamar in this year.
Starting point is 00:51:26 I agree. The Shamar picks got to stand out more. Yeah, you need more from him. and then you can kind of vary your fronts a lot. But if he doesn't take the step at all, maybe they keep things a little more simple. But that's why you go pay the 10th overall pick for one of the best middle of the field disruptors
Starting point is 00:51:43 in the NFL when he's right. And that's Dexter Lawrence. Yeah, in a major area where they had to get better defending the run, I think through the middle of the field, whether it was from their defensive line, certainly we know their linebacker struggled as well. It got a little bit better from the safeties. If I remember correctly, towards like the back half of the season
Starting point is 00:51:58 and sort of the last four or five weeks, which you figured was going to be the case. with Golden now as their defense coordinator. So you're hoping that they're able to hit the ground running a little bit more. But it's an interesting thought, Matthew, because I do think that they have the ability to play that there. By the way, CT also gave us another $2 super chat said, need to end the $50 with a go-abs go, boys.
Starting point is 00:52:16 Nice. Who are you rooting for in Stanley Cup finals at this point? It's really tricky. I mean, obviously, as a diehard Rangers fan, it's always tough for me to actually root for a team in the East, as much as I tip my cap to what Buffalo's done after knowing what those people have been through, them and the Jets just trade the longest playoff drought forever
Starting point is 00:52:36 and now Buffalo's broken it. I like watching the Canadians play, though, because they're so young and fast. But I typically don't root for a team in the East being a Rangers fan. But the problem is to our guys, Aves, and the Aves are amazing, but I've seen enough of the Aves dominate.
Starting point is 00:52:54 Where I don't really... They've only won one title. I know, but they're a wagon every year. I know. I know. Only one. Brother, I've been alive for one of my teams in my entire 34 years of existence winning a title. It was the Rangers when I was two and a half years old.
Starting point is 00:53:08 The Knicks haven't done it. The Mets haven't done it. I won't speak on it, but the Knicks are hot right now. I want the Knicks to win it all, man. I mean, I really, really want the Knicks to win it all. Stanley Cup final though right now. It's going to be Hurricanes versus abs. I would be shocked, although the Cairns always choke it.
Starting point is 00:53:29 feels like the canes have to be in this year. Have to be. Yeah. I would love if the wild take this series the distance. Dude, the wild are fun, man. I mean, Caprizov's nuts. He's nuts.
Starting point is 00:53:42 He's so talented. Boldie is really good. I think they're going to get, they just beat the abs five to one. So that series is now 2.1 Colorado. I think that's going to be a long series. So sometimes not always. It can be nice to have no dog in it at all.
Starting point is 00:53:57 Like most of the Rangers, rivals are not left beside Carol, I don't like Carolina, but what are you going to do? Like they've had a joke of the first two rounds. Right. I'm kind of just sitting back and enjoying this one. But it's like Vegas,
Starting point is 00:54:11 like we've had a lot of Vegas in the playoff deep runs over the years where I'm not really rooting for Vegas. No, no. Right now. Yeah, I think, honestly, I think I would be rooting for the abs. I think I've told this before
Starting point is 00:54:26 on this podcast. Like when I was growing up, playing hockey and watching hockey. Obviously, the Lightning were my favorite team, but the aves were also unbelievable, like, during that time. So it was like Patrick Waugh and Joe Sackick and Peter Forrestburg. It was insane. It was all of those teams of the apps.
Starting point is 00:54:42 I love those abs teams so much. On the Detroit Red Wings and Colorado Avalanche rivalry, bloodbath that was the war between those two franchises around the 2000, turning the century, I was on the abs side of things. And so the abs have always sort of like, I've had a soft spot. in my heart for that team since those days
Starting point is 00:55:01 because they were really good when I was growing up. So I think naturally I would root for the abs but I mean if the wild wanted that would be cool. If Buffalo wanted that would be cool. I guess if the Cains wanted
Starting point is 00:55:13 that would be cool. It's just kind of weird like I'm in the area like Raleigh is far away from Charlotte but I'm sort of like in the area so part of me is like should I just root for the team that I'm kind of close to
Starting point is 00:55:26 now that the lightning are out? No. but the lightning are in the east so I just kind of feel as though everybody in the east is the enemy right like you said that's the weird thing in hockey especially with the seating
Starting point is 00:55:37 there seems I like watching play being a big fan of the sport but like you said I can't root for anyone in the east the way how it's set up I just don't find myself able to do that at all right right right so I hope the wild win the Stanley Cup there's my answer you hope the wild
Starting point is 00:55:54 okay I don't think they will but if I had to pick a team that I hope wins the Stanley Cup I'd go with Minnesota. Yeah, here you go. Okay. Robert gave us $5 super chat, said, Hey, squirts, start bench cut. Okay, here we go.
Starting point is 00:56:05 Oh, fired up. 24-hour Jake Gyllenhaal movie marathon, no sleeping. Spend all day shopping in a safe way or rent a tux or rent from Big Tux with a next day of return. All right.
Starting point is 00:56:20 Well, I don't hate Jake Gyllenhaal movies, so I'm going to start watching Jake Gyllenhaal movies. I actually love Jake Jillenhall movies. Yeah. Wait, what's the top three? What's the top three? Top three, Jake Joan, all movies.
Starting point is 00:56:30 Prisoners might be one. I don't want to forget any. Let me just, let me just pull them all up right now. Prisoners. I mean, Prisoners is amazing. Oh, Hugh Jackman's in this? Dude, prisoners, you should watch in the next three days.
Starting point is 00:56:46 It's that good. It's that good. Oh, Paul Dano's in this? I'm telling you it is, it's a classic. Okay. man top three i don't really want to leave any out well there's only three so night i think night crawler all right makes it i have to have i have to have zodiac crawler's the one where he's uh like the film
Starting point is 00:57:17 dude right like he's filming he's like doing like odd jobs and then he becomes somebody that like takes pictures of crime scenes okay yeah yeah i think zodiac is better than night crawler so those are the three, although I feel like there's going to be some takes in here of what I left out. But yeah, Zodiac, another great throwback. He's got a crazy catalog. That's an easy start. Don't even care about not sleeping. I do not like being in stores for a long time, especially grocery stores. Like 23 minutes in, and I'm starting to shake and begging to go home. So I'm cutting being in safe way all day. That is a horrible experience. Letko made a good point to us on our BR draft stream.
Starting point is 00:57:58 The only positive about renting from big tucks is you could just spill all the stuff in the world you want over it. It's true. So, like, if there's any little mini positive of renting the tucks, I guess I'll bench that. All right. I think I'll go with the same order that you had there. Okay. E-Man said, this first mock draft is almost as bad as Safeway sushi. Look, I'm going to get vulnerable here for a second.
Starting point is 00:58:28 I consistently eat. Oh, boy. Publix or Harris Teeter sushi. I don't know if that's it. I don't know if that's a hot take or not. I haven't had it. So I can't hate the game. Okay, but the concept.
Starting point is 00:58:45 Sushi from a grocery store. Yeah, but some grocery stores are really high end. I really high end. If I, if I just smashed a workout and I need some quick carbs, clean protein, and I got to go to the grocery store, you better believe I'm getting two trays. a sushi. And I'm, I'm slamming it within 90 seconds. All 24 pieces are probably consumed. Yeah, I don't, I don't think this is a, I don't think this is a chat, like a red flag or a yellow flag. Okay. Because Publix has a good reputation and some really good grocery stores
Starting point is 00:59:27 do put in the dedication and do it the right way. Okay. Now, if somebody's pointed out in the chat, if you were getting gas station sushi and I love Costco but I agree with my haul Costco sushi I would not try there's too much going on there's too much going on I can't get sushi where I bought a TV I can't do that that's not and then I got and then I got gas as soon as I stepped outside that's the cutoff there's laws of life because everything comes in together so you feel me there's just no way He hit me with it, you feel me? Like, I can't be holding my avocado rolls and then asking the people to carry in the 75-inch TV
Starting point is 01:00:14 and then be like, oh yeah, there's the Kirkland golf balls. Like, let's relax. We're doing too much. I don't know, brother. That just sounds like a Costco trip to me. It does. That just sounds like a Costco trip. We went for the first time in a long time this weekend, and I'm embarrassed to know what we paid on the way out.
Starting point is 01:00:34 I went full dad. I was holding the receipt looking in the cart, checking everything. I was like, how do we do this? How did we do this? Unbelievable. Do we own part of this store now? Yeah, I wondered if I was now renting a section of Costco to live in.
Starting point is 01:00:50 Yeah. By the way, I was dying laughing from our guy. Let me scroll all the way up. It was the last super chat we read about the abs. Oh, here we go. C-T-O-D ghost. Connor really watched me spend $52 and said, go F yourself.
Starting point is 01:01:04 I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I do apologize. I hope for your happiness, the abs should do well. No, don't apologize. Don't apologize. I stood up.
Starting point is 01:01:16 No, no, no, I stood up for CT. I want the abs to win. You said you'd rather have 31 other franchises. Wait, how many other in hockey is there,
Starting point is 01:01:25 30 or 32? I can't remember. With Utah and... No, but with... Please tell me 30. No, didn't it used to be 30. Now it's, yeah, now it's Utah and... The mammoth.
Starting point is 01:01:37 Why did you just break my brain like that? There are 32 with those two now. I told you. I told you. You'd rather all 31 teams just cease to exist than anybody else win a Stanley Cup. And that's why you're a real fan. That's how I know you're a real New York fan. Yeah, I'm just a hater by trade.
Starting point is 01:01:54 It's not about you succeeding. The other people have to suffer or whatever the quote was that Steve Smith would say. It is not enough that I succeed. Others must fail. That is you I'm not gonna lie I'm not gonna lie growing up a sad
Starting point is 01:02:12 pathetic sports fan turns you into the biggest hate watcher of all time where your happiness comes from other failing it's true I don't feel that way about the abs though
Starting point is 01:02:24 when the abs get knocked out I'm not happy I'm just like ah okay don't man the play up the NHL expansion really broke my brain
Starting point is 01:02:34 brain there. Yeah, it did. Because when you play like, NHL your whole life growing up and you think 30 teams, it just becomes baked into your brain. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:43 You got to expand that brain. Yeah. It's weird. Expanded the league. Dalton gave us $10. Said, Summer idea, redo the expansion teams from July of 2022.
Starting point is 01:02:53 Update who would be protected and maybe do dueling teams. 2026 picks plus eight protected for each. Maybe the chef could make some cool. graphics, logos, jerseys, all the kinds of stuff. That was a really, really cool thing that we did. One of my favorites ever on this show. I would love to do it again if we had the time to do it.
Starting point is 01:03:14 I know. You're becoming a father, though, so. Yeah. Who knows? Who knows what the schedule is going to be like? I really don't know. All I know is we will not only be doing summer scouting, but we will finish it this summer because we were disappointed.
Starting point is 01:03:29 We missed some groups last year. Yeah. After that, we can't make any promises of what this summer will look like. but I would love to do it again. Here's the thing. I don't even mind doing it in the fall. Just because summer ends doesn't mean right. Well, we can't have fun anymore.
Starting point is 01:03:45 All right. What? Not how to party? Summer ends and there's no more partying? Oh, I'm sorry. Oh, I didn't know partying seasonal. Oh. Dalton said, P.S. added a rule.
Starting point is 01:03:59 Each draft 32, one from each team. only one from each side of the ball. If Trevor takes an offensive player from Dallas, Connor has to take a defensive player of Dallas. Okay, so yeah, that's definitely how you make like a real game out of it. I love the idea, Dalton. Okay. And I hope if not over summer,
Starting point is 01:04:18 but there's a chance that we do it this year. Yeah. Richard said Andre Johnson to Corlin Finnegan, I'm assuming from the quote of needing to watch others fail as well as you succeed. One of the all-time NFL brawls. Draft Donkey gave us $15. So can we get a left co-sims and stick to football throwback episode with the old crew? Would be amazing to see or would be amazing.
Starting point is 01:04:44 And these young whippersnappers don't realize what they've missed out on. Would mud would love more non-analyst cameos. It would be a lot of fun. The best time to do it because we just, Trevor and I just don't do guess shows. It would be the charity mock stream. Yeah. So next year. It's an easy way to do it.
Starting point is 01:05:04 Something like that. Yeah. So definitely possible. Nicole gave us $10. Said, I love the summer versions of Connor and Trevor, aka off the rails. Also, Connor,
Starting point is 01:05:13 hypothetically, have the custom NFLSE onesie ready for baby Rogers. There we go. I love that. The regular Rogers. In his little outfit. If I win the bed,
Starting point is 01:05:23 I get to name the kid. Brokey gave it $5. It said, current defensive student assistant for Western Michigan. Hell yeah. Would love to hear. you guys' full eval on Nadame Tucker.
Starting point is 01:05:36 Oh, I'm not going to lie. I have officially closed out, but we'll reopen the 2006 Megadoc. Yep, yep, yep, yep, all right, all right. I'll do the same. Make sure that we give this Super Chat the full context. It always feels oddly good.
Starting point is 01:05:52 Like having just the 20207 version now open. Oh, yeah, I've had it open for the last like four days. I've been honing in on that. Here are some of the notes, and I won't do the whole thing. but for me I wrote down pass rush production in 2025 was just excellent I mean this was someone he was a 60 year senior 6 2247 short arms not overly explosive
Starting point is 01:06:15 or athletic but athletic enough Western Michigan well traveled I mean Independence CC Hutchinson Community College Houston um he had a 27.5% pass rush win rate 63 total pressure so he got after the quarterback this year I thought he won in a variety of ways agility power swipes, had an inside move.
Starting point is 01:06:35 He was an older prospect. He's going to turn 26 before his first training camp, but he did not play football until a senior year high school. You know, he's just a little undersized with average testing, and it's always tough for those guys. You always try to have, you either really big and they can overcome athletic limitations or you're undersized and have just such great athleticism.
Starting point is 01:06:53 You overcome size limitations. So I wrote down he was a situational stand-up pressure that challenge tackles in a lot of different ways. Yeah, I mean, I see him the same. And I think that we talked about this on the edge. Rusher episode. He reminded me a lot of Kymann Rucker, where Rucker was at UNC, very much just that like situational type of Russia player, although I do feel as though, Rucker played a little bit more physical at all times. And Tucker was really, he was just trying to get into the backfield
Starting point is 01:07:15 clean. And I don't say that like that doesn't matter. That definitely matters. Really good quickness to get across the face of offensive linemen that align him in a lot of times those like wide nine spots where he really have the chance to attack either shoulder and having that flexibility was good. it allowed him to have a high pressure rate, good first step off the ball. Just like you said, below average build and I think average testing, right? Or was it below average testing for? It wasn't great, yeah. And it's one of those things where it's just you understand him getting drafted a little bit later
Starting point is 01:07:44 just because even though there's a lot of success there, you have to look at the success and say, is this translatable to the NFL level? So I didn't think that he was going to go super high, even with a lot of really good stats. But we'll see. We'll see how he is deployed sort of as that situational pass rush there. What's the next one? Oh, Axelron, $2, said,
Starting point is 01:08:03 what is your ideal NFL video game look like? NFL 2K5 is the blueprint. Oh, damn. It's the blueprint to me. And I know we do hang on to nostalgia a little too much, because if you went back and just played that now, you'd be like, oh, okay, like maybe we're... But I don't know, man.
Starting point is 01:08:22 I'm really into EACFB. I play a full year round with friends that don't... Friends that I stay in touch with that don't live in New York anymore. So it's a really cool thing we have together. We have a group text. Our pacing's okay. We advance. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:08:37 We try to get games in like once a week, sometimes once every 10 days. Everybody's got stuff going on. But I just, I've tried multiple times over the last eight years. I can't get back into Madden. I can't. Yeah, I've bought Madden the last couple of years. And there, I think that this last Madden, they're going in the right direction. Okay. That's good to hear.
Starting point is 01:08:57 Real change. is I felt like two fantasy draft and sorry to franchise mode and I really want them to keep going with that because I did enjoy it. I just don't have any friends who still play it, which maybe I can lean on to the addicts for that because I know a lot of you guys played Madden and college football and we would love to like set up some sort of a league. I would be really fun. I have I have I have always dreamt of.
Starting point is 01:09:23 I think you know friends in life, the full 32 to be able to do a 32 team. like Madden League and like do a fantasy draft for it I think I think that I think that shit would rule and like I think what we would what you would do is you don't log you don't necessarily have to like log on and do it all at the same time like you could have a Google sheet essentially and like for a certain amount of time you're basically going through all 52 picks and you're you're you're making the picks there but I think that that would be a ton of fun and so that's something that I would love to try to set up at the discord this year because I wonder if we can get 32 people to do it dude let's do it.
Starting point is 01:09:59 the full fantasy draft in all 32. Yeah. Yeah, let's do it. I would really like to make that a priority. I would really like to make that a priority this year. That would get me back on that. And even if I don't fall back in love with the actual gameplay, the team building aspect to me would be enough.
Starting point is 01:10:14 Yes, I agree. I agree. Richard gave us $2 super chat said, how do I change my name on here? I'm 34 and I have no clue. I don't think you can, actually. You're just Richard Bikini, 32 until the end, brother. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:28 Or you got to delete your name and come up with a new account. I think it's probably the only way to do that. Yeah, CT. Yeah, Conner really watched. We spent $52 and said, go F myself. Robert said, love you guys so much. Favorite hockey fight? For me, for me personally, the Rangers Devils line brawl,
Starting point is 01:10:49 not the most recent one. That was a 5V5. They had a 3V3. Mike Rupp was in it. Brandon Prust was in it. That was, and then the coaches started screaming at each other. That's my all-timer as a Rangers fan because just seeing, I mean, a 3V3, the electricity. If you haven't seen it, even if you're not a hockey fan after this pod, which is very soon, go on YouTube and search Rangers' Rangers Devils line brawl.
Starting point is 01:11:17 It's not the most recent one. It's the one from like 2000. What about you, Trevor? Do you have one that comes to mind? Well, Vasilesky fought Jeremy Swayman at the winner classic. this year which is sick. But honestly, like, I love the, I know these are two recent ones, but like, I love the team USA and Canada one.
Starting point is 01:11:34 It was awesome. Where it was just like, all right, puck drops. All right, the Cucucucs brothers are getting after it. You know, and it's just, and like, Hagle was involved in it and everything. And that was cool because it's like, it's a different element of, there's obviously a ton of pride in playing for your team and wanting to win a championship. But, like, it's a different sense of pride when you're playing for your country. And I just think the vibes were just very different for that.
Starting point is 01:11:55 And especially in hockey, when you're fighting, and the jersey that you're wearing is of your country, not even your team. Like it's just, it's something that's, I feel like comes with a unique sense of pride. So I love that. I love that part of the winter classic.
Starting point is 01:12:08 Last one's from Rich said summer stock. Wait, summer stock exchange sushi at Safeway show. Nah, can't do it. Can't do it. No. Can't do the sushi at Safeway.
Starting point is 01:12:23 They're going to have to, they're going to have to pony up the bag. True. We're up to sell. They want to sell out. If they want a live show with sushi. I've always loved Safeway. I'm wearing like the hat and like the deli counter apron with the logo.
Starting point is 01:12:40 Oh, wait, hold on. We have another one from Alice DuBall. I miss this one. Oh, we have three more, says the chef. Okay. Alice Dubal said, what's up, chicklets? Wanted to know if you guys would consider either as a blue chip committee or on here going into some film and laying out how you guys evaluate different positions sometime.
Starting point is 01:12:57 hashtag Duvall. So Atlas Duval, YouTube can sometimes get tricky with that stuff with show and film and that kinds of stuff. So we've always been very cautious of that, especially when I was with PFF, not allowed at all. PFF has an agreement with the NFL that goes into them getting game film and being able to use it on Ultimate and all that kinds of stuff.
Starting point is 01:13:24 And it was absolutely not allowed when I got hired at, PFF, they told me like, you can't tweet out clips anymore. You can't do this on YouTube. We're not allowed to do that. I'm not with PFF anymore, but the film stuff is still tricky. We would love to do stuff like that. We're not sure if we can, essentially. So it's something that we're always looking into. We would love to do it, but it's just, it's tricky on YouTube. It is. And I see some people in the chat bringing up some alternate platforms. we could do it. All I'll say at this time is don't ever rule those out.
Starting point is 01:14:02 Yep. Yep. More to come. This show and brand is only getting bigger and opening up different ways for us to do more content. All right. What's the next one? Here we go. Oh, this from Sully.
Starting point is 01:14:13 This wouldn't send last show, but thanks for providing a pick-me-up for a tiger's fan going through the scuba injury. Love y'all. Keep up the great work. Well, we appreciate it, Sally. I feel your pain, brother. Sorry about the scoble stuff. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:27 Didn't the Mets, I'm not a big baseball guy, but like, didn't the Mets have like some sick like pitching rotation and like all of a sudden it was like overnight, it was gone? Well, that's usually how it goes. Back in after they made the World Series about 10 years ago, it looked like they had a four-man rotation that was going to be there for eight years. And it was gone in the blink of an eye. So yeah, you're on something. That stinks.
Starting point is 01:14:52 All right. That goes. Everyone's arms are falling off in baseball. Oh, Nimo Sports. for using my idea. I will be suing for 50% royalties. Better to lawyer up, Buckaroos. Jokes aside, love how you listen to the community and keep it up. Well, appreciate the idea. And yeah, if you want to send your lawyers after us, the email is YouTube at google.com. And that's the email that you could go after their 50%. And you could take 50% from YouTube.
Starting point is 01:15:21 Of course, we're going to keep our own 50% for making the content. So there you go. There you go. is that the end? I think that's the end. Or did we... Oh, did we get... Oh, hold on. We got a... By the way, Rich said, I found out how to change it.
Starting point is 01:15:39 So we changed it. Nice, Rich. Nicely done. Welcome in. Rich McKay, 28. There it is. There it is. Much more concise.
Starting point is 01:15:50 All right, really quick, because we got a couple other ones. Phoenix, are people underrating the Niners defensive line? And last year they added Mikel West and Collins to stuff to run. This year it's Osa, Halden, and Hight to the pass rush. The defensive line should be a lot better. And I think what you're really, really hoping is that the floor of the defensive line is a lot higher.
Starting point is 01:16:07 Because the floor was way too low last year. But those guys that you mentioned were rookies. So you're hoping that, hey, another year in the system, you get those guys there. You were at least a lot better at defending the run. And then hopefully you can allocate more assets to rush in the passer. You'll get Bosa back. You've got Osa, like you mentioned. Grayson Holden's in the mix.
Starting point is 01:16:26 Romello Hyde, I think, is a good ad for that certain spot. So they should absolutely be a lot better than they were this past season. Micah said, you should do a mock draft with prospects from the last three to four draft classes. We do have some ideas to potentially do. Stuff like that. And then the last one, Trinidadie, $5 said, Connor at a random bar after the next sweep. Excuse me, bartender.
Starting point is 01:16:51 I'll have a martini, uncrusted, not stirred. There's rumors out there. There's photos out there. I won't confirm her deny. that you enjoyed the old-fashioned but garnished with an uncrustable the across-garnish is insane insane you're just mad you didn't think about it I don't know how this happened to me during the season which is very busy I would by desperation
Starting point is 01:17:20 have to have an uncrossable during our ad break or else I would starve and now my family name has been tarnished across the internet. It's not tarnished. It's not tarnished. You're just the first person people think about when they see or hear uncrustibles. The uncrustini. The uncrustini. Man, I got to find a way to turn this into a product.
Starting point is 01:17:46 Oh, man. Oh, we got it. We've got to get uncrustable on the line. We've got to get them involved in the show. What are they doing? It's too easy. What are they doing? You gotta find out how to make money off this.
Starting point is 01:17:57 I mean, come on. Have I just been wasting all my time and energy? Appreciate everybody watching the show. We love you guys. We'd love for you to subscribe if you guys are not subscribed right now. We have over 73,000 subscribers here on the show. March into 75K and then we would love to by the end of summer scouting be as close to 100,000 as possible because we're on the journey in the campaign to get the plaque,
Starting point is 01:18:19 baby. Because when you get to 100,000 subscribers, YouTube sends you an official. plaque. So that's the next goal. That's the next journey. We appreciate all 73,000 of you guys that have subscribed already. Like we've said, if you guys aren't in the Discord right now, we've got over 5,000 people in the Discord. We're doing a lot of cool stuff there. We've done a lot of really cool stuff over
Starting point is 01:18:37 the last year. The Addicts honestly have been the ones doing all that cool stuff. We're going to do even more. We're going to run I think a lot of the shows that we're going to run. We're going to try to incorporate Discord in the adage is a lot more, especially through the summer, and then in the season as well. Talk about, you know, like setting up bad in the leagues, college football leagues, all the great stuff. I think that's it.
Starting point is 01:18:56 I think that's it for us this week. I think that's it. I'm Ron Burgundy. I'm Ron Burgundy. We'll be back on Monday. We're not starting summer scouting yet. We're a couple of years or a couple of years. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:19:07 We're a couple. You guys blew it. We're not bringing it back. It didn't get enough for you's last year. No, I'm kidding. We'll be bringing back summer scouting. And of course, we'll be starting with quarterbacks in a couple of weeks, but we'll have a couple more Monday episodes of
Starting point is 01:19:23 the show to do stuff like this. And feel free to fire away with all your suggestions that you would want to see for topics of the show.
