Welcome to the opening bell in the NFL Stock Exchange podcast.
Trevor Sikkimakana Rogers here with you guys on a Monday, but a different
looking Monday.
Normally we're doing a little bit of what matters most here on this very day, but
this is the first episode where we're switching it up.
Power rankings, baby.
We're feeding into the SEO machine.
Please click the link.
Families are starving.
But we are.
We're talking about power rankings here on the show.
We figured that that would be a more fun way
to sort of just look at the league
and give you guys a feel of what we think is going on in the NFL.
So instead of doing what matters most from every game,
we're naturally going to do a lot of talking points
where we're going to hit on every single game that happened in week three in the NFL,
but we're going to do so in a power ranking buy or sell way.
So the way that this podcast and this episode is going to work
is Connor and I are going to give you our 32 through one every single week.
And every single week, we're going to take a look at what their current odds are when it comes to an over, under, win total at the end of the season.
And we're ultimately going to tell you whether they are a buy, sell, or hold, given what happened this past week and how we feel about them moving forward.
Connor, I'm excited about this new format, my friend.
How you doing, man?
I'm good.
I am too.
I think that, you know, you and I like to kind of mess with different formats and try to feed the audience best we can.
We know what we're always going to do.
We're always going to do summer scouting.
We're always going to do stock up.
We're always going to do mock drafts.
But I think the code you and I have been trying to crack is, at least in the fall,
is how do we talk about the NFL while staying true to our brand,
but also still talking about the NFL because that's what we love to do.
You don't want to just graduate the players into the draft and be like,
so you never.
Like, that's just not fun for anyone.
So what matters most is a lot of fun and you still serve that purpose here.
But I noticed a lot of the comments sometimes would be like,
hey you talked about
you know
Cardinals Panthers
but I didn't hear you say
anything about the Panthers
and hopefully this is a way
where you at least see them
in a ranking here
and if there is some kind of movement
with them that we do get to talk about them
so we're gonna see how I'm excited for this
it was fun making rankings
I haven't made power rankings
in a really really long time
and as always we can give
rookie perspectives long term perspectives
whatever it may be
but I am really pumped for this
yeah no I'm excited about this format as well
and obviously guys this isn't a
three-hour episode, even though we know that you guys out there would love for us to make three-hour
episodes. We just don't have the time on Mondays to do it. So we're not going to indeptly hit on
every single team, but I promise you, what I will do is I will make sure that I keep a note of the
teams that we talk about each week. And if we haven't hit on a team in two weeks or something,
I will make sure that at least one of us is highlighting them for the upcoming week to hit on them
into power ranking. Even if we think that they have been a hold and we don't really think
that there's anything different, we still talk about the expectations that we have for those
teams, some of the rookies and how those guys are playing. So we think this is a fun format. Not only
is this a power ranking who we think is the best team in the NFL type of a feel, but also
we are adding that buy sell hold element to it. So again, like I said at the top, we're going to be
doing that versus their current over under win total. We'll take a look at their
current win loss record. We'll take a look at what their preseason over under win loss
total was. And we'll just have a good conversation about where these teams are. Speaking of
some of those rookies and like, oh, we're never going to worry about them again. I don't know
if you notice this, but the official RB3, Cam Scadaboo with over 120 yards from scrimmage this
past Sunday night against the Chiefs. I'm counting that as a scouting win, my friend. Camp
Scataboo is a scouting win? Sighton. I am never checking this ever again. Doesn't matter what
he does throughout the rest of his career.
It's what scouting's all about.
Dub.
Dub.
Cam Scataboo,
officially better than Ashton Genty.
I didn't go that far.
Wait, wait, wait.
It was a great career.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
You got to, you got to remember how a scout's brain works.
That's right.
For Cam Scataboo, oh, don't need to see anymore.
Validated.
It was totally right.
For Ashley Genty.
Too early.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's too early.
We need more time.
Bad environment.
Bad run blocking.
He's not playing enough passing downs.
Oh, boy.
I mean, these are all true things.
All right, you want to jump into it?
Let's jump into it.
I said we do.
Here it is.
Here it is.
Power rankings, baby.
We're going to go in increments of eight.
Because math.
Yeah, let's take us away here and start with the basement.
And I think it, the nice thing is with the content structure of our show,
obviously this gives us a chance to highlight the middle of the pack and the high-end teams.
But our calendar, usually about October, we see.
start fixed your franchise so if you're sitting listen to the show and be like i want to hear more
about my crappy team well there's a higher chance that you're going to get an entire episode
dedicated to your crappy team so it all it's all about balance like we want to serve as many
fan bases as we can because once again this is a community not just a show yeah running the ball
type of podcast topics that we have here we got to stay balanced all right we'll go in increments of
eight you give me your 32 through 25 um sort of like we do with with prospect rankings like
You can give me a few notes on a couple of them.
You can mention whether it's a hold for you.
I would like for you to mention as you go through these.
Just say what the current over under total is.
Say if it's a seller or a hold.
And then if it is a seller or hold, give us maybe a sentence.
And then we'll kind of dive into the ones that you want to talk about a little bit deeper.
So I have the Titans at 32.
Yeah.
And yes, they picked number one in the draft.
Their over under hasn't changed.
It's still five and a half, even though they're 0.
and three, which means they've kind of lost three games that they were expected to lose.
I think it's been the at-large script of the games that's disappointing right now.
I have them as a hold because expectations were so low, but I do want to get back to the Titans
after I read all these teams because I do have a take.
I have the Titans as a highlighted team, so we'll take a little bit.
And then we'll have the combo.
That's a good job of me not reading the full rundown.
You would never know that I'm a television host.
There's not one sign that you would think I host TV.
Anything you put on that prompter, Rogers will not read.
That is you.
You're the anti-anchorman.
Somebody asked me, it might have been my mother-in-law this weekend.
Somebody asked me, they're like, do you use a prompter?
And I was like, pretty much never.
No.
Almost never.
It's kind of a change in TV structure.
Like most people went to, you know, television school, and they learned to read off a
prompter. You're absolutely right, Trevor. You can give me prompter. There's about a 98% chance.
I'd be like, yeah, let's go off script. 31, New Orleans Saints. This, man, like, you know the
saying, like, it can always get worse. The Saints win total before the year was five and a half.
It's now four and a half. They're 0.3. They are a sell. Oh, so you're thinking they're less than
four and a half even. You're selling it. Yeah, I don't, I don't, well, I don't think this team gets to
five wins. Yes. Yeah.
Okay. Yeah. I don't even think Rattler's been an abomination like a lot of people thought he would be. I just think this team, number one, the line's been worse than I expected. This is a team that just consistently refuses to blow it up and it's almost like someone's in their face screaming at them to blow it up. That someone is me right now. Just trade useful pieces you have to get picks of the deadline if possible. I'm selling on the sink.
The fixture franchise episode will be interesting when we get to the off-season exercise or honestly, like, even the mid-season exercise, who do you trade off on this roster?
Because they got a couple of young guys that are nice that you go, okay, well, hold on, we don't want to get carried away.
Like, we don't want to, like, I don't, Chris Olava is the one who comes to mine, right?
Like, do you trade Olave because of the injury history that he has, what you could possibly get for him?
But, like, Olave is the stud for it.
Chris Lave is a good player.
You know, he's your best offensive player.
but is our but it's decision like garrott wilson just got paid from that draft class so it's
almost it's kind of almost decision time yeah which is tough to do with his history this i think
the saints will be a very early fixture franchise as you said because their trade deadline is so
fascinating and i would rather we get to like give our opinion of what we would do at the trade
deadline rather than waiting for it to happen right right we'll see what they do yeah but
yeah the saints were a surprise sell for me
The Giants are at 30 for me, five and a half win total, a hold.
It's gone almost exactly how you could expect.
Should have won the Dallas game, but they didn't,
which brings me to 29, which is the Jets.
Like, the Jets absolutely should have won week one.
Every number tells you that they were the better team and they gave it away.
They got blown out in embarrassing fashion week two.
They played three really bad quarters against 60% of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
and then probably should have won in the fourth quarter.
But it just doesn't, like you're 0 and three.
Like you don't have a win.
Yeah.
So the Jets are 29 for me.
I will talk about the Jets a little bit at length when we revisit this again.
28, the Miami Dolphins, this is one where this is some of the most movement we've seen.
Seven and a half was their preseason win total.
It's now five and a half.
I'm selling just because, now I think the Dolphins can win.
six or seven games still, but I'm selling
just because I don't think Mike McDaniel makes it through the
season. Yeah. Yep.
So that's, yeah, the dolphins are
28. 27th the Panthers,
the odd team
that their win total was six and a half,
it's gone down to five and a half, but they
just upset the Falcons who they were five
and a half point underdogs against.
So Vegas has no
effing clue what to do
with the Carolina Panthers. Vegas thinks they stink.
They think they're Falcons merchants,
which they are.
They do typically beat the Falcons.
What was, I saw a tweet that, like, Bryce's win-loss record is terrible.
He's three-and-one against the Falcons, right?
But he's three-and-one against the Falcons, yeah.
Yeah, so this is a hold for me.
Okay.
The Vegas is saying the Panthers are bad.
I kind of agree, but good job getting the win.
We're like, very good, good, very important for Dave Canales.
26, the Cleveland Browns, who were four and a half before the season,
four and a half now, even though they just beat a team that people,
think is the best team in the NFL.
I actually, I wrote holds, but I want to say I'm slightly buying.
And my talking point is Mason Graham was awesome in this game.
He was good.
That defensive line, they're monsters.
I mean, Miles Garrett is a one-man show at times, but it's good to see him get some help.
I thought the line played very well.
I'll buy, because I think the Browns win more than four and a half games.
I have them highlighted, so we'll talk about.
them later too yeah okay and then my last one in this block is the new england patriots which this one
they're over under is still eight and a half which is what it was from the summer i put a hold here
but i'm i don't think the patriots are winning nine or ten games i don't think they've looked good
unless christian gonzalez comes back and magically fixes everything on their defense i think
their law offensive line is still bad um i think drake may is has been better lately but this team
I think people just really kind of jumped ahead here with them.
They won four games last year,
and them winning eight is fine this year,
but I don't think they're the double-digit-win team
like a lot of people projected them to be.
Yeah, I just a hold.
I think they are what Vegas is telling you they are,
even though I felt like this was honestly the public's favorite over on the wins,
and it always surprised me.
I think, yeah, dude, people love the Patriots to win 9, 10, 11 games this year.
Loved it.
I think they are more of a,
like a coin flip of eight wins kind of team i'm i'm with you i think that it's a coin flip of
winning seven eight games i wouldn't i would not take the over on this so i get i'm a hold but i'm
like if i have to pick a side i'm more on the sell side so my 32 to 25 here tennessee titans
are also 32 for me um like you said they are o and three their current over under is five and a half
I'm selling this team.
And the reason why I am, I'll just dig into it if you wanted to revisit this as well.
You could jump in after.
They are the most penalized team in the league through three weeks.
They are near the bottom of the NFL in drops.
They had a horrendous end of the second half sequence where they didn't really know what they were doing.
They were sort of in field goal range, but not really.
Kind of like settled for a 57-yard field goal.
Got a delay of game penalty coming out.
of a timeout, which turned it into a 62-yard field goal.
They missed it, and then they gave the Colts an opportunity to get into field-goal range,
and the Colts kicked the field goal, and so they got three points out of it,
all within 42 seconds of gameplay.
It was just a disaster class.
I don't think that Brian Callahan's going to get fired.
I don't think he should survive this season.
You don't?
No, I can survive the season.
Let me reframe this.
I don't think he should be coaching this team next season.
So I thought that was.
crazy before I looked
all this stuff up. Oh, they've been
they tried out of embarrassing
products. They've been bad, but the
Titans roster is the worst in the NFL
in my opinion.
Like, easily,
I'd take the Saints roster over
the Titans roster. Because the Saints still
try to win. Let's not forget they spent money
in the offseason. The Titans roster
stinks. They've got veterans
that they are paying on that
team who are not good.
Yes. I think that's
I think that is the worst.
And it's hard for me to hold Brian Callahan accountable for that with a horrendous roster
given the fact that he was hired for Cam Wart.
The whole reason why you hire Brian Callahan when you did is for that franchise quarterback
to get drafted and for him to be able to teach them because he was the offensive.
I thought it was for Will Levis and that was a disaster.
Well, I thought Will Levis was sort of a, I thought Will Levis was sort of like a
like a, almost like a risk-free bet.
Yes, he wasn't going to get fired based on Will Levis's failures,
but I don't know if, yeah, I guess he's hired, he's kept on,
he wasn't a one and done, he's kept on for Cam Ward's development.
This team is just, they're undisciplined.
They're so undisciplined.
That's the problem, is that I would have never,
I would have not have agreed with you that he was going to be done after this year,
but if you are the most penalized team in the NFL,
if this keeps up and you have all of these mental errors,
ownership might go,
oh, okay, you're not ruining Cam Ward.
We're going to get you out of here.
Like the Bears did.
Right.
After one year with Caleb and Iber Fluse.
Exactly.
And Iber Flues is bad choices on offensive staff.
So, anyways,
so they're a 32 for me.
I think the Jets are 31.
I was surprised when I saw this
and that's, I think everybody knows
I'm the furthest thing from a homer
like if anything I am brutally honest
about the Jets doing their postgame show.
Yeah.
I'm very curious to hear you having them
as the second worst team in the NFL.
So I just have them as a hold to be honest with you
and I just don't,
I just feel as though like
giving away the game the way that they did
against the Steelers and then the Buccaneers
not looking close at all whatsoever
with Buffalo a week two.
like, I just don't think that this team has the DNA of knowing how to win.
Now, I still have them as a hold and they're over under is five and a half.
So it's more of, you want to see what they do, and let's be real.
They have a Monday night game against Miami.
Yes.
They have the Cowboys at home who might be without C.D. Lamb, the Broncos who are just flat out better than them.
I'm not going to sugarcoat any of that.
The Pant, they're a home against the Panthers.
They are at the Jake Browning rendition of the Bengals
and then home against the Browns.
I would say five of those six games,
you in theory, should be playing to the end to win.
I agree with you.
If you weren't in the Broncos game,
I'd be like, yeah, Denver's a much better product than you.
The other five games, if the Jets are not competitive in all five of those,
like it's, yeah, then the Jets are in big trouble.
Yeah, yeah.
I guess I'm more towards the, I don't, like, I think the Jets could genuinely be in like number one
pick territory.
That's, I think the Jets have eight really, really good players.
And I think the rest of the roster is like, not good.
Yeah, I think that is absolutely a fair take.
So I just, I don't believe, I don't really believe in the DNA of the team.
Even with them, even with, I feel like they should have beat the Steelers in, in week one.
and they could have beat the bucks.
I think that it's crazy that they were there at the end of the game.
I think that's more of a Tampa thing.
But hey, kudos to them for getting the block field goal
and obviously turning the momentum as quickly as they did.
The Todd Bowles, shell, like prevent shell?
Oh, I've lived a lifetime of it.
Hey, we're up two scores.
Let's just let the offense do whatever the fuck they want.
Did you see, we'll get the cussing out of the way here of the podcast.
Did you see what he said?
I believe this is a real quote.
No, I watched the video of it.
Where they asked him?
I think it's the funniest moment I've ever seen from Todd.
Where they asked him, what was going through your mind when they blocked the kick and returned it?
And he said, you've got to be fucking shicking me.
He says that to a reporter.
It was at the presser.
I love the caveat that he was like, just pardon my language.
And then he said it.
Todd is a very, very nice, level-headed man.
He is.
and that was that was very out of character it was hilarious i really enjoyed it uh the saints i have at
number 30 they're a hold for me uh like you mentioned vegas has bumped their um win total down
from five and a half to four and a half yeah Vegas thinks they're the worst team in football
they do yes and i don't clearly but i think obviously they're close i don't either obviously
i thought the titans are but yeah dolphins i have at 29 uh they went from seven and a half
to five and a half like you mentioned they're o and three they're a cell for me they're they're
a massive sell, and it's because, like, I just, I don't believe in the vibes of this team.
The offensive lines, the offensive lines, one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL.
I don't know if you noticed this, but they, uh, Keon Smith and Big Jonah are ranked 67th, no, 66th and 67th,
in the NFL in terms of guards through three weeks out of 67 guards.
Oh, no.
They are the two lowest graded guards in the NFL through three weeks.
The offensive line is terrible.
Two is not making up for it.
They can't get the ball to their playmakers.
And you know what the worst part about it is, Connor?
Their defensive line is getting beat like a drum.
Which isn't, shouldn't be the case.
No.
That's why I'm saying.
That's the worst part.
That's the most talented part of their team.
They're right there finally healthy.
They have Jalen Phillips.
They have Bradley Chubb.
They have Chop Robinson.
They have Kenneth Seller.
They have Jordan Phillips.
They have Zach Seiler.
They got dog walked by the Buffalo Bills.
I feel like Kenneth Grant's been terrible.
I haven't seen his games.
I haven't watched any all 22.
Or definitely not good.
I'm so anyways.
Savinae. Big Jonah has like watching their games.
Yeah, you can make an argument he's been the worst guard in football.
It's tough.
He's lost in past pro.
Giants I have at 28.
They're a hold for me at five and a half wins.
It really doesn't matter until Jackson Dargets in the game.
Carolina Panthers, I have at 27, five and five, or sorry, five and a half is where they're at.
They're a hold for me.
I don't know what to think of the Panthers.
I think they're in for a really tough year, even with the win over the Falcons, which I'll talk a little bit more about the Falcons in a bit.
Raiders, I have at 26.
I think they're a sell team only because I think they're a sell team because the, which is, wow, they went up.
I didn't realize this.
Yeah.
So they went from six and a half as their over under wind total before the season.
Now it's at seven and a half.
They are one and two on the year.
I think there's way too much Pete Carroll baked into that because their defense is still
really bad and their offensive line is much worse than it was last season.
So that's why I'm a seller there on the Raiders.
And then 25, another team that I'm selling down two whole wins on the over under total to start
the season.
Houston Texans were at nine and a half.
Now they're seven and a half.
This Houston, Texas team is tough.
This offense is not good.
Nick Cayley's still trying to figure it out as an offensive play caller for them.
C.J. Stroud looks unconfident and, you know, second-guessing himself.
They are 0-and-3 on the season.
They have no run game.
Their offensive line is bad.
This team cannot score points right now outside of Nico Collins.
So I think they're a sell team to me.
Yeah, I mean, you're not going to get a harsh disagreement from me.
I have them a little higher than you, but, man, the Texas.
the thing that's so
you know infuriating with them
is that the offensive line looked horrendous
on paper going into the season
and then you kind of watch it crumple
a lot of their offense right out of the gate
where at CJ's
making bad plays on his own
which is disappointing if you want to just be like
hey it was a sophomore slump and like you said
Nick Cayley does not look like the upgrade
yet that they were hoping for. He is
second guessing himself. He really is
yeah. All right before we get into
our next eight this PFF betting segment

on the road against the Arizona Cardinals.
Sure looks good to me.
We're going to get to that later in our power rankings.
Is it a trap line?
like what's going on here? I do not know, man. I do not know. But that is a very interesting line, one that I am a fan of the Seahawks on. I would just say that. You can see that line and every other line over on the Draft King Sportsbook. Obviously, as we're talking about it here on the show, the lines are subject to change because we got until Thursday until the game gets kicked off. But the NFL season's rolling, folks. What is it 24 through 17? That's math, right?
There it is.
There it is. There it is, folks. Who you got?
Raiders at 24.
Okay, so you're close.
You're close to the Raiders with me.
Yeah, it just feels like they just can't get it right in the secondary right now.
And you're right.
The offensive line has taken a step back, which is disappointing.
I thought this team would really run the ball well with Ashton Genti.
Well, that was the whole thing of like, hey, do you draft Membu?
When we had the draft Membu, right?
When we had the draft Membu.
Who I thought they were going to take, by the way.
You thought they were going to take Gentie on the last mock draft we did.
like, man, I think they're going to just take Membue, and I was wrong.
Maybe they should have.
And maybe they should have.
It's a little early for that, but whatever.
It's, yeah, the Raiders right now, like you said, there's clearly Pete Carroll baked into this
because their win total went up.
The Bears, I have at 23.
Okay.
Their win total has gone down from eight and a half to six and a half.
This is, like, famous last words.
I'm buying right now.
I am with, I don't know.
I do not know.
why we're now listen to this their next six are raiders commanders saints ravens bengals
giants why why can't you try to at least go 500 or four and two in that search i'll tell you why
the thing i'm most confident in right now trevor i think caleb williams and roma dunes
they look phenomenal they do indeed i'm with you that's like if you you got to hang like your hat
on something with the young quarterback and i go out there every like i look at that team every sunday
or whatever night they play.
And I'm like, I think Caleb and Romadunze
are going to get, like, going to get something done.
So, dude, I'm with you.
I'm buying this team.
They're winning more than six and a half games.
Absolutely that.
Now, I predicted that they were going to make the playoffs,
so I was a little more bullish on them anyways.
Okay.
The offense started out slow.
The defense started out horrendous.
So I can understand why Vegas wasn't happy about it.
But they played really well against the Cowboys this past week.
Their coverage played a lot better.
And I'll tell you what, man.
would impress me most from that Cowboys Bears game.
I talked about this on the PFF NFL show.
It was the immaculate drive in the third quarter, okay?
Third quarter, 1009 left in the third quarter, okay?
So the second half kind of just started.
The Cowboys got the ball.
They didn't really do anything with it.
Chicago's up 24 to 14.
They proceed to go on a 19 play, 76-yard, 9-minute, 54-second drive
that ended in a touchdown,
converted on four third downs, one-fourth down,
which was the DJ Moore touchdown there at the very end.
Caleb Williams had a 74.3 offensive grade on that drive.
That is what you need to see.
Good teams are capable of those drives against bad defenses.
Right.
The Bears, for as talented as they've been,
have not been capable of coaching and executing a drive like that
over the last couple of years, specifically with Caleb Williams.
Now, not only are they capable,
of it, we saw it. Granted,
Cowboys defense is bad.
I get it. But to see that
from the Chicago Bears
is enough for me to know that it's
in there. I am buying
Chicago over six
and a half wins. Eight and a half
yeah, okay, like that would have been a
that was a little overzealous. That would have been a
hold for me. Like if it's eight and a half right now, obviously
they're sitting here at one and two. They should be two in one, but they're
sitting here at one and two. But that schedule that you
just mentioned, brother, they could have, they could have
six wins at the end of that schedule.
five wins six wins they're two away
this team's winning more than six and a half games
I'm buying the Chicago Bears
yep I'm with you all the way
all right my next team
uh is the Houston Texans
all right which I have at 22
they have gone down from nine and a half to seven and a half
like you said they are 0 and three
at seven and a half I'm actually holding
okay I think that I believe in the defense
with Damico and you just hope
that a new offensive system it gets a little better
I don't know if they have the personnel outside of Nico Collins for it to get that much better.
But I don't think they're as bad as they've been.
I just was never, I didn't pick them to win that division this year.
So I was never on high.
I was never as high on them as over nine and a half.
That was a little rich.
But there's a lot of season left.
21, the Cincinnati Bengals, who have gone down, not shocking because of Joe Burroughs injury,
from nine and a half to seven and a half.
I'll get back to them in a second.
20, the Dallas Cowboys, they've stayed at seven and a half.
The Pittsburgh Steelers at 19.
They've stayed at eight and a half.
The Atlanta Falcons at 18.
They have gone up.
They were seven and a half.
Now they're up to eight and a half,
as bad as they looked last week.
The Vegas has just not taking into account anything from that game.
And then 17, the Jacksonville Jaguars have gone up from seven and a half to eight and a half.
That is who I picked to win that division.
Back to the Bengals.
I just think we're getting to a witching hour, Trevor,
where this short-term schedule could kind of kill them early.
That's why I'm selling.
Okay.
I was really worried about the Vikings game because of Brian Flores against Jake Browning.
And I don't think Browning and the offense are as bad as they showed in that game,
but then you travel to Denver, then you play Detroit, and then you travel to Green Bay.
It's just, and it's not one of those things where you just blame.
at all on Browning, but they can't run the ball.
Chase Brown is averaging two yards of carry.
They don't consistently get the ball to T. Higgins.
They aren't.
Yeah, it feels like nobody can get the ball to T. Higgins if it's not Joe Burrow.
Right.
They aren't stout defensively.
There's really just not a lot they are good at right now.
You didn't even get to the worst part.
They're O line.
No, I said they can't run the ball.
Oh, okay, okay.
I didn't hear you say.
The line can't really do anything, but.
It starts with me the fact that Chase Brown is averaging two yards of carry.
So through three weeks,
that's insane.
Through three weeks, they have a 37.4 team run blocking grade.
That's the second lowest team run blocking grade through the first three weeks of the season
that PFF has ever recorded going back to 2006.
They can't, can't do it.
He has 47 carries for 93 yards.
When you are that egregiously bad at running the ball,
I don't end the schedule is only getting worse and you're starting a backup quarterback I'm like I'm sorry it's awful Bengals fans I feel terrible about this Joe Burrow injury but I'm selling at the seven and a half yeah the Steelers I am also selling I am just not impressed with the wins right now now I pick them to win eight games this year that's I'm just staying to my prediction they're at eight and a half so it's a minor
sell. I kind of just agree with
Vegas here. They didn't look good
against Seattle. Like I said, a million
times. They should have lost against the Jets. Xavier
Gibson just handing the ball away on a kick return
lost in the game. They beat the Patriots.
It was very ugly.
I think the Vikings and
Browns are going to tell me a lot about this
team the next two games. I don't think the Browns
are some gimmee to them.
And then my last one
I am buying,
I am holding on Jacksonville.
Holding. Because like I said, I picked them to win
the division. The passing offense has zero rhythm right now. I'm hoping it gets better in
Liam Cohen's system for Trevor Lawrence. Brian Thomas Jr. has done nothing this year.
Travis Hunter has really done nothing this year. But the defense is actually underrated.
It is. And I think more touches the Bayshalt-Tooten will help this backfield as well.
So I oddly have a little glass half full with Jacksonville because I just think the passing
offense can't be this bad for this long. There, uh, it's, it's not easy, it looks like. After
watching a lot of this offense over the last couple of weeks
trying to get into the film of why it's been so frustrating.
I mean, like, Trevor still has some really nice throws.
But it's just, it's just nothing's easy in this offense right now,
outside of when running the ball kind of looks easy for them.
But the passing game is tough.
I mean, you've got drops all over the place.
Brian Thomas Jr., Parker, Washington.
Like, it's just a, again, I don't know how else to say it other than like nothing really looks easy.
was that they don't really challenge when you look at the offense and you have those two pieces at wide receiver you would think they just challenge all three levels of the field and they don't they don't really do that with chero lawrence right now it's i think it's really hard with brian thomas junior being as inconsistent as he is it's definitely after how great he was with mac jones for a stretch last year right and and you can read liam cohen's body language at all these pressers he like
They want more out of him.
Yes.
They, like, are openly saying they want more out of him.
And, you know, that's going to be up to them to figure it out.
Who's the Jags' new defense coordinator?
What's the name?
I forgot his name.
Anthony Campanelli.
Campanelli, yes.
Dude, shout out to him, though.
I think this Jack's defense is fantastic.
Jordan Lewis was excellent this past week, and I was critical of that signing for them
because I thought it was going to put Jerry and Jones in conflict.
And I was like, you didn't really need that.
Why are you spending the money there?
Man, he looks fantastic.
I love their front.
Heinz Allen and Trayvon Walker.
Trayvon Walker had a rep this past week against, man, who was it?
I think it was Arionte Ersary.
Not a good three weeks for Ariane Arsaryotesry.
Just absolutely cooked him.
It's so impressive of a rep.
But yeah, they're playing really well.
Jags defense, for as much as everybody wants to talk about the Jags' offense,
Jags defense is making them a pretty good team.
Okay, so 24 for me.
Zach, that was 17 for you.
They were 17, right?
24 for me is the Cleveland Browns.
I'm buying, baby.
I wish I had them higher.
I really wish I could have them higher.
I don't really know what to make of the offense still.
I can't really have them higher quite yet.
This team should be two and one easily.
Their over-under win total is four and a half.
I could not be a bigger buyer on the Cleveland Browns.
And the reason why, this is the best defense in the NFL.
Whoa.
This is the best defense in the NFL.
They had an 85.9 run defense grade against the Green Bay Packers.
Josh Jacobs had 30 yards on 16 carries.
Derek Henry was a shell of himself for what the expectations were the week before.
Cincinnati Bengals couldn't do a damn thing on the ground against them in week one.
Their number one in terms of team run defense grade at 90.3.
Number three in terms of EPA per rush allowed.
So, I mean, this team is so good.
Shelby Harris is playing good.
Malik Collins is playing good.
Mason Graham is playing well.
Isaiah McGuire, obviously Miles Garrett,
Carson Swesinger is playing so well.
But it's the secondary guys, too.
The corners, the safeties.
They're all flying up and they're playing incredible.
I think this is the best defense in the NFL.
I really do.
So, excuse me, even though I don't really know what to think of the offense,
they're still figuring it out.
I don't love their offensive line.
Four and a half, this is the biggest.
anybody who watches
Mad Money from like CNBC
I'm Jim Kramer
like slamming the buy button
this is my biggest buy
of any team
four and a half's way too low
especially with a two-time
coach of the year
in Kevin's Devansky coaching them
He gets no respect
yeah
so this might be
I mean it's the Browns
we're talking about
and we both were hard buying
yes
so credit to
I yeah I have him at 26
and that's probably
looking at it a mistake
I mean, I wish I could have them higher.
I am at 24.
I don't have them that much higher, but.
I'll tell you what my biggest fear is right now.
It's not a fear in terms of the future of the team.
It's a fear of the win total.
There is going to become a point this season where they give Dylan Gabriel a look.
And I just wonder what the offense, like I think Flacco, I know he's not great,
but Flacco does enough.
And you're not guaranteed that floor with Gabriel or Shadour.
Yeah, but the problem is that like would they score six, what was it like 16 against the Bengals?
wasn't like 10 against the Ravens
and now it's 13
it's not like they're scoring points
with Flacko
there's always worse
it says a man who watched
Tim Boyle start for his scene
it's like spoken
like a man who has PTSD
Vietnam dog flashbacks
every time we talk about
holding my head
Browns though
I'm with you man
Quinn Sean Junkins in this defense
are reasons to be extremely excited.
I have the Chicago Bears at 23.
The only reason why I have them as a buy as well.
Six and a half is too low for this Bears team like we just talked about.
The reason why I don't have the Bears higher is because they were probably the worst
coverage defense in the NFL through the first two weeks.
So we've got to see them be not that for a little bit before I raised them a little bit higher
on the overall power rankings.
Patriots I have at 22.
They are two and one in this season if they don't just absolutely choke that game away
to the Steelers.
They beat themselves about as bad as you can.
They beat the Patriots in total yards, time of possession, offensive plays, everything.
They dominated that game.
The Steelers they beat.
Yes, what did I say?
You said they beat the Patriots.
Oh, well, the Patriots did beat the Patriots.
You're not wrong.
Isn't it wild we've had the same combo about both Steelers wins?
Yes.
The same combo.
The combo was how the hell did the Jets give this game to the Steelers?
How the hell did the Patriots give this game to the Steelers?
Happen again.
I mean, to be fair, that's kind of what they do with Mike Tomlin.
But my point is I'm just not.
I'm not buying into it anymore.
No, I'm really not.
So the Patriots, I have them as a hold here at eight and a half.
I kind of want to have them as a sell now that they're one and two.
But I'll stick with hold and I'll just, I'll give it another week.
We'll see.
Well, because the Raiders do not look good now.
What do you?
What's the Raiders?
What do you talk about with the Patriots lost the Raiders Week 1?
Oh, oh, oh, right.
And now you look at the Raiders and you're like,
I don't really like the look of this.
Well, the Patriots are going to win nine games,
even though they lost through the Raiders.
Yeah, they weren't ready for that one.
They were not ready to play coverage without Christian Gonzalez.
They miss him a lot.
I cannot say it enough.
He's that special of a cover talent.
Yep.
But like, how often can you play the, we need this guy back,
we need this guy back.
This is just the time of year where everybody's,
figuring it out.
I think Will Campbell's playing pretty well.
Last time I checked the grades.
He was better week two.
Odie struggled this past week.
He was almost a shutout week two.
He did give up a couple quarterback hits.
Week three.
I mean, and it was against...
No, he stinks.
Yeah, it's it.
It's over.
It's over.
Yeah.
People said he should be kicking inside a guard.
No, it should be guarding...
He should be guarding a Best Buy
as a security.
Oh, man.
You had to do it.
Oh, man.
Everybody knows how much
his podcast loves Will Campbell,
so everybody calm down.
Nick Herbig got him
pretty good,
but it's going to happen.
I have the Pittsburgh Steelers
number 21.
Speaking of.
I have them as a hold
at eight and a half.
Jacksonville Jaguars,
I have them as a hold
at number 20
at eight and a half as well.
Dallas Cowboys,
I have as a hold at seven and five,
or seven and a half,
sorry, excuse me,
their win total there.
I think DAC has played
very, very well through the first two games of the season. This past game was not great
for them. Now they don't have C.D. Lamb. I'm interested to see if their defense is any better
this next week. But Dallas could be a team. The only reason I have them in the top 20, honestly,
is Dak, because Dak played so good in those first two games. So I have a lot of faith in him
when he's playing really well. But if they struggle as a team again, I might have them lower
next week. Falcons, I have a number 18 here. I have them as a hold at eight and a half.
or sorry, yeah, at eight and a half as their win total.
You already brought the Falcons, right?
Yeah, okay.
Just that, like, this is as ugly as ugly gets this week, you know, from a lot of reasons.
But Pennix didn't play well.
The defense didn't play well.
Yeah.
So, Dalton Washington pointed this out to me.
They're tipping their pitches right now.
And I thought this was a phenomenal find by him.
And you can see more of this on the PFF NFL show.
When they go under center, Connor,
they run the ball 92.3% of the time, most in the NFL.
Were the Panthers selling out to it?
I was watching the Panthers from a different lens.
Like I was watching some of their coverage stuff.
So I didn't focus on that specifically,
but now I'm going to go back to watch it.
When they are in the shotgun, they pass the ball 93% of the time,
highest in the NFL.
I mean, if they're under center or they're running, if they're in the shotgun, they're passing, that's it.
You're completely telling the defense exactly what you're doing three weeks into the season.
So they're a little too predictable.
And I just want to say this too, after a really great week from their rookies, Xavier Watts, Billy Bowman, Jalen Walker, James Spears Jr., they had an incredible week too.
The only one of them that graded above a 60 this past week against the Panthers was Jalen Walker.
and so I'm saying that to emphasize
like these guys are rookies
like even though they play really well in week two
I've been saying this about the Falcons
the whole offseason
you're going to have games
where the rookies play really well
and you're going to think that this team's
going to compete with the bucks for the top of the division
and then you're going to have the games
where the rookies don't play well
and they're going to lose to somebody
they shouldn't lose to.
So that's why I got them at 18
so they're a hold for me at 8.5
And then I have the Bengals at number 17.
I think they're a sell at
at seven and a half that win total.
I still think we're judging them a little too harshly on a game
that got out of their control really early in Minnesota.
I still think they could be better than that.
I still think Jake Browning can give you much better than that.
But this is another team that I kind of have them at 17
because I want to see a little bit more.
I want to see them play a real game and not one that just gets away with them
very, gets away from them really quickly.
But I am worried about the Bengals.
I think they could be a lot lower.
over the next couple of weeks, depending on what happens there.
I think it goes back to our first point about them.
They cannot run the football.
Yeah, tough.
And it's just so hard.
You were saying it's like the worst in the last five years, I believe.
It's just hard to function that way.
You don't have to be top 10.
You don't have to be top 20.
See, the Bengals were like the 23rd best run team in the NFL.
He'd be like, I don't like this, but.
And that's why I got to think that it can't just be catastrophic the whole season.
Yeah, right, where like they've,
reached the basement and now there's only one direction.
So maybe I'm just holding on to too much hope, but I still think that there's
potency in this offense.
All right, we got to, we're getting to our top half of our power ranking here.

Out here smashing an encrustible during the ad read.
It's my move.
Just a, just a...
Mondays, man.
I mean, it's such a veteran move.
Veteran move.
Thank you.
Veteran move.
You got to have one on hand because these Saturdays and Mondays
get to eat, how to function?
Yeah, I was going to say,
How is your Saturday when it comes to eating?
You know what?
So Big Ten, we're really fortunate that they know it's a longer day for everyone else
because I usually do the nighttime pregame.
We have a doubleheader this weekend, so I'll do two pregame.
Who's this weekend?
Isn't this weekend slate like crazy?
It's nuts.
We have Indiana, Iowa as our like mid-afternoon kind of game.
And then, of course, the Big Dog for Big Ten Saturday.
night, Oregon at the white out
Penn Steak.
Yeah, so this is a
big one, but they feed us really, really
well when we're off the air during the games.
So that's not a problem at all.
Do you go full Paul Bissonette's strategy
where you're eating steak
twice a day on Saturday?
Whenever they have steak, I absolutely crush it.
Yeah, you do.
They wisely don't give a snake every Saturday
so I don't develop gout.
Yes.
I'm going to tell this, I'm going to tell
this story really quick before we get back to the top half of the power rankings here.
So I went to a wedding for two of my very good friends.
Oh, this must have been in 2011, so a long time ago.
So two of my buddies that I did not drive with, they were driving to the wedding and it was
like an eight, nine hour drive.
They're meatheads.
They're gym dudes.
One of, I mean, one of them is like,
One of them is like 245 pounds and can close grip bench 545.
Like if that just like lets you know like how big this dude is.
That's called anabolic.
They're reading,
they're reading Arnold's encyclopedia of lifting on the way to the wedding.
So they're serving steak at this wedding.
But it's like buffet style.
So it's not like per.
So obviously like everybody eats all the stuff.
They start putting away the food that is left over.
And they go up to.
the bride
and they're like
hey are they just going to throw that food away
and she's like
I don't know probably
and he's like
would you mind if we asked
if we could have some of the food
if they're just going to throw it away
she's like I don't care
she had just got married
she doesn't care
like she doesn't have a care in the world
it's all paid for it's done
like I don't I'm not thinking about it
so they have these like
six ounce filets
okay filet steaks
wrapped in tinfoil
and there's like
no joke probably 50 of
them. They go up to the catering company and they go, hey, can we have the stakes? And they're like,
yeah, sure, we're just going to throw them away. They put the 50 of them in a trash bag.
Oh, my God. And on the drive home, like you would grab a stick of beef jerky.
They're unwrapping filet mignon. This is ridiculous. And eating it like it's a, like it's a, like it's a McDonald's snack wrap.
Like, it's a slim gym.
100%.
They're Domizetti from Fast and Furious.
Just hand on the wheel.
Yep.
Steak in hand.
I respect it so much.
But, man, it's such a wild move.
Like, I thought they were going to bag it all up and put it in their fridge when they got home.
Nope.
Not just eat them like chicken nuggets in the car.
Nope, eating them like chicken nuggets in the car.
Man, and that's how you close grip bench, 530, folks.
Yep.
That's how you do it.
You want a close grip bench with the big dogs.
Well, you got to take all the wedding stakes and eat them in the car on the way home.
All right, 16 through 9.
16, the Arizona Cardinals, wind total has actually gone up to 9.5.
And for that reason, I am selling.
We'll get back to them.
We'll have a conversation.
For that reason, I'm out.
And for that reason, I'm out.
15, the Minnesota Vikings, they have stayed at 8.5.
They're tough one.
because I am so impressed with this coaching staff
and what Brian Flores can do
and how Kevin O'Connell can make life easy on the quarterbacks.
I just think there's a J.J. McCarthy gap of where he's at
compared to where the rest of the team is at.
Commanders are at 14 for me.
They have stayed at 9.5.
They're at no-brainer hold.
I think that's exactly who they are.
Same with the Seahawks who are at 8.5.
They are 13 for me.
They're a hold.
12 is the Broncos who are at 9.5 for me.
they are a hold spite starting out one and two yeah i think the broncos will be fine
11 san francisco 49ers who are at 10 and a half and i am holding on but i don't love it
now that nick bosa's torn his ACL joan jennings missed this week it's just something new on
the injury front with it like is christian mcalfrey going to stay healthy the niners are going
through absolute hell with injuries right now but the schedule's really light and
Kyle Shanahan's a hell of a coach and Robert Sala being back on the defensive staff
is going to help a lot and Fred Warner is playing out of his mind.
So I'm going to keep the faith that the Niners can survive these injuries.
I'm holding.
The Kansas City Chiefs have gone down from 11.5 to 9.5.
And for that reason, I'm buying.
Oh.
You're telling me, Pat, I get it.
Everything looks not very fun right now.
Like there's nothing when you watch the Chiefs that goes, I want more of this.
And it just doesn't matter.
matter. They're going to get Rishi Rice back. I think they're going to make a move for a receiver.
The offense is going to look normal when Xavier Worthy and Rishie Rice and that receiver they make
a move for, in my opinion, is on the field. Mahomes is running more. Spags has still got it as a
defensive coordinator. Don't look at this as this conversation is, do I think the Chiefs are
a Super Bowl contender? That's not the combo. The combo is they've gone from 11.5 win total to
nine and a half. I need the Kansas City Chiefs led by Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid in that defense
to get to 10 wins as a buy.
I'm taking it.
I'm taking it.
Final one, the Indianapolis Colts are at 9.
They've gone from 7.5 to 8.5.
I'll hold with the Colts.
Hell of a job by Shane Steichen and Daniel Jones
and the offensive line so far
and really all the skill talent.
Jonathan Taylor and Michael Pittman and Tyler Warren.
I just want to keep riding the wave and see it.
I don't want to like dip both feet in the water right now.
16 for me is the Arizona Cardinals as well.
We are both at 16 with the Cardinals.
They, like you said, like their win total is going up to nine and a half.
This is a sell team for me.
And it's simply for the fact that, like, I cannot trust this team.
I don't know what I'm getting week in and week out.
They have the capability of playing up with any opponent,
and they unfortunately have the capability of playing down to any opponent.
They had one drive in the second half of this game that was over one minute and 39 seconds in the second half.
The Cardinals won the turnover battle.
won the time of possession battle, they won the penalty battle. They still lost this game.
And not only that, their yards per attempt average was four and a half. They are one of the
least explosive offenses in the NFL. They have one of the lowest graded receiving grades in the
NFL. Now they just lost James Connor. They don't have a high impact run blocking game. I just
don't, Kyla Murray just doesn't want to push the ball down the field to any of these receivers
right now. The defense is good. I think they have a really good defense. And because of that,
I think that they could be in a lot of games this season.
I just do not trust this team.
They're a sell for me at nine and a half.
And until I feel like I can trust them,
I can't have this team in what is an extremely tight division.
I mean, the Seahawks, the Rams, the 49ers,
like these are good football teams.
I just, I can't see it.
So I'm selling them at 16 wins.
I mean, they got a Marvin Harrison Jr.
Was that him in that uniform, dropping the passes?
I feel awful for him.
Seeing him in the post game, it's like...
He was bummed.
You feel it's not fun to watch a guy go through that mentally.
But Trevor, I can't even believe it's him in the uniform with those drops.
I know.
It's everybody in that receiver room, like outside of Tray McBride.
We're having the same conversation we did last year.
And you brought up James Connor.
I think he's one of the true heart and souls of that team.
Yeah. Tray Benson's going to be a good player.
but I don't, it's, there's no way to go around that.
It's a brutal loss.
And just as like a silver lining,
at least Trey Benson can give you explosive runs,
which they need explosive anything on offense right now.
They just do not have an explosive offense.
They don't have an offense that's consistent or explosive.
Neither of them.
I mean, again, they almost lost the Panthers last week
when they were at home and the Panthers is coming back and they look terrible.
They were up 20 to 3 at the half.
I just can't, I cannot trust.
I cannot trust them right.
second half so just like what goes on maybe they're eating uncrustables i don't know so listen to this
yet i'm still functioning i didn't come out of the uncrustable half they just laid an egg on the pod
still trying to give you guys some content the cardinals in the second half against the saints
scored three points the cardinals in the second half against the panthers scored seven points
the Cardinals in the second half
against the Niners
scored 12 points
but they lost the game
it's just
not good
I can't trust the team
just can't trust them
Minnesota Vikings
I have them at 15 as well
they're a hold for me
here at 8 and 1 half wins
I trust the coaching staff too much
I don't really want to move on this one
that's a fair take
you know yeah that's a fair take
the Seahawks are at 14
they're at 8 and 1 half as well
They started the season at eight and a half.
They're at eight and a half now.
They're two and one.
They could very well be three and oh because they were marching down the field
and an unbelievable job by Nick Bosa to sack, fumble, Sam Darnold,
with his own right tackle, A. Lucas, which, man, sucks about.
And Nick Bosa tearing his ACL.
I mean, that's the-
It's kind of the engine to the solid defense.
The 49ers, man.
It's just brutal.
It's just brutal.
I'm slowly starting to believe in Seattle.
I have them as a hold.
I have them as a buy. I have them as a buy.
I have them as a hold, but it's the closest to a buy from a hole.
Like next week could very easily be a buy.
I'm buying this team.
I think the secondary is a little more up and down than I think when Seahawks fans
talk to me about their secondary, it feels like they have more faith in like Rick Wollin
and Josh Job and like those guys have the high plays, but they also like give up a good
amount of yardage as well.
So if their secondary becomes a little bit more lockdown, man, I like the defensive
line.
I like where the offense is going.
and Sam Donald's playing well in that system.
But they're a buy for me because I had them win in the division before the year started.
Now, I have the Rams and the 49ers a little higher in the power ranking here in a second.
But like I'm buying over eight and a half because I think they're capable of doing it.
And I think that they're on a roll right now.
So I'm buying where they're going.
Commanders might have the best rushing attack in the NFL.
And they're a nine and a half right now.
so I'm holding them at nine and a half.
Denver Broncos, they're one and two.
They're a nine and a half as well.
I'm holding on them for now,
although I'm starting to get nervous that Bo Nix
won't stop missing open receivers.
I don't know how else to say it.
Like, he is missing by so little every time
that I keep telling myself like, gosh, he's so close,
but he keeps doing it.
And because of those things, they are one and two now on the season when they could be
three and oh.
And instead that they're one and two.
And I think him not executing and not being consistent, especially when throwing
on the run is a reason why.
Plus, the defense not off to as hot of a start as.
I thought it would be better.
I thought it'd be better too.
Their coverage unit is actually struggling.
I feel like they're also letting up more on the ground than I thought they would.
Yeah, defense just isn't as stout as I thought they were going to be.
Like Amari and Hampton had a breakout game.
Right.
The week before that, Jonathan Taylor won nuclear.
It's like, you guys, I think this unit's better than this.
Maybe they just need a little time.
Chiefs, I have at 11.
9.5 is the current over and a half.
I'm holding 9.5.
Very close to a sell for me, but it's still the Chiefs.
I still am worried about that team, but I'll hold them at 9.5.
11.5 I would have been selling.
10 and a half I probably would have been selling.
9.5, I'll hold it there.
San Francisco 49ers are a hold for.
me at 10 and a half. They're 3 and 0 so far in the season, but goodness gracious.
The injuries are just mounting up for that team. So I'll hold on to them, but I don't know if
they can hold on. Indianapolis Colts, eight and a half outside of the Cleveland Browns. This
is the second easiest buy for me here with the Colts. They are already three and oh. You're
telling me they only have to win six more games to achieve over eight and a half. Connor, this is
the, I believe, number one offense, if not the number two offense in the NFL in terms of EPA
play they have punted once they have such a great understanding of what works on the
offensive side of the ball the offensive line is playing well jonathan taylor's been a monster
daniel jones is fantastic and the defense is good enough to be honest with you they are good enough
right now and i think that in a weak division the colts can absolutely win nine games especially
with the three no start um so then yeah i've got them i have them at number nine yeah the division's
a really good point then back to the nineers real quick so i did say like how long can they
survive this. There's going to be a point in the middle of this season where George Kittle and
Brandon Ayuk are back in that offense of Brock Purdy. So maybe it gives them the shot in the
arm. Right. It's like, okay, Ricky Pearsall showed that he can hold the offense when these guys are
down. Joanne Jennings, when healthy, he's a really good player. We're going to need Brandon Ayuk
time to get up to speed. George Kittles is an incredible talent at tight end, both in line and as a
receiving tight end.
So maybe the fact that they're 3 and 0 right now, the glass half full is through all
these injuries is like, well, you're not getting Nick Bosa back, but man, you got through
a pretty tough spot.
This offense might be humming the last 30% of the season.
Could be.
I'm out of respect for Kyle Shannon and how good of a head coach he is and how they are getting
players back from injury, even with Nick Bosa being out for the year.
And maybe the rookies will continue to improve, right?
Mikel Williams, CJ West
you know, Alfred Collins, those guys.
Big Al.
Big Al, still on the board somehow.

So go ahead and do that if you haven't yet.
Connor, give me your 8 through 1,
top 8 teams and your power rankings
right now for the NFL.
So top 8, of course,
since they are in my top 8,
I'm not selling here
because I don't think the movement's been drastic enough.
Eight for me is your Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Hater, who are 3 and 0.
They started out 9.5 win total.
They're now 10 and a half.
The Bucks are playing with literally 60% of their team.
And Mike Evans got hurt in this game with a hamstring injury.
Yeah.
So credit to the Bucks, it's credit to Baker Mayfield.
When somebody asked me, they go,
when Will McDonald block the kick,
how hard were you celebrating wherever you were at,
work like at SMY and I was like I was in the studio because on the clock strike zero
we're on the air so I need to be in the studio with a couple minutes left in the game
but always before the two minute warning and while I was excited because it was a sick play
will McDonald is probably my favorite player on the team at least top three and I thought it was
a cool moment as soon as he got in the end zone I looked at the clock and I said there's no way
their way and it's a little bit it's like not just the pessimistic jet side of me it's
Baker Mayfield has done this every week.
It's every single.
He has three game winning drives.
That's that he has done it every single week.
Yep.
And the jet, you know, the Jets secondary just hasn't been good enough.
So credits of the bucks, no matter how many guys they're down.
And they had like 25 holding penalties on the first drive with these XFL offensive linemen.
And they still won the game.
They're controlled most of the game.
So the bucks are at eight for me.
Yep.
They are a hold.
Just, man, like, can you stay a little healthier?
Chris Godwin and Tristan Wharf's on the way.
seven Detroit Lions.
They have gone down from 10.5
wins to 9 and a half wins.
Trevor, I am buying.
And we're recording this before Monday night football.
So even if they lose to the Ravens,
I still feel the same way because I think the Ravens are awesome.
I think people saw them get kind of smacked by Green Bay week one.
And we're like, oh, Detroit lost their coordinators.
They stink.
And I'm just not buying into that.
I mean, then they put it on them in week two for the bears.
They clown the bears.
They clown them.
I think this is still a team with a good infrastructure.
and no matter what happens to the Ravens,
I'm still buying the Detroit Lions
to get to 10 wins this year.
It's nine and a half.
This actually is like a buy the dip for me.
Number six, the Los Angeles Rams,
they've gone up from 9.5 to 10 and a half,
so the inverse of the Lions,
who went from 10 and a half to 9.5.
I'm buying the Rams as well.
I understand that they gave away that game to the Eagles
and they were in full control,
but I think the Rams also showed how good they are.
I think that, one, their play calling,
They have a front that can attack.
They have two running backs that are going right now.
The addition to Devanti Adams has been a good one.
I really like this Rams team.
Number five, the Los Angeles Chargers have gone up from nine and a half to 11.5.
I'm holding here.
But Trevor, to me, the Chargers are the story of the 2025 NFL season right now.
It makes you wonder if Roshan Slater didn't get hurt what the ceiling of this team is.
But I love the way they're passing the ball over expectation.
Amarian Hampton got going not only in the run game, but in the,
in the past game.
He was really good in the past game for them against Denver.
Justin Herbert's playing the best football of his career right now.
And Jim Harbaugh is one hell of a football coach.
Yes, he really is.
You see him in the locker room after that game and you're like, yep, I totally get it.
This guy just lives it.
He absolutely lives it.
So the Chargers, I am a hold right now for the Green Bay Packers.
They've gone up from 10.5 to 11.5.
Tough loss to the Browns, but I'm still holding.
I still think this team is really good.
It was a bad day for the offense.
The interior offensive line was dreadful in this game.
Yeah.
That's going to happen to a lot of teams against the Browns.
I think the Packers will clean it up a little bit.
But overall, I still think the Packers are a top five team in the NFL.
Three of the Buffalo Bills, they have gone from 11.5 to 13.5.
And I'm still buying.
Wow.
I'm still buying because the Bill's division stinks.
It stinks.
Like they should just sleepwalk through the division, even though Miami was competitive against them.
They blew out the jets.
They had the miracle win against the Ravens.
But now it's Saints, Patriots, Falcons, Panthers.
They don't see it.
They see the Chiefs the first week in November.
Just, this team's probably going to lose three games, man.
Yeah, that would get them over.
That would get them over.
They can lose to the Eagles at home.
They could lose to the Chiefs and have one random stinker.
And they're still over this number.
I'm still buying the bills.
I think the bills are just going to kind of.
to run through this season without much of a challenge anymore besides the eagles and the chiefs
will play them tough but they're better than the chiefs right now it's not even not close not close
so the bills it's like can you just get over this playoff hump which all bills fans are feeling
i'm not telling them anything they don't know the only reason i have the ravens over them is two
which i know seems completely insane and the ravens are 11 and a half before the season 11 and a half
now and no matter what happens on monday night football this is still a hold for me i think these are
basically a tie, everything had to go right for that miracle comeback. And they won the game.
The bills get the credit. But the way the Ravens played for three quarters, to me, was more
sustainable than what happened in the fourth quarter. And a lot of people are probably not
going to like this take, having them over the bills. But the structure of the Ravens team,
notably the Bill's struggles on defense in that game, are why I still think the Ravens are the
second best team in the NFL. We'll see. And number one, the Philadelphia Eagles, who are 11 and a half
before the season they're 11 and a half now yep i am holding on this one as well like i am with the
ravens because they're 3 and 0 the thing i love about the eagles trevor this was finally the game
where they had to get the passing offense going and they got the passing offense going i just think
the eagles are officially the fighter that comes out they they pace the fight in the first round
they see what you're going to throw and then they play exactly whatever way they need to that's why
the eagles are number one to me even if it was
scary hours for a little bit against the Rams
who always played them really well.
They almost beat them in the playoffs last year.
The Eagles are officially the, we've been there,
we know exactly what to do,
and I think that's kind of the energy of the quarterback
on the rest of the team.
Highest floor of any team in the NFL, no question.
There you go.
No question.
They have the highest floor.
Now the ceiling,
that's why they're not my number one team,
but I think that, yeah,
I mean, you cannot play anything less than your best
and beat the Philadelphia Eagles.
I fully believe that statement.
Number eight, I have the Detroit Lions.
I think they're a hold at nine and a half.
Obviously, what happens against the Ravens
will be a big deal on Monday Night Football,
but just outside of that,
I thought the Lions were going to be a team
that was going to be at 9 or 10 win team anyways.
So this is always sort of what I saw for the Lions,
so they're a hold for me there.
Number seven, I have the Los Angeles Chargers.
They are a hold for me.
I like the number at 11.5.
I would maybe go like 11.
I feel good about that.
But like 11 and 12 is basically where I would be with the Los Angeles Chargers
who are 3 and 0 here.
Fun fact about the Chargers.
They have the third least amount of penalties in the NFL through three weeks.
And they have the least amount of negatively graded plays.
They only have 187 negatively graded plays in the NFL.
They play so good.
Their defense is so fantastically structured.
They play deep coverage, too high shell.
They play cap coverage, so you have to attack underneath,
and they have a defensive player of the year candidate in Derwin James
playing in the middle of that defense.
It is all coming together so perfectly.
I don't know how long Khalil Mack is out,
but when he gets back out there, their pass rush is really nice.
It's not the best, but it's nice.
Herber is playing so damn efficient.
The O-line is playing good enough without Ray Sean Slater.
Quentin Johnson's playing a little bit better as well,
and Jim Harbaugh is a hell of a football coach.
So I think the charges are another team with a very, very high floor,
because of how disciplined they are
and how they do not beat themselves.
They certainly have not through the first three weeks.
I have the Rams at number six,
despite losing to the Philadelphia Eagles,
I thought it was the second time
where they could have beaten the Eagles in Philadelphia.
This one, outside of two blocked field goals,
they probably do.
And with the Rams sitting at 10 and a half
as they're over under,
I am buying this team.
Connor, they had six straight drives
where the Eagles had three or less plays.
Six straight drives.
We're talking about the Rams defense.
I'm not talking about Matthew Stafford.
I'm not talking about Pukinakua.
I'm not talking about Devante Adams or Kairn Williams
or the offensive line, whatever.
I'm not talking about Sean McVeigh,
the potent.
I'm not talking about the offensive side.
I'm talking about how they held the Eagles
to three or less plays on six straight.
drives.
They are a wagon of a football team.
I don't care that they lost to the Eagles.
They are right there at number six, in my opinion.
Could have had them number five or really flip back and forth between them and the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers, but I'll go ahead and give them the hometown discount there.
The Buccaneers are 3 and O.
They have the extra win over the Rams.
I have them as a hold at 10 and a half wins right now.
Yes, they are getting healthier.
The cavalry is coming.
They're 3 and 0, and I think that they are, they are,
missing as many starters as they might
the entire season at this point in time
and they're still undefeated. Baker Mayfield's playing in an
unbelievably high level. The defense is playing
very, very well. And like I said, they're going to get
a little bit healthy here. They have a stretch.
The buck's schedule upcoming is
rough. And I thought about making them
a buy at 10 and a half, but
they have next week, they host
the Eagles, then they're in Seattle,
host the Niners, in
Detroit, in New Orleans, against
the Patriots, then to the bills, then
to the Rams.
That's what we call first place schedule, folks.
That is a first play schedule.
So we'll see where they end up being, but I have them right there in my top five.
Baltimore Ravens, I have at number four.
A couple of these are basically coin flips.
You know, if the Ravens, I really want to see the Ravens win this game.
I want to see the Ravens win this game against the Detroit Lions.
If they win, I could very well put them up a couple of spots.
But for now, as we were recording this before Monday Night Football, I will call them a hold at 11.5 wins.
And the number four team right now.
Philadelphia Eagles, I have them at number three, a hold at 11 and a half.
like I mentioned, the highest floor of any team in the NFL,
but I do get worried about their overall ceiling of this team
when they go up against some of the best.
I still have the Green Bay Packers at number two.
It might be sacrilegious after losing to the Cleveland Browns,
but Cleveland, I think, is going to be one of the toughest places to play
in the NFL this upcoming season.
I mentioned how I think that they are the best defense in the NFL.
So I think that losing and struggling against that defense,
that is nothing to just go, oh, man, they stink.
They're bad.
They got all these problems.
Now, I think they're a very volatile team.
I think they're a very high variance team.
That's probably the better phrase to use.
Jordan Love still wants to be this big game hunter, throw off of his back foot,
sometimes freestyle type of a passer.
And I need him to be a little bit more structured and the offensive line to play a lot better than they did against Cleveland.
But I still think that this Green Bay Packers team is immensely talented and the ceiling is sky high for them.
Number one, I have the Buffalo Bills.
You mentioned they're at 13 and a half as an over-under-win total.
They could very well be a buy.
They were a buy for you.
I have them a hold at this number, but they are 3-0.
They are a wagon.
They have the offense to win a Super Bowl.
It's just a matter of will the defense be there for them in the end when they get to the playoffs.
So that is my number one team heading into week four right after week three.
Power rankings, folks.
There it is.
Let us know, you know, what you.
you want like what you liked about this what you want to see more of everything yeah honestly we
will do a lot of rookie talk still on this is why i know people like that from what matters most yeah
well i mean we did plenty today but it's uh man i enjoyed this this was funny i was just gonna say
i really i haven't done just straight NFL content like this with you in a in a pretty long time
in terms of the ranking format well i i really enjoyed this format i hope you guys did as well let us know
I think the Power Ranking is a lot of fun.
It's a cool way to see where we think these teams stack up against one another in a weekly format.
Obviously, now that we have sort of set the tone here in this episode, we will have another
column of like, hey, I think they're up three versus where I had them last week.
I think they're up seven, down seven, whatever it is.
So we'll add that into the mix as well.
Like I said, if we didn't spend a ton of time on your team, I will make sure that there's
a rotation to where we're talking about your team once every couple of weeks.
But we would love to hear from you guys.
